alright y’all, i watched captain america and the winter soldier the other day while on a plane so i’m officially back on my marvel bullshit 🤭

i’m looking to find someone to write as james buchanan barnes/bucky barnes against my female oc. i’m open to discussing doubles and writing as a character of your choosing as well 👍🏼

for a little backstory, my oc is a mutant that was experimented on and trained by hydra. think… red room and hydra mashup. yeah?

some other info:

i do not roleplay with minors. all writing partners must be at least 18. i’m 23 myself.

i would like to include smut but i don’t like making it the entire plot. i tend to lean towards more vanilla themes when writing smut also.

i write in third person + present tense and would like my partner to use the same style. i’m not that picky when it comes to response length and the quality of grammar, but i personally send 2 paragraphs at minimum. you don’t have to write a novel in each reply, but give me enough to work with 🫶🏼

i’m looking for a long-term partner here; whether we stick with the same plots or change it up, i don’t mind.

i roleplay exclusively on discord and in private servers. i make channels for each oc and roleplay along with other channels for us. i prefer to not use tupperbox simply because you cannot edit messages once you’ve sent them.

i love having roleplay partners that i can chat with ooc 🫶🏼 sharing headcanons, music, moodboards, stuff like that.

I have messed with the idea of an AU where the Maximoff twins were raised separately. It hinged mostly on them being the children of Erik and Magda still. Specifically, Wanda was returned to Erik by the High Evolutionary and Pietro was given to the Maximoff couple after a failed attempt to give him to the Whizzer and the original Miss America, after he had been separated from Wanda already. It works significantly better in a roleplay / non-canon way than it would in an official story, even if 'What If?' is also non-canon.

What If?s aren't, like, canon to the main continuity, but they are part of the Marvel canon in that they are literally published by Marvel. So, not to be a buzzkill, but if they do whack shit I will criticize them just as harshly as I would anything else.

I come down pretty hard an AUs and adaptations where Wanda and/or Pietro are raised by Magneto instead of the Maximoffs-- specifically, if Magda isn't around, because she almost never is. Wanda and Pietro were brought up in a traditional Romani community, and removing them from that context changes important parts of their cultural identity. I personally feel like this is a form of erasure, and I think that's especially important to be mindful of that with Wanda, because her character embodies so many different, complicated tropes about Romani women.

I get the appeal, especially in fanfiction, but it's a real problem for me when it happens in adaptations or canon continuities.
