70 days of productivity: 22-29

1st week of 2023! Finally getting to the rest of the basic principles, finishing up GIT questions and hanging around uni between clinical rotations (featuring the hand knitted cardigan mom made. 👀)

My friends finally got a hold of me to gave me new year presents and omg aren’t they so cute?!!

Taking the year slowly and hoping for the best

a couple of Pusher studies. the top one was done on a plane in a little under an hour. I've found that doing these sorts of studies during flight is actually great because you don't get distracted by, say, checking tumblr, it helps pass the time and calm down if you're nervous, and you don't get lost in the details/portrait likeness, you only focus on the big picture (color combinations, shapes, light and shadow contract etc)

✨ Apparently, this is what happens when I go “I’m GonNa TrY a QuIck FaCiAl StUdY oF cRoWlEy”…..the process of this was a progression from an attempt at a more cartoon style, to “what the whole entire f*ck is happening right now”, to “WELP, I guess it’s a WHOLE-ASS PORTRAIT NOW” 😆🤦🏻‍♀️.

✨ Good news is that it took less than the absolute eons that the *first* Crowley portrait did. This bad boy is digital, one layer, one brush.
