Shin turns away from her, a wall rising up between them as she moves onto her back.

Sabine dares to reach out for her, to lay her hand against the course fabric of her arm.

She doesn't jerk from the touch - but she doesn't respond to it either.

"I get it now."

Why you have so much rage in you.

Why that rage calls to me.

They both stood on the edges of their world and watched it burn. They both played a part in that burning. Though Sabine, at least, was able to take solace in being part of a cause that had done her no wrong. A side that acknowledged the harm committed against her people.

There's no such solace for Shin.

Sabine nearly jumps at the feeling of tentative fingers, nudging against the tips of her own. Holding her breath, she doesn't dare to move as Shin slides their fingers together, interlocking over the planes of her upper arm.

"I hate them." It's a whisper and again Sabine can't be certain who it is exactly that she's referring to but it really doesn't matter.

All that matters is the wound in Shin's voice, the way her hand trembles with rage in her hold.

She knows that rage. She's felt it too. Feels it. It's the rage that comes in the wake of losing everything. Standing in the ashes of injustice, knowing there's nothing, nothing that can ever make it right. Return what's been stolen.

Sabine closes the space between them, resting her forehead against Shin's. "I know."

Thankyou ❤️❤️❤️ I haven't really found my own style yet as I'm still just starting out but I love Lisa's work and her tutorials and brushes are really fun to play around with.
