I cannot believe there's absolutely no way to watch free shows and movies anymore, there are too many paid streaming platforms and pirating websites have viruses and ads preventing you from watching it uninterrupted((.)) id rather follow the rules and purchase media moving forward because it is too inconvenient. Seriously, free and no ads or viruses with 1080p streaming is DEAD.

I appreciate and understand the love for Dead Poets Society in the Marauder-era fandom. The aesthetic is immaculate.
As a Brit and an older fan I would like to make a public service announcement that you're all sleeping on The History Boys. And would encourage everyone to go watch it.

I’ve been waiting to get my hands on the third volume of She Loves To Cook And She Loves To Eat (TsukuTabe) just so I could read this conversation between Yako and Nomoto. I’ve noticed several recent yuri manga have been discussing asexuality lately, and I’m glad to see more.

I admire author Sakaomi Yuzaki, not only for putting these topics in TsukuTabe, but for also using their audience to try and bring about some positive change for actual members of minority groups in Japan.

Ever wondered when our ancestors first fashioned footwear? Research from South Africa seems to push the timeline back way further than previously imagined.

In the late 1960s and early ’70s the Black Consciousness Movement, a grassroots anti-apartheid movement, also expressed support for the Palestinian struggle. So too did one of Africa’s greatest independence heroes, Amílcar Cabral, who said: ‘We stand with the Palestinian refugees and support everything that the children of Palestine do in order to free their country, and… the Arab and African countries do to aid the Palestinian people to recover its dignity, its independence and its right to life.’
South Africans recognise Israel’s culpability in their own historic oppression. In the 1970s, this extended to the field of nuclear weaponry – Israeli experts helped South Africa develop at least six nuclear warheads. In 1977, after the murder of anti-apartheid activist Steve Biko by South African security police, the UN imposed a mandatory arms embargo on the country. And by the 1980s the global anti-apartheid movement forced states to impose sanctions.
But as late as 1980, 35 per cent of Israel’s arms exports were destined for South Africa and, in the same decade, Israel imported South African goods and re-exported them to the world as a form of inter-racist solidarity. Meanwhile Israeli companies subsidised by the apartheid regime were established in a number of bantustans, all the while paying workers a pittance.

Back in South Africa in the era of Apartheid, what was the problem? Was it that some members of the Black Resistance, including the ANC but not only the ANC, took up arms against the South African regime and sometimes killed innocent people? No, that was not the problem. The problem was Apartheid. Apartheid, whether it is practised in South Africa or in Palestine-Israel, is always going to procure violence because it is a violent, misanthropic system. Any human being living on the wrong end of Apartheid will either die a terrible, silent death or rebel and, often, take with them innocent people.

You’re blind, dumb, delusional or a combination of all three if you don’t think these situations are identical. My entire family lived through South African apartheid. My father and his family were subject to constant abuse even though they weren’t black. My family is of Indian descent which means they came to South Africa as indentured labourers. All POC in South Africa (black people, Indian people and coloured people) were subject to absolute horrors. My family suffered unimaginably and still have PTSD to this day and yet their suffering pales in comparison to the suffering of our black brothers and sisters. If anything, Palestinian apartheid is worse. They are being bombed, barricaded and killed en masse. Children are being raised knowing nothing but a life of war and violence. Children are being kept as political prisoners. Hospitals, churches, schools and mosques are being bombed to high heaven. If you think what is happening is self defence you are entitled, privileged and have not known a day of proper suffering in your life. There is a reason most of Israel’s support comes from first world countries and white people. Palestine has the right to fight back. As Nelson Mandela said, if there is no other option, we will use violence.
“The freedom of South Africa remains incomplete without the freedom of Palestine”

South Africa’s Bantustans, areas where black residents lived without autonomy, inspired many in the Israeli elite as a viable model for Palestine. This was the desire to isolate “undesirable” Palestinians in noncontiguous enclaves, Bantustans cut off from the rest of the country—in other words, like today’s West Bank, where 165 Palestinians “enclaves” are strangulated by Israeli colonies, the IDF, and violent settlers. During the apartheid South African era, Israeli diplomats were instructed around the world to tell the media that the Jewish state didn’t recognize the Bantustans. This was a lie, as a telegram by the deputy director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Natan Meron, on November 23, 1983, proved: “It is no secret that Israeli political figures and public figures are involved in one way or another, directly or indirectly, in economic activity in the Bantustans.”
