"OF ROMANCE, RELIGION, TENNIS & TIME." a poem 11/29/2019 (Friday)
A "set" for a "game," and a day for a year;
A comfortable PATTERN might be: a girl and a beer.
A pathway to Heaven basedOn some sta te gy;
Is a typical pattern I often will see.
Patterns are comfy, and WeLikesIT that way;
Why "mix it up," whenYouCan BeComfortable all day;
A time saving device? like a meal shake? or The Mass?
Nutrition. Salvation. or a comely, willing lass.
Alas (pause) though such patterns of "confident strain,"
Seem Mundane? andUncertain? Or ineffectual,
CAN THE RAIN,
OF SOME CHANGE perhapsSuggest: "Change is good?"
Is it THEN? OK to play a set, not just a game and escape comfort,
IF WE COULD?
But, when patterns for comfort areHELD forTooLong,
You only can sing The Same LifeTime Song,
And, IF Jesus appeared, you would miss him UNLESS,
YouCouldSomeHowUse new eyes to uncover The Mess,
Of The Sameness, the monotony, that control every age?
Of life on This Planet. Shall we? PERHAPS? turn a page?
Shall we try something different? just to just realize,
That Heaven is HERE, soYouNeed NOT traumatize,
Yourself with a (Heaven forbid) SET or even A MATCH IF you play,
Relaxed, withoutConcernOFwinning, then you might cruise through the day,
And NOT BE ADDICTED to a certain, patterned routine,
Occasionally switching the beer for new wine that I've seen,
And, with fresh eyes and views, the next girl you might see,
Is a Sheela from Australia who'll play tennis with me.

Just Some Scattered Thoughts - This Time on Economics & Immigration
( I'm no economist, that is - not steeped in the bulmalarkey, but took economics imainly Keynesian Economics, and with one good teacher = one good foundation, and with subsequent reading and classes, accompanied by a few philosophical works on economics, etc. "Not steeped in malarkey but very knowledgeable of the basic foundations" ... etc.) The basics of the economics are very sound.
.
Warning: REDUNDANCIES INCORPORATED SCHEME.
'" Overheated economy"? Now were supposed to worry about that ... ?' : No, don't worry ... But now, of course, some will hire or, or and, will raise wages ... thus raising the demand for workers, as old workers are attracted out of less lucrative situations into new ones, thus raising wages ... and in the end, with a shallow and expensive labor pool, likely some, or many will resort to automation to ease such complications. (Though there's a lag time involved with automation.) With low employment, at 4℅, say real 7℅, or maybe 11℅ (depending on how they cook the books) ... 7℅ (averaged) is considered in economics as full employment, for, realistically, there is no 0℅ employment, some are not employable, and there must be a pool, etc. We have a very limited reserve of workers at the current rates (4, 7 or 11 ) - if a boom is in store. This makes it not a good time to obsess with limiting immigration, as we don't have a sufficient supply of workers as it is, for all this, most likely ... this is of course without considering any large-scale infrastructure being enacted. (Which we need, as a qualty of life and personal safety matter, as well as an economically detrimental one, if neglected.) (And, come to think of it, Mexico is actually the easiest and most ready supply of backup labor, BTW.) There likely will be many ill effects for people on down-line. (And with the in-house political philosophy based more and more on economics ... not people's lives ... overall quality of life diminishes.) Etc.
Digression: The things the haves will have to deal with is also lower quality of life ... as more people are suffering, there won't be a rising tide of fellow-feeling, or that joie-de-vivre, etcetera, (as those experiencing the benefits will still be sharing their environment with the not-haves), in the background of their lives, either - what human life is really all about, doing it together ...
Digression Aside: #MoneyFall - So, before you rushing off to give up your votes ... remember, "this is like the oldest trick in the book of politics." Giving money away to get votes and gain support. Also remember voters, they are still steadily stripping away at all our protections whenever they are getting the chance. And remember similarly, that the incomplete portion of the middle-class element that are recieving tax breaks will be having them go away after 3 election cycles, while the totalized corporate tax breaks are to be permanent. And it is extremely difficult, politically, to raise taxes once they are cut, so, very hard to change back.
Math: Now Perhaps Many Desire to Hire, Raise Wages to Hire Wokers (Competition for Workers), Others Raise Wages, Others Hire workers, Some Lose Workers, Raise Wages, Hire Workers, All Workers Hired, Run Out of Workers ... Investment in Automation, Automation Improves, Then Accellerates - Lowered Costs, Better Algorithms, Lower Production Times of Automation, Lowering Technology Costs ... ( And robots and AI systems do not spend and do not pay taxes, so government is gradually de-funded. ) Gradually, then quickly, with higher wages and automation easily available, less workers hired ... Gradually tax break benefits absorbed into calculus ... Gradually, then quickly, less corporate income allotted to higher wages, less for workers, less need for workers, less worker income, less spending, lower tax incoming, higher cuts in services outlayed ... (And remember, it is very difficult, politically, to raise taxes.) So misery index would likely be expected to increase ... healthcare gaps increasing as well due to mandatory cuts, as population ages, and with the quantity of incomes decreasing ... (except for those who have gotten much fatter ) , etc.
Digression II: ... and fewer able to afford the procurement of the technologically advanced items they long for. In the pursuit thereof, more moral integrity will likely increasingly be discardeded to obtain/ maintain income streams, those that are able to find such income streams and to keep them... (For such > are increasingly informed by purely economically and materialistically based pursuits ...) And so on ...
Somewhat End Note: "Mexico is actually the easiest and most ready supply") Our nat'l philosophy is become based more and more on economics ... not people's lives ... with the result that overall quality of life diminishes. The things the haves will have to deal with equtes also with a lower quality of life ... as more people are suffering ... (as those experiencing the benefits will still be sharing their environment with the have nots), This really matters, for this is what human life is really all about, and what you really want in your life above all. Its like #TheGoldenRule is a formula for an optimized system, folks. Anything less is lacking ... "Becauase that's what makes everything feel good" over all.
Just Some Thoughts
This is simply a presentation of one of a few of the worst case scenarios, for your consideration, and AS A BALANCE to what are perhaps overly glowing media accounts of the benefits of the "tax reform". If things should come to this, OSLT, at least you will have had the chance to consider, and maybe plan and and prepare rather than do such a thing as ask, "What happened?" ... and etc....
It is at least not steeped in the bul-malarkey of Current Economic Theory but .... ("But I took economics classes in college, mainly based on Keynesian Economics, and, one good teacher = one good foundation, and subsequent readings ...") ... actually there seems to be no authority on economic theory and practice these days, so this may be as good a (scattershot) viewpoint as any ... it is merely for your consideration.
This is only one of among the potential worst case scenarios, something posited, but if things were to come to this, OSLT, at least you will have had the chance to consider such and how to plan and prepare for such possibilities, rather than turning around at some future point and asking, "what happened?" And ... etc.
Math: Now Perhaps Many Desire to Hire, Raise Wages to Hire Wokers (Competition for Workers) Others Raise Wages, Others Hire workers, Some Lose Workers, Raise Wages, Hire Workers, All Workers Hired, Run Out of Workers ... Investment in Automation, Automation Improves, Then Accellerates - Lowered Costs, Better Algoeithms, Lower Production Times of Automation Technology Lowering Costs ... ( And robots and AI systems do not spend and do not pay taxes, so government is gradually de-funded. ) Gradually, then quickly, less workers hired ... Gradually tax break benefits absorbed into calculus ... gradually, then quickly, less need for workers, less income, less spending, lower tax incoming, higher cuts outlayed ... (And its very difficult, politically, to raise taxes, so more misery should be expected to increase ... except for those who have gotten much fatter ... lower QoL for all ... and fewer able to afford all that technological advance they long for, thus lowered moral integrity will increasingly be required to obtain/ maintain income streams for those that are able to find work to keep it...) For our efforts> are increasingly based on economically and materialistically based pursuits...
This is one of the worst case scenarios, but if it should come to this, OSLT, at least you will have had the chance to plan for such.

And, folks, NO ONE, "has more money than" THE CREATOR ...
That's just being entirely simple-minded.
(An impoverished view. Here: Indescibable / Chris Tomlin - An example of a not-so-impoverished view. We are getting a lot of help in developing an impoverished view these days, a lot ... of the converse, it is not so much, people. We are getting not much help in that department at all, you'll have to help yourself. Try it, its fairly difficult. I think it is. And in trying to understand why ... I find a lot of answers. Etcetera. I find its difficult by the way we being trained. Why counter-training needs always to be in development by your self. And etcetera.)
He doesn't need money, he owns all things. He owns everything but your will, pretty much, and that's actually what its all pretty much about - in this phase of extistence - you recognizing your need to align your will with His, for His ways are MUCH higher than your ways and His aims are much higher than yours. And He made it all. And Etcetera. And I know its hard and getting harder, but that doesn't change the fact or the verity of such. And such, and so on..and,.its ALL related.
