the idea of jack being this sunshine and rainbows silly optimist as a contrast to his dads being violent maladjusted borderline-serial-killers is kinda funny but like, jack is also violent and maladjusted and legally wanted by the FBI and only puts on a sunshine rainbows silly optimist act because his emotional state is loaded with celestial C4 and makes everyone he loves genuinely fear him when he isn’t sunshine and rainbows so he’s just compartmentalizing all his maladjusted trauma as “not so great stuff” to avoid blowing up his family lol teehee

but she can’t show adrien the proof because ladybug didn’t save lila. she saved cerise.

I still very loathe the Media Trope of ‘’cold genius man doesn’t feel emotions and never has relationships... UNTIL.. one random relatively bland Preddy Woman comes along and warps his entire personality and ability to think, his heart has grown and his seeming asexuality has evaporated, he is now Normal :)” or whatever like... i just finished the atla live action! i need to rant akdjajdh

loved the bending effects they were very cool. and LOVED the infrastructure. it was very detailed and well-done.

definitely did not like the characterisation though. i dont mind changes to the plot—i think they’re pretty interesting—but they really did turn all the characters unrecognisable (save for maybe zuko, iroh, and MAYBE sokka if im being generous). suki was so incredibly painful to watch. bumi was completely unexpected—i dont like how they tried to force the ‘you left us so now i wont help you!!’ thing with bumi of all people, aang’s childhood FRIEND. yue was also horribly characterised, she didnt feel like the princess and was very empty imo. katara shouldve been much angrier at certain points. aang was MUCH too serious considering this is season 1. and the other avatars were kinda :/

also the whole thing with jet?? definitely feels like a rushed arc. i also wanted to see haru but that wasnt there. but overall it’s a decent show if you treat it like a completely separate thing from the og show. im just a bit disappointed that they managed to mischaracterise almost every character just to, idk appeal to a wider audience?? it lacks the charm the og show had. but there were some funny parts! and once again the effects were super impressive. will not be watching again tho LOL

#the only thing that could save this is if they cast dwayne johnson as the boulder in s2. i mean what #but yeah. i need to go watch the og show again i feel like this messed with my interpretations of the characters skdjskdbs #also. koh was really scary. i was freaked out #atla #atla live action #nobody perceive me #i wanted to like it really bad but haiz. the first half was actually not bad #but jt got worse as it went on and i cant defend it anymore HELP
