We seem to be having the coldest Spring here in Sydney, which is a shame because I’ve been dreaming of flouncy midis and crop tops. I guess it just gives me more time to work on those abs that I’ve always wanted *asif*.

So despite the cold weather, the better half and I decided to be kids again and we visited Luna Park over the weekend. Was such a fun day out, unfortunately no teddy bears were won (Preet if you’re reading this, it’s okay I know you tried haha).

My outfit was quite simple, wasn’t planning to do a blog shoot but then I thought what the heck, can’t let such a beautiful view go to waste! I am in love with these jeans because they don't feel like standard skinny denim, they remind me of Chinos - a relaxed fit and uber comfy and of course, HIGHWAISTED. The leather jacket is also a special piece, I've had this since my Uni days - never gets old!

Officially first post of spring :D yay…excited for more sunshine (beating them vitamin D deficiencies haha)

Totes obsessed with these wide leg pants that I wore last night for my younger sister’s birthday – the theme was floral, my favourite! I kept the outfit quite neutral, pairing it with a grey fitted tee and a cream cropped cardi (courtesy: Sheike and Tobi). I added a metal panel belt for some bling and wore some kitten heels from RMK Shoes to complete the look.

I think I’ll definitely be wearing more of this wide leg look this season, perhaps some in black for work! Would make for an easy transition from desk to dinner.

These babies finally got delivered the other day - so obsessed I bought two pairs hehe. There was a time where 90% of my shoes were some form of heels, this has changed dramatically in the last few years. I love flats, specifically loafers and oxfords. They add a dapper touch to the simplest outfits.

So excited for SPRING! We had the sunniest day here in Sydney yesterday, hence why I got away with a lace shirt and some thin denim last night

I must admit, winter is my favest season - I absolutely love thick woollen coats and chunky knits. But tbh, I'm so over the freezing mornings, shorter days and my constant battle of wearing gloves vs using my phone! Looking forward to welcoming floral skirts and silk blouses!

So I’m finally taking a break from work aka 30 June Y/E (perks of being an Accountant)….and blogging about this awesome brunch destination that I visited with the other half a few weeks ago.

It’s called Wild Pear Café – and if you live in Sydney then PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE GO VISIT THIS PLACE! It’s tucked away in a small town called Dural, surrounded by nature and beautiful local fruit farms. The rustic café also has its own in-house nursery, adding the perfect authentic rural touch.

Now to the food – A must is a milk-shake (I personally love the vanilla and rose water), for mains the café has a set menu of approx. 8-10 dishes and that’s what I love about them. They do a few things but they do them so well. Last time we were there I ordered the chickpea and quinoa fritters with corn and prawns (delicious!) and the other half opted for a mixed meat plate (typical, but he said it was good haha).

Dessert – the hero of this post! You HAVE TO try their warm peanut butter and dark chocolate brownie with vanilla bean ice cream and pistachios. Best thing I have ever tasted!

All in all I would rate this a 4.5/5 – taking off 0.5 because the place gets so busy and they work on a walk-in basis so the waiting time can be a bit painful.

Happy Birthday Mrs Queen! Love love love long weekends!

I spent a good part of mine catching up on much needed sleep and aimlessly shopping around = aka the best way to spend any day off work haha. Amidst all this I did manage to fit in some wedding planning and food testing for the big day (I know right, what a multi-tasker). I opted for a super chill outfit in my much loved kookai tee and high-waisted jeans (tbh I don't think I actually own standard waist pants/skirts/shorts - everything I have is high-waisted and I love it that way!).

These jeans are my take on the distressed boyfriend jeans look that I keep seeing everywhere atm. I'm actually not a fan of distressed denim - I can't justify wearing ripped clothes or paying so much for them. Instead I opted for these high riders from Lee, I purposely bought a size larger to achieve that loose boyfriend fit/look. I completed the outfit with these adorable loafers from Vanishing Elephant (absolutely in love with these, I wear them everywhere!) and a wrap coat in baby blue from Sheike. I'm actually loving the blue on blue look - I think it adds a sophisticated touch to the outfit. Will definitely be trying more alike colours together.

All in all the weekend was successful, we ended up finalising a menu and some key aspects of the big day!

Like any true fashion junkie, I’ve been glued to my insta this whole week. Why? CANNES! Enough said.

Now don’t get me wrong, while the Cannes Film Festival is a great platform for showcasing new and upcoming talent – I’m addicted to it from a purely fashion perspective. I love the extravagance it exuberates. I generally keep an eye out for my number one diva aka Sonam Kapoor – but this year it was Aishwarya Rai Bachchan that stole the show for me.

I’ve loved each and every look that she’s presented so far. She’s back and in a big way. I love her polished and effortless style – each look has been consistently on point (including her make-up).

Here are my favourite picks - #1 being the Ralph and Russo gown – just love the silhouette on this one.

P.S. A special mention to Kendall Jenner - loving this simple cropped top and maxi skirt from Alaia...uber chic!

#Keeping it casual – So the better half and I went wedding venue hunting over the weekend…and we came across this beautiful garden! And like any normal individuals, we decided to whip out the camera for a quick shoot ;) (C’mon the setting was just way too gorgeous to pass up)

My outfit was uber simple, wore a plain tee from Kookai in a burgundy (love this colour, goes with everything) and some navy jogger pants from Forever New (seriously, these pants are the next best thing after the jumpsuit haha). I jazzed up this simple outfit with some animal print flats from Glamour Puss (super comfy, I love that they wrap around the ankle - adds a subtle bling) and a novelty slogan clutch from Zara - keeping it positive :D

And yes, we did end up shortlisting some venues but that’s a post for another day ;)

Sangeet time – aka it’s wedding season! Outfit snaps from a sangeet that I attended last night. Was a Punjabi partaaay so I opted for a “salwaar suit” this time – this custom suit was designed by me in India last year when we went shopping for my brother’s wedding. I love the colours and the simplicity of this number (not really a big fan of heavy embroidery and since I was attending in a “plus one capacity” I appreciated that it wasn’t too overstated!).

Happy Easter J

Was a rainy Good Friday here on my side of the world! While I don’t celebrate Easter, I’m loving the public holidays and time off work – finally having some down time with the other half…

We spent the day watching Fast and Furious 7 with a couple of close friends, followed by a quiet dinner at a little rustic Italian place near the water. Now, I’m in no way an action fan, but I have to say the story behind this F&F was incredibly strong. I loved the tribute to Paul Walker! It’s definitely worth a watch!

Now to the outfit ;) … was quite a chilly day out yesterday, so I opted for a camel loose fit coat with some leopard print faux fur detailing (from ASOS). I wore this over some leather tights from Decjuba and a simple slogan tee from Myer – totally obsessed with slogan tees atm! I love wearing them with colourful high waisted pencil skirts – makes for a unique “going-out”/casual Friday outfit!

I completed the look with some Tony Bianco ankle booties in suede leather – while I love the heels, I’m on the lookout for some flat ankle boots for the colder months…something for everyday wear.

Anywhoo, Happy Easter to all … hope you all have a lovely, safe and fun filled holiday!
