Day 75 - Jun 5
Since June 1, every day we go to the office walking along Lorimer St towards Nassau Ave.
We usually pass through Night of Joy, a low but nice rooftop close to the border between South and North of Williamsburg. Unfortunately it seems to be the coldest Spring of the last years, so not the best for enjoying rooftops.
Around our new workplace, there are lots of nice and good spots where to have lunch and it’s more pleasing taking a walk around or stroll through McCarren Park. Today we tried Reunion Café, a little but very comfortable place just below the park, walking south on Union Avenue.
Many people come here to have breakfast or lunch, or just some coffee as they work on their computer. There aren’t so many seats, but there are several plugs, wifi and a very beautiful natural light that makes the place very good for working.
I took one of their signature sandwich, filled with goat cheese, blueberries and arugula. It was very good, even though the bread was covered with a little butter glaze to make it crusty. Delicious, but kinda heavy.
I thought that Williamsburg were my favorite neighborhood in New York: so warm, full of beautiful spots and nice corners, plenty of art, music, fashion, good-looking people. Everything in here seems to look charming.
But I hadn’t seen Greenpoint yet.North usually stands for something rigorous and so is this neighborhood upon Williamsburg. Or at least it seems that way to me. I love the mood I find in there: both buildings and streets are different, there is a huge Polish community as Williamsburg is the area of Italian and Latin settlement.
It’s like if life was more authentic in Greenpoint.

Day 68 - May 29
Since we’re going to move to a co-working in Williamsburg, this morning we spent some time around our new place. I’ll talk about it on Monday.
We had a huge brunch at Five Leaves, one of our fav places in Brooklyn.
I remember when we were here for a brunch last October we wondered where we would live during our 3-months experience, not imagining that we just ended up here.
I’m very happy to spend in Williasmburg our last twenty days in New York because it’s like closing a circle.
Ricotta pancakes with honeycumb butter, strawberries, blueberries, bananas and maple syrup.

I'm eating at Pasar Malam in Williamsburg tonight which has pretty much been my goal of the summer but it's the hardest restaurant to get in to so I'm having a little foodie freakout right now eeeeee
