The crew!

SO- I have a bit of an obsession with characters that show up every few episodes, and think what happened in the meantime. In this case when in the finale of the anime it was stated Joe and Sirica became friends, my brain went back to other characters that appeared once and never again, like Benikage and Vee... and how they’d get along if they would be lumped together.

And this AU ended up happening, I am such a sucker for characters going on an adventure together and a small group of close-knitted friends grow and mature together. And this is where Inki came in, because Indulgence(tm) - and form a small crew of younger Star Warriors. c:

paladin OC x reader??

"I'll kill you! I mean it this time!" The blade in your hand is too small to do any real damage to the armored man, but you still wield it in front of you like all hell.

"Get away from me!" He mimics your steps as you move away. Tears sting in your eyes.

Of course he had to come back now, after everything was finally perfect. And he has to ruin it, like he always does.

He smiles. His teeth are almost as shiny as his armor.

"Oh, darling, aren't you the cutest little thing?" You swing as he rushed at you, but he snatches your wrist and the knife clatters to the floor. "I taught you better than that, didn't I?"

You're furious now, thrashing in his grasp. He tightens his grip, then loosens it almost immediately.

"Stop." And you do. His smile is gone, his tone no longer teasing. "I'm here to save you, my love."

There's rustling behind you, his eyes flick towards the figure.

"Mada...?" Jerin speaks quietly, padding slowly towards the two. You can hear the waver in your son's voice.

"Go back inside, minnow." You speak sweetly, taking advantage of the man's distraction and pulling away. You watch the boy hesitate, glancing wearily at Hok.

You quickly rush towards the boy, away from Hok. Wrapping him in your arms and pressing his face into the curve of your neck. "He's just an old friend, minnow."

You glare at the paladin as he snaps from his stupor. His pointed ears twitch in annoyance and his onyx eyes meet yours with equal ire.

"What have you done?"

"I told you I wouldn't wait." You meet him with a strong attitude. You couldn't do that before.

You're lying through your teeth. You both know it.

The boy is his. His slight pointed ears and too dark eyes are not human, neither are the markings that travel his arms and cheeks.

Hok was so sure he thought of everything.

Your husband was captured for his crimes, the village was being patrolled by his own select soldiers.

You always were full of surprises.

You are a young woman who also happens to be a witch- ending up with you in a college of mythical beings... {This story is gonna be silly chaos and will be aimed at my fellow bisexuals.}

What's it like to be dead?

Cassian can't remember what his heartbeat felt like... Sometimes he catches himself mimicking the pattern in which that you breathe as he watches you.

Baby blues shine in a way that seems almost inhuman in certain lighting, watch him for long enough and it's easy to see he isn't a breathing being anymore. He unintentionally mimics those who still have a pulse, a part of him craving to know what that's like again.

What's it like being alive?

It's cruel and unfair. He could have aged and lived the life of an average person. He had potential- he was going places in life.

It's unfair how he can't remember what it's like to live yet he remembers what it's like to die.

Crimson painting the walls in a morbid display, crying and screams that are all his own, fingers pressing into the splintered wood in an attempt to drag himself towards the still body

"Edith..."

Not like this. It can't be like this. This isn't right.

His touch graces the palm of her hand, she's so cold that it makes his insides ache. He tries to shift closer, the movement causing the bone in his broken leg to poke out further, a harsh gasp leaving his throat.

Every inch of his body has suffered and yet what hurts the most is seeing her silent and unmoving.

"Edith... Please."

The vampire bite on her neck visible as a symbol of something inevitable. The smallest sliver of hope remains in his mind that they will be found, however the raging winter storm outside states otherwise.

It was Alexi's fault. All of this. Her family. Her family did this. He trusted her.

He snaps out of it when he hears your voice, he didn't even realize he had began crying. Seated on the bench outside with autumn leaves drifting past, the leaves dead yet still beautiful painting the ground in an array of browns, yellows and oranges... He often wonders if he's much like the leaves- drifting past only to slowly deteriorate into soil in the end.

"Cassian...? Are you okay?"

You immediately internally face palmed- of course he's not okay. He is clearly very not okay.

"M'fine."

Usually he was much more talkative than this... He doesn't want to discuss what's going on, you can feel that from the look in his eyes. You know better than to try to pry, it's not your place and would likely only make what he's experiencing worse. Instead you offer what you can.

"Would you like some tea...? We can just sit or talk about something else. Whatever you need."

You watch his awkward shifting as he's a bit unsure how to answer, he doesn't really get comforted like this and especially didn't expect it from you. A slow nod as he wipes away his tears with the back of his hand.

"Yeah... Okay."

Hopefully Sev is okay with you snagging some of his tea bags... Eh- it'll be fine.

Hidden heart of gold.

Allergic to routine.

Not here for a long time, just a good time.

Vitriolic best friends with Boba and they can’t stop fucking.

Claims she doesn’t care about Boba, but also has periodic check in calls with him to make sure he’s okay. Boba pretends he’s annoyed but he actually looks forward to their calls.

Hates the heat and sun, but will visit Boba on Tatooine.

Vee: *looks down and sees a weird semi-anthropomorphic plant poking out of the ground* The hell are you?

Rumor Weed: Oh, just a concerned citizen, now listen. I gotta warn you about your friend over there, with the fancy pink bathrobe. *points over at Abyssal*

Vee: *puts up a rather impressive poker face* ...Keep talkin'.

Rumor Weed: *glances around, then leans in and keeps her voice low* I overheard her talking to that scruffy guy with the hat and glasses. Apparently, she's some kind of shadow thing that's supposed to spread chaos and destruction for the sake of her dark master.

Vee: Wow.

Rumor Weed: Heavy stuff, I know.

Vee: No, I mean, "Wow, you seriously expect me to give a crap?"

Rumor Weed: Huh!?

Vee: Listen honey, first off? I'm not about to stand here and listen to some random stranger talk shit about my friend, especially a patch of crabgrass whose fashion sense would've been tacky in the decade you stole it from.

Rumor Weed: Hey now-

Vee: SECOND, even if what you're saying is true, which honestly wouldn't surprise me with this group, it honestly wouldn't even be that big a deal? I mean, about a fifth of the people here were originally designed to be evil, including me!

Rumor Weed: *stunned speechless, because she was NOT expecting this kind of pushback*
