First the Canucks and L O L even *Toyota* leaned into Cobie's badass Maria Hill mothergy more than the MCU ever did. Look at her jacket!! This woman can wear jackets like no one's business.

The phase 1 fandom, we know why the MCU is failing. All they ever let Maria do is drive cars, read plot to the audience that is too expensive to film and use her bluetooth AND YET people still loved her more than anything because we always knew what was there.

A lot of people are VERY mad that Maria Hill died in the first episode of secret invasion. Some is concluding that it’s a skrull and not Maria.
When skrulls die as the person they shapeshifted into, they turn back to their green selves. She didn’t.
I haven’t even watched secret invasion and this makes me want to not watch it.

Okay, Maria Hill-
But she’s a serial killer.
Like those slashers. (Ghostface, Micheal Myers, etc.)
And she’s wearing a mask and only at first can you see those blue eyes peer at you deeply, but reader smacks it off and seeings her face.
Oh god she'd be so fucking hot as a Serial Killer!!
She would have a hockey mask like Jason does. She would have a black one with dark grey markings on it.
Maria would go absolutely insane after you slap the mask off her face. She'd shove you against the wall and threaten to kill you if you told anyone what she looked like

Spring with Maria always felt fresh. There was just something about the way the flowers enhanced the blue in her eyes and the way her muscles got softer with the weather. She was still your hard headed girl, a woman that would not be swayed easily no matter who she was up against, but a delicacy came to light within her when the weather warmed up and the cherry blossoms bloomed.
It was your opinion that Maria looked especially ethereal dressed in uniform. The navy blue material brought out the softest wisps of gray in her blue eyes, and the slickback hairstyle she incorporated into her daily appearance was particularly eye-catching, exposing the harsh cut of her jaw and the sharp contour of her naturally slim nose. It wasn’t as soft as her wardrobe at home; loose fitting sweatpants that did wonders for her waistline and some old t-shirt that she claimed had too much sentimental value to toss in the donation pile, but still, to you she looked absolutely diaphanous. You supposed you had to appreciate the uniform, she wore it more often then she did her own clothes, and even now, it was clad to her body like a winter glove as she spun around in her desk chair, two black pens twirling between the slender fingers that were skilled in delicate acts of intimacy. Those same fingers that twirled ballpoint pens between bruised knuckles were fingers that had traced every inch of your skin, and simultaneously pulled a trigger to end the life of someone who had started this life out as an innocent. Maria Hill didn’t have a violent bone in her body, but she owned a heart that fought for justice.
The bed that Maria had picked out for your bedroom was big. It was big enough for two people to roll around in with an abundance of space between warm bodies and the abrupt edge, but most nights you occupied it alone, and the expense of soft memory foam around either side of your body felt suffocating. Most nights, you occupied Maria’s chosen side of the bed, curled up tight with the blankets pulled taught around your shoulders. Her pillows smelt of the shampoo she favored each time you went grocery shopping, but the sheets lingered with the notes and elements of her perfume that she sprayed all of her clothes with routinely. She was the only woman you knew that kept a bottle of perfume on her bedside table, but you were grateful each night you fell into bed alone and became enveloped in her delicate scent.
The bottle of perfume on her nightstand had become your temporary tripod as you propper your phone up against it, cocooning yourself beneath heavy blankets and soft pillows as she laid on your side to really look at her, and although the room you occupied was dark and dressed only in slivers of moonlight that slipped into the bedroom, she could see every blemish on your face perfectly. The fluorescent lighting of the helicarrier gave her a radiant glow, and the brightness of her settling bled into yours like she wasn’t really so far away. That thought was merely for your own comfort, realistically you knew that she was somewhere far right now, probably hovering over the rubble of Sokovia or perhaps even farther. She wouldn’t be home for another three nights, but for a moment, if you let yourself drown in the symphony of her laughter that was as sweet and fresh as the songs of a hummingbird, it felt like she was with you.
“How’s Clint doing?” You questioned softly, cheek pressed firmly against the pillowcase beneath your head and muffling your words slightly. Maria’s lips twitched upward into a fond grin, and her blue eyes traced every shadow across your face as she memorized the sight of you.
“He’s hanging in there. Misses the kids, misses Laura. He and Nat have been really overdoing the Budapest jokes.” Maria rolled her eyes fondly, her agitation merely pretend as she thought about the birdbrain man and the silent dancer that found themselves beneath her wing. You’re glad that she has some semblance of familiarity, that she’s not entirely alone to act as the Deputy Director, but you miss her either way.
“Laura’s been sending me pictures of the kids.” You smiled, propping your head up on the pillow with your fist, eyes dancing across Maria’s face as you scan her for injuries she’s conveniently forgotten to mention. Your lips curl further upward when you come up empty handed, but you can’t relax completely knowing there are still hours in the day and multiple nights before she’s home safe and awake from warfare. “Lila and Cooper got into the chicken coop yesterday. Had a water balloon fight with the eggs.”
Maria’s nose crinkled at the thought of two young children she was entirely fond of pelting each other with eggs, but there was something different in her eyes at the mention of the Barton children. Conversation always flowed between the pair of you naturally, and the lifestyle of Laura Barton was something you’d discussed in length, both of you friends with the woman who had suspended her life in duty to raise three children. You’d never seen Maria so conflicted over a story of her latest adventure, but recently she’d been falling into her head a lot more, surrendering to whatever daydreams she liked to construct when the present became too boring. “Penny for your thoughts?” You offered quietly, eyes kind and questioning.
Maria’s silence stretches, her expression becoming increasingly conflicted, but eventually her voice fills the bedroom again and it’s like she’s not really gone at all. “Do you ever think about what Clint has?” She asks softly, soft enough for you to pick up on the fact that she’s not asking in the generic sense; she’s wondering if you want what he has. Maria’s always been open about the fact that she’s content in her career, she’s not overly fond of the travel, but she’s content with devoting her life to two things; you and shield. The question that hangs in the area is uncharted territory, but you’re ready to dive into the adventure with her. You’re ready to talk about a future outside of Shield and how you see your life in five, ten, fifteen years. You’re ready to love her eternally, because you know that you have since the moment she asked you to be her girlfriend.
“I do. I especially like to think about you in a pair of overalls collecting eggs.” Your giggles pulled a smile over Maria’s features, completely ridding the looming tension that pulled at her eyebrows and replacing it with that lightness that only spring could create. “I do, Mia. I think about it all the time. I was just waiting for you to be ready. Are you? Ready, I mean.”
Maria was always a concentrated speaker. She thinks fully and deeply about the conversations she holds and the responses she gives, especially to those she cares about personally. She’s extremely rash in her decisions that involve adventure, she’ll wake you up at four in the morning talking about racing the sunrise and finding the coast to watch it fully, but her words are always heedful. Nobody can believe that after so many years together you’ve never fought, but if they took the time to know Maria the way that you do, that wouldn’t be so hard to understand. She didn’t hesitate to nod her head at your question, though. She took no time to consider how she felt about your future. Even if she didn’t say it, she didn’t half to. Just by knowing Maria you know that this is something she’s been shifting over for months. The thought of her cementing your future in her mind before she dared to bring it up to you brought  a light smile over your lips.
“Two kids. I know you said you wanted three when we first started talking, but I think we’d be perfect for two. Two little boys, not twins, but close enough in age that everybody who sees us stops to ask. We’d use the same donor for both of them, so they know that no matter what anybody tells them about having two moms, they know that they’re connected and they’re brothers.” Maria trails off, a soft smile on her face that you want to kiss away until she falls into a fit of giggles. Instead, you clutch one of your pillows to your chest, hugging it tightly and wishing it was her.
“Two boys, huh?” You quirked a teasing eyebrow. “You want to be a boy mom, Maria Hill? Think you can handle all the wrestling matches and dirt?”
“They’ll know better. We’ll teach them to take their shoes off before they come in from outside. I’ll wrestle with them. Clint was talking about these play couches Laura got the kids. We’ll get them for the boys, set them up on the floor so nobody gets hurt. But we’ll sit on the couch behind them and watch. We’ll kiss imaginary boo-boos and we’ll play dress up. We’ll teach them that it’s okay to cry, and it’s okay to need a hug. It won’t be like the way I was raised. They won’t hide their mistakes in fear of our reaction, and when they’re teenagers they’ll think we’re badass. I wasn’t ready to think about all of this before. I wasn’t ready to find out if I’d be just like my parents, but I’m ready now. I’m ready to start talking about everything, and buying a house. We can’t live in that apartment forever, I won’t let you live in that apartment forever. I can’t promise a picket fence life. I can’t say that I’m ready to leave my position entirely, but I am ready to start prioritizing our future the way that I prioritize the now.”
You held onto every word that fell off of Maria’s lips and filled the silence of your bedroom so cautiously. Your eyes glimmered with tears that pool in your waterline, disrupting the image of her sat at her desk in front of a stack of papers and mission reports, and although unconventional to be having this conversation for the first time continents away from one another, it’s entirely perfect. She’s perfect. “Five year plan. We’ll find a house, we’ll start the process. I don’t need a picket fence life, Maria. I just need you.”
A yawn pulled at your lips, nose scrunching as you snuggled deeper into her side of the bed. The time on your phone didn’t feel like an accurate depiction of the hours that had passed since you called her, but as the early hours dawned closer and closer to sunrise, you knew that eventually you would fall asleep, and when you woke up it would be a new day but the bed would still be lonely. You weren’t ready to say goodbye to her yet, you wanted to talk about the future until you were blue in the face and she was home by your side, but Maria never let you compromise your schedule. “Sleep, sweetheart. I’ll call you tomorrow.”
“Stay with me.” You whispered softly, eyes fluttering shut as you surrendered to the pressure of exhaustion behind your eyes. It had been a long three weeks of missing her, but the time apart only grew smaller each time you fell asleep. Even so, you didn’t want to fall asleep alone in a home that you share with her. Even if she couldn’t hold you, you wanted to fall asleep knowing that she was watching you like she did every night when she was here. “I just want to know that you’re here, at least partially.”
You couldn't see Maria, but you knew that she was smiling at you, probably with the cap of her ridiculous Stark Industries pen between her teeth. “I’m not going anywhere. I’ll be right here.”
You smiled, nodding your head. “I love you, Mia.”  “I love you too, cariña.” You didn’t open your eyes to see her smile, but you could hear it in her voice, and only seconds later, you fell asleep knowing that the future you had always wanted was one step closer to fully being yours.

Lost Chance  • Alexia Putellas
Tumblr media
This is pure angst tbh and I accidentally deleted the request but I hope I could do it justice.
Word count: 3.8
“She totally has a crush on you!” Mapi is jumping up and down next to Alexia but the captain rolls her eyes at her friend’s behavior. She moves over to her sports bag and digs around until she finds her shin guards. Mapi looks at her as she expectantly awaits some kind of reaction.
“It’s just puppy love, Maps. Nothing serious” the brunette waves her hand as she sits down and pulls her socks up. She carefully slides in the shin guards, making sure they’re in the right place and Mapi grunts at her words.
“It’s not and you know it!” an accusatory finger is pointed her way but Alexia remains unaffected as she simply raises an eyebrow at Mapi’s immature behavior. She refrains from rolling her eyes again when the blonde drops her arms to her side and exhales loudly.
“We’ve been over this countless times and I told you, I am not interested in her.” Alexia’s voice remains calm as Mapi eyes her with a disbelieving look. The changing room door opens and the two turn to the source but upon noticing that it’s just Ana, they continue the conversation.
“I just don’t get why you won’t give her a chance” Mapi huffs once again and Ana-Maria looks up from her own cleats she had been tying.
“Is this about Y/N again?” clearly, this hadn’t been the first time your name had been brought up regarding the captain and her lack of love life.
“Yes and she still won’t budge. Apparently she’s not interested” Mapi uses air quotes as she fills in Ana who raises her hands in innocence as Alexia shoots her a pointed look.
“She’d be good for you” Ana reciprocates the look her captain gives her and Mapi nods as she turns back to the brunette.
“Girls”
“I’m just saying she’d be good, she knows how to treat a woman.” Alexia raises her eyebrows again at Ana before she stands up, ready for practice.
“Just drop it guys. It’s puppy love.” the blondes give each other a look as the three exit the locker room but they drop the topic for the time being.
This hadn’t been the first time the three - or rather the older women in your team - have spoken to Alexia about you. The captain was vaguely aware of your feelings for her even though you made it blatantly obvious that you were infatuated with everything she did.
The two of you had a complicated relationship. You got along well, you were the extrovert to Alexia’s introvert, the sweet to her shy and most importantly, you made everyone feel comfortable. You were the whole package deal, Mapi and even Marta never failed to remind her.
However, there was one little bump in the road, or rather a whole hill in Alexia’s eyes. For some reason she could never forget about the age gap between the two of you. At first it wasn’t so glaringly obvious - when she didn’t see your age written above your head every time she looked your way.
It was fine for the first four seasons you spent with the team but as you moved up the ranks, moving from being the rookie of the team to being a constant starter and one of Barca’s biggest stars - that’s when the number popped into her head every time she thought of you. The weekly news about the team and the fans didn’t help either, because the two of you were constantly called madre y hija, the present and the future, the mentor and the student, the queen and her heir - you get it.
She saw the difference in age like a gap between two cities, a bridge she was too scared to cross.
“ALE, ALE! PASS!” your voice breaks her out of her thoughts and she looks up from her feet and towards you. Taking a step around Irene she crosses the ball to you and with a proud smile resting on her face she watches as you expertly control the ball and send it flying into the net.
A grin splits across your face as you skip toward her in celebration and she drops an arm around your shoulders.
“Good goal Y/N/N, nice first touch” she compliments and your eyes shine as she does. This was her duty as captain, to hype her teammates up and to praise them and correct them when needed. You knew this yet the proud glimmer in her eyes didn’t fail to get the butterflies in your stomach moving.
“Gracias” you weren’t shy when it came to your skills, you knew you were a promising player for the team’s future. You already were, but the brunette’s praise still made you blush. When Alexia notices she gently nudges you so she can take her arm back and gives you a small smile. She thinks she’s subtle, but she’s never been good at that.
Jonatan’s whistle distracts you though and the coach tells the team that training is over. Alexia wanders to the cooler, deep in thought as she reaches for her water bottle. From the corner of her eye she watches as you jump on Patri’s back, instructing your friend to follow after Jana and Pina.
She takes a big swig of the water as she tries to calm her racing thoughts but as you look down at Jana, she catches herself admiring your side profile. A loud beeping makes her almost choke on the water and she coughs a few times as she clears her throat. The large 23 appears above you, blinding her as it flashes in red and she scoffs, turning her back on you.
“Not interested my ass” Mapi mutters from next to her, making Alexia jump at her voice.
“Where did you come from?!”
Something clicks in Alexia’s brain that night, something she knows she should’ve done a long time ago but she didn’t have enough willpower to do so. She shifts in her bed uncomfortably as she mulls over the thought, nodding to herself in confirmation.
“Bon dia”
Your hand lands on Alexia’s lower back as you catch up to her, smiling from ear to ear. She wants to blame the placement of your hand on the fact that you’re short but she can’t and with her elbows she pushes your arm away from her. She doesn’t look your way as she takes a step to the side and she pretends to not see the confusion flash across your face.
“Are you excited for the El Classico this month? It’ll be your first one since being back!” Your voice carries immense enthusiasm not only for the iconic clash between the two clubs but also your captain’s return to the pitch.
“I am, it will be nice” she doesn’t hold the same excitement as you do but she does muster up a small smile. You frown at the side of her face as she still refuses to look your way.
“Sí and you’ll score a couple of goals. Real Madrid don’t know what’s coming” you lightly laugh as you imagine Los Blancos faces as they’re showered with goals from the one and only Putellas. Alexia’s jaw clenches at the sound, at her own behavior. Yet as she hears the beeping again she refrains from giving you a charming smile like she wants to.
“We’ll see” before you can blink the brunette has disappeared from beside you and you stare after her in slight hurt. Patri, noticing your expression, doesn’t let you dwell on it for too long as she loops an arm around your waist.
“Wanna warm up together?” her toothy grin brings a smile to your face as well and you nod into her shoulder before detaching yourself from her side to get a ball.
You’re a very observant person, everyone knew that about you. Nevertheless, right now you know that your skills are heightened because of your feelings for Alexia. Her avoiding you feels similar to what you imagine a loved one stabbing you in the heart would feel like.
She’s also become more strict. At first she was strict towards everyone on the team and you chalked it up to wanting to be ready for the game against Atletico. However, her closed off behavior continued even after and then before you knew it her glares were only directed at you.
Each time you approached her she’d take the quickest leave possible. Every time you passed her- her bottle she’d barely bat an eyelid at you and reach for another bottle in the cooler, giving Frido an apologetic look when she would drink her water instead.
Your friendship went from talking all throughout practices to barely getting a ‘good morning’ in when arriving at the training facility. It hurt you more than you thought was possible but how could it not when one of your closest friends starts ignoring your existence. You quite literally felt invisible to her.
Mapi glares after her best friend when she notices your eyes gloss over. She approaches you, gratefully taking her water from your hand and she pulls you into her and kisses the side of your head. No words are exchanged between you as she sips on her water but you understand that she’s apologizing for her best friend.
Training was more intense the week of the El Clasico and it was taking a toll on some of you. When Laia slides in as Alexia is dribbling up the field, Irene winces even before Laia’s boots connect with Alexia and the ball. The brunette takes a nasty tumbling and as she doesn’t get up immediately, you’re by her side in an instant. Alexia’s sudden ACL injury last season had caused everyone enough PTSD to raise panic in you the second she stayed put.
“Mierda, mierda!” she’s mumbling into the material of her shirt, only looking up when you lay a gentle hand on her thigh.
“Ale, are you okay? Can you sit up?” your soft words earn you the opposite reaction from what you hoped and the brunette’s eyes harden as she looks you over. She pushes herself up with one arm, the other still holding her ankle. You move with her, getting back up to your feet and holding your hands out.
“Déjame en paz” she spits and your movements falter as she attempts to put pressure on her foot. Your heart is beating out of your chest, terrified as to what would come next.
“Grab my hand, I’ll pull you up” you urge her as she fails to get up on her own, too busy with giving you death stares and she roughly pushes your hand away. You feel the stabbing in your chest again, the heaviness in your stomach.
“Leave me alone”
“Just let me help you Alexia!” you’ve rarely ever said her name, it’s always been Ale but in this moment you think it’s the only way to get her to listen to you.
“I said leave me alone! What don’t you get?! I don’t need your help, I don’t want it and I don’t want you! Go away!” she shouts in fury and this time her voice makes you freeze over. Collective gasps are heard from the rest of the girls as their eyes widen in shock.
You feel your heart stop beating as you slowly straighten up, dropping your arms. Alexia’s grunts are inaudible to you as she stands. You’re wearing a far away expression on your face as your hands start to tremble. Fingers sliding through yours brings you back to the present and your eyes water as you turn to Patri. Your best friend is furious but not with you. Her other hand cradling your face breaks you and the tears start rolling down your cheek.
You barely manage to shake your head at her before you’re off in a sprint towards the changing rooms, an assistant coach ready to follow you. Patri waves her off but before she goes after you, she gives Alexia one last harsh glare.
“You’ve done it now Alexia”
Thirty minutes later when most of the team had already gotten changed and was on the way home, Mapi decides to confront the brunette.
“What is wrong with you?!” her straightforwardness makes Alexia flinch in her seat. Ingrid’s and Panos’ heads snap up while Caro and Frido decide to keep their gazes set firmly on the floor.
“What?” the brunette furrows her eyebrows, she wasn’t new to Mapi’s bluntness.
“You heard me, why are you treating Y/N like she’s a nobody! The girl has done nothing but help you, look out for you and you’ve done nothing but ignore her and give her the cold shoulder!” Mapi is on fire, she was so tired of Alexia treating you the way she has, all because of your feelings for her.
“Mapi I told you I wasn’t interested and you all pushed me-” Frido squints her eyes in confusion.
“Oh no, don’t blame us for how you’ve been behaving! You’ve practically been kicking Y/N to the ground since last week.” Sandra joins in, protective over you.
“This isn’t right Ale, this is no longer about Y/N’s feelings for you-” Marta doesn’t get to finish as the brunette in question interrupts her, the beeping in her ears too loud.
“It’s puppy love not actual feelings.” a beat of silence passes through the group as they look at her with incredulous looks. Mapi has ultimately lost her cool as she detangles her hands from Ingrid’s hold.
“God damn it Alexia! She’s six years younger than you, not sixteen! She knows the difference, we know it’s not puppy love and even you know it!” the defender seethes and Alexia cowards back into her seat.
“She’s not a baby Ale, and you’re not about to retire either. The age gap isn’t that big yet to you it seems to be ground shaking. Nonetheless, that is no way to treat a teammate no matter the circumstances.” Irene speaks up, giving Mapi a pointed look to calm down and waiting until Alexia nods at her. “Now go home and get some rest, we need everyone ready for the match”
The others listen to her words but a few moments later Alexia’s voice cuts through the tense silence.
“Where is she?” she doesn’t have to give a name to let the others know who she’s referring to.
“What are you planning on doing?” Ingrid questions, her gaze not moving from the brunette even as someone walks through the door.
“Apologizing.” she shrugs like it’s nothing. “Where is she?”
“She’s at a friend’s.” Patri, who had walked in answers with a rough voice.
“What friend of hers lives in Madrid?” she gives her captain a disapproving look.
“A real friend” Patri’s sarcastic smile lets the rest know what she’s thinking about.
“You’ll apologize tomorrow before the game” Mapi’s voice makes Alexia turn her attention back to packing the rest of her stuff.
You spend the night crying into the arms of someone you trust and fall asleep in the comfort of their bed. Her brown eyes are dark as she stares up at her ceiling and her jaw involuntarily clenches as she replays the story you’ve told her just a few hours ago. Her arm tightens around you and she pulls you closer to her, wanting to make you feel okay even in your sleep.
The air is weird in the bus heading towards the Real Madrid stadium the next day. The Barca girls have no idea how to act like nothing had happened the other day, they’re ready for the possibility that you wouldn’t even show up. Your club is too dear to you though and when you walk up the stairs with a small smile resting on your face, the girls let out a breath of relief. You’re quick to plop down next to Patri and Claudia and the three of you instantly dive into whatever story Pina has about her aunt.
Arriving at the stadium, you make it easier for yourself and the others as well as you steer clear of Alexia. The brunette only staring after you in regret, the beeping in her ears much quieter than it was before.
Despite the quarrel from yesterday, the team still manages to keep a relatively hyped atmosphere in the guest locker room and you’re pleased to see everyone ready for the game.
Focusing on football and football only, the Barca girls wear determined looks on their faces as they line up in the tunnel.
A nudge from your right makes you look over at the Real Madrid players and Athenea points towards the beginning of their line. Your eyes follow the direction until your eyes land on Misa, the goalkeeper beckoning you over with a grin. A smile takes over your features in an instant and figuring you’ve still got time, you saunter over to the player clad in blue.
“Hola” she pulls you into a tight embrace instead of verbally greeting you and you chuckle into her hold.
Alexia eyes the two of you from next to you and her eye twitches in slight jealousy. Now that she no longer had the beeping screaming her head down, or the number glaring at her, she forgot to act like she didn’t care about you.
Misa keeps you at arms length as she looks you over and you hold onto her shoulders, keeping your gaze on her face.
“Are you okay?” her voice is laced with concern and you smile at your friend reassuringly.
“Y/N get back in line” your captain’s voice rings out from next to you and you give her a look.
 “Now. You can talk to the enemy later.” You almost roll your eyes at her way of wording it while Misa lets out a loud scoff. A squeeze to her shoulders shuts her up though and with one last hug and a look at Alexia, you make your way back to your spot in the line ups.
The match against Real Madrid is intense, like always. This time the Madrid players seemed to have worked more on their defense and Alexia was less than successful with her attempts on goal. It only angers her more that it’s her first El Clasico since she tore her ACL last year. But Barca bring their strongest plays to the game and when the final whistle is blown your team takes the 2-0 victory with pride. A goal from you and a goal from Caro.
Before you get to shake hands with the opposition or celebrate with your teammates a hand on your shoulder stops you.
“I need to talk to you.”
“Later.” you glance at Alexia and she gives in.
“Fine. Find me in the tunnel after.” she waits until you reluctantly nod before letting you go.
“Everything okay?” Patri walks with you, muttering a ‘god game’ here and there as you shake hands with the Madrid players.
“She wants to talk to me.” she scoffs, giving you a look and you shrug.
“I’ll be close just in case” you give her a grateful smile. You loved Patri for being so protective of you, she wouldn’t let Alexia hurt you again.
You’re one of the last ones to enter the tunnel but upon doing so you’re immediately pulled into another body. Lips crash onto yours in a passionate kiss and you’re held close to the person, her strong arms around your waist. You reciprocate the kiss, responding with just as much intensity as your one hand cradles her jaw while the other rests against her stomach. You’re in pure ecstasy, feeling blissful as your lips capture each other over and over.
“I missed you” she whispers onto your mouth and you grin at her, eyes cracking open to find her already beaming down at you with nothing but love.
“You saw me yesterday” Misa gives you a smirk as your hands wander under her shirt and her gloved hands tighten their hold on you.
“That’s what I’m saying, it’s been too long” you laugh at her, the girl only watching you in adoration.
“I missed you too Misa” you whisper honestly, pressing a soft kiss to her jawline. The brunette dips her head as she catches your lips in yet another kiss and she pulls you impossibly closer to her, her back resting against the wall of the tunnel.
The patter of someone’s feet down the hallway doesn’t stop you from moving your hands over Misa’s abs who flexes them to show off. The patter comes to an abrupt stop and Alexia’s heart drops at the sight of you lip locking with the Real Madrid goalkeeper.
Misa can feel her intense gaze on the two of you and she slowly pulls back from your lips. As she lifts her head she brushes her lips against the skin of your forehead before turning to the Barcelona captain.
“Alexia?” you say before you realize and take a step back from Misa. It takes her a moment to find her voice and she fiddles with her cleats that remain in her hands.
“Erm I wanted to talk to you” it’s the one thing she can say before shutting her mouth. If she wouldn’t have she would’ve said a lot more than just that.
“Oh yea, I-I forgot” upon noticing the panic in your eyes Misa slides an arm around your waist and softly pulls you into her side. You smile at her in appreciation. Alexia eyes the interaction in confusion before it dawns on her and she feels the air get knocked out of her lungs. She had been too late.
“You- the two of you..” she struggles to get the words out and for the first time ever you can hear the heaviness in her heart, the realization that maybe you really had more than a puppy love- crush on her.
Misa squeezes your waist in comfort and while you glance up at her, she’s having her own staring contest with Alexia, not faltering under the older woman’s glare-like stare.
“She’s our opponent Ale, not my enemy” you give her the answer, admitting that the girl standing next to you protectively was most definitely more to you than just an international teammate. Alexia swallows hard as she bites her lower lip.
“The Madrid friend” she mumbles almost incoherently. She looks at you one last time taking in the smile on your face as Misa whispers something to you. She hasn’t seen you that happy in weeks, not since she started ignoring you. And then in a blink of an eye she’s out of your sight.
As Alexia rounds the corner she comes face to face with your best friend who stands there, arms crossed over her chest. Patri’s eyes - though they hold a sense of sympathy for the brunette-  are sharp against her and the younger girl clicks her tongue.
“You lost your chance, Capitana”

that's how you get the girl
a/n: kate won the poll so here's a lil smt for her! hope i did the lil archer justice and enjoy!🩶
summary: kate doesn't know how or when to make a move on you, maria nd nat are tired of her awkward flirting!
kate bishop x reader; maria hills x natasha romanoff
mentions of clint! no warnings js wlw fluffiness flash of angst(?)🩶
You and kate first met when you were training with nat and she with clint. so naturally, with both of ur mentors being best friends you two met. since you guys were also offered rooms in the compound you guys saw eachother constantly. clint and nat also wanted you two to get along bc eventually you two would be partners like they were.
in all honesty it was hard to not be friends. you two passed each while you were headed to the gym with nat and when kate was headed to the shooting range with clint. the black haired girl found herself excited for these little moments in both of ur busy schedules. she started getting flustered when you would smile at her briefly and wave at her with ur fingers, whispering a little "hi katie", or when nat and clint were out of town and you two would hang out and get pizza together.
you two became best friends sooner than clint and nat expected but they're weren't ones to complain. as you two got closer to the team you hung out with them more often and even went to starks parties. kate wasn't so excited about that part thinking it would be like her moms galas, but oh was she wrong. first you were there and shit did you look absolutely stunning everything but also the vibe was a whole lot more chill. people didn't care about being formal more just being themselves and having fun
due to this you two found out the maria hills was dating nat! they were the cutest couple ever. you never rlly expected anything bc the kept it professional at work. but they didn't care about you two knowing they were in love and they loved it. the couple found themselves forming a soft spot for you two. being reminded of them being young and falling in love. and being the best agents shield had to offer, they noticed the feelings both of you had for the other. but neither saying anything.
nat would hang out with you at tony's parties to help calm you down and maria started talking to kate, complimenting her work bc maria knew everything duh.
"so you and the archer huh" nat winked at you "woah ms rominoff she's just my friend, plus you told me to be friends w her" she scoffed slightly blushing "it's nat remember and don't act like you don't look at her the way you do honey. plus that girl has heart eyes for you, she follows you like a puppy" "don't be ridiculous nat" you said with a frown, walking away bc sam had called you over . it hurt nats heart knowing that you didn't notice kate's infatuation with you.
on the other side of the room was a fluster kate and a maria trying to hype her up. "y/n's pretty isn't she kate" "yea she's absolutely beautiful" kate sighs maria cackles at kate's daze. kate notices this and immediately gets embarrassed "uhm oh not like that well yes bc she is beautiful not that she isn't but not in that way" "kate stop pretending, it's cute" maria says as she shakes her head. kate's mind was racing. was her crush that noticiable? well ofc she liked you who wouldn't but she didn't have the guts to ask you out, you were way out of her league. " i just, i don't know how" "i can tell. it's getting painfully awkward watching you try to flirt" "ok whatever hill" "hey women up, you're gonna ask her out you here me?" maria challenges
that was a month ago. maria and nat has been helping kate work up the courage and not be so awkward around you. and honestly you fell harder for her, she finally asked you on a date and you hoped she'd confess but she never did leaving you thinking she js wanted to hang out. kate js couldn't get the words out her mouth bc ur beauty had stunned her. although one on of tonys parties, when all the guests left and only the team was there laughing and drinking, you and kate were right next to eachother. and across from you was everyone's favorite couple. you had already been fiddling with kate's hand and she didn't really know what to do.
maria watched kate's struggle as she was trying to make a movie but didn't know how. as this went on for a couple of minutes, watching kate try to find a way to put her arm around you. kate finally caught maria gaze, jumping in her spot a little causing you to turn to kate and giving you a sweet smile. when u turned back to what ever steve was saying, kate turned back to maria to give her a 'wtf what do u want' face. maria just giggled to herself. pointing at kate aggressively and putting an arm around natasha, as to say 'see'. but kate couldn't bring herself to do it as she nodded no fast. but maria being stubborn nodded yes. this went on for a while, no one paying attention luckily. finally kate js did it. fast. both raven haired girls waiting for ur reaction.
you simply scooted closer to her and put your head on her shoulder. kate melted as she watched you with loving eyes. since this moment, kate's confidence boosted
since then the next month was filled with cute dates compliments and cheek kisses. then for the third time at tony's party was when she made the most important move of all. you two decided to be matching as it was a pre-valentine's day party, and you two went as a date. as usual you two went to talk to different people parting ways for a bit, kate went to her new mom at this point updating her on everything. when she's admiring you when maria's talking abt something she didn't rlly pay attention to, she notices your mood switch.
maria notices kate get serious rather than have that dreamy look on her face. suddenly you walk out onto the roof looking as if u we're about to cry. before kate follows you she notices your bitch ass ex with the person they cheated on you with. how tf did they make it here? maria pats kates shoulder "go get her tiger"
kate zooms away throwing ur ex a dirty look in the process. she finds you on the rooftop balcony hugging ur self while trying to wipe the tears away. "y/n..." you turn around trying to act as if nothing was wrong "hi katie" you say, not without ur voice cracking, you can't help it anymore as you burst into tears. kate immediately pulls you in by ur waist hugging you passionately. a few minutes pass and you two are swaying and whispering sweet nothings to each. when kate opens her eyes she met with a cheering nat and maria through the window. she immediately blushes and nods in question. they keep making kissy hands and maria pulls nat in to emphasize their point.
kate breaths in and pulls away. your cheeks are bright red. your eyes are filled with noticiable love. kate lifts your chin and your breath hitches. "can i kiss you?" "mhm~" you respond nervously with a small grin on ur face. as kates lips touch yours you swear you hear fire works. you two giggle and pull apart "tuesday at 7?" "of course katie" you giggle knowing what's going to happen. you two interlock hands and walk away happy as can be. kate turns to maria and nat mouthing a 'thank you'
the next morning when you and kate walk out your room after not wanting to leave eachothers side last night. when kate's staring at you while you make coffee and talk to nat. maria comes up from behind her and slaps her back, " see, that's how you get the girl" she winks. kate smiles and turns back to you. continuing to admire her girl.
a/n sorry that was ass😵‍💫 first time writings not js headcanons lmao but i love kate and i had to think of a prompt on the spot hope you found a little bit of it enjoyable🩶

Okay hear me out (again) is a revival on the rise? Secret Invasion Spoilers!
I am once again…… posting a Maria survival potential outcome (mostly because this is more fun than working and I can’t stop thinking about it)
We are going back to the bar scene in Episode One.
So question, why did Nick and Maria not arrive together at this bar? Weren’t they staying in the same safe house, working together? Maria is just like I need a night off after getting my ass kicked by five foot G’iah which definitely made a lot of sense …. So I am just gonna head off to a bar alone in Moscow because I am not an important lady with an important never described job and I am not an American agent hiding in Russia for an unknown reason, and no one would miss me if I just took off for a night. In fact, apparently no one even misses me if I just like go rogue and stop working on whatever I was working on and go kick around with Fury.  All of this makes perfect sense, no notes. (Ok but see my notes below)
So then Nick comes later to the bar and meets Maria there but Gravik is already at the bar (no one comes in the bar behind him) So wouldn’t this suggest to you in an alleged chess themed spy thriller that Fury was watching where Gravik was going and not Gravik was watching where Fury was going? I mean we learn later that Fury knows Gravik is looking for him and wants something from him and that Gravik has worked with Fury before, and why would these two boneheads just go out to a bar in public when people are looking for Fury- unless they want to be seen.
So then Maria says OUTLOUD in PUBLIC at a BAR THAT GRAVIK IS AT that world famous spy Nick Fury has been ignoring her (!!!) and he hasn’t been the same since the blip and he needs to sit this one out. Nick Fury you cannot do your job and the only reason she called him was because Talos asked her, even though he has your number.  Again, this makes perfect sense, no notes. (But ok again, see my notes below)
- so what if Nick wasn’t ignoring Maria’s messages or calls but what if Maria and Nick just had this conversation out loud where Gravik could hear it. Then Nick can barely even play a simple game of chess against his long time bestie. What if this is all a show and it’s all an act for Gravik. And then Maria is like practically shouting “THE FURY I KNOW IS ALWAYS THREE STEPS AHEAD, STAY OUTTA THIS FIGHT MAN SIT THIS ONE OUT” (even though I called you and picked you up— makes sense. Ok.) Isn’t this conversation weird? Like, Maria, c’mon who is gonna fight the Skrulls? YOU? LITTLE MISS I LEFT MY BULLET PROOF VEST AT HOME? YOU ARE GONNA DO IT? I DON’T THINK YOU ARE GONNA DO IT. Just saying. side note: YOU ARE TELLING ME THAT VARRA AND G’IAH HAVE TIME TO PUT ON BULLET PROOF VESTS THAT THEY JUST HAVE WHILE BEING SHOT AT BUT MARIA DIDN’T WEAR ONE TO A BOMBING? MARVEL WHAT?
- so then after Gravik probably hears this whole conversation I would assume since he also seems to think Nick is some broken sad man.  Nick, Maria, and Talos, engage in what is probably the stupidest fucking plan of strategic spy geniuses anyone could imagine. They go to a planned bombing with absolutely nothing but infrared glasses apparently that they just happen to have and they are going to grab the bombs and put DIRTY BOMBS next to their human/skrull mortal bodies and also does this plot make sense for Nick Fury who is so unbelievably afraid of death that he wouldn’t come back to earth for years? YET somehow this alien-human hybrid bomb squad sans back up is gonna move these bombs away from a crowd and themselves and do it before Gravik sets them off and they will not die next to these bombs, how? Two of these bozos can’t even survive a bullet and a knife wound…apparently… so ok… what? I think everyone universally agrees that this is a stupid stupid stupid plan and it’s so obviously stupid that it genuinely confuses the entire fan base.
But is this actually evidence of a fake out Maria? She is wearing slightly different clothes and her cut has kind of healed way more than you would think overnight.  Because what if it was okay for this version of Maria to die? It make sense that she would just run up to a bomb bag and grab it ….. because otherwise… that would be really fucking stupid and what would stop Gravik from just blowing her up if she took the bag??? [YES I KNOW THERE ARE NO BOMBS IN THERE BUT THEY DON’T KNOW THAT YET---unless they do? gasp?]
Maria also loses her infrared glasses somewhere around this point.  I thought she lost them in the bombing but she actually wasn’t wearing them then! Just saying if you know a bomb is going off like maybe protect your eyes but ok sure it’s not like she protected anything else that day so idk. Additionally, Fury saw Maria get shot and instead of shooting Gravik right away he just doesn’t? Right right, he couldn’t take the .01 second to fire a bullet at Gravik, he had to run to Maria clear his name and then abandon her body on the cold Russian ground….in front of Gravik… (ok Gravik does leave after a hot second) but hey maybe this is another show! I mean after all, Maria did think she could just strut away with a dirty bomb for some reason no one can explain.
Maybe real Maria is in hiding and got some super skrull antidote serum and is gonna sharp shoot it into them. Maybe Maria always knew Skrull Ross was a Skrull and some shit was was up Rhodey and she just had to like pretend or something. Maybe she wanted Rhodey to see she sent a message to Fury, I mean if she sent them before why would this one suddenly cause alarm? I feel like true spy thrillers generally come full circle by the end.  And maybe Maria is who Fury was calling on his ear piece since that is like kind of their thing. And the person on the other side has to be someone expecting his call, it pretty much has to be someone on earth… probably… and Nick already said he wasn’t calling any avengers to get involved so I can’t imagine any one else who is waiting for his call…  so it could be a surprise alive Maria! But it’s probably just G’iah sigh. (lol maybe it’s ant-man jk lmao let’s just have one marvel tragedy at a time please)
Also, the reason potentially that Maria is alive, is that her death just became very public. There’s video of it and it’s going to have to be explained a way some other than “that wasn’t Nick Fury it was just a secret alien disguised as Nick Fury murdering someone.” Because I think that is gonna raise a lot of questions that no one is going to want to answer. And the best away to navigate that whole issue? She’s not dead. SHE’S NOT DEAD. GIRL NOT DEAD. (can’t wait for next Wednesday when they reveal she’s dead dead)
But of course they have to pretend she’s dead because Rhodey is a skrull and they didn’t know that Hill Mommas were gonna get involved and maybe that’s why Fury was an aloof idiot at the body transfer which is not a funeral btw cause Talos had a real body burning funeral and we just saw a box.
So what if the Maria who died was a skrull who shape shifted as Maria but was wearing the Widows Veil as Maria DOUBLE SHAPE SHIFT which is why Maria didn’t turn green when she died. ALSO if Maria was actually Soren that would explain why she thought G’iah was someone suspicious….? But then of course Talos would have been a mess so probably not and  actually I think this would be kind of a terrible explanation for this— the whole thing the double shape shift included (I just thought it was funny) but Talos has to be in on a plan somehow because how did get a car to take him and Fury away from the the scene so fast? Was that always their plan? So they had some kind of tech and plan going on here? This is why the writing in these style of shows is really important because it otherwise comes across as a chaotic mess with too many plot holes?
Also, can Nick Fury really be so terrible he only gets (billion dollar) tech to protect himself, and everyone else has to fuck off and die? I mean I guess so, but this whole I have to do this alone angle is actually pretty dumb for a guy who spent his whole life bringing people together. Also side note the Rick Mason (I figured out his name) cameo was probably legit and not Maria in disguise after all. If Talos dying fixes a broken Fury, then what purpose did Maria’s death serve at all? Everyone has to die for Nick Fury to get out of his man baby spiral — half the fucking planet disappeared in the blip man, get a therapist. In fact, at this point, if this show doesn’t come full circle with a Maria reveal, I would have rather watched six episodes of Nick Fury in therapy, Dr. Katz style.
Either the point of this show is that Fury was three steps ahead the whole time (which tracks), or Fury has gone full on ‘Maria is still alive delusional’ (like me :) ) he’s either right and he is always in even when he’s out, and that nobody calls him nick, and that he can defend the earth like him (which I think would include his closest allies but lmao sure ok) or he is just the old out of touch hanging onto the past sad sack who is so totally out it’s embarrassing and I just can’t imagine they would write a show about that.
Marvel also really went out o the way to give Maria zero cool moments in this whole series … so far and she has so many cool ones in the Secret Invasion comics, they have to give her one!!  ALL SHE DOES IS DIE. SHE DOESN’T EVEN WIN A FIGHT AGAINST A FIVE FOOT LADY SHE RANDOMLY DECIDES TO FOLLOW. So expecting them to comeback with something AWESOME with this character is a full state of delusion that I can’t even comprehend but here I am living it and sharing it with all of you. They even took one of the coolest moments from Maria when they made her a skrull back in Far From Home (which I get they had to do but that means her only other moments are her coughing (the word) testosterone at Tony Stark and Thor (A++ moment btw) and freeing Captain America, Black Widow, and the Falcon (A) but you don’t even really see that one. So they just brought her back to die, and then blast that death on full volume in every episode? Mm nah. I don’t buy it anymore. I mean Marvel go ahead and disappoint, but it would be really cool if you didn’t. Also it would totally change the whole show in a good way. At first I thought a fake out Maria death would be cheap, but now I don’t (bias aside) I think it’s necessary.
So full disclosure on this delusion, Cobie herself has said in a number of interviews that she thinks Maria Hill is dead, “it looks real to me!” “It felt different” “but I don’t know it’s the multi-verse” and she “doesn’t know anything” about being in the Marvels etc. She also said Marvel told her “Maria was going to get shot by skrulls.” Idk i think some of these are interesting phrases but probably nothing. She also posted  a good-bye to Maria Hill on IG but deleted it 40 minutes later. Screencaps here. Interesting though that she used Maria as an LMD escaping the Skrulls. I also believe she has been giving us secret messages via her clothes but probably she didn’t even know what she was posting and was like wow look at these cool Maria action shots in the comics and posted them and then everyone freaked out because she posted Maria as an LMD escaping the Skrulls and she was like whoops gonna delete that. That’s my best guess.
edit: actually i think there is going to be a double shape shift but it won’t be related to Maria it’s going to be G’iah shape shifting into Nick Fury with a full body widow’s veil of Fury too!  that’s why Fury mentioned the new widows veil was full body and G’iah as fake Fury is going to fight Gravik since she’s a super skrull! Bummer Maria is gone for real probably but eh this was a fun theory to rant out.
SECOND EDIT: Maybe we are going to see a flashback involving Maria and Rhodey as we are still waiting on these scenes that Maria and Rhodey supposedly have. Maybe Maria is the one who notices something is up with him from awhile ago?  I know Maria and Rhodey are buddies and it would be great if she was the one who secretly survived and saved him. You can’t tell me Fury didn’t know skrulls were high up in the US Government for sometime now. Maybe we are going to see Ross again in the last episode when everything is explained (I hope cause a lot of explaining needs to be done here?) Like there has to be a reason that Maria and skrull Ross are working in Russia they have to have more of a set up than “we open in Russia where Maria is (no reason) and she is just driving around on her Moscow Vacation but still working and Ross who is also in Russia (no reason) calls her for a pick up and surprise he dies and is a skrull! But don’t worry Talos says not really Ross fake Ross and no one investigates this and wonders about it or even brings it up again.”
If this is really what Marvel did, it would be as stupid as sending a 20+ years of experience agent into a planned bombing and without a shred of protective gear which apparently other women can get and put on in a shoot out... but the one person who probably would definitely have one... for some reason doesn’t and no one has explained this to us why... I just want everyone to know that when I saw Varra and G’iah put on those bullet proof vests I flipped the fuck out.

For someone who said "Sonic" Prime is out of character.
Tumblr media
If you remember Sonic and the Secret Rings, Shahra did say this is not Tails but Sonic can't believe it before going to do quest. Sonic couldn't stop staring at the look-like Tails in the distance.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In Sonic and the black knight, even Sonic knew this wasn't Tails but he still tried to reach his hand. You can't tell how much Tails is important to Sonic. Mr Junichi Kanemaru once said Sonic's very positive and sensitive too. Sonic's so very kind, his heart, so he can hurt very easily if his friends hurt or die because of him.
Tumblr media
That is why this scene Sonic tries to reach his hand to his buddy...and his friends...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When Sonic says "home" to Green Hill, this is also Shadow's home as well-meaning Sonic's friends also his friends too. When you remember Maria's wish, that's how Shadow started to protect Sonic since Sonic Adventure 2 to not let him die from chaos control.
Tumblr media
So Shadow knew how much burden Sonic tried to carry without telling anyone and when only Sonic and Shadow this time, Shadow started to protect Sonic not because he started to care but because he cared about Sonic since Shadow the Hedgehog 2005. "If you want to help them, we need to get out of here" Shadow lost his family once but as long as he exists, his friends will exist even if they are gone. This is what Shadow meant to let go of his past in Shadow the Hedgehog 2005. Protecting the earth means "protecting home" and "protecting friends" he cares about not for Maria's sake anymore but now for his true desire. That's why because Sonic's his friend...Shadow can't let Sonic end up like him.
Tumblr media
Shadow: Even you're not Sonic, but you're still Sonic the one I knew. Thank you for always being by my side, Punch.
Punch: I'm glad I will be able to save you again, Shadow. Even though we had met before I felt like I couldn't let you die again. It's just like I knew you for a very long time.
Shadow: (You reached me like when Sonic reached out to save me before I fell to Earth from the ARK. I remember...If I hadn’t waved Sonic away, Sonic would have fallen with me. But his determination in trying… I’ll never forget that even now. The way you tried to save me. You and Sonic really care about me. Thank you again for accepting me for who I am.)
But no matter how much Shadow tried to stay away from Sonic to not get bonded or be hurt like what was bonding between Maria. Or tried to be an unlimited life form whatever. In the end, Shadow except "Sonic" to help him even though he doesn't like it. So this is connected to Tsubasa of Phantasia, in this scene why Shadow's feeling both glad and sad when Punch comes to rescue him.
Tumblr media
Silver's much different from both Sonic and Shadow. Silver is the hero of justice but doesn't know how the truth behind it, unlike Shadow. Shadow knew Silver tried to hurt Sonic so he jumped to protect him from Silver and take Silver to the real truth behind the past. Shadow is more careful and quick than Silver. Shadow taught Silver to discover the truth and thanks to Shadow. Silver decides to do the right thing not to change the past but to change the future.
Tumblr media
"Leave the past behind and keep moving to the future". And this is what this scene means. Shadow lets Sonic see the past mistake again and change the present now before everything is too late just like Shadow did to Silver once(Even Shadow didn't remember).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Thanks from Tailstube, this is the hint how the relationship between Tails and Shadow. In Sonic Prime, Shadow knew Sonic couldn't accept what happened because of his fault so Shadow knew that he could help Sonic.
Tumblr media
"Shadow" is a hero that helps people in their Shadow. That's what his name mean.

Year-End Poll #51: 2000
Tumblr media
[Image description: a collage of photos of the 10 musicians and musical groups featured in this poll. In order from left to right, top to bottom: Faith Hill, Santana and Rob Thomas, Santana and The Product G&B, Joe, Vertical Horizon, Destiny's Child, Savage Garden, Lonestar, Matchbox Twenty, Toni Braxton. End description]
More information about this blog here
Welcome to the new millennium. A good year for country, ballads, and country ballads. Alternative rock is starting to appear more in the pop charts, and the genre will soon come to define the sound of rock for this decade (along with post-grunge, which will come later). Latin pop and rock is also growing in popularity, with artists like Ricky Martin, Enrique Iglesias, and the mainstream resurgence of Carlos Santana. This sound would also have a lot of influence over pop and R&B songs by non-Latin artists. Not coincidentally, this is also the year the Latin Grammy Awards was created. These genres do have there distinct sounds and characteristics, but a lot of American music publications at the time used the labels to describe "any pop or rock song in Spanish". I don't think I could do the nuances of this topic justice, so for more of that I'd recommend reading Rock the Nation: Latin/o Identities and the Latin Rock Diaspora by Roberto Avant-Mier.
2000 is also notable for being the year Metallica sued Napster. This suit would later be followed by A&M Records, Inc. v. Napster, Inc., in which Napster was sued by A&M Records and 18 record companies and members of the Recording Industry Association of America. But for most of the year, Metallica (specifically the band's drummer, Lars Ulrich) was the prominent example of artists fighting against music piracy. This is important to bring up, because issues surrounding the cost of music will continue to shape the record industry for the following decades. But more importantly, it gives me an excuse to share this anti-Napster PSA Metallica made for MTV. You're welcome.

Her father was Latino, and her mother was Dutch. Despite her international upbringing, Angela spent the majority of her formative years in the United States, where her family eventually settled.
Angela is the younger cousin of Maria Hill, a high-ranking agent within S.H.I.E.L.D. Despite their differing personalities, Angela and Maria share a strong familial bond, characterized by affection, rivalry, and camaraderie.
Angela's dynamic with Maria involves playful banter and occasional disagreements, but underneath it all, there's a deep-seated bond and mutual respect. Their contrasting personalities often lead to humorous exchanges, with Angela teasing Maria about being too bossy and Maria rolling her eyes at Angela's impulsiveness.
As she grew older, Angela found herself drawn to the world of espionage and covert operations. Inspired by the tales of daring agents and heroic deeds, she set her sights on joining the ranks of S.H.I.E.L.D., a prestigious organization known for its dedication to protecting the world from various threats.

However, she can be sharp and take risks to push them into seeing their weaknesses and strengths, a trait she inherited from her cousin Maria Hill.
Having grown up with an interesting family dynamic, she believes everyone deserves a helping hand and to be taken care of, even if it means bandaging up a wound, having someone to listen, or a shoulder to cry on. She will not hesitate to call the shots and order someone to clean up a wound or check up on another teammate, not caring if the person hesitates, she wants it done.

Dark Side:
Despite Angela's intelligence, fierceness, and compassion, she struggles with self-doubt and has a tendency to think poorly of herself.
She has been manipulated by others in the past, leading her to take actions and trust the wrong people based on false beliefs.
Angela has experienced mind control firsthand, being manipulated by antagonists to do their bidding and see a darker side of herself that she never knew existed.
On one occasion, she was affected by an element that temporarily gave her powers, leading her to unintentionally cause chaos and harm. This experience left her traumatized and wary of mind control, causing her to question her own abilities and morality.
Angela's vulnerability during such situations often leads her to lock herself behind closed doors, questioning how she could allow herself to be used for dark tasks and causing her to cry as she struggles with feelings of guilt and self-blame.
Dynamic with Maria Hill:
Angela shares a close familial bond with her cousin Maria Hill, a high-ranking agent within S.H.I.E.L.D.
Despite their differing personalities, Angela and Maria have a strong bond characterized by affection, rivalry, and camaraderie.
They often engage in playful banter and occasional disagreements, but underneath it all, there is a deep-seated bond and mutual respect between them.
Tumblr media
Like Maria can be like, "I do not hate you, Angie. It's just, you kind of get on my nerves,  but I do like you around."
Meanwhile Angela smiles and replies, "That's a start. I don't hate you either, but you're just kinda bossy."
~~~~~
Dating life: Angie is single but has gone on a couple of dates with men and women before. Typically, a friend sets her up with someone else because they know she is a homebody and would rather not leave her home. But she never really found out what she really wants in a partner because she doesn't know how to handle a relationship per say, however she is open to trying out a date or so.
Goals, Personal Challenges, and Aspirations:
Despite facing numerous personal challenges and grappling with self-doubt, Angela remains resilient and determined to forge her own path.
Initially uncertain about her career as a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, Angela contemplated changing careers within the organization, questioning her aspirations and place within the agency.
While her goal is to continue serving as a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent whenever possible, Angela harbors a desire for something more. She originally dreamed of becoming a teacher, a profession she still holds in high regard.
Angela occasionally wonders how her cousin Maria perceives her, especially given the trouble she finds herself in at times. Despite these doubts, Angela recognizes that life is unpredictable and constantly changing, which motivates her to embrace new challenges and opportunities for growth.
Similar to Clint Barton, Angela enjoys her life and the unique position she holds within S.H.I.E.L.D., but she also yearns for a life beyond the organization. She dreams of exploring her hobbies of traveling, cooking, and acquiring new skills. She envisions living off the grid someday, immersing herself in nature and finding peace away from the chaos of the world.
Angela contemplates the idea of starting a family of her own one day, but she remains uncertain if she's ready for that level of commitment or if she can find the time to balance it with her career and personal aspirations.
Meaningful Objects and Symbolism:
Angela treasures two significant items: a 'C' necklace and a half moon bracelet, both of which were gifts she received during a small trip to Latin America when she was 12 years old. These items hold sentimental value for her, serving as reminders of cherished memories from her childhood and connections to her cultural heritage.
Additionally, Angela has adorned herself with tattoos that hold personal symbolism and meaning. Each tattoo represents significant moments or experiences from her past, serving as a visual reminder of the challenges she has overcome and the person she has become as a result.
Tumblr media
Quirks and Habits:
Angela has several unique quirks and habits that set her apart. When feeling anxious, she often chips her nail polish absentmindedly, a telltale sign of her inner turmoil.
During meetings or situations where she's required to stay in one place for an extended period, Angela copes by rubbing her thumb and middle finger together, a subtle but effective way to manage her restlessness.
When annoyed or only half paying attention, Angela has a tendency to hold back a roll of her eyes or respond with a nonchalant hum, conveying her frustration without outright confrontation.
While listening intently to someone, Angela frequently furrows her eyebrows and cutely pouts her lips, a subtle yet endearing expression that reflects her focused attention and thoughtful demeanor.
Relationships with Other Marvel Characters:
Over the months and short term years, Angela has had numerous encounters with members of the Avengers, including Steve Rogers (Captain America), Tony Stark (Iron Man), and Thor. These interactions have exposed her to different perspectives and ideologies, shaping her understanding of the world and her role within it.
Angela made her first appearance in Iron Man 2, where she assisted in shadowing Black Widow while the redhead was undercover as Tony Stark's assistant. This experience introduced her to the world of high-stakes espionage and collaboration with iconic heroes.
She later appeared in Thor (2011) as one of the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents stationed in New Mexico during Thor's arrival on Earth. Her involvement in this mission further solidified her role within the organization and her interactions with Asgardian beings.
Angela has also crossed paths with the Young Avengers and future S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, who have challenged her own values and beliefs. These encounters have forced her to confront her own ideals and reconsider her place in the world, as she navigates the complexities of heroism and duty.
Each interaction with these Marvel characters has provided Angela with new insights and perspectives on topics of interest, broadening her horizons and shaping her identity as a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent and as an individual.
The world stood on the brink of chaos, caught in the grip of fear and uncertainty. Across the globe, high-profile SHIELD agents were being systematically assassinated, leaving a trail of devastation in their wake. These agents were no ordinary operatives; they were former Avengers, once the champions of hope and justice. Now, their lives were extinguished in a series of ruthless killings that shook the foundations of the intelligence community.
Natasha Romanoff sat in a dimly lit briefing room at the heart of SHIELD headquarters, surrounded by holographic screens displaying images of the fallen agents. The room was heavy with tension, and the sense of loss hung in the air like a suffocating fog. Director Nick Fury, his one good eye fixed on the images before him, leaned forward, his fingers steepled beneath his chin.
"Natasha, we're facing a crisis," Fury's gravelly voice cut through the silence. "We've lost six former Avengers in as many days. All of them were targeted and eliminated with surgical precision."
Natasha's gaze shifted from the holographic images to Fury's stern face. The weight of the situation settled on her shoulders. She had faced threats before, but this felt different. These were her comrades, her friends, and now they were being hunted like animals.
"Who could orchestrate something like this?" Natasha's voice was low, laced with a mixture of anger and disbelief.
Agent Maria Hill, standing beside Fury, keyed in a command, and the holographic screens changed to display a complex web of interconnected data points.
"We've been tracking the pattern of these attacks," Hill explained, her finger tracing lines that connected the assassinations. "There's a common thread: all of these agents were part of the same Avengers team, the one that disbanded after the Sokovia incident."
Natasha's mind raced as she connected the dots. The Sokovia incident had been a turning point for the Avengers. The mission had gone awry, resulting in widespread destruction and civilian casualties. The team had disbanded amidst public outcry and political pressure.
"The team fell apart after Sokovia," Natasha murmured, her memories flashing back to the turmoil of that time.
Fury's eye bore into Natasha, his gaze intense. "There's more to it, Natasha. The mission wasn't just a failure. It was a setup, a trap orchestrated by an organization we thought was eradicated."
The room grew colder as the implications of Fury's words sank in. Natasha's mind raced back to Hydra, the shadowy enemy they had fought against for years. If Hydra had returned, it explained the calculated brutality of the assassinations.
Fury continued, "And there's one more detail, Natasha. The assassin behind these attacks, the one who's systematically targeting our former agents, is one of your own."
Natasha's heart skipped a beat. She had thought herself free from the ghosts of her past. But now, those ghosts had resurfaced in the most horrifying way possible.
"Y/N Y/L/N," Hill's voice was somber as she projected an image of a young woman onto the holographic screens. Y/N, the youngest member of their Avengers team, the one with boundless optimism and an unwavering belief in the power of good.
Natasha's jaw clenched as she stared at the image. Y/N had been a force of nature, a bright light in their darkest moments. She had brought hope to their team, and now that light had been snuffed out, replaced by darkness and violence.
"The world needs to know about this," Fury's voice was resolute. "We can't let fear dictate our actions, but we need to act swiftly. Natasha, I'm putting you in charge of this investigation."
Natasha met Fury's gaze, her resolve hardening. She would uncover the truth behind the assassinations, bring down whoever was responsible, and save Y/N from the path she had taken. As she left the briefing room, her mind was a whirlwind of memories and determination. The echoes of her past were resounding, and the echoes of the fallen Avengers would drive her to uncover the painful truth behind these deadly echoes.
..
Tokyo stood before Natasha Romanoff like a multi-faceted gem, its neon-lit streets a mesmerizing blend of tradition and modernity. As she stepped onto the bustling sidewalks, the city's pulse resonated through her senses. But underneath the veneer of vibrancy lay a darker underbelly, a realm of secrets, crime, and danger.
Natasha's journey led her through the heart of Tokyo's nightlife district. Neon signs adorned the buildings, casting a kaleidoscope of colors onto the streets below. The air hummed with the sound of laughter, music, and the distant hum of traffic. Yet, as Natasha knew all too well, danger often thrived in the shadows of beauty.
The trail Natasha followed was a web of breadcrumbs left by Y/N Y/L/N, a former Avenger turned rogue. The assassinations had led Natasha to this city, where the pursuit of truth intertwined with the hunt for a fallen comrade.
Her initial investigations brought her to a dimly lit bar tucked away in a narrow alley. The low murmur of conversations and the clinking of glasses filled the air. Natasha's reputation preceded her, and wary glances followed her as she entered. The bartender, a stocky man with a tattooed arm, met her gaze with a mixture of wariness and recognition.
"I need information," Natasha said in a voice that carried a weight of authority.
The bartender motioned her to a secluded booth, his eyes scanning the room as if searching for eavesdroppers. As Natasha took a seat, he leaned in, his voice a conspiratorial whisper.
"You're looking for Y/N Y/L/N," he said, his tone a blend of caution and respect. "Word on the street is that she's been tearing through the city, leaving a trail of chaos."
Natasha's jaw clenched. The image of Y/N, a once-bright beacon of hope, now consumed by darkness, was difficult to reconcile. The bartender's information only fueled her determination to find Y/N and bring her back from the brink.
"Where is she now?" Natasha asked, her gaze unwavering.
The bartender hesitated, then leaned in further, his voice barely audible. "Hydra's got her, but she's wounded. She's been keeping a low profile, licking her wounds while plotting her next move."
Natasha thanked him with a nod, and a roll of bills changed hands discreetly. Money was a universal language in the world of informants and criminals, and the bartender's eyes glinted with a mix of gratitude and greed.
In the days that followed, Natasha delved deeper into Tokyo's intricate criminal web. The city's underbelly was a labyrinth of hidden alleys, underground fight clubs, and illicit dealings. Every step brought her closer to Y/N, but it also exposed her to increasingly dangerous adversaries.
One evening, as Natasha navigated a dimly lit alleyway, a group of thugs emerged from the shadows, surrounding her with malicious intent. Their leader sneered, revealing a jagged scar across his cheek.
"Well, well, what do we have here?" he taunted, cracking his knuckles. "You're in the wrong part of town, sweetheart."
Natasha's eyes narrowed, her body tensing in anticipation. The fight that ensued was a symphony of swift, calculated movements. She dispatched her assailants with a mixture of precision and efficiency, leaving them groaning in pain on the pavement.
Her prowess in combat didn't go unnoticed. From the shadows emerged a figure, dressed in dark attire, her eyes gleaming with a mixture of defiance and curiosity.
"Impressive," the woman remarked, her voice carrying a hint of amusement. "You're not your average tourist, are you?"
Natasha's guard remained up as she studied the stranger. The woman introduced herself as Kaito, a brilliant hacker known for her audacity and penchant for trouble. Kaito's words held a promise of knowledge that Natasha needed.
"I know why you're here," Kaito said cryptically, her fingers dancing over a compact keyboard. "If you want to find Y/N, you'll need my help."
An alliance, born out of necessity and mutual interest, began to take shape. Natasha realized that Kaito held valuable information that could lead them closer to Y/N's whereabouts. Together, they dove into the digital underbelly of the city, tracing encrypted communication channels that Hydra used to relay their orders and directives.
The duo's partnership brought them face-to-face with a rogue's gallery of adversaries. Natasha's combat skills and Kaito's technical expertise complemented each other seamlessly. They encountered Yakuza enforcers with inked skin and steely resolve, each encounter a test of their resourcefulness and resilience.
One particularly tense evening, Natasha and Kaito found themselves in a high-stakes poker game held in an underground casino. The tension was palpable as the chips exchanged hands, and Natasha's unreadable expression earned her both respect and suspicion from the other players. Kaito's nimble fingers danced over a set of electronic devices, feeding her real-time data that helped Natasha make calculated decisions.
As the night wore on, Natasha's winnings grew steadily. But it wasn't just money that she was after. Among the participants was a man rumored to have ties to Hydra's operations in Tokyo. The game became a battle of wits, with Natasha's poker face concealing her true intentions.
With a final, calculated move, Natasha went all-in, pushing her remaining chips to the center of the table. The tension in the room was electric as the other players weighed their options. The man with rumored Hydra ties met her gaze, his eyes narrowing in contemplation.
"I fold," he said, his voice curt.
Natasha's heart raced as she revealed her hand, a royal flush that left the other players in awe. As the chips were pushed in her direction, a subtle nod from the man confirmed her suspicions.
After the game, Natasha and Kaito retired to a secluded corner of the casino. Natasha's mind was a whirlwind of thoughts, the night's revelations bringing her one step closer to unraveling the enigma that was Y/N Y/L/N.
As the neon lights of Tokyo cast an otherworldly glow on the city, Natasha and Kaito delved deeper into their investigation. The backdrop of neon-lit streets, hidden backrooms, and high-stakes encounters formed the backdrop of their relentless pursuit. The city's vibrant energy was a stark contrast to the darkness they were unraveling, a reminder that danger often wore a beguiling mask.
With each step, Natasha's resolve deepened. She was determined to navigate Tokyo's labyrinthine criminal network, to uncover the truth behind Y/N's descent into darkness, and to face the challenges that lay ahead. As the shadows lengthened, Natasha's path became clearer, leading her ever closer to the truth that awaited her in the heart of the city.
*thoughts*
Tumblr media
Wanda was peacefully sitting underneath a tree, reading a book while her fellow Avengers played a game of football; sparing a fleeting glance your way every so often just to see as you shuffled through your shield paperwork.
Leave it to you to work on a day off.
"You're staring again..." Natasha teases, as she settles down beside her close friend and passes her a lemonade.
"I have no clue what you're on about Nat." She feigns unawareness, flipping to the next page of her book even if she didn't exactly finish the last one.
"She's a smitten kitten, why don't you just make your move already?"
—————
Wanda remains silent, choosing to ignore Natasha in the hopes that she'd just drop it. However, she should've known better, seeing as the assassin will stop at nothing to get what she wants.
"You know, I might've intentionally overheard a conversation earlier, and it seems like Carol has plans to make a move on her at the party tonight..." Natasha calmly relays.
Wanda sighs dramatically, reluctantly closing her book, and turning to glare at the Russian. It's honestly a fair question, the witch has been interested in you for quite some time, and anyone with eyes can see you're fairing no better, but she's also really enjoyed this cat and mouse game she's been playing with you.
Now though, she's guessing it's time to bring it all to an end, and that means she must find the perfect number for tonight's events.
"Wear the maroon suit." Natasha humorously shouts out after her friend as she watches Wanda's oh so "cool" form silently heading indoors.
•~~~~~~~~~~~~••~~~~~~~~~~~~•
Wanda had been working out with Natasha when the AI announced that there was an emergency meeting that required all avengers to be in attendance. The urgent nature of the message left the women in their gym attire, they entered the room with thin layers of  sweat upon their skin, and towels around their necks.
"Thank you all for joining us, I'm sorry for the urgent message, however I'm currently pressed for time, and I'd like you to meet Y/N Y/L/N. She'll be transferring over to assist in covert missions, some of you already know her, the rest of you best be good to her, I'll know if you're not." Fury announces, then swiftly leaves the room, leaving the seemingly shy woman up front.
"Hey Y/N/N." Natasha greets, standing up to pull you into her embrace.
"Hey Natty..." You sweetly greet, and the entire room is full of gasping individuals.
"Natt—."
"Watch yourself Stark, Y/N and I here go way back. Now, let me introduce you all in an orderly fashion then you'll be excused." Natasha firmly announces, before going through everyone outside of the Sokovian.
Wanda watched you closely, admiring your subtle beauty—observing the gentle smile upon your face, and your seemingly docile nature as you shook everyone's hands.
Which is why when she stood to introduce herself she nearly choked at your forming thoughts.
*Jesus, your beauty is unrivaled, the media portrayal certainly doesn't do you justice.*
"Hi, you must be Wanda, I've heard so much about you." You greet with that stupid—gorgeous—smile on your face.
"Oh no, if it's coming from her, then I'm almost certain I should be worried." Wanda teases, somehow keeping her cool while pretending she didn't just hear you call her beautiful.
*Yeah, only the boring stuff... Looking at you now though, I'm almost certain you're a wild card.*
"Mostly." You tease back, subtly winking her way before linking arms with Nat as she ushers the both of you out of the room.
Once out of the room Nat locks her gaze with yours for a silent conversation, so you promptly drop your arm from hers.
"Alright, it was truly lovely to finally meet you Wanda, I'll see you around. Nat, I'll be setting up my room if you need me. Have a good workout ladies."
*Whatever you're doing, it's clearly working*
Wanda immediately blushes, not missing the way that your eyes had carefully roamed over her body. Then as soon as you're out of sight Wanda turns to Nat who's already staring back at her with a knowing smirk.
"You know, she's single." The Russian teases while walking backwards towards the gym, and Wanda simply glares her way before sighing in complete exasperation.
"I didn't say anything..." She grumbles, and the redhead laughs rather boisterously as she runs on ahead of her with a prominent pout.
•~~~~~~~~~~~~••~~~~~~~~~~~~•
While slowly working on your paperwork you took notice of the way that Wanda annoyedly leaves your mutual best friends side, and you shake your head knowing she must've been teasing her about one thing or another.
Natasha Romanoff was many things, but above all else—that girl was a tease.
•~~~~~~~~~~~~••~~~~~~~~~~~~•
"Y/N/N, whatcha reading?" Natasha asks, boredom ever present in her tone, which usually only ever means trouble.
"A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Spark."
"Oh God, absolutely not!" She says with a whole body cringe, then quite literally rips the book from your hand, tossing it across the common room as if it had burned her.
"Natasha, what the hell?" You gasp indignantly, looking up to see her face remains neutral and her shoulders shrug.
"I had to save you from yourself, come now, we have far better things we could be doing!" She instructs, then pulls your reluctant form from the love chair and out of the room.
"Swimming? That's the 'better thing' I should be doing?" You groan, taking your place in the lounging chair, then to Natasha's dismay you pull out another Nicholas Spark book.
"You're absolutely insufferable Y/N/N! Put the tragic romance novel down, and see if you can live out your very own."
"My very own tragic romance?" You snort out in question, raising a brow at her, and she smirks your way.
"Yeah, that's what you and witchy are living the more you both run from the inevitable."
Before you can slap at your rather annoying friend she's diving into the outdoor pool, and you're opening "The Notebook," and settling down into the chair. The peace is short lived as the distinct smell of 'Lavender—Vanilla' surrounds you, and it's then that you're reminded that this is Wanda's swim time.
*There's that sweet perfume that just makes her even more irresistible.*
"Hiya stranger!" Wanda greets from behind your chair, internally cringing at the awkward way that she's chosen to greet you, but nonetheless she rounds the chair to be stood before you.
"What brings you around these parts?" She inquires playfully, duly noting the genre of book in your hand, and gently smiling your way to ease any rising tension she's sensing.
"Well, Natasha 'Little Shit' Romanoff threw my other book on the floor then brought me to the swimming pool to 'save me'." You reply with an edge to your voice, but once you meet her stare your tension fades away.
*Well damn, she looks like an actual Goddess, and here I am looking like a bum... It's true—God has favorites, because the way the sun is just casting a glow over her is truly angelic, and that smile—Jesus, one might think she's trying to kill me...*
"You sure you're not just here to watch me go swimming? Romanoff's not even here." She teases, knowing good and well that Natasha just snuck away, but really she wants to see you squirming—maybe she is out to kill...
"I-Uh-I swear she was just here." You stutter out, gaze falling to the now empty pool, and you sigh in frustration.
*Meddling little asshole, I swear to God she better watch her back...*
"I'm just kidding Y/N/N, I just saw her sneak into the garden. Might as well stay and keep me company though, you can kill her for abandoning you later." She lightheartedly relays with a playful smile, then ends it with a wink before dropping her coverall and revealing her bikini clad body.
*Fucking hell... How can one human just continue to be so perfect... Maybe I won’t have to destroy Nat…*
Wanda smirks to herself before diving into the pool, as you settle back into your lounge chair, book settled in your lap and eyes cast to the beauty in the pool before you.
•~~~~~~~~~~~~••~~~~~~~~~~~~•
"Y/N!"
Oh no... Wanda's gone, so now she's here to bother you.
"Romanoff..." You dully greet, taking no notice of the scowl on her face at your response, but she continues plotting anyways.
"Let's go shopping! We can spend all of Tony's money, get you something nice for the party so that you can impress Wanda, and maybe give you the confidence to finally make a move..."
"Nat, she doesn't want me, let it —."
Natasha scoffs at your blasphemous statement, then drags you off the field against your will towards her car, silently shoving you in. Sounds of your loud protests and tires screeching gets no more than a shoulder shrug or shake of the head from the men.
"Dorogoy, you're going to wow the socks off of Wanda when she sees you in this outfit." Natasha beams over the bite of her food court salad, mood drastically lowering as she sees the insecurity written all over your face.
"Nat, I'm not sure if this is even a good idea, I'm so average—borderline boring, and she's just so far out of my league. The last thing I want is to ruin our friendship over my unrequited feelings, or to be absolutely humiliated when she laughs in my face."
"First of all, you're well above average, there's a reason I keep you around... Truthfully, she'd be more than lucky to have you Y/N, so stop selling yourself short, you're an absolute catch. If not for my undying love for Maria, and the fact that you're my best friend, I'm sure we could've been something." She starts, playfully winking at you which causes you to roll your eyes and faux gag at the thought.
"Second of all, unrequited isn't the right word here, seeing as how she's absolutely obsessed with you, and the only one unaware of this is you. Trust me, I'd know being that I'm a spy and all that jazz... Lastly, that girl would never laugh in your face, even if you were right about being out of her league, she's far too kind."
"Fine! But if this all goes wrong and blows up in my face, you owe me a weekend getaway!" You grumble over a bite of your sandwich, while mindlessly stirring your soup, and watching as the steam billows from the bowl.
"If I'm right, then we'll go on a couple's retreat, courtesy of Tony's black card." She replies with a knowing smirk as she holds the card up, and you roll your eyes but nod in agreement.
The lunch was good, but the mall's broccoli cheddar soup could simply never compare to that of your favorite witches "Russian Chicken Noodle,” well her food in general actually.
•~~~~~~~~~~~~••~~~~~~~~~~~~•
Dull pain shot through the entirety of your body—originating from your head, at the exact moment you'd tried to sit up in your bed. Ignoring the pain was part of the plan, but after the sham of a shower you'd just taken did nothing to soothe your pain you found yourself reflexively crawling back in your bed.
Wanda was sat in the kitchen come mid afternoon, wondering where in the hell you were, seeing as how missing meals was never part of your agenda. She'd made your favorite pancakes for breakfast, heavily disappointed when you didn't make it down, but she'd just assumed you overslept.
Now though, having heard from you for weeks about how today was 'Make your own Pizza' day, she knew something had to be wrong with you as your seat remained empty. Hurried footsteps went unnoticed by your wheezing, slumped form, as sleep continued to unrelentingly consume you. Wanda's face dropped at the sight of your shivering form, her hand however flinched back upon making contact with your heated skin.
"Oh, sweetheart, you're burning up..." She whispers, then places a gentle kiss to your temple.
A reflexive upturn of your lips had the witch herself smiling at your bodies natural response to her affections. With your inhibitions beyond low your entire slurry of thoughts came tumbling out of your brain.
*Does Thor understand how much sugar is in a poptart? Does that even affect his Asgardian form the same? Poptarts are so good though.*
*I want chicken noodle soup...*
*Natasha's face is just so punch able...*
*Do birds really work for the bourgeoisie?*
Wanda snorts at your unfiltered thoughts, then secures a cold rag over your forehead before she makes her way down to the kitchen to fulfill your 'dreams'.
"Whatcha doing? Oh my gosh, is that the Russian version of chicken noodle soup? Mama Melina used to make it whenever we were missing home."
"Yes, it is, and no, it isn't meant for you."
Natasha gasps in faux offense, with a hand clutching tightly to her invisible pearls.
"Who else would be able to appreciate such fine dining then Wands?"
"Y/N, who is apparently deathly ill upstairs, and it's miraculously come to my attention that she wants chicken noodle soup, so I thought I'd give her the superior version."
Wanda relays, while stirring the massive chicken meatballs around in the pot, sighing in pure satisfaction as the healing aroma reaches her nostrils.
Natasha hums in acknowledgment, seemingly conceding, but as soon as Wanda's turned her back to her she's ladling some soup into a plastic cup then swiftly running off.
"I saw that Romanoff!" Wanda tuts, but smiles to herself at the antics of her friend while she now prepares bowls for the both of you.
"Worth it!" She shouts back from afar, having already made it halfway up the stairs with no plans of stopping.
Wanda's prepared a tray to bring to your room, a bowl full of the soup sits in the center, to the right is a mini vase with a singular flower in it, then just before the vase is a cup full of pills. To the left is three full glasses lined up with: a green smoothie, ice water, and orange juice at your disposal.
She enters your room with the use of her powers to see you sat up in a daze, brutally coughing and whimpering after each harsh one jolts your body.
"Good morning Y/N/N, why didn't you tell anyone that you were sick, hm?"
"I found out this morning, took a shower, then went right back to sleep." You groan, failing to make a joke like normal, and that's when Wanda knows you're truly miserable.
"I made you some soup, then I also brought you some immune boosting drinks and loads of medicine to get you all healed up."
*She's an actual angel sent from above...*
"Thanks Wands.."
..
"Wait, how did you know I'm sick?"
"I was worried, so I came up here to check on you after you missed 'Make Your Own Pizza Day' and I found you shaking while simultaneously burning up. I’m the reason you had a rag on your forehead." She admits, then rolls her eyes at your smug smile.
*She cares about me, that's cute..*
"Worried huh?" You tease, regretfully so as karma hits you when you start to cough up a lung.
"Yeah, and rightfully so." She cringes at the sight, then passes you the medicine followed by the water.
"Thank you Wanda, truly, but you didn't have to do any of this—I'm a big girl."
"Oh, will you just hush? Just let me take care of you sweetheart, it’s best not to fight me either, because we both know that I always get what I want!”
You giggle at her exasperated expression, scowling a moment later as she slaps the spook from your hand.
"It's still hot, and like I said, I'm here to tend to you." She playfully scolds, then lifts the spoon up to blow the steam away.
Once she raises the spoon to your mouth you just stare at her with furrowed brows, then as you went to protest she took the opportunity to shove the spoon into your mouth. Reluctantly you closed your lips around it to prevent a splattering of soup across your bed.
*Fuck, this is delicious...*
If your thoughts didn't already confirm it, the sounds of your delighted moans did, Wanda was more than grateful for your preoccupied mind and closed eyes keeping you from seeing her flushed face, and clenched thighs.
"Jesus, Wands, this is divine. I take it back, please always take care of me when I'm sick. Campbells canned soup could never compare."
"With pleasure." She sincerely states, your heart tightening at the thought that she could mean it in the way you wish, but you quickly shake it off then accept the next mouthful.
Once you finished your food, then subsequently threw up a third of your stomachs contents you settled back into bed. Wanda had removed all the blankets from your bed against your persistent protesting, and promised that once your fever broke she would return them to you.
*She better cuddle me then, I wonder what it would be like to be her little spoon...*
"Then you need to find a way to keep me warm, I’m freezing to death over here." You grumbled with a deep pout, then your breath caught in your throat when she settled down beside you, and pulled you against her, your back flush against her front.
"Whatever you need Y/N/N, you wish is my command, but I’ll have you know I'm supposed to be keeping you the opposite of warm." She chuckes out, then reaches over you for your remote and pulls up "The Last Song" on Disney Plus.
*This is nice—perfect even...*
Wanda couldn't help to agree, this truly did feel like the most natural thing for her, she tightened her hold on you and sighed against your neck while getting into the movie.
"That guy kinda looks like Thor, don’t you think?" You sleepily mumbled, and Wanda nodded against you in agreement while she observed the male love interest’s features.
*Who knew that being sick would make me this lucky? She smells so good...*
Within a matter of minutes your deep snores, fueled by congestion filled the room, and your body shifted until you were flat on your back. Wanda's arm remained loosely over your abdomen, and she propped herself up on her other arm and took the free moment to just stare down at you. Even when sick you were still the most beautiful thing to look at, and she felt truly blessed to be able to hold you.
"Goodnight angel." She whispered, then lazily smiled when you rolled once more to face her with your arm now around her.
In that moment she decided she'd stay with you for as long as you'd allow her, ignoring the way your breaths felt against her skin, and allowing your closeness to lull her to sleep
Wanda arrives to her room, heeding her friends advice, because even though she's an annoying asshole, she still does make great calls and this suit is sure to garner your attention.
Her focus then shift to the rest of the look as she sorts through her products to settle on a natural makeup look, before moving on the the most important part—the accessories.
Wanda had asked you to spar with her today since Natasha was off on a mission, and this was the one area she still felt she still needed improvement in. She's seen you hold your own with Natasha, but mostly she's been observing your weak points in the hopes that she'd be able to pin you the same way the assassin has so many times.
Wanda was wearing a red sport bra and bike shorts set, hair thrown back into a tight ponytail, and her hands were strategically adorned with stackable rings.
*Get it together Y/L/N! Be professional, don't let her distract you, you're here to help her...*
Wanda covers her giggles with a cough before she meets you in the middle of the gym. Pulling you into a lingering hug she successfully cuts your internal ramblings off. A brief moment passes before you had reciprocated the hug after your initial shock wore off.
"Ready to have your ass kicked?" You jest while wrapping your hands, and she playfully scoffs before clapping her hands together.
"Bring it." She challenges and gets into her fighting stance.
As much as she enjoyed being beneath you, her goal was to take you down, and after twenty minutes of losing she'd grown worried she wouldn't succeed. Currently you had her in a loose chokehold from behind, and she took this position and used it to her advantage by pushing her ass back against your front.
*Fucking hell...*
Your hold on her loosened even further, so she reached up to pull your arm from around her throat, spinning out then taking the same arm to pull you towards her. Curiosity got the best of you so you allowed her leg to hook behind your own and with her hold on you the both of you went tumbling down. Her squeals of accomplishment warmed your heart, but you couldn't prevent your petty thoughts.
*Cute, she thought she actually took me down..*
Her gaze quickly hardened, utterly confusing you, but then her hand was around your throat, and you fought with all your might to suppress the moan trapped within.
*This is the opposite of combat training… Focus! What the fuck is happening?! You’re supposed to be helping her, not being turned on by the way she’s wrapped her fingers around your throat.*
The cold rings against your heated skin was nice, and the way they painfully dug into your skin was actually a welcomed feat. Wanda’s face remains rather neutral, but her heart skips a beat as she realizes she had you right where she wanted you. The urge to kiss you was strong, but before she let herself become consumed with desire, you’d used her obvious distraction to flip her.
“Much better.” You rasp out after finally removing her hand from your throat, then you stand to your feet and help her up a bit aggressively, unintentionally causing your faces to be mere inches apart.
“Think it’s time we call it a day, I’ll see you at dinner Wanda.” You quickly retort, pulling away from her and rushing off to your room a flustered mess.
Wanda groans, not really fairing much better as she grabs her gym bag and rushes off to her room to sort herself out.
A proud smile consumes her face at the sight of her hard work coming together, taking quick note of the time she swiftly sprays some of her Chanel— Jersey Eau de Parfum—onto her wrists and then her neck before swiftly exiting her room. Normally she picks you up for the parties, but seeing as how she's already fifteen minutes late she confirms with Friday that you'd already made it.
Nerves wracked your body as you stood there at the bar, purposefully keeping yourself focused on Nat making drinks to keep your hopeful stare off of the staircase.
"Hey there beautiful angel, long time no see." Carol husks from your side, and as beautiful as she is, it just doesn't hold an affect on you when your heart belongs to another.
Nat's hardened eyes fix on the blonde, but before she could work to shoo her away she notices the Sokovian enter the room. Taking her angered stare as a good enough reason to move to the other end of the bar to observe the overdue "fruits of her labor" come to life.
Wanda watched from the stairs as Carol's arm slipped around your shoulders, clearly unable to see your bored face her eyes instantly turned a deep shade of red. She had to tightly close her eyes and try to shake the forming mists from her hand. You weren't hers—well not yet that is, but all that's changing tonight, she’ll see to it.
*This is so fucking awkward... I wish Wanda was here, and that it was her attention I had on me.*
The sound of your thoughts had been enough to quell the woman's anger, and within a few quick strides she's stood behind you.
"Danvers." She greets with a bite in her tone, and a fury behind her eyes that you can't see with your back to her.
Carol's once beaming smile faded into a frown, she'd selfishly been hoping for just one night of bliss with you, but in the end she knew it was a long shot. Her arm carefully withdrew from your shoulder and you shifted to face the Sokovian. Bright smile now plastered across your face, a stark contrast to the bored expression from moment's ago, and Wanda's scowl soon faded at the sight of your pure expression.
"Wanda!! You finally made it. I'd been headed to your room earlier when Natasha forced me to come here without you."
Wanda smiles at your adorable ramblings, then it persists smugly as Carol says nothing as she slips away at the loss of your attention.
"Care to dance?" Wanda interrupts your nervous form, extending her hand to you, then using her other to steal your drink to down it.
"I'd love to." You shyly confirm, and she drags you to the floor with a dizzy mind.
*Ahhhh!!!! That suit is everything, and God does she smell good.*
She smirks over your shoulder at Natasha with her thumb up, then she focuses in on the comfort that having you close brings her.
*Was she jealous?*
Wanda nearly scoffs at your thought, even if it's true, she refuses to acknowledge it as such. Why would she be jealous of Captain Marvel when she's the one with you in her arms.
*No, stop reading into things, she's your friend! Don't ruin things, Natasha is probably wrong.*
She grips your hips tighter as she hears the word 'friend,' and a frown forms at your obvious insecurity. Even with all the back and forth she thought her want for you had been obvious enough.
*You got to get out of this before you fall deeper into her intoxicating hold.*
Her hands move quickly to keep you firmly against her. One settles on your lower back to keep you flush against her, the other lands on the back of your exposed neck, causing a shiver to run down your spine at the feel of the cold metal rings.
*Not the rings again...*
You feel her smiling against your cheek, it's honestly all so confusing for you, and Wanda's just reveling in the replaying memory of that once glorious sparring match.
"Y/N/N, your thoughts are normally loud, but God these ones are on a whole other level."
Your breath hitches as the realization hits your inebriated brain that she's been hearing you all this time. No matter the obvious knowledge of her powers, you'd somehow just omitted the knowledge whenever you were around her. Having trusted that you were at least safe in your mind, but now it seems you never were. Panic settles deep within your chest, so you go to push away from her in shame but she simply doesn't allow it.
"Sweetheart, it's clear to me that you're a bit confused, but let me assure you that the feelings are mutual."
*This is a joke, no way has she heard your thoughts, and been anything other than repulsed, fucking idiot.*
Wanda sighs at your aggressive thoughts of self doubt, realizing that you'll need further convincing as her words clearly fail her so she keeps firm in her hold of you, but lightly pulls your head back by the grip on your neck. Eyes of adoration meet your insecure pair full of despair, and she smiles at you before firmly pressing her lips to your own.
*This can't be happening.. Wanda Maximoff is kissing me! Holy shit, she's kissing me!*
"Yeah, I am, and it would be kind of nice if you fell in line." She chuckles against your lips, then an embarrassed groan falls from your lips, but before she could pull away you eagerly move your lips against hers.
Natasha’s face lit up like a Christmas tree when she saw her dreams coming true, pulling her phone out within an instant to book the hotel for the following weekend.
“Darling, what’s got you so happy? The last time you smiled like that was when I let you take in that pregnant stray.”
“You mean my pride and joy Liho, who birthed our beautiful little loafs ‘Pumpernickel’ and ‘Rye’ ? Don’t speak so dismissively about our babies, and more so, don’t get it twisted—you didn’t let me do anything.”
“My love, I’m sorry—I wasn’t looking for a fight here, I was just curious about what’s brought upon this smile.”
“Sorry, but you know how I get when it comes to the babies… I don’t want to fight either, because this here is a monumental moment.”
Maria shifts to follow her wife’s gaze, smile instantly forming as she takes in the sight of Wanda and your lip locking taking place.
“Oh baby congratulations, all your meddling has finally paid off I see.”
“I wish it was all me, because I’ve worked so freaking hard, and those two are insufferable. Danvers planning to make a move tonight was what finally forced Wanda to make her move, and for all my hard work we’re now going out on a double date retreat next weekend.”
“Sneaky… Efficient sure, but sneaky nonetheless.” Maria teases, then places a gentle kiss to her wife’s lips, and finds herself surprisingly excited for the upcoming trip.
*This is everything I’d ever imagined it to be and more, kissing the love of your life really is as magical as they say it is.*
Wanda breaks the kiss as she gasps against your lips, causing you to realize she’d heard your inner most feelings for what you can only presume to be the millionth time.
“I—I’m sor-.”
“Please don’t apologize detka..” She sighs, then grabs your hand to pull you over towards the empty couches to allow you both some ‘privacy’, then before you could sit beside her she pulls you into her lap and wraps her arms around your waist as you sit on her sideways.
“Loving someone isn’t something you should have to be sorry for Y/N/N. I know for sure that I’m not sorry for loving you; honestly, pretending like this isn’t all that I’ve wanted for the last year has actually been the greatest hardship of my adult life.”
“Wands, we’ve literally fought aliens together.” You deadpan, and she giggles at your sudden seriousness.
“Pft, that was the easy stuff.”
“Why did you? Pretend I mean, you’ve clearly known for awhile how interested in you I was, this has all been so confusing and I just don’t understand the waiting part.”
“Honestly, it sounds bad but it was just kinda fun at first—your sweet thoughts, mixed with your far more dizzying ones, and your obvious stares all worked to keep my ego mighty big. Knowing just how I could fluster you was fun, but being able to surprise you was even better since I could decide when and how to do it. Whether it had been impractically wearing my rings to spar with you, or just knowing exactly what to make for dinner that night.”
“Now that’s just not fair.” You playfully groan, causing a beautiful laugh to erupt from her chest before she’s tightening her hold on you and continuing her explanation.
“I think it felt like it was just one big flirting game at first, not to say your feelings are a joke detka, but I think it’s safe to say that in the start feelings weren’t really involved for us. Your thoughts were never objectifying in any way, but they were very focused on the physical, and I definitely loved it, the whole having your eyes on me part was exhilarating. Over time though, they became much deeper, focused on who I was beyond the physical, and your eyes kept contact with mine longer when we spoke, and I think I loved that even more.”
You watch her as she speaks, a playful look in her eyes as she explains her reasoning, but somewhere along the way it settles into one full of hope and adoration, nose adorably crinkling as she seemingly finishes off her thoughts. Taking in a much needed deep breath, she then moves her right hand up to cup your face and her thumb traces over your cheek before she pulls you in for a quick kiss.
“Eventually, as I got to know you I found myself falling hard, I mean how could I not? My intentions were suddenly less focused on the ego boosting, and more so on how to keep your pure attention. Mostly though, I was kind of scared Y/N/N, because even with the access to your loud thoughts I still feared rejection, and my heart just couldn’t handle that. I also didn’t feel deserving of your love.”
“I completely understand all of that Wands, because love is indeed scary, but Wanda, my dearest one, I couldn’t think of anyone more deserving of happiness, and there’s no one in the world I’d want to give my heart to.”
“Then I heard through the grapevine that Danvers had intended to make a move on you tonight, and I wasn’t about to let her just take what was mine, because detka, you are mine.”
“Was your grapevine named Natasha Romanoff by chance?”
She nods with a nervous smile, and you look up to see your best friend already staring at the two of you with an accomplished smile upon her face, and you promptly flipped her off, but then followed it up with an appreciative smile. Wanda watches in amusement as Natasha narrows her eyes in your direction, then she turns back to you once she sees Maria steps in to drag Natasha elsewhere.
“So, I’m yours huh? Does that also mean that you’re mine then?”
“Wholeheartedly so…”
A deep fluttering erupts from within your stomach at the sincerity in her tone, and you restrain yourself from crying on the spot at the overwhelming joy enveloping your heart. Unable to contain your excitement for much longer, you moved to straddle her lap, and surged forward to capture her lips with yours in a bruising kiss.
“Good, because you’re my safety net Wands, and I’m wholeheartedly yours as well…” You assure her in a fit of pants as you pull back.
“God, I love you Y/N.” She lightly sobs.
“I love you too Wanda…” You whisper against her lips before embracing her tightly within your arms, nuzzling into her neck and sighing at the comforting scent of your newfound lover.
