you ever wanna just design a bunch of characters, each one has a really fun and thoughtful design, you find yourself in love with your new ocs, you write stories about them and brainrot about them and hyperfixate on your new funny lil guys.

you start to dream that maybe, one day, you'll share these stories among others, write a novel perhaps, or a webcomic, animated series. give them the greatest lives a fictional being could ever have.

and then forget about the project. and these new lives fall into the dark, terrifying pit of obscurity. the silence of archived folders, rotting files, among the corpses of dead wips.

i just have an issue with artfight and wanna get it off my chest. if you choose to do artfight that is entirely up to you, but to my knowledge they still haven't cracked down fully on feral nsfw.

i want to say first and foremost i very well could be wrong and close-minded in my view so i would appreciate corrections if that's the case. just don't insult me to hell, i would like to learn. ^^

so, yes, they ban and take down anyone explicitly drawing animals/animal-like characters in graphic nsfw acts.

but last year i found a character with "realistic lizard genitalia", next to another image depicting them as (non-explictly) horny.

i do wanna make it clear i understand artistic nudity. but when i see a character that is very clearly used for nsfw situations (bc why else would it have a "horny face") and ALSO stated to have "realistic lizard genitalia" that is where i draw the line.

i had submitted the character page to staff and all i got was "this is fine because the character can consent it seems". character was completely unfiltered so, you know, minors could've easily seen this. but who am i to judge?

i'm probably being prudish. i just don't really think it's okay to represent biologically-specific non-human genitals on fictional characters for nsfw/suggestive situations. you shouldn't fantasise about feral/realistic animals, "consenting" or not.

even with anthros. i don't mind them having human genitals but animal ones? that crosses a line. it's kind of disturbing, trying to find loopholes for your fantasy.

i dunno. maybe i'm not getting something? i just wanna hear some other thoughts on it. :)
