THE OWL HOUSE AU:

HUNTER X WILLOW

Luz finished setting up the campfire as Amidty gathers more wood. While Willow and Gus sat on the ground nearby building a temporary shelter for everyone.

“I just don't think that's how it goes?” Gus questioned Willow as he watched her build another floor onto the tent...would you call it a tent at this point?

Willow scoffed, “It's about to rain, Gus. I don't think we want to be boiled alive.” she waved her hand to finish the roofing. “Plus, who says extra protection is bad?” she smiled at him.

“Hey, guys...” Luz walked up to them. She and Amidty looked around. “Have you guys seen Hunter?” Amidty asked them. Willow and Gus stood up,

“I thought he was helping you guys gather wood?” Gus question. Willow started to get worried, “He probably got lost. So, let's split up and find him 'cause it's about to rain.” Willow told them. She ran off before anyone got a say in it. As she ran further iinto the forest, she noticed a trail of footprints. Willow slowed down when she started to follow them. It wasn't until she heard a small cry that made her quicken her pace once again. She ran as fast as she could towards it.

Willow came to a stop when she saw Hunter surrounded by wood that he dropped. Hunter was curled into himself crying and shaking. As she got closer she kept hearing him mumbling. She called out to him. “Hunter...” she reached her hand out to touch him but quickly retracted it when she saw him flinch. “Hunter, do you know where you are?” Willow asked him. Hunter shook his head in his hands. “You in the forest Hunter,” she told him as she sat down next to him.

She took his hands off his face which made Hunter flinch from the touch and look at her. “Do you know the color of your eyes?” Willow questioned him. Hunter stared at her as tears bled from his eyes, “T-There red?” he told her. She smiled and nodded. “They are. Although, I would say they're more of pink tinted red but sure.” she joked with him. hunter smiled a bit from the joke. He felt himself relax. His eyes trailed Willows's face. She was so pretty. It wasn't until he noticed that they were holding hands that made his face turn red and his heart raced. Hunter quickly snatched his hand away. “Umm...We should head back...” He rubbed the back of his head and stood up. Willow nodded and got up. “Let's hurry then. It's going to rain soon.”
