CALLING ALL FANFICTION AUTHORS!
Tumblr media
please reblog this. i've talked about this twice before, but obviously not everyone has seen it. i am calling for anyone who writes fanfiction or posts about a certain game/show/universe in any connective manner to please, please- PLEASE, copy this memo below comprising links to supporting palestine, education on the situation in gaza, and a must-need for those who engage in TLOU tumblr; links regarding the creators (neil druckmann) zionism, and how the plot of tlou2 is based on the israeli occupation of palestine. i don't care if what you write seems "insignificant" or "small" in the grouping of larger fics. no. everything that is not related to palestine in any form NEEDS these links. because, when we stray away from reblogging, or writing up our own posts in support of palestine/sharing journalists stories/etc. even for a SINGLE piece of writing, we could be missing people who are unaware (which, shouldn't be the case atp, but..) and fucking especially because in these fandoms, fics are the most popular thing. not reblogs about palestine, unfortunately; there are so many fanfiction accounts who very clearly don't give a fuck about the whole situation, seeping in silence, posting fics during strikes, not taking accountability for it now, so on and so forth. please, for the love of all that is good- CALL THEM OUT! people gaining hundreds of notes, tens of reblogs, supportive comments on a post that completely disregards what is happening SO BOLDLY right now, should irk you. i swear, if i see one more fuckass "i didn't know!" apology from an author who is CONSTANTLY on tumblr, REGULARLY posting fanfiction, i'm going to fucking lose it. if you are on tumblr to begin with, being this active- you have time to reblog. actually, educating yourself and reblogging is way quicker than writing up fanfiction of any length. are you fucking kidding me? you are laughable. comical, not real, and i have nay an ounce of respect for you. ever. but besdies that; the memo. i want everyone to copy this, or make something similar. put this above your summaries, authors note, whatever comes before the writing. every post you make should link back to supporting palestine, cause you never know how many eyes it will reach. it could change a lot of things. on pc, i believe copying it completely will preserve the links, but i'm not sure if mobile will. again. do whatever you can to add it. don't be lazy. put this in ur masterlists/navigation too.
for all fanfiction authors:
from the river to the sea, palestine will be free 🇵🇸
READ: this account stands with palestine, and so— i require everyone who interacts to educate themselves, and support/donate. READ THESE; 1 and 2, HELP HERE, BOYCOTT. silence is complicity, do not scroll past this.
for tlou fanfiction authors:
from the river to the sea, palestine will be free 🇵🇸
READ: this account stands with palestine, and so— i require everyone who interacts to educate themselves, and support/donate. READ THESE; 1 and 2, HELP HERE, BOYCOTT. silence is complicity, do not scroll past this.
DO NOT BUY THE REMASTER, TLOU2, TLOU1, OR ANY GAME FROM NAUGHTY DOG! neil druckmann (the creator) is a zionist. PLEASE READ THIS. AND REBLOG THIS.
you may add what is necessary, i wanted to keep it short for attention span sakes, and to avoid people skipping it entirely, and so on. i may edit these, fix up anything, but again, if you're using them you can edit them however. as long as you are linking anything in general, that is what matters. thank you, love from aestra. from the river to the sea, palestine will be free 🇵🇸

I try to stay away from negative topics, but after hearing talk on social media yesterday and seeing this post from @such-a-downer, I just had to give my two cents about the complaints regarding yesterday's chapter being "another short mission" and that Endo is somehow being "lazy" or whatever.
I honestly don't understand this mentality of criticizing manga-ka, or any artists really, because they aren't delivering by whatever standards you personally think are appropriate. To me, it just seems like entitlement because Endo has no obligation to cater to any specific fan's wants. This is his story to tell the way he wants, and his characters to develop at the pace he deems fit. This isn't a business contract where we're paying him to deliver content we want every two weeks without fail. If I'm consuming the fruits of someone's creative labor for free, I certainly feel no right to complain if sometimes their content isn't what I wanted or expected. I'm fine with that because 1) I know it's what they (the creator) wanted/needed at the time, and 2) even if a particular chapter wasn't my cup of tea, I know other fellow fans out there somewhere are enjoying the heck out of it, and that's cool!
We also have to remember that SxF is basically a one-man show. If Endo is busy or sick or whatever, it's not like he can have someone fill in for him to write and draw the series. That's what a hiatus is for, that's what making a short chapter instead of a longer one is for...that's how artists should be treated so they don't get burned out and stressed. Plus, art shouldn't be rushed. Any artist knows that there are times when you have trouble coming up with ideas and maybe need a little extra time to develop a more complex section of the story. To immediately jump to conclusions that he's lazy or doesn't know what he's doing is ridiculous. Maybe he didn't feel good for a few days, maybe he's been busy with other SxF events, maybe he just needed more time to get a particular future arc developed, or maybe he just has basic IRL obligations to take care of like we all do...you don't know what's going on in his life, so don't make assumptions.
Another thing to keep in mind is that it's literally impossible to please every fan. One of the comments I read for example, someone was ready to drop the series because we haven't seen much of Yor in "a while." All I could think of was "didn't she just have a pretty big role only four chapters ago when they went to the ski resort?" Plus she was the star of chapter 91, which was less than ten chapters ago. So according to this person's standards, four chapters without seeing a particular character is "too long"? What if it was only three chapters, would that be acceptable? It's not right to push our own personal standards of a series' pacing as the "correct" way: some people want to see more of character X while someone else wants to see more of subplot Y, so should both complain that the manga-ka isn't doing right whenever they focus on something else? I'm not saying you shouldn't make criticisms of a manga-ka's work, but the criticisms should come from within the narrative itself, not superficial things like chapters focusing on subplots/characters you don't want to see or not having enough "plot-advancing" content when it's not a plot-focused series.
People who have read SxF up to this point should know the general flow of the chapters: mostly slice-of-life episodic, with more plot-heavy, intense arcs once in a while, like the cruise arc and bus arc. It's an ensemble series that spends most of its chapters focused on at least one of the Forgers, but occasionally other characters here and there. That's how the series has been for years and will likely continue to be. So if you keep complaining because you only like the dramatic story arcs and not the "nothing happens" episodic chapters, then maybe the series just isn't for you. It's totally fine if that's the case, but don't act like Endo is doing something wrong because he's not providing the particular thing you want in his story.
To summarize, Endo has no obligation to cater to particular fans' standards, just as we have no obligation to keep reading his work if we don't like it. But being a fan to me means respecting the creator's pace and vision even if it's not always what I personally want. I can find something to enjoy in every chapter because I'm a fan of SxF, not a fan of one particular aspect of it. But I also will not complain every time my tastes aren't being catered to and will simply occupy myself with other things while I wait. What's the big hurry, after all? I'm in no rush for SxF to wrap up its plot and I'm glad Endo isn't rushing either.
And that's all I'm gonna say about this topic, lol. On a happier note, I'm going to finally see Code White on Thursday! 😁 More to come later~

i was being a completely sane person today (/s) and was creating a timeline tree for snm would anyone even be interested in that. and collecting my shipping thoughts (or specifics about them being a couple etc). know that i still consider my knowledge of the franchise as poor. its just tidying it up in my head so when i talk about something i can pinpoint a specific thing (i was too deep in fnaf theorizing so now i have to suffer thru a franchise that doesnt even have a canon)
in short/tldr the comics are the base that happened in every possible timeline and everything else is derived from that, happening after, except the cartoon, which shows some events the same way so that would be more intertwined; not everything is connected/within one timeline. and the cartoon is my most fav and where i see them as a true couple.
long rant ahead
on one hand i really like the time travel theory where its like comics -> ttg -> cartoon etc by them travelling back in time for that, however there are many holes especially thinking about their families and stuff so
i like the idea of things branching off. one branch is comics - htr - cartoon, as something more intertwined
second is comics -> ttg -> poker night 2 (since it references ttg events) (idk bout 1 i havent played/seen that)
third would be comics -> ttiv (or comics -> htr -> ttiv, i have no idea atm if bosco's is mentioned in the comics but it is in htr and mentioned in ttiv. ttiv is also set in the year it came out, so theres a huge gap inbetween ttiv and htr but i wouldnt say its where the ttg games happened!)
and i dont mean this in like a multiverse way, since the creator seems to dislike that, its simply just a very loose canon that differs with each installment (simply due to different people working on these imo. nothing too deep imo)
but the juicy part!! i even made brackets that im too lazy to remake digitally so i will just write it out for each bigger installment. im excluding poker night 1 as i havent played it nor watched much gameplay
M = married, BF = best friends (in all technically)
comics: M - unlikely; BF - yes absolutely
htr: M - possible; BF - yes
cartoons: M - i take it as canon here. BF - yes million percent
ttg all seasons: M - no; BF - yes.
poker night 2: M - not sure, implied dating, i take that as good enough; BF - yes
ttiv: M - absolutely not. not a couple at all. BF - they seem too tense, yes, but from my experience playing, their interactions were imo the worst in all of their media, so i wasnt buying it at some points
note - ttiv has to be like the straightest they ever were and i also see it in S.P.'s more recent work. im looking too deep into that, perhaps, but im just thinking were never gonna get anything similar to what we got from back in the 90s again, if theres any future projects
people are also saying they got married like 4 times and its making me a bit confused here. do people mean cartoon, htr dress up card, cake topper and tdph ring scene or am i missing something big?? because to me that is married once, other ones being just for jokes (first one as well but its less vague), and in the ttg games its so extremely vague i cant count that (being realistic here) that said its still fun to joke about them getting married several times, but in this case wouldnt it be more of a marriage per timeline?
and to end this, a personal tierlist
my most fave obviously is the cartoon. not only is it the easiest to work with for me, with the fast pacing and short watch time (but ofc i wish it was longer) i absolutely love how their relationship is depicted there, even if a lot of stuff there is just jokes, but if everything is a joke then its also fine to take everything as canon within this media, to me! like when haters say that people only take the wedding scene out of the intro and ignore the rest - as if the other stuff couldnt happen (isnt one of the shots them fighting a giant octopus, which they end up having an episode about too. like cmon. anything goes here) even if it was contained within this specific part of the franchise, im ok with calling them a couple here. and its S tier overall
another S tier is the comics. nothing else to say
HTR is like A tier to me, only taking off points because its soooo sloooowwww and playing it after watching the series took 3 years off my life immediately. otherwise gud game.
ttg is like A to B tier for me, because of some specifics and preferences but thats just me being nitpicky so, the games overall are good. A- it is. thats all
poker night 2 is fun, i watch the gameplay a lot lately when im too tired at midnight to do anything else, A tier
ttiv. oh how mixed i am about you. gameplay by itself and my first experience with the game - S tier. it made me so giddy more than one time and i kept wanting to come back until i finished the game fully. i dont mind the bugs, its just what i expect in VR games and even tho it made me a bit frustrated at times it wasnt all that bad. its also the only vr game i played for over an hour once and didnt get motion sick - the exception was the level at the store which seemed too bright and actually made me nauseous. which is a feeling that somehow comes back whenever i think about this game. what i dislike was the dialogue, while most of it was fun and fine, i had moments where i just burst out laughing, they (or max especially) were way too mean towards the player. i know its a joke and you could chalk it up to max being unhappy with us/jealous, but it got like, generally unpleasant very quickly. with stuff like good throw - "nice!" bad throw - *neverending insults* and the second was how painfully straight it was and like. the vibes i got from them two was like, oh theyre fed up with each other and my shipping self was just left quite disappointed. i did not get all lines during my gameplay which made it great but upon going thru every line manually after, i was just more and more uncomfortable with what they said in their banter. this drops the game to like C for me? maybe B if i squint. being generous. i also got sick of their talking animations over time... the models are fine just got to be too much. bonus points for max ragdoll physics tho. coming up with a conclusion that this is a completely separate timeline and has nothing to do with anything other than the comics and perhaps HTR. i talked so long about this one cause its the one thing that prompted all of this lol.
but its not that serious! i just knew this franchise for ages as "oh its the two animal guys that are married and its funny" and now that i got into it fully, i see a lot of the shippers are obviously daydreaming and taking things out of context - which is fun, i agree!! i also do that. but it just painted a completely different picture for me. so no. theyre not married, theyre not a couple, except for the cartoon, where its implied, which stays on top for me. but in ttg at least, they love each other, its not as romantic, but i can ship them there (so i ship them in the context of the cartoon and ttg basically)
anyway. nothing is canon for them, everything is canon for them, and everything they say or do is a joke so. its not that deep at all. they gay tho

One of my issues with Team CRDL in canon is how clearly they're meant to be Hate Sinks.
For anyone who doesn't know: a hate sink is a character meant to be unsympathetic, unlikable. They're meant to be hated by the audience and creators will often pile the worst qualities they can think of onto them for the sake of getting an audience to enjoy when said character is punished.
It is very hard to create a character like this in a way that's fun to watch without the character feeling ridiculous or annoying. And it's not even annoying in the way the writer would want.
In team CRDL's case their existence just screams that the writers wanted an easy antagonist the viewers could hate without doing the work to actually build interesting characters that could exist beyond the "Jaune is bullied" arc.
What makes it more frustrating is that they are one of the only Beacon teams we got in the series, Beacon was very barren of actual notable characters so when 20% of the cast has no purpose outside of "Please hate us" it's very stark and noticeable.
In general, Jaune's episodes are the ones I dread, rewatching the most in volume 1 because they do a disservice to both his story and the existence of a decent portion of the cast. Jaune being the subject of ridicule and insult from peers who view him as weak is a good idea but the execution of it doesn't work.
Not to mention (as I've said before) the decision to name one of them "Winchester" which is a real world gun company and yet choose not to weave his family into the lore is so incredibly baffling.
Honestly, the idea characters existing as nothing but bullies to be hated isn't even a rwby original thing. It's very common in shounen and every time it's as tiring as the last because typically the characters only exist to make our main character likable in comparison. It's a lazy writing tactic.

Hot take for alot of people, you don't need to know everything about everyone's person life
People, including your favourite mcyts, do indeed talk... OUTSIDE OF TWITTER
And just because they have 1 disagreement in there PERSONAL LIVES does mean they have to bast that person. They can just, not make content together.
People are acting like Wilbur and Shelby started international wars, but Wilbur f-up and had to apologise and we know from previous clips WAY BEFORE he met shelby that he'd done similar things, Niki even mentioned wilbur biting her in come old live streams and clips.
"but shelby didn't blah blah-" Niki knew, Scott Smajor knew, Noxite/Nox crew knew because he wasn't the Mcc presenter for a long time, minx knew, Bilzo knew, geminitay knew, Aimsey clear knew for a long time because you don't have a reaction like that not know furthermore they said they already knew, Ranboo vaguely knew, MEMBER OF THE PUBLIC KNEW BUT WERE SHUT DOWN
Everyone knew apart from the people who weren't as close to Shelby or didn't witness his behaviour. Heck even QT and someone other people highlight Wilbur behaviour at a content creator party DESPITE minx being the one on the chopping block.
People who didn't even know wilbur acknowledged he was weird, and some expressed discomfort. James marriott decided to promotely cut ties with lovejoy because he was uncomfortable with there behaviour, he was crapped but has since recovered.
Some other smaller CC who spoke out didn't recover.
And personally I believe we had no right to know because it's about there PRIVATE LIVES and Wilbur has a fanbase similar to BTS, they see, they attack and they don't ask questions.
Why would wilbur need to apologise for something he didn't do? Because he did do it.
He did do those things, whether people like it or not he did. There are too many people, including non-content creators, who knew about his behaviour, tried to speak out but then were cut off because of it. It took a collective effort of at always 18+ people over the course of 5+ years to get the word out.
It's not shelby's fault that "Wilbur's career is ruined" and it's certainly not her fault that crazy people think it's okay to doxx him.
"but why didn't they go to the police?" that man had a rough estimate of 3 million in his whole time on dsmp, the government for the highest tax bracket would take 50%
Why arrest someone who gives you 1.5 millions?
And then there's a fact of 1 MILLION domestic abuse case were reported by the UK alone in 2023, 24% of those cases weren't reported by the victim hense going "unreported", and only 50k of the 1 MILLION case went to court AND ONLY 5% WERE CONVICTED.
So only 5% of domestic abuse cases go to court.
And only 2500 of those people go to prison.
Only 0.25% of abuse cases, in the UK, ends up with someone being punished.
And out of that 0.25% are they arresting someone who gives them 1.5 million in the last 4 years? No.
As someone who lives in the UK violence is tolerated as long as they'd 1. Wealth. 2. Have lazy police in the area. 3. Are a public figure which can damage tourism. 4. Member of the government/police force. 5. You can convince them that you won't do it again.
People are wild to think it's as straightforward as "bad man go to jail"
They couldn't give a flying-f if Wilbur just up and left because he already gave them alot of money. What's 1 person who pays you 0 taxes because they're not apart of your country to someone who paid you millions?
It's a shitty world but Wilbur will never be charged. Most famous people will never be charged.

STAYEducated: Plagiarism 101
What is plagiarism?
“Presenting work or ideas from another source as your own, with or without consent of the original author, by incorporating it into your work without full acknowledgement." - University of Oxford
Reposting content instead of reblogging/retweeting/sharing it.
Reposting content without asking the original creator for permission, or doing so even if they deny permission.
Sharing or reposting content without giving full, proper credit to the original creator.
Taking someone else's original work and claiming it is your own creation or content.
Why is plagiarism bad?
Plagiarism is unethical. While most general content plagiarism will not be pursued legally, plagiarism is lazy, demoralising, disrespectful and selfish.
Someone whose content is frequently stolen might be dissuaded from creating content at all, or might choose to make their content more inaccessible. It also emotionally harms the content creator.
Plagiarism can often have pretty serious consequences, even if you weren't maliciously plagiarising. Your account could be deleted, your details banned from creating further accounts, certain features on your account(s) being blocked, and it could garner you an ugly reputation within your community which can stick around for a long time.
Plagiarism essentially tells the original creator you don't respect them or value what they do. They're just a tool for you to benefit from.
Plagiarism can also harm the original content creator, who might have to go through undue process to prove they own the content you've stolen from them.
How can I avoid plagiarising?
Link to, share, reblog/retweet or tag people in content you want them to see rather than re-uploading the content.
Give proper credit, even in private spaces. If you send someone's art to a private group chat, tell them who made it and where to find it, or better yet, only send them a direct link to the original post.
"Credit to the original poster" and "not mine" are NOT proper credit.
Avoid sharing content from Pinterest and similar 'sharing' websites. Pinterest's entire model is based on people re-uploading things that do not belong to them and their DMCA process is a nightmare. Use the reverse image search or check the Pinterest post for the original content link and share it straight from the source.
If you're unsure who made something, don't share it or use it. Often it takes me less than 10 minutes to find out something is stolen and who it belongs to originally. If you need to, ask around! Often other people will know if something has been re-uploaded or if its safe to share.
Do your due diligence, always.
I found plagiarised content, what should I do?
Alert the original creator. On many websites only the original creator can get stolen content removed unless you can prove you're acting on their behalf.
Alert others the content is stolen. Be wary that on some sites the uploader can choose to hide or remove your comments, so its often best to take screenshots and make a separate post in conjunction with leaving a comment.
Report the content where possible. In some cases you can use flagging it as spam or stolen content to make a report or you can contact customer support directly and alert them to stolen content.
Don't positively engage with the stolen content. If you have, do your best to remove your engagement by unliking it, deleting your reblogs, ect.

The parallels between Code Geass and Hamlet
Tumblr media
In the first episode of R1, when Lelouch and Rivalz go back to Ashford Academy after the former defeated a noble in a game of chess, Lelouch reads a book. For a fraction of a second, we see that this book is Hamlet, a tragedy written by William Shakespeare between 1599 and 1601 and it is his most recognized work (some would define it as the quintessential Shakespearean and I personally call it the epitome of Baroque). This is a detail that called my attention because it wasn’t necessary to give the book a title. They could perfectly invent one or leave it empty. Instead, the creators of Code Geass opted to choose a real and distinguished work of English and world literature. I read Hamlet a few years ago and it's fresh in my mind, at least I remember it more than other books I've read, and I drew parallels between the two as I reminisced and came up with some interesting results that I'd love to share with you.
To do this, I have to gut the play of Hamlet. Therefore, if you are one of those who don’t like spoilers, or stop wasting time and go read Hamlet, which is on the internet, or, if you are lazy, go see the Kenneth Branagh film, which is Hamlet word for word (hence it is an even longer movie than Avengers Endgame) or continue reading my comparative analysis and I will convince you to give this great work a chance.
Tumblr media
Hamlet is the story of a Danish prince who has just returned home to attend the funeral of his father, the king, who recently passed away. But then he hears that a ghost with a striking resemblance to the late king appears in the castle at night; so Hamlet is encouraged to investigate and manages to meet with the ghost that, in effect, is real and it is about his father who has crossed the threshold of the afterlife to entrust him with a mission: to kill his uncle Claudio; for it turns out that he killed his own brother to ascend the throne and marry Hamlet's mother, Gertrude. This is the first act of the play and constitutes the premise of it; as well as establishing its two main themes: revenge and madness.
Immediately, we distinguish several parallels between Lelouch and Hamlet: both are princes who decide to take revenge for their deceased parents against a member of their family, who is precisely the monarch of their kingdom, after receiving a supernatural summons (the ghost of their father, for Hamlet; the Geass, for Lelouch); however, none of them imagine that on this journey they will lose themselves and the beings they love. Throughout the plot, Lelouch and Hamlet will be assisted by C.C. and Horace respectively. Horatio is Hamlet's friend and, like C.C., is the voice of reason and is Hamlet's greatest confidant. He is present in most of the scenes in the play, always accompanying Hamlet and conversing with him. Even in his soliloquies, which are the moments when Hamlet bares his thoughts, he is there; as well as C.C. who remains on Lelouch's side. Neither Horacio nor C.C. take actions in the plot, they limit themselves to being simple spectators and both, additionally, wanted to kill themselves, but they were stopped by Hamlet and Lelouch who wanted them to continue living, for different reasons that I won’t go into details.
Tumblr media
Both Hamlet and Lelouch are gray characters that critics and fans of their respective works like to argue about by raising the classic debate: is Hamlet/Lelouch a hero or a villain? In any case, the conclusion is the same for both: they are two of the most human characters both in Shakespeare's work, in the case of Hamlet, and in the anime industry, in the case of Lelouch (if you want an answer , don't think too much about it: both are undoubtedly tragic heroes).
As someone who loves Shakespeare and Code Geass equally, I think Lelouch is a hybrid of Hamlet and Macbeth (another great Shakespearean character). This is because Lelouch and Macbeth live tormented by their crimes, however, they continue to justify themselves that the blood spilled would be in vain if they stop. On the contrary, Hamlet is a bit more pusillanimous and very indecisive (he's not an action type, he's more contemplative and thoughtful).
Although Hamlet has sworn an oath of vengeance in the first act, he doesn't take action right away because he doesn't fully believe the ghost's accusation or so he says (in my opinion, it's because he's afraid to act); so Hamlet decides to check if his uncle is the murderer of his father and find out who are his allies and his enemies by faking his madness (yes, like Lelouch, Hamlet has acting skills) . Of course, his alienated attitude causes strangeness at court, especially it baffles Polonius, who is the king's adviser and an impertinent bootlicker for Claudio, and that motivates him to investigate. At a certain point in the play, Gertrudis, worried about her son, confronts him alone in her room, while Polonius, who is a gossip, hides behind the curtains to spy on them. Hamlet spots Polonius's feet and, believing that he is his uncle, savagely stabs him, only to discover that he wasn’t who he thought he was. This stupid mistake will affect the children of Polonius, which will lead to the great tragic ending of the work.
Tumblr media
On the one hand, there is Ofelia, the sweet and innocent youngest daughter of Polonius (well, I presume that she is younger). She is in love with Hamlet and has had affairs with him, they have even consummated sexual relations; but ever since he assumed the role of his madman, Hamlet has been cold and somewhat cruel to her, on the grounds that he believes she is part of plot. Returning to Ofelia, the pain caused by the murder of her father at the hands of the man she loved drives her crazy and leads her to commit suicide. In a sense, her tragic fate brings me back to Shirley.
Like Ofelia, Shirley is in love with Lelouch, due to which she suffers from the barriers he imposes and she is left disoriented, while being curious about his strange behavior (Hamlet's feigned madness, on the one hand, and the Lelouch's efforts to hide his double life, on the other). Her feelings are conflicted when she finds out that her lover is the murderer of her father. It’s worth noting that neither Hamlet nor Lelouch had the intention of killing the father of their respective love interests. It was all a unfortunate accident. From here on, Shirley and Ofelia's paths diverge, but they end at exactly the same point: dead and Lelouch/Hamlet are indirectly guilty, or at least that's how they both feel, because, despite everything, they did love Shirley/ Ophelia.
Tumblr media
On the other hand, there is Laertes, the impulsive and bellicose eldest son of Polonius. Laertes has a brief but forceful introduction that is, at the same time, a prelude. Laertes warns his sister that she should be careful around Hamlet because he fears that his love for her is insincere and he is only taking advantage of her. And he adds something like this: "if I find out that Hamlet hurt you, I'll kill him" (of course, Shakespeare says it in a more sophisticated and beautiful way than me; that gentleman did know how to use language properly). Saying that, Laertes leaves for France. When the news of the terrible deaths of his father and his sister reaches his ears, he returns to Denmark to take revenge on Hamlet and I’m inevitably thinking of Suzaku.
Like Laertes, Suzaku was immersed solely in his own business, but when Lelouch kills Euphemia, Suzaku turns to revenge by vowing to kill him (Shakespeare is known for his love of building narrative parallels between two characters, and Code Geass is rife with this kind of parallelism, the most obvious being that of Suzaku and Lelouch: one way or another, they end up becoming the other in the second season). Needless to say, Euphemia's death was an irremediable event as a result of a foolish joke, like Polonius's death that was a mistake. Two tragic accidents. (By the way, coincidence that Suzaku went crazy over Shirley's death afterwards? I don't think so). Suzaku and Laertes are blinded by pain and anger and, although Lelouch and Hamlet try to reach a middle ground, both flatly refuse to listen to reason; which pushes them into a confrontation that, to a certain extent, is sponsored by the enemies of the respective protagonists. Claudio, who already knows that his niece has discovered his crime and intends to end his life, manipulates Laertes to get rid of Hamlet. Charles never deliberately uses Suzaku's anger for his benefit, but Suzaku serves him and his empire, which works to their advantage in a certain way.
In the end, the poison of hatred corrodes Laertes in a literal and metaphorical sense, since he ends up perishing in the duel against Hamlet, being wounded by his own poisoned sword, although he doesn’t leave without first revealing the conspiracy he was hatching with Claudio and make peace with Hamlet, as he understands that his judgment was clouded.
And, to all these, what happens with Hamlet?
Tumblr media
Well, he is killed by Laertes in said duel of swords (yes, they kill each other). As is Lelouch dies impaled by the sword wielded by Zero (Suzaku) in the Zero Requiem. Just like Laertes and Hamlet at the end, Lelouch and Suzaku also manage to settle their differences and make peace for the good of the world. And, just as Lelouch kills Charles, Hamlet gets revenge on him by murdering his Uncle Claudius.
See that Hamlet and Lelouch have in common that, though driven by a desire for justice, both are both victims and responsible agents of the misfortunes that befall them, their loved ones, and their nation, as Denmark falls into the hands of of a foreign king and I’m not going to dwell on the consequences of each battle of the Black Knights and the Zero Requiem, I trust that you remember in broad strokes how many losses and how much havoc there was in the world.
Also see that both characters are haunted by death. In addition to the deaths that I mentioned and that are attributed to Hamlet, we must add those of his mother and his two childhood friends who succumb to the hatred and pain that Hamlet feels since his friends obeyed orders from his enemy and he believed that his mother was in cahoots or, in any case, that she didn't love her father because her mother got married quickly because she got married quickly, which, in his eyes, was a betrayal (yes, a lot of people die in this play and, in fact, I think it is the play that honors that Shakespeare meme that wanders Facebook saying that he has no idea how to finish his play, so he kills to all the characters; although it isn’t quite like that either, Horacio survives, a few characters who don’t appear again and Fortinbrás, who is the foreign king. Basically, it's like in Code Geass, all the important characters die except for C.C., the UNF members and the background characters).
I must say that in a certain way it reminds me of Lelouch because he blamed all of his family, not only his father, for the misfortune that fell on him, his mother and his sister (this is because they didn’t respond for them). Lelouch hates his siblings as well and was equally responsible for the death of his mother. Hamlet's mother, Gertrude, dies by mistake, but he was indirectly to blame.
Oh, I almost forgot! Horace tries to commit suicide, but Hamlet stops him because he needs him to tell his story.
Hamlet and Lelouch suffer more from the consequences of their own actions than those of others, that includes their enemies. Their vendettas consume them and make them lose themselves in madness; for until the damage is done, Hamlet and Lelouch are unable to see the destruction they leave behind.
We could say that Hamlet and Code Geass address the stories of two great men who fight to keep their sanity, if not they have already lost it.
I dare say that Hamlet is the most prominent tragedy in general culture (I think if I asked you to talk about tragedy you would think of Shakespeare and this play specifically) and I think it's great that they introduced this detail in the first episode of Code Geass because it's a subtle statement of intent: none of us knew what we were going to find in this series, so it ended up surprising us. Code Geass is properly a beautiful tragedy and no one better than Shakespeare to present it to us. I don’t rule out at all that Hamlet has been inspirational material for Code Geass. I perfectly imagine Okouchi in his house thinking: “hey! What if Laertes and Hamlet had been childhood best friends? That duel would have been more intense! Oh yes!”
Joking apart…
Maybe Shakespeare influenced the good reception that Code Geass had in me. I love tragedies. I love tragic characters. I love Shakespeare. I consider myself an admirer of his work and I recognize his influence on my writing. Hamlet isn’t my favorite work by the English playwright, although I enjoy the story and how things are handled, I find it hard to connect with Hamlet; unlike Lelouch, to whom I already professed eternal love. Anyway, I still have a lot of Shakespeare plays to read and fall in love with.
I hope you liked this analysis. I loved writing it, even though it took me longer than I had calculated. You should turn it into a video so that it lasts forever and ever. Let me know in comments the opinions of him. We will be reading soon.
PS: no, it's no coincidence that the Lelouch from my fanfic, Code Geass: Bloodlines, is a Shakespearean fanboy. I must even say that to build the dynamics of my Lelouch and C.C. I was inspired by Macbeth and his wife; just as I was inspired by the character of Brutus, from the tragedy of Julius Caesar, for my Suzaku.

Let me try to explain this...
Okay, let me try to explain something. And let me try on a personal level here.
I am bisexual. And while I am a guy, I only came out as trans when I was like 30, so I lived 30 years as a bisexual woman. Because I was out as bisexual when I was like... 11.
And do you know how most guys I have ever dated reacted to it? "OMG! We could have a threesome!"
Of course, if you have followed me for a while, you know that I very much am in favor of moresomes, both as a one-off or a constant thing. Buuut... This still always felt super, super gross to me. Do you want to know why?
Because they saw my sexuality, something that is a very inherent part of myself, as a thing they could use to fulfill their desires. They saw this aspect of me as a tool they could use for themselves. And that is fucking disgusting.
Anyways... This is why I hate playersexuality in video games. Aka "oh, the characters are bisexual, so everyone can romance them". So, the stuff that a lot of modern CRPGs do. Be it Baldur's Gate 3 or Starfield or... Well, you can probably think of several other examples. Because in most of those cases the characters are not really written as bisexual. Their supposed "bisexuality" is just a tool to fulfill the disires of the players. It is not even part of the characters, it is just a tool. And to me, as a bisexual guy, this is fucking offensive.
If you want to make your characters bisexual? Well, then go ahead and write the characters as bisexual. Put it into the text that the characters are bisexual. Put in the effort.
In other forms of media we do not let the creators get away with "well, X is actually Y-sexual", when the text itself does not make it clear. We will call out the writers, directors and showrunners trying to pull this off as cowards, because we kinda know that this sexuality is not in the text to make sure there will not be angry conservatives about "people pushing queerness down their throats". Or because they were too lazy to write it and do the legwork for it.
So, why the fuck are we okay with it, when games do it?
To keep the example with BG3: If you do not play the game as a female character that goes on to romance Astarion and do not enjoy meta-content, you would have no way of knowing that Astarion is "supposed" to be pan. Because he is written as a gay character (by which I am talking about that each and every prior relationship he mentions has been with a man). The same goes in turn with Gale and Shadowheart. If you do not play as a male charater to romance either of them, you will come away from the game and read them as a straight man and a lesbian respectively. Because there is nothing within the text to suggest otherwise.
Their "bisexuality" just exists, so that no players are disappointed that they cannot romance a character. And maybe to make programming easier.
And again, the same is very much true for a lot of other CRPGs. Starfield comes to mind, like most Bathesda games. I mean, it is not quite the same, as for the most part the characters in Bathesda games read more like they do not have any sexuality at all (the fact, that the games are very squeaky clean on the sexual front most certainly plays into it). But the problem is very much the same.
To me it just reads as super biphobic. Because it feels like they can use bisexuality to serve their purpose.
I am fine with the characters being bisexual. No matter what game. But then actually put in the work to write them as bisexual. Make it part of their story. Don't just slap the "bisexual" label onto them, so they can be romanced by whoever.

Hiii, I read your post about the stiff dialogue in LO, and I wanted to add my own two cents!
I myself am a person with a nice case of dyslexia (it will most likely show in this message). While I can’t speak for everyone with dyslexia, I pesonally cannot and will not publish anything ”official”, without spell checking it to hell and back. This is mostly because I’m hyper aware of this being one of my ”shortcomings”.
I also wanted to say, that most of, if not all, people with dyslexia that I know are rather self-consious about it. I just find it a bit unbeliavable that all the misspellings/awkward text in LO are there simply because Rachel has dyslexia. To me personally, it seems to be more a product of laziness and/or indifference.
Of course there is the fact that I’m not working on a long project, and I can usually take my time with my work, so maybe I just have more recourses to be careful. I also want to make clear that I don’t mean to say that Rachel’s dyslexia doesn’t affect her workload at all, but I do think she should have the means to check these things, especially since she is quite successful in the field.
Thanks for pitching in on this! I myself do not have dyslexia, but I do understand the struggle of missing words or misspelling them as my brain tends to move too quick at times for my writing speed to keep up LMAO It happens a lot when I'm writing by hand as I can't handwrite as fast as I can type so words sometimes go missing while my brain speeds ahead 😂
I can get why someone might be a little more self-conscious about typos being pointed out if they're making their comic entirely on their own and for free, or if they're just self-conscious about making mistakes in general (it can be scary to put a piece of work out into the world!) but Rachel is literally the top creator on the platform so there's zero excuse for it to have gone this long without at least a copy editor. And frankly it's still weird that they hire a copy editor at all just for checking typos because that's something that can be done so easily (again, Rachel has 4-5 other assistants per episode, you're telling me NONE of them could do it for her? Oh that's right, because she has them all draw their panels in isolation of one another and then she slaps the dialogue in at the last minute -.- the copy editor she has right now seems like the 'last step' before she submits the comic).
That said, if you go back far enough, you can actually find Rachel's take on correcting her misspellings and it's... frankly way saltier than it ought to be? Like I get it, it might feel like an attack for someone to say "hey, I spotted this mistake!" especially if you're self-conscious about it or are living with a learning disorder that affects your every day life, but when you get over that self-consciousness of making mistakes, it's really not that big of a deal? Like, yeah, it can be really frustrating when people point those mistakes out because it makes you feel bad or reminds you that you're struggling with something like spelling that seems so natural and 'easy' to everyone else, but I find true genuine fans of your work don't point these things out to be mean, just to be helpful. Yes, some people are mean about it, but you can usually tell which ones are the mean ones and which ones are the nice ones.
I've made spelling and grammatical errors in both Time Gate and Rekindled that have been kindly pointed out, and you know what I do when people find them? I thank them for spotting what I clearly didn't and I go and fix it. Because it makes my work better for my audience and my own peace of mind.
Rachel, meanwhile-
Tumblr media
(tiny picture translation:
Question: Why do you have typos?
Rachel's answer: Yes, believe it or not I speak English. (English-New Zealand not English-American) Remember... not everyone cares about spelling. And frankly if go around pointing out spelling mistakes in peoples comics you have an issue. Plus I'm dyslexic you insensitive ass!)
Like... that whole thing is from her FAQ section that she made herself and she's still having a tone of voice that implies she's directing her answer at one specific person as if it was like an anon ask LMAO and really, I get the spirit of what she's saying, it can be pretentious/rude to point out people's spelling mistakes... in an informal or conversational setting. If you're making a comic or writing a book, though, it's basically a bare minimum expectation that you should be using spell check and making sure things are readable. You're making the work for other people to read after all. So her tone in this followed by the whole "I'm dyslexic you ass" bit just feels so unnecessarily hostile over something that was an innocent mistake and happens to literally everyone. Like, she really do be hurting her own feelings in her own FAQ that she made on her own time, this isn't the only question in there that reeks of 2000's edgy era "fuck you for asking" energy lmao
That said, to be fair, that is from her 2000's edgy era, so I'm hoping she's grown out of that at least slightly, but judging by how she's been managing her comic the past few years, it's clear she still isn't bothering to employ simple tactics to keep mistakes from slipping through the cracks and would rather lean on her dyslexia as an excuse rather than a reason. Dyslexia is a reason for typos, but where it becomes an excuse IMO is when she blames her dyslexia and then doesn't fix the mistakes that arise due to her dyslexia or do anything to make her life easier going forward.
Again, she's hired a copy editor, so if they're a permanent part of the team now, that will hopefully make things better. But why weren't they one of the first people hired when it's clear that Rachel could really use the help to ensure her comic comes out being the best version of itself it could be? It's like she's been literally shooting herself in the foot for the last 5 years.
It really feels lazy and, frankly, disrespectful. I know that might be a hot take or seem a little overblown to use that word here, but if you're going to be creating a comic for an audience - and expecting that audience to read your comic each week and in Rachel's case be expected to pay money for it - then you should be doing them the service of making it worth reading and sticking around for. If you can't even do so much as spell check your work - or go back and edit the errors when they arise - then that really goes to show how little you care about your own audience because you're not willing to put in the time and effort to even just fix a typo, let alone give them something worth coming back to and paying for each week. Sure, not everyone pays for the comics, but those viewership analytics are still valuable and it's very clear at this point that they're dropping rapidly week after week, and yet Rachel is doing barely anything to help turn things around.
Lore Olympus disrespects its audience in more ways beyond just the typos, of course, but the typos feel like the shopping cart litmus test - it costs next to nothing to resolve the issue, so if you still choose not to, it speaks to how little effort you're willing to put in to do something helpful for others that already only requires the bare minimum to do.
Of course, much of this is all speculative so take it with grains of salt, but judging by her responses to her own audience way back in the day, it really paints a picture of how Rachel views her audience. It makes it feel like she doesn't release her work into the world to genuinely entertain people or to find others who may connect and resonate with the work, she does it purely for herself and herself alone. That wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing in and of itself, it's pretty difficult to keep up a project if you aren't doing it for yourself to some degree (and you shouldn't create a comic just to earn an audience because that's just setting up unfair expectations for yourself lol), but in Rachel's case, it feels more like she's emulating the same edgelord energy of her "boss babe" Persephone - if you don't love every part of her and her work regardless of its genuine flaws, no matter how easy said flaws would be to fix, then you should just shut up and read her work and/or pay for it anyways because she should be allowed to do whatever she wants and if you don't like it, then you're an insensitive ass.

seems like I'll have to try and dissect Omocat's motivational speech myself because clearly no one seems to believe the people who actually worked with her for some reason
here goes nothing
Tumblr media
"In a sense, [burn out] makes you lazy and unproductive."
IMO, starting off your Motivational™ speech by falsely equating burn out with being lazy is quite the huge red flag.
"I can vouch that you are all, for the most part, nice people."
Note the unusually passive-aggressive "for the most part".
Tumblr media
"If you find yourself not being able to focus or that your productivity is getting really slow, it's probably time to take a break."
Which is why you suddenly became "uncomfortable" with the prospect of having to pay MelonKid royalities four days before the game's launch after they have overworked themselves to get your game out and took a break.
Makes sense.
By the way, how do people explain this, then?
Tumblr media
"Things like working quickly and efficiently are like. What you're supposed to do."
idk about people who side with Omocat but to me, it seems that overworking themselves is what Omocat expects of her employees. and to me, that seems kinda shitty
Tumblr media
"Instead of thinking of things that I should have or deserve, think of all the things you already have."
This is quite literally Cartoon Evil Corporation-tier rhetoric. bruh
"Think of deadlines as a demon you have to continually give nourishment and sacrifice to or else it will destroy our game. And every time you work on the game, finish something, you're saying fuck you to that demon."
What in the actual fuck are you talking about. Is that supposed to be motivational?
Also... how is giving this hypothetical "demon" nourishment saying "fuck you" to it? what a brilliant metaphor
"Something you can all use is I get to work with my friends on a video game, which I think is pretty cool."
girl these are not your friends you're discussing headcanons about your favorite fictional characters with in the wee hours of the night. these are your employees, and I think there's a pretty big difference between the two. the fact that some of them may have a certain amount of passion for the work they're helping to shape is undeniable, but I'd also wager that your employees expect to be compensated for their work. they're not doing all that shit for high-fives and pats on the back from you
and given that a member of the dev team who sided with Omocat was apparently perfectly willing to call MelonKid, allegedly one of their own "friends", a "demon", I have to question just how "friendly" the dev teem actually was with each other
"I believe that this game has to be potential to be something really great. And new, and fresh, and even classic."
Black Space is Yume Nikki with the serial numbers filed off. The entire plot twist is Silent Hill 2 with the serial numbers filed off. There are multiple indie RPGs that have executed the plot beats (and, in some cases, the general premise) OMORI features way better than OMORI itself did.
With all due respect, your game ain't shit.
Tumblr media
"You are here and you believe in OMORI, a game that is full of thoughtfulness and meaning for its creators and for its audience."
1) Ah yes, isn't trivializing the act of suicide into a gameplay mechanic (that is required for progression) and setting the main protagonist's final suicide in the bad ending to a pop song just so Thoughtful™ and Meaningful™? Fuck off
2) Whether your work is actually thoughtful and meaningful isn't really up to you. You don't get to decide how your audience reacts to your work.

Hey, uh, about the "retcons" in Overwatch's story, do you know which ones are genuine retcons and which ones are additional lore added into the story?
That's a good question, because I've been in this fandom for 6 years and I've seen a lot of people call things retcons that were really just lore reveals that went against fanon. Like for example, when Moira was introduced to the game, a lot of people were saying that it retconned Mercy being the creator of Reaper, when that's not true--a lot of people headcanoned the idea of "Mercy created Reaper" into fanon because Reaper had an elimination line for Mercy that said, "Don't forget, this is all your fault" but it was also never clear if that was an elimination line he had for Overwatch members in general, or if that was referring to something else, or if it was just a taunt. In any case, there simply weren't enough details on Reaper's condition before for Moira's addition to the cast and her corresponding lore of giving Reaper his abilities to call Moira's entry into the lore a retcon. (Also it's just fucking dumb to saddle literally every medical science thing Overwatch was up to onto Mercy I mean come on, people.)
Reaper having a family? Also definitely not a retcon, we see him stalking what is presumably his son and his family in the Christmas "Reflections" comic way back in 2016--and his family is mentioned again in Ana's "Bastet" short story.
Is the Cassidy Name change a retcon? I mean there had been hints at Cassidy using pseudonyms before in certain voice lines and also in the "Joel Morricone"/"My name's not Joel" bit with Sombra. But anyway I think the meta factor of not wanting to associate a fan favorite character with a predatory Blizzard employee is justifiable enough to just... hand wave the name change. I mean they still have the old name on his "Trainhopper" comic so I guess the Pseudonym lore bit is just there so they don't need to worry about changing it back in older media---but also that just shows that Blizz is lazy as hell because if I can edit and replace over a 1000 mentions of Cassidy's old name in my 300k+ word main fic continuity, I'm pretty sure they can edit a 10 page comic.
I feel like they've also always been a bit iffy on the whole status of God AI's, particularly Anubis. Like the lore says "Anubis and other god programs were quarantined in Egypt" but we never hear anything about any other God AI and it's Anubis that kicked off the omnic crisis, apparently, But I'll have to read the Sojourn novel to be clear.
For me the most egregious and clear retcon is the changes they made to Widow in what is clearly a hamfisted attempt to give her more 'agency.' In the previous lore, as we see in Ana's comic "Legacy," Overwatch thought Amélie Lacroix was either kidnapped again or dead following the death of Gérard LaCroix. She disappeared off the face of the earth (presumably doing super secret assassinations for Talon) and basically didn't appear again until she put Ana's eye out. In Widowmaker's new bio, which came out with Overwatch 2, they say that the police were pursuing Amélie as a suspect in Gérard's death and Amélie willingly went to Talon because she had nowhere else to go and quote, "Killing Gérard made her feel alive." Like, when you're being pursued by the cops, and you've literally already been brainwashed to kill your husband, I don't think there's actual agency there.
For me the old Widow backstory was a lot better because it made her scarier and more nuanced as a character, it made the stakes feel higher in the universe, and it doesn't make the timeline confusing with what Moira was up to at the time. And also Widowmaker taking out Ana's eye is vital to Ana's character because Amélie is part of the body of Overwatch's failures. All of Ana's thoughts leading up to the point where Widowmaker takes her eye out indicate how Talon has been in Overwatch's blind spot, both figuratively and literally. So all around it's just kind of a dumb choice that turned a genuinely eerie character who partially represents the failures and vulnerabilities of Overwatch into a boring generic Femme Fatale.
But yeah anyway I would say, compare the new Overwatch 2 bios to the old comics and kind of make your own judgments from there.

Patches knocking the Admin’s office door and hears Krulu and Admin having “quality time” with each other
[Rsrsrs, pervy little voyeur wishes it was that simple... Female Admin.]
(Minors dni)
Where are you?
Patches has sent you several texts already to drop by the lab floor. The dullahan is swarmed with problem bobbles today, and the horrid little things are wreaking havoc upon his work place. If Admin could just drop by and take at least a fifth of them off his hands, back to the other floors, things would be so much smoother.
He has deadlines, for fuck's sake! Orders that Nebul just dumped on his desk, fat stacks of them. There's no reason he should be babysitting these pesky little things more time than necessary. It's not even that Patches hates the toys, no no, he partially designed them himself- Of course he likes them. In small doses. That being said, it's about time the fixed ones leave and you're the one in charge of taking them away.
The green monster understands today is a busy work day, a very prestigious wendigo has ordered a large party floor for himself and an absurd amount of what Patches guesses must either be friends or coworkers, he has no idea. You're probably helping everyone else get food and drinks in there, handing out bobbles like candy for the sickfucks. But come on now, it's been hours, and Patches needs a merciful break. Besides, you always text him warnings when you're late. Or when you can't show up at the lab. What if something happened?
What the fuck are you talking about Patches?! The human has a god in her, she's as safe as she'll ever be!
But still... Who knows? Well, you have to be somewhere. It's about time the dullahan gets off his ass and goes sniffing. It's when a pencil case goes flying across the room hard enough to knock his hat off that Patches erupts.
" ENOUGH! " He bellows, sockets extinguished in fury. The commotion of small pitch black bodies halts immediately. Some of them fall off the desks in shock. " You're going to stay stock still until I come back or else I'll call Vinnel here and let him flay you all. "
That gets them quiet. Collective, desperate nodding ensues. And with that, the monster picks up his hat before leaving.
His best bet is the party floor. Most of the staff is there, by all means, you might be too. But it's overcrowded. It's loud, and stuffed and the rave lights will blind him, probably filthy too by now- Patches can feel the headache forming and swiftly avoids that button on the elevator. No... The monster's other option is to go directly all the way to the lowest floor, where his boss lies. It's generally a terrible idea to bother Krulu without good reason. But, even if it sounds lazy, not being able to contact his vessel probably counts as a good enough reason to keep his head on his shoulders and not have to enter the party floor.
Yes, good enough. It'll do.
With that, Patches presses the very last button available on the elevator's long selection of destinations. Said button only reacts to the press of very specific staff members, himself included. A few moments of processing pass before the structure begins its swift descent. Patches is unbothered by the jarring speeds by now, but he does still think it's quite poetic. It's as if he's descending to the lowest ring of Hell, some real Dante's Inferno shit. The dullahan wonders if the higher did that on purpose, to staunchly contradict everything his kin stands for- Aiming low as opposed to reaching for the sky. Krulu loves symbolism, his mockery is in the details after all...
It takes a while before the elevator doors open, which the green monster finds odd- Especially when there's no characteristic *ding* to announce his arrival. Huh... Whatever. This floor is constantly changing layout, at the will of its creator of course. Sometimes it is a featureless pit devoid of light, other times it's a jungle of red and purple and black writhing masses he has no name for. Today, it's a long hall with a door at the end. Surprisingly consistent for his master. Sure, there's a bit of a tilt to the floor here and there, but it's the most normal state this floor has ever adopted. With that very ominous note in mind, Patches walks across the thin hall, hearing his own boots clink on the tiled ground. This could just be a tactic to create suspense in visitors, he wouldn't put it past the entity. It's effective.
However, any and all dread creeping up the dullahan's spine ceases when he hears something very peculiar. A high-pitched, breathy noise. Girly, not really distress or shock, and certainly not a noise his higher would make. There's only one female that can enter these grounds, and it's you. You're with Krulu. There, mystery solved, he found you and you're busy. Patches should now go back up to his floor and wait.
But he doesn't want to.
In the back of his head, he already knows damn well what you're up to. That the longer he stays here the more he's sliding his neck on the chopping block. But Patches has always been a bit of a creep, a bit of a freak- Someone that likes pushing his luck if it means getting to be a depraved fuck. And so he gulps, keeps walking towards the mockingly small door at the end of the hall. Something Krulu himself could not walk through, made for his vessel exclusively to push past more than likely. The dullahan's footsteps are muted and his breathing controlled as he reaches the dark wooden door, graced by another erotic whining cry from beyond it.
Fuck, you make the sweetest noises.
He wonders if he should turn the knob. If he's going to reach that far and sink that low, to voyeuristically watch his own boss fuck his coworker. Disgusting. A shudder of pleasure races up Patches' spine at his own degenerate position and his cock jumps in his pants at the images that his mind conjures. Is he going to turn that knob? Yes, yes he is. Will he regret it? Probably.
By the grace of whatever is looking down upon him at this moment, certainly not Krulu who is very much busy right now, the door doesn't creak as it parts. And Patches gets to peek inside unhindered.
This new room has more light in it. It's smaller, for sure. The walls are made of brick and adorned with dark sigils from which several gifts and offerings lie upon. There's shelves containing vials with labels he cannot discern and small containment apparatuses for things he has no words to describe. Patches has never seen this odd room, and he has very little time to study it, because his sight is immediately drawn to the middle of it, where a marbled gray altar lies. Upon it are you and his higher, locked in a lustful stupor.
The monster is given a partial sideways view of Krulu lying down upon its surface, upper set of arms crossed behind his head as the middle one finds purchase in the stone, leaving large indents upon it, and his last one rests possessively on the doughy thighs of his vessel as she rides him slow and sensual. You're not in a rush to get anywhere, hips rolling in mystifying patterns over the higher's engorged cock, mouth parted in a perpetual pleasured expression as you seem to draw intense waves of pleasure. Patches gazes upon the pronounced bump of Krulu's member on your abdomen and throbs, breathing hitching when another one of your soft angelic moans slips out. Briefly tossing a cursory glance at the higher's face, the dullahan sees Krulu with his eyes closed and teeth bared in pleasure, the tip of his yellowish tongue flirting with said sharpened weapons as he hums lowly and applies pressure to sink you further down his cock.
The fat root of him pops inside your already stretched out cunt, ripping a mighty piston from the superior lifeform now buried within you. The scream of animal delight that erupts from you is enough to have Patches lean against the doorframe with bated breath, filthy hand pushing clothing away as he fishes his weeping cock from his tight pants and gives in, curling a sloppy fist around it. You've always been so hot, so frenzied for your higher's cock, Patches knows you're a wild fuck when you want to be- He dreams about having your plump cunt all for himself one day.
Who knows, maybe if the dullahan works hard enough, he thinks while he chokes his own cock like a flustered pervert, his boss may just reward him with your body one day. Krulu certainly likes flaunting you anyway. He dresses you in short skirts and inviting silks, tells you whose buttons to press and how to charm them into compliance.
" Beg me to fill your worthless womb, human. "
Patches jolts at the baritone of the higher's voice. It roars through the entire floor and seeps under his skin, rising waves of heat surely only meant for you. Nonetheless, it still causes the monster to have to swallow down an unflattering keen while his shaft twitches in his grasp. You're not holding up any better.
With one set of hands securing you by the abdomen and another one forcing your legs up as you're bounced like fuckmeat on the higher's slick rod, Patches can only imagine it must be hard to do anything other than drool and spasm hopelessly. Such perfect tits you have.
" Guhh- Please! I- M-More- My worship- My lord! " Every piston rips a plea out of you, Patches' eye-lights follow the lurid back and forth, the dawning of an intense orgasm nearing.
" You want more do you, filthy little lamb? " Krulu snarls out loud at what Patches guesses must have been your walls fluttering around him. The next time he speaks, he sounds much more winded. " Greedy thing. Never once has a lesser hugged my cock tighter than you and your perfect little fucking holes. Your god wants you to take all his seed. You will not disappoint now, will you? "
There's tears running down your cheeks at this point.
" Never! N-Never- Fuck- I need it- Ahn- P-Please my worship! "
And with a force that Patches struggles to understand doesn't break you, Krulu has arched his dark hips and pulled your legs straight down to impale you on his glowing, spurting beast of a cock. The way you sob, scream and mewl with ecstasy has Patches' sockets widening, fixated on the bloat of your tiny body while his god floods you hard enough to almost burst. A blessing in your eyes, the dullahan is sure of it. The way you still seek to keep every drop of the higher's offering inside you, clenching desperately while he brings you both down from the arched pose, is mind-numbingly erotic to the green voyeur.
Even more depraved is seeing Krulu stroke your now plumper belly, pressing down on it slow but hard, this foul grin on his charred face as he makes his poor fleshlight of a vessel grunt and flail- Globs of thick, reflective cum steadily coating both your thighs. Seeing the powerful entity make a couple of sloppy thrusts just to force more out of your shaking form is what sends Patches over the edge.
" Nnhgh-! " The dullahan has to bite his own glove to stifle the gross noise, eye-lights fading completely as his own cock jerks in his hand and his legs tremble. Fuck, he wishes he could have been the one inside you. Part of it, something- Shit, even just getting to touch you while Krulu ruins your insides would be good enough.
Patches huffs and blinks, cheeks burning emerald at the sight of his own cum-soaked fingers, pants ruined as well. Ugh, great, he got the show he wanted like the shameless pervert he is. Better just carefully close the door again and fuck right off before he's cau-
" Dullahan... "
Oh God oh fuck oh shit this is it holy mother of-
An unseen force shoves Patches inside the room mid-panic. The flustered monster quickly fumbles to get his clothes in order and hide his hand, halted by the sound of your amused laughter. He glances up shyly, the lewd look of consideration on your disheveled form makes his already spent dick jump anew. He doesn't even have the mind to start begging for forgiveness as he should be doing right now.
The massive eldritch entity gently lifts your exhausted body off his slowly softening length, Patches can't help but gasp at the way your stretched entrance gapes and twitches, strings of seed still connecting you two. Krulu makes sure he's looking as they shove two bony fingers in your soaked cunt and lick their teeth. A spare claw beckons him.
" Today, you are on cleaning duty. "
Patches can't tell if this is punishment or a reward.

I've been thinking about Edelgard's supposed depth according to the creators, the fact she's meant to both be a cute girl and a brutal dictator in-line with the series past villains.
I feel there is something here. Like, which way is the gap moe supposed to go? Are we supposed to see her as this conqueror only to see she's the cute girl, or is the cute girl the surface and the conqueror what lies underneath? Considering how the game treats the Flame Emperor being unmasked as this major reveal, I'd say it's the latter of the two. We are meant to be taken in by the cute girl lord, especially since Dimitri and Claude are initially assessed as having a hidden darkness and having a fake smile initially. Not to mention Rhea. It would make sense why the devs expected most people to pick the BE's as their route, since Edelgard is not only presented more favorably (though she does drop her views on the other nations if praised after the prologue, a hint of where her character is going) and she's a cute girl that will draw in male players.
The we consider the route split and it's various symbolism. Byleth defaults to Silver Snow, symbolized by the game's own take of Buddhism's banner of victory. The devs even pointed out the importance of Byleth's flag, saying that it was the true Fire Emblem of the game to them symbolizing people coming together to fight for you because they believe in you. This would mean that the player walks the path of Nirvana/Enlightenment, the path of the righteous if you interpret the Safflower/Crimson Flower route as being a path of thorns. Safflower would mean that the game uses attraction to try and ensnare the player into going down this route, with the player being the one to ultimately decide to join her or not. Edelgard is presented as both a temptress, tying into the story behind the banner of victory, as a false messiah considering her signature weapon bears the Crest of Maurice aka the Beast. It's said to be the representing the animal path in the Japanese, the opposite of Enlightenment, while the path of thorns reading would make it out to be a sinful where Byleth was lazy.
Byleth is supposed to fight Edelgard, no matter how painful it might be for them or the player. It's the central conflict the game was designed around, especially it's main musical theme Edge of Dawn. it depicts how Edelgard and Byleth's relationship plays out, Edelgard hoping Byleth will choose to walk beside her only to lie to them and end up as enemies. The music doesn't play in the Flower route, but it's also baked into Apex of the World, Edelgard's final boss theme that also plays in Azure Moon. The musical choices of Engage would also suggest the heroic Emblem Byleth is from the Silver Snow route through the pieces that make up Trial of the Academy, with the other routes being relegated to a DLC Emblem with the three lords.
i also feel that the game questions if the player is turning a blind eye if they join Edelgard. The first part of the game establishes the Flame Emperor as someone helping TWSITD with their acts in order to reap the rewards before being unmasked, with TWSITD saying they're doing these things for her benefit. The idea of the path of the beast would suggest Byleth/the player sides with Edelgard out of ignorance but when the Japanese script has Edelgard being called out by Dimitri for ignoring shit, something she admits to doing in Hopes, it really looks like the game is questioning if the player is doing the same thing.
Seriously, if Edelgard is told to her face that the people who experimented on her did so in order to create a weapon against the Goddess and her children by the person who did the experiments and killed her siblings, saying the nobility did it in order to make a strong emperor to rule over Fodlan after they stopped her father's attempts to centralize power and took it for themselves, that makes her look beyond stupid if she isn't intentionally ignoring the truth.
Really makes the case that Edelgard is initially meant to be seen as the cute girl, with the tyrant being her depth. It's not meant to be a case of "and actually, you discover she's a real sweetheart if you join her." No, Flower is meant to be a route where you didn't do the right thing and moved to stop Edelgard, instead ignoring everything to join her. You ignore who Edelgard actually is, instead focusing on her waifu-status, as well as the reality of what you are really doing.
No wonder the Korean fanbase said "she tricked me" back when it was revealed she was the most hated character there.

You racebend romano but are against racebending spain? Make it make sense
Hi so. That's certainly one way to interpret what I agree with. But let me dive into what I actually believe.
On Racebending Romano
I have been racebending Romano as a character since I was 14. It's something I have spent years doing and put a lot of thought into in order to divert from the racist implications put out by Hima (i.e him stating Romano is violent because of his Arabic blood). I have actively spoken to other people who come from the background I make him from in order to make sure I am doing things as respectfully as possible.
The other thing I want to emphasize is that I actively understand that there is much more nuance within Hetalia in regard to racebending as a result of the relationships between these nations and the ethnicities within them. I am not doing what I do simply because I want to gain something or seem like I'm the most "woke" by diversifying him. I am doing it because of my own interpretations of the character and his history and how he is impacted by it.
I've had more interactions with North African Italians and they are who I have used as my basis of Romano's character and what he represents.
Yes, I also did this because I wanted to feel a bit of myself in the character though I am not North African Italian. That is the decision I made as a person of color and I don't expect everyone to agree with my interpretation of Romano. I don't expect everyone to like him. I simply do this for myself and what brings me joy and it has evolved and developed over the years as a result of interactions and research.
If you've followed me long enough and spoken to me, you know I headcanon all of my Southern Italians to be mixed-race and know that I have been very particular in how I execute that. You also know I don't demand everyone follow my lead. I am one person with my own interpretations and I don't believe everyone has to agree with me or their racist. That would be childish and also just wrong. Not everyone has the same headcanons I do nor is everyone obligated to like what I do.
But the point here is that I am very clear in how Romano is affected by this change to his character and it is crucial to quite a significant amount of my headcanons which revolve around his interactions in Europe as a man who is mixed-race. This is especially clear in how I write his interactions with other nations of color as he branches away from Europe. It's not just a "oh hee hee he's brown now" thing. I have put a lot of thought and effort into making sure he is an in-depth character and that I take into consideration what it means for him to be non-white.
On Racebending Spain
I have been very clear on this blog that the greatest issues I have with people racebending Spain are that people
Treat him like Mexican Lite
Go into this headcanon with ignorance.
My issues are and have always been with the way that people approach this headcanon and the poor executions I have seen. Because not only do a lot of people take cultural bits from various Latin American countries (mostly Mexico in this case) and apply them to Spain, but they then ignore actual racial and ethnic minorities in Spain to use as a basis for this headcanon.
This was especially a significant problem with the earlier Hetalia fandom up into the 2010s. Especially when Vine came into question. People took multiple Vines from Latino creators and inserted Spain into them as the Latino creators. This was done with a lot of David Lopez Vines and I take great issue with that because
Latinos are not our colonizer
It shows laziness when it comes to actually representing Spanish people.
The second point of what I dislike has to do with people doing the opposite of what I stated I do when it comes to Romano.
People do not think about the implications of what they are writing.
I personally dislike seeing Spain as a POC because as someone affected by Spanish Imperialism, I dislike being equated to my colonizer. I dislike seeing the nation that instilled the racist hierarchies that still plague Latin America as a POC. But that is MY personal opinion.
I will never tell another POC, especially if they are from Spain, that they cannot represent themself within their nation. It is not my place to dictate what another POC can or cannot do. Just like I find comfort in POC Romano, someone else might find comfort in POC Spain.
My only gripe after that is when people racebend without considering how that changes the nation's relationships with those around them. Or when people do not consider the political implications of doing so.
Conclusion
In general, I am fine with racebending because I understand it is mainly POC who do it for themselves and most everyone that I see does a lot of extensive research into the way that they represent the nations in question. I have seen a lot of fascinating interpretations and a lot of amazing headcanons that show a deep devotion and dedication to representing different minority groups within these nations.
I do believe racebending within the context of Hetalia is much more nuanced than it would be with other source material. We are handling nations here after all. Many of them would be directly impacted by race changes, which is important to consider when racebending a nation.
I have put a lot of thought into my interpretations of my Southern Italians and have taken these changes into consideration when it comes to writing them. I am cautious with what I do and I do it in order to express a better and more favorable characterization than was offered by canon material.
I have my own personal preferences when it comes to Spain as a character and racebending him. I have a lot of thoughts about it and I won't pretend that I don't. But I also understand that is my personal preference and I cannot use that to speak over other POC who might find something more in racebending him.
Overall, I agree with racebending headcanons and enjoy seeing them when they are done appropriately. However, just like I have my personal preferences about racebending my colonizer, I recognize other people might have their own reservations about me racebending Romano.
It's really simple really. I deliver the respect I expect and move on when I see something I don't like in Hetalia if it is not harming anyone.

Watched Hazbin Hotel. My thoughts:
Note: I would literally rather slather myself in gravy and jump into a pit of lions than read discourse/internet drama, I know there's something controversial about the creator but we're not going to touch on that because I hate drama.
Hazbin is a show that just kinda... is. My girlfriend wanted me to watch it with her, and of course I obliged, given that I love her dearly, but I'm really having trouble forming a definite opinion on it. Did I like it or not? Idk.
The music was really good. I loved almost all of the songs, and they were definitely the best parts of the series. My personal favorites were "Hell's Greatest Dad" and "Out for Love". The scenes with the music went all out and actually made me feel genuine feelings.
The character designs were busy, and looked like a nightmare to animate, but I thought they were fun. They reminded me of some 14 year old edgelord's pet project. I could tell that whoever designed them had a lot of fun and was very passionate about them. The bowties on everyone and the extremely red color pallete were a little much though.
My main grievance with the character designs was Hell's apparent sexual dimorphism. The male characters looked so interesting- take Vox, Husk, Angel, and Zestial for example. They all evoked some kind of vibe, which I really appreciated. The female characters, on the other hand, did not. They all just looked like human women, but maybe just a little bit to the left.
It was kinda boring and lazy character design in my opinion, and it kinda reminded me of boob fish from kids movies- you have to know this character is a girl, so we're making them look like a human woman even thought they're definitely not human at all.
The body diversity thing wasn't much of an issue to me, since most shows don't even bother with fat characters, and if they do, they're just the punchline of a joke. I'd rather not be represented at all than turned into some kind of taboo humor, which, given the way the show treated other topics, like sexuality, would be the likely result.
Plot wise, it seemed to be all over the place. There were moments where I absolutely loved the series, the high points of the series being Charlie and Lucifer's song at the end of episode 5, Charlie pleading her case in heaven, and the whole scene in Cannibal Town (also canonical asexual character, explicitly stated to be so in the episode? Hell yeah!)
Unfortunately, the vast majority of the show seemed to focus on unimportant side tangents, which made everything seem drawn out and contrived.
I don't really have a lot of other thoughts, but here's my closing statements: Hazbin Hotel is really a show that... exists. It had potential- a lot of potential, if it hadn't been so rushed and scattered.
Rating: 6/10

Ok Here’s An Actual TLDR Intro Post
KEEP AN EYE ON THIS POST FOR FUTURE EDITS!
Hi, my name’s Rory 😄 I’m a 24 year old pansexual partnered kinky white cisgender woman (she / her) in the New England area training to become a sex coach (I’m still about 2 years away from finishing this first certification). I’d really like to help out other queer and neurodivergent folks find their full pleasure potential and feel good about the sex they’re having! I’m mostly focused on the scientific and psychological side of sex, rather than any mystical or tantric point of view… but admittedly I am agnostic and like to believe in magic and manifestation 💖. Basically, I have tarot cards, but I’m too lazy to use them!
🚫 DNI if you are: 🚫
— A minor / under 18 years old!!!
Seriously DO NOT interact with adult content creators as a minor… you’re not only putting yourself at risk, you’re also putting the adult at risk too.
Literally anyone else is welcome to interact, I just ask that you be respectful. I only follow, like and reblog posts from people with their age in bio (18+) and after doing the vibe check that they wouldn’t mind my interaction with their content.
👀 What Kind of Stuff You’ll See on This Blog: 👀
— My personal stories about my sexual growth / healing journey. Let’s normalize learning about and embracing our pleasure!
— Sex-positive education and activism :)
— Reblogs of hot stuff related to sexual interests of mine (including taboo stuff like age play, incest, MD/lb, BDSM, somnophilia, dubcon, and noncon… DNI if any of these are a hard no / repulsive for you because I may forget to tag). This may include sexy fan art of my fannish interests if I see it and I do the OP vibe check.
— Fan interests include: LISA, Ted Lasso, Jreg, Danganronpa, Persona 5, Salad Fingers, Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared, The Coffin of Andy & Leyley [and while I’m not really an RPF kinda girl, I also like Formula 1 and Jeremy Clarkson / James May / Richard Hammond].
🤯 My Politics, In Case You Were Wondering (DNI if any of this makes you want to cancel me, but I am open to measured discussion): 🤯
— I support racial justice, LGBT+ rights, disability justice, and the neurodiversity movement. I support transformative justice and I am a prison abolitionist about 99% of the time.
— You can’t control the thoughts in your head or who you’re attracted to. People should not be judged on the basis of their thoughts alone. That being said, I strongly believe that certain attractions are better off (which is to say, safer) explored in fantasy rather than IRL (this includes minor-adult relationships and incest).
— I am Pro Choice but respect Pro Lifers as long as they don’t try to enforce their ideology via the law
— I am COVID vaccinated while being partnered with an unvaccinated person
— I’m kind of post-left these days because I don’t really see a world after capitalism but I think the people can make capital work FOR THEM if they organize with this in mind. Having money is not a sin if you acquired it via your own labor and you strive to use it as ethically as possible.
— I strive to be anti-reactionary in all things except this one: Fuck Trump, I’m never voting for him LMAO. This is also why I’m allergic to most social media because it feeds off reactionary politics.
💖💖💖💖 THANKS FOR READING! 💖💖💖💖 (god this was still probably too much information, I’m really good at that)
