are there any animals you want as pets but you can't have them?

There's a couple I researched that ended up making me feel like I couldn't provide proper care, thus I never got them. =3 they were fun to research through! Like they were really fun to learn about. The list was: Hedgehogs, Ferrets and sugar gliders. There all pretty pricey pets, but I also found a lot of there speciality diets sorta hard. I think both sugar gliders and hedgehogs from what I remember both need insects to eat. (Sugar glides from what I remember are omnivore meanwhile hedgehogs I think are insectivores?) I think the speciality (requiring insects) is what really made me unsure/uncomfortable. But cause I have a bearded dragon now, I find bugs are less uncomfortable. (I don't mind taking care of them. I also want isopods one day...) xD Ferrets are still too pricey/out of the question for me. As they require fresh meat. And meat isn't cheap. Also ferrets compared to sugar glides, ferrets are strict carnivores. I know there's a couple of ferret channels I used to watch that were around ferret education and finding out they only eat made me go 'oh'. - Also I wouldn't get them because they are predators and i have guinea pig girls. (prey) and I don't think my little piggies would feel safe. I remember too ferrets had more health issues and I remember they get into everything and also can get bored of there toys quickly. (which sounds pricey in the end. cause most ferret owners recommend keeping a bunch and cycling thru them) Ferrets also need to be bought in pairs. Hedgehogs from what I remember are extremely shy, and are night animals, they seem to have a lot of the same requirements guinea pigs have. (No mesh cage bottom, must get hides, needs space to run around etc) I do think the difference I remember from hedgehogs vs guinea pigs is hedge-y hogs are able to climb. (guinea pigs not so much) They also like running on wheels. (something piggies can't do) I do remember reading they don't really like 'toys'. & cause they aren't rodents I don't know if they would need chews like piggies do. Hedgehogs from what I remember do better solo. For sugar glides from what I remember they require there cage to be tall, rather then long in width. They I think are also more night animals? They also from what I remember like to eat up high. (I'm short i'm sorry D=) They also require nesting areas I think for them to sleep. They also love toys. They also do better in pairs. ... oh geez I just realized I info dumped. D= I'm sorry xD

Incidentally- I have been avoiding spoilers for Rise of the Beasts, because I haven't been able to see it.

That being said, however, Jazz actually DOES have a beast mode, though it's not quite the same as Optimus Primal and co. He's partially insecticon, something inherited from his grand-dam, Majora. His frame and features are segmented, and there is a hidden extra set of arms- which gives him six limbs.

It's also a reason why he can lift pretty well past his own body size, and can see in spectrums other mechanisms can't. That's not to say he's impervious, but very much a hive-social creature with enough natural weapons to make him a formidable foe.

i have definitely made a post like this before but i’m so fucking fed up with ppl that i’m making it again. why does no one seem to know what a trigger warning is!! why are people so offended by the idea of giving other people information to regulate themselves?? “life doesn’t come with trigger warnings!” IT LITERALLY DOES?? WHAT DO YOU THINK MOVIE RATINGS ARE?? we use trigger warnings all the fucking time.

also: no one seems to know what being triggered means?? being triggered is shorthand for stimuli or situations triggering a mental health crisis. whether that crisis is a PTSD episode, a psychotic episode, a panic attack, a meltdown, etc. being triggered is not “this makes me comfortable” or being “easily offended”, it’s a serious case of emotional distress and dysregulation.

and the wild thing is, most people who complain about trigger warnings are the same kind of ppl who are trying to get books they find even slightly offensive banned from places like schools! they’re the same people who will shoot at their bud lite cans bc they saw a single trans person collaborating with the company. the people who seem so aggravated by people with literal trauma and mental health issues asking for a little heads up are the same ppl who would spontaneously combust if someone said the words “reparations” within a mile radius of them.
