I've been playing the Beyond the Spider Lilies demo recently, and I'm just sobbing when I discovered the options for the MC to hug Aris.

This just cements my decision to make my MC Seleni the most cuddly and affectionat daddy's girl. Just the mental image of a Stoic and intimidating man like Aris just bending down so it's easier for his daughter to hug him, or Seleni automatically greeting or parting ways with her Papa with a hug and a kiss on the cheek.

Aha, yeah, the hug option is hidden, and dependant on the path and choices you take, as well as a few others. ^^

Aris does a lot to accomadate for MC, as they are his most prized treasure of all of Vanthelia.
