I haven't been on here in forever! I don't know if anyone is still interested or not, lol.
The last month has been really, truly terrible. My beautiful Penny somehow got outside and is lost. We have done everything to find her! I have not cried so much since my parents died. I know Steve is probably tired of all the bawling, but it has just been so painful, not knowing where she is or if she is suffering.
Last week we got a new cat, Alice. She has helped a lot. She's sweet and affectionate and we love her already.
“From the time I began to read, as a child, I loved to feel their heft in my hand and the warm spot caused by their intimate weight in my lap; I loved the crisp whisper of a page turning, the musky odor of old paper and the sharp inky whiff of new pages. Leather bindings sent me into ecstasy. I even loved to gaze at a closed book and daydream about the possibilities inside.”
Really excited about reading this!! The day after tomorrow I leave for Colorado for a 2 week stay with my bestie!!! I am soooo excited. Hoping I can read on the plane and not have a panic attack. I get so claustrophobic on a plane, it's nothing to do with heights or flying, it's the fact I can't GET OUT. And I will be wearing a mask, which will make me more claustrophobic, yikes.
It will be worth it to be with Lehne though!! We have been best friends for FORTY EIGHT years!!
