HAIL THE GARMILLONS HAIL OUR LEADER HAIL DESSLER
DESS-LER DESSLER DESSlER DESSLER DESSLER DESS-LER DESSLER DESSlER DESSLER DESSLER DESS-LER DESSLER DESSlER DESSLER DESSLER
Dessler stepped away from the podium, back into the depths of the palace. Propaganda Minister Adelheid Szalabastar greeted him. "Hail." said she. "You wrote an excellent speech." said he. "You're quite the orator. And a speech is only as good as the one who delivers it." Dessler chuckled. "It was no daunting task. Garmillons are such simple creatures. Too easy to please- it was almost a waste of our combined talent." "But don't forget, Abelt; this isn't just for the collective. It's for the shrewder few who may begin to doubt the glory of Garmillas." As they walked, they were joined by Chief of Staff Miesela Celestra. "Chief of Staff." said Szalabastar, saluting and averting her eyes. "Abelt. You're in good health as always. And Adelheid, you look well as well." "Celestra. What a pleasure." Shortly after, the three came upon the doors to the banquet hall. At the door stood two guards, who quickly saluted at the sight of Dessler.
The doors swung open, revealing the way into a simply marvelous, titanic, and exquisite hall. The East wall was entirely glass, allowing a lovely view of Barleras. The west wall, through which Dessler and Szalabastar had entered, had a titanic and beautiful mural painted across it of a Garmillon patriarch (who vaguely resembled Abelt's uncle, Erich nom Dessler) and an Iscändarian matriarch (modeled after Queen Starsha).
The gathered officials applauded, though their applause was notably different from that on Earth. Their applause was a deafening chatter of "Dess-ler, Dessler Dessler Dessler. Dessler, Dessler Dessler Dessler." The "sentences" varied in length, but the first syllable of the first "Dessler" in each was stretched out considerably. Dessler strode across the hall, walking along a long noble azure carpet that stretched from the entrance to a beautiful golden throne toward the East end. The officials, who were gathered at ornate tables adorned with golden accents, continued their rhythmic applause as he made his way towards the head table. By his side were Kess, Szalabastar, Celestra, Talan, and Hyss, all standing.
Dessler sat down and held up his hand, calling for silence. A servant handed him a glass. He took a sip of wine, leaned back, and nodded approvingly, before giving the near-full glass back to the servant to be thrown away.
"Well, let's get on with it."
"Y-Yes, your excellency." stammered the Viceroy, who had rushed everything, organization and planning wise. This was often effective and turned out perfect, though at a great cost to Hyss's mental health and stability. The old Viceroy cleared his throat. "Comrades-- gathered officers, scientists and other important members of noble Garmillon society-- Today we celebrate our 103rd year since the Great Unification, and 103 years of Dessler rule!" "Dess-ler, Dessler, Dessler." piped up the crowd before momentarily quieting down. "Approval ratings are through the roof." added Hyss. "Dess-ler, Dessler, Dessler." responded the crowd. Szalabastar bowed, proud. "And, according to General Histenberger's report, victory continues on into the Lesser Radjendora Galaxy. Those dreadful Gatlanteans never stood a chance." "His-tenberger, Histenberger. Dess-ler, Dessler, Dessler." Histenberger bowed, mild relief on his face at Dessler's apparent approval. "Excellent. And my special entertainment?" inquired Dessler. "What? C-Concubines?" said Hyss, utterly bewildered. Quite a few laughed. Dessler took a moment before doing so. "No, Hyss. The Jarmattu." Dessler corrected, once he decided he had laughed for the appropriate amount of time. "O-Oh! Right!" To say Hyss felt an idiot is not enough. "Uh… General Gör reports that the-the trap will be ready i-in… th-three hours, sir." "Hyss, you're an idiot." "I-Indeed, Leader." agreed Hyss, frightened.
THREE AND A HALF HOURS LATER
Colonel General Garamond Gör stood in the bridge of his flagship, the Görgamecj, watching in excitement as the barbarian ship, Jarmattu, steadily floated into his trap. "Perfect!" chortled he. "Alert Leader Dessler. His entertainment is in order!"
"Er… my Leader?" "What is it, Hyss?" "Gör says he has Jarmattu." Dessler adjusted himself. "Good." He sat upright and straightened out his cape. "Put it on the screen." The lights in the hall faded out, and the buzz of the room died down.
"Now." announced the Supreme Leader. "Comrades. I know your lives and jobs of… managing the lives and jobs of billions of others, it's… all really quite stressful-- especially our beloved Senior Vice Leader Garis Norrop, who manages the entire Lesser Radzjendora Galaxy--" There was some laughter in response to this, as well as scattered chanting or "Nor-rop, Norrop Norrop Norrop," as the great Norrop flushed deep blue, smiled, and bowed-- "And it is my belief you all deserve a moment of rest. So today, I present to you the end of a grand civilization, with the sincere hope of your entertainment. So please, enjoy the show." Applause; then, as Dessler sat back down, the screen slowly lit up, revealing a view of a large alien battleship amid a sea of stars.
"Behold, comrades. The Jarmattu. A marvel from a distant star. Though it comes from a previously uncontacted rock in the Zäl system-- who's natives were still bumbling around their inner four planets when we found them-- this ship carries a highly primitive Gesqtam engine. They seem to have engineered this wave-motion wonder purely out of spite for us. A beautiful testament to the indomitable human spirit." Scattered noises of mild fascination. "But, let's not deny it, soldiers of Garmillas. We all know how boring this is to you all. You desire action, yes?" Dessler stood up, flicking his cape, and smiled. "Let us blow it up." Resounding applause, cheers, and whistling. "DESS-LER, DESSLER DESSLER DESSLER DESSLER!" they cheered, on and on and on…
Dessler raised his hand, signaling for silence. The applause quickly died down. "Thank you, comrades. Now. Scattered around this marvel of defiance are hundreds of remote controlled Dessler Mines, courtesy of our wonderful Dr. Welte Talan.' "Ta-lan, Talan, Talan." muttered the crowd, as Talan bowed. Dessler continued. "These mines, my esteemed colleagues, are no ordinary mines. They are geniusly engineered to be nearly undetectable by radar. Not only that, but even while being nearly undetectable by radar, they also each have a built in propulsion system. Impressive, is it not?"
This was indeed quite impressive. It seemed impossible. How could it have onboard electronics without being detectable by radar? Or how could it maneuver without built in electronics? How could they receive orders with electronics AND something to bend light around it? Murmurs of curiosity and doubt filled the banquet hall. "But just talking about it isn't good enough. Allow us to show you." Yellow dots of various sizes appeared on onscreen, indicating the locations and distance of each mine. A red dot appeared onscreen indicating the position of Jarmattu, and an orange circle followed it indicating a target. Gradually, the mines closer to the camera began to recede, and the mines further off up began to approach, all carefully closing in around the Jarmattu.
Dessler looked on, slightly disappointed. "That's a bit slower than I expected. Mmh. No matter. Comrades, feel free to continue with your conversations and meals, but Hyss. Keep the screen up." "Yes, your excellency." The murmur and clatter of conversation and silverware faded back into existence as the gathered officials turned their attention back to their food and one another. "Perhaps the slow pace will heighten the sense of suspense." proffered Dr. Talan. "My thoughts exactly." improvised Dessler. "It's all about building anticipation for the main event, my dear doctor."
Over the course of the next 20 minutes, more people turned their attention back up to the screen as the mines closed in and tension mounted. Attention shifted when a pinglike tone was heard throughout the hall, indicating the detonation of one of the mines. The Jarmattu had sent a dummy drone out to test waters. "Clever." commented Dessler. "Teron ingenuity at a lesser extent. You'll enjoy what's to come." The Jamattu began firing small anti-aircraft pulse lasers off into the vaccuum, destroying the mines far enough off not to cause a chain reaction and close enough to eliminate real threats. But after about 30 seconds, it stopped. All eyes were now on the screen. The low murmur had turned to anticipatory silence. Another, lower pinglike tone rang out, repeating. An object had just left the Jarmattu. Was it a fighter? No, it was a human and an android, together bearing a large crate. "Thhe babrarians apppear human." observed a simply plastered Agricultural Minister Gelhen. "Many of them are." said Dessler, in reference to the various interstellar breeds of barbarian. "For the most part, they're no different from ourselves." Gelhen laughed at this. "A good jok, yyour exellenc-excelencyy." Dessler grimaced slightly-- slightly enough to be mistaken for a smile by those who did not know him. "It was no joke, my friend. I'm sure if we had a look inside that head of yours, and compared it to that of a Teron, a Jirel, and a Gatlantean, we'd find no difference at all." Gelhen laughed harder, not getting the message. Dessler smiled wider, his eyes fixed on Gelhen like those of a bird of prey.
Meanwhile, the two spacewalkers ventured out, floating to and from each Dessler Mine, attaching something to each one. "Can't we just detonate them and kill those two?" asked Celestra. "I'm afraid not." answered Talan. "You can't detonate individual ones, it's too complicated for that and I produced these on short notice. Blowing them all up at once would render the trap useless, and that, we could do regardless of if there were spacewalkers and have the exact same effect." "Then I have a proposition." stated she. "Have General Gör snipe them with low intensity long range beam weapons." "Unless Gör did it by accident, he seems to have specifically positioned them for a chain reaction, ma'am. It's simply not possible." "Then have him unposition them." Kess said plainly. "They're going to make a joke of your weapon." There was an uncomfortable moment. "That actually… That actually is possible. Your Excellency?" Hmm. Dessler thought for a moment. "Hmm… No, have Gör accelerate the mines. We will outpace them." "Yes, my Leader." said Hyss as Talan winced. "Ah, mm--" vocalized a grimacing Talan. "My Leader, they're closing in at maximum speed already." Dessler closed his eyes, inhaled, waited a second, exhaled, opened them again, and smiled politely. "Thank you, Talan. Your engineering prowess was almost adequate." Talan nodded apologetically. "I'm sorry, your excellency."
But by then. the Jarmattu's spacewalkers had returned to their ship. Suddenly, several-- not all, not even most, but several of the encroaching Dessler Mines began to fly back away from the Jarmattu. Dessler burst out into laughter in response to this. Followed by a frightened and confused Hyss and various other officers desiring to win Dessler's favor. "Hah-That was quite a simple solution. I bid them congratulations," said Dessler, once he was able to, "Though I don't deny I wonder why they've modified so few of them. I believe we should take a moment to appreciate the ingenuity of these creatures. Hail to thee, Terons." Gelhen, struggling to hold himself up against the mixture of laughter and liquor, finally managed to say something like: "An excellentjoke,, sir! ANd how th PRIMITIVes thin kthey've achived somethinng!!, Huzzah to them!!!" Dessler looked over at Gelhen, not disguising his look of anger this time. Gelhen quickly shut up. Seeing the joy fade from the drunk fool's face, Dessler's polite smile returned, and he turned to his comrade Kess. "I wish men like that would learn when to shut up." he whispered. "Would you like me to shut him up, sir?" "You're a saint, Aldous."
Kess stepped away from Dessler, whistled, and pointed. A few Imperial Guard officers joined him as he went to escort Gelhen out of the banquet hall.
"Now then. Let us continue." Looking over at the screen, Talan suddenly gasped and covered his mouth. "Oh, my word." Onscreen, the unmodified mines were being automatically navigated away from the hijacked mines by their built in safety system. The Jarmattu had figured this out, and was using the hijacked mines to push said unmodified mines out of the way, clearing a path to… the Görgamecj.
"What could they possibly be planning?" said a nervous General Gör. And then the Jarmattu's main guns rotated, turning toward the Görgamecj. "Ah-Haha, they-- They can't possibly hit us at this ran--" And with a few flashes of yellow followed by an equal number of thuds, Jarmattu's solid cannonshells did indeed hit them at that range. "E-EMERGENCY GESQTAM JUMP!" cried Gör. And jump they did. Leaving the mines dead in the water without a controller. The screen then went black.
Dessler looked up at the screen, a blank look on his face. Hyss immediately began stammering at an explanation. "Th-That coward, G-Gör, we'll-- we'll sort this out-- the military is under Talan and Zöllick's jurisdiction, I'll have a word with them. B-By the gods. This is… This is t-terrible, I-- I'll have, I'll send for a fleet immediately." "Teron ingenuity, as I said." Dessler was smiling again.
Aldous Kess and his men escorted Gelhen out of the hall. Out of the palace. "I'm TRULY… so sorry." slurred Gelhen, genuinely. "I didn't. know Desslerer wasn't joking. I ,wanted to be entertainining. to him" "I forgive you." said Kess, as they led him out of the upper class district. ",mMy friend… THIS has been a nice… walk, but we're." He paused to swallow, stopping himself from vomiting. "QUIIIIITE far from the palace.. Where are we even GOing???" "It's a surprise." answered Kess. "Ohhh," ohed Gelhen. "Excitingn." They led him into a north-south alley between two brick buildings, and two guards had him face the wall of the eastern one, on which a brown tarp had been set. "Heyy, what are--?"
BANG
But he was interrupted by a bullet passing through his head, spattering blue blood across the tarp. Kess switched out his gloves, tossing the gloves and gun he had used for the deed onto Gelhen's corpse, and donning new ones stowed in his pocket. "Burn this one. He's government. People will look for 'im." Those were orders Kess gave to his men as they took the tarp down from the wall and wrapped it around poor old Dotm Gelhen. "Aye, sir."
WORLD OF STRENGTH WITH HIS BLOOMS AZURE NOBLE IS THE LAND I CALL MY FATHERLAND THUS WE ALL SING THE JOYOUS SONG FOR THE GODS UP ABOVE WHO WILL BRING VICTORY TO OUR BROTHERS INTERSTELLAR: "ALL HAIL THE GARMILLONS GLORY BE TO US ALL FOREVER LONGER"

Why do you like Ikrie? 😉😏
(sorry about the delay, smirky, winky anony-mouse)
..why do I like Ikrie. The question might as well be - what don't I like about Ikrie, or.. why do plants like sunlight. She's warm, her existence nourishes me, she comforts me.
I like her because she's Ikrie.
She takes her fears and doubts and shoves them deep into a glacier crack, together with her grief. She forsakes the ways of her people if they do more harm than good, she's not afraid to ask for help or offer it. She knows the value of shared burdens and past grievances laid to rest.
I don't know. I guess Ikrie (like Aloy and Beta, each in their own ways) represents parts of myself that I've done my best to nourish and grow, and some that I still struggle to come to terms with.
I like that she's her own person, that she knows what she wants and when to take some time to process before she proceeds. I want the best for her because she's been through a lot and she deserves love and rest and calm (and all the excitement and thrill she might want).
I don't know who you are, anony-mouse, but I think it would be easier to understand if you come hang out and ask more specific questions. I promise I don't bite and I'm always happy to chat about my fandom faves. I'd have done more of that lately but a big work project kinda ate up all of my time and energy, and I'm still recovering from that.

Turns Out God Won't Let Me Die Chapter One
Guardian’s hands were sore from gripping the chainsaw, it slipped from his grasp when he was knocked down onto his back. He tried to quickly retrieve it but his body froze when Po’s spider legs positioned above him.
He felt his shoulders and chest yield to the stabbing pain. Guardian tried to scream but his voice wouldn’t come out right. His vision began to dim.
He failed.
He groans, lifting his head up. Guardian is startled that he actually woke up, but what he actually noticed were the screens in front of him. He leans in and recognizes the figures on the screens.
“You have to be kidding me.” The white tubby groans in disbelief.
Why have the sun gods cursed him like this?
What can he even do? Sure it was a chance to stop the ill future, but again, what can he do?
How can he stop Noo-Noo? Should he try to keep his focus completely on the robot?
Choices were very hard for him, but he knows he has to try. He wasn’t just going to sit here and watch the same events unfold.
Guardian takes a deep breath to try to calm his nerves. He searches the screens until he spots the cleaning bot.
He obviously was angrily scolding Tinky Winky for having a ‘sissy’ purse.
The purple child’s ears fold down and he begins to cry. His skin crawls, he never actually has seen this. Admittedly he sometimes accidentally focuses too much on Dipsy and Laa Laa.
Guardian feels himself actually feeling sick when he witnesses Noo Noo turn from scolding to yelling and kicks him.
His ears flinch hearing Tinky cry even more.
The dome door suddenly opens and here comes Po stomping in.
“NOO NOO YOU ROBO BITCH LEAVE MY TINKY ALONE!” Po shouted, stomping her foot down with each word.
Guardian had maybe forgotten Po’s swearing habit she caught from Dipsy.
(Which was funny in a way considering Po is three.)
And how she would be summoned by Tinky’s distress.
Guardian pieced this from a long memory of while watching Dipsy and Laa Laa, Po’s small ears had suddenly shot up. Her antenna glowed and she left the two to run off somewhere.
Now he knew why and where. He wondered if Po actually could really sense when her best friend was in distress. It could just be a coincidence but…
Noo Noo walks away, uncaring of the whole situation, Po comforts Tinky while Guardian focuses on the robot.
It’s really boring watching Noo Noo only clean, he barely could manage to stay awake due to how painfully dull this was.
Suddenly the cleaner was hit by a familiar orange ball.
“I would normally say sorry, but you’re a piece of swiss.” Laa-Laa walked over to retrieve her ball.
Guardian supposed he must have switched over to a different teletubby since he doesn’t remember this either.
Noo-Noo picks it up before she can and goes off in a rant of ‘keep your dumbass ball outside’.
Laa-Laa blankly stares at her captured ball. Guardian could tell her eight year old mind was trying to sort through her options and probably concerned Noo-Noo would pop her favorite toy.
She narrows her green eyes and puts her hands on her hips, glaring up at the tubby robot. He apparently didn’t notice.
She sighed then clapped her hands loudly, “Dipsy!”
The green teletubby rushed into the dome at the same time of Noo-Noo stopping as she said the name of his least favorite teletubby.
“What?” Dipsy complained, he had been in the middle of his jogging.
Laa-Laa points up at the ball.
Dipsy’s reaction to this was to pick up his friend and chuck her up.
Laa-Laa gripped Noo-Noo’s bright red antenna and tugged it as roughly as she could.
The bot swears in pain as he drops the ball and tries to pry her hands away, but she had a surprisingly tight hold for a child.
“Don’t cheesing touch my swissing ball again you piece of swiss!” She yells in her loophole cuss words.
Dipsy laughed while Noo-Noo screamed out for the Announcer.
Guardian almost didn’t recognize the Announcer without the weapons. The robot was a military weapon bot but when Noo-Noo was dangerously close to causing psychological damage to Tinky Winky and Dipsy, the scientists in charge of this experiment reprogrammed a robot to act as a caretaker.
Announcer rushed from the other side of the dome to remove Laa-Laa and her ball. He sets her down.
She rolls her ball out of the dome with Dipsy trailing behind her.
Guardian slapped his cheeks to keep himself awake as night slowly creeped over the mainland.
Noo-Noo didn’t power off like usual. Instead he walked out of the dome and to the side.
Guardian leans forward, curious. Then surprised when the bot pressed the tip of his foot down on something, the ground opened and he descended down.
He got a pit in his stomach when he realized no cameras were down there and there was only one way to find what the bot was doing.
He would have to go outside.

Nanami does not take kindly to jokes. Years of being together and he’s uptight as always. That doesn’t mean you stop trying, especially when you love how mad he gets at you.
It’s innocent, silly, completely unserious. I’m really craving something tonight, followed by suggestive emojis, including the winky face and a particularly phallic vegetable. You grin at your screen when you notice the three dots blinking, indicating that he’s read it and is currently typing a reply. Probably growing hard in his pants just thinking about it, knowing him. Before he can say anything, you send him a selfie of you at the grocery store, holding up two large eggplants, smiling wide at the camera. Eggplant parmesan! The dots flash once more, then disappear immediately, and you crack up in the middle of the produce section when he ends up not responding at all.
Back home, it’s eerily dark inside with all the lights off. You carefully set your groceries on the counter, clicking the switch to illuminate the kitchen. You’re startled when you notice Nanami’s burly silhouette in the living room, back turned towards you, sitting upright on the couch, motionless. He does nothing to acknowledge your presence, worrying you even further. “Honey?” you call out, slowly making your way towards him. His arms are crossed over his chest, bulging out of his sleeves, staring straight ahead with a menacing look on his face. He remains silent, ignoring you.
“Kento,” you say, swallowing hard, nervous at this unusually sinister behavior.
“Thought you were craving something.” His voice is low and husky in his throat. Almost threatening.
You kneel in front of him, leaning on his thighs. “It was a joke, honey.”
Finally, he looks at you, gaze intense from behind his glasses, nostrils flaring as he takes a deep inhale through his nose, exhale out his mouth. “So, you riled me up for no fucking reason then?”
You gulp loudly again, taken aback by his sudden vulgarity, simultaneously aroused. “I’m sorry, Kento.”
“Do you think I’m going to let you get away with this?” He grips your chin, focusing your attention on his lap. “Look how hard I am. Look at what your stupid joke did to me.” His massive erection is strained in his pants. Your pussy throbs, mouth salivating at the sight of it.
He unbuckles his belt and splits his zipper open. “You know what you have to do, don’t you sweetheart?” He shrugs his pants down enough to free his cock, veins protruding on the thick shaft. You nod silently, peering up at him with wide eyes, parting your lips, hungry for him.
“That’s what I thought,” he mutters, stroking himself in his fist, precum oozing from the tip. “Stick out your tongue.” You do, letting it hang from your bottom lip, mouth open.
“Good girl,” he purrs. “So obedient for me.” He swipes his thumb over his cockhead, collecting the precum to smear it onto your tongue. “Swallow. Get a taste of it before you take me.”
You obey, relishing the salty, luscious flavor down your throat, your eyes never leaving his. He smirks, tracing your lips with his thumb, the first hint of softness since you this all started. “I’m going to ruin this mouth. Understand?”
You nod again, panties wet with your arousal. Hoping he doesn’t notice, you reach between your legs, desperate to touch yourself. He catches you, using his foot to swat your arm away. “Ah, ah, ah. You’ll have your turn later.” He loosens the spotted tie on his neck to cover your eyes with it, knotting it tight. “There. Nothing except my cock to occupy this little head of yours.” He guides his cock into your mouth, sliding it along your tongue until he bottoms out. “Now, suck,” he demands, your face pressed to his groin, bottom lip grazing his heavy balls. You bob your head back and forth on him, drool leaking from the sides of your lips, teasing your gag reflex with every solid thrust, swallowing it down every time he hits the back of your throat.
“Fuck, that’s it,” he whispers, cradling your face. “Such a good fucking slut for me.”
After several more strokes, he pulls out of you, cock wet with your saliva, squelching between his fist as he continues to jerk himself off. “On my lap. Come on.” He lends his hand, helping you up while the blindfold remains. You bend over his thighs, in position for a spanking, just as he expects.
He chuckles. “Good girl. You already know that you need to be punished, huh? Always playing these ridiculous pranks on me. I hope you learn your lesson after this.” He slides the belt off his waist, binding your wrists behind your back, shoulders in an uncomfortable stretch as the leather digs into your skin. The need to be touched by him overwhelms you, body tingling with anticipation, pussy aching to be filled.
He pulls your pants down, leaving you only in your panties from the waist down. The first spank sends shivers down your spine, the loud smack bouncing off the walls of the kitchen, flesh prickling from the contact. The second comes almost immediately, surprising you. You whimper, shutting your eyes, clenching your legs together. “Kento.”
A third is delivered, your ass throbbing and swelling against his calloused hand. “What?” he growls, palm ready for a fourth.
“Fuck me,” you whine, jittering on his lap. You can’t take it anymore. You want him. You need him.
“Oh, so you’re giving orders now?” He rolls you on your back, tugging your panties off, exposing your glistening cunt. “That’s not how this works, sweetheart. You know that. I can’t just give you what you want after what you did to me.” He spreads your legs apart, teasing your slit with his fingers, spreading your slick across your swollen clit. “Look how fucking juicy you are. All that because I fucked your throat. Nasty slut.”
You hear him spit, then feel the trickle of his saliva coat your aching bud. He repeats, soaking you in his spittle. He readjusts himself on the couch so that he’s between your legs, licking and slurping your cunt until his chin and nose are glossy. You squirm, knees shaky, already pushed to your limits. His lips surround your clit, sucking on it until it’s puffy in his mouth, tongue flicking it aggressively, pussy fluttering with arousal. You’re overstimulated, core incredibly tight, ready to fucking burst.
“Yeah, that’s it,” he muffles, still slobbering. “Come on my face. Squirt all over this couch. I’m going to fucking embarrass you like you did me, you stupid slut.” You whine his name, gushing for him, rutting your hips against his face, writhing on the cushions damp with your juices.
He rolls you over again, dragging your body until you’re up on your knees, ass up. “I’m going to wreck this pussy. Pound it until you learn your lesson. Got it?”
You nod erratically, ready to be fucked hard and fast. He enters you smoothly, stretching you out until you’re completely full of him, everything so wet and messy between you. He pumps his cock in and out of you, pace increasing the more and more your body yields to him. He fucks you like an animal in heat, railing your cunt like it’s his own personal cock sleeve for him to use and tear apart.
Blindfolded and still bound by the wrists, you begin to grow scared of his carnal behavior. His nails imprint your skin, grip so strong it hurts with every brutal thrust. The guttural growls he emits sound nothing like the Nanami you know. The way he bullies his cock into your tight pussy, so deep and so rough that a cramp develops in your abdomen makes you think that the person fucking you is a complete stranger now. You want your husband back. It takes you a few tries to get it out, but eventually, you do, whimpering, “Makgeolli.”
He doesn’t hear you, so you say it once more, louder this time. “Makgeolli.”
Immediately, it’s as if a switched is flipped. He pulls out, quickly removing the belt and blindfold off you, his tie saturated in tears and sweat. “Hey, hey, hey. Sweetie, I’m here. I’m right here. You’re okay.” He pulls you up on his lap, cradling you in his arms, kissing your sticky forehead, brushing away any of the remaining tears from your eyes.
You relax into his hold, nestling your face into his shoulder, steadying your breathing. He massages your back, pressing soft kisses on your cheek. “I’m sorry, princess. I’m so sorry. I got carried away, I admit it.” His voice is soothing now, familiar and comforting in your ear.
Sniffling, you ask, “Are you mad at me?”
He smiles, nuzzling his nose to yours. “I was never mad to begin with. I just wanted to tease you, but I took it too far. I’m sorry.” He kisses you on the lips, cupping your check in his palm. “Your joke was actually quite funny.”
You giggle softly, running your fingers through his hair, damp with his own perspiration. “At least I got you to finally admit it.”
He gives you another smooch on the forehead, lacing his fingers with yours. “I’ll run us a bath, okay? And then after, we can order pizza and watch a movie. Sound good?”
“Yes. And I’ll help you with this while we’re soaking in the tub. Does that sound good?” You palm his cock, still stiff and wet against his abs.
“Whatever you want, princess.”

alessia russo | make you my problem
sick of her family's endless questions about her dating life, alessia invents a fake girlfriend to get them off her back. unfortunately, now she has to deal with the consequences, which means dealing with you.

alessia stared down at the card in her hand. her eyes flicked over the perfectly printed calligraphy for the hundredth time that day. it was the first time she'd got it out since it had been delivered three months ago, when she'd promptly piled it beneath a stack of bills on the countertop, and tried to ignore it. unfortunately, the solution hadn't magically appeared as she'd hoped it would, and the wedding was fast approaching.
she read the words again, her expression burning lasers into the paper.
formally invited... et cetera et cetera... the wedding of luca russo... so on and so forth... invites alessia russo... and there was the kicker... plus one.
to really rub salt in the wound, her brother luca had scribbled a sharpie winky face next to the last bit, obscuring the ornate lettering with a scruffy, mocking squiggle.
let it be clear, alessia enjoyed her life the way it was. she enjoyed not being tied down by the constraints of someone else, she enjoyed her own space, her independence. she'd curated her own little routines, her own little preferences, and now she was free to bask in the luxuries of single life. but still, her heart tugged a little at the card - and its implications.
when luca had asked if she'd wanted a plus one to the wedding, months ago, she'd been tempted to answer truthfully, and decline. it was the look on his face however, that teasing smirk that was always so prevalent between siblings, that changed her mind. if she said no, she'd be subject to the usual smug commentary from her brothers, both of whom were happily partnered off, and the unbearably not-so-subtle questions from her parents about her dating life. and so she did her best impression of nonchalance, waved him off with a non-committal smile, and said yes.
she had braced herself for the comments, let it wash off her back when her mum asked her if she had 'finally found someone', or when her other brother gio gave her a vastly sceptical look, like he couldn't believe she'd ever bring a date. it was fine. she was used to this.
as much as alessia loved single life, it would be a lie to say it didn't sting when she turned up to every family gathering alone, watching everyone else with their partners. it would be a lie to say the ribbing and teasing from her brothers didn't hurt a little, that it didn't play on some deep-rooted insecurity she'd tried so hard to stamp out. she told herself it was better this way, but year by year, she watched from the side-lines as all her friends seemed to find their other halves, and yet here she remained, as luca had once said; a 'lone wolf'.
so she'd said yes, when the wedding had been months away, and she had all the time in the world to find a date. now, the wedding was a week away, and here she was. glaring daggers into a wedding invite, very much dateless.
her phone vibrated against the counter, where she'd dropped it unceremoniously after coming in from her match. it was undoubtedly luca again, who had been trying to call her all day. she knew exactly why he was calling. alessia considered declining the call, but she knew her brother would be persistent.
"hey luca," she sighed into the phone, leaning her head against the cupboard.
"less, hi! great game today!"
"thanks," she murmured. her head was beginning to hurt, and she was unsure if it was from the bone-deep exhaustion she felt, or the looming threat of showing up alone to the wedding.
"hey listen, i just wanted to ask you about the-"
"-the wedding, yeah i know," alessia racked her brain for a way out of this conversation, but came up short.
"okay cool, just because you never responded to my texts about your date, and i need to know if you're actually bringing one," luca paused, a muffled noise coming from the other end of the line. alessia assumed he was talking to his fiancée. luca spoke again, voice slightly softer, but still a little harried. "if you aren't that's alright, we just need to know like, right now. if it were anyone else i'd say it's too late to change stuff but since it's you, i'll let you off,"
alessia hesitated. she could tell him the truth. she really should tell him the truth. luca had just given her an out, perfectly plated up for her.
and yet, irritation stirred inside her. luca seemed so sure, so certain that she didn't have a date. she couldn't bear the thought of proving him right. she could already hear gio's remarks, see his smug smile. her mum's overly sympathetic expression flashed in her mind, not for the first time.
alessia loved her brothers, really she did. but that's not to say that, like most siblings, they couldn't be really, fucking annoying. honestly, most things alessia did in life were to spite them. even football, which at first had been her way of joining in with her cool, older brothers, soon became a way to show them up, to prove that anything they could do, she could wipe the floor with them at. alessia made her decision.
"no, it's fine, i'm bringing someone,"
"wait, what?" luca's shock was evident in his voice. alessia gritted her teeth.
"i'm dating someone,"
"seriously?" luca now seemed to be scrambling for what to say, clearly having not expected this answer. "oh, yeah, cool, well, in that case, we need to know his name for the seating charts and stuff,"
alessia cringed. both at luca's assumption of gender, and at the trap she'd just laid for herself. this was a very stupid idea.
"her name," she corrected, on instinct.
god, what was wrong with her? why couldn't she stop talking?
"oh! right sorry- good for you less. we need her name then,"
fuck. what was she doing? alessia had dug herself into a hole of epic proportions, and she really hadn't thought this far ahead. in all honestly, she hadn't really thought at all.
she couldn't back out now though. alessia racked her brain for potential fake suitors, someone she could convince to accompany her for the evening, someone who would raise very little questions. she considered ella, but alessia's family all knew she had a boyfriend. millie, maybe? god knows millie had a thing for dating footballers, but alessia also knew she was awful at keeping her mouth shut. she could try katie, but her brothers had met her on many occasions, they wouldn't believe it for a second. no, it needed to be someone her brothers didn't know well, someone who it would be very easy to erase from her family's memory once the night was over.
alessia felt her mouth move before she had the time to process what she was even saying. the regret was instant, but the words were out before she could swallow them.
"y/n,"
"wait, from united? y/n y/l/n?"
shit. shit, this was bad. of all the players, why had she unconsciously said your name. alessia swallowed hard, closing her eyes and wincing as she nodded to herself.
"yes,"
"oh shit, i didn't even know you guys were close,"
exactly, cursed alessia to herself, we aren't.
"its pretty recent," alessia said instead. god, this was bad. this was so, so bad.
"okay, does she have any food allergies or anything?"
as if alessia had any idea. she'd had maybe five conversations with you in total, and every single one had been utterly infuriating. why she'd said your name was a mystery, and one she was majorly regretting already.
"uh, i don't think so, i'll double check tomorrow," alessia winced as she spoke, very glad this conversation was not face to face.
"well, can you text her now?"
no, alessia thought, i cannot. she didn't even have your number.
"sure," alessia needed to end the call before she said something else she'd regret, "okay luca, i have to go, i'll speak to you later okay?"
"what less no! you just dropped a bomb that you're finally seeing someone, and you're just going to hang up without telling me a thing?"
"yes, i am. goodnight luca,"
after hanging up, alessia borderline threw her phone across the room. she collapsed into a chair, dragging her hands over her face.
"what the fuck have i just done?"
---
alessia woke up the next day, feeling entirely unrefreshed, and unresolved. she'd hoped to sleep on her options after her disastrous claims to luca last night, but the stress of it all meant she barely slept full stop.
at least she had the day off from training. the thought of facing you right now was honestly sickening. not for the first time, alessia cursed herself for saying your name. why she hadn't chosen someone she was actually friends with - someone who would actually go along with her ridiculous lie - was beyond her.
it wasn't that alessia didn't like you, per se, but the two of you had just never seemed to click. since your transfer at the start of the season, you'd become fast friends with pretty much all of the girls, except alessia. honestly, it had killed her at first. alessia prided herself on being likeable, on being able to get on with most people, but for some reason, it was like there was an invisible barrier between the two of you. okay, yeah maybe alessia just didn't like you.
alessia had tried to initiate conversations, but you'd respond with a standoffish comment, or a blunt joke that just didn't seem to land with her. everyone else would laugh, but alessia would find herself awkwardly drawing a blank on what to do or say. the few times you did speak, alessia just found herself getting irritated with you, with the way you seemed to constantly be mocking or teasing her for something, the way you always left her feeling frustrated, and flustered. she assumed you had some sort of vendetta agaisnt her, although she could never quite pinpoint what, or why.
she'd never really had to try to get people to like her before, never really had to force conversation, and for once in her life she hadn't known how to interact with someone.
and so, rather than try, she'd kind of just accepted it. if you didn't like her, if you had some sort of problem with her, then she'd just leave you alone. and so she had. you interacted in a purely surface level manner, as teammates - and no one could deny you were an attacking double act to be reckoned with on the pitch - but that was about as far as it went.
her musing was interrupted by a rather heavy pounding on the door of her flat. she dragged herself out of bed, expecting the postman, but instead was greeted by a very excited ella.
"why didn't you tell me?" ella said immediately, barging past alessia into the flat with the force of a bull on steroids. her eyes widened and she began to look around frantically. "oh my god, is she here?" alessia rubbed the sleep from her eyes. she was not awake enough for whatever this was.
"el, i- what?"
"y/n? is she here?" ella turned to look at alessia, honest-to-god beaming at her. "i can't believe you didn't tell me!"
finally, alessia's brain caught up with ella's tirade. right, y/n.
"you spoke to luca," it wasn't a question. ella didn't seem to notice alessia's sour mood, instead moving to look in alessia's bedroom, as if for some damned reason you'd be in there, god forbid.
alessia weighed her options carefully. on the one hand, she couldn't lie to ella. she'd be found out almost immediately. plus, once ella was involved, that meant the whole team was. it was one thing to lie to her family for one evening, but to lie to the whole team, who she spent hours each day in close contact with, was a whole other kettle of fish. of course, this was all assuming alessia actually spoke to you, and by some miracle, convinced you to keep up the lie. this of course would never happen, since alessia was still pretty sure you hated her.
alternatively, and probably the best idea, she could tell ella the truth. ella might even be able to help her out, set her up with a date or something. it crossed her mind that you were friends with ella, and maybe she'd be able to get you to help alessia out. she dismissed that idea pretty quickly.
"ella, listen-" she began, but ella cut her off immediately.
"oh, less i'm so happy for you guys, i knew you would be so great together!"
alessia was a little taken aback. the thought that ella had seen her interact with you, and somehow come to that conclusion, was honestly baffling. in alessia's shock, ella continued on, " i never understood why you never seemed to get on with her, because you know, she's literally the best, but now it all makes sense!"
"it...does?" alessia didn't really know what to say. she absolutely hadn't expected this reaction.
"you were being shy because you had a crush!" ella exclaimed, as though she'd come to an obvious conclusion. "fuck's sake less, you should've just told me you liked her, i could have set you guys up so much sooner-" alessia barely knew how to respond, she just knew she had to stop this before ella went any further.
"no, that's not-"
"aw less, this is so cute! i can't wait to tell everyone else!" that snapped alessia back to reality.
"no! i mean, please don't,"
"why not?" ella looked at alessia, eyes questioning. she needed to confess, to tell ella the truth before it spiralled. this was already getting out of hand and alessia needed to put it to bed, right now.
"we-uh- we aren't telling people yet. its pretty recent,"
oops.
"oh right, yeah totally less," ella nodded solemnly, and gave alessia a reassuring smile. she tried to return it, but she couldn't muster much more than a grimace, "okay, well, i only stopped by to ask you about it, but i'll see you tomorrow yeah?"
alessia only nodded, watching helplessly after ella as she disappeared down the corridor. she'd really gone and fucked it now.
---
she spent the rest of the day contemplating her options, but unsurprisingly, found no easy way out. she refused point blank to admit to luca it was a lie, espescially now that ella was involved, which meant only one thing. she had to ask for your help. alessia felt honestly ill at just the thought of speaking to you, but she resigned herself to it - it was the only option. it was one night, a single wedding. all she had to do was get on her knees and beg, put up with one night of your infuriating company, then endure a lifetime of embarassment from you. super easy.
ella's earlier words remained in the forefront of her mind. alessia knew that it would only be a matter of time before the whole team discovered the 'news', which meant she had to get to you before they did. she considered messaging you on instagram, but her finger hovered over the button, unable to move.
no, she thought, after opening your profile for the hundredth time. this was the kind of conversation you had face-to-face. although not that alessia had ever had to have this ridiculous conversation before. besides, surely it was best to leave no paper trail.
----
alessia had virtually no sleep for the second night in a row, sleeping though her alarm and therefore ensuing on a mad rush to get to the training ground in time. by the time she arrived, she was practically vibrating; a combination of nervous energy and the coffee she'd downed as she ran out her door.
alessia arrived at the ground in time for the morning meeting, which she listened to approximately none of, hyper-aware of your presence on the other side of the room. finally marc finished speaking, and she stood to try and catch you.
"y/n?" she called, voice borderline desperate. you turned to look at her, as did ona and aoife, who you'd been mid-conversation with. you didn't say anything, just looked into alessia's eyes expectantly. realising she had the attention of a quarter of the room, it occurred to her that now was not the best time to do this. alessia's voice trailed off, and she took a step back.
"uh, nothing," alessia mumbled, and you smirked a little. she gritted her teeth in annoyance, and walked in the opposite direction, just desperate to be anywhere but here, caught like a deer in your headlights. she decided to give it an hour, then catch you alone.
alessia lasted all of 15 minutes before the anxiety got too much, and she took off in search of you. she was so preoccupied that she didn't even see ella coming the other way. she barely even registered the collision, just questioning her on your whereabouts immediately.
"hey, have you seen y/n?"
ella raised her eyebrow, a shit-eating grin plastered onto her face within seconds. alessia rolled her eyes impatiently, knowing exactly where ella's mind had gone. god this was unbearable.
"not for that, i need to speak to her," alessia was getting anxious now, just desperate for this whole thing to be over, and ella's suggestive looks weren't helping in the least. ella seemed to notice when her breath picked up.
"you good, less?"
"can you please just tell me where y/n is?"
"i think she went towards the gym," ella calmed down, sensing alessia was in some distress. alessia took off without a second glance, trying her best to calm her shaking hands. this was fine. she just had to kindly explain, and then beg for you to help. maybe even offer you a hefty bribe or something, and just pray you didn't bite her head off.
alessia was so lost in her head as she marched towards the gym that she didn't notice you waiting for her in the corridor. she wasn't proud of the surprised yelp she let out when you grabbed her hand and pulled her, rather unceremoniously, into a storage cupboard.
"why have i just had someone tell me we're dating?"
fuck, thought alessia. this was not how this conversation was meant to go. she tried to speak, to explain, but, as usual when she was around you, she couldn't seem to get the words out. she blushed, stuttering around excuses.
"hello?" you smirked, clearly amused at alessia's panic. she looked up, meeting those dark eyes to find a hint of laughter. alessia blinked, her breath catching. the amusement in your eyes seemed to fade a little, and if alessia didn't know better, she might have recognised the faint concern laced underneath. "you good?"
"fuck, its my fault - i, i'm so sorry, i-"
"woah, alright, calm down," you reached out a lithe hand, hesitantly placing it on her shoulder.
alessia felt her face heating up, wishing desperately the ground would swallow her whole. it was now or never. she could feel your eyes boring into her, waiting for an explanation. she steeled herself, and let everything fall out in one mortified breath.
"i told my brother i had a girlfriend so he'd get off my back about my date to his wedding, only then he started asking questions so i panicked and said your name," the explanation is rushed, and you have to lean in to decipher exactly what alessia is muttering. she pauses, humiliation halting the next part.
"and then he told ella, who told everyone, so now the whole team thinks we're together, and also my family are expecting me to bring you to the wedding on sunday," her voice trails off.
you let out a laugh, a little taken aback by the comedy of the whole situation. alessia looked down at her feet, playing with the fingers nervously. you could feel the embarrassment practically radiating form her in waves. you felt a little bad. alessia stood in front of you, clearly stressed about this wedding for some reason, so much so she's caught herself up in a lie. a lie involving you, no less, who she seemed to hate, for some reason unbeknownst to you.
fuck it, you thought. you shrugged a little.
"alright," you said simply. alessia snapped her head up so fast you were surprised she didn't get whiplash.
"what?"
"alright. i'll help you out,"
"you- you'll what?"
"i'll help," you shrugged again, keeping your replies deliberately blasé, just to make alessia squirm a little. she was surprisingly easy to stress out, and it was fairly entertaining. "i don't have plans on sunday anyway,"
"you'll come to the wedding?" you nodded, "as my date?" you nodded again. alessia sounded confused, and a little sceptical. she was wary, you realised, expecting a trap, or some sort of condition. "seriously? i'll do anything you want,"
you smirked a little at the tail end of her statement. you were telling the truth; you were free on sunday, and honestly you'd been looking for a chance to break through to alessia for a while now, since she seemed to want absolutely nothing to do with you. you honestly would've done it just to be nice, but her words gave you an idea.
"anything i want?" you could tell alessia instantly regretted saying that. you'd caught her in a very desperate position. she nodded hesitantly. "okay, two conditions," alessia's eyes snapped back to yours, immediately on edge, "one, you give me some shooting practice," alessia interrupted you.
"what?"
"you heard me." you said simply, shrugging again, "i need to work on my shooting, you're our best striker. i want you to help me,"
it was true. you'd admired alessia as a player for a while now, and had hoped that coming to manchester would allow you to learn from her. you were an excellent midfielder, known for your creative play and chance creation, but despite all your ball control and technical skills, you had only scored a handful of times in your career.
despite your hopes however, alessia had never really let you in. while you made fast friends with everyone else, she had clammed up whenever you tried to talk to her. a few times she'd initiated conversation, and as soon as you'd give her a trademark witty comment back, she'd end the interaction, leaving you wondering what the hell you'd done to offend her. it'd been a disappointment, but you'd gotten over it, settling in with the rest of the team and ignoring alessia's subtle glares in your direction. now however, it was you in a position of leverage. maybe you could get something out of this too.
"okay, sure," she nodded, "what's the second thing?"
"stop acting so weird around me,"
alessia spluttered. her earlier embarrassment paved way for only pure indignation.
"i act weird? the fuck does that mean? you're the one who's always either brushing me off, or being a dick whenever i try and speak to you!"
"when have i ever brushed you off? i try to talk to you and you just forget how to speak or something, and then you walk off with a stick up your arse," you smirked, watching as alessia got increasingly frustrated.
"yeah, because you say stuff that doesn't make any sense, like how am i meant to respond to half the shit you say? or you say stuff just to piss me off! that's a pretty clear sign that someone doesn't like you, y/n!"
"i've never once acted like i didn't like you - it's called making a joke, alessia," you said, purposefully emphasising her name, "no one else has a problem with it, i'm just trying to make conversation with you,"
"why do you have to be so frustrating? it's like you have to win every conversation!" alessia cried indignantly. you took a small step forward, meeting her eyes with yours. alessia unconsciously stepped back, but she was already pressed up against the shelves of the small storage cupboard.
"maybe you're just very easy to frustrate, alessia," you said softly, lowering your voice, "maybe you should work on that,"
alessia had no response, only clenching her jaw and rolling her eyes. you stepped back, noticing how her shoulders dropped ever so slightly. you placed a hand on the handle to leave, but before you opened it, you turned back to alessia, meeting her eyes with a smirk.
"send me your address - i'm coming over later," when alessia opened her mouth to protest, you cut her off, "unless you don't want my help after all?" you raised a single eyebrow and alessia sighed.
"yeah, okay. fine,"
"bye," you turned and stalked out the cupboard, stopping at the door once more to look alessia dead in the eye, shit-eating grin plastered on your face, "babe,"
----
"so what exactly was your plan if i didn't say yes?"
"well technically i never asked for your help," alessia grumbled.
"you would've. i was just putting you out of your misery by offering first,"
"you don't know that. anyway, my plan was to maybe run away to mexico,"
"maybe you'd meet a date there,"
alessia huffed from her position on her sofa. god you were infuriating. it had only been a few hours of this charade, and you were already getting under her skin. alessia was starting to think that public humiliation courtesy of her brothers would have been the better option.
"at least then i wouldn't have to deal with you," alessia mumbled.
"oh but you were just starting to like me! look, you're using full sentences when you speak to me and everything!"
"get fucked," alessia said. you were right; at least now she was capable of holding a conversation with you. unfortunately, this graduation meant alessia now had to deal with a lot more of your infuriating personality.
you'd shown up at her flat almost immediately after training, leaving alessia to scramble to try and make the place presentable. now here you were, reclining lazily in her living room, an invasive species taking root in her safe space, and giving very unhelpful suggestions about how to fake a relationship.
"i'm thinking we say you fell madly in love with me at first sight and then-"
"we don't need to say anything!"
"no one is going to believe we're together if we don't even have a backstory, alessia!" you were enjoying this far too much, she could tell. "that might work for your uncles or something, but if you think the girls won't want every juicy detail you are sorely mistaken,"
alessia buried her face in her hands, not for the first time that evening. she felt the familiar rising of panic in her chest, tried to drown out your constant talking, and calm down. this was becoming way too much.
"what the fuck am i doing?" she muttered, squeezing her eyes shut. you paused, and alessia braced herself for another round of teasing from you.
instead, she jumped when she felt your hand on her shoulder. your touch was firm, but grounding, and not at all what alessia had been expecting.
"you alright?"
alessia shook her head, trying to control her breathing and prevent the oncoming spiral. she felt you move to sit next to her, jolting a little as she felt the brush of your thigh against hers. it suddenly occurred to her that she hadn't been this close to, well, anyone, in a very long time. she didn't dare look up.
"this was so stupid, i never should have gotten you involved," her voice was small, embarrassed, "i'm sorry, you don't have to stay,"
"can i ask you something?," you said, and alessia nodded hesitantly.
"why do you care so much? why lie at all?"
alessia sighed. normally, she would have her guard straight back up, but she'd done an awful lot of lying recently, and she was getting very tired.
"i just- i like being single, i honestly do, but, i'm just sick of people going on about it. every single time, its all 'when are you getting a boyfriend, alessia' or 'less, let me set you up with my friend'. it's my mum giving me these pitying looks when my brothers are with their girlfriends and i'm on my own, again,"
she was rambling now, gesticulating wildly as everything that had been building up inside her came out in a rant of emotion. you placed your hand gently on her thigh, and alessia jumped, but continued on, "it's my brothers constantly taking the piss, like they can't believe i could ever find someone. you should have heard how shocked luca was when i said i was seeing someone! and i'm fine on my own, really i am, but when i hear that, it just pisses me off and so i just said it to prove him wrong. even though he isn't wrong, at all,"
alessia stopped, breathing a little hard. she felt a tear prick at the corner of her eye, and willed herself to calm down. she'd already said far too much to you, didn't want to give you any more ammunition than she already had. she winced in anticipation of your teasing remarks, but none came.
"that makes sense. that would get to me too," you didn't move your hand. alessia shook her head.
"i'm sorry for dragging you into this, we should just forget this ever happened,"
"if you really want me to go, i will," you said, "but i want to help,"
"i can't ask you to do this, it's so dumb,"
"you didn't ask remember? i offered," you nudged her shoulder, and she let out a choked laugh despite herself.
"come on," you nudged her again, "i'm not really that bad, am i?,"
alessia shook her head, her gaze fixed on where your hand still rested on her thigh, your fingers absentmindedly stroking her leg. begrudgingly, she had to agree. maybe she'd underestimated you.
"okay," she nodded, finally looking up at you, "let's fake date,"
you smiled, and moved away slightly. alessia felt an unfamiliar twinge at the loss of contact.
"by the way, you're going to have to stop blushing every time i touch you,"
alessia almost choked, her face heating up even more, "i'm not!"
you just shrugged, that familiar teasing smirk returning.
"whatever you say, babygirl,"
alessia just rolled her eyes.
"okay, so what's the plan?" you said, making your way over to the kitchen. you began to root through alessia's cupboards, "why have you not got any real food in here?"
"i have real food-"
"no, this is just like, oats and stuff,"
"it's ingredients. stop going through my cupboards,"
"fine, i'll order food. what do you want?"
alessia just stared at you, utterly baffled. why you were acting as though this was a perfectly normal occurrence, for you to be stood in her kitchen as though it was your own, for you to be ordering her dinner, she had no clue. you stared back, clearly waiting for an answer.
"um, whatever you like," alessia gave in, still looking at you incredulously. you just hummed, and reached in her cupboard for a glass. alessia could only wonder how you even knew where the glasses were.
---
you'd agreed that the best course of action would be to take it slow, ease people into the idea of your relationship. admittedly, no one had ever seen you interact at training, so they were unlikely to believe a sudden 180 in behaviour. the both of you were fairly private people, so it wasn't like the others would be expecting you to launch out the pda immediately. a few gentle touches here and there, a couple whispered conversations, that was all you needed.
alessia didn't walk out to training with you, but the two of you made sure to stand next to each other where possible. you placed a hand on the small of her back when you saw ella eyeing the two of you suspiciously, only removing it when you saw her start whispering to millie. job done.
while you seemed to be playing your part with ease, alessia thrummed with nerves. she flinched when she felt you touch her back, and she swallowed at the spike of electricity it sent down her spine. alessia waited for you to remove it, but you only let it rest there. she breathed into the touch, relaxing enough to remember the plan. she gave you a performative smile, trying to school her features into those of a loving girlfriend, and you grinned.
“try it without looking like you’re in pain next time,” you whispered with a smirk, before running off to receive the ball. alessia stared after you, clenching her jaw in annoyance. this was going to be a long few days.
alessia turned her attention back to the drill, managing a successful twenty minutes without any you-shaped irritation. then the coaches called for you to partner up, and her luck ran out. she sighed as you came bounding over to her, grinning ear to ear like a love-sick puppy.
the two of you queued up, listening intently to the instructions. or rather, you listened. alessia could only focus on your hand, which had snaked its way around her waist and was tracing light shapes into her hipbone.
she was brought back to earth by the shout of her name. you laughed and nudged her,
“it’s your turn,” you smirked. alessia swallowed, realising she had no clue what she was meant to be doing.
“alessia! were you not paying attention?” the coach yelled from the sidelines. ella chose that moment to chime in.
“she was paying attention to someone else coach!”
millie wolf-whistled in response. alessia buried her head in her hands, feeling her face heat up. sensing her panic, you quickly pointed out what she was meant to be doing. alessia muttered a quick apology, running to take her turn.
she rounded on you as soon as training finished.
“what the fuck was that?”
“i should be asking you that!” you laughed. “careful alessia, anyone would think you were actually into me,”
the icy glare she sent your way could’ve frozen fire, but you just smirked.
“it’s not funny, you fucked up my whole training session,”
“i’m sorry! i didn’t realise little old me would distract you so much,”
“just don’t pull that shit tomorrow, alright?” alessia borderline spat, before turning on her heel and stalking away. you chased her down with a shout.
“hey, where are you going? you said you’d help with the shooting!”
fuck, you’d had alessia so riled up, she had entirely forgotten. she knew she needed to keep her promise, or risk losing your help, but the thought of spending another moment in your vicinity drove her insane. she needed to go home and calm down.
“after that stunt you pulled? we'll see about it tomorrow, alright?”
you thought about arguing, but seeing how hot and bothered alessia was, you decided not to risk annoying her anymore. you honestly didn’t know what her problem was - she’d asked for your help, hadn’t she? you nodded begrudgingly, watching after her as she walked to her car.
clearly, alessia was stressed, whether about the wedding or something deeper, you weren’t sure. as much as you enjoyed teasing her, you felt a little guilty about her reaction. you really hadn’t intended to distract her, but you’d seen how some of the girls were shooting sceptical glances at the two of you, and knew you needed to keep alessia’s cover. you resolved to be a little nicer tomorrow, hoping it might make alessia warm up to you somewhat.
back in her flat, alessia stared down at the invitation once again. there was no way all this was worth it, and she ran a hand raggedly down her face.
there was something about you, that was just so infuriating. the more you two were speaking, alessia just found herself increasingly frustrated. she’d previously pinned the emotion down to annoyance and irritation, but the longer it went on, she was starting to feel more flustered than anything. you always seemed to have the upper hand, and alessia was left stuttering to keep up. it was as if her brain just stopped functioning every time you so much as looked at her, or brushed her arm. it was extremely annoying.
alessia allowed herself a few moments to air her grievances, before dragging herself into the shower. she turned the temperature to cool, and tried to forget the sensation of your hand around her waist.
—-
the next day, training ran without a hitch. you made sure to fasten yourself to alessia’s side occasionally, but kept the touches and teasing to a minimum.
expecting a repeat of your antics from the previous day, alessia had showed up to training on edge. it seemed, however, that you were intent on keeping your word. it was an adjustment, getting used to your constant presence, but alessia found that without the constant teasing, she didn't mind too much. eventually, she relaxed into the familiarity of usual training, feeling more herself than she had all week.
without alessia to annoy, you'd turned your attention to light-hearted jokes at the other girls' expense. now that she was out from your spotlight, alessia found herself laughing along with the team. begrudgingly, she could see the funny side. maybe she was starting to see why everyone else liked you.
training finished, and alessia made her way over to where you stood chatting to the others. gaining a bolt of confidence, she snaked her arm around your waist. you jolted a bit at the unexpected contact. ever quick to recover, you flashed her a winning smile. she pressed herself deeper into your side.
"ready to go babe?" you asked, slinging a lazy arm around her shoulders. you didn't want to annoy alessia, not after you'd kept yourself in her good books all day, but you were increasingly aware of everyone else's eyes fastened on the two of you. alessia turned to look at you, all big blue eyes and smiling dimples. you wondered if she'd taken acting lessons since yesterday.
"i thought we could stay for some shooting practice?" she said sweetly. your eyes widened a little, pleasantly surprised she was going to hold up her end of the deal after all. you nodded, losing your words for a second. it was a little hard to think when she was looking at you like that.
"oh, uh, yeah- sounds good,"
alessia waved bye to the others, before she practically sauntered over to the goal. you watched, a little dumbfounded. clearly she was pleased with herself for having caught you off guard. after a beat, you said your goodbyes and jogged to catch her up, chuckling a little.
"so where do we start?"
"well, why don't we just run a few shots and we'll see where we go from there?"
you nodded and turned to grab a ball from the ball bag. it wasn't not unusual for players to stay after training, so most of the equipment had been left out. you glanced up to say something, but found alessia had disappeared.
"wh-?" you cut yourself off with a laugh when you spotted her grappling with a training mannequin on the far side of the field. as you watched her try to drag it over, she somehow managed to rather ungracefully trip over her own feet.
alessia swore, but looked up when she heard your bright laugh.
"oh shut up! just help me put this in the goal," she grumbled. you hoped you hadn't mistaken the hint of a smile in her voice.
"how are you so fucking clumsy?" you teased, lifting up the mannequin with ease. alessia followed as you walked to the goal, choosing not to answer. you placed it down. "here okay?"
alessia stepped back to judge the positioning. you couldn't deny she looked a little cute; hands on hips, head tilted, nose scrunched up in thought. you were broken from your musing as she stepped forward, dragging the mannequin a little to the left.
"hmm, a little more this way,"
"don't fall over it this time,"
"oh fuck off. so annoying," she mumbled, although the smile that appeared on her face betrayed her lack of annoyance. small wins, you thought.
the two of you began taking shots, alessia feeding them in as you whacked them into the net from distance. although you could often find the back of the net, your accuracy wasn't the best. you groaned after you failed to hit the top right for the third time.
"right, okay, i think i know what you're doing wrong," alessia said, as she fished the balls out the net. "you just need to position your body a little differently. here watch me,"
you fed a perfect pass into her - at least you had no problem with assists - and she struck the ball perfectly into the top corner.
"like this?" you said, trying to mimic the way she leant over the ball. alessia frowned.
"hmm, no, like-" she paused, clearly hesitating on her next move. the pause didn't last long though, as she planted her hands on your waist and physically manoeuvred you.
"so you want to move away from the defender like this," she swivelled your hips slightly, "and then, when you hit the ball, you want to sort of do this," she kept one hand on your waist, moving the other to your torso and guiding you through the motion. you tried to take in her words, but you could only focus on her body as it pressed up against yours. you nodded, suddenly a little flustered, but alessia didn't take her hands away.
alessia wasn't really thinking when she decided to touch you, but as she positioned your body, her thoughts drifted. your torso was firm underneath her hand, she noted, and her fingers slotted so neatly into the curve of your waist. her words trailed off, hands lingering a second too long.
alessia jolted as she realised where she was. she let go quickly, a little flustered. god, what was going on with her.
"um, yeah, try that," she said, taking another step back. she felt her face flush, but thankfully, you didn't turn to look at her.
trying to ignore alessia's lingering touch, and its subsequent quick departure, you geared up to take the shot. you tried to mimic what she'd done, and you grinned as the ball found its target.
"yes! that was it!" called alessia from where she stood, "now, let's run about a hundred more,"
when you finally walked off the training pitch together, you were pleasantly surprised by your progress. alessia was a good coach, now that she was actually acknowledging you. you looked over at her as she walked beside you.
the sun was setting by now, casting alessia in a warm orange glow. a piece of her hair had come loose from her braid. you wanted to thank her, but found you didn't want to break the comfortable silence engulfing the two of you.
alessia kept step beside you, contemplating her own sudden change of heart. now that she knew you a little better, the teasing remarks no longer spun her off kilter, and she found she was more amused than annoyed.
"i was thinking maybe i could come over tomorrow after training? to sort out plans for sunday and that?" she asked, turning to look at you.
"yeah sure, what time?" you said absentmindedly, lifting your shirt a little to wipe your face. despite the cool summer evening air, you'd managed to work up a sweat. alessia couldn't help the way her eyes drifted down to your exposed torso. she swallowed.
"alessia?" you prompted, turning to look at her when she didn't answer. she averted her eyes back to your face, before quickly looking away again when she made eye contact.
"oh, um, 7?"
"sounds good, i can make dinner?"
"should i be worried?" alessia smirked, recovering herself a little. jesus, she was all over the place lately. she tried to reassure herself it was just the stress of the impending wedding, pushing down the voice at the back of her head.
"fuck you, i'm a great cook,"
"i'll be the judge of that,"
---
alessia rocked band and forth on her heels as she waited outside your building. she contemplated checking the address yet again, but settled on messaging a simple i'm outside. luckily, it turned out you lived pretty close to her, so she had walked, the weather only a light summer drizzle.
training had run smoothly once again, with the two of you settling into the act comfortably. the nature of your job meant you were at liberty to keep it lowkey and professional, only having to share the occasional sly touch or whispered comment to maintain the facade. some of the others had finally given in to temptation and pressed you both for details. alessia had momentarily faltered, but was saved by you stepping in to proudly regale your concocted story. all she'd had to do was nod and smile in all the right places, content to sit back and eat her lunch while you took the reins. after everyone had left, you'd flashed her a smirk, and whispered "hook, line and sinker". then you'd ruined the moment by mocking her outfit, but she could forgive you for that.
alessia's careful musing on the day was interrupted by you bounding down the staircase. you threw the door open and beckoned her in.
"lift's broken so we have to take the stairs," you said, already making your way up, "try not to fall down them,"
"i'm not that clumsy,"
"could've fooled me," you shrugged.
thankfully alessia managed to keep her footing on all four flights, only nearly dropping her keys once. she hoped you didn't see that.
"okay, so i was thinking, for the wedding, we ne-"
"jesus, straight to the point, huh?"
"well, i was just-"
"you've literally just come through the door, we'll talk about it over tea,"
"stop interrupting me," alessia huffed, placing her bag down on the coffee table, "but fine,"
you made your way back to the kitchen area, and alessia took the chance to take in your open-plan flat. it was nice, she conceded, spacious but homely, decorated eclectically but well. she wasn't sure why she was shocked, as though she'd been expecting you to live in a cave or something.
she turned to join you in the kitchen, where you seemed to be plating up dinner already. alessia offered to help, but you waved her off, telling her to sit down.
"i didn't know you could cook," alessia said as the two of you ate. you hummed, shrugging slightly.
"you don't really know anything about me," you replied simply. for the first time, alessia felt a pang of guilt at not giving you a chance sooner. it was true - she could tell you any number of facts about the rest of the team, but she wouldn't even know where to start with you.
"well no but, i can learn," she said. you looked a little shocked by her words. alessia felt another stab of guilt.
"so, the wedding?" you prompted, eager to change the subject, "what's the plan?"
alessia began to run you through the itinerary, rambling a little. in her stress over the whole thing, she had managed to commit every little detail to memory. she wanted the day to run pefect for luca and his fiancee of course, but she also now had to contemplate bringing you into the midst.
"to be honest, you don't have to come to the ceremony if you don't want to," she added, noticing your wide eyes as you tried to take it all in.
"well, are your family expecting me to be there?"
"um, well yeah, but-" alessia trailed off. her earlier guilt at not being close to you had now morphed into an all encompassing guilt for dragging you into this whole thing.
"do you want me to be there?"
alessia faltered. despite all her planning, she hadn't really considered that. if you'd asked her at the start of the week, it would have been a resounding no, but as she mulled it over, she found that, actually, just maybe, she potentially did.
"um, yeah, i think i do actually,"
"cool, then i'll be there," you shrugged, and alessia nodded.
"so, i'm meant to be getting ready with my mum, but then we can pick you up on the way to the church?"
"i can meet you there if that's easier? less hassle for you guys, plus it might save us any awkward questions from your mum?"
"i mean, its a good idea, but to be honest i think you'll get questions no matter what. it's not a problem - you're on our way anyway," alessia said, and you nodded.
it was a nice change, seeing you like this. the way you seemed genuinely eager to help, making thoughtful suggestions rather than immature ones. the two of you sat at the table long after you'd finished eating, discussing the plan and making sure your story was airtight.
"personally i still think we should tell everyone you pined after me for months," just like that, your teasing suggestions were back, but alessia no longer found herself bothered by them.
"we're absolutely not saying that,"
"oh come on, you know you're obsessed with me,"
"so obsessed it hurts," alessia mimed an arrow to the chest, and you grinned. she felt a small sense of pride at making you laugh. it was a little unnerving. she turned her attention to more pressing matters.
"you do have something to wear right? i can lend you a dress,"
"a dress? absolutely not," you smirked, "don't worry, i've got it covered - what colour is yours?"
"why?"
"so we don't clash, duh,"
"oh," alessia still felt wary, "its like a navy blue, here i'll show you," she pulled out her phone to find the dress. you gave an appreciative look.
"yeah, i've got a suit that will go well with that,"
"i feel like you're going to show up in something stupid - should i be worried? i am worried,"
you stood up to clear the plates, whacking her shoulder playfully.
"do you need to be going?" you asked over your shoulder as you washed up, "i know it's a late kick off tomorrow, but don't feel obliged to stay if you want to get home,"
in all honesty, alessia didn't want to go just yet. she wasn't too worried about the match, it being an evening home game they were tipped to win, and she still wanted to iron out a few more things for sunday. besides, it was nice to not spend yet another evening alone in her flat.
"i don't, unless you want me to go?" the hesitance that crept into her tone was unbidden.
"nah i'm good. stay," you walked to the fridge and pulled it open, searching for something, "normally i'd offer you wine, but maybe not the best idea before a match," you held out a can of pepsi triumphantly, before collapsing onto the sofa beside alessia.
"only the best for my fake girlfriend,"
alessia took it gratefully, then realised she didn't quite know what to do with herself with you sat in such close proximity. she adjusted her position awkwardly, but it was only a small sofa.
"so, tell me about your family," you said as you switched the tv on, "any weird uncles i need to avoid?"
alessia laughed and began to give you a rundown on all the people you would need to know. she found herself relaxing as she spoke, her earlier awkwardness dissipating. you listened intently. your eyes didn't leave her face as she talked, but alessia didn't notice.
the topic soon moved with ease towards your own family, then you in general, and alessia sank into the comfortable flow of conversation. the two of you chatted for hours before alessia realised the time.
"oh shit, it's pretty late, i should probably be going,"
you yawned and nodded, "oh damn yeah, who knew you could talk so much?" alessia blushed, and began to mutter an apology, but you cut her off, "its cool, makes a nice change," you winked, "you could stay, if you like? it's chucking it down out there, plus it's dark, and you shouldn't walk back alone,"
alessia could get an uber - she had planned to get an uber. logically she should go home, make sure she got a good night's sleep before the game. despite this, she hesistated.
"is that alright?" she asked. you nodded.
"yeah of course, as long as you don't mind sharing the bed. i can drive you back in the morning before the match," you walked off, going to get her some clothes to sleep in, and alessia followed.
you fell asleep pretty much straight away, but alessia found herself unable to do the same. she stared at the ceiling, listening to your even breaths and trying to ignore the way your legs brushed up against hers.
she wasn't sure why she agreed to stay, to sleep in a bed with you no less, but, alessia realised, something had changed this week. she enjoyed your company, enjoyed you. she'd even maybe go as far as calling you a friend. for the first time, alessia found herself wondering what would happen after the wedding. she'd been so focused on keeping up the lie, she hadn't even considered it. the two of you had planned to keep up the lie a little longer, then stage a mutual and unexplosive breakup, but now, alessia wondered if you'd even remain close. what if your actions towards her were simply another part of the act, and once you got your shooting practice in return, would it go back to the way it was? alessia realised, with a very strong conviction, that she didn't want that at all.
---
alessia woke before you the next morning. the rain had cleared up, and the sun cast soft rays through your thin curtains. at some point in the night the two of you had shifted to face each other. alessia realised her arm was hanging loosely over your waist, and she pulled it back quickly.
she wasn't sure how long she'd laid there last night, thoughts racing as sleep evaded her. she lay there now, remarking on how much softer your features looked in sleep. your hair hung loosely over your eyes, and alessia had a sudden urge to brush it aside.
the thought registered with a jolt, and alessia extricated herself from the bed as quickly as possible. she tried to push down the feeling in her chest, point-blank refusing to acknowledge it.
this was bad - what was she doing? she couldn't be thinking like this. she needed to go. getting dressed quickly, alessia collected her things and slipped out of your building without a second thought. it was only when she was halfway down the street that the guilt settled in- she should have left a note or something. alessia settled for a text.
left to get ready for the game - thanks so much for letting me stay, see you later x
---
alessia was already there when you showed up at the stadium for the game. you gave her a wave, then moved to sit by your things. waking up alone had stung a little, and you wondered if you'd done something wrong. you'd thought the two of you had maybe crossed a bridge this week - that maybe you were actual friends now, rather than just accomplices caught up in the same lie. maybe you'd been wrong.
it shouldn't have surprised you. you knew alessia hadn't liked you before, although you were still clueless as to why, and maybe it was naïve to think that could've changed.
of course, the text she'd sent hadn't indicated any problem, it was an entirely reasonable thing to do, and she'd seemed perfectly comfortable in your company last night, but still, a girl leaving your bed at the crack of dawn was never a good sign. you knew with some certainty that, after all this was done, you didn't want to go back to how things were, but you had no clue if alessia felt the same. this could have just been all part of the lie for her.
that didn't matter now though, you had to focus on the game.
---
the first half was electric. alessia played well, if she did say so herself, and in all honesty, it was down to you. while before you'd had great link-up play as an attacking duo, now, the two of you were dynamite. you each ran circles around the defence, anticipating the other's moves with ease. so naturally, when alessia volleyed the ball into the back of the net, it was from a cross you'd rocketed into the box.
she ran to hug you, and you did the same, jumping into her arms and wrapping your legs around her waist. alessia had been wondering if she'd upset you by leaving early, and trying very hard not to think about certain other things, but that was long forgotten. she simply let herself breathe you in, holding you tight as she spun you around.
the game continued much in a similar way, the two of you cleaving through defenders like water. you were 3-0 up at 80 minutes, and still you pressed for more.
alessia took on a defender with ease, pressing into space. she could've attempted the shot herself, but she saw your run into the box. she passed the ball to you, and watched as you put into practice exactly what she'd showed you.
it was a perfect strike. you pumped your fists and made a beeline for alessia, squeezing her tight.
"fuck yes! that was all you lessi, all you," you yelled into her ear. alessia's eyes shone with pride, but the warm feeling that engulfed her was far, far more than that. suddenly, alessia couldn't breathe, her heart beating far more erratically than it should've been. she buried her face in your neck and held you tight. oh this was bad. this was so, so bad. if alessia thought the situation was complicated before, she'd definitely made it a whole lot worse now.
she let go, clapping you on the shoulder as she beamed, choking down the pounding in her chest.
"no y/n, all you,"
---
you were still riding the high of the win, and the goal, as you got yourself ready for the wedding the next day. you'd gone home feeling much better than you had before; alessia's reactions on the pitch seemed to confirm to you that there was no bad blood between the two of you. your heart fluttered slightly at the memory of how she'd looked at you - all beaming smiles and bright eyes.
a knock on your door shook you out of your reverie, and you tried to forget the memory. you couldn't be thinking like that. she was a friend - and just barely. you smoothed down your suit and pulled the door open.
"hey- oh. wow, you look-" alessia stumbled over her words as she took you in.
"told you i had it covered," you grinned, posing a little, "you scrub up alright yourself," you couldn't deny she looked absolutely stunning - it was taking every ounce of your effort not to stare, to keep your breathing relatively normal as you took her in.
"right- um yeah- are you ready to go?"
you nodded and followed her out, steeling your nerves to meet alessia's mum. you ran over the story once again in your mind, and from alessia's expression, you imagined she was doing the same. you reached out to grab her hand, giving it a gentle squeeze.
"calm down, you're breathing like you've just ran a marathon," you muttered as you approached the taxi.
"ah, wow, thats such a helpful thing to say, thank you," alessia's voice dripped with sarcasm, and she didn't even look at you.
"we've got this okay? i'm great at lying," she nodded, but you could still see the tension practically radiating off her shoulders.
"i'm not," she mumbled.
"hey, it'll be fine, i promise. just let me know if you need anything - i just want you to enjoy your brother's wedding, alright?"
alessia nodded again, before you reached the car. you waved through the window at her mum, before sliding into the back of the taxi with alessia.
"mum, this is y/n, my girlfriend," alessia spoke confidently, but you'd spent enough time with her this week to hear the faint waver in her voice. you put on your best meet-the-parents voice as you chimed in - you had promised alessia you'd be on your best behaviour today.
"hi, it's so great to finally meet you! alessia's told me so much about you,"
"you too, sweetheart! we're so glad she's finally found someone to look after her," her mum replied, turning from the passenger seat to smile at you. you could see where alessia got it from.
"well, i do my best," you smile back, "she deserves it,"
alessia groaned next to you, face a little flushed.
"mum..."
"well it's true, honey! you know we worry about you getting lonely up here on your own," you were tempted to slide alessia a teasing smirk at that, but thought better of it. god knows she didn't need you adding to the stress.
"yeah, alright, alright," alessia mumbled, still firmly averting her eyes from yours, "how's luca doing?"
"he's doing well, he's with gio and your dad at the church now,"
alessia nodded and smiled, taking a deep breath in. in a brief moment of daring, you reached for her hand and squeezed. she squeezed back with a small smile. the car fell into a comfortable silence, and you turned to look at the window, watching the cars pass by, and trying to ignore the fluttering in your chest.
with alessia being the sister of the groom, she was swept up into wedding business as soon as you entered the church. you'd agreed it would be best to save the introductions for the reception, so you slid into a pew a few rows behind and watched on as alessia greeted her family. you smirked a little as you watched alessia's mum point you out to her brothers, who clapped alessia on the back in apparent congratulations. you sent them a little wave, then for good measure, blew alessia a kiss. she sent you a death glare in return.
the ceremony was beautiful, even as a total stranger. your eyes kept drifitng back to alessia, watching as she beamed with pride, tears shining in her eyes. it warmed your heart to see her like this; you knew she was close with her family, but it was nice to witness it in full. she caught your eye in the crowd, soft smile growing when you grinned back at her.
alessia beckoned you over to her side as the crowd gathered to watch luca and his wife leave the church in the wedding car. you slung an arm around her shoulders and she leaned into you.
"happy?"
"very," she nodded, "thank you for coming,"
"anytime,"
you were interrupted by gio clapping both of you on the back.
"not going to introduce me less?" he grinned. alessia rolled her eyes.
"gio this is y/n. y/n, gio," you stuck out a hand, and he shook it before pulling you in for a hug.
"pleasure to meet you, y/n," he grinned, before turning to alessia, "where've you been hiding this one, lessi? took you long enough,"
"fuck off gio,"
"i'm joking, i'm really happy for you," he turned back to you, face suddenly serious, "if you hurt my baby sister i will kill you, understood?"
"loud and clear," you grinned, and he laughed.
"yeah, i like her less, good job," gio walked off, presumably to greet someone else, and you turned to alessia.
"that went well,"
"shut up please,"
alessia was dragged off for photos pretty soon after, so you spent your time milling around the reception area, and taking advantage of cocktail hour. you had a few run-ins with some cousins and family friends, word apparently having travelled fast, but you put on your best loved-up smile, and spent about an hour gushing about alessia. you tried not to think about how easy it was.
alessia returned after a while, making a beeline for you. or rather, for the drink you held in your hand, which she took without a word and downed rather hastily.
"having fun?"
"all anyone wants to talk to me about is you," she muttered, "even luca! you'd think it was our fucking wedding, not his! i need another drink,"
"on it," you said, walking to the bar with a small laugh. you returned with two cocktails, placing one into alessia's hand. she smiled in thanks.
"just one evening, less, you got this," she nodded, already halfway through her cocktail.
"oh there she is- alessia!" alessia groaned as she heard her mum's voice.
"god, here we go," she grumbled, before plastering a smile to her face and turning around. you waved as her parents approached, swiftly followed by luca and his wife.
"this is y/n," alessia said. you shook her dad's hand, greeting him with a smile.
"it's great to meet you," you turned to luca, "and congratulations! its a beautiful wedding, thank you so much for having me here,"
"yeah thank you," he beamed, clearly caught up in wedding ecstasy, "and of course! you're part of the family too now," you nodded, a small pang of guilt at your lies hitting you squarely in the chest, "plus, as if we were going to let less get away with not bringing you,"
"luca-" alessia attempted, but he waved her off.
"she never brings anyone to anything, honestly i don't even know if she's ever dated anyone seriously, we were all so relieved when she said she was finally bringing a date,"
you didn't miss the way alessia's fingers tightened around her glass, or the way her jaw muscles clenched.
"i mean, seriously, we were starting to get like, worried, you know? like we get you're busy with football less, but come on!"
you were concerned alessia was going to break the glass if she gripped it any tighter. you snaked an arm around her waist, rubbing your thumb slightly over her hipbone.
"well, nothing to worry about anymore," you joked good-naturedly, "i'm just lucky she got there in the end," you flashed her a smile, and her eyes betrayed her thanks. she relaxed into you a little, nodding.
"i'm glad, treat her right, yeah?" luca said, and you nodded. you were getting used to these shovel talks by now, "anyway, you guys should probably get in your seats- speeches soon!" he turned with a wave.
being alessia's date, you of course found yourself on the family table, nestled between your fake girlfriend and her brother. luckily, the attention of the group had finally switched back to the wedding at hand, and you gave yourself a moment to relax. all this lying, this play-acting at being alessia's girl, hadn't felt too difficult in the moment, but now that you weren't under the scrutiny of prying eyes, you realised how much it had taken out of you. you tried to focus on the speeches, taking the moment to collect yourself.
try as you might though, your attention never drifted too far from alessia. you snuck a sideways glance at her, watching as she listened intently. her eyes shone with tears as her dad spoke, and so, emboldened by the copious amount of champagne, you placed a hand gently on her thigh. her eyes never moved from her dad, but her hand moved to rest on top of yours. you felt a little giddy at the intimacy of it all, her fingers tracing a pattern against yours. you told yourself it was just the alcohol making you feel this way, but this small private gesture implied otherwise. it wasn't like anyone could see - there was no one to keep up the pretence for.
gio swept you up into conversation pretty quickly once the speeches ended and the food arrived, seeming genuinely interested in you and your life. his plus one, his girlfriend of a few years, joined in, and you spent most of the meal chatting to the two of them. alessia was uncharacteristically quiet, sharing only the occasional exchange with her parents. you longed to know what was going through her mind, but despite the charade, you knew it wasn't the time to ask. it probably wasn't even for you to ask at all. all you could do was watch as she subdued herself, only moving to refill her champagne yet again.
by the time the first dance was done, and the party began in full, you were already feeling the effects of the alcohol. from her more relaxed manner, you guessed alessia was too. the two of you had been left alone at your table, and you took the opportunity to check in with her.
"you good?" there was nobody in your close vicinity, with everyone dispersing onto the dance floor, but you kept your voice low regardless.
alessia nodded and hummed, closing her eyes a little.
"are you pissed?" you laughed. she snapped her eyes open at that, looking at you indignantly.
"no, are you?" you chose to ignore her defensive tone, instead slipping into a wide laugh.
"yep, hammered,"
that got a laugh out of alessia, and she smirked.
"yeah, me too- let's go dance,"
you nodded and let her pull you towards the throng of people. the two of you danced for a while, just enjoying the atmosphere. alessia's parents soon materialised, the two of them grinning from ear to ear. you laughed as alessia's dad brought out the full set of dance moves, glad that alessia seemed to have eased up as well. it didn't last long however, as the four of you soon sank into chairs and began to chat.
"we're thrilled you're here y/n," alessia's dad began, his wife tucked under his arm. you could see why alessia had high standards for relationships. "lessi's always so busy, we never get to see her relaxed like this,"
you almost choked on your drink. you were pretty sure alessia had never been less relaxed in her life.
"i'm sure you'll look after her, we've been waiting for her to find someone who makes her this happy," alessia sipped at her own drink, not even looking up.
"all our children finally growing up and starting their own families, it makes us so happy," her mum nodded, chiming in. at the mention of a family, alessia finished her glass, and turned to you. it only took one look to see the frustration in her eyes. you went to say something, but were cut off by the arrival of a group of people you hadn't met.
"oh my god, hi! you're alessia's girlfriend right? i'm her cousin, everyone's been talking about how she finally brought a date, we had to come meet you! took her long enough!"
you nodded and introduced yourself, shifting your chair a fraction closer to alessia. before you could say anymore, however, alessia cut you off.
"y/n, could you go get me another drink?" you hesitated - the last thing you wanted to do was leave alessia alone in the lion's den. the desperate glint in her eye, the slight quiver in her lip, told you exactly how you she was feeling though, so you nodded and stood, waving a quick goodbye to what now seemed to be the entire russo family.
standing at the bar, you kept your gaze on alessia, who now appeared to be being bombarded by questions. you tapped your fingers impatiently on the counter, eager to get back to her and mitigate the damage. it was becoming increasingly apparent that, although she may have avoided the questions of why she was alone, your presence here had just opened up a whole new can of worms. lost in your thoughts, you didn't notice the girl who sidled up next to you until she spoke.
"bride or groom?"
you turned to her, a little taken aback. your identity as alessia's girlfriend had mostly preceded introductions up until now.
"oh, uh, groom,"
"that explains why i didn't recognise you - i'm the bride's sister,"
"oh cool," you smiled politely. the girl's suggestive tone gave you a clear indication of her intentions. normally, you would have flirted back- you couldn't deny she was attractive - but you only wanted to get back to alessia. you glanced back over to the table, but her chair was now empty.
the bartender placed your drinks in front of you, and you took them quickly.
"uh, sorry, i should get back, but nice to meet you," you muttered, before practically jogging back.
"where did less go?" you said, putting the drinks down, and turning to her mum with a smile that you hoped didn't betray your concern.
"oh just to the bathroom love," she replied. you nodded. it was probably nothing, but you had a strong urge to go and check on her.
"oh, i might go as well, could you watch our drinks?" you barely gave her time to answer before you dodged your way through the crowd.
"alessia? you in here?" there was no reply. a quick check determined all the cubicles were empty, save for one very drunk bridesmaid who you had to practically extract yourself from.
you came back out, racking your brain for where she could have gone. catching sight of a door slightly ajar, you stepped outside.
"hey," you began hesitantly. alessia sat with her head in her hands, her breathing shallow. she didn't look up. "you okay?"
you contemplated sitting down on the bench next to her, but the moment felt suddenly very private. it was quite possible that you were the last person she wanted to be around.
alessia mumbled something, but her voice was too muffled to understand. you stepped a little closer.
"what was that?" you kept your voice low and your movements cautious, as though she were an animal you didn't want to spook. she looked up, and your heart broke a little as you took in her red eyes and tear-tracked cheeks.
"why do you care? you're not actually my girlfriend," her voice was tired, resigned almost.
you couldn't deny it stung a little, but you weren't going to let that deter you. you weren't leaving her like this.
"well no, but i'm your friend," at your own words you faltered a little -were you? you knew how your position on the matter had switched from before, but you still held some doubt that she had ever changed her mind about you. your voice was hesitant as you spoke again, "are we not friends, alessia?"
"we are but," she sniffled and shook her head "it's none of your business,"
"i respect that, and if you want me to go i will, but you're upset, and i care about you, and i want to help. i want it to be my business less,"
she looked up at you, properly this time, before burying her head in her hands again.
"it's just- too much," she whispered, a small sob escaping her. you rushed to sit next to her, placing an arm around her shoulders immediately.
"what is?"
"all of it," she exhaled, finally letting the dam break and her words spill out, "i thought you being here would help, that they would finally get off my back, but now they've all just made it even more clear that they were just waiting for me to find someone, yet they're all so shocked that i finally have, like, did they all just think i was fucking lonely and desperate this whole time?"
she paused to take a shaky breath.
"and i was happy on my own, i really was, but they say shit like that and suddenly i'm an insecure teenager all over again- like if my own family expect me to be alone then surely i'm not good enough for anyone to want me, and i didn't know what to say, or do, and i just feel really, really shitty, you know?"
you nodded, stroking her back as encouragement to continue.
"and they all just started bombarding me, and i didn't know what to say without you there, and i just-" she swiped furiously at her face. "and then i wanted to go find you, but that girl was flirting with you, and then i just felt so guilty for dragging you here when you could be out with other girls who aren't a fucking mess like i am, and now you're being so nice and tolerating me when i'm drunk and crying, when i'm literally not your problem and i just-"
"less, you don't get it - i want to be here. i want to tolerate drunk you. i want you to be my problem,"
alessia shook her head frantically, tears still flowing as she continued her rant.
"i'm just so sorry - i've been so stressed all day, everyone has been all over me and i should've been thinking about the wedding, but all i can think about is you, because i know you were faking it today but i just couldn't stop wishing you weren't, and i-"
she stopped suddenly, realising what she'd confessed. you tried to look at her, but she kept her eyes glued to the floor. your heart pounded as you deciphered her words, unsure if you'd mistaken their meaning. you bit your lip, wanting so desperately to say the words that, you realised with some certainty, had been begging to be let out for a while. fuck it.
"i haven't been able to keep my eyes off you all day, alessia," you murmured. she risked a hesitant look up at you. nothing in her expression told you to stop, so you kept talking.
"i know you're happy on your own. i know you don't need anyone to 'complete you' or any of that other cliché crap. and i don't either. but i've got to see the complete you this week, and she's amazing. i haven't faked a second of today. and if i'm barking up the wrong tree here you can tell me to fuck off - you can go back to hating me like before and i won't say another word, but alessia, i don't want to just be your fake girlfriend anymore, i want the real thing,"
alessia smiled, and your breath caught at the sight. your hands shook as you awaited her reaction.
alessia leaned forward, inching closer to press her forehead against yours. her hand found your cheek, her touch as soft as satin. her breath ghosted against your lips as she spoke.
"so do i,"
you closed the gap. her lips were softer than you could've anticipated. they pressed into yours, slowly at first, then with a deep urgency. the kiss was messy; tear-stained and drunken, but the feel was electric. the dam broke on all the tension that had built between the two of you, and every ounce flooded out as pure desire. you wanted her, needed her, with a desperation you hadn't realised you could possess. your bodies curved into each other; the aftermath of every faked smile, every pretend touch, culminating in the most real feeling you'd ever had.
you broke away at some point, hazy and grinning. alessia's breathing was heavy, her eyes shining.
"we should go back. you probably shouldn't miss your brother's wedding,"
"right, yeah, of course," she smiled, wiping at her cheeks to try and fix the tear-stains as she stood. you reached out to help, then pulled back to take her in. you smirked.
"were you jealous of that girl?" she smacked your shoulder, but there was no bite in it. she leant in for another kiss.
"so fucking annoying," she muttered, smiling widely against your lips.
me saying i'm writing a short fic then posting the shittiest fucking slowburn you've ever read.
anyway, hope you enjoyed! love, hedge xx

Y/n's POV
"I don't understand why you're so angry Y/n?" Justin looked to me, my eyes narrowed "she was just a fri-"
"Shut the fuck up! you keep saying she was a friend but friends don't fuck each other" I screamed- it was killing me, my boyfriend of 6 years cheating on me with his 'friend', his friend who is his phone had hearts next to her name, every message had a 'xxx' at the end, winky faces and peaches shared until one day...today, I go to his apartment 5 minuets from mine to see him in bed, his hands laying on the red-heads hips
"I-it's just a miss understanding Y/n please!" he begged but I couldn't forgive him- not for this "look let me apologise and we can re-start"
"yeah after 6 whole years? good idea Justin let me just forget everything huh?" I yelled, his eyes dropped he knew I wasn't going to take it "just leave"
"no- Y/n I can make it up to you" he pleaded again and again, hands reaching for mine but I pulled away, backing from him
"get the fuck out of my house Justin" my voice was low "go through the fucking door and don't come back- get out" I watched him give me one more look and he left, leaving me with the haunting memories of him with someone else, those 6 years down the drain. The pain settled in quicker then expected, my chest heaved up and down as I sobbed into my pillow as I stared into the images of me and him dotted around my room, the light from the day slowly faded leaving me in darkness, only figures in my room kept me company, my face ached, my whole body did, especially my head so I decided to sleep, sleep would keep me safe, sleep was quiet, sleep was calm.
Kat's POV
Me, Sam and Colby walked into the house, it was silent, no music or tv playing which was unusual if Y/n and Justin were in "think they went out or something I mean its 9- might be like their date night?" Sam spoke putting his keys onto the kitchen island
"Maybe... I'll check up stairs" I smiled quickly leaving the two to find Y/n, I got to her door and pushed it open to see her room pitch black, not any of her candles lit, or lamp on "Y/n?" I whispered and a body shifted under the covers "Y/n, you okay?" I spoke coming in a little more to her room
"fine, just tired" she hummed turning over facing away from me in the doorway
"oh okay- where's Justin?" I asked, most days he's in the house, I mean he was meant to move in with us in a few weeks
"I dunno" she answered in a yawn, I oh'ed, the mood didn't feel right but I decided to leave her in peace, I closed the door and made my way into mine and Sam's room, he was sat on the bed flicking through his phone until he saw me walk in
"she okay?" he asked
"think so- said she is and she's tired" he nodded looking back to his phone "Justin isn't here though" his gaze flicked back up to which I just nodded
"he basically lives here, why wouldn't he be here? and its a Saturday night and ever since they got together he was here every weekend" I shrugged climbing in bed next to the blonde, resting my head on him
"who knows"
The night went by, and the three of us were up in the kitchen, the clock read '12:48pm' and Y/n was still In her room, still in silence, I told Colby what I had told Sam and he seemed just as confused, we decided to order some dinner, just something small and ordered Y/n some too, I was sure something had happened but... maybe I was thinking to much into it
"foods here" Sam spoke bring it in, Colby was half way up the stairs as he said he was going to go get his hoodie from his room "Colby grab Y/n" the other called getting a thumbs up by him
Colby's POV
I jumped up the rest of the stairs going to Y/n's room first, it was weird for her not to be up, she's always awake before me at least but the house was just missing her, I knocked twice before hearing a voice murmur a small 'come in' I pushed it open and saw her body curled in her coves, curtains pulled shut, and tissues thrown onto the floor "hey- you okay?" I asked coming over to the side of the bed where it was empty. Her eyes flickered open and looked up to me
"yeah- think I'm getting Ill" she hummed, sitting herself up, I looked to her face and saw her nose was red and eyes glossy "just a cold"
"hm yeah- we've got dinner down stairs, got you a burger and fries" I spoke as I watched her, she nodded pulling her sheets away and crawling out the side she walked past me and straight to the stairs, I followed forgetting my hoodie and just went to her side, I could see her clearly now, mascara around her eyes along with dark circles, her hair wet on one side, the usual dark lipstick she wore, smudged against her cheek
"hey Y/n" Kat smiled passing her a bag of food "feeling better?"
"no don't feel it- thanks for the food but I think I'll eat up stairs- don't wanna make you guys sick" she spoke, her voice sounding gravelly and tired
"Y/n we don't care, come sit on the couch with us- we can watch a film or something- we have yours and Justins favourite, Tita-" Sam went to continue until the girl beside me face dropped
"I don't wanna sit down here" was the last thing she snapped before hurrying away and her door slammed, I looked to the others who just stood stunned...
the week carried on, time passing by as it does and still no sight of Y/n, I was getting worried she's never like this, I sat alone down stairs as Kat and Sam had gone out somewhere and the only thing that went through my mind was her, I couldn't help the fact I was thinking of her, Y/n's never in her room if someones in the house or if she is in her room- someones with her
but why is she acting off- everything was so different, I couldn't help but be nosey, it was all in good intention of course, thats what I kept telling myself as I stood ear to the door of her room just listening; her voice mumbled incoherent words, small little cries leaving her every so often, my body relaxed a little to much and I ended up falling against the door "Colby?" her voice called 'fuck' I cursed to myself before pushing her door open again "were you fucking listening through my door?" her tone was angry, a cry halting in her throat
"Look I'm sorry but I'm worried about you" I said, I didn't want to keep it from her, I was worried, scared even "you didn't even eat your food" I spoke looking to the bag still sat scrunched on her desk "what happened?"
"I'm fine Colby okay? For days people keep fucking asking me if I'm okay and I fucking am" she ragged the sheet over her "just get the fuck out"
"Y/n you're not fucking fine- I've known you long enough to know this isn't how you act all the time" I didn't mean for my voice to raise at her but I was annoyed but not with her, she was going through something and didn't want to admit it "what happened" I said, my voice stern. The covers flipped from her body, her eyes welled with tears, face wet
"He fucking cheated on me- There better? you know now, my boyfriend of 6 years cheated on me because I'm not good enough for him and I can't think straight, I feel sick all the goddamn time and all I have every hour is 'you okay Y/n?' No I'm fucking not" her voice broke, the sobs that once heaved in her chest being released
"I'm sorry" I spoke, coming next to her bed, she looked up to me and her face snapped, pearls of tears slipping down her cheeks
"Why wasn't I good enough, Colbs?" she whispered, her voice choked with sorrow, her head buried in her hands. I couldn't bear to see her in such pain. Without thinking, my arms enveloped her fragile frame, pulling her close to my chest as I settled on the edge of her mattress.
"You're more than good enough, Y/n – I promise you that," I reassured her, my voice a soothing balm against the storm of emotions raging within her. Y/n's face found refuge in the curve of my neck, and I could feel the warmth of her tears seeping into my skin. It broke my heart to witness her suffering. "Did he do anything to hurt you?" I asked gently, my concern deepening as I held her tighter. She shook her head, her breath hitching between sobs.
"He... he just said she was a friend, but then I walked in on them having sex at his apartment," she confessed, the pain evident in every word. My fingers traced gentle patterns along her back, offering what little comfort I could. "I just don't understand why," she continued, her eyes red and swollen from the tears. I nodded, listening intently as she poured her heart out.
"He's just stupid, Y/n. You're nothing but perfect," I whispered, my hand tenderly cupping her jaw, guiding her to look into my eyes. "He's the one who's made the biggest mistake of his life by letting someone as amazing as you slip away."
She nodded, her tear-stained eyes reflecting a mix of vulnerability and gratitude. In that moment, as I held her close, I vowed to be her pillar of support – a reminder that despite the pain, she was deserving of love and happiness. Together, we would navigate through the shadows, and I would do everything in my power to mend the shattered pieces of her heart.
"thanks Colby" Y/n smiled, hugging herself back into my chest

thinking about tinky winky (purple lino) and begging cute boyfriend minho to dye his hair purple again and because bunny loves loves loves compliments it turns into a “so you think i’m pretty huh☺️” fest of him fishing for praise from his partner -🌸
cherry blossom anon, I may have accidentally forgot to put in compliments and instead it turned into a 750 word fic about dyeing his hair. I hope that's okay. Mayhap I'll revisit this featuring the compliments and ... other thing.
You aren’t above begging. You aren’t above a lot of things, actually, as proven by the way you’re currently on your knees in front of your boyfriend, hands clasped together like you’re praying.
“Minho, please. I’ll do anything. Literally anything. I’ll unclog the tub drain myself next time, I’ll give you earth-shattering head, pleasepleaseplease.” He looks at you, mildly confused from where you’ve ambushed him at your front door before the realization dawns and his eyes narrow.
“You’re kidding me right now.” He toes his shoes off.
“I’m not. Please, you looked so hot I don’t see why you won’t let me.” He’s walking towards the kitchen and you follow after him, still on your knees.
“Are you saying that I don’t look hot now?”
“Don’t put words in my mouth. You just looked so good with the hair, please. Stay will literally thank me.”
“They’ll think it was skzigi.”
“I’ll roleplay as JYP Entertainment staff if that’s what it takes, Lee Minho.” He sighs, throwing his head back towards the ceiling while mumbling. Your boyfriend isn’t religious, he’s one of the few members of his group who has never had any particular faith, but you think he might be praying for something right now.
“If you don’t want to, you don’t have to. I’m mostly just doing all of this for the bit.” You’re standing now, hand on his shoulder as you peer at him, worried that you might have taken it a step too far.
“Shh. I’m trying to think of how I’ll explain this to our manager and Chan without getting my head lobbed off.” You smile, wide and beaming as you clap your hands excitedly, rushing off to the bathroom and reappearing next to him with a bag in your hands.
“Great! When you come up with a good excuse meet me in the bathroom.”
“How did you- Why- You didn’t even know I was going to say yes!”
“You’re right, I didn’t. I was going to save it for a rainy day, or use it on myself.” And with that, you’re gone, leaving Minho alone in the kitchen as he imagines how hot you would look with purple hair.
“Wait,” he calls after you, setting his half-opened ramen packet on the counter and turning, “did you buy enough for two people?”
-
“Are you sure you don’t want me to shower?” He asks, sitting backwards on the toilet lid as you mix the bleach.
“I didn’t go to hair school, so I’m not an expert, but I did dye my friends’ hair all throughout highschool and we had better results with less damage when their hair was gross so, yes. I’m sure.”
“That smells awful.”
“It’s almost like its chemicals.”
“I’ll leave.”
“There’s already bleach in your hair, if you leave now you’ll have awful streaks that even the most diehard LeeKnower wouldn’t be able to justify.” He huffs at that, mumbling something about how Stays aren’t that shallow and you reply with a comment about Hyunjin’s Maxident hair that shuts him up.
“He looked good,” he starts and you sigh, head dropping forward. “I don’t see what they were so upset about.”
“I know, dear.”
“He suits short hair!”
“He does.”
“It fit the concept!”
“It did.”
“Yah!” He turns, hitting your arm lightly and almost knocking the bleach bowl out of your hands. “You aren’t listening.”
“My apologies for not wanting to hear my boyfriend wax poetic about another man’s hair.”
-
“How long does this have to sit for?”
“Ask me that again and I’ll leave it in until you go bald.”
-
The bleach is washed out and his head’s half purple before he looks at his phone and his eyes go wide.
“What’s up?” You’re busy drawing shapes on his head with the dye.
“Hannie is calling.”
“So answer it.”
“It’s video.”
“Say that you’re naked.”
“Like that’s stopped me before.”
“Say that I’m naked.” The call promptly drops.
-
“How long does this have to sit for?”
“Do you give the hairstylists at the company this much trouble?”
“No.”
“I’m shaving you bald.”
-
His hair has been rinsed and blow dried and you’ve been making eyes at him for the past ten minutes while he shoves ramen noodles in his mouth.
“Can you stop staring so hard? My head’s about to catch fire.” His mouth is full.
“No. No I cannot.” His eyes roll and he sets his now empty bowl down.
“So… about that ‘earth-shattering head’ you mentioned?”

“And this is going to be your desk,” you smiled, excited but keeping your voice down. Sarah made a quiet squeal back at you. “See, I can see you from my desk so you can make faces at me while I’m dealing with the boring accounts people. I’m manifesting it, I swear I am.”
“I’m seriously about to make a fucking moodboard if it’ll help,” she sat on the desk, her legs dangling over the edge. “I miss Austin. I didn’t think I’d miss it this much but I really do. Seattle was way more fun when you were there, now all I do is try to convince myself that my job is totally worth the 500 days of rain we get every year.”
You laughed.
“Something tells me it’s not quite that many.”
“Feels like that many,” she rolled her eyes. “Now please. I need BBQ.”
You shook your head and laughed before heading to the elevators to go to lunch with your best friend.
Joel had texted you a warning with his usual good morning text that day.
“Good morning, Beautiful,” he wrote. “Really miss feeling you right before I fall asleep. Please tell me you’re not busy tomorrow night. Heads up, expect Sarah to drop in on you today. I have to be at a site for a few hours and she mentioned stopping by your office. She’ll probably invite you to the cookout we’re having tonight - up to you if you want to come.”
You frowned when you read it. “Up to you if you want to come.” What the fuck did that mean?
“Miss feeling you too,” you added a heart emoji. “Only plans I have for tomorrow night involve you ripping my clothes off.”
You rapped your nails against your phone, waiting to see if he’d text back before you started getting ready for the day but he didn’t. You sighed. He probably had to be on site early and couldn’t use his phone.
“Goddammit,” you muttered, putting your face in your pillow and groaning. How were you supposed to navigate this?
Did Joel want you to come but was trying to keep the pressure off? Did he not want you anywhere near him when Sarah was in town?
Yes, he’d spent a fair bit of time fucking your brains out over the past few weeks but, in reality, he wasn’t anything to you. He was a guy you’d gone out with once, he wasn’t your boyfriend, he didn’t have to invite you over for anything let alone something that might make him feel uncomfortable because you were friends with his kid. Even though, to you, he felt like so much more than some guy you were fucking. So, so much more.
And also your best friend’s dad.
Because fate was a cruel, cruel thing.
You checked your phone every few minutes as you got ready for work but the messages sat on delivered. You sighed and resisted the urge to text again and just kept checking your phone every few minutes in your office, too.
“Wouldn’t argue with some help in the clothing removal department,” he wrote. “I’m going to want you naked fast. Requesting something with easy access so I can get inside you ASAP.”
You smiled and shook your head a little.
“Still warm enough for a sundress,” you sent a winky face emoji with that and briefly considered going to the bathroom to take a selfie that involved an unprofessional amount of cleavage.
“Jesus Christ,” he sent back. “Pull me in a restroom wearing one of those and we’re not stopping at you humping my leg.”
“Counting on it,” you wrote, smiling a little wider before deciding to just bite the bullet. “Did you want me to go tonight? If Sarah asks?”
“What’s go you smiling so big?”
You almost jumped out of your skin when you saw Sarah leaning against the doorframe to your office.
“Good lord, girl, we gotta put a bell on you,” you smiled anyway, being sure to lock your phone before getting up to hug her. “What are you doing here?”
“My dad had some client issue so I figure I’d come visit my bestie,” she gave you a squeeze before stepping back from you. “Plus I’m dying to see where I’m going to commute to every day once they finally let me come here.”
Sarah picked the restaurant, a BBQ place that wasn’t far from your office and only offered wooden picnic tables sitting under a rusted metal awning for seating.
“Oh this is going to be good shit,” you said, taking a deep breath, the smell of smoked meat heavy on the air. “I can tell.”
“Knew you’d love this place,” she smiled. “Kind of surprised my dad hasn’t taken you here already, actually.”
You froze for half a second before regaining your composure.
“We’ve only gone out the one time since the first time we met up,” you shrugged. “Can’t exactly show me the entire city in that time.”
The two of you got in line, the place starting to get crowded now that it was pushing noon.
“I know,” she rolled her eyes. “I just really thought you guys would hit it off I guess.”
Well you’d definitely done that.
“Does it really bother you that I’m not hitting the town with your dad more?” You asked, teasing.
“Kind of, actually,” she laughed. “You know those stupid TV episodes they do where the cast of one show goes on another show?”
“The crossover ones?” You frowned.”
“Right,” she nodded. The line moved and the two of you stepped forward. “This was like… my real life crossover episode and it just kinda flopped. Like my two favorite characters finally were in the same place and just didn’t have the chemistry for good TV.”
Yeah, chemistry? Not your issue with Joel.
“I’ll be sure to lodge your complaint with the writers,” you said dryly. “Tell them to get their shit together.”
You talked Sarah into ordering the meats you didn’t so you could try at least a bite of everything and you were almost uncomfortably full when you dropped your final wet napkin on the butcher paper covered tray in front of you.
“Oh, hey, meant to ask you before,” she said, polishing off her Dr. Pepper. “Did you have any plans tonight? My dad caved and is grilling out. My Uncle Tommy is coming over, his wife Maria, a few neighbors who have known me since I was in diapers and who can tell you every embarrassing thing I’ve ever done…”
“I don’t think they can tell me about the time you got drunk at karaoke night and tried to take the mic from that guy who was making an ass of himself,” you smirked.
Sarah groaned, throwing her head back and laughing.
“Oh my God, I forgot about that!”
You laughed, too, and took a second to check your phone to see if Joel had gotten back to you.
He had.
“Love for you to come,” he wrote. “Just going to be hell keeping my hands to myself all night. But would rather do that than not see you.”
You smiled a little and put your phone down.
“Yeah, I’ll come,” you said. “Just tell me what I can bring.”
You were almost giddy by the time you got home. It’s not like you’d seen Joel every day since you’d met him but the option always felt like it was there. You’d only texted a bit since the phone sex Sunday and it felt like it had been eons since you’d gotten to touch him. You wondered if it would be weird if you gave him a hug when Sarah was there. You could get away with a hug, right?
You pulled out a few outfit options, trying to find something that would make Joel want to check you out but not look like you were trying to get him to check you out. You pulled the shirts out and hung them on your floor length mirror so they were next to each other when you got an idea.
You stripped out of your work clothes and changed into your favorite matching bra and panty set, standing in front of the mirror with the shirts still hanging on it, arranging yourself so you could see your body between the clothes. You took a picture.
“Which shirt for tonight?” You typed, sending the picture to Joel.
He responded while you were jumping into your jeans, the denim tight on your thighs and hips.
“You’re cruel, you know that right?” He wrote. “I vote green. Feel like you’ll cause less trouble in the green.”
The green was a little tamer, you supposed. The v-neck wasn’t quite as low, the eyelet lace softer and almost girlish. You smiled a little.
“You’re right,” you wrote back. “Black it is.”
Black was a wrap top, with a deeper v-neck, something that would highlight your curves even more. And give Joel easy access.
“You’re a menace,” he texted.
“I know :)”
You got dressed and stopped by HEB on your way over, picking up a dozen bottles of Shiner. You’d had to consciously toe the line of trying without trying too hard and you stomach was in knots as you walked up to his front door. What if your hair or your makeup or your shoes or the tightness of your jeans screamed “I’m fucking the man who lives in this house”?
But you took a deep breath and rang the doorbell anyway. It didn’t take long for it Sarah to rip it open with a squeal, pulling you inside.
“I’m so glad you came!” She said, jumping a little as she pulled away from you. “This is going to be so much fun, I promise. See, we’re going to do shit like this all the time when I move down here. We gotta manifest it, girl, I’m telling you. It’s even more fun when it’s summer and people want to swim because getting drunk in a pool that’s not open to every other idiot in your apartment complex is seriously the best pass time.”
“I can only imagine,” you smiled. “And, I brought beer!”
You held up the six packs just as Joel went rushing past, on his way to the kitchen. But he doubled back and stopped, a slow smile spreading across his face as he looked you up and down from over Sarah’s shoulder. You smirked just a little and he shook his head slightly, smiling.
“Good to see you,” he said, stepping around Sarah for a somewhat awkward hug. He lowered his voice, his lips next to your ear, speaking so softly you could barely hear him. “Menace.”
He stepped back and you smiled wider.
“Good to see you, too.”
Joel took the beers from your hands and his eyes lingered a little too long on your chest - not that you were arguing.
“Come on,” Sarah slipped her hand into yours. “I want you to meet everybody!”
She tugged you along behind her to the backyard, you giving Joel an apologetic smirk over your shoulder, people standing in little clusters around the pool. You spotted Joel’s brother immediately, the resemblance hard to miss. He was standing next to a beautiful woman with braids half way down her back, his arm around her waist. You smiled a little. You remembered dropping Sarah off at the airport when she flew down the year before for her uncle’s wedding.
“Have fun!” You said, putting her duffle bag on her shoulder as your car sat with the emergency flashers on in the loading zone.
“Yeah, this is going to be a disaster,” she said. “There’s no way they’re making it down the aisle. I haven’t met Maria but it’s Tommy. He’s jumped from woman to woman since before I was born, the day he settles down is the day hell freezes over.”
When you picked her up again three days later, she had a different story.
“So did they actually get hitched?” You asked as she flopped heavily into the passenger seat.
“Holy shit, they did. She is the only woman on the planet who could actually get him to settle down,” she said. “And by some miracle, she wanted to. No accounting for taste with some people…”
You laughed and headed to your favorite bar to hear all about it. You hadn’t really expected to ever really meet him except maybe in passing at Sarah’s wedding one day. Now you were meeting him in your - boyfriend’s? Fuck buddy’s? Who knows what’s? - backyard.
“Tommy, Maria!” Sarah called as the two of you worked your way around the pool. “Got someone for you to meet, she’s new in town and in desperate need of social contacts.”
She made the introductions and Tommy laughed when he heard your name.
“The infamous best friend,” he smiled, pulling you in for a hug. “She as bad an influence on you as she was on me?”
“Oh shut up,” she rolled her eyes.
“She talked me into grand larceny once,” Tommy said, pointing accusingly at Sarah with the beer bottle in his hand.
“Did she now?” You asked, brows raised.
“Oh yes,” he nodded, smiling cheekily. “She was seven and Joel said she couldn’t have all her Halloween candy on Halloween…”
“A crime, really,” she smiled, grabbing Tommy’s beer and taking a drink before giving it back.
“And she was so cute, these big eyes and her little princess costume and her hair going in about a million different directions…”
“Yeah, Dad hadn’t figured out how to handle that yet,” she laughed a little.
“I caved,” Tommy said. “I put up a valiant fight…”
“You said yes immediately!” Sarah scoffed. “I barely even had to pout…”
“She was a monster,” Tommy cut her off. “I was at her mercy, I swear!”
“And then what happened?” Joel asked, joining your little circle with two beers in hand. He wordlessly pressed one into your palm. You smiled a little at him and he brushed his hand down your spine on his way to putting it in his back pocket. “C’mon, you two partners in crime, finish that story. What happened?”
“Nothing that bad,” Tommy waved him off.
“Yeah, it was fine,” Sarah said. “No lasting damage…”
“For you two maybe,” Joel laughed. “I was the one who was up until 3 in the morning washing all her bedding and scrubbin’ the wall of her room because she projectile vomited three pounds of candy like she was starring in the damn Exorcist.”
You laughed as Sarah and Tommy both tried to downplay it and Maria just lovingly patted her husband’s shoulder, rolling her eyes. While everyone was distracted, you snuck a look at Joel. Just a second to actually look at his face as he laughed and smiled with his family. It was a little unfair, how good looking he was. Somehow both rugged and soft, handsome and beautiful and you had to resist the urge to reach up and twist your fingers in his slightly unruly curls. You looked back at Sarah before anyone said anything and took a sip of beer.
Sarah got sidetracked talking with Tommy and you took advantage of it, leaning in to whisper in Joel’s ear.
“You’re really hot,” you said quietly. “Also, I got you a present, it’s in my purse.”
“Oh really?” He raised his eyebrows, a devious look on his face.
You rolled your eyes.
“Not that exciting,” you said.
“What are you two conspiring about?” Maria asked and you almost flinched as Tommy and Sarah turned their attention to you.
“Just how to get this one to stop meddlin’,” Joel said smoothly, nodding to his daughter.
“I do not meddle,” she replied. “I just nudge people in the right direction. Because I’m smarter than them.”
You got along well with Joel’s brother and sister-in-law. Tommy seemed more like a big brother to Sarah than an uncle, which made sense when they talked about her childhood years. Tommy was six years younger than Joel, just 16 when Sarah came into the world. So while he adored his niece, he wasn’t exactly mature enough to be a parent-like figure. It sounded like he’d helped his brother out a lot but had been more of a friend to Sarah than anything else.
You liked watching her and Joel with their friends and family, the easy familiarity of it all, the comfort of having history with people. It was something that was missing from your life.
Sure, you liked your life. You liked it quite a bit, actually. You had a job you enjoyed that paid you good money, you’d lived in some interesting places - Seattle, three years in New York City, an internship in Chicago, even Washington D.C. for a bit - and you could do just about whatever you wanted whenever you wanted. That was the beauty of not having anything to tie you down. The cost just meant not having roots and, sometimes, that hurt.
Joel disappeared inside at one point and, after taking quick stock of the backyard to make sure no one else was inside with him, you followed. You slipped into the entry and grabbed your purse, pulling out the bag of Fire Sour Patch Kids you’d seen in the candy aisle on your way to grab beer when you stopped at the store earlier that day.
Joel was in the kitchen cutting vegetables for burger toppings and you climbed on the counter next to the cutting board. He looked up at you out of the corner of his eye, trying to hide his smile while he shook his head.
“Meant what I said about you bein’ a menace,” he said, his eyes on the knife. “You’re torture. Beautiful torture but torture.”
“We aim to please,” you smiled, holding out the candy. He frowned for a second, drying his hands on his jeans, before he laughed and took the bag. “Warned you it wasn’t exciting…”
“This is great, Beautiful,” he leaned in and kissed you lightly, like it was an automatic thing, as though you did this in his kitchen all the time. “Been wantin’ to try these and then I never buy the damn things….”
“I’ll help you eat them if they suck,” you smiled. “And you can help me eat them if they don’t.”
He smiled again and moved in front of you, nudging your legs apart so he was standing between your thighs  and he leaned in and kissed you - really kissed you. His tongue dipped into your mouth, his hands sliding up your legs to your waist as he tugged you closer. You draped your arms over his shoulders and pressed yourself against him and savored his touch. Fuck, you’d missed this. It had only been a few days but it felt like an eternity of him being out of reach and it was almost reassuring to feel the way his hands fit against your body even after some time apart.
“Fuck, you’re trouble,” he was breathless when he pulled away from you, his hands still on your body. “Just couldn’t wear the green, could ya?”
“And miss out on this?” You teased, running your fingers through his hair. “Never.”
Sarah sat between the two of you at dinner, the best spot for you and Joel to be in when you thought about it. Next to you was too much temptation, you’d end up touching each other and then not be able to help yourselves and that was bad.
Across wasn’t great, either, as you’d discovered at dinner the other night. If you could just check each other out the whole night, that wasn’t the safe way to go. Not to mention the opportunities for playing footsie under the table.
No no, you needed a better way to keep your hands to yourselves and Sarah was a great barrier for that - both literally and metaphorically - and you managed to get through the meal without any big slip ups. Something you were pretty damn proud of, if you did say so yourself.
You excused yourself to the bathroom as things were in that easy after dinner conversation stage of the evening, everyone pleasantly full and a little drunk, Sarah laughing with a neighbor from down the street whose name you’d forgotten. But when you opened the bathroom door to head back outside, Joel was there, pushing you back into the room and closing the door behind him.
“Joel!” You hissed, his hands on your waist.
“You really can’t expect me to wait when you show up lookin’ this damn good,” he growled, boosting you up so you were perched on the edge of the sink. “Everyone’s too busy to even notice we’re gone…”
His mouth found your neck and your chest as he untied your top, his tongue and teeth ranging over your skin and you couldn’t help but moan at his attention, your body already feeling warm and wanting. Joel stepped back from you a he fully opened your shirt, revealing your body to him as though it were some wondrous thing, moaning as he did.
“Fuck Beautiful,” his hands trailed up your exposed skin to cup your breasts through your bra. “Ain’t fair how one person can look this damn good…”
“Had to pull you away from the grill somehow,” you smiled, tugging him back against you and kissing him. He kissed you back, getting more and more desperate as he did. He pulled your breasts free of their cups so he could suck at them and hold them in his large hands, moaning into you. Your hands ran down his body to find his cock hard in his jeans, feeling him through the fabric, desperately wishing you could just rip all his clothes off and get him inside you.
“Think you can come from just your clit?” He asked, breathless, as he licked and sucked your neck.
“Yes,” you moaned. “Think you can come from just my hand?”
“It’d take less than that,” he panted as he opened your jeans and slid his hand inside as best he could, his finger finding your clit quickly. He ghosted over it with his finger, making you squirm and moan. “Fuck, Beautiful, you close already?”
“Maybe,” you panted as he pressed a little harder against the sensitive nub. You reached down to pull out his cock to start jerking him off but he caught your hand. You whined a little.
“Not yet,” he kissed back up to your mouth, holding his lips a fraction of an inch away from yours. “Lemme take care of you…”
He kissed you then, his tongue slipping into you as his finger pressed into your clit. You groaned and rocked your hips on him and you felt him smile against your lips. He started rubbing you in slow, aching circles, adding a little pressure every time around, matching his kiss to the pace of his fingers. You moaned desperately against him and he picked up his pace, working you over until you were gasping into his mouth while you came from his fingers.
“Fuck,” you panted as Joel slipped his hand from your pants. “How are you so goddamn good at that?”
“You’re so pretty when you come it’s easy to remember what does it,” he replied, stepping back from you. You slid off the sink but, instead of fixing your bra and closing your shirt, you dropped to your knees and started unzipping his fly. “Baby…”
“I can be quick,” you said, looking up at him through your eyelashes as you freed his cock. You never really got used to hot big he was - thick, heavy, long. But you’d be fine choking on him if it meant making him come.
You started by licking his head and he let out a shuddering little moan and you smiled a little, lapping at the dripping pre-come at his slit like he was your favorite flavor of ice cream. Which, he kind of was. Heady and masculine and Joel, knowing that he was dripping because of you made you want him even more.
Instead of taking the more gradual route, you took him into your mouth and throat all at once, having to swallow around the head of him as he pushed past your gag reflex. His hand flew to your head, fingers twisting in your hair and sinking into the thin layer of flesh over your skull.
“Oh fuck,” he panted. “Oh my fucking god…..”
You sucked him and moaned, the vibration of your vocal chords working the tip of him as it was lodged in your throat. You pressed your tongue against the thick vein that ran along the underside of him before you started pulling back, his grip on your head relaxing just enough to let you do it. You worked is cock up and down, sucking and licking and taking him into your mouth until you started to cough. He panted and moaned as you worked him until, eventually, he was clinging to the sink to stay upright.
“Fuck, please Baby, I need to come,” he groaned. You smiled as much as you could when your mouth was full of his thick cock. “Lemme… can I…”
You looked up at him, eyes wide, as you slid down him so he was buried in your mouth to the root and you hummed your approval. His hands immediately flew to your head and he started fucking into your mouth. You took it, swallowing past your gag reflex with each deep stroke. He didn’t last long, just a few pumps, before he was spilling into you, moaning quietly as he did. You swallowed it all, his cock so deep in your throat you could barely even taste him as he pumped his come into you.
“Fuck,” he all but collapsed against the sink and you carefully slid his cock from your mouth and got up, wiping your mouth on the back of your wrist. You adjusted your bra and tied your shirt again.
“Worth it?” You teased.
“Jesus Christ woman,” he groaned. “You’re gonna kill me.”
You smiled and kissed his cheek before you went to leave the bathroom but he grabbed your arm, pulling you back against him to kiss you deep and long. You tried to hide your surprise. Other guys you’d been with weren’t huge on kissing you after you went down on them. Joel didn’t seem to mind. But then, Joel just wasn’t like other men. You smiled as you pulled back from him and he laughed a little.
“What?” You frowned.
“We made a mess of your makeup,” he jerked his head toward the mirror, tucking his cock back in his pants as you checked your reflection. Your lipstick had smeared and you laughed a little, too.
“Good thing I have more in my bag,” you said, grabbing a sheet of toilet paper and cleaning up what you could. “See you back out there?”
“Once I remember how to walk again,” he teased.
It was sheer luck that Maria came in to use the bathroom as you adjusted your lipstick in the entryway mirror and not a few minutes earlier and you popped a breath mint so you could think about something besides the fact that the last thing in your mouth had been Joel’s cock when you talked with Sarah.
You left only about an hour later, giving Sarah a long hug as she walked you to your car.
“I’ll be back again soon for Thanksgiving,” she smiled, squeezing you tight. “Just manifest with me!”
“I’m manifesting so hard I might break something,” you smiled back, trying to ignore the knot of guilt in your stomach about hiding something so big from her.
“And seriously,” she said, stepping back from you. “If you need a friend before I get down here…”
“Call the whole Miller clan,” you smiled. “I got it.”
“Good,” she said. “We’ll just make a Miller out of you yet.”
You tried to ignore how your heart skipped a beat at the thought of that.
“Sounds good to me.”
Joel came straight to your place after dropping Sarah off at the airport the next night. You answered the door in a sundress - as promised - expecting to go to dinner.
Which, in hindsight, was foolish.
“Fuck,” you said, looking Joel up and down. He had flowers. He was in a plain, dark t-shirt that was tight around his biceps, his jeans hanging just right on his hips.
“What?” He frowned.
“Just get in here and let me fuck you,” you said, grabbing his shirt and pulling him into your apartment.
The flowers were quickly abandoned on the breakfast bar in your kitchen as you kissed him, tugging his shirt off and casting it aside before you dragged him to the bedroom.
“We gotta eat at some point tonight, Baby,” he said between kisses as you shoved him down on the bed.
“That’s fine,” you panted, stepping out of your panties and casting them aside. “We can do this twice.”
“Fuck, you’re fucking perfect,” he said, lifting his hips so he could slide his pants down a little and sitting so his back was against your headboard. He started working his cock, already hard in the palm of his hand. You straddled him, the skirt of your dress hiding your dripping pussy and his leaking cock from view. He kept one hand on his cock but the other went to your hips as you lowered yourself toward him until your pussy brushed his thick head. “Oh shit, fuck Beautiful, I need… Fuck, need inside you, I need to be inside you…”
“I know,” you breathed before sinking onto his cock with a shaking moan. His other hand flew to your waist, too, pulling you down on him so his whole length was sheathed within you. You panted for breath as your body adjusted to the intrusion. “I need you, too.”
“Fuck,” his head fell back against the headboard. “Fuck, you feel so fucking good every time, s’like I belong in this pussy, like your pussy was made to take this cock.”
“Made to ride this cock,” you moaned, starting to rise and fall over him with a satisfied groan. Joel somehow hit all the right angles inside you, the thickness of his shaft stretching you deliciously, his head finding the sensitive place deep inside you and pressing against it, making your pussy start to tighten around him.
“Oh shit,” his grip on you got firmer, his fingers sinking into the soft flesh of you. “Want you to come on this cock, Beautiful. Want you to use me to get yourself off, fuck, Baby, make yourself come on my cock…”
You buried your face in his neck and breathed in his deep, clean, masculine scent and started riding him harder, adjusting your hips so your clit was leaving an obscene, messy streak of your slick up and down his bare stomach. You licked and sucked at his neck as you rode him, fucking down on him hard and fast and grinding your clit against him. As your body tightened, you sat up straighter, pressing your forehead to his own so you could see his face, the liquid heat in you centering around where he was inside you until you came with a desperate moan around him.
“There we go,” he almost sounded like he was in pain he was so desperate. “Fuck, you come so fuckin’ pretty Baby, so goddamn pretty. Feel so good, coming on my cock, better than anything else, fuck Beautiful, I can’t…”
Joel took control of your hips then, pumping you up and down his shaft and you tried to help as best you could as you rode out your orgasm. His hips fucked up into you hard and fast until he was emptying himself into you, moaning as he did.
You collapsed on top of him, panting for breath and he went from holding your hips to wrapping his arms around you, holding you close to him. You stayed like that for a few minutes, your breaths synchronizing as you both came back down from our highs.
“So,” you said, breathing not quite back to normal yet. “Dinner?”
He laughed.
“Dinner.”
When you fell asleep in Joel’s arms that night, all naked and entwined with him, you were starting to think that you could get used to this. That you wanted to do this all the time, every day. Do all of life’s stupid little things with him, go grocery shopping with him and pay the water bill with him and deal with traffic jams with him.
You just weren’t sure how to talk about that yet.
But that was OK. You were getting there, you could tell.
When Joel kissed you goodbye in the morning, he brushed your hair back from your forehead so he could kiss you there too.
“Leaving already?” You mumbled.
“‘Fraid so,” he said softly. “Need to get an early start at the job site. Can I see you tonight?”
You just hummed in response. He frowned.
“That’s a yes, I hope,” he said. You nodded and you opened your eyes just enough to see him smile broadly. “I’ll text you. Have a good day, Baby.”
“You too,” you mumbled into your pillow.
When you got up an hour later, there was a sticky note on your coffee maker, telling you to check your fridge. Inside was an iced latte from the coffee shop down the street and you smiled so big it was hard to do your makeup as you got ready to go.
You were still on cloud nine when you were getting ready to take a client to lunch that afternoon, doing a last check of your makeup when you got a call from the reception desk downstairs.
“Someone’s here for you,” the receptionist sounded skeptical. “I’m not letting him back without you.”
“No problem,” you laughed. “We’re going off site for lunch, tell him I’ll be down in a minute.”
You went to the lobby, looking for someone who at least vaguely resembled the headshot from your client’s website when you did a double take.
The man sitting on the couch in reception smiled when he saw you and your heart sank into your stomach as he headed for you.
“Hey Angel,” he smiled.
You couldn’t smile back.
“Shit.”

Summary: The pack gets the video Sunshine and Aether made for them. It goes as well as anyone can expect.
The ritual was over. The last one of the year. The ghouls had used what last of their energy they had to run straight to the tour bus. Now they all sit curled up in the little lounge area, slowly being rocked to sleep as it drives them to the hotel they’ll be at for the night before leaving in the morning.
There’s a little ding and Phantom’s ear twitches. He picks up his phone and squints at the brightness. His tail thumbs against the couch when he reads the message.
“Guys look! Sunny and Aeth sent us a video!”
Swiss leans over and reads the message “Miss you guys. See you soon with a winky face.”
The others shift closer to Phantom wanting to see what those two could’ve possibly sent.
“Come on, play it!” Aurora calls.
Phantom leans his head against Rain’s shoulder as he presses play.
The pack is immediately greeted by the sight of Sunshine pushing Aether to sit on the edge of her bed, climbing into his lap. She kisses him hard and slips her hands up and under his shirt. She rolls her hips when she latches her mouth to the side of his neck.
Everyone is suddenly a lot more energized than they were five minutes ago.
Phantom has to clamp his hands on his mouth to stifle a whine when Aether pulls off his shirt before taking off Sunny’s and sucking a nipple into his mouth. The pack hisses at him for dropping the phone. Swiss quickly picks it up, holding his arms out so everyone can see.
“Go back dumbass” Dew growls from where he was sitting on the floor leaning against Rain’s legs.
“Fuck you think I was doing” Swiss doesn’t even look at him, too focused on the task at hand.
Phantom tries to apologize but it comes out muffled around his hands.
Rain leans over and places a kiss on his cheek, hand moving to rest on his thigh.
“You know how impatient Dew is. He’ll probably already have his hand around his dick at this point” Sunny’s voice cracks through the speaker.
Everyone’s heads immediately snap up and turn to look at Dew who is in fact palming himself through the sweats he threw on after the ritual.
Aurora and Cumulus burst out laughing. Dew hisses at them but doesn’t make a move to stop what he’s started.
“You’re too fucking easy firecracker” Swiss pushes him lightly with his foot.
“Please, we both know it’ll be Swiss first” Aether’s voice comes from the phone.
“What were you saying there buddy?” Cirrus flicks the side of his head.
“If we’re talking about firsts then I know exactly who it’ll be”
“Who do you have in mind?”
“Come on smart guy, it's so obvious.”
“Phantom” they say in unison.
The ghoul in question makes another attempt to smother the whine that leaves his throat. It doesn’t help that Rain has his hand down Phantom’s pants. All eyes turn to him and he blushes hard, lichtenberg scars flashing for a moment. Rain chuckles feeling his dick twitch in his hand.
“Save it for the hotel Rain” Mountain chuffs out.
Rain rolls his eyes “Not like we all haven’t seen it before.”
His eyes rake over Mountain, head cocked in a challenge. Though when his eyes catch on the outline of Mountain’s dick through his pants, he quickly realizes why he wants him to stop.
The pack turns their attention back to the phone, silence only broken with little inhales of breath or muffled groans. Despite Mountain’s warning nobody makes a move to stop groping each other. It only gets worse as the video goes on.
Sunshine showing her hole to the camera as she sucks Aether off.
The audible creak of the bed when Aether pulls against the red rope around his wrists.
Sunny continuing to throw her head over her shoulder to look at the camera, calling out her packmates while she fucks into Aether.
It all comes crashing down when Aether’s voice rings out in the silence of the bus. He moans out each of their names with every thrust from Sunshine. Begging for them.
Dew has to squeeze the base of his cock to stop himself from cumming right then and there.
Phantom isn’t so lucky, spilling in his pants. On Rain’s hand.
Swiss has to hold the phone in one hand while the other rubs at the bulge in his sweats.
Cirrus has one hand under Aurora’s shirt and the other in her shorts.
Cumulus’ attention is caught between those two and the video, hand starting to wander down to the waistband of her pants.
Mountain stands and storms off to the bunks, growl low in his throat. Swiss’ eyes follow.
“Come on Mounty don’t you wanna see the rest?”
Mountain pauses in the doorway of the bunks. He slowly turns his head, throwing a look at Swiss. There’s an intensity in his green eyes that’s hardly ever seen. He disappears.
“You’re so fucked when we get to the hotel” Cumulus nuddges Swiss her with shoulder.
The video ends with Sunny and Aether sharing a sweet little kiss before turning to grin at the camera. She blows a kiss before the screen goes black.
They all sit in a lust stunned silence, no idea where to begin. Do they say something back to them? How much longer until they’re off the bus? Who’s going to kill Aether first Mountain or Dew? Will Swiss survive the night? All questions that ring through their heads. Before anyone can make a move though, the door to the bus opens and Copia steps in.
“My ghouls! We’ve arrived at the…” he falls silent, taking in the appearance of his pack.
He sighs “Please do not damage anything we cannot keep getting banned from the hotels.”
He gets a few calls of absolutely, in your dreams, and never gonna happen. He just shakes his head and steps off the bus. Everyone else takes a bit longer, needing to gather their things and tidy their appearances enough to make it look like they weren’t just about to have an orgy on the back of a tour bus.
Phantom races to change into a fresh pair of pants when he feels a warm hand grab his wrist. He turns and sees Dew smiling wolfishly at him.
“Uhh hi Dew. Can you let me go please? I don’t wanna be late to get our room keys.”
Dew leans in, nipping at his ear before replying “Don’t change. You’re staying with me tonight. I want you messy.”
Phantom’s knees nearly buckle at the tone of his voice. He can already feel his dick getting chubby again. He nods at Dew, slowly at first but once the words really register in his other head he nods rapidly and grabs his bag.
“Guess I’m ready to go then. With you. To your room.”
It’s not like it’s the first time Phantom and Dew have fucked. It’s practically a ritual in of itself at this point for them to get together when the band stops at a hotel for the night. It took Dew awhile to get over his aversion to the little new summon, but once he realized how much of a prick he was being. How much adoration he actually had for Phantom. He wanted to make up for lost time.
Even so, Phantom could never get over the initial nerves of getting in bed with Dew. He wanted to impress him. He looked up to him in a way. He’d probably ask to be sent back to the Pits if he embarrassed himself in front of Dew like that. Though, every encounter with Dew combined with some lessons from Swiss and Aurora meant those nerves were waning more and more.
It doesn’t take Dew long to grab his things he’d need for the night and stuff them into a little black backpack. Once they’re both ready Phantom laces his hands with Dew, smiling at the fire ghoul as they step off the bus and head towards the hotel.
What Phantom doesn’t see is the quick look Dew throws at Rain. Eyes catch. The quirk of an eyebrow from the water ghoul. A slight nod from the fire ghoul. Rain’s eyes go just a little darker and he smiles.
Once everyone is gathered in the lobby Copia returns with the keycards. He tries to give them to Mountain to dish out, but the moment he sees the look in his eyes he immediately turns to Cirrus. She keeps one for herself, not even giving the other ghoulettes the chance to discuss placement. She smirks at Aurora causing her to blush violently. Cumulus hits her on the arm mumbling a ‘play nice’. Mountain takes his key and grabs Swiss’ wrist, dragging him to the elevator with little resistance. Dew grabs one for him and Phantom, rushing to catch the elevator before it goes up.
Mountain doesn’t even acknowledge them. Swiss bounces from one foot to the other as it rises. Phantom doesn’t think he’s ever seen the earth ghoul this keyed up before. Part of him wants to know what he does when he’s like this. The other is too focused on the heat of Dew’s body to care. The moment the door opens Mountain is pushing past the two smaller ghouls, Swiss in tow. Dew stays hot on their heels forcing Phantom to speed up to stay together.
They get to the end of the hallway and stop. Their rooms are right across from each other. Phantom stares at the way Mountain opens the door and shoves Swiss inside. It’s barely closed when he hears something heavy be pushed against it.
“I think that’s a new record for him” Dew says casually as he unlocks their door and walks in.
Phantom crosses the threshold and barely has time to take off his shoes before Dew is in front of him, glamour melted away. His tail swishes behind him as he closes the remaining distance. He runs the tips of his fangs over Phantom’s neck while reaching down to palm him through his pants. Phantom gasps and shudders at the feeling of his cum being pressed against his cock.
“Weren’t you just making fun of Mounty?” Phantom huffs rocking forward into his touch.
“Yeah but that’s Mountain. Nobody expects it out of him. Now go get on the bed.”
Phantom doesn’t need to be told twice. He bolts to the bed, throwing his shirt off in the process. Dew practically jumps him the moment his back hits the pillows. He slots himself in between his legs, wasting no time chasing what he wants. His lips make contact with Phantom’s and it’s instantly filthy. He nips his bottom lip and licks into Phantom’s mouth when he gasps. Dew’s hands hold his face as he makes his best effort to shove his tongue down his throat.
Phantom digs his claws into Dew’s hips, holding him still so he can rock up against him. Dew laughs at the desperate little whines that punctuate each roll. He slips down slowly peppering kiss across his jaw and down his neck, digging his fangs in just to feel Phantom squirm. He sucks deep bruises across his collarbones, pinching a nipple as he goes lower. He drags the tips of his fangs down the rest of his torso until he’s hovering just over the dark hair peeking out from the waistband of Phantom’s pants. Dew lingers just enough that Phantom tries to rut against the side of his face.
“Dew please I had enough teasing on the bus from Rain. Please. Please.”
Before Dew can even open his mouth there’s a knock at the door. They both freeze and the little fire ghoul has to hold back a grin at the horrified look on Phantom’s face. Oh how he wishes he could take a picture. He jumps off the bed and saunters over to the door, not giving two shits about the obvious outline of his cock in his sweats.
“Right on time” he whispers when he opens the door.
“Surprised you restrained yourself” Rain laughs and steps into the room.
Dew just flips him off when his back is to him. Rain returns the gesture without looking back at him.
Once Rain steps into view Phantom audibly sighs “Lords below it’s just you Rainy I thought…”
His mouth goes dry when Dew comes to stand beside Rain. He can see the glint in their eyes and all the nerves come right back.
Rain tilts his head “You thought what bug?”
“Little freak was hoping we got caught.”
“I—no! I was worried! Papa said we can’t get banned from more hotels! And this one is really nice!”
“Bug my face was inches from your dick. You can lie to wet boy all you want but you can’t fool me” Dew laughs at the blush burning Phantom’s face.
Rain walks over and sits at the edge of the bed “I hope you didn’t think I was done with you after one shitty handjob on the back of the bus.”
Phantom shakes his head rapidly, not trusting words at the moment. Rain tended to have that effect on people when he turned his dark eyes towards you.
“So then tell me why you snuck off with Dew?”
“He…wanted me too?”
“And you just do what he says all the time?”
Phantom hesitates. He looks between Rain and Dew and instantly knows no matter what he says he’ll only dig himself a deeper grave.
Rain flashes a fang filled grin and leans closer “Smart choice.”
“Well thankfully some of us have manners here” Rain pulls away “I can share.”
Phantom didn’t even realize Dew was next to him in the bed until he feels warm hands press into the marks he left moments before. He jumps at the contact but that only lands him in Rain’s embrace. He snakes his hands around Phantom’s waist, holding him tighter than really necessary.
“Dew plays too rough too fast doesn’t he bug” he bends his head, kissing over his shoulder, up his neck to suck at the spot where his jaw meets his ear.
Phantom whines and twists his head, exposing more of himself to Rain’s addictive bite.
“Please” Dew scoffs sliding in between both sets of legs “how often are you at my door all please Dewy I need it.”
Rain smacks Dew hard enough with his tail that the impact is audible.
“Asshole” he hisses.
Rain ignores him, choosing to dip his hands into Phantom’s pants instead. Dew immediately takes notice and scoots closer. He grabs his waistband and tugs them off of him. They both smile seeing the cum stain on his boxers. Phantom grimaces, shame sparking through his body.
“Please just fuck me already” Phantom begs.
“What was that? Didn’t quite hear you?” Dew toys with the waistband of his boxers.
He throws his head back against Rain’s shoulder “Please just fuck me already. You, Rain, both of you I don’t care. I can’t fucking wait anymore.”
“You heard the poor little thing” Rain snickers.
Dew doesn’t hesitate in ripping his boxers off him. His cock springs free, hitting his belly and leaving a smear of pre in the little patch of hair. He’s been painfully hard since Dew got his mouth on him. Dew licks his lips before swallowing him down without warning. Phantom screams and tries to bury his hands in his hair, but Rain holds his wrists in place.
Dew only takes a second to adjust before he’s wrapping his tongue around Phantom’s shaft, bobbing his head. Phantom can’t stop himself from thrusting up into the back of his throat.
“I think he needs a little more” Rain remarks.
Dew hums and that’s all the water ghoul needs before he’s grabbing the back of his head and shoving him the rest of the way down until his nose is nestled in the hair at the base. Phantom arches in Rain’s hold when he feels Dew swallow around him. Rain whispers little praises into his ear while Dew works on him. In a moment of clarity, Rain carefully reaches for the closest phone on the bedside table to capture the scene. Once he has his photo, he throws the phone who knows where.
“Fuck Dew I’m—you’re so hot I’m gonna-“
The moment the words leave Phantom’s mouth, Rain threads his hands back into Dew’s hair and yanks him off his cock. Phantom’s head snaps up from where it was resting on Rain’s shoulder. He almost looks like he’s going to cry.
“No. No no no come on please let me cum. I’ve done everything you two have wanted.”
“Calm down bug” Rain kisses his neck “we’ll let you.”
“We’re not done with you yet” Dew’s raspy voice finishes.
Dew dangles off the side of the bed for a moment, reaching for his backpack. He digs around until he finds the half empty bottle of lube. He pours a generous amount onto three fingers before tossing it to Rain. Phantom looks down at him through half lidded eyes as he brings one finger to his ass. He slides the first finger in easy enough, adding a second soon after. Dew scissors his fingers and pets upward and Phantom tries to grind down on them. Rain tsks and hooks his hands under his knees and pulls them up to his chest. Dew works on sliding his third finger inside of his hole.
Once they have a panting, whining mess of a quintessence ghoul, Dew pulls back and shimmies out of his pants. Before Phantom even has time to question why Dew was crawling to the other side of the bed, Rain is flipping him around to face him in his lap. Dew helps to get Rain’s pants off over the lapful of Phantom. Once his cock is freed he gives Phantom’s hips a squeeze.
“Go on bug.”
He eagerly complies, lifting enough to bring the head of Rain’s dick to his hole. He starts to sink down, both of them groaning when the head pops in. Once he’s sunk all the way down he wastes no time in grinding down against him, desperate to finally find some relief. He gets about three good rolls in before he feels warm hands grab his hips, stopping him.
“Don’t you remember what Rain said? We’re sharing tonight.”
Phantom watches slack jawed as Dew climbs overtop him, slotting himself in the remaining space between Phantom and Rain. Phantom doesn’t even have time to process what’s happening before he feels Dew’s tight ass sliding down on his dick. When his brain catches up with reality he slams his eyes shut, willing himself not to cum right then and there. He wouldn’t hear the end of it if he did.
Once Dew is fully seated on him, Rain slowly rocks up into Phantom. He throws his head back with a moan, but the other two aren’t paying attention to him anymore. Dew has his hands planted on Rain’s chest while the water ghoul grabs a fist full of hair, pulling closer. They lick into each other's mouths, fangs occasionally clacking together.
Phantom tries to do anything more than just sit there, but he’s paralyzed. He can’t think beyond the feeling of the slow little rolls of Rain’s hips, driving his cock deeper with each one. Can’t think beyond the feeling of Dew clenching and grinding down on him everytime Rain nips at his lip or tugs a nipple piercing. All he can do is sit there and take it.
“Shit Rain. Dew. I don’t fuck it’s too much.”
They laugh into each other’s mouths.
“You can cum bug, but we’re not stopping till we’re done” Rain looks at him over Dew’s head.
He wants to stop it, wants to last just a bit longer for them, but he can’t.  Not with the way they’re pressed all around him, not after watching them kissing like they were trying to devour each other. He cums with a moan inside of Dew, hips involuntarily twitching up into him. Dew clenches hard around him and he sees stars for a moment.
True to their word, they don’t stop. Their make out only intensifies. Rain’s slow thrusts into Phantom turn harder, more precise. He whines with the overstimulation. His quintessence sparks up, rippling across his body and through Dew and Rain against his will. They both shudder with it, Phantom can feel both of them react. Rain throbbing inside of him, Dew grinding down on his dick. Even through the lustful haze and overstimulation, it gives Phantom an idea.
He purposefully sends a stronger ripple of quintessence out, making the other two ghouls groan.
“Phantom” Rain warns.
He does it again and Dew whines all high pitched and feminine. Dew’s hands leave their spot on Rain’s chest to wrap around his cock, jerking himself in hurried strokes.
He does it again.
Dew keens and spills onto Rain’s chest. He shudders and leans back against Phantom, half heartedly glaring up at him.
“Cheater” he pants.
When Dew catches his breath he crawls off of Phantom and lays next to Rain. Without the added weight of a second body, the water ghoul grips Phantom’s hips and begins to pound into him. The force takes him by surprise, making him lose balance. He falls forward, catching himself on his forearms. That doesn’t slow Rain down. Rain only cares about chasing his own release at this point, hammering deep into Phantom. The breath gets knocked from his lungs with each thrust, pulling shaky little whines from him. It doesn’t take Rain much longer before his hips stutter in their rhythm and he’s groaning low in his throat, spilling deep inside of Phantom.
They both pause, panting heavily. Dew stops recording and sends the little clip to Aether with a middle finger. Once he feels like moving, Phantom slides off of Rain and lays in the middle of the two other ghouls. They both give him sweet little kisses.
“You wanna shower bug? Rain asks.
He shakes his head “I’m not moving ever again.”
“Dew?”
He looks up only to see the fire ghoul already asleep. He smiles softly, kissing Phantom and then Dew on the forehead.
“I won’t be long.”
Rain gets up and grabs some things from Dew’s backpack before heading into the bathroom. Before he hops into the shower he pulls out his phone and sends the picture he took to Aether and Sunshine.
I hope you two are proud of yourselves
Very.
Damn Rainy what took you so long everyone else already sent us gold
He smiles at the screen.
I can’t wait to see you tomorrow <3
True to his word, Rain miraculously doesn’t take long in the shower. When he returns he’s greeted to the sight of two sleeping ghouls cuddled up and purring in unison. He pauses to take another picture before turning off the light and slipping under the covers to join them. Its nice sleeping with the bodies pressed up against him. He thinks about how soon they’ll all be reunited with Sunny and Aether as he drifts off. It’s peaceful.
Until that peace is broken with the sound of Mountain growling and Swiss screaming.
Rain curses and shoves a pillow over his head. They were definitely getting banned from this hotel.

hi!! i love everything you write and im sure you probably have amazing taste given your work is literally the best so i wanted to ask if you have any fic recs?
DO YOU WANT TO KNOW WHATS CRAZY! i don't actually read that many fics, despite how often i'm on this damn website. i have the urge to read fics maybe once every few months and binge a whole bunch in one sitting, but because of a whole bunch of factors (like how awfully picky i am with tropes, word count, writing style, etc) i actually just reread the same 'perfect' fics over and over again because i know they're going to do it for me every single time
with that said!!!! here are a few recommendations i have for my insanely arduous and specific taste in fanfiction↓↓↓↓↓↓↓ if you've already read all of these, ask me again and i'll do a deeper dive!!!
the perks of having a hot best friend - by @jaeyunverse
jeno x fem!reader, friends 2 lovers, the writing style/humor in this is top tier!!! just some good ol' friendship, which i always love, especially when the romance doesn't even kick in until like halfway through <3
summer hair, forever young - by @setsugekka
YES! YES! YES! jeno x fem!reader, strangers 2 lovers, one of my favorite jeno fics of all! the writing, again, is perfect to me; post break-up mc meets lifeguard(?) jeno at an amusement park pool on vacation. this one felt really... real? like there were no tropes or cliches or miracles (not that those dont have their on this list lmao, winky winky), just a cute meeting, a cute relationship, and a hopeful ending. also the steamy scenes, if you're into that, are some of the best 👍
i would redo it all if i could - by @dkfile
jaem x gn!reader, jaem essentially groveling for a few thousand words because he made a mistake and mc isn't having it, very very cute :3 shorter than i usually gravitate to but that just means i like it so much that it's in my likes anyway! has a writing style that i really like too <3 jaemin's characterization in this is one of my favorite ever btw, love a slightly pathetic pretty boy
love bites - by (ao3 author) kanacchi
vampire!haechan x fem!reader, roommates/they move in together, I LOVE THE DIALOGUE IN THIS!!!!!! i am a huge sucker (haha, get it??) for subtly funny dialogue + mc's that are kind of snarky, and this fic delivers that <3 hae is the perfect amount of annoying and attractive in this

lee!dream, ler!sapnap, 5k words
--
Dream wasn’t sure how long Sapnap had been planning this, but he did know that he hadn’t been flustered that much in a long time.
It started that morning.
Dream had woken up just like any other morning– at a whopping one o’clock in the afternoon, which was the closest to morning he’d gotten all week, after being sick for the previous one and working himself to the bone to catch up on his projects after that fact– with the only difference being a text from Sapnap sitting on his phone when he nearly blinded himself with it to check the time. It wasn’t unusual for him to wake up to a text from Sapnap or George, but today’s text was out of the ordinary specifically because of the message itself.
meet me in the kitchen when you wake up ;)
Dream blinked a few times, squinting at the brightness of his phone screen, rubbing his eyes with his thumb and forefinger before reading the message over again. What could Sapnap have needed? The text was only from half an hour prior to him waking up, but if Sapnap had urgently needed something, surely he would’ve come to get him? What did he need in the kitchen, and why was there a winky face, and what was going on, and why was he so nervous to find out, and–
The sudden smell of breakfast foods wafting into his room pulled him out of his thoughts. He looked over to his cracked open door– wait, did he leave his door open? He could’ve sworn he closed it before going to bed, did Sapnap check if he was awake before texting him?– as the smell grew stronger. Dream took in a long inhale, humming softly at the incredible smell, before groaning as he pushed himself off the bed to stand up. He pushed his arms above his head, arching his back and groaning again as he stretched his sleepy, sluggish body out, before ruffling his own hair and stomping his way down to the kitchen to see what the fuss was about.
The sight he was met with when he made it there was… way, way more than what he was expecting, if he was being honest.
On the kitchen island, there were placesets made for two people, set in front of the barstools, behind various plates and platters with more food than Dream could conjure up in his mind on a good day.
There were two separate plates of pancakes, what looked like multiple different flavors, two stacks to a plate with each stack being five pancakes high. Next to that, a platter– Dream recognized it by the snowflake details on the edges as the Christmas themed one his mom had given him when they moved into their permanent home– with eggs on it, some scrambled and some sunny side up. A third plate, a completely different color and size to the rest, this one being smaller and blue, more flat than the other white ceramic ones, was piled high with crispy, wonderful smelling bacon. Finally, there were two small bowls, one being clear glass and the other being a slightly bigger white ceramic one with blue stripes on it, both filled with an assortment of fruit, tossed together to make a beautiful display of shapes and colors. Between the dishes were various condiments and additional toppings; ketchup, maple syrup in a glass bottle that Dream had never seen before, extra chocolate chips, whipped cream, and even a jar of bright red cherries.
And, behind all of the mountains of breakfast foods, standing in front of the stove as another batch of bacon sizzled in a pan and the fan above it whirred loudly, was none other than Sapnap himself. Dream watched silently as Sapnap turned off the burner, pushing the pan of bacon over to the side while he wiped his hands on the kitchen towel.
To say Dream was in awe would be the understatement of the year.
“Woah…” Dream spoke, mostly to himself, voice scratchy and still thick with sleep. Sapnap whipped his head around at the sound, smiling widely as soon as he saw the older man in front of him in the doorway of the kitchen, all ruffled bed hair and loose t-shirt and pajama pants and bare feet.
“Hey!” He said happily, wiping his hand one final time before making his way over to where Dream was standing.
“What…” Dream said again, glancing between his friend and the food, making eye contact once Sapnap got closer, smelling of smoke and bacon and sweet pancake batter. “Wh… Holy shit, Sap…”
“G’morning, cutie,” Sapnap replied through his giddy smile, resting his hands on Dream’s shoulders, standing up on his toes in his socks to place a gentle kiss on Dream's cheek. Dream felt the heat rise to his face, subtly overwhelmed by the sudden affection and bewilderment just minutes after getting out of bed, and he stared with wide eyes at Sapnap as he pulled back. He blinked rapidly, his mouth open just slightly in his shocked state, but Sapnap paid his confusion no mind, continuing to speak as if everything was normal. “Hope you’re hungry! There’s plenty of stuff to go around, so take anything and everything you want. Didn’t wanna have too little,” He finished with a pat to Dream’s shoulder, his hands sliding down his arms until he was able to hold onto one of Dream’s hands. “C’mon, cute thing. Let’s get goin’ before anything gets cold.”
“Sapnap…” Dream muttered, tilting his head to the side and looking down at his best friend adoringly.
“Yes, my baby boy?” Sapnap replied, mirroring Dream’s head tilt and smiling up at him in a way that made Dream’s tummy flutter.
“What the fuck…” He asked, exasperated already, shaking his head while a fond smile pulled at his lips.
“What do you mean? I can't make a gourmet breakfast for my favorite puppy just ‘cause I want to?” Sapnap explained, voice innocent and excited, but his choice of words and the smug look on his face when Dream let out the smallest gasp at them told Dream he wasn’t as innocent as he seemed.
“Oh, Sap, don’t do that,” Dream complained, shaking his head again, looking down at his bare feet against the cold tile as he felt himself flush further.
Sapnap smiled, reaching one hand over to suddenly scratch at his tummy, making Dream squeal and jump back, only to be stopped by Sapnap’s hold on his arm that he used to pull him back.
“Sapnap!” Dream yelped, pressing his palm to his tummy to keep the area safe. “Don’t– don’t do that, that’s not– that’s not–“ Dream stammered, the blush on his face and the butterflies in his tummy so strong he couldn’t even attempt to finish his sentence. Sapnap only giggled, placing another kiss on his cheek before tugging him by the arm towards the barstools.
“C’mon. Sit,” He commanded gently, patting the seat of the stool for Dream to take– which, unsurprisingly, he did– while he grabbed the spatula to serve Dream his food. Dream went to reach for his own plate at first, but Sapnap snatched it up quickly before he could grab it.
“Sapnap,” Dream rolled his eyes playfully, though he couldn’t wipe the smile off his face.
“What looks good, Dreamie?”
“I can do it myself.”
“No, you can’t,” Sapnap replied, using the spatula to point to the stacks of pancakes. “Blueberry, chocolate chip, or plain?”
“You’re ridiculous, you know that?” Dream said, though his chest was still blooming with warmth, his heart skipping a beat every time he glanced around and saw everything that Sapnap had done, just for him. When he looked back up at Sapnap, the younger man simply gestured at the food again, waiting for Dream to just give in and accept his fate. Dream’s eyes softened, and he curled in on himself slightly, clasping his hands together in his lap and twisting the ring on his pointer finger nervously. “Blueberry.”
“Of course,” Sapnap obliged, sliding three blueberry pancakes onto Dream’s plate, carefully keeping them to one side. He gestured to the eggs next. “Scrambled?” He asked, and Dream nodded shyly. “Perfect. Bacon too?” Sapnap asked as he shoveled a small pile of scrambled eggs onto the plate, before gesturing to the bacon with the tip of the spatula as well. Dream nodded again, his smile widening.
“Yes, please,” He replied quietly, watching Sapnap finish off his plate with a few strips of bacon and carefully place it back in front of him. “Holy shit, man,” Dream muttered, still very much in awe of everything happening.
“There you go, pretty boy. You can help yourself to any toppings or fruit if you’d like some, that part’s all you, so… enjoy!” Sapnap said with a frankly adorable smile, grabbing his own empty plate and piling it high with food as well.
“Sap, I…” Dream began. “I just– I don’t… I don’t know what any of this is about, but… tha– thank you for… literally all of this,” He finished, looking over at Sapnap as he closed the refrigerator after grabbing the carton of orange juice. He looked over at Dream, smiling kindly as he poured two glasses and placed one in front of both of their finished plates, before moving over to stand next to Dream, catching his eyes as the elder stared up at him.
“Aw, baby doll,” Sapnap cooed, his subtle Texan accent lending itself to the phrase, enough to make Dream’s eyebrows furrow and his lips form into the tiniest pout. He cupped Dream’s face gently, rubbing his thumbs under his still sleepy eyes. He moved one hand under his chin, gently tilting his head up further. “You’re so welcome. I just wanted to do something nice for you, sweetheart. Only the nicest stuff for my best puppy, right?”
“Ugh, Sapnap,” Dream whined, and suddenly he surged forward and wrapped his arms tightly around Sapnap’s waist, hugging him so close and so tight it would have knocked him over if he didn’t grab onto Dream’s shoulders to brace himself.
“Oh– Dream! Holy shit,” Sapnap said through a shocked laugh, steadying himself and hugging Dream back. “Okay, okay, easy, puppy. Relax.”
“Sorry,” Dream replied bashfully, loosening his grip slightly but still leaving his arms around Sapnap’s waist, looking up at him adoringly.
“No! No, don’t be sorry at all, I love it when you get all touchy like that. It’s really cute,” Sapnap replied, running his fingers through Dream’s untamed curls, in an attempt to fix them from where they were still messy from sleep. Dream giggled, pressing his temple against Sapnap’s ribs, as Sapnap rubbed a hand up and down his back.
“Shut up, you’re such an idiot,” Dream replied, making Sapnap giggle.
“Yeah, but you love it. Okay, we actually have to eat now or the food is gonna be cold and taste like ass, so…” Sapnap pointed out, letting his hands slip down to Dream's sides, squeezing twice before quickly pulling back, leaving Dream reeling.
“HEY–“ He yelped with a flinch, tensing his arms to his sides and watching Sapnap with a slack jaw as he sat down and began pouring syrup on his pancakes like nothing happened. Dream scoffed, reaching for his glass of orange juice to take a sip. “You’re insane.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about. Eat your breakfast,” Sapnap replied nonchalantly, but the smug smirk stayed strong on his face as he did so.
They finished eating a while later, finishing just barely over half the food between the two of them and at least a glass and a half of juice each.
If Dream were to claim the rest of the meal was uneventful, that would be the second understatement of the year.
There were several times throughout the meal, more than Dream could think about counting without getting flustered beyond belief, where Sapnap’s devious fingers found themselves gravitating towards Dream’s body. Countless times, he would squeeze above Dream’s knee and over the tops of his thigh, moving down to his inner thigh with tiny pinches every so often, the poor boy barely protected by the thin pajama pants he wore. Sapnap would spider his fingers over his kneecap, squeeze above his hip bone, poke at his side and claw at his ribs, and he even went as far as to shoot his hand towards Dream’s tummy, though he didn’t actually tickle there just yet.
Dream jumped every time, flinching wildly, kicking his leg out and hiking his knee up. He curled his toes, dropping his fork each time with a clatter against the plate in favor of grabbing and pushing at Sapnap’s wrists, twisting his torso away, whining at him to ‘stooooop, Sapnap, stop it, that’s not fair!’ each time he attacked– a request Sapnap obviously never obliged.
Dream felt like he’d been sent to purgatory, doomed to sit on edge next to Sapnap for the rest of eternity, waiting and waiting for the next tickle attack, never sure when it would happen or where Sapnap would target.
Or maybe he’d been sent to heaven. That was more accurate. But he’d never tell Sapnap that, not in a million years.
By the time all the empty dishes were in the sink and Sapnap had begun placing the leftover food in containers to be finished at a later time, Dream was, understandably, extremely nervous. His cheeks still felt burning hot, his fingers returned to twisting his rings around them, his knee bounced up and down from where he stayed seated at the barstool after Sapnap had scolded him and smacked the back of his knuckles with a plastic tupperware lid when he tried to help him clean up, telling him ‘down, puppy, I’ll get everything put away, don’t you worry that pretty little head of yours’ firmly enough that it made him giggle from the fluttering of butterflies in his tummy. He watched Sapnap work, trying his hardest to cool down his flushed face, but he learned the hard way that it was nearly pointless to try.
“Sapnap?” Dream began softly, as Sapnap opened the fridge and stacked all the leftovers inside.
“Yes, handsome?” Sapnap responded, smiling as Dream’s smile turned bashful once again and he squirmed in his seat, crossing his arms over his chest and biting his lip. “What’s up?” He prompted, placing the condiments in the door of the refrigerator before closing it, finishing the clean up of the kitchen.
“Can you… Can I like… Can I ask what– what all of this is for?” Dream stuttered out, confusion still evident on his face. Sapnap chuckled at his hesitation, walking over and standing in front of him again, carding his fingers through his hair once more.
“Sure, you can ask that,” Sapnap replied with a nod, but silence is all that followed, Dream waiting for Sapnap to elaborate and Sapnap doing nothing of the sort. Dream’s eyebrows furrowed again, more confused than ever, before he broke the silence himself instead.
“So… wh-what is… what is it for, then?” He asked slowly, and the hand in his hair then became two, cupping the back of his neck and scratching the back of his hair there. His shoulders dropped instantly, his body melting into the soft touch as he hummed softly at the feeling. Sapnap laughed once again at his stuttered question, pausing before he responded, in a way that still did not answer Dream’s question.
“You’ll find out soon enough…”
“Sap, what–”
“C’mon…” Sapnap cut him off, taking a step back and reaching down to uncross the taller boy’s arms. Dream let his arms slip apart, smiling as Sapnap grabbed his hands and pulled him to stand up. “You need anything before we go? Water, bathroom break, anything like that?”
“No, I don’t think so, but I don’t even know what we’re–”
“Good answer,” Sapnap cut him off once more, before turning towards the stairs and leading Dream up to his own bedroom. Dream chuckled as he was pulled along, and then once again when they made it to Sapnap’s room and the younger boy dropped Dream’s hand to hold the door open for him.
“After you, pretty boy,” Sapnap said as he gestured for Dream to follow him in, making Dream shake his head fondly as he did so.
“You’re such an idiot,” Dream spoke through a wide smile, and he heard the door close behind him before Sapnap’s hand was in his again.
“Right you are, baby,” Sapnap replied with a poke to Dream’s cheek, and Dream’s lips pressed together through his smile as the bright blush quickly returned to his face, even worse than before. “Alright, c’mere,” Sapnap continued, guiding Dream over to his freshly made bed and turning him to face away from it.
“Sapnap,” Dream replied, his nerves setting in again. He still felt butterflies fluttering in his stomach, his chest tight and tingling, something in it making him feel giddy, like sparks of electricity were stinging underneath his skin wherever Sapnap’s hands trails over while guiding him back.
“Shh, it’s okay. Just relax,” Sapnap said softly, stopping barely a foot away from the bed and looking up at Dream with a devious glint in his eyes.
Then, suddenly, there was a shove against his chest and a foot behind his knees, knocking him down and pushing him backwards onto the mattress, and Sapnap was kneeling above him just as suddenly, knees on either side of Dream’s hips but not sinking down to straddle him just yet.
“WH–“ Dream yelped, bracing his palms on the bed, trying to push himself away, but Sapnap landed a hand on his chest. He didn’t push him down, didn’t grab his shirt, still didn’t sit on his hips, he just pressed his palm to Dream’s chest and smiled when Dream looked up at him with a shocked expression. “Sap– Sapnap, what is–”
“Listen, puppy,” He began, and Dream couldn’t stop the whimper he let out, always sensitive to that name, especially when Sapnap would say it in moments like this. “Just relax, okay? This isn’t for anything or because of anything, You didn’t do anything wrong or anything to warrant this. I’m just really in the mood to tickle you today.”
“Wh-what? Sapnap, you– that’s not–” Dream tried to argue, shuffling slightly to lay more comfortably against the bed, dropping down from his palms to his elbows, Sapnap’s hand staying on his chest as he moved.
“Shhh,” Sapnap soothed, pressing his finger to his lips as he did so. “I just want to, alright? Thank you so much for letting me pamper you and take care of you and make you all sweet and pliant for me.”
“I’m not plia–!” Dream tried to argue, but then Sapnap’s finger was pressed to his lips just the same, cutting off his words as he shushed him once again.
“It’s okay, Dreamie,” Sapnap spoke, reaching behind him and pushing Dream’s legs to make sure they were flat, before dropping down to sit on his thighs. He then reached forward to tap Dream’s elbows, hinting at him to lower them to lay down flat. When Dream whined and shook his head, pulling them closer to his body and pushing himself up higher, Sapnap retaliated by harshly digging his fingers into his ribcage.
“NO!” Dream yelped, arching his back and immediately falling down against the bed and shoving at Sapnap’s arms, exactly as Sapnap expected him to. Sapnap pulled his hands away, pressing both palms to Dream’s chest to keep him laying down as Dream wrapped his arms around his torso to protect himself from another attack.
“Okay?” Sapnap asked, raising his eyebrows at Dream. Dream knew the okay meant multiple things– an okay as in ‘you’re gonna listen to me now, right?’ An okay as in ‘is this okay with you?’ An okay as in ‘this is the plan, got it?’– and Dream knew his answer to all of those was okay, yes, confident enough to nod his head in response.
“Okay,” Dream muttered, unable to stop either the blush and the smile on his face from growing, and he settled himself back against Sapnap’s bed, the cool pillow under his head soothing him even as he brought his hands up to cover his blushing face, letting out a muffled whine as he relaxed into the blankets below him.
“You comfy, darlin’?” Sapnap asked, letting Dream adjust himself however he needed in case he wasn’t. Dream whimpered at the question, shifting his shoulders a few times before nodding in acknowledgment. “Good. I’m glad,” Sapnap said with a smile, before lightly taking the hem of Dream’s t-shirt between his fingers and pushing it up to reveal his tummy. Dream gasped, shooting his hands down to cover the newly exposed skin, pulling his shirt back down.
“Oh, nohoho!” He replied, giggling nervously, pressing one palm to his stomach and covering his mouth with the other to hide his giggles, shaking his head quickly.
“No, c’mon, Dreamie. Let me do it.”
“I cahan’t!” Dream said through a whine, pressing his hand in harder when Sapnap tried to push his shirt up again anyway. “Noho! Sap, plehehease!”
“C’mon, puppy. I wanna get your tummy, don’t you want me to?” Sapnap asked, letting his voice drop off to a soft tone, making it nearly impossible for Dream to deny the accusation. Instead, he threw his arms over his face to hide in them again, kicking his legs uselessly behind Sapnap, but otherwise doing nothing to stop the smaller boy from tugging his shirt again, bunching it up around his ribs so his whole torso was on display. “There we go, there’s my good boy, thank you, Dreamie.” Dream whined again, dropping one arm to wrap around himself again, sliding from his ribs to press his fingertips into the soft skin of his lower tummy, curling them lightly around the waistband of his pajama pants, before swinging back up over his face once again. “Aww, poor thing. You must be so nervous, huh?” Sapnap cooed, resting his hands on Dream’s sides and gently rubbing his warm skin with his thumbs. Dream whimpered and nodded, his tummy jumping at the movement of hands against it.
“Just–” Dream mumbled, moving his arms away from his face so his voice could be heard. “Be nice, please?”
“Aw, puppy,” Sapnap cooed, sticking out his bottom lip, making Dream cover his face again. Sapnap pressed his palm against Dream’s stomach, rubbing his thumb there as well and making him let out a small squeak as he tried to suck his tummy in on instinct. “Don’t worry, baby, I’ll be so gentle with you. So, so gently, my sweet boy,” Sapnap promised, and before Dream could respond to him, he used both hands to gently drag his pointer fingers up and down Dream’s sides. Dream gasped, his hands jumping down to bat at Sapnap’s, trying to push the offending fingers away, but Sapnap only swatted him back and kept up his tracing. “See? Gentle. Nothing to worry about, right?”
“Mmmm…” Dream hummed, not exactly reassured by Sapnap’s comfort, but curling his hands into fists and restraining himself from fighting back regardless. Sapnap decided to push slightly further, gently tugging the waistband of Dream’s pajama pants down a couple of inches to reveal the jutting bones of his hips and the line of sensitive skin between them. “Oh god, Sahahapnahap!” Dream whined, moving his hands over and uncurling them to cover the exposed area. Sapnap gently pushed them away again, pressing them down against the bed with his fingertips and watching as Dream gripped the comforter tightly in his fists to stop himself from interfering with the tickles.
“Oh, perfect, Dream, stay just like that,” Sapnap praised, and then brought back his two pointer fingers, tracing gently around Dream’s upper tummy, over his sternum between his ribs and over the fronts of them as well. Dream squealed, sucking his stomach in and half-arching at the feeling, immediately lost in helpless giggles at the feeling. “There we go, puppy, that’s good, right?”
“Ihihi hahahate thihihis…” Dream whined out, his fingers flexing and stretching out as Sapnap moved to the sides of his tummy, jerking towards him to attempt to stop him before he controlled them again and brought them back down by his sides. He squirmed as much as he could, shaking his head, squeezing his fists against the blanket, shifting his shoulders constantly, kicking his legs out, anything to help him deal with the unbearable tingly feeling, but nothing seemed to work. He was still lost in the sensation, unable to focus on anything but how much it tickled. “This suhucks sohoho bahad…”
“Nooooo, it’s okay, you love this! You love your tummy tickles!” Sapnap stated, a fact they both knew, but one that made Dream whine and squeeze his eyes shut even harder anyway. “You’re so cute, Dreamie, I just can’t get over how adorable you are.”
“Wh– shuhuhut uhup!” Dream protested, throwing his head to the side and trying to lean as far into the gap between Sapnap’s pillow as he could get. “Dohon’t say thahahat!”
“I can’t help it!” Sapnap said in his own defense, smiling when his tracing fingers swirled around to Dream’s lower tummy and made him gasp and bite his lip before he returned back to the sides of it, adding a second finger with each hand now. After a few seconds, he switched to his whole hand, forming it into a claw shape but not using it for that motion just yet, instead just dragging his nails over Dream’s incredibly sensitive skin. Dream let out a squeak, embarrassing enough that he attempted to clamp his lips shut and let out soft whimpers instead of his bright giggles. “Hey! Don’t do that, let me hear you laugh!” He protested, using his claw shaped hands for their intended purpose twice over Dream’s sides just to make him open his mouth again.
“AH– Sahahap!” Dream yelled out with his sudden burst of laughter, pushing further into the pillow, falling back into his high pitched, breathy giggles when Sapnap returned to his tracing.
“Thank you, beautiful…” Sapnap began, earning a groan from Dream. “You really are like a puppy, aren’t you, darlin’?”
“Nohohoho!” Dream whined out, but Sapnap knew damn well that Dream was aware it was true. Sapnap giggled at Dream’s protest, pushing further, backing Dream into a corner.
“No? Gentle tummy tickles always get you all melty like one, though, don’t they?” Sapnap asked softly, his voice fond, and Dream whimpered and shook his head.
“Thahahat– that’s nohot truhuhue! I’m nohohot!”
“Okay, so I should stop calling you puppy, then? If you’re so adamant that it’s not true…” Sapnap smiled at Dreams silence, followed by his fluttery giggles, as he leaned his head back against the pillow as it lolled to the side, a dopey smile on his face. He swallowed against his laughter, attempting to start speaking, before falling back into his giggles and squeezing his eyes shut. “Huh, baby? What’s that?”
“Mm–” Dream whimpered again, flexing his fingers against the comforter and tightening his fists, loosely hitting them against the bed below him to expel the flusteredness that prevented him from answering. “Sahap…”
“It’s okay, you little goober,” Sapnap said, quickly bringing one hand up to ruffle Dream’s still messy hair before continuing his gentle tracing with it, making Dream’s giggles brighten happily as he squirmed under the affection. “I know you love being my sweet puppy, don’t you?”
“Shuhuhut uhuhup!” Dream whined into the soft material of the pillow as he returned to his hiding place, jumping and squealing suddenly when Sapnap hit a particularly sensitive spot on his tummy, barely a few inches to the right of the little dip in the middle of it. Sapnap giggled at him, using his other hand to cup Dream’s side gently and using two fingers to scratch at that spot mercilessly. Dream squealed again, much louder now, curling the other way against Sapnap’s hand on his side and trying desperately to get away from the offending two fingers. In response, Sapnap squeezed his side once, making him jump back the other way, repeating the agonizing cycle. “Nahahaha– plehehehease! Sahahapnahahap! I cahahahan’t–!”
“Awww, my poor puppy,” Sapnap cooed through a pout, giggling when Dream whimpered and pouted up at him too, before getting lost in laughter again. “Does it tickle, baby?”
“Mhm!” Dream agreed through his laughter, nodding his head quickly, squirming as much as he could in his pinned position.
“Yeah, I’m sure it does, sweetheart,” Sapnap said with fake sympathy, but he still decided to stop both techniques for the sake of keeping the tickles bearable.
Well, kind of. Until he thought of a new idea.
He shifted his hands down, returning to just his pointer fingers, and he began dragging his nails above the line of his displaced waistband between his hip bones. Dream squeaked at the change in technique, arching his back and trying to push his hips down into the bed, away from the tickles.
“Nahahaha! Sahaha– noho, plehehehease!” Dream’s voice was pleading, high pitched and whiny through his struggles. His hands smacked against the blankets, still able to hold back from pushing Sapnap away for a few more seconds. But, eventually, he couldn’t take it anymore, and his hands shot down to grab Sapnap’s wrists, struggling to pull him away with how weakened the tickles had made him. “Sahahap, plehehease, c’mohon, plehease stohohop!” He pleaded, before he was able to yank Sapnap’s hands away from him, giving him a much needed break in the tickles. “Oh my gohohohod…”
“You okay there, giggles?” Sapnap asked softly, lacing his fingers with Dream’s and rubbing the backs of his knuckles with his thumbs. Dream hummed and smiled, nodding his head up at Sapnap as he blinked his eyes open to look at him. Sapnap nearly teared up at the relaxed expression on Dream’s face– the calm smile that overtook his lips, the fond look in his eyes when they made eye contact, the way his head tilted back and sideways into the pillow as he laid there, content and smiley and letting Sapnap play with his fingers and rub his knuckles. “Aww, my puppy, you’re so sweet.” Dream giggled at the compliment, his nose scrunching up with his laugh and only making Sapnap feel more warmth in his chest. He looked so cute, Sapnap almost wanted to squeeze his face, pinch his cheeks, bite his nose, anything to get the cute aggression out of his system.
Conveniently, he remembered Dream was still pinned underneath him.
So, he pulled his hands away and suddenly latched them onto Dream’s hips, squeezing the spot just above the bones and digging his thumbs into the spot just inside them. Dream broke out into loud laughter, kicking and squirming and thrashing underneath him, grabbing onto his wrists to try to pull his hands off and rid himself of the excruciating feeling.
“SAHAHAP?!” Dream yelled out, his fingers continuously slipping off Sapnap’s wrists and having to readjust their grip, even as Sapnap’s hands remained unwavering in their movements. To be even meaner, Sapnap took in a deep breath, then leaned down and blew a long raspberry over the same ticklish spot to the right of his belly button, making Dream’s laughter grow even louder, much more shrill and raspy now. “WHAHAHA– NOHOHO, PLEHEHEASE!” Dream’s pleading fell on deaf ears, even when he moved his hands to push desperately at Sapnap’s head and shoulders and arms and knees to try and push any part of him away. He was unsuccessful at every attempt, and he had no choice but to sit through what Sapnap did until he decided he was finished, completely helpless to the devastatingly ticklish experience for as long as Sapnap deemed fit.
And if Dream tried to claim that he didn’t love every second of that day? Well…
That would be the third understatement of the year.
