I know it seems odd to cry over not getting my other half when we have Trapped right there, but I will forever hold out hope that HIStory 23: Freed is coming. Tang Yi has got to be free now. Shao Fei has got to be off the force too, so we WILL get them again . . . right?

Kiseki gave us so much, so I can't be mad at it for not giving me MORE! My only real consolation is knowing that these men will now carry on the tradition of showing up in other Taiwanese BLs.

And one of those cameos will be on HIStory 23: Freed!

Favorite Intrepid Heroes Characters:

Now that I have finished watching all of the Dimension 20 campaigns (currently running one notwithstanding, obviously), I want to talk about my favorite characters played by the Intrepid Heroes!

Emily Axford:

Okay, listen, Emily is a very talented player who knows how to make a character work, but this was the easiest call for me. I am in love with Unsleeping City's Sofia Bicicleta Lee, she is one of my favorite PCs overall.

The badass martial arts wife of the ultimate wife guy, whose best friend is a talking rat. Plus, she looks like Fran Drescher and I mean, c'mon, I'm just a lesbian born in the early 90s. How could I not.

I'm afraid I don't have a 'close' second for Emily, because all her characters are great and close together, but Sofia shoots out for me.

Lou Wilson:

It's kind of funny how Lou and Emily are inherently linked for me in this, because until I watched ACoFaF, I thought I'd be putting Unsleeping City's Kingston Brown down here.

However, absolutely everything A Court of Fey and Flowers' Squak Airavis has going on is so utterly impeccable. He is such a queer mess, it's amazing. (And it's linked to Emily, because something very important about him is his dynamic with his dear cousin Chirp.)

Zac Oyama:

I'm glad that ACoFaF made me pick Squak for Lou, because otherwise, this would feel like just a list of Unsleeping City characters, because for Zac, it's so very clearly and definitely Ricky Matsui.

The ultimate himbo. The courageous firefighter with his good boy puppy. Absolute wife guy even though he takes too damn long to figure that getting-married-part out. I love Ricky so, so, so much.

Though, second place shout-out to Colin Provolone from Ravening War, that lil cheese knight was so much fun to enjoy and he had so much tension, it was incredible.

Brian Murphy:

My favorite Fantasy High PC - Riz 'The Ball' Gukgak, hands down. That wanna be detective boy is too precious, plus, as an ace I was so, so, so hyped and excited about the rep in him.

Second place shout-out, once more, to Unsleeping City and... surprisingly, to Cody Walsh. I love Kugrash a whole lot, but there was something utterly hilarious to Cody.

Siobhan Thompson:

Hers was my favorite character on A Starstruck Odyssey - I love Riva. They were also such a refreshing flavor for Siobhan, honestly? They were utterly precious and adorable and sweet.

Second place... okay, look, it's Unsleeping City again, yeah. But out of the two characters she played, I actually loved Iga Lisowski more. The Polish mom who guards the dragon. Amazing character pitch, honestly.

Ally Beardsley:

Actually genuinely the hardest choice because Ally is amazing at creating characters. But as a lesbian with a certain type, I am obliged to say A Starstruck Odyssey's Margaret Encino. A hot lady with a purpose and a load of money. When they started calling her Mommy? Oh boy fans self. It was also so much fun to see a character who didn't really do combat but actually got so much done with business calls. Competence is sexy, y'all.

Second place goes to Lars Vandenchomp from Mice and Murder though. Love me a loyal himbo and they were such a good puppy? Amazing.

His laugh is music. Promptly puts on his normal blank expression and acts like it never happened. This is a thing now. “Did you lose more evidence?”Mia asked, laughing from her desk.

“Wha?! I- no, I just put it down, and it’s not where I left it,” Miles stumbled over his words.

“I have it brother. You left it on my desk when you went to talk to your boyfriend,” Franziska sighed, waving the file around.

“He is not my boyfriend!” Miles yelled. Then the door opened, and everyone turned.

“Hey, is Mr.Edgeworth here right now? Our new guy is here,” Ray said, as he poked his head in.

“Father’s out investigating. What do you mean our new guy?” Franziska asked, frowning at her lack of information.

Ray laughed, before opening the door all the way and walking in. Behind him, was a boy with horns, who looked completely star struck.

“Hey kid, you gonna introduce yourself?”

“Uh, right! Sorry. I’m Apollo Justice and as of today I’ll be a part of this office! It’s a pleasure to meet you all!” The boy yelled, causing everyone to wince.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you,” Miles said, extending his hand. “I’m Miles Edgeworth, this is Mia Fey, and that’s Franziska von Karma. You’ve already met Raymond Sheilds and my father, Gregory Edgeworth, I’m assuming.”

“Yes! Thank you!” Another knock came from the door.

“Hello everyone, look who I fou- Oh Apollo, hello. I wasn’t expecting you till later,” Gregory said, as he entered the office.

“Ah, sorry. I got here a little early and Mr. Shields told me to come up.”

“Hey Mr.Edgeworth, the foods getting cold!” A girl's voice yelled from outside the office. Then two heads popped around the corner. “Hey sis!” The girl yelled.

“Maya, Phoenix. Did you two bring food?” Mia asked, standing up to greet her sister and friend by the door.

“Yes ma’am,” Phoenix said, “We were told you were getting a new member, so we thought a group lunch would be nice.”

“Alright, bring the food over here,” Ray called, from where he had cleared a table. “I wanna get to know Pollo.”

They set up, and passed out drinks and burgers for everyone. Phoenix was introduced to Apollo as Miles’s best friend since grade school, a part time assistant here at the Edgeworth and co. law office, and an aspiring actor. He also found out that Maya was Mia’s sister, and had a tendency to get accused of murder. “You aren’t officially part of this office until you've defended her,” Mia had laughed.

“So how ‘bout you?” Maya asked, around a mouthful of burger. “What’s your story?”

“Ah, it’s kind of long.” 

“We have time,”Maya cut in, and everyone nodded.

 “Well, back when I was younger, I met an amazing defense attorney. He saved me and my dad, actually you might have heard of him. His name is Dhurke Sahdmadhi from the kingdom of Khura’in,” Mia and Maya choked on their drinks. But they didn’t say anything, so he continued. “Anyway we were supposedly dead, so until that was cleared up, we were stuck in Khura’in. When we came back to LA, it turned out my mom had remarried, and had a daughter with her new husband. But, long story short, he was a bit of a dick and she still loved my dad, so they got a divorce and she married my dad again. And that’s it…”

“That sounds like quite the adventure,” Phoenix said, “How old are you again?”

“I’m twenty two, oh and I did work at the Gavin law office before this. That’s abou-”

“Wait! Gavin law office? As in Kristoph Gavin who forged evidence?” Franziska asked in disbelief. She always kept an eye on cases of forged evidence, she never wanted anything like what happened with her father to happen again.

“Uh, ya?”

She pulled him into a hug, “You poor thing.” Apollo looked rightfully confused, as the rest of the office snickered.

“So, any other friends?” Gregory asked.

“Hm, I have a friend from middle school. His name’s Clay Terran, he’s doing astronaut training. He’ll hopefully be joining the HAT-2 mission,” Apollo hummed. He wouldn’t normally talk this much about himself, but he figured it would be best if his boss knows this stuff.

“HAT-2? Oh, do you know Dr. Cykes?” Gregory asked.

“I’ve met her a few times, why?”

“We consult her ever now and then,” Ray said. “Nice lady. I think her daughter is in school to become a defense lawyer, isn’t she?”

Gregory nodded, “I’ve already offered her an internship here if it interested her.”

Maya looked up, and her eyes nearly bulged out of her skull. “Shit! Nick, we need to go or you’ll miss the audition!”

“Huh?” He looked up at the clock, “Shit! Sorry, we have to run, it was nice meeting you Apollo. Bye Miles, Bye everyone!” He yelled as him and Maya ran out the door. It was silent before Franziska spoke up.

“Not your boyfriend huh?”

“Shut up!”

Okay, im so excited, ill put it under the cut though EHEHEHE

Cam is one of those characters that in my opinion is there to be....like....deplorable. Like Erik from phantom of the opera (i actually have an AU of that in my queue for July OTL sorry its so far, pride got a big chunk of june), in the "yeah toxic absolutely mansplain manipulate manslaughter but if evil why sexy?" I think its great to love morally questionable characters and i love love lovvveee cam

Okay so backstory first, then other tidbits — long story short, imagine being so fucking cringe you get cucked by 3 generations of the same family and then end up being such a nice guy about it you turn evil. He's like "he's irredeemable. Oh wait he is redee- never mind he's actually still gross"

Cam is a changeling and a hexblood. He's super duper in kahoots with Alphonse's whole family tree — you don't tend to age that fast in the feywild, that's important to keep in mind. He was born to like really humble family in the feywild, adopted and raised by an aunt (h-hag), unseelie court (not evil, i don't like how binary some people make the seelie and unseelie court, but theyre definitely opposing sides). And he worked really hard to get his career off the ground.

Cut to when he's a young lad, like 20 in whatever the equiv of fey ages are. Kinda falls for this Seelie gladiator who he saw performing (for the royal court) and loooooved the thought of performative battle. That was the monk-barbarian Maxmillion Zeus Chiore who's Alphonse's maternal grandpa. Max is like nah dude I'm a player, accidentally knocks up a woman and has to take care of the child who he was a really good dad to and ended up being kinda mellow.

Cam's like ugh he lost his flair. I wanna be a performer though. Grinds his ass learning to do ballet dancing, opera, and stage direction (Maestro bard). He's a really solid singer and since he's a changeling, he's usually deemed to be like a double or understudy — obvs wanes on him a little bc he wants the spot light. Years pass, he spots Max's daughter, Aesta, who leaves the royal court performing gig to be part of a travelling bard theatre troupe and he's like YOOO ill join you. So he does, they're really solid together, Aesta's an actress mainly, and Cam's like......bites lip. Aesta turns him down, and no matter how hard he works to try and convince her she's just not interested.

At this point. He kinda has this "I've busted my ass for everything in my career and my life i came from dirt. You noble seelie mfs are so dismissive of my feelings bc you have everything already, give me a chance" RED FLAGS ALL OVER. Worst of all, Aesta fucks off to the material plane for a while and Cam catches wind she married a MATERIAL PLANE ELADRIN, whos not a performer, he's a samurai. At this point he blows his fucking lid and storms off to his aunt like OOOH why i oughta!!!

At this point in a fit of rage he decides to swear an oath of vengeance (he's an ancients paladin) on behalf of the seelie court. Also becomes a hexblood — so the catch is that because of this, he has a crown of eldercross and a curl on the centre of his forehead (when he's good, he's very very good, but when bad, he's horrid). And every disguise he has now has a limit as his punishment.

Timelines diverge here — in one timeline, he actually DIES (slipped on a tomato, fell off the stage and broke his neck. So cringe) and now has a revenant bullshit thing going on. The other one, he unfortunately lives and ends up being the guard of Hallow King and the Unseelie side of the Harvester's Passage (its a two way door that connects the courts at the autumn court. Duke is on the other side).

Long time passes. This 7'6" fucking idiot falls through a fairy ring, he hears through duke who heard through pin that this guy is a chiore (goes by Alphonse Alpenski) and Cam is just livid bc alphonse is kind of a freak accident as material-fey offspring is pretty much impossible — its the genealogy of plants and crossbreeding, just doesn't happen. My DND character missenterpreted by my friends

I'll start by giving a small sumary of my character.

His name is Helel ben Sahar, he's an eladrin elf, 120-150 years old, he/they, masc nonbinary, pansexual, tall, androgynous, long hair, long nails, loves to dress feminine and be fabulous.

He's a storm sorcerer, youngest prince of a Kingdom in the Feywild, his hair colour changes based on the season he's attuned in (this is one of my fav characteristics of all time), he's chaotic evil and the second dnd character i ever made, also the first one to have a detailed backstory and even family npcs with their own description.

He's a very spoiled prince, very flirty and charismatic ofc the complete opposite of my party ie my friend's characters.

Under all that he's a lonely sheltered child who just wants to find his own place in life, you know, because he's the youngest (big sis and big bro) he aint gonna be the next heir and his parents just let him do his own thing, that's why he leaves in search of adventure.

Now to the missinterpretation by my friends.

They think of my sorcerer as a whore, even more so than how he actually is like... i don't mind you thinking that but at least get your facts straight (heh)

So across our campaign there were 3 npcs that caught the attention of Sahar, 2 of them were actually married to each other, it was a couple of two husbands one of them asked our party to save the other and that's how we met.

Ofc one of the first things i ask when meeting an npc is "are they cute tho?" and my DM friend loved answering that ok, so when we meet the first husband my sorcerer was like "for someone as cute as you i'll be willing to do it" but in the middle of the quest, my character was dying of exhaustion so he was like "the 2nd husband better be hot to be worth all this"... turns out he was, so ... i flirted here and there with both of the npcs and even offered them a night of passion, but they weren't into polyamory so i left it at that.

"I'm not a monster Jake", Sahar respects people's sexual and romantic boundaries, in anything else he doesn't care.

For some reason my friends didn't get that... they tought i wanted to break them apart and kept joking about it, and i was "eh whatever" till i realized they actually meant it which made me so confused cause if i wanted to i would, that's the whole personality of my Sorcerer, he gets what he wants if not heads roll.

And that's how he was in any other aspect of the campaign just no on the romance part, our DM makes us write and sign a consent sheet of the content we are comfortable and not in having presented in the campaign, and all of us wrote off any kind of sexual violence cause nah, we don't want that...

So tell me, why did 3 of my 5 friends thought Sahar wanted to force himself into the npcs marital relationship!? Cause I have no idea

The 3rd npc was a pirate captain lady and actually one of my friend's character and my own did have some fun with her, all consensual, and she got pregnant o: so there was 50/50 chance the kid was mine, cause ofc she had to be a freaking dragon in disguise (dragons are literally free for all when it comes to interspecies reproduction lol)

After some dice were rolled turned out it was mine, and cause she aint a girl that wanted to settled down, she free she a pirate, and Sahar didn't want to live their life on a ship they decided she would keep the child, he would pay child support and visit here and there, and she was happy with that arrangment.

And once again my friends were like: you are an absent father, you just mess around and leave cause you don't wanna settle down, "eres como todo papá de latinoamérica"... bruh

Literally family is the most important thing for Sahar, he loves his family, what are you talking about!?

Also my Sorcerer ended up marrying a Fey lord, to save one of their friend's ass cause by that point in the story he felt endearment towards the party they weren't strangers anymore so he was willing to take one for the team, and so he did.

They formed a fey contract, Sahar was to marry him and he would give us the weapon we needed to progress the story.

So they married even after my friends did everything to crash and stop the wedding Shrek style, what they didn't know was what Sahar planned on doing right after the wedding...

Let's be honest if the Fey lord asked my Sorcerer's hand in marriage in any other fashion, maybe just maybe he would have said yes, cause he was a cute floral wolf but because he did it with a fey contract Sahar felt used... and he didn't like that, he's the one that uses other people, never the one to be used so ofc he killed his husband.

My Sorcerer went from single, to married, to widowed all in the same day asjhffgkjsgjns it was great.

Oh and he also had a collection of dildos he found throughout the story pfft i'm not kidding, in my inventory there were so many dildos, of different shapes, sizes, based on different species.... i even rolled a NAT 20 and found the rarest of them all or so my DM said... a Basilisk dildo xD

By the end of the campain Sahar went back to his family, to the Feywild, having matured and with a lot of stories to tell, he literally killed a God so he's ready to boast about it and receive all the praise they deserve.

I was rereading some of your ask on Ruyi and it got me thinking,if the Empress Dowager hated Gao Bin and by default Hui Gui Fei as well,why did she bother recommending Xi Yue as one of Qianlong's potential wife to him in the early episodes?Also just wanna say,I've been noticing this same trait Zhen Huan's Yongzheng and Ruyi's Qianlong shared is that they find it almost impossible to be remorseful of the wrongs they've inflicted upon their concubines or empresses.They'd be sorry for like one minute and the other plainly angry that the concubine didn't forgive them as quickly as they thought she would.Father and son really share similarities eh🤪I get it,they're emperors and "the son of the heaven" and sometimes it's related to consolidating their own power and related to state matters, but still...never fails to irritate me to watch that unfold

As far as I remember, the empress dowager didn’t always hate Gao Bin. I think at the beginning she was on his side or at least neutral about him, because he wasn’t doing anything against her. Later it was Gao Bin who suggested marrying her daughter off to Mongolia and that’s when she started hating him.

Liu Lian Zi wrote both Zhen Huan and Ruyi and it’s clear that she has certain archetypes and complexes she always comes back to. I guess as you said with Yongzheng and Qianlong you can say they’re father and son. I mildly hate the way she overuses the replacement goldfish trope. With Zhen Huan, it was her being a replacement for Chunyuan. It’s not so obvious in the Ruyi drama, but in the novel, Wei Yanwan is supposed to look a lot like Ruyi, and Dun Fei who Qianlong favours after Ruyi’s death resembles her as well.  -h

February has rather been, distressful. I started having fear again. I can't seem to remember what's been consuming my mind but seems like once again, i'm feeling self conscious. the thought of aging scares me. Im so scared of the possibilities, the future the changes that I need to go through, mostly the physical changes. I am scared I won't be competent anymore I won't be fit anymore I won't be active anymore I won't be as attractive anymore i'm scared of watching my youth slipping away each day. I tried to convince myself you can't be young forever fey its okay to grow old you're entering the new phase of life but deep inside I haven't had enough. I don't want to move to the next stage of my life just yet there's so much thing I wanna do and I wanna achieve but im not sure how much time I have left.

Watching each one of my friend settling down sure gives me fomo but overall im fine just being with myself. I know for a fact I will get there I know I will have my own family too my own kids but I need a lil bit more time to enjoy my solitude. I've always wanted to get married at 30 and now that im 28 I only have 2 years left to be on my own and honestly, im not sure if I will be mentally, emotionally, physically and financially ready by that time. It's stressing me out thinking I might need to start saving for my marriage but I haven't spoiled myself enough. I haven't bought myself anything nice nor take myself to places how am I going to spoil someone else.

When I love, I love wholeheartedly. I probably would care about his wellbeing and happiness more than mine but isn't it not fair to myself? When I have never received such treatment and now that im slowly capable of loving and affording myself, I get pressured to get married? all my life I have always been supporting other people. My money, my energy, my time, my feelings, but when it comes to my own happiness nobody really gives a shit. and I guess that answers why I've been disassociating myself from a lot of people cause at the end of the day, they don't get it. and its okay.

Huai Dao chapter 8: Sheng Yao (detail oriented flirt) likes Su Junzi (happily married family man)

Ohhhh. Okay look so 1 theyre side characters, Im almost sure Shen Yexi and Jiang Hu are the main pairing of the novel.

2 Sheng Yao and Su Junzi are absolutely characters with traits that priest was like: oh yeah i gotta try these out again with more characters. And those would include Fei Du and Luo Wenzhou. So like. If youve read modu, you know Fei Du likes Tao Ran, and Luo Wenzhou likes Tao Ran. But Tao Ran is *presumed straight (he is Rejecting them both is the point). So Luo Wenzhou IS single. So when Fei Du hits on Tao Ran, its Kind Of shitty to hit on Luo Wenzhous crush, but also neither of them are getting their advances accepted, so theyre really just both losers mutually looking pathetic about their crush not liking them. So when Fei Du switches to hit on Luo Wenzhou, well. Luo Wenzhou IS single. There is no actual 3rd party to cheat on or hurt or betray. The only obstacles to them dating are their self imposed personal reasons (Fei Du not wanting to actually date someone he loves in fear he will hurt them, Fei Du knowing hes lying to Luo Wenzhou, Luo Wenzhou being so protective and semi-guardian over Fei Du for so long that hes like a kid to him, Luo Wenzhou intensely aware of the myriad of power inequalities from both sides, Luo Wenzhou aware Fei Du for some reason Doesnt wanna Actually be committed and is lying - at least at first). But uh. Su Junzi is married married.

Oh priest how are u gonna hurt me. Is this gonna be a Tao Ran situation where Su Junzi is straight and sweet and just an unobtainable crush Sheng Yao silently harbors until he meets someone else? Which is the path Fei Du took with crushing on Tao Ran. Is Su Junzi bi and going to lose his wife tragically (super emotionally fucked up if so ill cry), and Sheng Yao helps with his kid and they end up together eventually? (I sincerely doubt it but) are we getting a polyamorous 3 people situation - that would be the least Hurt My Heart answer. And if Sheng Yao moves on from this crush, Su Junzi just being a catalyst making him realize he does want to settle down with someone... who on Earth is he going to date??? Because Sheng Yao really built Su Junzi up in his head as HIS partner, his companion, his Close Friend he always cares about. And even on a platonic level, it is HARD to find a new romance partner who grows into someone u love as much as a long term best friend (which is maybe why when people do, they stay in long term relationships with Those crushes that become best friends to them too). Like. Its going to be hard for a new person to worm into Sheng Yaos heart at the degree a close friend like Su Junzi already is.

Oh and Jiang Hu? Im not sure yet how i feel about him and Shen Yexi. Im still somehow hoping for a Hannibal level fucked up dynamic. But Jiang Hus not really giving Liar or Dangerous, so much as foreigner with his own peculiar habits (and spacey) and with a personality that just doesnt Totally mesh with a police (which means hes pretty normal for a guy youd run into in a university). And Shen Yexi, unless he flips WILDY which i guess is possible like Fei Dus lie reveal, well he is just fairly earnest? He seems to be a good employee, a priest lead who Isnt a flirt (actually fun and shocking to me he And Jiang Hu arent flirts since the other mystery priest novels ive read at least one lead is), seems to care to help people but not glorify it or expect impossibly perfect results from himself (which is what Luo Wenzhou absolutely does - hold himself to superhero expectations then constantly self hate that hes incapable of meeting them). Shen Yexi is fairly well adjusted, balanced, a good calm decisive leader... hes got a bit of a workaholic streak but it only is affecting him, hes not expecting it of his team too. Hes so what he appears, i just dont think hes gonna turn out to be an undercover criminal or villain type. So much as id love a Hannibal esque dynamic... i dont think its happening.

Anyway i love Sheng Yao this poor man fucked up. Fell in love with an unavailable married man.

Short answer: I think of celestials more as a genderfluid entity, it's just a divine or cursed being. Hence, Dina and Maya who have celestial heritage lean towards a rather gender-neutral body type. It could also just me being a nonbinary menace and showcase that through my oc lol :)

They do have a certain way of speaking! Dina's tone sounds serious and monotone. Maya's would be straightforward but down-to-earth playful (lots of "dudes"). Gad would have the sweetest and most charming voice, being a bard and a musical merchant.

Aasimars to my knowledge are basically humans that have a touch of celestial (celestial blood mixed in them, descendant from celestial, celestial herritage etc...basically mortals that have traces/lineage from other celestial planes).

Dina and Maya are aasimars. We've found through our games that they are descendants of a Ghaele--celestial eladrin, basically fey angels some sorts. One of the clearest physical traits being their pupilless almost white crystal eyes.

Now, I personally think or celestials--or angels--as 'creatures' rather than 'humanoids' in the 5e categories. Like if you wanna target them with a spell, you gotta use a spell that specifically said 'creatures' such as Hold Monster or Dominate Monster. For that 'loose' reasoning, I think of celestials more as a genderfluid entity, it's just a divine or cursed being. Hence, I wanna showcase this through Dina and Maya who have celestial heritage by leaning towards a rather gender-neutral body type!

Voice wise, I have not really thought of how they would sound bc when we're playing it's literally just my voice and my DM's voice all the time (we're no voice actors sadly). But we do try to portray them in a certain way they speak.

Dina is a socially awkward person. She reads a lot so she's used to speaking in her head more than outloud. So when she does speak outloud, it sounds almost too studious, monotone and unemotional. It's also funny because she can be a very emotional and passionate person, which shows through the pace that she speaks. She would stammer and stutter a lot when trying to get acquainted with someone for the first time (bless that -1 Charisma). She would rush straight to the point when she's angry that somebody hurt her lovers. Her voice would become scratchy when she's on the verge of breaking down as if she's trying to absorb all of that to herself.

Maya is a very playful, mischievous and a 'people' person. Prankster. It definitely makes up for where Dina lacks. I imagine she has the similar regional accent to Dina, but she sounds like your 'tough love bro' if that makes any sense. She does have that conversational wits so pickup lines--both terrible and good--are up in her arsenal. Cracking jokes left and right. Girl got humor for days. That being said, she sounds honest and down-to-earth with people she loves.

Gadrielle would sound like how an opera singer sounds when they talk in normal conversation. She is extremely charismatic. She sure knows when to lighten and when to emphasize. She for sure has a way with words. She picks and chooses her words carefully. She seems to be very calmed most of the time. Except for Maya who is married to Gad, I don't think we've ever seen Gadrielle say something she didn't mean or let slip of her anger in her words. There was this one very subtle occasion when talking about her wife Maya having the rights to beat the shit out of someone who manipulated her, but the words technically aren't that violent (it was more of her attitude in that case).
