Jack decides he needs a bit of time away from family to mourn the loss of his one sided friendship with Vlad and Vlad's death. So he takes a trip to Gotham. On this trip, he runs into Damian and Tim, who are convinced he's Captain Marvel in disguise.

Meanwhile, Jason's also run into Jack as he's coming into his ghost powers. Jason starts freaking out because someone just saw him when his new powers started glitching. Panicking only worsens the situation as now he can't figure out how to get his foot un-caught in the cement.

Jack, despite not knowing if this kid is a halfa or not, decides to give him advice based on how Danny told him his powers work. It works.

Now, Jason has a sort-of mentor that he didn't ask for but definitely needs, and Jack has something to do while he sorts out his feelings on the whole Vlad-was-never-his-friend thing.

Eventually, Damian and Tim catch them while Jack is trying to explain how Jason might have a second form. While Jack explains, Jason just transforms. His ghost form isn't what either expected. Jack was expecting something similar to Danny's or Vlad's. Not a winged little kid with a mask.

To be honest, this just solidifies that this guy is Captain Marvel for Damian and Tim. Obviously he decided to teach Jason magic.

I'm trying to analyze my own feelings about the new Spiderverse. Despite the fact that it left myself and the others I saw it with completely unsatisfied, it was an absolute masterclass in the art of creating a complex and empathetic story. It was meant to leave the viewers unsatisfied.

Throughout the first and the second Spiderverse, the audience's perspective is largely tied to Miles, with a bit of Gwen's in the second. Rather than the audience get a story we like while leaving it open for the third installment, we got put through the same experience as Miles.

He can't figure out his spider powers? His are so different that we can't understand them. He finds the confidence to take down Kingpin? We fly with him. He gets isolated from the rest of the spiderverse? So do we. He's trapped with an evil version of himself? That's where the film ends for us.

Our feelings from the movie are supposed to pair with what he's feeling. We are living the same experience as Miles. And it's in service of the larger theme, the thread connecting the trilogy together.

Anyone can wear the mask. You can wear the mask.

The third Spiderverse is going to be a fucking phenomenal film. Better than both of the first two.

Rogue/Magneto was something Marvel really seemed prepared to go all in on back in the day. It looked like something Claremont was toying with before he left, and might've got more focus if he'd stayed, but once he was gone and Jim Lee took full control the focus quickly shifted to Rogue/Gambit.

Age of Apocalypse then gave it new life, giving us a Magneto and Rogue who were happily married and with a son. The massive success of that arc no doubt encouraged the writers to keep the Rogue/Magneto dance going, which is how we ended up with Joseph, a character originally introduced as an amnesiac, younger looking Magneto. Very quickly he was pulled into a love triangle with Rogue and Gambit, only for the writers to then reveal he was a clone of Magneto and then died.

I'm fairly sure that was never the original plan, I believe Joseph was meant to be the real Magneto, but the editor insisted Magneto be a villain rather than a redeemed hero and that was the best idea the writers came up with. By that point, though, Rogue/Gambit had become more popular thanks to X-Men: The Animated Series, and Rogue/Magneto soon faded away accept in an Age of Apocalypse revisits.

i think the reason why we never got the Hela, Thor & Loki Trio is because they would have been unstoppable. They would've defeated Thanos in seconds & Marvel could not make it happen since they want to tell a lot of storys to make money.

-currently i have read 49 books this year tho quite a few of those were novellas . but some of them were like 800 pages so. balances!

-best books tied between: in memoriam / alice winn - the cloud roads / martha wells and fools errand / robin hobb -worst books: in the lives of puppets / tj klune (i fucking HATE tj klunes writing. and i also hate purposely written '''cosy'' fiction and forced found family stuff. why do i keep reading his books) and the cruel prince / holly black (girl none of these characters are likeable)

rn i am reading fools quest by robin hobb which is .....okay......ngl im not liking the fitz and the fool trilogy much rn i rlly didnt like fools assassin which honestly shouldve just been 'fitz makes questionable parenting decisions and struggles to run a household'. im not like getting the vibes. i might pause reading it or read smth else as well along side im undecided
