The light within the darkness
Tumblr media
Wilhelmina Venable X reader
Angsty but somewhat fluffy ending. I’m a sucker for angst. Hope you guys enjoy.
Word count- 3409.
Wilhelmina was surprised by you. Perhaps even drawn in by you. You were like no other she had ever encountered before. She was curious about you, but you, just like her, had walls that were not so easily dismantled. She saw small quirks to you. The way your eyes always lingered when an altercation happened in the office, your body tensing and your face holding an unreadable expression.
The way, when it rained, you wouldn’t use an umbrella to go to your car and would just walk at your normal pace, not caring at how wet you got. Or the way when she would insult you, you wouldn’t cry or get anxious the way her previous assistants would. You would just accept the insults she would give you before moving onto your next task.
-
You started as an intern at Kineros Robotics at 20. Slightly younger than her previous interns, yet so much more mature. The first time Wilhelmina had encountered you; you were working under Todd in accounting. Wilhelmina knew of him well, many complaints of his suggestive comments and inappropriate jokes were reported by younger female staff. But Jeff and Mutt had simply told her to dismiss them and although it felt wrong for even her to do, she did so without a question.
It must have been your first week when there was a major mess up down the accounting department and Todd had sent you to go an explain what had happened, warning you of Wilhelmina. You nodded, silent before wandering off. She couldn’t be as bad as the stories had made her out to be.
But as you came to the door of her office, you felt an intense uncomfortable feeling you could not explain. You knocked on the door, waiting for her to call you in before entering.
There she sat, in her chair, a cane at her side and a scowl on her face. Her red hair was up in a tight bun, highlighting her sharp cheekbones and jawline. She was wearing a lilac suit with a white blouse underneath. You were brought back to reality but her speaking.
“Pray, tell me, are you going to announce your presence or are you just going to gape like a fish?” Her cold tone matched with what the others had told you about her and you nodded, not letting her words bother you.
“Ms. Venable, I’m Y/N L/N. Todd from accounting sent me. He told me to explain what has happened.” You responded, your hands at your sides, watching as an irritated expression came to her face.
“Oh? You work for that imbecile? I do hope his brain numbing jokes hasn’t snatched you off your last few braincells.” Her voice hardened with every word she spoke, and you smirked slightly as everything she said was correct. Her eyes caught your smirk. “Do tell me what you find so amusing, Ms. L/N before I make you regret waking up today.”
“Already do, Ms. Venable. However, Todd told me to tell you that the reason this whole mess is going on is because he is experiencing a ‘Technical difficulty’” You air quoted, and Ms. Venable raised her eyebrows surprised by her response and your honesty.
“Oh? And between us, what is the real reason?” Ms. Venable asked, and you smiled, moving your hands to the door.
“Todd may be an asshole, but still is my superior.” You smirked as you left the room, your eyes lingering to hers before pulling the door closed.
She knew then that you were different. You weren’t disrespectful like the others, nor were you stupid. You knew what you could and couldn’t expose.
-
The next encounter was a few weeks later. Of course, you had both passed each other in the hallways but this was different. You were sitting in front of her because Todd had requested you be changed department. He did not specify why but he said it would be more beneficial for you to get experience in another department.
“I would describe it as a pleasure to see you today, but the migraine I have from trying to transfer you to another department says otherwise.” Ms. Venable snarked and rubbed her temples and you just stared at her, you were not quite sure what to say this time, scared of being fired. You needed this job; it was perhaps the most stable one you had in your whole life.
“Well, are you going to explain to me why Todd wants you transferred or are you, once again, going to gape at me like a fish?” Her tone grew harsher, but you didn’t immediately respond. “Well, Miss. L/N, if you’re going to waste my time then—”
You cut her off “Whatever Todd said in that email, I suppose.” Wilhelmina eyed you, before standing.
“Well, I suppose, you could become my assistant on a trial basis. However, my assistants never tend to last long.” Her eyes met your and you nodded before thanking her.
-
Your first week being Wilhelmina’s assistant had been going okay… until today. The delivery that was supposed to happen from the company suppliers didn’t happen and you were stressed, because if you failed this, then you would be out of the door quicker than you could apologize for the mishap. So, you had spent the last hour calling any supplier that could give the same product the same day.
However, unbeknownst to you, Wilhelmina had already received the call from the suppliers letting her know about the failed delivery. Instead of berating you straight away, she decided she would wait for you to come to her.
But as the hours passed, Wilhelmina’s irritation grew. She knew you knew but you avoided her. It was obvious to her now you were like the others, and just as she had picked up the phone to call Jeff and Mutt, you came into the office, with a reddened face and your breath was uneven.
“Ms. Venable, are you busy?” You asked, a nervous undertone in your voice. Wilhelmina smirked, knowing now you had come with your tail in between your legs and now she could finally unleash her wrath.
“What is it you want to tell me, Miss. L/N?” Wilhelmina asked, her eyes looking you up and down. She did enjoy you more than her other assistants and it would be a pity to fire you but you were just like the others.
“A few hours ago, the delivery with our suppliers fell through-“Wilhelmina cut you off, her expression now highlighting her annoyance.
“I am aware. I was made aware Hours ago, and you did not inform me. What were you doing for these past few hours? Looking for excuses to give me? Well, your imbecilic behaviors have cost this company an extreme amount of money. What have you got to say for yourself?” She stood from her desk and approached you, once standing in front of you, her hands rested on her cane.
“I know I should have come to you a lot sooner. But the reason I didn’t was because, I was just on the phone to another supplier. They have the EXACT same product for 33% cheaper. I managed to get a delivery with them tomorrow morning. I know it should have come through today but-“You stopped yourself from speaking any more.
Wilhelmina stood in front of you, with a shocked expression however, just as quickly as it appeared, it disappeared. “How am I supposed to take any word you say as truthful? You could just be saying this and when tomorrow comes, you’ll say this one fell through.”
“Well, the reason I came to you was to get your signature so I could finalize the order. You can look at all the documents.”
Wilhelmina didn’t show you her surprise anymore and instead requested the emails to be sent to her so she could finalize the order you had set up and inform Jeff and Mutt.
-
That was the night when Wilhelmina realized she had an attraction to you. To your brain. But on a Friday night when everyone was leaving the office for the weekend her car would not start. She sighed before getting out and she spotted you approaching her. You must have been her assistant for 3 months now, the longest lasting one and exchanges of first names was now expected.
“Wilhelmina? Are you okay?” You asked, noticing her defeated expression. Her eyes met yours as she shook her head.
“My car won’t start. I don’t know what to do.” She sighed before looking back her car. You moved closer to her.
“It’s too late to do anything about it now, I’ll drive you home and take a look at it tomorrow for you, how’s that?” You asked, moving your hand closer to hers. Wilhelmina sighed once again before looking you in the eyes and nodding. You took the moment to take in the beauty of her chocolate brown eyes and turned around to avoid her seeing you blush.
“My cars just a few lanes over. Come, follow me.” You stated, and began to walk, looking over your shoulder to make sure she was following you. You slowed your pace slightly, so you were now walking next to you and your hands brushed each other’s as you walked together.
As you reached your car, you unlocked it and opened the passenger seat door for her, eyes lingered for a moment too long before she smiled slightly and thanked you. You nodded, getting into the driver’s seat, and beginning out of the car park.
You were nearly at Wilhelmina’s house before you heard her swear under her breath.
“Shit!” was all she whispered, looking frantically in her bag. You looked at her for a second before moving your eyes back to the road.
“What’s wrong?” You asked, slowing the car, and pulling over. Wilhelmina shut her eyes and sighed.
“I left my house keys in my car. Fuck.” There was a frustration in her voice but not the type of frustration you were used to from Wilhelmina. It was also perhaps one of the first time you had seen the woman lose her composure and swear in front of you.
“Do you have a spare outside your house?” You asked, moving your body slightly to look at her, Wilhelmina sighed again before shaking her head. You let out a long breath before finding the only solution you could to this situation. “It’s late already. If we head back to the office, you won’t get home until gone 10. You can stay at mine, and we’ll grab your keys tomorrow while I look at your car.”
Wilhelmina bit her tongue, contemplating demanding you to drive back but decided that this was probably one of the only times you’d spend time out of the office together, so she nodded. “Thank you.”
You started the car engine and began to drive, before looking at her “Don’t worry about it. But I would prefer if you didn’t mention to anyone where I live.”
“I wouldn’t. I’d prefer you didn’t tell anyone I’m staying the night.” Wilhelmina replied, a bit harsher than she intended and you nodded, the rest of journey in silence.
-
When you pulled into your car park, Wilhelmina noticed your flat was in a rougher part of town. You got out of the car and opened Wilhelmina’s door. You noticed how her eyes wandered around the worn-down area but didn’t say anything. You locked your car and wandered to your front door, opening it and allowing her to walk in first before shutting the door behind you and turning the lights on.
You noticed her eyes wandering around the apartment and you raised your eyebrows. “What’s wrong?” You enquired; Wilhelmina’s gaze met yours as she moved to sit down.
“Nothing. It just- not what I expected.” Her honesty threw you and you shook your head feeling yourself growing defensive.
“Excuse me?” You retorted, putting your keys onto the counter, while moving towards the fridge.
“No! I mean, it’s just I thought- I- “You turned back to her and waited for her to finish her sentence. “It’s lovely.”
You smiled at her, finally seeing the humor to the situation. “The place is a piece of shit. But it’s all an intern can pay for so it’s home.”
Wilhelmina looked down at her lap before you poured both of you a glass of water. You passed it to her and sat down next to her.
“I didn’t realize the pay was an intern was that low.” She murmured suddenly, wishing the glass of water was a glass of wine.
“It’s better than what I did before. Plus, it’s steady income, so it doesn’t really matter.” You shrugged. “I’ve lived in worse.”
“You’ve never told me. About you job before this. Or anything about your personal life for that matter” Wilhelmina’s tone was curious and part of you wanted to tell her, but the other part knew that she’d look at you differently for it. You didn’t want to destroy that.
You shrugged your shoulders and crossed your legs on the couch, looking at her with an almost pained expression. It made her want to lean in and take your face into her hands. You didn’t speak and looked down at your hands before taking a sip of your water. “We’ll leave in the morning to sort out your car. I’ll sleep on the couch; you take the bed.”
You shut her out and Wilhelmina, in turn, felt herself wanting to shut you out too. But she thought too much of you to allow that to happen. She wanted you to open up, even if that meant opening up herself.
“I can tell you’ve been through a lot. I see it in the way you tense when someone gets too loud or if someone touches you without asking. Y/N, I don’t want you to think I’d judge you. I know more than anyone how difficult opening up is.”
“I can’t, Wilhelmina. I’m sorry.” You responded another pained expression on your face. Wilhelmina reached out her hand to touch your and you looked up at her not wanting her hand to leave yours.
“I like you, Y/N. More than I’ve ever liked anyone, and I just want to help you. The day you first met me, you said you already regretted waking up. Talk to me, please. Not as your boss, as a friend.”
This was too much for you. Way too much for you. You couldn’t let her see you venerable. You let out a sarcastic laugh.
“I dunno, Wilhelmina, has it ever occurred to you that maybe, just maybe, the reason I tense when someone at work touches me is because I don’t like anyone there?” You were being harsh, it felt so wrong. The sorrowful look on Wilhelmina’s face made you feel a guilt you’ve never felt before but you needed to stay firm. She was being open with you, but you couldn’t allow yourself the same leniency.
“Not even me?” Her face held hurt and you wanted nothing more than to tell her that she was the only person you’d liked that much in a long time, that you felt yourself falling in love with her and you just wanted to kiss her right then and there to make everything go away. Instead, you did what you always did and ruined it.
“I think we should get some sleep.” You muttered. Wilhelmina couldn’t argue. So instead, she just stood, you followed her lead. You gave her some clothes to sleep in, then showed her to your bedroom before turning in for the night.
-
The next morning you drove her to her car, and Wilhelmina pretended not to know that you woke several times the night before, gasping for breath. You pretended that nothing had happened the night before.
When you got to her car, you managed to get it running again. You wished her a good few days off and said you’d see her Monday. Wilhelmina gripped your hand as you turned to walk away and kissed your cheek. You shrugged her off and there was a hurt in her eyes as you left.
It was almost as she expected you to open up right there and then. But you couldn’t.
-
The Monday afterward was different, she was harsher, stricter. Almost as if she had given up on you. You didn’t let her attitude affect you (Correction: tried not). The next day wasn’t much different, harsh words were exchanged and you didn’t understand yet you were somewhat grateful you had managed to push her away. She didn’t deserve to be part of your mess.
It wasn’t until the Wednesday that something had finally changed. Your nightmares were worse the night before and you felt as if you were on the verge of tears the whole day. When Wilhelmina approached your desk, you knew you were done for.
“Ms. L/N, how many times have I told you not to forward calls straight to my office without notifying me first? Are you that much of an imbecile that you can’t even take in simple instruction? I thought you were better than the rest of them, but I must have been wrong. You’re an imbecile. I don’t understand how you can face the day.” Her harsh words and harsh tone were too much. You knew you deserved it for the way you treated her but today was just too much. You couldn’t help the sob that escaped your lips and you stood. You didn’t look up at her, ashamed you were being this venerable around her.
You walked out of the office, tears freely falling and drove home. You didn’t care anymore. You’d ruined everything.
-
That night, there was a knock on your door. Your face was tear streaked but you didn’t care as you opened the door. Wilhelmina saw you and didn’t say a word as she entered, she just shut the door behind her before taking you into her arms. Her cane fell to the floor but neither of you cared and you began to sob hard into her arms. She moved the hair out of your face and guided you to your couch, moving your head into her lap.
You didn’t know how long you both had been sitting like that, with her stroking your hair in silence before you sat up and took her face into your hands.
“I’m sorry. I’m Sorry. I’m sorry.” You repeated, feeling the guilt of everything wash over you. Wilhelmina moved her hands to your face as well.
“Shh. Shh, Y/N. It’s okay. Please, just tell me what’s going on. I want to help you. I-“ Wilhelmina cut herself off and you bit your lip, and Wilhelmina saw you tear streaked face and wished she could take your pain away.
“It’s getting bad again, Mina. So bad. I didn’t realize it at first. Then I met you and were like this light in this darkness and I- I wanted- I wanted you. I wanted to love you. To tell you everything but it’s like anyone I’ve ever told always leaves and I don’t want you to leave, Mina. I love you.” Your voice cracked multiple times as you spoke but Wilhelmina pulled you into her embrace as she stroked your hair.
“Babygirl, I love you too. I’m so sorry I was cruel to you. I didn’t know how to deal with you shutting me out so I was cruel and I apologize so much my babygirl, my darling. But please tell me what I can do to make this go away.”
You pulled back slightly to look back at her. “Please just kiss me, Mina.”
Wilhelmina knew that a kiss wouldn’t make all of this go away but she knew it would comfort you and show her you cared in ways her words couldn’t so she placed her lips to yours and you drew her in like she was the oxygen you needed.
When you both finally pulled away, you clutched Wilhelmina’s hand in yours, afraid she’d disappear if you let go.
“My darling girl, we’ll get through this together.” Wilhelmina stated as she pulled you in for another kiss, and you smiled a small smile, some of the hurt easing because at least now you had Wilhelmina by your side.

You’re the definition of strong
Tumblr media
Wilhemina Venable x Reader
Warnings: a ton of fluff, insecurities (not her back though because I just refuse making that her only trait)
It’s been two months since the leader of the outpost, Wilhemina Venable, and you made your relationship public to everyone in the outpost. It wasn’t a big shock for most of the people for the once so stern leader became soft. Wilhemina Venable became the best leader one could imagine and with your soft spirit by her side the outpost became unbeatable. Wilhemina ruled, still with a strong hand but no violence included, while people came to you whenever their hearts felt heavy. It was a truly beautiful community to live in.
One night at dinner, however, you saw your girlfriend clenching her fist around her fork like she was challenging the piece of metal who would be the strongest, who would stand through the pressure. Your hand slowly made its way to the older woman’s knee, coming to an hold there and tracing small patterns on it trying to losen her up. After a while however you could see the glistening in her eyes. You squeezed once where your hand is still laying still on her knee but when she looked at you your face fell for all that you could see was that old, long forgotten coldness that once graced the woman’s features ever day.
Her head snapped back quickly. “You’re dismissed.” She called out into the crowd even though everyone was still sitting, eating and laughing. When everyone just looked at her in shock, probably also not knowing that cold voice anymore, she added a stern “Now.” that didn’t leave any space to discuss. You retreated your hand slowly, waiting for everyone to leave before looking at her, waiting for her next move patiently. You knew that’s what you would need right now. A lot of patience. After a while just sitting on her chair, staring down her plate she spoke up again. “You are dismissed as well.” You scoffed. “I’m dismissed?” you asked her as if her previous words would have been a joke you tried to understand. Wilhemina just turned her head, looking at you as if she was a hunter and you would be her next prey, just waiting for you to say even more so she would lose her last empathy for you and shot the bullet. After a while of her not answering you cleared your throat remembering your strategy.
Patience.
“I don’t know what’s going on right now Wilhemina but don’t try to shot me out and please stop talking to us like we are your servants.” Her eyes shot to yours with that statement, slowing getting up before towering over you dangerously. You weren’t scared. “I know it’s been a while y/n but you were indeed just my servant so I suggest you to be quiet before I make you one again.” You laid your hand on one of hers that was resting on the table to hold her up in her range. Her words hurt of course but you decided to not give them too much attention because god knows how much you adore that woman. “Minnie,” You started, caressing her hand. “it’s okay. You don’t need to protect yourself from me.” she looked at you a while longer before just slipping into her chair again. Her hand underneath yours started shaking slowly. “What if I will mess up?” She said with a shaky, almost unbearable voice. You continued caressing her hand. “Look at me.” Her watery eyes met yours and you just couldn’t help but cup the cheeks of your distressed lover. “You save our life. Every single day Minnie. You can do it and you know why I know that?” she shook her head. “Because you already do it every single day. We are nothing without you.” You got up kneeling infront of her, now caressing her tensed legs. “Sometimes I feel like I’m not strong enough for this.” She said. “I always wanted to be a leader, a bit more responsibility but this? I wasn’t ready for this. I didn’t ask for this.” You nodded your head understandingly. “I know.” You got up, bending down slightly so your faces were met on the same level. You placed a tender kiss on her lips before cupping her cheeks. “It’s okay to feel that way sometimes. That doesn’t make you weak, that makes you even stronger.” That made her chuckle looking down at her hands. You gave her a confused look. “What is so funny?” She took your hands in hers. “Well petal, then you’re the definition of strong.” You looked at her puzzled before bursting out into laughter, after a while you looked at her puzzled before bursting out into laughter, after a while she joined me. “There it is.” You said between laughing. Now it was her turn to be confused. “That amazing laugh of yours.” She just rolled her eyes, slowly getting up and walked past you.
At the door she stopped. “Come to bed, it’s late.” and so you did but you could swear you saw a slight blush coating her face.

Wilhemina x Fem!Reader
Warning(s): Some conflict? But it gets resolved so...
Summary: You want to get some Halloween decorations for you and your girlfriend’s apartment, but she is not having that at all. But maybe you can convince her some decorations wouldn’t be so bad.
Word Count: 1566
A/n: I wrote angst! It’s not much, but I did it. :) I don’t write a lot of just Wilhemina x Reader, but when I read this sentence prompt I couldn’t stop thinking this is something she would definitely say. So I hope you enjoy!
This sentence prompt is from @lillie-writes (here is the original post)
29. “If you say Halloween one more time-” “You’ll kiss me.”
“Absolutely not.”
That’s your girlfriend’s answer when you ask any question alluding to any kind of decorations for Halloween. “Awe come on. How can you say no to having cute little pumpkins around the house?” You tease, watching as she prepares her morning coffee. The red head stops what she’s doing and looks to you through her elegant, wire-framed glasses. “Easy,” she replies with a smirk, “no.” Then she returns her gaze to her travel mug, placing the cap on before she picks it up and starts to walk towards the front door.
“It wouldn’t be much!” you call out, trailing behind her. “Just a couple things, I promise.” The woman in purple stops, looking in the mirror to make sure every hair is in place and her makeup is flawless. While she does, she replies, “You say it will be only a couple things, but I know you all too well, my dear. We’ll have decorations all over cluttering our apartment and I am not interested.” Well…You bite your lip, knowing it’s true, but pipe up, “But it’s Halloween! It’s like the greatest time of year. Surely some Halloween themed items won’t be horrible. It may even get you in the spirit of Halloween.” Wilhemina finishes slipping her feet into her heels and warns, “If you say Halloween one more time—”
But you cut her off and say, “You’ll kiss me.” Then a giggle escapes your lips as your girlfriend shakes her head and murmurs, “What am I going to do with you?” and her dark lips threaten to curve into a smile. She puts on her lavender coat and takes her briefcase in the hand that doesn’t hold her coffee tumbler.
You open your mouth to plead your case further, but she pecks your lips and softly, but firmly says, “No decorations.” A whimper escapes as she commands you in a low growl and you find your cheeks warming in arousal. But you lower your eyes in submission and nod in understanding. The red head straightens up and says, “I’ll see you tonight.” You look to her and give her a smile before replying, “Love you.” She gives you a reserved smile, already steeling herself up for work. “Love you too.” Wilhemina murmurs before stepping out…
By mid-afternoon, you look to your car keys and the thought runs through your head of just going out and getting a couple things. Would it be that big of a deal? She may not even notice. But you walk away, shaking your head. You would never want to betray her trust like that.
Maybe if you did something, she would change her mind? You pull out your phone and text her, “What if I did something for you? Maybe then we could get some things for Halloween?” Immediately the text says read and you see the three dots, hoping she will think of something. But you let out a groan of frustration when you see her response, “I said no.” You leave that idea behind and text back, “Ok.” Before you begin devising another plan to get your decorations…
At around 4:30, you hear the door unlock and step into the entryway to see Wilhemina entering, but her shoulders are slumped, and lips pulled into a slight frown. Even though you can tell she’s tired, you have to ask one more time. So, as you come up to her and hold out your hands to take her briefcase and coat. Once she hands them off and you say, “I think a couple of pumpkins would look cute right over there—”
“I said no!” Wilhemina growls, making you flinch. Her cheeks flush as she continues, “How many times do I have to tell you we aren’t wasting money on crappy decorations for some stupid holiday!” Your eyes glaze over and your bottom lip trembles, but you decide to let it be and nod in understanding before quietly saying, “I-I’ll let you finish your work and make some dinner.” Then you keep your head bowed and head towards the kitchen.
As soon as Wilhemina sees your glassy eyes and the slight tremor of your bottom lip, she regrets the words that came out of her mouth. But before she can muster up the words to apologize, you’re around the corner. So, she lets out a sigh, disappointed in herself and walks to her office, stuck with the image of your heartbroken face emblazoned on her mind.
You stir the boiling water with noodles floating around and keep an eye on the simmering meat sauce, the cooking helping you calm down. In the end, you don’t cry. Mina was tired and gave you an answer at the beginning of the day. You sometimes forget that your girlfriend is like a skittish cat in a lot of ways and if you poke and prod at her too much she’ll scratch back in defense. Your thoughts get interrupted by the timer going off. So, you dish up the spaghetti on two plates and tell Wilhemina dinner is ready.
The woman in purple enters with a stiffer gait than usual, but you keep quiet, sure she is still annoyed. However, as you eat, you try to lighten the mood by asking, “How was your day, Mina?” She looks down to cut up her noodles as she answers, “Work was worse than usual. My bosses were bothering me all day. But it’s been worse.” Then you both go quiet with only the sounds of your forks and knives conversing with each other. But you still feel the tension between you two, so you clear your throat and say, “Did you—”
But Wilhemina says your name, making you stop and look to her. The red-head’s eyes are softer than usual and her gaze drops. But she forces her eyes to look up to yours before asking in as gentle of a voice as she can, “Are you really wanting to get some Halloween decorations?” While you hear the strain in her voice, you know she’s trying, and it makes you feel warm inside. You swallow and quietly reply, “Y-yes. I would like some.” But your gaze falters and you go back to eating, trying to calm your nerves.
As you do, your girlfriend watches you and finds herself saying, “I was thinking we could go out and buy some decorations after dinner.” Immediately she realizes what she just did and inwardly scolds herself for acting so rashly, but seeing you look to her with wide eyes and a hint of a smile makes her stop. “A-are you sure?” you ask. She nods and quietly says, “What I said earlier—I didn’t mean…what I meant to say—”
You reach out to take Wilhemina’s trembling hand and she looks down before saying, “I’m sorry I hurt you.” You squeeze her hand and intertwine your fingers with her cool ones, knowing how much it took for her to say that. Then you soothe, “I know you didn’t mean to hurt me, honey. I shouldn’t have kept pressuring you so much. That was unfair for me to do.” Her head cautiously lifts, and she looks to you, her eyes soft and unguarded. “I love you.” You murmur, giving her a smile and squeezing her hand in yours. The woman across from you gives a shy smile and replies, “I love you too.” And you notice her whole body looks less tense. So you finish your meal and Wilhemina takes you out to pick out some Halloween decorations…
You let out a sigh of contentment, sitting across Wilhemina’s lap with your left side leaning against her chest. It wasn’t often that she offered to hold you like this, but you love it whenever she does. Everything has a purple glow from the string lights around the room that look like bats--Mina’s choice. Her right hand mindlessly brushes up and down your back as she reads the book in her left hand. You look up to her and feel tempted to kiss her, but also don’t want to disturb her quiet time.
“Do you need something, darling?” She asks, always so observant even as she reads. Your cheeks warm as she gives you a side-eye glance and you reply, “I don’t need something. But I wanted to thank you for taking me out tonight to get decorations. It means a lot to me.” The red head marks her page before setting her book aside. After, her gaze returns to yours and she murmurs, “You’re welcome. I hate to admit this…but the decorations don’t look that bad. In fact they look pretty good.” At that you giggle and snuggle further into her chest. Then you feel your girlfriend’s arms wrap around your middle and she teases, “So are you in the Halloween spirit now? Whatever than means.” You smile and nod, the smell of the pumpkin candle on the side table filling your nose. Wilhemina gives a light kiss to your forehead before softly saying, “Good.”
But she clears her throat and says your name making you look to her. “But if anyone asks, you didn’t get so much as a pumpkin from me.” At that you smile, but assure her, “Of course. My lips are sealed, Miss Venable.” Then you place a kiss on her cheek and you both go quiet, relaxing under the glow of your different lit up decorations.

The gentle thudding of her cane led her down the extravagant staircase of the mansion, her body aching relentlessly from her tossing and turning, her discomfort the night previous. She sighed heavily, thought silently, wondering if Cordelia still contained that horrid mixture of plants that eased her pain, or if she would consider making her more. She would ask later when the coven was not awake, or simply not there, and the blonde worked alone in the greenhouse.
Hearing the usual morning chatting and whispers ghosting from the kitchen, she opted eating breakfast once the mutters dissipated, when she did not have to encounter any of the childish comments or behaviors of the young witches. Instead she would busy herself in the peace and quiet of the downstairs office designed specifically for her upon her arrival.
She nudged the white door with her shoulder, granting her access into the private room before clicking the handle behind her. Inhaling deeply, she relished in the aroma of lavender – another of Cordelia’s stress relieving ideas. Though she could hardly stand the Supreme, she could not argue that she was beneficial from time to time.
As she neared her regal black desk, she noticed the single lilac cross the keyboard of her computer. Confusion furrowed her brows, her fingers reaching for the delicate flower before noticing the minuet note beside it. She hummed, sitting in the comforting, molding chair behind the desk, looking over the cursive written across the small square of paper.
You look beautiful today, the note read, and she wondered whom would’ve left such a pathetic scribble upon her desk, who would’ve snuck into her office for something quite outlandish. She was not one for secret admirers or childish games. No one had seen her that morning, therefore, she concluded, someone was attempting to poke fun at her, her anger heated the blood within her veins.
She quickly tossed the note into the small trashcan beneath the desk, setting the lilac aside to simply start some of her paperwork for the mayor about some celebration for their coven. The thought bored her, but it seemed important to Cordelia, and if she wanted the blonde to leave her alone, she had to do what was asked of her.
Though she buried herself within the task, her mind wandered to the flower and note, stealing most of her focus, truthfully. Her mind wandered to you, to your face, to your laugh, to the kindness in which lingered whenever you left a room. There was no possible way you would’ve left her something. There was no possible way you thought she was beautiful.
Many nights she had fought with her mind for slumber for the thought of your body beside hers haunted every thought she had, the thought of you touching her skin, her thighs, your lips against hers. She indulged in her fantasies those nights, her hand slipping beneath her cotton underwear, pretending it was yours. And she would cry when it was over for you would never feel those things for her, not with her…disability.
Attempting once more to shake you from her mind, she dropped the flower into the trash, forcing herself to complete another serious of specific questions from the mayor. There was no reason to dwindle on something that would never happen, she would never be good enough for you. It pissed her off, it ruined her day, and it made her resent you.
She was thinking of you, again, even though she was working, even though she completed her work, you remained on her mind. With a weighted, quiet sigh of pain and frustration, she stood from her chair in hopes no one would be in the kitchen any longer, hoping Cordelia had started a lesson or the young witches left altogether.
Relying more on her cane today than usual, she began down the corridors to the mentioned room. However, you appeared around the corner, heading toward her with an eager smile on your face. She could feel the animal within her chest livening, awakening, but her jaw tensed, her brows lowering in displeasure.
“Good morning, Miss Venable,” you offered her, running your fingers through your seemingly smooth hair. She frowned, muttering a hello to in response before continuing toward the kitchen she could see out of the corner of her eye. Fingers curled around her free arm, startling her, and she swung her hand in your direction, colliding it with your soft cheek.
She watched in horror as you fell toward the floor, your knees breaking your fall, her face remained stoic, unmoved by her actions. “Don’t fucking touch me,” she gritted between her teeth, glaring down at you, but the butterflies within her reminded her that you were the most precious thing she knew of.
“What the hell?” you retorted, hand running over your swelling cheek. “I was only going to ask if you got the flower this morning.”
She could feel the anchor attached to her heart sinking it within its own cage, and she sighed silently, staring down at you. But she refused to express the pain she caused you contort her face. Instead, she huffed. “Yes, I got it.” Then, she turned her back, continuing in route for a cup of steaming coffee.
Heels stomped against the hardwood approaching her as she stirred the sugar into the black mug. Before glancing away from the twirling steam, she was aware who was nearing her, and she rolled her eyes. “Wilhelmina Venable, what the fuck?” came the far too familiar bite from the Supreme. Even when the blonde was angry, her voice sounded calm. “What are you doing slapping our students?
Y/N Y/L/N just told me she brought you a flower from the garden today, and when she was coming to ask you about receiving it or not, you smacked her across the face. I saw the hand print on her cheek. What were you thinking?”
There was no use in lying to the powerful witch for she was certain her thoughts were heard, her feelings already known, the memory of the incident already displayed within the blonde’s mind. “She startled me,” she stated simply, short and bitter. “It was a mere reflex, Cordelia. Tell our students to keep their hands to themselves.”
“Unbelievable.” The single word remained though the pounding of the heels along the floor began again, fading down the corridors of the mansion. She sighed shakily, wondering when she would be able to see you without thinking of how your curves would fit alongside hers. The smack to the cheek was unmatched to excruciating pain she felt within her chest.
Neglecting the coffee within the sink, she leaned against the counter, facing the doorway toward the staircase. The ghost of your fingers ran along her skin, and she swallowed harshly, wishing she’d never laid a hand on you, though you had startled her. If there remained an inkling of hope you would ever see her the way she say you, she destroyed it with the back of hand.
She perched herself on the edge of the white couch later that day, looking over the blazing fire within the fireplace, the oranges and yellows dancing in the darkness of night. Other than the simple lesson she had given earlier, she was able to avoid the young, foolish witches, more importantly you. During the lesson, she recalled, you refused to look to her, and she could hardly blame you.
However, she wished she was about to avoid looking at you. She found herself glancing at you every few moments, seeing the tinge of anguish within your eyes, noticing what she nearly swore was betrayal flashing across your beautiful features. The realization of her actions taunted her, tensing her muscles, her anger roaring in her words to the other witches.
Now, thinking of how she craved to touch the bruise painting your cheek, to caress it, to kiss it gently and whisper that she would never hurt you, would never intentionally hurt you. She angered herself further for why did she have to think such things? Why couldn’t she simply forget about you or feel toward you the way she did the others? What was so special about you?
For starters, her enemy, her mind began, you were absolutely striking, to her, one of the most naturally beautiful women she had ever seen. Not to mention one of the sexiest, your body calling her name beneath black dress and blouses. One time she had accidentally ran into you in the middle of the night in the kitchen, in only tee shirt and underwear, and in that moment, she craved you more than ever.
You were also the kindest of the young witches, raising your hand politely when you wanted to speak, holding the mansion door for her – and only her – on grocery days. Her mind thought deeper, processing actions it seemed you did absentmindedly, such as buying her coffee whenever the coven wandered into town. She had assumed you pitied her, for you would also sit with her while the others meandered the streets, sipping on your drinks and making small talk.
Small talk she’d always built a wall against, making it hard for you to speak of much other than the weather and the steaming coffee between you. More than once, in those moments, the two of you would sit in silence, but you never left her side, not once. Because you pitied her. You pitied her cane, her back, her.
The rage within her veins settled as she thought of all the ways you pitied her, from the coffee, to the company, to the greetings in the mornings, to checking on her some nights when her pain was bothering her legs, to…the flower. “Oh for fuck’s sake,” she grumbled in realization that you never pitied her, never felt sorry for her.
She stood, cane wobbling slightly as she captured balance, and turned toward the corridor, but what she found was you standing behind the couch, watching her silently. Gasping, clutching her chest, she fell back onto the couch from the startle. “Y/N,” she cursed your name, feeling the familiar anger heating within her, but she forced it away the best she could.
“I’m sorry, Miss Venable,” you muttered, and she noticed your rush around the couch, kneeling in front of her. “I wanted to talk about this morning,” you continued. “I didn’t mean to scare you. I just didn’t want you…I didn’t want you to walk away.”
She could see the tears swelling in the corners of your starry eyes, and her own heart began drowning once more, seeing the agony she had created within you. She forced the tensing away from her jawline, from her face, attempting to offer you the softest gaze she possibly could for she could not allow you to think she hated you. Never could she hate you. She loved you.
“You always walk away from me,” you added, your hand resting on her knee causing her to shutter, her eyes flickering from the sudden touch back to your gaze. “Why do you do that? Did I do something?”
Though your eyes pleaded with her for an answer, desperation ribboning your question, she could not answer, she was not a soft person who allowed others within her mind, within her heart. She had promised herself that never again would she welcome someone some closely to her. Instead, her eyes darted down to her lap focusing on your hand, her mind screaming for her to say anything.
“Please, Venable. I don’t know what I did, and I want to make things right,” she could hear the quivering in your voice. “Look, I don’t know why you hate me. I’ve tried to show you a million times how much you mean to me. I think about you every fucking morning and every single night. I wonder how you’re feeling, how I can make you smile!”
The world around her stilled, the air within her lungs seized, and she dared look at you over the rim of her glasses. She prayed her glance toward you said she felt the same way, she was never going to say it, she knew that to be true. Suddenly, you were kissing her, your lips were as soft as she had dreamed.
She reached for you, running her fingers gently down the bruise across your cheek, feeling your subtle wincing before she retracted her hand, somehow intertwining it with yours still upon her knee.
You pitied her cane. A soft kiss pressed against her now tense jaw. You pitied her back. A kiss upon her shoulder caused her to shutter. You pitied her. You loved her. You always had, she just ignored it, she groaned, thinking of how foolish she was. You loved her all along.

A/N: I’ve wanted to write this for a while, so here it is. The song I used for this one is Bad Ideas by Tessa Violet. Also, ya’ll are gay af
The Outpost had been a nightmare for you. You really hadn’t asked to be here. If you’d had it your way, you would’ve died with the rest of the population during the first blasts. If the government wasn’t interested in your DNA, then you wouldn’t have even been in this mess. Now, your entire life was gone. You were stuck with strangers underground for the rest of eternity.
Everyone had parted their own ways after dinner. Most people didn’t stick around to talk to each other. Some went to wallow. Others went to find their secret lovers. Some just went straight to sleep. Going to your room sounded miserable, so you ended up walking into the lounge room.
When you entered, you looked around and let your fingers run gently across the walls. The small radio softly played the same song over and over again. You’d never been in here by yourself. It was usually packed with the others trying to escape feeling trapped. Tonight, you got lucky. You gazed at all the spines of the books on the huge shelf. All of them were pretty old and extremely dusty. Nothing you were too interested in. Suddenly, you bumped into something. You glanced down for a moment.
A grand piano was in the corner, covered up by a cloth. Your heart skipped a beat. How could this be? Venable never mentioned there being any instruments in the Outpost. A grin spread across your lips. It had been almost a year since you’d seen a piano. Before the apocalypse, you’d perform as a hobby. You could always count on music. Even after the world ended, it seemed that this was still true.
You gently moved the cloth off of the top of the piano and opened the casing covering the keys. Slowly, you sat down on the bench. One of your fingers plucked a random key. The piano sounded a little old, but it was still in tune. You looked behind you to make sure no one was around. Perhaps everyone was asleep now.
You began to play a familiar chord. It was slow, melodic, and had a little bit of a tempo. You let your fingers dance across the keys as you began to play the first song that came to your mind.
“ I hope that you don’t think I’m rude, but I wanna make out with you.
And I’m a little awkward, sure. But I could touch my face to yours.
No one ever called me smooth, but I just wanna see the grooves between your hands, your teeth, oh,
Tell me, do you think about me?”
You were so swept away by the music you were playing that you didn’t even notice someone peering into the room. Venable originally came in to tell you that it was time for bed. She almost interrupted you. When she heard the faint sound of the piano, she paused. The redhead leaned on her cane and remained completely silent. She could feel her heart melt as you sang. It was one of the most beautiful sounds she’d heard in her life.
Venable wasn’t used to seeing you so relaxed. Ever since you got into this place, you made it a point to keep to yourself. You only spoke when you were spoken to. She never had a problem with you, since you kept yourself in line. Though, this was a side of you she’d never seen. Something about how passionate your words were and the way you danced a little to the underlying tempo of the song. Her lips curled into a smile.
As you kept playing, you could remember every note perfectly. You eventually closed your eyes and just allowed yourself to feel the fluidity of the music. Your head started bobbing a little as your voice got slightly louder.
“Bad ideas, aye... I know where they lead.
But I got too many to sleep, and I can’t get enough, no,
I wanna kiss you standing up, oho.
And if tomorrow makes me low, well, it’d be worth it just to know,
‘Cause I can’t get enough, no, I wanna kiss you standing up, oho.”
Venable cleared her throat a little. As much as she wanted to keep watching you, she was on a tight schedule. You jumped at the sound of her and instantly stopped playing. You stood up quickly, closing the piano.
“M-Miss Venable, I... I was just- I didn’t know-” Your cheeks grew hot. If Venable caught someone doing something she didn’t like, she usually killed them. You could hear your heartbeat getting faster in your ears.
Venable kept a smug look on her face. She gradually made her way over to you, her cane hitting the floor as she walked. She finally stopped right in front of where you were standing. Her eyes glanced at the piano, then to you.
“I didn’t know you played, Miss Y/L/N.”
Your body was paralyzed. You weren’t entirely sure what to do.
“I- Uh- Yes, I play.”
She stared you down with cold eyes. This was it. You were most definitely going to be punished by Mead or one of the guards. Your breathing sped up a little as you tried to stay calm.
“I didn’t mean to play. I just missed it so much, and I stumbled upon it. I-I’m sorry, it won’t happen again, Miss Venable.”
“Nonsense.” She began. “The piano has always been open to all of you. None of the others ever seemed interested in it, so I had my guards keep it safe until someone wanted to use it.” She rested one of her hands on your shoulder. “Don’t ever apologize for playing. In fact, you play amazingly well.”
“Oh...” This was all a huge surprise to you. You hadn’t made real conversation with anyone in this dump. Venable was the last person you expected to talk to. Though, you gave her a small smile.
“Thank you, Miss Venable. I used to be an amatuer musician.”
“Nothing about that sounded amatuer. You perform wonderfully.” She replied. There was a long silence between the two of you. Venable gazed at your body, letting her eyes travel up your torso. She was just now realizing that you were more enchanting than ever.
Your face turned bright pink. You could tell that Venable was acting a little strange. “Uh... I um.. I should get to bed.” you muttered.
Venable nodded a little, biting her lower lip. “Off you go, then.”
You curtsied a little to be polite. As you slipped past her, you made sure to keep your head down so she couldn’t see the flustered look on your face. Something about her being so infatuated with you all of a sudden couldn’t help but make you feel smitten.
“Miss Y/L/N?” she called out.
You turned around when you got to the door frame.
“Yes, Miss Venable?”
“Why don’t you play for me more often?”
Your eyes softened. Venable was one of the most strict people you’d ever met. The woman had tortured people with her bare hands. Yet, seeing her vulnerable like this made you forget her scary traits. All you saw now was a gorgeous woman with an adorable grin.
“Of course, Miss Venable.”
“Good... Good.” Venable nodded a little. “I’ll see you in here after dinner tomorrow night.”
“Yes, Miss Venable. Good night.”
“Good night, Miss Y/L/N.”
As you made your way up the stairs and into your room, you could feel butterflies stirring in the pit of your stomach. It was hard to believe that you were starting to crush on the leader of Outpost 3. You couldn’t fight it. You were falling for Venable and you were falling hard.

Request: 6 or 50 with Mina pleaseeeee @paulsonsratched
6. "You should probably go home." “But l'm already home."
50. "I didn't know where else to go."
WARNING: little angsty
Word Count: 900+
A/N: sorry for any mistakes or typos!!
Tumblr media
After all this time, you found yourself outside of a door coated in the prettiest lilac paint you had ever seen. Your hand shakes slightly as you balled them into a fist, mustering all the courage you have to knock on the door. You really wanted to figure out a way back to your home all on your own, but it was raining - and you were so exhausted. Taking a run in the middle of the night wasn’t your brightest idea, but neither was what you were about to do. Standing outside her home already sent your head spinning in a whirlwind of beautifully, sad memories.
The sound of your fist knocking on her door sent a jolt through your body, and then that familiar sound. The one etched in every single person that has ever had the pleasure of being in the same room as Wilhemina Venable. Those cane clicks make your nerves do somersaults the closer they sound to the front door.
She opened the door, and her head peaked out, “Y/n, what in the hell are you doing here at this hour? You're soaked,” she rolled her eyes as she took your hand and pulled you in.
“Why are you here?” she asked as she pushed you further inside.
“I’m s-sorry. I… I didn’t know where else to go. I couldn’t sleep last night, so I decided to go out for a run.” Mina scoffed and was about to open her mouth to say something, but you cut her off, “Yes, I know what you’re thinking, ‘How idiotic can I be to think it’s okay to go out for a run at 11 o’clock at night?’. I’m not sure why I decided to. I was just so restless, those nights have only gotten worse since… well, it doesn’t matter. I just kept running and running, but then it started to rain. Your house was so close, and here I am.”
You turned around to look at Mina, and you saw she was approaching with a pair of dry clothes in her hand, “Here go put these on.”
Reluctantly, you took the clothes from her giving hands, “T-thank you.”
She hummed, “I assume you remember where the bathroom is.”
You huffed and scurried past her into the bathroom to change into her warm, purple sweats. When you found your way back to her living room, she was sitting on her sofa looking at you.
“I..,” you started to say, “Why? Why did you do it, Y/n? Why did you leave? I’ve racked my brain over the last few months trying to figure out where it all went wrong.” Seeing Mina this distraught was a complete shock to you, your entire relationship had been based on the fact that you were the emotional one. She was the heart of stone.
“M-Mina, I,” she cuts you off, “Actually, save it. I think it’s best if you leave.” She stands up with the grace and poise of a queen, and all you want to try to make her understand. You move towards her unwilling to go without talking first; you owe her that much.
“Mina, please hear me,” you grab her hand and she flinches. You let go, but you don’t move away. She relaxes slightly and you take that as a sign to keep talking, “I know it didn’t make sense at the time, and I really just didn’t know how to tell you. I really didn’t want to hurt you,” she scoffs but you continue nonetheless, “but I just didn’t know what to do. I never wanted to leave you, but he made me.” You look down ashamed of your words and past actions. No one should have come between the one you love the most, but you knew how powerful they were.
“What. Do. You. Mean. He?” Wilhemina seethed through her teeth, while her hand clenched on her cane. She had a pretty good idea of who plus the direction this story was headed but she needed to hear it from you. She needed to know what he said to you.
“Jeff.”
“What did he do?!” Mina yells.
“He told me that I changed you and he couldn’t have that.” She looked at you confused, “Jeff and Mutt are so used to having you run that place with an iron fist, and when I came along… they said I softened you. Things around the office changed and Jeff hated it. You didn’t attend to their every need as before and they couldn’t have that. Jeff told me that I needed to end it or he’d fire you. Mutt goes along with everything Jeff says and I felt I had no other choice. You’ve worked too hard to get yourself to where you are at Kineros. All the respect you’ve craved your whole life, you had it there with no exceptions. I couldn’t be the one to take that from you. So, I ended it, and quit. ” Mina growls under her breath, “He won’t get away with this.”
“Mina…,” you look at her ashamed of yourself, “If I could take it back I would. I know I should have just told you. I’m truly sorry.”
“Y/n, I've spent all this time wanting to hate you, but I could never bring myself to. I,” she takes a deep breath, “I love you, Y/n”
“I love you too, Mina.” she pulls you into a tight hug and kisses the top of your head before backing away looking at you seriously, “But I will have my revenge on those two imbeciles.” You laugh at her shenanigans.
Mina smiles while tears gather in her eyes, but she refuses to let them fall. She pulls you into her by your hands, and whispers, “It’s late, you should probably go home.”
“But I’m already home.” she smiles and you giggle as you pull her into the most perfect kiss.

Sleepy Sunday
Wilhemina Venable x Reader
Words: 360
Summary: just you and Wilhemina spending the day in bed cuddling.
Me and my girlfriend are cuddling in our bed while watching a really boring movie so I'm getting super sleepy and Wilhemina realizes it.
"Don't sleep, babe." She playfully says and kisses my cheek.
I laugh in response and adjust myself into her arms to get even more comfortable. She kisses my head and after a few moments of it I black out.
Opening my eyes, I realize the movie was long ago over but we're still laid in the same position. Turning to Wilhemina to face her, I can see she also slept, what makes me giggle lowly to not wake her up. Her hair is messy and her glasses are a little bent on her beautiful face, she's the prettiest like that.
Ceasing my impulses to caress her hair, I just keep laying there observing every little detail of the woman I love. It doesn't take long for her to start making little movements, signing she's about to wake up.
"I thought you told me not to sleep." I playfully giggle and tap the point of her nose.
Wilhemina sighs and softly smiles without opening her eyes yet and I tight our embrace even more.
"If I moved you'd have woken up." She adjusts her glasses before opening her beautiful brown eyes and facing me.
"Yeaah, I'm pretty sure that's the reason." I giggle again and she smiles while rolling her eyes.
"Silly girl." She holds me tight and out of nowhere spreads a big amount of kisses around my face, making me smile like an idiot. "I love you." She says with her face really close to mine, looking straight into my eyes.
"I love you too, my love." I know how much difficult it is for Wilhemina to express her feelings so these words mean even more than what they sound.
Since it's Sunday, it's not really necessary to break our beautiful moment and get out from bed. Wilhemina turns herself so her back is facing the mattress and I rest my head on her chest while one of my hands reaches hers. We intertwine our fingers and she keeps caressing my hand and my head until we both fall asleep again.

My fav Sarah characters and their favorite piece of jewelry (created by me, myself and I since I’m finishing my goldsmith training currently). I tried to color it but messed it up so I hope my description and your imagination is enough 😅
Wilhemina Venable:
Tumblr media
- AMETHYST OF COURSE
- her jewellery of choice would be a pendant
- when she would not feel comfortable she could wear it underneath the neck of her blouses or shirts so she still would know it’s there but wouldn’t feel like she’s showing off
- you chose that piece for her
- that’s why she usually is wearing it with pride
- Wears it EVER. DAY.
- “Can you hand me my pendant y/n?”
- the choice of gold is a solid 18 carats rosé gold
- you chose rosé because you felt like it would look incredible with Wilhelmina’s hair
- And it does!
- the amethyst you chose isn’t the usual very dark and rich purple colour but a very light one
- that makes the amethyst appear almost see through
- the amethyst is known for giving energy and inspiration
- Secretly Wilhemina is incredibly creative especially in drawing but she just shows it to you
- a myth also says that amethysts safe the owner from nightmares which is also pretty fitting for Wilhemina for she gets worked up at night a lot
- It’s the stone of the holy Valentine = February = long lasting love
- “I love you sweet tea.”
Billie Dean Howard:
Tumblr media
- Billie is the queen of pearls
- Her favourite jewellery is a pendants as well
- She got it from her mother
- the gold her mother chose is white gold, classical
- the pearl that is embraced by the 21k gold is a Tahiti pearl
- Tahiti pearls appear grey/blackish
- They’re pretty rare and can just be found on the costs of Tahiti
- one of the darkest pearls costs around 7.350
- Billies mother died when she was pretty young and always used to wear pearls that’s why billie does as well
- “Now you look just like me my little angel.”
- She would just wear that piece of jewellery at the most important occasions for example your wedding
- It would make her feel close to her mother
- “I wish you could be here mom.”
Harriet Hayes:
Tumblr media
- golden ear studs in the shape of a flower
- she got those from her daughter “Flora” which means flower
- a solid 14k yellow gold
- inside are small brilliants
- “They shine as bright as you mom.”
- Flora gave them to her when she moved out
- Harriet always would wear them when she’s worried about her daughter or just feels the need to be close to her
- it’s fits to EVERYTHING so it’s super convenient
- wears it in her free time a lot
- Brags to her friends about it
- “Look what my daughter got me”
Mildred Ratched:
Tumblr media
- hers and Gwens wedding ring
- They had a secret wedding because, well…homosexuality back then.
- That’s also the reason it’s not supposed to look like a typical wedding ring
- The stone is a citrine
- it’s more of a light orange citrin for the rest of the ring is a yellow gold so it separates stone from ring cave
- Citrine = lat. citrus = lemon
- “Just as bitter sweet as you my love!”
- It’s told that the citrine lights up the mood because of its bright colour so people assume it helps with depression and gives the owner a sense of big self consciousness
- “I take you as my wife, for that the sun always shines for you.”

In Tune (Venable x reader): Chapter four
A/N: idk comrades, i have this story planned out since the beginning but i’m still losing grasp of it, it’s starting to escape me. This might not make any sense because nothing makes sense at the moment, reader discretion is advised. I’m not on drugs, my brain is the drug.
Just, here, have this nugget of nonsense, I was feeling guilty for not updating this.
Warnings: more daddy/mommy issues, leave me alone. Derealization a bit? sorta

Of course nothing good could ever last. Not those few nights of sleep or the good mood that you were back on.
Because of the accusations she made you couldn’t help but feel paranoid about everything you did or said. If you were too nice to someone she would take it all wrong, you just couldn’t do that. And about not deserving things, what was the point she was trying to make really? Did she know you weren’t supposed to be there? That couldn’t be it, she would’ve killed you as soon as you stepped in there. Or maybe they didn’t do that because it would take away from the cooperative’s legitness, making a mistake like that. If you weren’t that busy panicking over all that you would have noticed that it was weird how she just knew you didn’t take her offer. Could she have been expecting you? Stayed up waiting for you? Or asked someone?
But then again, those were questions that skipped your mind.
Someone suggested to play truth or dare between the purples, only without the dares because there wasn’t really much you could do. So, in practise it was just a question game, getting to know each other a bit more, what was wrong with that? Everyone had to co-exist, so understanding who you had been before could only do good right? Yeah… trouble was that the person you were before wasn’t really a nice light topic of conversation.
“What did you want to be as a kid?” asked Dinah.
“I just always wanted to prove that I was capable of doing things on my own. Like, being successful on my own. I didn’t feel like my dad’s money should be just that, whatever it was that I was going to be, I wanted people to know that I was worth the things I owned” Coco said.
“Wow Coco, who would’ve thought? You finally said something that makes people sympathise with you.” André retorted, to which she only answered by making him a face.
“I wanted to be a hairdresser from the start. I know what I’m good at.” announced Mr. Gallant.
“Yes you sure did..” said Evie.
Everyone took their turns, Dinah said something inspirational, Timothy said something boring, Evie said something extra, and unfortunately, they didn’t forget to ask you as well. The smart thing to have done was just probably saying you wanted to be a model or an astronaut or a doctor, but of course, you said the truth and made it awfully awkward.
“I… I didn’t want to be anything really. I was terrified of the future, if I dared to dream then I would have to live with the disappointment of my failure. I never really thought I’d make it.”
“Yikes….. Okay things got kinda too deep.” Said Mr. Gallant before Dinah dismissed him and said “Oh but you did, didn’t you? We’re all here still! How wonderful is that? We have been that strong!”
“Well, since we’re on a depressing note already, might as well talk about all our dead loved ones” said Coco.
“Hah loved ones, that’s a funny one” you said.
“What do you mean?” said Timothy.
“Well… no loved ones to account for really”
“Are you serious? What, were you an orphan or something?” asked Coco.
“No, not really” a pause from everyone, expectant on you to go on. “So, my mum died when I was a kid. She was nice. The only nice thing I had really. Then my father was an absolute fucking asshole piece of shit who just kept hating on her for no reason, and he didn’t care about me either, kept me around for the child support money. I left that place as soon as I could. Then I didn’t care much about making friends really, too busy with other things.”
“Wow that was quite the life” Gallant mocked.
“But you’re always so jolly dear, how come?” asked Evie.
“And isn’t that the best cover for a ruined mind?” You answered.
From then on you were not only paranoid, but nostalgic as well. Realising how you had wasted your life away to how bad you felt about yourself. And the irony in that was how now you were wasting the last chance away as well. Every other passage in a book made you cry, everything everyone said was too much. You stopped hanging around the others when it wasn’t mandatory, no one would catch a glimpse of you except during meals and cocktails, and on those occasions you were spaced out for the most part, not really adding to any conversations or cracking dumb jokes anymore.
Your little concerts slowly stopped happening, you just pretended you didn’t see that keyboard anymore. Hell, at one point Coco even stopped commenting on you tired or down you looked, it was the new normal, and it was just uncomfortable to bring up anymore, even for her.
What you didn’t find out until later was that Venable was on the balcony to the music room during the game. Not that your life story would soften her, of course nothing ever could, but the outpost did become even more insufferable than usual after it.
The days had rolled on and on for a while, your nights melting into days, melting into nothing. Waking up tear stained yet again, no clue of what time it was supposed to be, you noticed a small purple leather book that hadn’t been on your table before.
You stumbled your way to it, wondering which of your steps would make it dissolve into the air. But none did. It was right there. And you recognized it. You dreamt with it every night. Or, was it a dream at all?
Or, wasn’t it all a dream?
No, you tried to rub the sleep from your face. You knew the book because it so often stood behind those brown eyes. Eyes that you couldn’t stand to look at, but had somehow been etched into your eyelids. Eyes that went from left to right, then right to left over the pages on your table.
You turned your back to it and went back to sleep, the only thing that made sense, if only for a couple minutes at a time. Your dreams swayed from one to the other with a berry liqueur flavour to them, some clear, some red as blood. And when you woke up there was the blueberry book still.
You opened it, praying answers would drop from it. Whatever God or Goddess you prayed to had been listening apparently, although not entirely. Were they answers? No, maybe it was just another bunch of questions really, but what dropped from the book was a handwritten note.
The offer still stands.

look in my eyes and know i’ll always stay (wilhemina venable x fem!reader)
Tumblr media
for the Sarah Paulson gift exchange! writing this for @babydoux ! I really hope you like it!!!
warnings/tags: TW for some mentions of ableism. some angst, a wedding fic, flashbacks with a kinda enemies-to-lovers vibe. secretly soft mina.
summary: your fiance, mina venable and you are getting ready for your wedding. despite the stress of being a bride, you remember when you first met and why she is the woman you want to spend the rest of your life with.
You missed Mina. You knew that your family and friends were superstitious and thought it would be bad luck for the two of you to see each other today, but you were just so nervous for the wedding, and you were sure she was too. You each always knew how to make the other feel better.
It wasn’t that you had cold feet- no, you knew that Mina was the person you wanted to spend the rest of your life with- but still, the whole idea of getting married was something neither of you thought you wanted until you had been dating a while. You didn’t even think much about it until Mina proposed. You knew you would probably live together for years anyway, and you thought that was enough. But when she looked you in the eyes and asked you to make it official, to marry her, you just couldn’t possibly say no.
You fondly remembered your past with the woman, and remembered that when you met, you weren’t too fond of her at all. Okay, you were, but you would have never admitted it. And for a good reason, too.
Three years ago you'd been working at Kineros Robotics under one flaming red headed purple dragon of a woman, Ms. Venable. To say it was hell would be putting it mildly. The woman was awful to work under. Constant verbal debasing whenever you did something even slightly wrong, threats of being fired if you don't do something fast enough, or even if you did it too fast. You couldn't win with this woman. She ruled, well, ran the place with an iron fist, and absolutely nothing went unnoticed by her.
"(Y/n)? Tell me why I haven't received any packages at all today? Have you been thieving them, hm? I just knew you were nothing but some low-life, good for nothing employee." Your jaw tensed and you looked at her with fire burning in your eyes.
You tried as best as you could to look her in the eyes as you, very calmly, told the woman: “as I have told you several times, Ms. Venable, I have no control over when packages get here, since I’m sadly here with you.” Ms. Venable looked at you, and, although she clearly knew you were right, leaned in, incredibly close, and said:
“You keep talking to me like that, Miss (y/l/n), and you won’t be here much longer.”
You tried not to take a step back, not to let her win, but her proximity to you was too intense- too intoxicating- so you took a half-step back, your cheeks flushing with what you're going to say is embarrassment instead of arousal. She always knew what to say to keep the upper-hand, to make you cave. You averted your gaze, her eyes too intense as they bored into your own.
"Ye- yes, Ms. Venable. It- I-" you stumble out.
“Oh for christ sake, now you have an inability to speak coherent sentences? Really, what do I even keep you around for? Because it's certainly not for conversation or good work practices." She hisses out while rhythmically tapping her cane, each tap sending a shiver down your spine. "Fuck- fuck you" you breathe out quietly
Looking back, you knew you were in love with her even then, despite her coldness towards you (and everyone else). But how could you not be? Knowing the things about her that you know now, it would be hard not to love her. Wearing a fluffy white wedding dress with little purple flowers, waiting to see her again and promise to be with her forever. And she would promise you the same thing.
You had to admit it, Ms. Venable was incredibly attractive. There was something so appealing about that harsh, cold demeanor of hers. And the idea that you could see what was under that. Or... if there really was anything under it. No! This is wrong. She’s your boss! And she’s awful to you! I mean, come on, what did you do to her to make her this much of a bitch? Okay, right, she’s not nice to anyone, but even Jeff and Mutt told you how she targets you, picks apart everything you do.
“So I’m not just crazy?”
“Yeah, she’s like obsessed with you. Sometimes on slower days she’ll watch you if there’s nothing else to do. I can’t even tell sometimes if she’s looking for a reason to rip you a new one or if she’s just... checking you out or something.”
You couldn't help but laugh, a mixture between amusement and shock
"Obsessed? With... with me?" you continued laughing before stopping when you saw that they were serious.
"What's so goddamn special about me anyway? Why would she- why would she spend so much of her supposedly 'precious' time -obsessing- over me?"
“Who knows. She’s... kind of a strange person, if you hadn’t noticed,” added Jeff. “We’ve known each other forever so I guess it doesn’t seem as weird to me.”
Your mind was racing, the Wilhemina fucking Venable was obsessed with you and it made you feel alive. Maybe she was attracted to you too? No! No, she- she wouldn't be. She's too professional to do that. But...why else would she be so damn focused on you? But For the next few days, you kept on the lookout for her, constantly on edge. Things have been kind of slow lately and it turns out that Jeff was right, Mina does take any excuse she can to just watch you. She didn’t even seem menacing, or angry. She was just staring at you with an expression on her face that seemed almost... sad?
You didn’t understand. Why would she look at you like that.
“(Y/n)! Why haven’t you- um...”
“What are you doing, Ms. Venable?”
“I was- I-”
“Hey. It’s okay, you know. I’m not upset with you..”
“Good. You have no reason to be upset, (y/n). Whatever you thought you saw, you’re wrong.”
“Ms. Venable I- I know what I saw. And I like it.”
“You have no idea what you’re talking about, (y/n).”
and Ms. Venable walked away, her cane tapping on the ground quickly.
Your bridesmaids took you to the venue, where your and Mina’s guests and family were waiting for you to get there for the ceremony.
The venue was decorated just the way that you and Mina planned, with shiny white tablecloths and filled with violets and hydrangeas. The setup was beautiful and reminded you of her. The cold and cruel version of her from work, the softer version of her that you know now, any side of Mina just makes you so happy.
You had trouble talking to Mina. She pretended not to hear you whenever you tried to talk to her. You wanted to tell her how you feel, ask to see her after work, but you didn’t know how she’d react. Mina has been an absolute nightmare to every other intern, too, while she ignored you. It got to the point where you became so short-staffed from one intern getting fired and three more quitting that Ms. Venable had no choice but to talk to you.
“You need to pick up some more work due to people quitting. It’s not ideal but it must be done until I can find someone to hire who is not an absolute imbecile and-”
you just- kissed her on the cheek.
Mina looked you up and down. “That was... incredibly inappropriate. You are lucky we cannot afford to lose anyone right now.”
“I’m sorry, Ms. Venable. I wanted to know how you would react because I- I thought you would like it and- but if I made you uncomfortable, I’m so sorry, really...”
“How dare you, (y/n)? I am not some kind of- some kind of experiment- you do not get to just... do things to see how I will react just for your entertainment! Am I nothing but a fucking joke to you?”
“No! Ms. Venable that’s not-”
But she already left, and you had to chase her. Luckily for you, she walked with a cane.
“Ms. Venable, you have to listen to me, that isn’t what I meant at all I- I like you! I think-”
“I don’t believe you, now get out of my sight before I make you.”
“Why- why-”
She grabbed you and tried to shove you out the door.
“Just talk to me! I really mean it!”
“No one has ever just wanted to talk. I’ve never been anything but some kind of... thing for people to poke and prod for their entertainment.”
“Ms. Venable, that’s horrible. I’m so sorry. But that’s not me. I want- I want to know you. The real you.”
“This is impossible, (y/n),” said Ms. Venable, tears starting to well up in her eyes.
“Why would it be impossible?”
It had taken a while to really get Mina to truly trust you. You started going to work together and she took you to her coffee spot and drove you to work. She waited, expecting the jig to be up every day, dreading the day you leave, laughing at her for being stupid enough to really believe you could love her.
But a whole year passed, and the day never came.
She was here! You saw Mina and her family, caught the slightest glimpse of them. She looked stunning in her tailored purple suit, her hair down and pinned out of her face. She looked right into your eyes and smiled softly, and you smiled back.
“Hey! Stop! it’s bad luck, remember?” your sister told you.
“There’s no such thing as bad luck today.”
“Mina!” your voice rang through the halls of Kineros Robotics.
“Guess what! I got the job!”
“So you’re leaving?”
“Well yeah, that was always the plan but we’ll- we’ll still be a couple, you know.”
“You mean it?”
“Yes. I know, you barely have time for life outside of work. And since I’m going to be making more money now and I can afford a nicer place I was thinking.... maybe you and I could move in together?”
“That sounds perfect, (y/n).”
The two of you got an extremely nice one-bedroom apartment together. You both had busy lives but were able to make time for one another. One day, Mina came home from work late an clearly a mess.
“I cannot fucking work for those two braindead goddamn assholes any longer. The way they treat me- the way everyone there treats me- like I’m some kind of robot that exists to fucking serve them- like I don’t have a life of my own-”
“You can quit, you know. I’d support you. And you’re incredibly smart and efficient, I’m sure you could find another job easily. Anyone would treat you better that Mutt and Jeff do and they would be beyond lucky to have you.”
“You remember how I was?”
“Yes, you were mean, but now that I know the full picture I can’t say I blame you. And you were efficient, and you knew how to keep the place running.”
“Okay. I’ll submit my letter of resignation tomorrow.”
Mina insisted on looking for more job opportunities, but you tried to get her to take a break. You spent so much more time together. You went on dates every week, and one night Mina decided to take you to a fancy restaurant
“I am so lucky to have you, (y/n). I never thought my life could be this happy. This... peaceful. I want it to stay like this forever.”
“I do too, Mina.”
Then she got down on one knee and you finally realized what was happening.
“This is real. And I love you. I’ve accepted it, and I’m sorry it took me so long. You are the only one for me,” she took out the ring- “So, (y/n), will you marry me?”
“Yes. I love you, Mina. I’m so ready.”
It was finally time. You went to meet Mina down the aisle and it took everything you had not to break out into a sprint right then and there into her arms.
Then it was time to say your vows, and you had both written your own. You started.
“Mina Venable, you are the most amazing person I have ever known. I commit to be your partner in life, forever. I vow to love you forever, unconditionally. You push me to be a better person every single day. I know that you have fears, and a sensitive side to you that no one but me gets to see, and I will make sure that you will always have me to count on through thick and thin. I love you, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.”
“(Y/f/n), I cannot tell you how long I have been dreaming of this day. My entire life, I didn’t believe I was capable of loving, or of being loved. Everyone always saw me as some kind of freak. Everyone except for you. When I met you, I just fell so much in love. That day you kissed me on the cheek I was heartbroken, because I thought you were just playing with me. But you meant it. This is all real. (Y/n), you are the sweetest, best person I know and you have changed my life forever. I am a better person because of you. It’s scary to really be known by someone, because they could still not like you. But you were so worth the risk. I finally know how I want to spend the rest of my life. I love you, (y/n).”
And then you kissed, exchanged rings, and kissed again, longer this time, as Mina wrapped her free arm around your waist.
You sat down for dinner and your sister and Mina’s father gave speeches. Mina’s father talked all about how strong Mina was to overcome so many challenges that most people will never know. How you and Mina were two very special people who are just so right for each other. And you had to agree. Your girlfriend- er, wife was absolutely perfect for you. Once Mina took the risk of getting to know you, of trusting you, you were able to bring out the absolute best in each other.
Mina was a bit averse to a first dance because of her cane, but you were able to talk her into it. You gave her back some extra support as your song played.
“This is all so hard to believe. You promise you really want to stay with me forever, (y/n)?”
“I promise, Mina.”

Waking up to an empty bed was nothing new for Wilhemina. More nights than not she'd roll over, her arm reaching out searchingly, only to find the space next to her empty. Most nights she'd find you in the living room, stretched out on the couch with a book in your lap or aimlessly pacing around the room until you felt like you were able to sleep.
Sometimes when you were too tired to focus on a book, however not tired enough to sleep, you resorted to tasks that made the redhead chuckle when she found you. Organizing the spice drawer alphabetically only being one example.
Tonight, after searching for you in your whole apartment, she found you sitting on the balcony. you were looking up at the sky, knees tucked under your chin and coffee mug in your hand. The stars were fading and the pink light of the morning was beginning to spread behind the clouds.
Mina carefully moved towards you, not wanting to startle you, but the soft sound of her cane thudding on your carpeted floors giving her presence away. You hastily turned your head in her direction, the baby deer look in your eyes practically making the red heat melt. You features relaxed when you realized it was your girlfriend and you greeted her with a sad smile.
"Can't sleep again, little one?", she asked sympathetically as she placed a hand on your shoulder.
You nodded, "I'm sorry if I woke you"
Wilhemina shook her head, "it's fine"
"What are you doing out here? I expected you to be organizing our refrigerator according to color", she joked.
You let out a sad sigh, "I already did that yesterday"
Silence settled between you two as she glanced down at your face. you were exhausted, mentally, and physically, the pale skin and the dark circles under your eyes worrying your lover.
"I'll make us some tea" she announced, turning around and heading to the kitchen.
The sound of her cane and lack of her presence next to you tore you from your zombie-like state. You shook your head and frowned, "us?"
"The least I can do is keep you company", she called out to you as she made her way to the water boiler.
You jumped up from your spot, following your girlfriend. "You don't have to do that, this is my problem, you should get some sleep", you tried to argue.
"Nonsense", she replied.
You took in a big breath and opened your mouth, ready to convince the redhead to go back to bed, however, the stern look on her face shushed you before you could even utter a word.
You nodded, forcing yourself to accept her kindness, something that wasn't particularly easy for you. Deciding to make yourself useful, you opened the kitchen cabinet, grabbing two mugs as Wilhemina was searching for the tea bags. As your girlfriend was pouring the boiling hot water into the mugs, you sneaked up on her from behind and planted a soft kiss on her cheek. Whispering a soft "thank you" in her ear, you took the mugs into your hand and brought them over to the living room, Wilhemina following behind you.
You stopped and turned your head to the redhead, eyes curiously wide, silently asking where you should take the tea. She pointed to the balcony. "let's watch the sunrise together, little one". You nodded hastily and walked out to the balcony, Wilhemina smiling at your natural submissiveness.
After setting down the mugs on the small table between the two garden chairs, you helped your girlfriend to make herself comfortable. Holding her hand and letting her rest her weight on your shoulder, she managed to sit down without barely any pain. She shot you a grateful smile and you took her cane, putting it somewhere safe where there was no risk of it falling down your balcony.
After sitting down yourself, you took your first sip of the tea and reveled in the taste of your favorite beverage.
You sighed, relaxing your body, "the tea is delicious, you know just how I like it".
Mina laughed at you while she cradled her tea, letting it warm her hands, "yes, chai tea with oat milk, not that hard to remember, dear"
You blushed, a warm feeling spreading through you, yet quite unsure if it was the tea or the love you had for your girlfriend.
Wilhemina called in sick for both of you that day, you wouldn't be able to work properly in the state you were in and she didn't want to leave your side. Most of the people who knew the stoic woman wouldn't've recognized this behavior from her, but you brought out the most genuine gentleness in her, and the only thing that felt intuitive for her at this moment was to stay by your side.
Weather-wise it was a typical summer morning, the comfortably high temperature feeling like a warm hug from nature. You laid your head on the redhead's shoulder and she brushed her lips against your forehead. You looked up at the woman you loved and whispered "thank you". She met your gratitude with a simple nod, accompanied by a loving smile as she extended her arm and placed it around you, goosebumps appearing under her touch. You both turned your heads back to the sunrise, beautiful colors painting the sky as you basked in the happiness that a simple and peaceful morning with your person could bring.

...Hey 😅 Long time no post. I wanted my first post to be a fic, but tbh a lot has happened in my life since January and I’m still trying to sort things out. I’m sorry if that disappoints you and understand your frustration at the lack of content. But I want to put out things I’m proud of and I need more time.
I did think about something that would be fun although I don’t know if anyone would be interested. I’m not sure if people still do this, but I remember there were certain blogs where if you send a little about yourself they’ll ship you with a certain character in a fandom. So I thought I could do that with Sarah Paulson characters. If you are interested in that sort of thing I’ll open up the submit a post feature so your entry can be longer. And here are just a couple of helpful hints to get more specific results:
Include hobbies/interests, hopes for the future, small quirks you have, favorite things (food, drinks, animals, etc.)
If you feel comfortable describe yourself a little. But don’t share private info or anything you aren’t comfortable with. This is only for fun so if you just want a general ship that’s fine. It’s only if you want to describe for example your eye color, hair color, distinctive features, etc. But within your comfort zone.
And finally if you would like NSFW aspects please clarify in your submission. My assumption will be that unless explicitly stated otherwise the description will be sfw.
If that interests you please feel free to interact. I have missed interacting on here and if I haven’t responded know I’ve read your kind words and it means a lot. Sending lots of love to you all 💖

Tonight we can jump in, Fall into something
Part 2 of You got my heart beating in this bar
WARNING: Smut, angst
Word Count: 2.6 k
A/N: this is a collaboration part 2 of our Xandra fic with the one and only @twistedpoeticjustice!! i loved writing with you, lena. and i can't wait to write many more! she did most of it so don't let her lie to you also we combined our taglists, so don’t be confused as to why i tagged some of you when you’re not even on my taglist hehe
also, we tried to combine our NSFW taglist
title: i don't know about you - chris lane
Tumblr media
The question surprised you. You knew that Xandra was direct and flirty but you didn’t expect her to ask you this question tonight. So you hesitated, nervously biting your bottom lip as you thought about the correct answer to her rather simple question. Xandra smiled at you and you felt your cheeks blush. “You know what, sugar, let’s just drive to my place– it’s nearby.”
Xandra reached around you to open the passenger side door to her BMW and motions for you to slide inside, and you followed her lead. She closed to the door behind you and strutted her way to the driver’s side. Xandra slithered inside the car in the sexiest way ever possible. She was like a woman from another ethereal planet, no way her perfection came from the very world you are a part of - she was almost like an angel and a devil all mixed together in the most delightful, sinful way.
As the car took off from the car park, Xandra looked over at you in the most delicious way and you felt chills ignite from within. But your nerves were slowly peeking through the veil of desire surrounding your being. Her hand was suddenly on your thigh and it broke you from your thoughts. She was rubbing soothing circle patterns and your nervousness started to break, “Y/n, I can take you home if you really want me to…”
“No, I want t-this. I want you,” you said back to her as your body finally completely relaxed into her touch.
Her presence around you was undeniably soothing to your soul. You felt a comfort around her that you had never felt with any other person you’ve known except one, but that was a fantasy you long had pushed from your mind. Xandra’s car came to a complete stop in the driveway outside the most beautiful home you had ever seen.
“We’re here, sugar,” Xandra winked before she got out of the car and walked to your side to let you out. She was so chivalrous in a world where chivalry was dead and gone. Her hand reached out for yours as she pulled you up, and as she closed the car door she backed you into it. Her hot breath against your neck - a few delicate kisses laid before she took your hand and led you into her home.
“Come on now,” Xandra’s low voice echoed through the quiet and dark night as you followed the blonde to her front door. She opened the door and stepped aside so that you were the first to enter her house. You took a moment to look around and take everything in. She actually had a really good sense for interior design. Everything seemed rather quaint and not as flashy as you had imagined. It was all very put together and you immediately felt at home even though it was the first time you were here.
The older woman didn’t let you look for too long though as she grabbed your hand and already led you to the kitchen. “Do you want some water?” She didn’t even wait for your answer as she took a glass from a shelf above the sink and filled it with tap water. As she turned around you nodded, taking the glass out of her hands with a whispered “thank you”. You almost choked on the water as Xandra suddenly yet gently pushed you against the counter behind you. She didn’t waste any more time as she claimed your lips without any warning. Your mouth instantly opened as your eyes closed and you blindly tried to find the counter to place the glass of water on the edge. As soon as it was out of your hands, they came up to get entangled in Xandra’s blonde hair as she pushed you further into the counter.
As air became necessary you felt the blonde slowly back away. A flirty smirk graced her lips as her eyes studied you again. Her hands, which had been on your cheeks, sunk down to your hips and with a gentle push she picked you up and lifted you on the counter, placing herself between your thighs. You gasped at her action, but it was immediately silenced as she stepped forward.
“You look so beautiful,” she said, sliding her hands up your thighs. “T-thank you,” you replied. You were easy to fluster and you already felt the red spreading across your cheeks. With a smirk Xandra leaned forward and you opened your eyes in surprise as you felt her soft kiss on your neck and not your lips as you had anticipated.
“Shh, relax sweetheart,” she spoke in between kisses, her breath hitting the sensitive skin on your neck causing goosebumps to break out on your entire body. You carefully slid forward, desperate for more contact.
Xandra chuckled and softly pushed some of your hair out of your face and tucked it behind your ear. “Be patient,” she said, amusement swinging in her sensual voice. She leaned forward, pressing her lips against yours in a gentle kiss, but you groaned, grasping the front of her red top in your fists and holding her closer as you deepened the kiss.
You felt Xandra smile into the kiss as she noticed how needy you really were and she immediately slowed down the kiss. She slowly slid her tongue across your lips, slowly pushed it into your mouth as you opened it a little bit, and slowly rubbed your thighs as you moaned into the kiss.
“Here?” you whispered into her mouth as Xandra’s cool hands trailed over your sides and up your thighs under your little black dress.
“Oh god, yes,” she moaned out as she backed away from your lips to place more kisses on your exposed neck. You carefully threw your head back to give her more space to caress your neck. Her hands were still under your dress, her sharp nails tracing over your thighs, which caused you to slide forward again, trying to grind yourself into her thigh, desperate for her touch elsewhere.
“More?” she asked and you nodded in response, too caught up in the moment to form a full response to her simple question. “Lift your hips for me sugar,” she prompted as her fingers hooked under your dress. You did as you were told and your dress was off in no time.
“You look so good,” she praised, her hand slipping in between your thighs spreading them slowly. You gasped when you felt her cold fingers move upwards right to the place where you wanted to feel her most. “Xan,” you whined. She bent down further until her lips were met with the soft skin of your neck once again, sucking slowly which sent a wave of heat and pleasure through your entire body.
“Am I going too fast?” she whispered against your skin but you shook your head. You were anticipating this exact moment the entire evening that you were still in disbelief that this was actually happening right now. “Good,” she added as her fingers finally found your already soaking center. A throaty moan escaped your mouth with the sudden contact of the tip of her acrylics. She slowly started rubbing your clit, moving up and down your soaked center as you desperately tried to push your hips forward in anticipation of even more contact. “So desperate, sugar?” You just nodded, your eyes closed until you felt her grip under your chin making you look up again. “Look at me, sweet one. What do you want?” Her voice was even lower than before, her eyes almost black and as she looked at you the image of a devil mixed with an angel came back to your mind.
“I… please Xanny… more,” you let out, your breath strangled and throaty. A chuckle escaped Xandra’s throat as she returned her attention to your center. “So good, sugar. Since you asked so nicely, you will get what you want. Look at me.”
Your eyes locked with hers, Xandra spread your legs a little bit wider and you were already quivering as Xandra carefully pressed two fingers into your body, bending them slightly which caused another groan to escape your mouth. The acrylics scratched the inside of your walls ever so slightly, which sent another wave of pleasure through your body, causing you to want even more of her.
“Shh, sugar, I’ve got you,” she whispered, letting you bury your face in the crook of her neck as she began pushing her fingers into you in a steady rhythm.
“Good girl,” she mumbled into your hair, gently kissing the side of your head as her thumb rubbed your clit. You whimpered, hooking your legs around her waist and pulling her closer as you began bucking your hips in sync with Xandra’s fingers.
As you tried closing your thighs you felt Xan’s strong yet soft grip around them, holding them apart. She curled her fingers inside you at just the right angle, hitting the soft tissue which made you melt. “I’m gonna cum, Xan, please–” you moaned. Your thighs trembled as Xandra helped you reach your high. She slowly let you ride it out and then carefully removed her fingers from your center.
“Stay the night,” she whispered and you smiled shyly as you nodded. “I would love to. I mean.. I wanna see you, too.”
“Oh sugar, you’re about to.” She smirked and lifted you off the counter before she led you through the hallway back to her bedroom. Xan signaled you to sit on the bed and you did as you were told. Once you were sitting on her bed and she started to undress in front of you, you just knew that this was about to be a long night.
The next thing you knew, the sun was creeping into Xandra’s bedroom room warming your face as it woke you up. One big stretch took over your entire body as you turned around in the arms of the gorgeous woman you met last night. She stirred from her slumber when you moved from your spot, “Good morning, sugar,” she said with a yawn, “How did you sleep?”
Before you even got a chance to respond, she gave you a sultry wink. “I slept well, Xanny,” you replied shyly as your nerves returned to your entire body. You pulled the sheets over your chest as you were brought back to reality of the night's events, but Xandra will have no part in that, “Sugar, it’s not like I haven’t seen you… all of you…” She pulled down the covers as her lips attached to your neck. Soft moans released from your mouth but were interrupted by the grumbling of your morning hunger.
Xandra giggled and she broke away from giving you kisses, “I think someone has worked up quite the appetite after last night. What do you say? We go downstairs and I make you some breakfast?”
You nodded shyly. Xandra slid out of bed and headed towards her closet where she pulled out two robes. She handed over one to you and you thanked her shyly as you slipped it on before getting out of bed to follow behind her. When you both entered the kitchen, Xandra immediately walked over to the fridge and started shuffling through her items.
“It looks like I have all the ingredients to make my famous blueberry pancakes. Does that sound good to you, sugar?” she inquired, “Yes, that sounds amazing.”
She grabbed all the ingredients and started mixing everything together and you watched her in awe. This Xandra right in front of you was completely different from the one you had met last night, and it was a welcomed surprise. You felt so at home in her kitchen as Xandra was making you breakfast. Everything just felt right as if you were supposed to be here in the very moment and many more moments after this. She motioned you to come over, breaking you from your thoughts, as she finished mixing the batter, “Will you get some plates out of the cabinet over there?”
“Sure thing,” you said as you walked around her to get all the proper plates and utensils for breakfast. Xandra started pouring the batter in perfect round pancakes on her griddle as you walked over to the table to set it, but just as you finished putting down the plates you heard Xandra’s house phone ring. She rolled her eyes as she walked over to the phone to answer it, “Hello?” You watched as her face scrunched up to whoever is speaking to her on the other end.
She looked at you, “It’s for you.” You gave her a quizzical look as you took the phone out of her hand.
“Hello?”
The voice that came ringing through gave your body chills, “Hello, Miss L/n.”
“H-hello, Miss Venable,” you replied back. “Miss L/n, I need you to come into work today. I know it’s the weekend, but we have an emergency meeting scheduled for next week. We must prepare for it at once.”
“Miss Venable, I am actually in the middle of some-,” you started to say but she cut you off, “Miss L/n, I don’t think you understand. I wasn’t asking you. I was telling you. If you value your career, I would be at the office in the next half an hour.” The line went dead and your blood ran cold.
“Oh my god, oh my god,” you started chanting as you freaked out. Xandra approached you. “What’s wrong?” Xandra asked as she reached out and held onto your hand as an attempt to calm you down. “My b-boss. She… I… She…,” Xandra rubbed calming circles on your wrist as she tried to help you calm down, “if I’m not in the office in half an hour she is going to fire me. I can’t lose my job, Xan.” She pulled you into a hug, “It’s okay, sugar. Go upstairs and get dressed. I’ll take you to work, okay?”
“But what about breakfast?” you looked into the kitchen and felt horrible that all of this work went to shame. “It’s okay, sugar. I can see how important your job is to you, and I wouldn’t want to jeopardize it. Now go!” She swatted your ass in emphasis, and you giggled as you ran upstairs to get presentable for work. The ride to work was comfortable, you both were giggling along to the radio. Your worries were long forgotten until she pulled into the car park of Kineros Robotics. You suddenly wondered how Miss Venable got Xandra’s number in the first place, but that was a question you wouldn’t be asking because you valued your career… and life. Her car came to a complete stop, “Well, sugar, here we are.”
“Thank you, Xandra. I really enjoyed last night and this morning,” you looked down shyly as memories of the night before floated around in your head, “and I really appreciate you driving me to work.”
“It was no problem, sugar. I hope you have a wonderful day,” Xandra leaned over to kiss you, “I hope to see you again, Y/n.”
“Me too,” you looked around the car and found a spare receipt in Xandra’s cup holder and wrote down your number on the back, and handed it to Xandra, “You can call me if you’d like.”
“I sure will, sugar,” she winked at you and stole one more kiss before you got out of the car, and headed towards the entrance of the building. The closer you got to the door, you could make out a figure standing before the glass. You knew who it was, “H-hello, Miss Venable.”
“Who was that, Miss L/n?” she inquired in her dark, husky voice. She did not look pleased with the scene she watched unfold.
