More Western!hellcheer thoughts because my boyfriend read yesterday's post and said to me "he would not be a fucking deputy!"

Just like in season 4, Eddie gets framed for a crime committed by Henry Creel. Maybe Creel's on a spree robbing wealthy families and Eddie was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Now Eddie's an outlaw and he's doing the one thing he's always been good at: running.

He finds himself in Hawkins, a small town full of eccentric characters. There's Sheriff Jim Hopper and his lady friend Joyce Byers, who works at Melvald's General Store. There's Joyce's kids and all of their friends. Murray Bauman, the town's doctor. The Carver family, whose son Jason is set to follow in his father's footsteps as the town's pastor.

And then there's the Cunninghams. Phil Cunningham owns the town's only hotel, where Eddie finds himself staying. The Cunningham family, because of their wealth and influence, have most of the town in their pocket.

While in Hawkins, Eddie meets Chrissy. She's whip smart and cute as a button, and he's head over heels. They hang out and he gets to know her friends, but as Eddie has come to learn, all good things must come to an end.

Eventually, word travels to Hawkins about Eddie being wanted. The town freaks out, and the Cunninghams think they're his next target, when they're actually Creel's.

In the frenzy of everyone hunting Eddie down and trying to hang him for his crimes (maybe Sheriff Hopper is out of town on business and not there to stop them).

Somehow they prove his innocence and save his life and catch Creel yada yada yada. Maybe it's Chrissy that does it, saying "He can't have done it because he was with me!" and effectively shocking everyone because Chrissy sneaking around with an out-of-towner? Or even worse, sneaking around with this out-of-towner?

Idk I'm picturing lots of sneaking, lots of horses, lots of action, all the staples of your typical western.

I’ve never understood the stereotype of teens going to the mall every weekend or people making such a big deal out of shopping for clothes. Not only do places like that overwhelm me, but I also still own and wear shirts I had in middle school. Why buy a new t-shirt when I have this one blue V-neck from eighth grade that still fits me just fine?

What I’ve recently realised about Our Flag Means Death, is that because the show is SO good, I don’t feel the need to drown myself in fan fiction. And don’t get me wrong, I do read it on occasion, but I’m not hankering for it. I don’t feel the need to fill a void because it’s almost like I’m content enough with what I have, and then every so often I get the thought: ‘oh, this would be a cool encounter that someone has already written. They’ll probably make that scene in a future season…’

I would absolutely give my bird hands if I could btw. She's so smart and very clearly occasionally frustrated when she observes me doing things she can't imitate with her feet because she also needs them to stand on.

I also just think parrots in general if given arms and hands in addition to wings would be a truly unstoppable force of chaos and it would be very funny. They're already very smart tool using animals able to open locks.

I just want to see what they'd do with hands.

Which, like, okay, admittedly, she KIND OF did, by giving Stiles the amphetamines and telling him what the marks meant and giving him, like, SOMEWHAT of a head start as far as fighting the Nogitsune on his own.

But the whole threatening to kill him thing isn't exactly what I would call helping.

But WHATEVER I GUESS.

Oh, and I take back what I said about Oliver. I am now completely suspicious of him. Dude literally just popped up out of nowhere, magically, when Stiles was trying to investigate the basement, and he encouraged him to try to trick Brunski into giving up the keys, and now I feel like he's some sort of plant or something that's gonna wind up getting Stiles in trouble, because that's a thing that happens, and now I don't trust it. So never mind. I don't want them to be friends. WHERE'S SCOTT?! XD

Also, my heart definitely just broke a little bit at that Derek and Chris conversation. Like, first of all, Chris fully acknowledging that he would feel remorse if he had to kill Stiles is so sweet and so heart-breaking, but then him switching to the fact that he would have no remorse if all he was killing was the Nogitsune is terrifying and now I'm very afraid for my boy.

Also also, the way Derek is talking makes me think he is also more inclined to kill the Nogitsune, even if it means killing Stiles, and I DON'T LIKE THAT, so STOP IT!

I mean, I stand by the fact that I'm 99.9% sure that no one's gonna be able to touch Stiles because True Alpha Scott would never allow it, but still, it's a frightening thought, and I don't like how many people are getting prepared to kill him, no matter the cost. :(

#oughhhhhhh #this is about the dca fandom but also about every other strong fixation ive had over the years lol #i know it's normal and inevitable esp for less popular works or minor characters with little canon content #and there's nothing wrong with smaller communities of course those rock #but there’s just something special about getting into something at the same time as a lot of other people all at once #and existing in this chaotic fandom space that's just bursting with creativity and passion #i've been in fandom spaces for as long as some of you have been alive and i've only come across that sort of unbridled joy like #a handful of times at best #it's just a heartbreaking feeling to see real lightning in a jar fandoms like that wither away as people drift away #(understandably so!) #anyway don't mind me i'm just having thoughts #musing about fandoms past as well #that i too eventually moved on from but remember fondly even if im not active in anymore #also my music just aint hitting right so im just sitting in silence which makes me more Contemplative(tm)
