I know, you know, that I'm not telling the truth~
Lol, I'm watching psych right now this timing is great!
*Dick witnesses a house get robbed and Bruce wants in on the case so Dick takes him to show him the house*
Bruce: All right, which one?
Dick: That one.
Bruce: Yeah? Well that’s a stupid house to rob.
Dick: Does anyone live up to your standards? Maybe we can get a hold of the burglar’s number. You can call. Tell him how disappointed you are.

Popular Batfam Beliefs That are NOT Canon
I'm gonna start by saying that if you have your opinion on these, it's totally okay! And if you want to include these ideas in fanon, that's fine too. This is only for people who wanna know more about canon, or those who may accidentally be spreading wrong information. I'm not a big comic reader, so do lmk if my research is incorrect, please.
"Tim Drake is/was the CEO of Wayne Enterprises. " This is actually incorrect, Tim Drake was never the CEO of Wayne Enterprises! I think he is a majority shareholder from what various people have told me. Lucius Fox is the CEO. Tim might play some part, I'm not sure, but not the CEO.
"Dick Grayson was a bad brother to Jason Todd." Dick may not have been the best brother as he wasn't around much, but he definitely wasn't horrible. Although he was still upset with Bruce, he actually gave Jason advice on being Robin when they stole the Batmobile together. They had their issues throughout their lives for sure. But Dick was actually really upset when Jason died because no one had told him. He wasn't even able to attend his funeral because he was in space and when he came back he had to figure it out himself.
"Tim Drake is addicted to coffee." I get where this is coming from, but there are very few references of Tim actually drinking much coffee, let alone being addicted to it haha. But, since this headcanon was so popular, it was adopted in the Wayne Family Adventures webtoon comic. I do think he is a workaholic, maybe a little like Bruce, but I'm not sure since I don't read about him much and he's pretty excluded in movies/shows.
Nicknames. Specifically "replacement". Jason actually NEVER called Tim replacement. He did call him pretender, but replacement is used so commonly that people think it's canon. I guess I can see where it's coming from. Other nicknames that are popularly used by fans may be canon but aren't used that often. "Little Wing" was used by Dick to Jason in Nightwing: Year One when Jason was Robin. I don't think it's been used again, but it is super cute. "Jaybird" is not something Dick or Bruce call Jason, it's only used by Roy Harper, seriously sometimes people forget he exists. There are many other nicknames like these ofc but there are way better posts to explain these (I may have reblogged one, so check it out).
5. Some Dick Grayson info that isn't canon but is popularly used in fanon and is pretty cute: Zitka. The elephant Zitka is definitely canon, and actually, I looked it up and there are some adorable panels on these two omg. So yes, he had an elephant named Zitka in the circus who he cared for a lot, but no he does not have an elephant stuffed toy no matter how cute that may be. He is also not addicted to cereal just as Tim isn't addicted to coffee, but a fellow commenter informed me it is his favorite food! One thing I've noticed though is if fans see something in one panel, they make it a huge deal lol. Another popular one is that Dick and Bruce fought a lot in front of Jason. They didn't. They definitely avoided each other and were going through a rough patch but they seldom yelled at each other in front of Jason. So yeah, idk what's up with that.
DAMN. You made it to the end, congratulations, and good job because you have a lot of patience. That's all for now, my fingers are cramping :( . Feel free to ask some questions below, or correct me if I'm wrong! Thanks for reading!

TWST’s Magic Mirror
Wait a minute. I was lowkey having a mental breakdown (cater vibes) until I realized something about the Dark Mirror- or specifically what Crowley said about magestones that may change what we know about the Dark Mirror.
Tumblr media
The magestone is the figurative heart of ANY magical artifact…Crowley says this in the prologue as response to the broken chandelier. Hm? ANY magical artifact? Including the Dark Mirror?
And suddenly, it clicked.
See, I’ve had these photos saved for a while, because I knew something was wrong with the Magic Mirror and Dark Mirror. They didn’t look alike, despite having similar powers and appearance. And for now, I’m still assuming that the Dark Mirror IS the Magic Mirror, just a little twisted. After all, I feel like if it was a replica, it would’ve been mentioned at least once.
About a month ago, I took the time to read through all the chats, and what Rook and Vil claim about the Magic Mirror confused me even more
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hm?? They mention in the chats AND in Book 5 TWICE about “IF the Magic mirror still existed.” The mirror is clearly respected, and Pomefiore knows a lot of lore about the Evil Queen, like her apple trees, the well, the robes.
And yet could they not realize that the Magic Mirror is literally the Dark Mirror…unless it’s been tampered with that no one recognizes it as THE original?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
See, what clicked to me is the missing red gems from the Dark Mirror. I knew these were missing, but I never realized what this meant until today. Those gems must have been the Dark Mirror’s MAGESTONES, Aka it’s figurative heart. Look at the Dark Mirror and at the sides where the gemstones would be: there’s clearly an empty socket/space. As if…someone stolen the mirrors “heart”. It’s why the frame of the Dark Mirror looks so faded- the magic was seeped away from the entire artifact.
Tumblr media
And since magical artifacts have magestones, could let “Overblot” too? The idea of an object Overblotting sounds silly, but the Dark Mirror isn’t just any artifact. The Magic mirror from Snow White canon has a spirit inside (or multiple if you like my “Meleanor is trapped in the mirror” theories haha). And from a 1950s brochure on Snow White, it specified that the spirit used to be the Evil Queen’s familiar demon.
So if it has a soul, it can Overblot too, yes?
And as we know from the Spectral Soirée, the Dark Mirror specifically can be manipulated to do some incredibly powerful magic- even host another world inside. Perhaps someone (cough Crowley) forced the magic mirror to do something impossibly powerful? Like permanently another soul (Meleanor)? Or perhaps create a “mirror” world inside it, like Twisted Wonderland?? Or does the Magic Mirror’s gems have a hidden power to them?
Speculation aside, I found even more odd was in an interview with the TWST voice actors, they all showed up in person- except for Malleus’ VA who “wasn’t invited.” And interestingly enough, they used the MAGIC Mirror for Malleus to speak though. See how it’s golden and it has those three red gems? Why would TWST bother with remaking the Hall of Mirrors background just for an interview?
Tumblr media
But then I had ANOTHER realization. In the first Anniversary TWST animation, it opened up with Grim walking through a mysterious hallway, which I’ve talked about before. That theory is a bit wishywashy haha, but the point is, the camera focuses on a frame of…the MAGIC mirror. Although it’s barely visible, you can see the golden details and the red gem at the bottom.
Tumblr media
The TWST creators didn’t have to remake the Hall of Mirrors background for the voice actor interview at all. They already have this image prepared in their files- with a clear distinction between the Magic Mirror and the Dark Mirror.
…This was a huge rabbit hole haha ∑(゚Д゚) But there’s something to unlock from this case, I just know it!!!

okay, but I loved this episode so much!
The way that they were in the tunnel of love and Percy was saying maybe his mom didn't prepare him- and the light behind him darkens/lessens. And then when Annabeth said she did the light was just as bright, if not brighter, than before he said that.
The way that Ares made some comment about family pushing each other down stairs, but because of fighting and selfishness. Meanwhile, half-bloods are pushing each other down stairs to save each other, to do what needs to be done. A perfect representation of how the half-bloods are being taught to be like the gods, but their still different in a way that the gods will never understand, because of the half-bloods' human nature that they've still maintained even if the gods have forgotten.
The fact that Aphrodite was exchanged for Hera and Percy sat down for Annabeth. The difference being, Annabeth DIDN'T give up and cave to Hephaestus. She wouldn't leave him behind, because that's not what REAL family does. But Hera was willing to leave Aphrodite to Hephaestus without question.
And another thing that I doubt was intentional: while the lack of robot spiders made me slightly sad, the very little fighting they've done is another amazing parallel to the gods. The half-bloods are being taught and trained to fight, but their still kids and half human. They don't get to much fighting, but the gods do! All the time!
I mean, they practically told us the difference! Ares and Grover talked about how nobody remembers the quick, less bloody wars; they remember the big wars that last a while or kill so many people. The Greek gods don't remember the quick wars either! They fight and cause so much destruction for their own desires, and never consider the humane option. BUT Percy and Annabeth? Grover? Their all about lessening damage. "How can I make this happen fast without causing problems? (Unless it's for the gods -Percy)"
But yeah anyway I loved that episode....
Percy’s “I don’t think she’s like that” and Annabeth’s “He isn’t that way” are groundbreaking. Here are these two kids in the middle of this twisted situation of the gods just trying to survive and figure each other out yet they are willing to see the good in each other and know that they are better than the gods because of that kindness and optimism

That was amazing!!
House rule: when Tim falls asleep on you, you cannot, under any circumstances, move. It's cat rules. You can't get up to pee. You can't get yourself water or a snack or the TV remote. You're stuck until he wakes up. Good luck.

shein has taken down the selling of the israeli flag, stopped its collaborations with the country's influences and also cancelled free delivery services to the country. do you know how fucking insidious you have to be for SHEIN to cut ties with you??? SHEIN???!!!
it makes me physically ill. a Palestinian on twitter's last post was about burying their six-year-old cousin without his head. a Palestinian boy on youtube dreamt of 100k subscribers on his gaming channel. and yesterday he reached 500k, but he has been killed in the bombing of the gaza strip. the class of 2023-24 in Palestine has ended early because there is no student left alive. literal children who were the teachers, artists, doctors, scientists, scholars, writers, engineers of tomorrow.
when is it enough? statistics released by Palestinian officials about the numbers of martyred isn't enough. photographs and videos of fathers scurrying to piece together their children by gathering their body parts isn't enough. presscons surrounded by dead bodies beside a bombed hospital isn't enough.
yet, somehow, the narrative they are pushing is conflict between two faiths. it is absolutely not. this is no religious conflict. this is colonization, occupation, genocide. it's systematic oppression of Palestine and its people.
the word peace has never angered me as much as it has now. and it should anger you too. there can be no peace under violent oppression. there can be no peace after 75 years of ethnic cleansing. there can be no peace in occupied Palestine.
peace is the product of white supremacy, they prod and kill anyone other than them but when retaliation occurs, it is suddenly rabid savages, unjust savages...

Marvelous Miracles (Please Disregard the Ghosts)
Note: bold and italic means that it is said in french.
First, Prev,
'In. Out.' Marinette thinks to herself as she clambers out of the van.
"Here you go, Miss Marinette." She feels her nose crinkle in displeasure as she turns to accept her suitcase.
"Just Marinette, please." She feels her eyebrows furrow as Alfred chuckles quietly. Bewilderment spreads through her as he just keeps walking up the steps. Realizing she's being left behind, she rushes forward. She's just in time for him to reach the door. She turns to him to repeat herself when she hears a crash.
Spinning around to face the oak door, she finally takes in the sight around her. A vast, stone building looms infront of her. The manor's windows are small, but plentiful and built with stone mullions. The manor is clearly old with all the chips she could see in the stone. Gray skies threaten rain and pale vines blanket the walls.
'Goth and elegant, just like Juleka.' As soon as the thought forms, a rush of inspiration and aching loneliness fills her. Pushing aside both, she pulls out her phone to take a picture.
Her thumb hovers over the button as the feeling of being watched overcomes her again. Her grip tightens. She finally understands how people can feel like they're suffocating even when they're outside. The overwhelming sense of walls closing in, inch by inch. A pressure presses against her neck and cuts off her air flow.
Another abrupt crash brings her back to reality. She takes in a large, greedy breath. Feeling the air fill her lungs grounds her slightly. She opens her eyes, and shudders when everything appears to be tinted green.
"Miss Marinette, are you alright?" She turns towards the voice hesitantly. Meeting Alfred's eyes, she goes to answer when the front door slams open. A young man rushes out, his black hair being the only distinguishable thing as he runs through.
"I'm going to kill you Drake!" Another blur yells. The limited sunlight glints off the sheen of metal. The second blur tackles the first and their both sent tumbling down the remaining steps.
"I do hope you both decided to wash your own clothes, since you've clearly decided to ruin them." Alfred cuts in. The blurs freeze before scrambling apart. There before her stands two boys.
One appears to be nineteen, with incredibly pale skin and calculating blue eyes. The other boy has forest green eyes and looks to be about twelve. She watches as the older boy takes a knife out of the other boy's hands and throws it to the side. Why does he have a knife? The boys stand straight and tall. The youngest's face scrunches into a scowl.
"Really, another one?" The boys say in sync. Seeing that the boys were close to murdering each other, Alfred steps in.
"Master Tim, Master Damian, if you would please refrain from attempted murder infront of our guest, that would be wonderful."
"So successful murder is still on the table, then?" The shorter boy says dryly. Marinette watches in awe as Alfred raises his eyebrow and the boys reluctantly shuffle inside. Following them into the foyer of the mansion, Marinette eyes everything around her with bug eyes. Alfred clears his throat, staring at the boys pointedly.
"Oh, right, I'm Tim and you are?" The older boy greets. Taking a closer look, Marinette sees that eyebags as dark as an abyss weigh down his eyes.
"Uh, Marinette, Marinette Dupain-Cheng." He nods solemnly.
"Cool. Bye." She flounders as he walks off. She hears Alfred sigh behind her.
"I guess that means you're Da-" She stops as she realizes that Damian is no longer with them. "What in camembert cheese is happening?"
She ignores Alfred's quiet "pardon?" and turns to a man descending the stairs. His black hair falls into a careless look, but his dark blue eyes are full of careful consideration. He appears very relaxed, which should've been her first clue that things were only going to get worse.
"Hello! I'm Dick! You must be Marinette."
"I- yeah?...Isn't that a cuss word?" She mumbles.
"It's an old nickname for Richard." He replies breezily. Marinette nods her head.
"Yeeeaaahhh, Alfred may you please take me to my room now? Or back to Paris, atleast I'm used to the crazy there."
Alfred smiles at her warmly and Dick laughs. Heat blooms across her face. She crosses her arms as she tries not to throw her arms up in exasperation.
"Tired of us already? And here I was, hoping you'd enjoy your stay here." A man in a suit says from her left. Another person with black hair and blue eyes She feels her eyes widen as she realizes who he is.
"Th- that's not what I m- meant Mr. Wayne! I'm really grateful for you helping me out and-" Bruce Wayne smiles and cuts off her rambling with a wave.
"I'm just joking, Ms. Dupain-Cheng."
The next hour is a blur for Marinette as she goes through a brief tour and Bruce lists off the ground rules. When she finally gets to her very large guest room, her mind is whirling. Her phone lights up as a shrill ringing fills the room. She reaches for the phone and answers it absent-mindedly.
"Hey Nathaniel..."

So many lore thoughts aaahhhh
The sheer potential of a DC × MARVEL × DP × MLB crossover makes me giddy. Their lore individually is so much fun to play with, but together? Vibrating in place at the thought.
For example, the Lazarus Pits.
Quick explanation of Ra's al Ghul in DC (from what I remember so take it with a grain of salt): being interested in science, he becomes a healer. He is ordered to heal the Sultan's son. He finds the Lazarus Pits and heals the Sultan's son, but his wife (Sora) is killed anyways. He overthrows the sultan and becomes the demon head, using the Lazarus Pits as he pleases.
Now, in most DC × MLB crossovers the Lazarus Pits form because of a wish.
In most DC × DP crossovers, the Lazarus Pits are just contaminated ectoplasm.
But hear me out.... its so much fun as both.
Ra's al Ghul is getting desperate, there isn't a science formula he can find that will heal the prince. Noticing his determination, a young monk who was victim to bandits lends him a magic jewel, the ox miraculous. As long as he helps the monk with his thief problem, he can use the ox miraculous during his more dangerous experiments. Al Ghul is running out of time when he finally finds the last two jewels, in two different very hard to get to places. He finally gets the jewels back for the monk, but the monk wants the ox back too. He isnt having it, using the jewels, Ra's al Ghul makes a wish. A wish for a substance that heals almost anything.
Slight problem, the substance bursts from a hole punched through the literal earth and does not belong on the surface. The wish demands balance, every time the Pits are used, it draws ectoplasm from the Ghost Zone. Sora still dies and Ra's al Ghul still overthrows the Sultan, but now the "Demon's Head" holds more weight as he literally had horns like a demon when transformed, oh yeah and the crack? It grows. Lazarus Pits pop up everywhere and the more the used, the sicker the Ghost Zone and its inhabitants get.
I got another one for you: Atlantis, this one makes me internally squeal a little.
Marvel: There is alot to expand upon here, but the parts I'll focus on is that, when still above water it was a place of barbarism and constant war, and was sunk by the Deviants.
DC: Again, a lot to unpack, but with a nice side of DC-can't-make-up-it's-mind. In general, Atlantis was very advanced in both magic and tech before sinking and reasons for sinking vary a lot based on the version(?) Idk im not awake enough to do a deep dive into their lore again. Atlantis and its empire splintered into seven(?) successor kingdoms. (Not including some outliers in their multiple Earth chaos)
All MLB gives us is that Plagg (black cat miraculous) had some part in it sinking.
But how I picture it:
A crazy person was trying to take over Atlantis. He had somehow gotten his hands on the black cat miraculous and was brutal, entire villages wiped out without hesitation. He slowly builds power. It's an age of barbarism and brutality. A few clans and kingdoms of Atlantis band together and form a more advanced civilization, thats still riddled with some power struggles. Atlantis is split in two, barbarism vs advancement. At on point Plagg gets free, and in an attempt to help and maybe steal some cheese he uses cataclysm. His cataclysm disrupts the tectonic plates Atlantis sits on. Years pass with Atlantis teetering over the edge, when it all comes to head one day. The technologically advanced Atlantis was having problems with their tech that made the unstable plates worse. Meanwhile, the barbaric Atlantis was being attacked by Deviants. The crazy person from before though? Didn't care. He had been looking for the Ladybug miraculous to make a wish and had finally found it. Unfortunately for him, he died before he could make the wish. Fortunately for the rest of Atlantis, Nooroo takes pity on them and transforms all people of Atlantis into varying degrees of fish people. Some relied soley on tech that Nooroo had transformed, while other had blue skin and webbed feet. Atlantis does split into many kingdoms, but now there are two kingdoms fighting for the right to be Atlantis. Centuries of stealing from one another and fighting has made it unclear which one is technically the original, but throughout all the ocean the people of the sea curse and cower from the name of Plagg.
But yeah..... I'm to tired to continue my ramble. But the point is so much Lore Potential.

I saw this the other day and couldn’t help thinking about how the batboys first felt when they had to be the comfort/protector or how for they might’ve felt the first time children ran to them for protection.
Dick Grayson was a performer long before he was a protector. Even on his first night as Robin, he kept an eye out on the darkest streets for people in despair. Not even three hours into his first shift as Robin, comes the opportunity.
He knows how to hypnotise people, to make them forget about the world, about reality, even if it was just for a little while. And little did he know just how much he’d use it for the rest of his life.
And there’s the guy in front of him, robbing a store with a knife in one hand, tears streaming down his face. His wife is dying, and he needs the money and Dick falters. He remembers that feeling of helplessness.
But then there’s a child cowering away from him, and runs screaming towards Dick, arms outstretched with a plea. And his hesitation vanishes, before taking down the man in one fell swoop.
He then spent the time with only one goal in mind. Make the kid laugh. He cracked jokes, displayed few acrobatic endeavours and is only satisfied when the kid looks at him with joy, the fear long since burned away. It fills his chest with pride, and a warm flutter that stays with him for the next few months.
Jason never expected anything to happen. He was the new Robin, he was here only to protect, not chit-chat. He’s heard what others thought of him, and he couldn’t care any less. He did his job, made sure they were safe and unhurt, and then left.
And then one late night, finishing up on patrol he sees a glimpse of color out of the corner of his eye. There’s a young woman, hiding three figures behind her. He raises his head, and immediately sees the way they scramble away in fear. So he looks away and waits, muscles tense and ready, pretending not to notice them come closer.
He’s quite taken aback when the woman timidly asks him to walk her back home. It’s a trap. He thinks. But he sees the look on their faces, and decides it’s worth the risk. Along the way he makes a few dry sarcastic quips, and before he knows it the air is filled with laughter and chatter.
It takes a while for him to notice two kids were holding each of his hand, and the third was tugging on his cape. And the mother was smiling softly, eyes crinkling in fondness and vulnerability.
They felt safe, he realises with a start.
They felt safe with him
They trusted him.
And something in him stirs. He feels something similar to what Dick had recalled on his first encounter with children, but instead of a warm flutter it’s like his heart has forgotten its rhythm. It’s banging against his rib cage, warmth and love pouring out. He always had a bleeding heart.
When he comes back from patrol, he absentmindedly runs his fingers across the cape where they’d held it, and sees tiny wrinkles there.
He refuses to iron it, and when Tim first sees his suit, the first thing he sees are the thousands of wrinkles, dozens of smears and dried up trails of tears.
Tim, who didn’t know what the fuck he was doing.
He was good at the crime job. Children.. people? Not so much. Especially when he wasn’t trying to lecture them or take them down. He knew how to make them tick. But not how to make them talk.
Alas, when batman is stuck interviewing a father about a home invasion, Tim finds himself on kid duty.
He looks everywhere, on the ceiling, below the bed, when he finally notices a heat signature coming from behind a desk.
The kid is hugging her knees, cowering and clutching themselves as close as she could, squeeze themselves into the tiny space, and keeping heavy boxes and chairs to block any people or light from entering.
And Tim just sits there. He tries talking, engaging in conversation before realising how awkward it sounded and that he wasn’t helping. So he falls quiet.
He notices posters of marine life on the child’s bed, and after a while of silence he starts to slowly talk again. He talks about the ocean, about its inhabitants and the most peculiar creatures hidden inside. It is a while before he falters again, noticing his rant, but with a quick glance he can see that the child has slightly shifted towards him, hanging onto his every word.
And so he continues, bringing up holographic displays to show the amazing characterisers and traits they acquire. He hears the pitter patter of footsteps after a while, and then the kid pops up beside him, staring at the display. The kid was there, tense as a deer, and ready to sprint at any sudden movement, but there.
And so at the end of the night, that’s how Bruce finds Tim sitting on the floor, kid fast asleep and sprawled across his lap, using the cape as a blanket.
Tim was a grounding presence. He wasn’t there to judge, wasn’t there to speak. He was just.. there. And that mattered a lot more to children then he realises.
He remembers coming home in almost a daze, seeing the wrinkles on his cape before remembering Jason. His breath hitches, fingers running over the wrinkles, truly realising why Jason’s suit still stubbornly portrayed its wrinkles. It’s stories.
Jason was better at this. Jason cared. And tonight, he’d taken the first step towards truly honouring him. And he had no intentions of letting the second Robin’s legacy die.
Dick had described it as warmth that left you giddy. But this, this was terror.
Tim was scared.
Dick had always been an empath, Jason arguably more, and it was their legacy that he’d have to carry on. The children were counting on him. Batman was counting on him. But the most terrifying realisation was that Jason was also counting on him. And so was Dick.
So he lets the wrinkles stay on, subtly highlighting them in the cape to remind himself of his purpose, a feeling of protectiveness burdening him- not only towards the citizens, but also towards his brothers. He was NOT going to let them down.
Each of them made kids feel safe with them, in their own special ways. Because there was a broken kid in each of them too, that craved to make sure no one else was hurt the way they were.

people who are allowed in the kitchen:
alfred - can actually cook, a responsible adult, does not set things on fire
jason - chef connoisseur, actually uses cooking utensils properly, does not set things on fire
damian - helps cook every time unprompted unless told not to, has deemed the kitchen sacred and will not reach for the kitchen knives (warning: this does not mean he doesn’t have any of his personal knives on hand)
tim - doesn’t cook but will if forced/bribed to, only mildly chars things on occasion (warning: if you want tim to make you something specific have blackmail you’re willing to give up)
people who aren’t allowed in the kitchen unsupervised:
steph - can only make mac n cheese and waffles alone, has short circuited the toaster 5 times and broken the microwave door (warning: if you find purple food dye at any visible point in the kitchen tell alfred immediately)
cass - will only bake cookies and serve them as meals, does not comprehend the aspect of cooking, will make her own rules
duke - has and will miss measure something which will subsequently create a science experiment (see: the 2 tblsp of salt incident)
people who are permanently banned from the kitchen:
dick - will actively turn cooking into a science class on purpose, has and will blow up the kitchen (see: confetti cake marmalade acid incident)
bruce - cannot cook for the life of him swear to god the man lights water on fire do not let him lay a single cursed finger on any surface past the dining room
side notes:
if alfred says he is making waffles immediately get jason. does not matter how you do it, he is your only hope.
if you hear tim screaming in the kitchen don’t go check on him. everything is fine, screaming just makes him feel like he has a sense of control. he will get over it in 30 seconds.
vegetarian alternatives will always be made on damians behalf. you will less likely be threatened at knife point if you ask what he would like.
If you hear fergie or britney spears anywhere in the manor there is a 90% chance of dick being in the kitchen. get him out.

First of all I didn't really like the inclusion Socqueline Wang because it took away some of the impact Alya had on Marinette. Second of all, Socqueline is a plot device not a character (where as the class feels like characters that are regulated to plot devices, if that makes sense). Anyways, I agree with the person above me, but also (long rant ahead):
Have Adrien and Marinette talk about how similar, yet profoundly different they are. For example, both have been isolated from forming connections with people. However, Adrien's is because being homeschooled and locked away, while Marinette's is because bullying drove a wedge between her and her classmates as well as her own insecurities. Have them bond over this and decide their going to be there for each other every step of the way to learning how to be good friends, good people.
Show the conflict of Adrien's prime connection with people being his parents (and workers) who isolated him and Chloe who was kind to him vs Marinette who was mostly with her loving parents and a cruel Chloe. Have them be on different sides of the Chloe redemption, only to come together as time wears on. Only to understand as Adrien sees Sabrina act like him with his father, only there to please. Only to understand as Marinette watches the care Chloe let's slip through her walls. Cause honestly, canon let me down here. Marinette saw Adrien's side the same episode both times (even briefly) while Adrien didn't really see Marinette's until long after. Then it's never brought up except for plot. They never sat down and went "I was right, but so were you." I want that for them.
Give both Adrien and Marinette equal plot representation!! Adrien is affected by the plot and Gabriel in every way, but he doesn't get to properly affect the plot. Yet, the writers made it to where Marinette was the one to always affect the plot, but not the one affected by it (and I mean the over all plot, not just the episode plots). There should've been some form of balance! Give Adrien time to shine (without dumbing down other characters or completely taking them out of the episode in some form) and give Marinette some connection to the plot! You could have shown Adrien being the one to take charge for actual fights (Since he has experience in this area via fencing) or pointing out something Marinette wouldn't know for whatever reason, like hobbies he has but she doesn't or just an area of school she struggles with and he excels in.
Make Marinette the personal intern of Gabriel some time after Mr. Pigeon! This wouldn't be the same level of emotional destruction as Adrien's when the reveal happens, but it'd still be devastating. Show the loss of one mentor and the betrayal of another. Additionally, all those episodes that are about Marinette's jealousy? Parallel them with Adrien's jealousy that his friend sees his father more than him. Show me that they can work out as a couple (maybe not for eternity, but atleast for a couple weeks) without the world ending, because they can overcome that stomach-churning feeling for each other. They overcome their jealousy because it's causing them to hurt their crush or very good friend, so who else are they hurting?
Show us Gabriel and Natalie paralleling Adrien and Marinette because they would do anything for each other, until something changes and Adrien and Marinette are setting boundaries- and their stronger for it. Show Gabriel slowly destroying himself (we did see some of this in the show, but it feels like too little too late) with his obsession and our heroes deciding that they won't be like that.
Have change shown subtly and consistently. Have the girls be less enthusiastic about Adrienette plans with time and Marinette becoming more anxious because they keep ending horribly. Have things happen in the background, like Kim daring Mylene to do something that before Horrificator she couldn't think about without crying, and her trying to do it and failing. That way when we see her succeed to achieve something that she couldn't do the first few episodes, we feel awed and connected. This would build up to the class becoming this great hero team and it wouldn't feel like we're being scammed out of their development.
I love what they did with Rose mentioning that she admires Prince Ali because of his sick children charities, and then showing later that she admires it since she is a sick child. I wanted more of that, consistency and layers.
Something else, the protagonist learning something new ≠ they make a terrible mistake every episode. Sometimes we aren't wrong, but we didn't succeed. Take Reflektedoll for example, Alya pushed Marinette and Adrien together, but Marinette was the one to apologize. Marinette even tried asking Juleka, but Alya bulldozed them both. This could've been a learning moment for all those involved and added to different arcs, Adrien included, but it felt lacking because the blame fell on just Marinette. Alya could've learned, or atleast begun learning, that she can't bulldoze people. Especially not when it's something new and/or important to them. Adrien could've learned that sometimes our friends are wrong and need to be called out (which he forgets with Chloe and sometimes Lila). Marinette could've started learning (with Juleka) when to put your foot down and demand to be heard. The girls who didn't say anything could've begun their arc of being a bystander isn't the same as being innocent. Rose is awesome though. If the episode had shown the blame these characters had and kept that going, the arc (as delayed as that ending felt) would be so much more interesting. (I think adding to the arc might've been the intention and just fallen short)
Change some of the miraculous or completely get rid of some, for example the rooster. I don't think I need to explain that one (their major plot holes)
There is probably something I'm forgetting, but hopefully my point is made. My rambling might be incoherent.
what would you change about mlb?
i see a lot of people complain about it, and trust me I know the show struggles a lot. but what would you do to improve it? i have my own ideas but I wanna hear other peoples ideas LOL

I'm planning on doing a Miraculous Ladybug rewrite
This is both for fun, to vent some frustrations, and get ideas out of my brain. However, as far as redemption goes for Gabriel, Lila, and Chloe, I don't know what I want to do for sure. (I already have plans for Felix) I don't think I want all of them redeemed, but I definitely don't want none of them to be redeemed either. I kind of want to see Marinette and Adrien helping 1 (or 2) of them, but (think) they fail the others. I want Adrien and Marinette to have to come to terms with the fact that it wasn't their job to help others change, but they went above and beyond to try anyways. Additionally, I'm not only redeeming Gabriel (cause that's stupid and makes no sense, why would the grown man be the only one to change). No matter who I redeem the others will still get therapy in jail or boarding school and it will be played as a 'they didn't want to change' or something similar because there are people out there who won't change and foils.

When you look it up most sources vary between ot being because of his parents and being because he's like Rbin Hood. Several sites say that it depends on the comic and some say the creator of Robin was inspired by Robin Hood.
But I think it's so much funnier if Dick was thinking of his nickname. Jason thought of it as Robin Hood (cause he's a nerd, and a lot of symbolism). Tim knows what everyone else thinks, but refuses to clarify this for anyone and he never thought of those things when he thought of the Robin title, he thought of Jason. Of Batman's partner Damian thinks of the bird. Steph thinks her time as Robin was too short for her to be listened to, but she jokes she thinks of the genie from Aladdin (played by Robin Williams).

How I think some Miraculous Ladybug characters figure out identities in crossovers (by accident)
Alya: Keeps putting masks on famous people/people in like one (1)newspaper as a joke, and going, wait a minute🤔... (ends with her doing the red string board thing to prove it)
Juleka: People keep forgetting she's there, unless their very cautious like the bat's or actively listening to heartbeats/breathing. Some people think shes a ghost or meta because their convinced they wouldn't overlook some kid.
Max: He built an AI at 14-ish, I think it's safe to say facial recognition and camera feeds aren't out of the realm of possibility.
These next two are because in canon their incredibly smart, these two would figure each other out instantly if they weren't
A. So stressed and busy
B. Actively trying not to figure it out. (They both know the importance of secret identities even if their a bit stupid at times)
C. Confined by the status quo/plot......anyways
Adrien: "The appearance, personality, and opportunity line up." 🤷‍♂️
Marinette: "the dent in THIS stapler can only be done by inhuman strength.... Can't forget the obvious fact that their friends with.... the hero nods their head to this song in the EXACT same way..... it was just too obvious to miss!" and equally absurd (to most people) things that make complete sense to her. Also, I'm a firm believer in face blind Marinette, so while height, build and hair add to her theories, not even basic facial structure can.
In all seriousness though, these kiddos are incredibly smart and I hate it when they dumb down the characters. I don't care if it's for plot, to make another character look smarter than they are, or a joke, if you need to dumb down a character to do that, then you shouldn't be writing. I mean this for characterization too!
Bonus: MLB vs. CONSPIRACY THEORIST
Random conspiracy theorist: "So this smudge on the roof means they can fly/walk on walls and means their clearly a hero."
Marinette: "Don't be ridiculous, that's clearly from a Pepsi bottle exploding, maybe a Coke, not Dr. Pepper though."
Adrien: "Why not Dr. Pepper?"
Alya: "You can see the trash bin and fridge in the pic, there's really beat up Pepsi and Coke bottles, but no Dr. Pepper. My money is on Coke.
Adrien: "But what if they stopped buying Dr. Pepper because it stained the roof?"
Max: "Valid point, but a quick search through the person's social media history shows a post mentioning a Coke can explosion, and a lack of morals required for heroing."
Marinette: "Dang, I was wrong about the brand :("
Alya: "ha"
RCT: "This is clearly just a cover up."

Marvelous Miracles (Please Disregard the Ghosts)
Pt. 2
Prev. Next,
this crossover includes Miraculous, DC, Marvel, and DP. I'm not gonna list each individual crossover in the tags (I list Maribat and dp×dc because I know those can be difficult to block sometimes and it makes it easier for this fic to blocked). If you don't like these, the title (exactly) is a tag so this fic can be blocked that way too.
Alfred Pennyworth, despite what most people claim, does not know everything. He knows Bruce Wayne is Batman, his son, and a father. He knows he would give his life for his grandchildren. He knows that the world needs people like his family, even if he doesn't always like it. He knows that something in Paris, France is bad enough for Master Bruce's old friend Jared to suggest that one Marinette Dupain-Cheng move to Gotham of all places, but he can't for the life of him understand what it is.
His family is incredibly paranoid wary at heart, and for good reason too, so it comes as no shock that they began investigating the girl's life. What is surprising is that they can't find a single reason for Jared's concern. School reports show cases of bullying and victim blaming being ignored, which is mildly concerning, but not the life threatening problems Jared has promised them. Thorough research finds that her parents are busy, but hardworking and loving parents. In fact, after learning who the girl's parents were, Alfred messaged an old friend of his. Unfortunately, Gina Dupain, grandmother of the girl in question, provided more questions than answers when she mentioned something about evil butterflies. Everyone they talk to sounds just as mad with terror as the last.
Master Bruce, never one to leave a child in danger when he uses that brain of his, agreed to host the girl. His family is still at work trying to figure out the girl's backstory as he picks the dear up from the airport. He's early, and not as young as he used to be, so he waits for her in the plain van. He sat watching the camera feeds as the plane lands and begins unloading. His curiosity grows as miss Dupain-Cheng comes to a sudden halt as her foot lands in the building. From what he could tell, there is nothing around that would cause this abrupt stop, yet she is still standing there, frozen with one foot in the building. Displeasure crosses his aged face as someone behind the girl pushes her forward. She starts walking again, but her movements are stiffer than before.
Her blue-grey eyes shine with unease and dart between all the exits warily. Alfred climbs out of the car, intent on getting her out of there as soon as possible. He grabs a sign with 'Felicity Garcia' written on it, the agreed upon name that hopefully wouldn't draw anyone's attention. His brows furrow with determination.
Alfred Pennyworth does not know everything, but he knows that he'll do right by this girl.
🐞🦇👻🕷🐞🦇👻🕷🐞🦇👻🕷🐞🦇👻🕷🐞🦇
Marinette Dupain-Cheng knows many things. She knows that she would risk everything for her friends. She knows that she'll never get to be a normal girl with a normal life until Hawkmoth is taken down. She knows that something is wrong and that nobody has noticed. She knows that something is there, in the corner of her eye. She knows that someone is watching her. She knows there are many mutterings, but nobody is talking. She knows that Gotham is Crime Capital of the US, but this? This was something much darker. Something she is sorry to have seen, because now she is going to have to do something about it.
She feels another shiver dance down her spine and thanks the kwami that she wore such a thick grey sweater. She pushes aside thoughts of sinister intentions and scans the almost empty building. She hums lightly as she spots a sign with 'Felicity Garcia' written on it. The elderly man holding it is wearing a beige sweater and regular jeans, but something in her screams that he shouldn't be wearing anything other than a suit.
"HI! I'm Felicity Garcia! Are you here to pick me up?" She asks cheerfully. The gentleman's smokey grey eyes twinkle as he replies.
"Of course not, I'm much too frail for that." She smiles at the passcode. As they walk towards the doors, someone behind them spills their coffee. She turns to the woman that is now drenched in coffee. Without hesitation Marinette rushes over. She pulls out napkins and an anti-stain stick. She offers them up to the woman freely. Distrust fills the woman's eyes as she takes the offered objects. The woman nods in thank you as she walks away.
Marinette stares at the space where the woman had stood for a long while before she moves again. As she heads to the van, pity and determination mixes into a jumbled mess inside of her.
Marinette Dupain-Cheng knows many things, like how she is going to do anything to help these people in a place too dark.
