MOAR Wangxian Rec Sources!
~*~
Hi, I’ve made 13 Wangxian collections on Archive of Our Own, based on special themes/tags. Feel free to use them for your own search/library activities. I love your blog, keep up the good work 💪~ @hhtopblog
~*~
Oh, thank you so much for telling us about your curated collections, my dear;  this is so useful.  I notice that they’re Open... does that mean others can make suggestions or add their own bookmarks?  (It’s absolutely fine if not, I’m just clarifying).
Here are the 13 collections, for y’all’s reading pleasure! These are Bookmark collections, rather than Works collections, so be sure to go hunting under the right tab! How wonderfully organized!
📖
⚫The Untamed Alcohol Effect -- "A drunk man’s words are a sober man’s thoughts" or: the alcohol effect in MDZS/The Untamed.
⚫The Untamed Brothers and Beasts -- Enchanting Wangxian fics where Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian are bonded as rabbits, wolves, foxes, dragons, demons or other magic creatures
⚫The Untamed Epistolary Edition -- Fics about Wangxian getting together in series of letters, e-mails, social media, vlogs, online games
⚫The Untamed Great Pretenders -- A collection of Wangxian falling-in-love-fics while faking their identity, relationship or marriage
⚫The Untamed Green-Eyed Kunze -- This collection is about jealousy, mostly Lan Zhan's. His critique on Wei Ying is secretly meant as a warning for himself. “Shameless”, because he loves Wei Ying more than the rules. "Ridiculous", because Wei Ying doesn’t love him, he only likes to tease. “Boring”, because he just knows Wei Ying will leave him one day for a more interesting person, right?
⚫The Untamed Kinsey Reports -- The ultimate Untamed collection on 'Sexual Behavior of the Human Male' as mentioned in The Kinsey Reports (1948): masturbation, pre-adolescent orgasm, biting, seven grades of sexual orientation, marital coitus, sadomasochism.
⚫The Untamed Love Has No Ending -- Real love has no ending. The best Wangxian fics about mutual pining, grief, getting together or getting back together.
⚫The Untamed Love Thy Neighbor -- A fine collection of Wangxian AU fics where Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian fall in love as they share a room, building, campus, office, or whatever.
⚫The Untamed Medics Portal -- Wangxian Sick-Fics where Wei Wuxian or Lan Wangji are either patient or doctor waiting for their soul mate.
⚫The Untamed Rules of Seduction -- Great fics about mutual attraction between Lan Zhan and Wei Ying; their strategy to seduce each other, unconsciously or intentionally.
⚫The Untamed Sporty Boys -- Modern Wangxian fics where The Untamed cast gather at sport clubs, events, or the local cultivators gym.
⚫The Untamed Time Travel Edition -- Enjoy Wangxian fics where Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian meet each other in different eras, universes, like themselves, aliens, androids or otherwise, to reach that same happy ending.
⚫The Untamed Wangxian Retellings -- The lovestory of Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian retold in the format of other well-known novels, movies, tv series, fairytales or legends.

WIP Questionnaire
Tagged by @winglesswriter here!
Gently tagging: @bee-barnes-author @mysticstarlightduck @mister-writes @pandoras-comment-box @ahordeofwasps @theprissythumbelina and an open tag. Blank questions below the cut!
For the Guardians of Eternity Series:
1. What is the first part of your WIP that you created?
The initial idea was about a magical bear of some sort that would appear and guide people to a magic forest. The story grew from that one idea.
2. If your story was a TV show, what would the theme song/intro be?
Instrumental, for sure. I really like Bear McCreary (Outlander, Godzilla, Rings of Power, etc.) and Lorne Balfe (His Dark Materials, Wheel of Time), so I’d be happy with any composer with similar vibes.
3. What are your favorite characters that you made? Why?
My creatures! My cute little guys 💜 I love them so much. But I love each of my MC’s equally—it’s impossible for me to choose. I’d say I have the most fun with Adrin, but my best writing is with Hettie.
4. What other pieces of media do you think your fan base would share?
If you like anything character-driven with found family, magical creatures and fantasy worlds where nothing is ever what it seems, you’ll vibe with me. I’ve taken inspiration from a lot of my fave shows/books, so there’s something for everyone.
5. What has been your biggest struggle with your WIP?
Everything. Tomb of Light is the first novel I have ever attempted to write, and the first time I’ve written fantasy. It’s hard to know when to let loose and when to pull back—which is how I’ve learned that I am an underwriter. Big time.
6. Are there any animals in your story? Talk about them!
Creatures!!! Hell yeah! I made a post here about them.
7. How do your characters get around? (Ex. Trains, horses, cars, dragons, etc.)
By foot or by horse (except Adrin, who is afraid of horses. He walks everywhere. Like a fool.)
8. What part of your WIP are you working on right now?
I have started outlining and writing the sequel to ToL, The Forest’s Embrace! In addition, I am also working on ToL’s first round of edits (which is very hard without alpha readers).
9. What aspects (tropes, maybe) of your WIP do you think will draw people in?
I have a hero to antagonist arc that is essentially an exploration of grief following trauma and a toxic relationship. That is what I think will help my story stand out from other fantasy stories—the magic is really just an instrument that helps the characters heal. (That is the most boiled down explanation I can give.)
10. What are your hopes for your WIP?
I would love to query ToL by 2025 and have it published within the next few years. For right now, I just want more people to connect with the story and see it for what it can be one day.
1. What is the first part of your WIP that you created?

thank you to THESE people who have supplied me with ideas (@wodimewoahtime and @the-one-that-weeps you guys are great)
SO. SOME BIG CHANGES.
will be having a "theme" for each group to make things easier on myself because coming up with an individual theme for everyone is a nightmare. These are just some ideas, and I have more ideas than others for certain groups
WxS: Myths and mystical creatures, card deck, or a marching band.
I'm iffy on the card deck idea because well. World Link. All aces. I don't wanna just steal everything from canon. But if I go through with it... Tsukasa is the joker, Rui is the king, Nene is the queen, and Emu is the Jack (I think that's what it is).
For myths and legends tsukasa would be either a pegasus or a phoenix or even a dragon, Nene would be a mermaid, Emu would be a fairy, and rui would be a wizard/alchemist.
For marching band, Emu would play the tube or trumpet, Nene would play the flute, and rui and tsukasa are the conductor and the drum player I'm not sure which one goes where. This idea is the most cohesive but idk what powers I would give them other than. Music. This idea would actually be based off of the Let Your Song Resonate Throughout the SEKAI event rather than their own event cards.
N:25: Tarot cards. Tarot cards. Tarot cards. Lower save me.
Mizuki is obviously The Reverse Hermit and Kanade is The Reversed Hanged Man, but Mafuyu and Ena are the ones i have to do on my own.
For Mafuyu I'm thinking either Reversed Empress or Reversed Hierophant. Honestly both of them could be incorporated because they represent her during different stages of her development. Maybe if there ends up being like. An evolution of ones costumes. She could look more like the Reversed Empress at the beginning and then end up looking more like Reversed Hierophant at the end. just an idea
I'm looking at Reversed Chariot or Reversed Strength Ena. BUT I'm not 100% sure these represent her character well, so if anyone has anything to say about my choice here then go for it.
MMJ: Tokyo Mew M- I mean animal magical girls. Haruka could be a penguin, shizuku a dove, airi a cat, and maybe squirrel Minori? I need help with Minori. Maybe lamb Minori. Idc that lambs are associated with kohane she's a hamster that's the end of it. Also this is def gonna take from both their DREAM PLACE and Ai No Material outfits.
ANOTHER IDEA!!! their theme could be "gemstones" and they could take from their jewelery box set. Minori is sunstone, Haruka is aquamarine, Shizuku is jade, and Airi is spinel. These gems are all just from the project sekai Jewelery Box card game I think it is?
VBS: Okay so this one is most likely gonna be the most diverse out of all of them. Their theme is seasons. Kohane is spring (because spring baby), An is summer (she just gives off those vibes + her fiery spirit, Akito is fall because of the fact that his name normally gets mistaken for "fall" (look it up its on the wiki) and toya is winter (because mirai).
Akito is going to be based on his Kashika card (I think I can do something with the red strings) An is going to be based on her Machi card, Kohane is going to be based off of her Flyer Card (ty hoc) and her Beat Eater card (big ol hammer), and toya will be based off of his mirai and maybe Valentine's Day cards. Maybe. All of them are most likely going to take elements from blender.
L/N: Times of day. Was originally going to do this with VBS, but I moved it to Leoni.
I'm not too sure about the order but for now I will say that honami is morning, saki is midday, shiho is evening, and ichika is night.
All of them are going to be taking elements from the From Tokyo set, saki especially. Honami is going also use elements from her fea card (if I find a way to incorporate it), Shiho will take from her Draw Your Bow card (idk I like the outfit) and ichika I'm undecided on but she'll either take from her Stage of SEKAI card or her Made To Order card..
That's it

Va-mos! Poder Cosmix Reluciente energía Es el poder (el poder) de Cosmix, sí! Y se alzará Contra la oscuridad Brillara yá Es la Luz Cosmix, sí!
AS OF THIS WRITING IT’S BEEN 1007 DAYS SINCE DISCOVERY KIDS WAS SUPPOSED TO AIR THE LATIN SPANISH DUB OF SEASON 8 AND BELIEVE ME I AM STILL AS FUCKING PISSED AS I WAS ON THE FIRST 500 DAYS. WHERE IS S8 DISCOVERY KIDS WE KNOW IT’S FULLY DUBBED, THIS IS NOT THE TIME TO MAKE LOST MEDIA.
My third world problems aside, Cosmix’s re-redesign! I sadly axed the relation to celestial objects with this version, but I’m more content with making them all more generally space-themed. Everyone has a different star they’re associated with with different amount of points! More design details below because this is a lore post and a half tbh:
The wings this time are based on, of all things, the canon Winx Travelix wings, which appeared on the show in S6, as part of the Zenith shepard check outfits. They have the same vibe as the Cosmix wings except actually individualized, and so they felt perfect for this batch even if I mixed up Flora’s and Aisha’s but details. Stella obviously has the eye aura since it’s tailor made for her everything, but Diaspro has a partial eye aura since her way of forming gemstones involves usage of light magic.
For this new version, everyone is associated with a color of the rainbow, per my own earning of Cosmix (Dorana was delighted they were 7 so she could just go straight to the point lmao), based on the river each of the girls drew from. They also all have the astronomical symbols for their realms on their chest! Earth would go insane trying to think of why the fuck realms within the same planet have different astronomical signs, but it’s one of those things that made sense to the Naerys system to further differentiate their sections of the world from each other.
Scintil has a stylized laurel wreath holding a spark, as it was implemented back when they thought the Dragon Aura was “the Dragon’s Flame”, a divine gift of extra powers and not a benign magical condition. (Bloom was sure she was gonna have Earth’s symbol as she still considers it her primary home, and is a bit conflicted on what it might mean for her to bear Scintil’s mark.)
Linphea and Dolona used to share a symbol as Primaveria, a stylized Rose of the Willow with six petals, but after the civil war and the split they each have a 3-petal flower.
Quarzis’s is pretty straightforward, the Jewel of Dawn (a national treasure and ancient magic artifact) being hold aloft by the hands of the first Queen.
Zenith’s mark, while at first glance looks like circuitry, is actually meant to evoke the Aurora Prismatia, a weather phenomena incredibly important to their culture.
Like with Linphea and Dolona’s, Andros’s mark was originally shared with Mareia (and Salett) as the ancient kingdom of Okeane, the shore between the land and the sea. Nowadays Andros’s symbol is the land and the shore, while Mareia’s the shore and the sea.
Melodeus’s is the Giant Diapason, a gigantic sculpture of antiquity that much like Zenith’s Aurora Prismatia is a big part of Melodean culture.
Finally, Solaria’s the most straightforward - the moons and the sun, perfectly aligned.

For the honest answer ask game: what's the history of your blog? (this really just includes how/when you began blogging on tumblr, content, your interactions and your special moments on here etc; whatever you wish to prioritize for the ask in context).
honest hour question answered 3 days later <3 truly hope the wait was worth it love hahah
as someone who's gone through my archive already, you know i started out as a bts fan account in 2015. (my previous blog is not gonna be discussed for the simple reason that it's barely relevant to this one)
i believe i used to tag and organise my reblogs? there was a time where i cared enough and i loved srolling through my own blog, i stopped enjoying that when i became more involved w/ fandom on here and things weren't aesthetics based anymore. i don't like going through it that much now. i used to play around with themes, search for them, tweak colours and fonts for hours. after i returned years later there was an issue with the editor so now i can't change my theme at all and it sucks cause i just want to edit a few things.
so it started of as a bts fanblog, then i started rb-ing other kpop stuff, maybe afterwards i started sharing gifsets from movies and series i liked? as for fandom, i had a good amount of mutuals - accidentally became one with a girl from my country, we went out once and it was very nice <3 procrastinated and lost track fo tag games back then too lmaoo i felt a lot of dissatisfaction over it so i try to do everything now with my current fandom :)
back then is when i started reading fanfiction - i believe my first imagine was a taegi one where v was an artist and yoongi a photographer lol i stumbled upon it on the dash randomly and i got introduced to ao3 a bit after
iirc for the following years after i'd stopped stanning bts, i used to come back either relatively often or once in a blue moon - in the beginning i was just enjoying wtv my dash was offering me or seeking out specific stuff, then i started using it as a tracklist of what shows i've watched haha, no tags, just rb after finishing a show.
i started engaging with fandom around the release of episode 5 of kinnporsche, i read a bunch of posts on here, then tms2 came around and i got even more into reading people's takes..at some point i started talking to people i guess hahah i don't even know when i started trying to put out content, so to say, i just know i was doing screenshot posts short before i found myself pushed to attempt gifs and that was after big dragon had just finished airing.
then i started my giffing journey. had support from @gillianthecat whom i loved giffing paulnice for. honestly that and the discussions we had were such an important part of me having fun with this site and keeping it up. and @joyladagang, my self-proclaimed #1 hype woman, made me feel super welcome. then i got even more moots, at some point i started reaching out or actively reciprocating others attempts at getting closer (though i had been active in discussions before that, i just mean i got a bit braver and started acting more familiar with everyone (esp w/ ppl i got closer to through @joyladagang like @cankersoregirl, @feralmuskyscentedhoepran, @loserlesbianongsa etc.)
i'm grateful to a lot of people on here, truly. it's not supposed to be a shoutout post so i won't be tagging any more people (esp since i would have to tag everyone who follows me plus a bunch of people i follow which..it's a bit much) but i'm genuinely thankful for each person that enjoys my rants, gifs, theories or wtv the things i post classify as, whether they found a post by accident or follow the blog. and i'm grateful to the creators i follow, and i'm happy to talk to so many sweet, smart and funny individuals on various topics daily.
so this is where my blog is at right now - trying to do a bit of everything and talking a bit with everyone. my issue, tbh, is i'm trying a bit too hard to satisfy everyone which sounds ridiculous but i am a bit of a people pleaser at times so it checks out lol

2023 Advent: Day 18
So, for those who don't know, I watch a lot of book related content on youtube and at the end of November I was watching someone's TBR (to be read) game she was playing to pick what she'd read next. Partway through her game she asked her partner to help her and ya'll it was highkey giving some daddy dom vibes. So of course I had to write a blurb about it.
Big thanks to Lauren for helping me decide on Jack for this one.
Warnings: daddy kink, dom!Jack, sub!Reader, onlyfans, thumb sucking (not in a baby way), a lil degradation/humiliation, nothing especially explicit but references to bondage/sex toys/kink exploration/sex tapes/spanking/general kink stuff.
When you’d started making video content about books and what you were reading, you’d not expected it to end up the way it had. On OnlyFans. You’d had Youtube in mind, inspired by the people you followed there who reviewed new releases and the like. But Youtube had been harder to crack into than you’d expected and you had to be careful with how you spoke about certain topics or else your videos would be removed. Not ideal when spicy romance novels were your thing. In fact, it was after a video you’d made comparing language in a few different romance novels had been taken down, you facetiously told your boyfriend, Jack, you’d be better off posting on OnlyFans and then somehow it had stopped being a joke and you’d actually done it. And, to your surprise, got yourself something of a following.
Your account had evolved a little since then. You still did the book reviews and chatted about what you were reading and upcoming releases that interested you. But you’d branched out a bit too. Now you also got your kit off. There were a handful of video demonstrations of literature themed sex toys like dragon dildos (perhaps a stretch to call literary) and the 50 Shades of Grey branded bondage equipment. You’d read books out loud whilst sitting on vibrators, modelled lingerie based on fictional characters, and discussed not only erotica fiction but also nonfiction about sexuality and kink. The overall theme of your content was smart is sexy and to emphasise it you always tried to dress the part, even when you were just talking to the camera, in an exaggeratedly sexy school uniform – microskirt, knee high socks, pigtails. Your dream was to be able to film something in an actual library or bookstore.
Jack helped out and encouraged you. Mostly he stayed behind the scenes, helping with filming and lighting and even editing sometimes. But he also came in handy when you were making the more typically OnlyFans type content. There were videos where you recreated sex scenes from books, testing if the positions described were as easy to achieve as the novels would have you believe, and recently, you’d begun a weekly series going through The Art of Sex chapter by chapter. You’d give a brief run down on whatever position or kink the chapter of the week explored and then perform the act with Jack’s help. You weren’t quite sure what you were going to do when you reached the chapter on swinging but you were sure Jack would have an idea or two. Perhaps a role playing scene.
One of your first series and one of your most innocent was your monthly TBR game. It was a concept taken straight from youtube. At the end of each month you posted a video where you’d draw out random prompts from a jar to help decide what books you’d read the next month. You filmed it sitting on the floor with a pastel pink cart full of books beside you, though of course wearing the sexy schoolgirl outfit. You opened the video discussing the books you’d read from the last TBR list. For every book you didn’t read, you earned five spanks which Jack was only too happy to give you. He hovered behind the camera waiting for his moment. Typically after that he wouldn’t appear in the video again. But, every so often, you needed his help.
This time the prompt was too broad, and you were overwhelmed by choices. You sat there staring at your cart for much longer than you usually would, unsure what book to officially pick. It didn’t help that it was the first prompt of the video. You couldn’t even begin to guess what other prompts you might draw or which titles you might pick later. Jack normally only got to choose your books when the “Daddy’s pick” prompt was drawn but you decided this was a special occasion.  “Daddy,” you said, pushing yourself to your knees and looking at Jack who was standing to the side.  He adjusted the camera subtly to keep you framed nicely, “Do you need something darlin’?”  There was something about how he interacted with you during filming that made you switch into submissive mode. His tone of voice was so authoritative, and he was always fully dressed whilst you were so exposed and on the floor looking up at him. It made you go all little girly. “Which should I choose Daddy?”  Jack hummed and, to your surprise, stepped in front of the camera as he walked towards you. It made you tilt your head back further to see him and he took advantage of your position, stroking your cheek gently before laying his thumb against your lips.   It was second nature to draw it between your lips and suck as Jack hummed in thought.  “Pretty ironic that you tell everyone smart is sexy when you go completely stupid when you’re horny. Bet if I touched you now you’d be all wet from thinking about all these filthy books you read.” Jack examined the three books you’d pulled off your cart, his thumb still between your lips. Finally he tapped your cheek so you’d release him, bent over and picked up his choice. “I’ve decided to be nice and pick this one for you because I know it’ll be useful for a video you’re planning.”  You clapped excitedly, “I’d totally forgotten that Daddy, thank you!”  Jack chuckled, “Anytime darlin’,” He bent over to give you a small kiss before striding back behind the camera, “No go ahead and finish your game.”

Here’s the journey of Nydia elf traveling around the world of the kingdom.
Once again based on Spooky Month Fantasy AU by @666melvin666
Enjoy it ✨ nwn
🩵✨💙✨🩵✨💙✨🩵✨💙✨🩵✨💙✨🩵
It was a quiet day in a forest where an elf came. She was a noble, kind, beautiful young woman and she is also magical moon and healer who has traveled around each one of the kingdom that she visited to give crystals and objects to the villagers.
Nydia reveled around as she traveled leaving her Lagani village where she lived with her friend Lila who were close as sisters, she headed straight to Aragnoc village where her wolf spirit indicated a mysterious foreboding.
Suddenly she heard something coming close and turned around looking out to see that it was coming, they were two hunters on horses who were in search of the dragon that had destroyed the village.
They approached her to ask her.
"Excuse me elf, what are you doing here in the forest alone?"
"I am traveling directly to the Aragnoc village where I will arrive" Nydia answers.
“Aragnoc? Eh… it's not far there and besides it's cold in the snow” the hunter says.
“Oh don't worry, I've got everything ready to be warm” says Nydia.
"Hehe well, changed the theme ... by the way have you seen a dragon around here?" He asks her.
"No, I haven't seen any dragon around, why?" She curious about the question.
"There has been an attack on the destroyed village caused by a dragon" she replies.
"Oh god..." she amazed "all the villagers?" she asks again.
"Shattered all made of smoky air, the pungent aroma of burning wood filled the atmosphere, so they asked us on a search to capture him for what he's done," he replies.
"Oh wow, what a horror... I really appreciate the information and I hope all the villagers are well, continue your search..." the hunters thank her and leave.
She continues her journey although when she found out about the destroyed village, she thought about who the dragon would be and why he do this?…, but she is not interested at the moment, suddenly her messenger owl arrives and brings a message from Lila about how her trip is going and also how he missed her a lot, she replied about her trip that everything was going well although they also missed them and said that she would return home soon when she finished her mission, already handing over her messenger owl to give her the message Lila and so they continue their journey until they reach Aragnoc.

Pairings: Bo-Katan Kryze/The Armorer, Bo-Katan Kryze & Din Djarin, minor Din Djarin/Cobb Vanth/Boba Fett, Bo-Katan Kryze & Grogu, Din Djarin & Grogu Characters: Bo-Katan Kryze, The Armorer, Din Djarin, Grogu, Cobb Vanth, Boba Fett Warnings: s/h scar mention, scars, past violence, past abusive relationships, Pre Vizsla mention, Moff Gideon mention Notes:idk it’s the way I absolutely live for these tattoo au’s where The Armorer fixes Bo’s Death Watch Tattoos and turns the designs into something beautiful, also, kind of based around my own tattoo situation? Very loosely Summary: “Have you ever thought about getting that tattoo covered?” Din questioned as they sat on the dock, her boots just brushing the surface of the lake. “I used to think about it,” Her eyes trailed down to the inky scar tissue across her forearm, the shriek hawk that had been shoved into her skin as a teenager, ink bleeding out to practically give the long white and purple scars a dark backdrop as they wrapped around her arm. “Too much work, I guess. And it’s part of who I am.” “If you’re ashamed of it, why carry around the guilt?” “I’ve done a lot of things, Din Djarin. Sometimes it’s the reminders of who I was, and who I am, that help me get up in the morning,” He seemed to ponder this a minute, as he tossed a crumb from his sandwich into the water, a fish breaching the surface to swallow it. “What if you have it turned into something new?” He suggested as he brought his boot to scrape the rotting edge of the dock. “I guess I haven’t met the right artist in a long time, it would be hard.” Pre was the only one she’d let touch her skin with the tattoo gun, she’d avoided all kinds of artists who’d talked about fixing the work or blown out ink for years. That kind of trust was hard to come by these days, especially for her. “If you ever change your mind, my mom’s good,” “Yeah? Maybe I’ll check her out,” AO3 Link: Here!
Loneliness was not a new concept for Bo-Katan Kryze, it was just another long line in the list of consequences for the actions of her youth. Except, through the darkness, there had been a light. Din Djarin, a younger man, a good dad, and a pillar of support that Bo had wanted nothing more than to leave her alone. Still, every day she spent in her isolation, he would visit, he would even bring his young son, Grogu, and as much as she didn’t want to admit it, she loved the kid, and he had been absolutely obsessed with her.
Each day, the clan of two would show up at her door and take her with them on some wild adventure. The amusement park had been genuinely fun, and she’d gotten a lot of pictures, and when they’d left that night, she couldn’t deny that going through them had brought a smile to her face.
When Din had introduced his partners, she’d been a little more on edge. She hadn’t exactly been the best to the Fett kid, but even with their rocky past, he still saw past it, had been polite, and had welcomed her into their game night. How Cobb managed to turn Dungeons and Dragons into a cowboy themed role-play game was lost on her, but it had been fun nonetheless.
It was just Din that day, when he’d showed up and asked her to go to the lake with him. He’d seemed contemplative, far in his own head, and she’d felt that herself, hadn’t wanted him to lean into the isolation like she had, so they’d went on their way.
The docks were old, the city abandoning the property it was on when they figured the wastewater drained into the body of water anyways. It hardly counted as a real lake anyways, and they hadn’t been able to stop the dumping, so it had been left alone and marked an overflow reservoir. No one really ventured out that way due to the decomposing conditions, which made it a perfect place for the two Mandalorians, who found a stable piece of the dock to settle on.
Din hung his backpack on a rusty nail sticking from one of the wooden posts, which seemed in much better condition than the rest dock. “How’s Grogu?” Bo questioned as she dropped herself onto a seemingly dry plank that didn’t try to cave in with her weight pressing in on it.
“He’s doing good!” The younger Mandalorian always brightened up when he got to talk about his family, it was a good look on him, seeing him happy, especially with what she’d told him about his recent troubles with his adoptive family. “Cobb and Boba took him to the farm for a few days while things got sorted out,” His brightness slipped, arms crossing his chest as he looked out across the small lake, still standing, he let his boot kick a small rock on the dock.
The dock creaked as the rock tumbled, though he didn’t seem to notice. “I love them, I do, My mom, and Paz… It just doesn’t feel fair, that I try to do something right for Grogu, and-“ He never got to continue, when his weight shifted next, the rotting boards under his feet splintered and broke, and he was being swallowed by the dark, murky abyss of nasty lake water.
Before she could even fully process what had happened, Bo-Katan was already shoving herself off the dock, headfirst into the water that Din was thrashing for purchase in. The water was too dark to see in, and when she tried to open her eyes, the chemical waste stung. She had to focus on the movement of his thrashing to find him, and when his fist met her arm, she was able to grab a hold and start shoving him to the surface.
He hadn’t made it easy for her however, thrashing the entire way, inexperience in the water evident as he kicked his feet with no direction. They breached the surface and he managed to just barely keep himself afloat long enough for her to give a hard shove to his back. “Grab the dock!” She sputtered, directing him to the intact wood she’d been perched on moments before.
Swimming around him, Bo grabbed a hold of the old wood, hauling herself up and swinging her leg over until she could set her knees into damp wood, grab a hold of his forearms, and yank him up and over as well.
The lake went still, both of their ragged breaths filling the late afternoon air as they sprawled across the dock, absolutely drenched and dripping excess through the slats in the planks, back into the water. “I’m gonna smell like sulfur for weeks,” The damp redhead complained after minutes passed, her nose crinkling at the scent that wafted to her nose.
Every gust of wind had her shivering, despite the heat, so the redhead yanked her sopping wet shirt over her head. She trusted Din enough, at this point anyways. He was doing the same with his own shirt, trying to drape it over any available dry spot so the beating sun could work at least some magic on the clothing.
She had never told Din too much about her past with The Death Watch, had mentioned her involvement in passing, but he’d never seen the tattoos, or really, any of the ink or scar tissue that adorned her body. Neat lines of old scars decorated the insides of her forearms, making stripes in the different art that wrapped around her skin, the ink had never held up for very long, always bleeding out of the textured skin after a few years. Pre had offered to touch up her first piece, once, but then he’d died, and all thought of letting anyone near her with a tattoo gun went out the window.
She had the black shriekhawk inside her left arm with a patchwork of Nite owls and her family’s crest scattered across pale skin all the way to her shoulder, with blacked out tribal bands and thick geometric designs along her right. The paleness of her skin showcased light freckles across her shoulders and back, blue, green, and purple veins just barely visible around her wrists and neck. Scars were smattered randomly across the canvas of her back and torso, fingernail imprints on the side of her throat, a scratch mark across her shoulder blade, a burn on her hip, and other smaller pieces that she only barely remembered the stories of. The Shirek hawk was torn by lines of neat scar tissue, when the goal had been to try and erase the visage. The ink bed out, but the design was still unmistakable where it remained.
She was a walking storybook of her tale, of why people like Din Djarin had been warned to stay far away. She’d only given him glimpses to who she truly was, had revealed parts of her story in slow increments, to try and scare him off, a warning to the true woman he was trying to befriend.
Like her, however, Din also wore his story on his sleeve. His shoulder was decorated with designs of a mud horn fossil, and while he also adorned the mark of the shriek hawk, it had seemed more evolved, reborn, like the Children of the Watch had been. They did not use the design often in their teachings, but with the beasts’ role in the tales, she had understood why they’d felt the need to reclaim it. A winding view of the Mythosaur of Old stretched across his back, tusks wrapping around his sides to tickle his ribs. There were designs that had floated on the backwater cities, back when Separatists marched the streets, spreading filth.
He never talked much about how he was brought into their culture, and she didn’t ask. Just like, as dark eyes followed the trail of ink and scar, the roadmap of her own story, he did not ask. The two settled in against the dock, while he dug through his thankfully dry backpack to toss her a wrapped up sandwich.
“Have you ever thought about getting that tattoo covered?” Din questioned as they sat on the dock, her feet just brushing the surface of the lake.
And it’s part of who I am.”
“If you’re ashamed of it, why carry around the guilt?”
“I’ve done a lot of things, Din Djarin. Sometimes it’s the reminders of who I was, and who I am, that help me get up in the morning,”
He seemed to ponder this a minute, as he tossed a crumb from his sandwich into the water, a fish breaching the surface to swallow it. “What if you have it turned into something new?” He suggested as he brought his boot to scrape the rotting edge of the dock.
“I guess I haven’t met the right artist yet, it would be hard.” Pre was the only one she’d let touch her skin with the tattoo gun, she’d avoided all kinds of artists who’d talked about fixing the work or blown out ink for years. That kind of trust was hard to come by these days, especially for her.
“If you ever change your mind, my mom’s good,”
“Yeah? Maybe I’ll check her out,”
They spent hours at the dock, that night. Both of their phones were good and ruined from the water, so he’d never heard his partner calling him. Neither of them had a single thought about going on their way, drying off in the sun as they passed stories of what they’d been taught about their people, putting similar stories together to see the other side.
Headlights flashed as someone pulled into the empty parking lot nearby. Soon, the babbling of a child and two sets of adult footsteps filled the clearing, until Di’s partners, and his son were visible.
“Patu!” Grogu warbled, before his small legs had him running towards the two Mandalorians. It was not Din that he ran to, but Bo-Katan, who, with minor hesitance, picked him up at his insistence.
“Hey bud, did I keep your dad too busy?” She questioned as she balanced the small child on her hip, who seemed very interested in following the path of the scar that chased up her shoulder.
“Patu,” He nodded his head, as his face tried to form something akin to seriousness, though a crooked smile took over, before the boy was breaking out in laughter.
Bo handed Grogu over to Din, before she moved to grab her now, thankfully, dry clothes and tug them on.
“Went for a dip?” Cobb questioned as he moved to greet his partner.
“A little bit,” Din replied with a soft laugh and a shake of his head, shifting Grogu in his arms. “Bo, do you need a ride back?” He questioned, jabbing his thumb towards the lot.
“No, I’m good, let your mom know I might swing by soon, though? The Forge, right?”
“That’s the place,” They bid their farewells with the promise to see each other soon on the horizon, with Bo-Katan’s thoughts churning a hailstorm in her mind around the winding ink across her body.

What is your thinking process when naming your characters? I know some of them where problem just thought up on the spot but with the ones that aren't why did you give them those names?
A lot of them are based on feeling yeah. I have trouble really articulating the thought process besides "they look and feel like that to me".
Some of them like Tiera is a result of taking some name like Terra and wanting to make it sound fancier and not so on the nose.
"Poppin" probably came from "Pop'n" which is a nonsense phrase on some japanese stuff I liked the sound of.
"Jupa" was originally "Juli" (which was based on Jewel, cause waaaaay back then their original game idea was a banjo/spyro clone where they' collect jewels)... I think I went with Jupa cause it rolls off better with "Poppin and Jupa" by having more "pah", and then retroactively became short for "Jupiter" to fit with a certain naming theme for her....... *species*.
Species naming is another convention I like... I don't wanna overcommit but I like the cohesiveness it can give if I don't have anything else in mind to make them follow a similar theme.
Generally speaking, goats/ibbix in Poppin & Jupa have names based on minerals/rocks/materials. Quartz, Cliff, Salty.
Tumblr media
All bees have names based on swords/weapons/synonyms for attacks. Pierce, Trowel, Pin.
Tumblr media
All clock twerps have names made up of letters and numbers that can look like an actual name, such as 21NA = Tina, 53AN = Sean.
Tumblr media
That's not always the case across all members of a species, and not all species will have a theme. Like the ones in Tiera's setting have normal names, mainly cause they're meant to be more grounded. But I try to avoid having the same name or go for something more unique. Moriarty, Ash, Kent.
Tumblr media
Jack and Bob here have the most plain names you can get which fits for them being goons but also a reference to Batman '89 (Jack Napier, Bob The Number One Guy). But then their full names are Jackie Blinkford Ranciello and Robert Inkwell Mildew, and... man, it's hard to explain it but it aside from "fitting" for me, they're little gags that make sense in my head based on their intended roles. It's not really funny until I actually show it one day...
Tumblr media
Even Tiera got gussied up into her full name being Tiera Bethany Delacroix, and there's a whole lot of story stuff for that. Delacroix just sounds fancier and fitting of someone that comes from a family that was upper class and had some import; Delacroix translating to "of the Cross" which I think is fitting for someone that deals with ghosts. "Bethany" comes back as a little gag where she tries to come up with a stage name called "Betty Spaghetti" but also allows her intials to become TBD which is funny to me. And the Tiera/Terra thing I mentioned earlier, feels fitting for some of the ideas/central conflict later on in her story...
Tumblr media
It's a lot of stupid, overthought stuff like that.
When it comes to enemies I try to think of wacky puns.
Draconcrete = it's a concrete mixer that looks like a dragon.
Tumblr media
Duobroros = they're a duo, and they're brothers, and they're meant to be a boss that fights/bicker with each other that end up causing their own downfall, like an ouroboros.
Tumblr media
Dueldelle = She's a boss you fight, fights are often called duels. "-elle" sounds like a girl-name appendix, and "dueldelle" sounds closed to doodle, she's an artist.
Tumblr media
Foamidabubble = Foamy bubbles, and it sounds close to Formidable!
Tumblr media
I could go on a lot. When I'm lazy I tend to think about the sound or feeling they give me and go with that.

got in A Mood and decided to browse my edits tag
a few thoughts/observations/rambles:
i've had this specific blog since 2016 and i've been doing various screenshots, gifs, moodboards, etc since i made it almost exactly 7 years ago. i have 109 pages in my mine: edits tag: - 54 of those pages are from 2016-2021 and encompass about half a dozen or so fandoms. - the other 55 pages? run from july 2021 until now and are almost exclusively cyberpunk (and more specifically, almost exclusively valerie and/or goro). the amount of ~*content*~ i made over the course of 5 years for 6-10 fandoms is almost the exact same amount of ~*content*~ for one game in the span of about a year in a half? like damn. if that doesn't just perfectly capture the brainrot.
it was very heartwarming and enlightening looking at some of my OCs/ships that i consider more or less "retired" at this point, like my ryder and jaal or my inquisitor and cullen. it was nice looking through all those sets again and having some warm fuzzies and seeing how they influenced later OCs/ships but also being content to be like yeah, that's it. we had good times, but we moved on just like we needed to.
on the flipside, it was also interesting going through some of them and seeing the OCs/ships that I'd like to revisit at some point. or possibly rework into cyberpunk. i think i could see some themes i had wanted to explore with my sole survivor acting as a foundation to really develop valerie's mother, whomst i haven't talked much about here but i have a lot of thoughts on. (although audrey (sole) and ava (valerie's mother) are kind of the antithesis of each other in that audrey never wanted a kid and wanted to pursue a career but ended up living the opposite whereas ava wanted a kid and felt pushed into the corporate world BUT ANYWAY I DIGRESS)
it was also kind of cool for me to see how my screenshot/vp style developed over the years. i wasn't even familiar with the term "virtual photography" until cyberpunk--i just thought of it as fucking around with a flycam and taking screenshots. the 'photography' element didn't even really click with me. but i can see where some of the stuff i was doing 6-7 years ago, even with moodboards, definitely influenced how i approach vp in cyberpunk.
and number/performance-talk, because even if i make stuff for me, i still think it's interesting to take note of trends and whatnot: - i definitely experienced a pretty noticeable drop off in notes post-2018 and the great tiddy purge. that shit really hit hard, damn - i remember in past fandoms i often felt like stillshots didn't get nearly as much love as gifsets (especially gaming scenery gifsets), and based on my own stuff, that does seem to track. i think the two big exceptions for me there were mass effect andromeda and now cyberpunk. which are very pretty games with very pretty characters and compatible with decent cinematic tools so idk, maybe they just work better in that format than, like, muddy potato-y dragon age origins, lmao.
anywhoooooo i also filled my queue up with some old posts so get ready for some vintage wench content over the next few days uwu

Hi love! what are you and Leviathan doing for Valentines Day? 💜
-@levi4thans
Gray 😊💕 Thank you so much for asking!!! I hope you’re having a wonderful day.
Okay, so I’m too excited and at midnight I surprise Levi with Valentine’s Day gifts. I ask him to come to my room where I put everything out on display. I’m a gift giver (friends, family, etc) and probably go overboard. There’s balloons, sweets, plushies, and one of the games he wanted that came out recently. I want to spoil him and show him how much I love him, and he’s overwhelmed but happy even if it screams normie. He’s flustered, speechless even, and there’s a comfortable silence as we stand there holding each other.
He spends the night in my room playing the game I bought him on his handheld console, and I watch, while we cuddle in bed. We stay up late ❤️
We're huge nerds and have a TSL-themed Valentine's Day 🥺 I cosplay as Henry and Leviathan as the Lord of Shadow, of course; costumes made by Levi (maybe they're special variants or event only costumes to make the day even more special hehehe.) And we'll use any excuse to dress up, especially as our favorite characters!
While we're both nervous, we're excited and have been looking forward to spending the day together. Once we’re awake, we take some time apart to get ready. I will meet Levi at his room where I will kneel before him as he opens the door to present him a lovely bouquet of roses.
"For you, My Lord." 🥰
He gifts me flowers too. We’re both blushing as we admire them and each other.
We spend the first half of the day in the Devildom, stopping by a café for breakfast and coffee; maybe the café whose owner is a huge TSL fan or a character café Levi is interested in. Either way, we have a nice time because we’re together and the rest of the world melts away. There’s plenty of selfies to be taken; a few for Devilgram, but most for our eyes only and one to use as a wallpaper for our D.D.D.s.
It’s a special day, but we do a lot we would normally as well, like stop by Anidaemon and play some Mononoke Land along the way! Later in the afternoon we karaoke. Though it’s mainly Levi singing, me cheering him on, but we do a few duets, and then he works up the courage to serenade me despite being very embarrassed afterward lol; I make sure to give him a big hug and kiss to show my appreciation.
Before we head home we give chocolates we made the day before to his brothers, everyone at Purgatory Hall, and Diavolo and Barbatos!
Back at the House of Lamentation we hog the kitchen making a lovely dinner from the official TSL cookbook hehehe. We have a lot of fun cooking together. It’s a very lighthearted but intimate moment. His brothers take the time to tease us, especially Leviathan, and his face is bright red by the end of it; we have to make sure Beel doesn’t eat what we make while we’re not looking too.
It’s not fancy, but it’s all made with love!!! We just eat and hangout in Levi’s room having a TSL marathon. After dinner we exchange chocolates and Valentine’s Day cards we made for each other. Levi’s look better than mine, but he says the chocolate I gave him is the best he’s ever tasted. There’s a lot more hand holding, hugging, and cuddling. Shy glances and red faces. Soft kisses that make us smile and laugh.
There’s Demonus laced with Gold Hellfire Newt Syrup; it’s based off Dragon Fog from TSL so it’s a perfect addition to dinner, and it gives Levi a bit more courage. It’s then Levi admits he commissioned us special TSL themed jewelry that he was almost too shy to show me. It’s a lovely night ✨
Again, we stay up until the early hours of the morning watching anime and playing games or just cuddling in his tub enjoying each other’s company, happy to have one another in our lives. Just two dorks having a good time.
The next morning we sleep in and hide away in his room to recharge. We order Devil Donuts through Akuber and chill 😊❤️❤️❤️

About me!
My name is Caitlin! I love cats, and they're my writing buddies often. When I'm not writing, I'm curating one of dozens of playlists, making aesthetics for my WIPs, or playing a video game. Currently it's still Tears of the Kingdom because there's just so much to do!
More under the cut!
I've been writing since sometime in elementary school. I completed my first manuscript in high school (a YA magic school novel) and tried to query it. It did not go over well, largely because I didn't actually edit it! (But also because I was floundering with no idea what I was doing with subgenres, similar titles, if my opening pages were the issue, if the query was the issue, if the agent I queried actually repped that category and genre... etc.) (Do not be me.) I may one day return to it, but for now I'm content to let that one stay on the shelf.
I ended up burning myself up over the project unfortunately. After that, I was in college where most of my writing was fanfiction for one of five different fandoms. (Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasies 7 and 8, Dragon Age, and Undertale.) I did NaNo a couple of stories, but never actually made it as far as querying again until much later.
Tumblr media
Currently, my co-writer and I are revising an adult epic fantasy about marines on a mission, magical brainwashing, and a sorceress who walks the line between trying to stop the religious fanatics but also not painting a target on her back.
Tumblr media
I had been trying to revise that alongside my fantasy heist novel, but there's too many different plotlines (not to mention characters that are in both but 5 years removed from each other) to keep track of for that to work. I can do edits and draft at the same time, but I can't draft two things at the same time unless they're a different genre. Or heavily revise two things at the same time.
Tumblr media
I first dipped my toes into writing in elementary school. I would take composition notebooks lying around the house and fill them with stories. I vividly remember my first written story about two girls from a medieval time who got sent to the present day, but they kept trying to go back in time so they could save their mom. I've since lost that composition notebook, but if I ever wanted to rewrite that based on vibes alone I probably could.
My mom always supported me and wanted to read what I wrote. It was really easy to share stuff with her as a kid and a teenager who didn't feel particularly embarrassed about my work. Even as an adult, writing adult books with adult themes, I kind of just go "fuck it." She's an adult, who makes her own choices.
I've always been drawn to writing fantasy. I love the appeal of swords and magic (mostly magic.) I like writing epic motifs where the characters are up against seemingly impossible odds and are able to overcome. I like interweaving "real world" issues into fantasy too. Because queerness and disability is not something that only exists IRL.
I love writing characters who are bigger than themselves - people who find their magic spark; people who rise to the challenge; power so deep it's barely understandable but people try anyway; a pantheon of gods who doesn't know what they're doing and end up as characters in their own right. I love weaving in storylines, making connections, dropping in references. Etc.
Tumblr media
I am really good at dialogue. I love writing it and it shows. Exploring how characters interact with each other is honestly one of my favorite things to do and dialogue is one of the biggest extensions of that.
To be honest, sometimes, all I have is dialogue that I throw up on a page and have to fill it out with actions and descriptions later. Sometimes, it all comes at once. A lot of it depends on where I am when the dialogue strikes me. If I'm on a bike ride or in the shower, I'll get a back-and-forth dialogue in a vacuum that I have to flesh out. This can also happen when I'm on the computer, but usually, if the dialogue is coming to me while I'm already at my computer, it's also coming with actions.
As far as outlining and researching goes, I usually start drafting and then come up with an outline of where I want it to go or plot points I want to include. At one point, I did an entire zero draft for a YA contemporary, which contributed to me writing 80k in five weeks. Still not 100% sure how I manged that in the end. But, for the most part, I have an outline that I'm drafting from, then I get a shiny idea and work to include it, so I adjust my outline and begin writing again... and then this process repeats near-on indefinitely until the end of the book. So my project folders start looking like this:
Tumblr media
I'm one of those people though who, more often than not, will come up against a question I have while drafting, and be unable to continue until I've answered the question. I probably should get better about putting notes in brackets or footnotes and coming back to it, but at the same time, I don't think it's terribly detrimental to my process to take an evening off as a research evening. I've learned some pretty interesting stuff this way. (That said! I'm better about footnotes this current draft as me and my co-writer figure things out.)
One of the best things about writing is when I have readers telling me that they loved it. Or that they laughed. Or that they felt things. I might enjoy drinking readers' tears as they tell me I'm a terrible person for doing horrible things to their favorite character.
Writing scratches that creative itch. It makes me feel whole and complete. On the flip side, when I'm having trouble writing because of real life... I feel upset and anxious.
If I could manifest anything into the publishing world, it's a nine-book series out of this with spinoffs to expand the world indefinitely. (Why worldbuild more than once?) It might not be the most feasible thing ever, but I can dream.
If you've made it this far, have some writing advice. Which is basically... find what advice works for you and do that. Also, what works for you might not work in six months. Don't be afraid to change it up. If writing 2k words a day is super feasible because you cleared the whole month of November, great! But come December if you're feeling burnt out, it's okay to only write 100 words a day... or even take a break altogether and let your creative juices refill. If writing in the mornings works great in the summer but writing in the afternoons is better in the winter, do that! You, the writer, the creator, is more important than some arbitrary goal. (Unless you have a contracted deadline, in which case, may all the motivation be at your disposal!)

The way you draw is so bingus honestly I’m not sure how to describe it
It’s like you made the characters out of silly putty and then like squished them ever so slightly
It’s kind of like Ed Edd and Eddie, and Courage the Cowardly Dog? Those shows where each frame was detailed and kind of, like, fuckin’ stretchy. No bones, only EMOTION.
And like, it’s twisted somehow. Idk if that’s what you’re going for - it could just be that I personally find that sort of style mildly unsettling. But the emotional intensity of the stories you tell combined with the vibe-oriented pseudo-anatomy makes it feel dimly like a bad dream. One of the ones where the emotion is sadness and not fear, the ones where you can’t go home.
It’s very distinctive. I like it a lot.
SILLY PUTTY!!!!
I honestly love that description.
"it's not that I don't know how bodies work. All my characters are canonly made of playdough"
PERFECT! GHFHFHHFF
As a kid I didn't like Edd, Ed and Eddy cus the art style hurt my sensitive eyes, with all the wiggly lines and I found it super hard to relate to any of the cast of the culdesac. I'm sure there are kids like that, but in my friend group, I couldn't relate to anyone on a base level and didn't find many of the jokes that funny that I couldnt get from other shows at the time.
As a kid I was a little picky thing and I tended to hate cartoons that strictly focused on "real kids" or "real people" boring if it didn't have a fantastical element to it. Like... I hated Hey Arnold, As told by Ginger, Proud Family and Doug as a kid.... But loved Danny Phantom, American Dragon, Jackie Chan Adventures, Avatar the Last Airbender, Pokemon Indigo League and Life as a Teenage Robot if that makes sense? Lol
(I know the Eds is WAY more cartoony and zany then the other shows I listed. But my child brain lumped them together as "real people doing boring things" shows for some reason)
Somehow the Eds was always on TV and I ended up watching it when nothing else was on, but I really didn't like the show as a kid. lol
I appreciate the style and show a lot more now. I do remember really loving the movie finale as a kid however. Probably because it was the most plot driven episode in the series with actual stakes and conflict. And I think it was the first time in the series history where characters cried and it wasn't played for comedy. (To my memory)
As I said, I appreciate these shows a lot more now, but the style of the Eds still hurts my eyes.
Courage the Cowardly Dog however was completely my jam. As a child, I would watch anything with dogs in it. Even if it was bad. Scooby-Doo, Krypton, Martha Speaks, Blues Clues, Clifford... If there was a dog, I was down. (I guarantee I would have watched paw patrol if it was in the 90s/early 2000s)
And I remember having fun times watching Courage with my Mom on week day afternoons.
I was always fascinated with things that were scary or a little bit creepy. I remember also loving the heck out of Hunchback of Notre Dame when I was eight and would burn out my VHS so bad.
So Courage comes up with it's creepy themes and halarious running jokes (honestly, rewatching that show as an adult, you can tell they phone in jokes a lot of the time. The running jokes are super abundant to the point I wonder if the actors recorded one take and they kept reusing it just cus it made them laugh. Cries in lack of bonus features on the collectors dvd.)
Courage was the perfect amount of slapstick and horror. Kinda like a modern day Scooby-Doo of it's time (which I also loved) just without the bland predictable mystery element. (I can't believe it took us till 2022 to get that Scooby-Doo and Courage crossover, even if it was a little lame lol)
The show also taught me a lot about the value of courage as an anxiety-ridden kid.
Courage not being the absence of fear, but the boldness to press on despite your fears.
And Courage's over the top screaming and most of the 'Monsters' of the week having their own motivation for doing what they did, made me a little less scared I like to think. Most of the monsters in Courage were never strictly "evil". Every one of them tended to have misguided morals or ethics and Courage had to stop them because their actions would result in them kidnapping Mariel or hurting his family. (Some of them were just pure evil...but that was super rare. Like even the "return the slab" guy just wants his land/tablet back that was taken from him. )
Idk. Even now I think that's pretty cool. And even if Courage is a super formulic show, I still adore it to this day.
Anyways.... I rambled too long about cartoons I had growing up. Hfhfgdgd
But yes. All my characters are made of puddy. Thank you.

Why I like Spider-Man
Tumblr media
"The noblest prey ends the hunt in silent dignity."
"Prey? Silent? Dignity? You don't know me at all."
Spider-Man for me is a very nostalgic character. I watched many of his shows such as Spidey and his amazing friends, the 90's one with the Mary Jane water clone, the ugly-looking one where he is on a planet with animal people with Venom and Carnage, that really dark and depressing one made in CGI where he is hypnotized to push a girl out of a building, and of course, The Spectacular Spider-Man version, which is by far my favorite.
I also tried the ones made by Disney but... Those felt less like Spider-Man shows and more like shows that happened to have Spider-Man in it so they didn't left a huge impact on me.
Then there were the games... The many... Many, so many games...
The Ps1 ones where he fights Electro and a mix of Carnage and Dock. Ock, the Ps2 ones that were based on the movies, the Ultimate one where you play as Venom, and the Friend or Foe where you move like a freaking slug to go from one place to another and had the first trailer for the Spectacular show.
Tumblr media
Finally, there were the movies with Tobey, Andrew, and Tom, where each tried to give their own take on what makes Spidey who he is.
There were also tons of comics but... I wasn't really a comics person when I was a kid. It wasn't until later that I would try the Ultimate comics, which I did enjoy.
So yeah, I consumed a lot of Spider-Man content over the years. There is just something about this idea that really grabs me.
First of all, I love the theme of a spider hero, not because I like spiders, but because I just find it so out-of-the-box. He swings through the buildings with webs like Tarzan, he can stick to surfaces, he has an ability that allows him to predict incoming danger, and he is always moving as if gravity was a joke to him.
Spider-Man's powers are just so freaking cool and imaginative!
Tumblr media
Aside from that, Spidey was the first time I saw a hero making use of humor in the middle of action. Nowadays joking around in the middle of a fight is everywhere, it's kinda why people love things like "Dragon Ball Z abridged" so much, but back then this was more of a Spidey thing.
To this day I still find web swing to be the coolest form of movement for any character ever. Most heroes usually just fly or use super-speed, but the use of webs is visually much more engaging because of the way it uses momentum to progress. The only thing that would come close to being this cool is Diamondhead's surfing through a city by making diamond ramps on buildings.
It added charm and personality to the moment while also playing around with the thrill and excitement of seeing your hero getting nearly slashed in half just for him to make a joke to alleviate the tension, almost as if he was telling us "Don't worry guys, I got this!" so we can just relax and enjoy the show.
It also taught me that sometimes you need to be able to just embrace the ridiculousness of a situation and not take everything so seriously.
Tumblr media
But the final element that I love about Spider-Man, and probably the most important, is that the dude never gives up.
You have no idea how happy I was when I went to see Spider-Verse and the first few lines of the movie included "I get hit a lot, but I always get up in the end!"
This was all I needed to know that this was going to be a version of Spider-Man that I was going to love, because they understood what I liked the most about him.
Struggle is a part of life, and Spidey teaches us that just because sometimes we take a loss (or several) doesn't mean we should stop trying or that we should abandon our values, because in the end there is always something worth fighting for, something worth keeping going.

So basically, to me, what makes a good Spider-Man is one that looks cool in action, that has a good sense of humor, and that shows the value of persisting even in the face of challenge.
My favorite version, like I said, is probably Spectacular Spider-Man voiced by Josh Keaton, but I also really like the version with Andrew Garfield (movie quality aside) as they both just kill it with the jokes and the movement. I love how creative they get with web-based action when doing their fight scenes, you get a real sense of how agile the character is in these incarnations.
But I have to say that Spider-Verse with Miles probably best captures the core theme of not giving up better than all the others with "Leap of Faith" being one of my favorite movie scenes ever, right alongside "Aggie fights."
I'm still waiting for the perfect ideal Spider-Man that will capture everything I love about him at the same time, but until then, I'm more than happy with all the versions we got so far.

Neutral poses were changed for all but about 5 people.[25] The most noticeable characters with changes in special moves, such as Fury Legend and Dragon and Tiger Fist [26], Daimon Goro and Chin Gensai, whose physiques have been significantly changed and almost all motions have been modified.
Since then, the numbering series and derivative works have been inherited by correcting dots in each series using the above method, which was actively applied in 1996. From KOF 95 onwards, each character takes new stand-by motions and other noticeable motions, and there are cases where old motions are used for 오사마전대 킹오저 다시 보기 1화+_~풀보는곳technical motions. But if you don't look closely, you won't know…
It is not an exaggeration to say that the dot graphic that started in 94 was effectively inherited from 96 to KOF XI in 2005 as a regular numbering and KOF 2002 UM in 2009 as a remake. If it hadn't been actively working on what seemed new in '96, there might have been fewer changes in the later series. Since then, the dot style has gradually changed, but when the same color is applied, there is almost no sense of difference even if 94 dots and XI dots appear in one work.
[27] If all characters are retired and continue by inserting coins, they will be revived while taking the third victory pose.
In addition to this, a new dot has been added when the character is down. Mainly, when the opponent is maxed out with all their energy, they are hit and knocked down, or when they are hit by a super special move, they are knocked down. There is a separate skill that has the 'prone down attribute'.오사마전대 킹오저 다시 보기 1화+_~풀보는곳
The demo cut (illustration) of the victory screen was made based on the 3rd victory pose of each character displayed at the same time.
Significantly changed the directing of flying after being hit by an attack. A down pose where you turn your body in a spiral and fly away, and a down pose where you fall down on your stomach have been added. Even with existing techniques, you can feel that the opponent's reaction to the attack has changed a lot. The sound is handled by Hideki Asanaka (SHA-V), Kazuhiro Nishida (KONNY), Masahiko Hataya (PAPAYA), and Toshio Shimizu (SHIMIZM). , Yasumasa Yamada (YAMAPY-1), Yasuo Yamate (TAT오사마전대 킹오저 다시 보기 1화+_~풀보는곳E_NORIO), BROTHER-HIGE, Akihiro Uchida (ACKEY), MIWA.
Within the KOF series, along with KOF 99, KOF 2000, and KOF XIII, this work boasts the best OST quality. Many of the OSTs of this work are still occasionally used in KOF. If you listen to it yourself, you can tell that the quality has risen tremendously. Only 9 people were in charge of sound, the largest number of people ever in KOF, and all songs (arrangements) from 94,95 and Fury Legends series [28] and new songs are evaluated as masterpieces. The new song of 96 has been remade and used countless times in th오사마전대 킹오저 다시 보기 1화+_~풀보는곳e sequel. In particular, the ending theme Self of the main character team (not the Samshinki team) is so famous that it has been arranged as a vocal song. Self's arranged vocal song 夕陽と月 (Sunset and Moon) is a duet (!) between Kyo's voice actor Masahiro Nonaka and Iori's voice actor Kunihiko Yasui. I also sang it live at NEO·GEO DJ Station Live '99. "Sunset and Moon" has two female vocal versions with different lyrics.[29]
The character voice also changed from a hard tone that would have been popular in the 70s and 80s until 1995 to a soft tone, which has been maintained to this day.
As everything has undergone a great change in the series, the sense of impact has also undergone a great change. The feeling of impact of the existing 94 or 95 was good, but it felt clunky and hard. In particular, the 96 boasts the best hitting feeling among numerous series. You can see that Benimaru's Lightning Sphere or Ralph's Super Special Move series are great once you오사마전대 킹오저 다시 보기 1화+_~풀보는곳 use them. The directing at the time of hit was significantly changed from 96, and the hit stop was also shortened. In particular, the hit sound effect of the slashing technique is the most unique and intense among the series, and there is one particularly impressive slashing sound that can be heard immediately. If you write onomatopoeia, Kwajajak! It is a very loud and intense sound. Appears when Iori's M오사마전대 킹오저 다시 보기 1화+_~풀보는곳AX 8 daughter crashes. 'It was hard'. The development of KOF '96 can be expressed in one word. Wouldn't people in other fields as well as sound share the same opinion? Anyway, the determination of the staff for KOF '96 was great, and I still can't forget the enthusiasm of each staff member at the meeting. If you think about it now, it must have become 'excessive volume' and 'excessiv오사마전대 킹오저 다시 보기 1화+_~풀보는곳e schedule' because of that passion. Anyway, time was running out. In the end, the delivery date was changed a few times, although it was a short term. Now that this happened, of course, the location test was also behind schedule… At the time, I was conducting a location test at an arcade called Neo Geo Land operated by SNK. Fans lined up even before the store opened. Actually, it was postponed. And even during business, when the game center staff came to exchange ROMs for their usual work, people flocked to say, '96 is here!!' Ooh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh! It hurt.
After several delays, I came to the conclusion that 'I can't postpone it any longer' and said, 'Some characters can't be used, and some skills can't be used. And before the mid-boss, I wrote a 'specification for location testing with forced termination and simple endings. Then, a piece of paper with '70% development progress' written on it was attached to the aircraft and a 오사마전대 킹오저 다시 보기 1화+_~풀보는곳location test was conducted. KOF '96 is probably the first SNK game to place restrictions on ROMs in location testing. 'Development progress 70%? It's a lie, right? (laughs)' I heard something like this, but it's not a lie. Really. If there was a lie, the truth was that 'development progress was 65%'. In game development, there is usually a sense of accomplishment when you reach the location test, but there was none of that at this time.
Voice collection of OSTs released in the past. This also became a hot topic. "It contains a lot of unused voices," he said. This is because the CD recording date came before the game's master-up as the development schedule increased, so in other words, there was no plan to seal the technology yet at the stage of recording on the CD. Certainly, almost all skills were created before mastering. However, there were some skills that could cause bugs, so I sealed some of them with crying and eating mustard오사마전대 킹오저 다시 보기 1화+_~풀보는곳. There are no deletions [42], so the game play is not a problem. Loading, a chronic problem with Neo Geo CDs, is a hindrance. Unlike the arcade version where the characters moved on the screen for determining the order of characters, there is a difference that the characters do not move, and on the loading screen, you can see unique dot illustrations for each character that are not normally seen. The AST changed as it was transferred to the CD is also a popular factor, and the AST of KOF 96 is considered the best among the entire series. When you clear Goenitz in team play mode and single player mode, a menu to오사마전대 킹오저 다시 보기 1화+_~풀보는곳 view cutscenes is added, and save files are saved. You can call it up next time and play the final boss battle right away.[43] And only in the battle mode, you can directly select the stage from the options. In survival mode, in addition to score and clear time, characters can be saved, and the difficulty level, which could be changed in the console version, was fixed at level 1 and the time was set to normal.
A fan disc called 'KOF 96 Neo Geo Collection' was also released. It's literally a fan-service game, so you can't enjoy it like the original work, but you can enjoy the character's self-introduction, thanks comments from the voice actor in charge (!), technical explanations, listening to the OST and AST, and many illustra오사마전대 킹오저 다시 보기 1화+_~풀보는곳tions, starting with Shinkiro's drawings, so fans A good fan disk that can't be better for you. However, in the case of Joe Higashi, Hiyama Nobuyuki could not appear for some reason [44], so he was replaced with the setting that he went to the title match, and Mai Shiranui introduces him instead. I remember that several more were sealed with the flow of
