“Love At First Sight”

A/n: Okay Part one of my series.

You were just a normal Vampire being going around trying to get firewood for your home as you know the cold winter season is coming.But as you were picking up some wood you heard noises you went into a fighting mood, grabbing one of the bigger pieces of wood to use as a weapon. With hearing the noises stopping you got the rest of the wood and ran back to your home. 

Once you got home you made yourself some tea and just sat back in your chair as your mind calmed down till a knock came at your door. At first you were going to call out but what happened just right now you turned off your light and armed yourself and just stood there not making a noise as the knocking continued.

“I apologize for scaring you earlier, can you please open the door”, the voice seemed calmed and non threatening so you walked towards the door opening it a bit. “What is it you need” “All i am asking is for some shelter” “And why should i let you huh”. Yes you were a little mean to the person on the other side of the door but how couldn’t you as a very weak vampire in this world it’s hard to trust anyone. With a bit more talking you finally opened the door seeing a blue eyed person with long white hair and beautiful dark skin. They took you by shock as they asked if you were alright. You only made some way for them to come in. 

With some talking you found out this wasn’t the first time the blue eyed person or ‘Luna’ has seen you. You handed them some tea as they told you their story and you did feel some pity and surprise as the story of the blue eyed vampire was real. In a way you felt flattered as you did catch their attention so you let them stay the night but not with you blocking your door out of fear. 

Time did go by as you did let Luna stay with you and was always here when they came back. And when they would leave that's when you would let your weakness show as you are incredibly sick as you knew your time in this world would soon end. With that you never told Luna and that made you calm as you were ready to talk about your feelings. Till they came back with two children. After talking you let them all stay at your home. It was all fine and well till you were talking with the white haired boy till you started to cough a little too much. He did call out as you fainted on the floor. 

You woke up with a headache seeing the small white haired boy started to cry into your shoulder, with that the two others came in. With the ravenette dragging out the white haired boy you were now alone with Luna. 

“Y/n tell me the truth” “What truth” “Please you know i am worried about you”, Luna said as they sat next to you. You blushed as they placed a hand on yours. You took yours  away as you got up. “I’m fine Luna” “Y/n please”. The rest of the day you were quiet but not when the boys talked to you. 

At night Luna came into your room as you laid in bed as they slid under the covers as you pulled them closer. You rubbed their back as they slept in your arms. 

The next early morning you left Luna with a confession. When Luna woke up to not find you but the note it broke them.

In summary you stated that you loved Luna as when you first saw them they took your heart. Then you went on about how you were sick and would not want to burden them as you knew they would find out. With that they knew you were gone, in their point of view when they first saw you they knew they wanted to be with you. 

Yes you were selfish here but please why would you want this continued with you keep getting more sick to the point where you die. So yes you left.

It's been said before, but I do really love how VnC seems to have taken it upon itself to spend time on every one of the classic themes associated with vampire literature.

Vampirism as a disease? Vampirism as seduction and/or sexual assault? Vampirism as an excuse for othering and xenophobia? Fear of the corruption of natural death? It's all there. VnC vampires aren't traditional vampires in any part of their actual lore, but god, Mochijun knows what she's doing on a thematic level.

#the corruption of death thing hasn't been as big a theme quite yet. but it's lurking around the edges #particularly with Misha's desire to resurrect luna and the way that concept is portrayed #and I suspect that idea is going to connect back to teacher's own fixation on luna and/or whatever's going on with the queen as well #and there's the fact that vani's going to die at the end. and that that's preferable to whatever the Mark will turn him into #god I love this series #vnc #vanitas no carte #the case study of vanitas #english major hours

Found Blue Moon Ice Cream in a store and I 404'd on the spot

Apparently it's a mystical ice cream that tastes like vanilla and marshmallow, but Wikipedia isn't even sure about that so huh ??

Also the wiki page says that there's different brands claiming that their blue moon ice cream is the real one what is this mystery

All I need to know is that Luna definitely reincarnated into the real world to make this and Vanitas would hate this ice cream for so many reasons (it's cold, it (apparently) tastes sickeningly sweet, it has blue moon in the name, etc, etc...)
