SPOILERS for the ending of Tgcf

I love the tgcf ending because it holds so much meaning, specifically on how they handled Jun Wu. With the symbolism of Xie Lian giving Jun Wu (a person who hurt him so much) the bamboo hat to further show that Xie Lian will never be like him. With the hat in itself being a symbol of compassion. Something Xie Lian was given in his lowest points.

That despite being so hurt and having so much taken from him, Xie Lian does not truly desire revenge. It's the final slap in the face to Jun Wu that shows despite how much he has tried to get Xie Lian to follow in his footsteps, Xie Lian never will.

First time by Hozier is by far one of my favorite songs from the album. The lyrics go so well with portraying the relationship. Especially the flower verse. Explaining the cycle of relationships and love through the life cycle of a flower. The abrupt changes that can happen in both situations. "Drying out, then drowning blindly" when the flower gets picked it starts to dry out, only to be pushed in a vase of water.
