Chapter 1 Brand New Rockin' Driver
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Since Spring started, Luna had been practicing driving the car, with Sam helping her out after she passed her test. The last several months were dreadful for Luna, she made countless mistakes which nearly caused her to fail her test, but after getting support from her girlfriend, she made sure she didn't mess it up again. At the beginning of July, after studying day and night, Luna finally passed her test one hundred percent. She took her picture for her driver's license as she left by driving back home with Sam by her side.
“I’m really proud of you.” Sam smiled. “I thought that you would never get your driver’s license.”
“Neither did I.” Luna paid attention to the road. “Lori really made it look easy when she got her license.”
“It’s not like she never made mistakes afterwards. As for Leni…” Sam bites her lip.
“Yeah, don’t talk about it.”
“So, what car are you planning on buying?”
“I’m not buying a car.” Luna responded.
“Why? I’m planning on getting one when I have enough money.”
“It’s not that I don’t want one, I've wanted something better, ever since I turned sixteen.” As she passed the green light, she turned to her girlfriend while she still wore the pendant she gave her from Christmas last year. “A motorcycle.”
“A motorcycle?” Sam blinked. “You just practice driving a wheel for months.”
“True, but Royal Woods doesn’t have a DMV practice facticity. In fact, I’ve only seen motorcycles from out of town. I took my driver’s license so I can go to the nearest outside town to search for one. My parents refuse to drive out of town.”
Sam wanted to be supportive, but she’s unsure about Luna’s new goal. “Don’t you think that driving a car is much safer than a motorcycle?”
“Don’t you want to ride with me on a motorcycle?”
“I prefer staying inside of a car protecting me all around. I just don’t want to get into a dangerous accident. Plus…you driving a car is fine as it is, you don’t have to go the extra mile.”
Luna couldn’t disagree with her girlfriend, but she always goes the extra mile when the opportunity is still open for her. While she’ll have no problem driving to gigs with her band, it would be phenomenal in the future to see her along with her band with their own motorcycles, diving on the highway in the sunset and into the night.
“If you are feeling what I'm feeling right now, you would love being on a motorcycle with me. It’ll be our own special date when we go out that way.”
This caused Sam to blush, thinking about the possibilities. “It’s still too early but…” She looked out the car window. “...It’ll be exciting.”
“Now look who’s catching on.” Luna grinned. “I promise we won’t get into any dangerous accidents on the road.”
“Let’s just focus on the now in the meantime.”
On their way home, back at the Loud’s residence, Lana, her pet Hops, and Lori are watching TV in the living room. Lori is waiting for Luna after the many times she failed. With today being the moment to glory, she hoped that her sister succeeded. Everyone may not be around to celebrate her accomplishment, she really wants to see her drive for the first time.
Lana is waiting for the King Cars commercial after learning that Bobbie Fletcher is gonna be part of it. She doesn’t know what the commercial’s gonna be like but she can’t wait to see Bobbie again.
Luna parked Vanzilla at the driveway as she and Sam got out. They made their way to the front door as Luna unlocked it with her key, getting the attention from Lori and Lana. “Luna.” Lori got up from the sofa. “Did you get your driver's license?”
“You bet I did!” She exclaimed proudly, showing it to Lori.”
“She finally passed.” Sam added.
“Great!” Lori cheered. “Can’t wait for the family to find out about this while mom and dad allow you to take the steering wheel.”
“You know I’ve born to take control of the family’s wheel.” Luna gave her sister a fist bump. “Hey Lana, guess who got their driver's license?”
“You did!” She pointed. “Now we have five people in the family who can take us wherever we want!”
“Okay, don’t get too excited.” Sam claims Luna’s younger sister down. “She’s not gonna go out often since she still needs a car.”
“That’s not gonna be easy.” Lori replied. “Either you get a job or have your neighbor take him to different places in order to have his car in the end.” She then lowered her head. “Of which the latter is unlikely.”
“Our gigs have been profitable, not much, but we’re making sure we will save enough…even though I want something else.” Luna said.
“She wants to buy a motorcycle instead of a car.” Sam filling in.
Lori and Lana looked at each other after hearing about Luna’s goal. While they refuse to get in her way of life, they’re on the same boat that Sam’s in. “A motorcycle may be cheaper than a car but…it’s better to go with the term, time is money.” Lori commented.
“Except for once in a lifetime deals.” Lana added as Hops nodded on her head.
“I’m still focusing on the now…even though I wish there’s another way to get a motorcycle.”
“Don’t worry about it.” Lori replied. “In a little bit, can you show me how good your driving is?”
“I will, I’m just gonna have some ice cream.”
“Can I have some?” Sam asked.
“Sure.” Luna and Sam made their way to get some ice cream from the kitchen while Lori and Lana went back to the TV.
“I hope she doesn’t get herself into dangerous accidents, or worse.” Lori sitting back down on the sofa.
“She won’t act like she’s driving a motorcycle.” Lana sat in front of the TV. “I know she’s not gonna be as bad as Leni.”
“The thing is Lana, if she ever gets a motorcycle, I’m still confident she won’t be reckless since she and us…experienced Vanzilla carnage.”
Then the King Cars commercial appeared on the TV, catching Lana’s attention. “It’s on!” As Lori watched with her, the commercial finished its mini intro as it went straight to the business owner of King Cars.
“Citizens of Royal Woods, we have a special guest at King Cars!” He cheered in front of the camera. “Please welcome, Bobbie Fletcher!” Bobbie Fletcher appeared on screen as Lana cheered. “She has a special announcement that’ll take over Royal Woods for a brand new event!” He gave Bobbie the microphone as she gave her announcement to the citizens back home.
“Racing fans!” She cheered. “We’re gonna be throwing our one and only event, THE ROYAL WOODS RACEWAY!”
“WHAT!?” Lana reacted while paying more attention to the TV.
“One full lap in the city of Royal Woods. Neighborhoods, resorts and lodges, anywhere you can think of. For the full day, our contestants will race all out to make this the most unique race in history. And those contestants can be one of you!” She pointed at the TV screen, causing Lana’s eyes to sparkle.
“Only five teams will qualify to the Royal Woods Raceway, so you better come over to King Cars sooner than later to volunteer. It’ll be your only opportunity to take part in the race. And one more thing…” The camera zoomed in on her, as she gave everyone one final announcement. “I’m taking part in the race.”
Lana’s jaw dropped, while Lori couldn’t believe what she just saw. She doesn’t want to take part in the race but on the other hand, she’s no longer the option to drive people to places with another sister being an option.
“And the people who participate, and pass the finish line, will win one of these.” She got out of the way as she showed the five rewards. One of the rewards is a black and purple sport touring motorcycle with hot rod flames. This gave Lana an idea, hoping she can get to King Cars today before it’s too late.
Bobbie Fletcher gave the microphone back to the King Cars business owner as he closed off the commercial. “The Royal Woods Raceway will take place in two weeks. Come over to King Cars right now to start your engines!” The commercial ended as Lana turned to Lori in a flash.
“Me and Luna will definitely be a team in this!” Lana shaked as Hops groaned in annoyance. “Oh, you’re also part of the team, I wouldn’t leave you out.” She hugged Hops.
Lori sighed after watching the whole commercial. “Not even an hour later, Luna’s definitely on the verge of losing her speed studies.”
Chapter 2 Blazing Velocity Shot

After Luna and Sam finished their ice cream, Lori told them to head to King Cars right away. She didn’t tell them why they were going there, especially since they can’t afford to buy or even rent a car, but Lana made sure to keep it a secret when it came to the rewards. They arrived at their destination as Luna parked safely in the parking lot.
“Good parking job.” Lori smiled.
“You can not believe the amount of times I’ve had to do it over in order to get it right.” Luna replied as she and the others got out of Vanzilla. “But still, Lana, you didn’t even give us a reason why we’re here.”
“Trust me, you’re gonna love it.” Lana said.
“Is there a car you want to show me?”
“No, but something really better. I’m surprised you didn’t see what was hanging above the road before we parked.”
“She’s been focusing on the road, she’s still new to this.” Sam spoked. “Let’s head inside.”
The group entered inside the building of King Cars, where a couple of race cars were displayed next to the window. Luna caught on knowing that racing is Lana’s favorite sport, but the truth of itself won’t make her like it.
“Hello customers.” The business owner smiled. “Which car can I help you to find?”
“We’re not here for a car.” Lori said. “This is about your commercial my younger sister Lana saw.”
“We want to participate in the Royal Woods Raceway!” Lana cheered which shocked her sister and girlfriend.
“Wait, what!?” Luna reacted.
“Oh so you want to be the first to participate? Then I’ll get right down to it!” He smiled as he headed to the back. “Give me a moment, wait right there.”
“Wait, I didn’t agree to- But I just got my-” Luna couldn’t finish her sentence as the business owner left. She turned to Lana in a shocked look while her girlfriend felt the same. “Lana, what did you just do!?”
“We’re gonna be in a team in a race where Bobbie Fletcher is also competing!” He cheered.
“But I don’t want to compete!”
“Lana, you and Luna’s parents aren’t gonna be happy when they find out about this.” Sam filling in. “I don’t want to see Luna get herself injured.”
“Why didn’t you tell us?” Luna turned to Lori.
“I was going to, but there’s something about the race that…” Lori looked away knowing Luna will change her mind once it’s all out.
“What!?”
“...you wouldn’t want to skip on the opportunity.”
“What do you mean? I just said I don’t want to compete.”
“You'll find out.”
“Oh, you will find out.” Lana smiled.
The business owner came back with the race car driver that caught Lana’s attention. Bobbie Fletcher has a Royal Woods Raceway contract in her hand as she’s prepared to give it to Lana or Luna. “Just read the rules from this contract and once you sign it, you and your team’s name will be part of the race.”
“If you sign this, we'll show you which modded race cars you can rent and practice before the race arrives.” Bobbie Fletcher added.
“Oh this is gonna be exciting!” Lana said while her sister, Luna scratched on the back of her head, looking away.
“Who’s gonna be your driver then dude?” Lana pointed at Luna which Bobbie and the business owner turned to. Luna slowly turned back while trying to be as nice as possible, despite Lana putting her in his position.
“Uhhhh…” She replied. “...does the Royal Woods Raceway prevent drivers from getting speed violation tickets afterwards?”
“You won’t, so don’t worry.”
“It took months to make sure everything is sorted out.” The business owner added. “Though we’re still making sure the race itself doesn’t cause any severe incidents.”
“I got to say though.” Bobbie walking up to Luna. “You look like someone who’ll do anything for a sister, who’s a big fan of mine.” She then turned to Lana. “Who’ll be my pit crew member when she’s older.”
“That is, if she told me ahead of time.” She looked down.
“Bobbie Fletcher.” Sam filling in. “Luna and I just got our driver’s licenses and we agreed to prevent any dangerous accidents.”
“Also, I don’t think you have something that’s worth any value to me.” Luna added.
“Well it looks like someone doesn’t know about the rewards upon finishing the race.” Bobbie grinned while she wrapped her arm around Luna. “Let me show you what you’ll get once you finish the race.” Bobbie took Luna to the prizes that’s hidden behind the curtain along with a glass wall sealed. The business owner grabbed the rope, pulling it down to move the curtain out of the way.
In full view of the prizes, Luna’s eyes sparkled while she stared at the black and purple sport touring motorcycle. Bobbie Fletcher loved the look on her face as she let go of her, allowing her to walk up to the glass wall, looking at the motorcycle from her eyes. Sam also found the motorcycle mesmerizing, enough for her and Luna to ride on together but at the same time, she still has second thoughts, but not her girlfriend.
“If you sign the contract right now, we'll allow your team to pick one reward in advance as long as you finish the race.”
This caused Luna to turn around in a flash. “Then give me the contract!”
“Here you go.” Bobbie gave Luna the contract and pen as she went to Lana so she can sign as well.
“Let’s rock this joint!”
“You bet!” Lana cheered.
As the two sisters read the rules, Sam and Lori were speechless, but not in a cheerful way. Sam turned around to look at the motorcycle again. A part of her really wants the motorcycle, but she really wants her girlfriend to be extremely careful , especially after months of work and practice towards getting her license.
“Is that motorcycle a rare one of a kind?” She turned to Bobbie.
“Yes.” Bobbie answered. “It has all of the accessories with high sounding quality from every radio station and it can go above one hundred and fifty miles per hour.”
“That’s a great deal…if we would ever run from the law.”
“You can still run it on the race tracks. There’s no law if the executives allow it.”
“It’s a great motorcycle, I won’t deny it, but our parents won’t like this.” Lori added. “Even if Lana isn’t gonna drive, she’s still too young for this. This is more dangerous than the race she and Lincoln had.”
“You forgot that she showed me how much passion she has when I waited for her and her brother, finishing her last race the right way.” Bobbie crossed her arms while still smiling.
“That’s because me and my family fell asleep. It was night time when they finished the race.”
“I wouldn’t even stay awake for how long they took to make it to the finish line.” Sam commented.
“Nobody would blame you.” The business owner added.
“But after that day, she told me, she wanted to be inside of a race car, wishing there’s a race filled with teamwork and dreams.” Bobbie took notice of Sam’s pendent. “Do you have dreams with Luna?”
This caused Sam to blush. “Kind of.”
“Then be in her team along with her sister. Trust me. I remember what I felt when my dreams finally came true. Racing can do more than you think.”
Sam took Bobbie’s words to heart, if it’s the only way to get a motorcycle that’s way better than the ones in stores, she’ll make her own dreams come true as well. She made her way to Luna and Lana, who were preparing to sign the contract.
“How will Mom and Dad take it well when they find out about this?” Lori placed her hand on her hip.
“I’m sure my biggest fan along with her sister can work it out. You can be their crew chief if you’re a good driver.”
“We’re giving every team the map of the race track itself.” The business owner showed the map to Lori. “If it’ll make things easier, you can take them to the locations for them to remember where they’re going.”
“Thanks.” Lori smiled. “But this is gonna be a long two weeks. This race will literally change Luna big time. But I don’t know if it’s a bad thing…or a good thing."

We Bare Bears Canadian Freedom Or Hibernation Heartsick Chapter 5
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Grizz took Chloe, Ranger Tabes, her pet Kirk, Griff, and Karla to the mansion of one of the famous animals on the internet. He still couldn’t believe some of his friends had never heard of him, but that’s mainly how their lives were more important than watching videos on the internet. He’s fully aware how much Griff spends all day in the mall as a Mall Cop, Chloe focusing on her studies in college especially her Canada adventure story she’s planning upon arrival to the country, Ranger Tabes spending her life protecting the forest, and Karla who barely spends time on the internet. But he knew at some point, he needed to make sure everyone's coming.
“We’re here.” Grizz said, walking up to the gate of the mansion itself.
“You never showed any videos of this koala buddy.” Griff commented. “Especially since he’s really famous.”
“Trust me, I’ve never learned the lesson of never meeting your heroes.”
“I’ve learned that before I skipped school grades.” Chloe replied. “Through judging from his mansion, I’m prepared to find out who he really is.”
“I’m looking forward to meeting him.” Ranger Tabes smiled and Kirk barked. “And Kirk is willing to come along. He is independent, but it’s our only chance to go on a country adventure. Especially the Canadian Ranger who could be around after we met at Ranger Con.”
Grizz knew Ranger Tabes had hopes, but even after everything that happened, he’s still unsure if she’s gonna take it well when she witnesses the Koala’s true self. The gate itself opened, taking them by surprise, it wasn’t long until the bodyguard from the building made his way to meet the uninvited guests. But judging from the security cameras recording them from the gate, the koala knew one of them would come over even if he didn’t want him to.
The bodyguard walked up to Grizz’s group as he gave them the news. “Nom Nom is in his office at the moment.” Farmer replied. “But…he’s unsure about meeting your friends.”
“He doesn’t have any friends…especially him?” Karla pointed at Grizz.
“Somewhat, but I have little to know about that.” They all went inside Nom Nom’s mansion, not wasting any time to take them to his office. Inside Nom Nom’s office, Nom Nom just finished a phone call after getting congratulated from signing people’s autographs he did from the mall last night during Bear Solidarity Day. But every time he heard about the holiday itself, it didn’t bug him of how it reminded him of three specific bears, however he knew a lot had changed. He never met any of his friends, including the ones he’s bringing in. Little did he know, he has yet to learn about Grizz’s plans on why he’s bringing his friends in.
Farmer entered the office which took Nom Nom by notice. “Are they waiting?” He asked.
“Yes.” Farmer answered. “Grizz has an offer for you, but it has nothing to do with autographs for his friends.”
Nom Nom took a deep breath while attempting to get this over with. “Invite them in.”
Farmer headed out of the office, not long until he took Grizz and his friends inside the office. The moment Grizz’s friends looked at Nom Nom, Ranger Tabes found him adorable while Karla caught on to everything from the way his mansion looks from the inside. Chloe and Kirk are the only ones who can’t see him with the desk blocking the way. When Grizz walked up to the desk, Nom Nom cut the chase immediately.
“Do you want you and your friends to be invited to one of my next parties?” He guessed.
“No, but it would’ve been cool.” Grizz answered.
“He does parties?” Ranger Tabes wondered. “I would be willing to come over for a sweet little koala like him.” He padded on the koala’s head, which irritated him.
“Please don’t do that.” Grizz said, grabbing Ranger Tabes’s arm.
“Why are you here?” Nom Nom retorted.
“Last night, me and my brothers were thinking about going to Canada soo…”
“If you’re asking about using my private jet, It’s not happening.”
“No, we’re taking care of that. What I’m trying to say here is…” He closed his eyes while getting to the point. “...do you want to come…for a vacation?”
Nom Nom lowered his head which took Grizz’s friends by notice. “No.” He answered. “You know I have a schedule I’m focusing on.”
“I’m not surprised.” Karla sighed.
“Also, I have zero plans on making any friends if that’s what you're thinking about.”
“Nom Nom, you barely give anyone a chance.” Grizz said.
“You barely get to know who we are.” Griff added.
“That’s the thing.” Farmer turned to. “He barely remembers any names of people he meets after one day.”
“I may remember your brothers but trust me, if I’m not gonna spend a lot of time with them,” He pointed at the others. “I won’t even enjoy Canada itself.”
“But koala.” Ranger Tabes looked down.
“Call me by my name, Nom Nom!”
“Sorry, Nom Nom, I’m a ranger who takes her job seriously and it would be exciting to witness more animals with you around.”
“For your information, I never made animal friends. And judging by how you look, I wouldn’t enjoy being around you.”
Ranger Tabes lowered her head while backing away, being affected by the koala’s words. “It was just an offer.”
“Believe me, I was his emotional support animal…it didn’t last too long.” Grizz said, patting on the shoulder of the ranger.
Chloe heard everything despite not meeting the koala face to face. From the way Grizz and Ranger Tabes are feeling, she’s not meeting a nice animal like the ones Dana met back in the forest. She walked up to the desk, trying to reach from the top with Kirk lifting her up. Upon getting to the top, the koala took his attention. The two stare at each other face to face, with almost the same height with Chloe refusing to get her feelings the better of her.
“Our lives are different when we weren’t internet famous.” She walked up to the koala. “Unlike you, I skipped grades and I went straight to college.”
“You do realize he has never been to school right?” Grizz leaned down.
“I know.”
“Really, what did the bears do for you?”
“They tried to make me fit in my classes and helped me study…even though we did that for nothing other than being on a sugar rush.”
Nom Nom rolled his eyes while turning around. “Do you not understand why I refuse to be around them, they’re hazardous to be around!”
“You’re wrong.”
“They once hijacked the internet which caused them to leave San Francisco in the first place.”
“It wasn’t even a horrible crime.”
“Do you even know any of the shenanigans they’ve caused?” He looked back.
“Some.” She replied. “But they’re not horrible people.”
“Horrible people or not, something always happens when he and his brothers are around.” He then leaned face to face to Chloe. “Bad things always happen.”
Chloe closed her eyes, remembering what happened when the bears captured Professor Lampwick once. “The point I’m trying to make is I’ve spent time with them to know them more. Like, did you at least once spend a full day with them?”
Nom Nom leaned back while thinking about what Chloe said. He sighed while telling the truth to the ten year old. “Yes, but I only used them. Do you need any proof?”
“No. Nom Nom, I’ve never watched your videos, but it isn’t because I’ve never seen you for the first time, it’s because I’m not a fan of celebrity animals. Canada is a place to make memories of the people you’re close to.”
“Chloe.” Karla chimed in. “I think you’ve said enough, he’s never gonna believe any of that.”
“Then what are we gonna do?”
“Let me handle this.” After Chloe took her words, she got off of the desk as the former castaway survivor looked straight down at the koala. “Do you even remember how you became famous?”
Nom Nom didn’t retort after taking the question into consideration. “I…remember that I…got picked into being one.”
“Bet you were way too young when it happened.” Griff added.
“Being rich can really affect your mind. I’d spent a long time on a deserted island with a madman who wanted to marry me.” She then leaned down to Nom Nom’s face. “But that never changed me. What would you feel if you were on an island without anyone aside from the one who’s lost his mind?”
Nom Nom was about to say Grizz’s name but he admits he never loses his mind. “I would lose my mind…and lose my ability to think…and talk.”
“Exactly.” She then lifted him up in the air, which took him by surprise, but didn’t infuriate him. “Finding the good in people isn’t your thing, but I’ve done it with Grizz and his brothers.” She then turned to Ranger Tabes who Krik’s with. “Ranger Tabes looks after the bears when she protects the forest where the bears live. The animals there are a lot kinder when they’re not harmed.”
When Nom Nom looked at Krik, it all came back that he gave the bears a dog when they were accidentally invited to his Christmas party. But at the same time, he didn’t give Tabes the dog, the bears did. “I cared less about the dogs I’ve been sending, I completely forgot that dog was from my Christmas Party.”
When Ranger Tabes looked at Krik, her eyes shot open. “Krik was one of the dogs you sent?”
“I guess. I never thought the bears would give you one as a Christmas gift.”
“I wasn’t gonna abandon him, it was mostly a last minute decision to make up for what me and my brothers caused.” Grizz walked up to Karla still holding onto the koala. “If you don’t want to come along because you won’t remember anything aside from Canada itself…” Grizz sighed while facing Nom Nom’s morality. “...you better off only being famous in the United States.”
Grizz made his way to one of the big windows of the office, watching the open field. Nom Nom and the others watched him, unlike him, his friends know how passionate he is going to Canada. Nom Nom had always gone to studios to perform videos and commercials while only going to the treatment center on vacation outside of the United States. Grizz is the only person he’s ever close to when he doesn't need it, but never thought about it.
“Put me down.” He requested as Karla put him on the ground. He walked up to Grizz while he turned around. “Grizz, I’ll go to Canada, but not with you and your group. I’ll think of something since I still have a schedule, but it would be likely I would hang out with your friends if I get the chance.”
“You’re gonna take a private jet to Canada?” Chloe wondered.
“Yes. It could even happen before you guys arrive in Canada.”
“You could do an event in Canada.” Farmer offered. “Or something like that. It’ll be for Grizz’s brothers and friends.”
“It’ll also be your first international exposure if you’re willing to get attention.” Griff smiled.
“As long as it doesn't give me a heart attack.” Nom Nom said, clenching his teeth.
“Not great motivational support.” Grizz leaning next to Griff.
“If we meet you in Canada, we can at least do one activity together.” Karla replied. “We should probably continue on getting transpiration.”
“My brothers will take care of that. We’re gonna take Gayle out in San Francisco to take a break.”
“It’s also really busy when it comes to the bears hanging out there.” Chloe added.
“Do your thing.” Nom Nom heading back to his desk. “This international thing is still a first for me.”
“It’s a first for almost all of us.” Ranger Tabes said. “Hopefully the experience there will change you.”
“Maybe…when I have the time for a break…I’ll think about hanging out…and maybe enjoying being around people like you.”
Ranger Tabes felt a little better from the koala’s choice of words. Grizz felt a little relieved it almost worked out even if Nom Nom didn’t meet his other friends yet. But when that happens and the events in Canada, he won't miss Nom Nom’s every move.

Steven Universe Of The Creek Chapter 20 Defer Fusion
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sparkle Cadet used her wand again with more bubbles coming out, floating around her friends and her new friend she made in an instant. After Steven and Craig agreed to hang out with her, Steven decided to turn into his little kid form again. From the way he saw Sparkle Cadet’s performance, he didn’t hesitate, wanting to experience her style that he’s taking a liking to.
“You know, just because you’re free to turn into a kid whenever you want, doesn’t mean we’re your coat rack.” Kelsey said, holding onto Steven’s coat.
“I don’t mind being a coat rack.” J.P. replied. “Even though I still need my eyes so I can see where I’m going.”
“You just want to smell his cologne, do you?”
“That’s why he agreed to have you carry it.” Omar replied. “But still, this has to be the happiest I’ve seen him so far.”
In front of them while more bubbles appeared from the wand, Steven used his bubble powers to seal multiple small bubbles, while popping them with multiple sparkles coming out from them.
“So beautiful!” Sparkle Cadet commented, with sparkles in her eyes.
“I didn’t think you could actually do that.” Craig added.
“There are more ways for my gem powers to create magical perceptions.” Steven smiled. “I have to say Sparkle Cadet, you really know how to spread joy in the same ways like I used to when I was a kid.”
“You're technically a kid right now, after you turned into one, but I’ve been thinking about your gem since the moment I saw it last night.” Sparkle Cadet said.
“Were you also thinking about Aquamarine and Ruby in the same ways the Sewer Kids once did? As in fear?”
“A little bit. The battle you had with them last night wasn’t a lie, it felt almost dangerous if they decided to battle against me.”
“They will never face you in a battle unless you have something they need, which you don’t.”
“We’re also lucky there’s no Gem war going on, especially here, otherwise you would actually train if you were a gem.” Craig replied.
Sparkle Cadet wanted to know more about the gems as much as some of the kids at the creek but at the same time, she wants no part of Ruby and Aquamarine by avoiding them at all cost. “Steven.” She asked for Steven's attention. “By any chance, would you be willing to bring a few kids like us to go where your friends and family live?”
Steven bites his lip, knowing at least one kid in the creek would want to head to his old home. “Sorry, but no. It’s become a very private part of my life and calling them, I don’t think they’d approve of it.”
“Ahhh…” She lowered her head. “It would’ve been amazing to go there.”
“Sparkle Cadet, even if he’s willing to do it and from what he told me, everything there is in good shape, but he wants to move forward for himself.” This caused Craig to look away. “Even though we still need to fix my pink eye problems.”
“Maybe if he didn’t turn out the way he is, I’m sure he would’ve accepted your offer.” Omar said from behind. “But then again, we still saw what he almost did to Eliza soo…”
“Maybe it’s best we just have fun rather than thinking about the worst parts.” Kelsey responded.
“Yes.” Steven agreed.
“But I'm the champion of goodness and positivity.” Sparkle said.
“Sparkle Cadet, I like your style, but if you really want me to have positivity, let’s try to find something similar to that.”
“Which has nothing to do with the events from last night.” Craig filling in.
“If only we can find negativity to get positivity out of it.”
The group made their way to the biggest boulder of the creek. Craig and Steven spend most of their time hanging out with Sparkle Cadet, they didn’t bother to look into the map, nor pick which place they want to go next. Steven took notice of the boulder with a small entrance underneath. As for Craig, it was only a matter of time he’ll show Steven the only grown kids in the creek.
Upon stepping in front of the boulder from a distance, Steven turned to Craig. “What’s this place?” He pointed.
“Elder Rock.” Craig answered. “Me and my friends actually went here for Elder Con earlier this year. I was in a trivia game involving my favorite video game character, Slide The Ferret.”
“He also cosplayed the character.” Kelsey added. “But for a heads up, the Elders of the Creek…never shower or have even decent hygiene.”
“Especially when they spent most of their time there.” Omar replied.
Steven looked at Elder Rock itself. “It looks really…interesting to say the least. If I did go to school, I would get to meet these people, as long as they showered and at the very least brushed their teeth.”
“You'll be surprised.” Craig said. “You would meet them in high school.”
This caused Steven to look at Craig yet again. “You actually mean that?”
Inside the entrance, the leader of Elder Rock, saw Steven through the entrance. He didn’t miss the news involving what happened last night, in fact, he’s far more impressed to believe Steven himself.
“Yes, he actually meant it.” Omar added.
“These people are the only teenagers in the creek.” Craig filling in.
“So much weird stuff happens in the creek, but at least people are in the same grade as us.” J.P. replied.
“Why do I get the feeling these elders remind me of someone back at Beach City?” Steven placed his hands on his hips.
“There was someone back at your place who’s like the Elders of the Creek?”
“Is he worse than them?” Craig spoked.
Steven looked up at the sky while giving the kids his honest answer. “Let’s just say he doesn’t live under a boulder but…he takes any weirdness he finds seriously in his blogs online.”
Craig also placed his hands on his hips. “They also show…activity online but…not weirdness.”
The Elders came out from underneath the boulder, revealing themselves to Steven which took him by surprise. The outfits weren’t something the person back at Beach City would wear, but that’s because he never went to a convention involving teenagers, especially any teenager in high school.
The leader of the Elders, walked up to Steven, looking down in his childlike form with a smile on his face. The reflection from the sun towards his glasses went away the moment he took one more step, closer to Steven who took a step back after smelling his breath. “I knew you would inevitably come here.” He replied. “I’m Elder Mark.”
“I’m Elder Barry.” Barry standing next to Mark.
“And I’m Elder David.” David spoke on the other side.
“We’re the Elders of the Creek.” Mark presented him and his friends. “I’ve heard that you had a battle against…Bluebird right?”
“Yes? You knew that-”
“Ruby and Aquamarine were in a fusion? Yes!” Mark answered immediately.
“Oh boy.” Omar spoked quietly.
“We’ve been catching up on the details of their powers, the cause of the rain, and your shield!” Barry added.
“To think anime was all a lie, it turns out, all anime is real!” David commented.
“No, anime still doesn’t exist.” Steven slowly leaned back. “If you’re thinking of joining me in stopping them, you will definitely regret it, it’s never that easy.”
“Also.” Craig chiming in. “It wasn’t in this form, it was his regular form. His teenage form. Even through…” He closed his eyes. “He’s fourteen like this.”
“I don’t believe you.” Mark retorted. “If you think for a second we would regret joining his team, you wouldn’t even last three seconds in a battle with him.”
“Oh no.” Steven signed. “It’s all coming back now.”
“What do you mean?”
“Look, back at my old home, there was a guy named Ronaldo who joined my team…and he was bad.”
“How bad?” Sparkle Cadet asked.
“Arrogant, close minded, and lazy levels of bad.”
Mark didn’t like what he heard from Steven, in fact, it made him slightly furious on the inside. “Me and the Elders are none of those things. We practice all day from any fight or war that comes our way.”
“Oh like what war? The war of Capture the Flag where you three didn’t take part of our team?” Kelsey guessed.
“We were having our family reunions!” Mark retorted loudly.
“We couldn’t even use our technology when our parents took them away.” David added.
“They really wanted us to communicate with other family members, it was too awkward.” Barry added.
“I could think of more reasons of how awkward it would’ve been but I’m more convinced you wouldn’t contribute a lot.” Kelsey replied.
Steven couldn’t disagree with Craig’s friend, but as for the Elders of the Creek, he knows they won’t leave him alone just like Eliza from before. But then he remembered it almost turned into disaster, especially with Craig’s eyes turning pink at any time.
“Can we try to settle this with something?” Steven asked. “Elder Mark…can we make a deal?”
“What deal?” Mark paid attention.
“If you beat me in a battle, I’ll hang out with you and your friends for the rest of the day.”
“But what about Wildernessa’s-” Craig spoke, but he got cut off.
“I’ll skip it.” He then looked back at Elder Mark. “If you prove to me you can contribute in battle, then I’ll reconsider having you three on my side to defeat Bluebird.”
“So it’s a battle between the Elders against your team?” Mark liked the idea. “And what if we lose?”
“Not only will you leave me alone…but you’ll be like Ronaldo.”
This caused Mark to flinch his fist. “Fine! We’ll meet you on the battlefield momentarily. Elders! Let’s get our armor on and weapons equipped. Let’s show Steven Universe what warriors we are.” He and his friends enter back inside Elder Rock, while Craig and his friends stare at Steven.
“You seriously offered a battle against the Elders of the Creek!?” Kelsey reacted. “Even by yourself, you could put them in the hospital!”
“Don’t worry, I’m gonna go easy on them, but we’re still gonna win.” Steven replied.
“Who do you want on your team?” Omar asked.
“You two.” He pointed at Craig and Sparkle Cadet.
“Us?” Both Craig and Sparkle Cadet said.
“This will be something we can work together all the while pretending to save the galaxy.”
“Ohh, that’s right.” Sparkle Cadet catching on. “We should be called…Bubble Galaxy Trio.”
“That’s a great team name.” Craig agreed. “That would also mean me and you are part of two trios.”
“You two are also in another trio?” Steven blinked.
“Yes.” Sparkle answered. “With Cannonball, we were called The Ice Pop Trio. It was an unforgettable summer we had last year.”
“Man if only Cookie Cats were still a thing to this day, you would’ve been called the Cookie Cat Trio.”
“That is, if we actually like Cookie Cats.” Craig replied. “Just saying, we prefer ice pops.”
“Fair enough. I’m willing to stay as a kid a little longer to make it feel like we’re a trio of kids.”
“This is gonna be exciting!” J.P. cheered. “Bubble Galaxy Trio to victory!”
They head their way to the battlefield to prepare against the Elders of the Creek. Meanwhile, from the other side of the battlefield, Wildernessa, while still riding on Cheese Sticks, is looking for Steven after searching for animals who haven’t been trapped.
“Okay, today wasn’t the best day with no animals trapped, but I had no other choice.” She talked to Cheese Sticks. “All I’ve been thinking about is what he said about Lion…who we’re never gonna meet.” When she turned to her left, she saw Craig, Sparkle Cadet, and Steven, but in his younger form. “He didn’t tell me he had a younger brother. Where is he?” As she and Cheese Sticks watched them, the Elders of the Creek arrived with their weapons of swords from animes they watched along with the armor from their favorite heroes on their bodies.
They went into position, facing Steven, Craig and Sparkle Cadet from the other side of the battlefield. Elder Mark walked up to Steven, looking down with a serious look on his face while lifting his sword up. “This battle will end with one team victorious, while the other team falls from grace.” He replied. “Show me your weapon.”
Steven closed his eyes as his gem underneath glowed. While Barry and David were fazed, Mark on the other hand didn’t. Steven’s shield appeared on his arm, which catched Sparkle Cadet in bedazzle.
“Such sparkling powers!” She thought.
“A Shield.” Steven replied. “It’s the only weapon I always use in battle.”
“So you always defend yourself?” Mark replied. “I would’ve preferred something better than that.”
“I used to have allies who had a sword. That ally’s also my girlfriend.”
“Ehh!” Mark reforted. “Don’t make it too personal.”
“Says the guy who has crushes on multiple anime shows.” Craig replied.
“Not to mention making out with one of the body pillows with anime girls on it.” Kelsey added.
“Huge difference!” Mark pointed his sword at Craig’s friends. “Craig, Sparkle Cadet, show off your weapons.” Craig lifted up his wooden staff while Sparkle Cadet lifted up her bubble wand.
“While our leader will always be in defense in battle, I’m his offense buddy.” Craig replied.
“And I’m their power bubble magician.” Sparkle Cadet added. “Whenever they’re at a disadvantage, I’ll cue them with my bubbles.”
“I…seriously don’t see how that’s an advantage.” David commented.
“Not a problem with us.” Mark replied. “We'll make sure we watch your every move.”
Both Mark and Steven’s teams went back from separate sides of the battlefield. They went into battle position until Omar lifted his hand up, preparing the signal. As two teams paid attention to each other, Steven whispered into Craig and Sparkle Cadet’s ears, preparing the first offense.
“Battle commenced!” Omar called as the Elders ran to strike attack. But then Steven grabbed Craig and Sparkle’s hands, he jumped up in the air just before the Elders attacked.
“Wow!” Sparkle Cadet reacted as she saw the creek from above.
“I knew you were gonna do that!” Craig cheered.
“HEY, THAT’S CHEATING!” Mark yelled.
“Hey, you wanted to see my powers, and I’m showing them right now!” Steven smiled as he and his team landed on the ground.
Mark rushed to Steven, striking with his sword as Craig and Sparkle Cadet got out of the way to face the other elders. The moment he strikes, Steven protects himself with his shield. He uses his strength to push Mark back which only made him more tense. “I’ll let you know I can still beat you without any powers you have.”
“You don’t even know what it’s like being a Crystal Gem, Elder Mark.” He smirked. “I don’t blame you since my life wasn’t a cartoon, nor an anime, but you don’t have all the knowledge of who I am!”
Craig used his staff against Barry and David while Sparkle Cadet stood behind him. As David swung his sword, Craig pushed him back while dodging, rolling by him while bumping him off balance. He bumped into Barry which caused him to fall on the ground. Not only this caught the attention from Steven and Mark, but it impressed the Crystal Gem.
“He, at least, is catching on.” He pointed at Craig.
“Does he know how to do fusion?” Mark replied. “If you wanna know how I know about it, it's because fusion’s the only description of people combining together.”
Steven agreed with Mark but there’s a detail he’ll never understand. “Even if you knew what Fusion is about, you still don’t know what it’s like towards the person you’re close to that makes the Fusion work.” He made his way to Craig just when Barry got back up to strike along with David. He protected him with his shield while Sparkle Cadet blew bubbles from her wand, distracting Barry and David. He took Craig’s hand, pulling him away from the two.
Mark couldn’t catch on from what he heard as he focused back into battle. While the two teams continued to fight, J.P. Kelsey, and Omar watched from the sidelines. Wildernessa continued to watch, while still hiding in the distance. She was impressed with Craig’s offensive abilities and Steven’s jumping defense, but Steven has another trick to surprise everyone.
“Wow, even as a kid, Steven still knows how to fight.” Kelsey commented.
“Did we actually expect his team to lose?” Omar replied.
“No, but like he said, he’s going easy on them. It is kind of disappointing there’s no gem war going on. We would’ve seen what he’s really capable of.”
“He did say that one of his allies uses a sword.” J.P. added while still holding onto Steven’s shirt. “I bet his…Crystal Gem buddies are more capable than him, if we met them in person.” Then he felt Steven’s shirt pocket vibrating, he took out his phone and it’s revealed to be a message from his girlfriend. “Uhhh…should we call a time out?” He showed the message to his friends.
Kelsey and Omar read the message but it wasn’t a phone call request, in fact, it wasn’t even a voicemail being sent. “I don’t think so.” Omar replied.
“But someone will.” Kelsey added.
Back in the battlefield, Steven allowed Craig to jump onto his shield, lifting himself up in the air while hitting Mark with his staff, only for Mark to strike back with his sword. He landed on the ground, while rolling out of the way just when David’s about to strike with his sword. Sparkle Cadet went back to her team’s side of the battlefield just when Barry prepared for another attack, but he couldn’t keep up with the quickness.
“Okay, I’m sure they’re gonna end up victorious.” Barry said, taking deep breaths.
“This is not over yet!” Mark yelled. “You’re making a huge mistake if you win!”
“Elder Mark!” Steven called back. “I can prove to you right now that you would’ve been the one making a huge mistake.” With confidence in his voice, he took Craig’s hand, taking him by surprise as he’s preparing to show the Elders of the Creek everything they’ve thought about all day. “Me and Craig, despite some hiccups, can still do this all thanks to my gem.”
“Wait, you mean we’re gonna…” Craig turned to Steven as he witnessed his gem glowing. Then his eyes glowed pink but Steven knew it was gonna happen.
“Get ready.”
As the Elders were taking a back from Steven and Craig glowing up, they also witnessed a portal appearing from behind. Just when the two were close to fusing, Sparkle Cadet also took notice of the portal, she saw what’s inside and the moment an animal’s coming out, she pulled Steven and Craig out of the way, preventing the fusion from happening. The glow from Steven and Craig dissolved after getting interrupted, they both landed on the ground as the animal came out from the portal, along with Steven’s girlfriend.
“Incoming!” David called as he and the Elders jumped out of the way for the animal to land in the battlefield.
“Steven!” Connie called as she got off of Lion. “Steven!”
The moment Steven saw Connie in full view, he immediately changed back to his current form. “Connie?” He spoked while getting back on his feet. “Lion?”
Craig’s friends and the Elders couldn’t believe what they saw, but the person who’s more shocked was Wildernessa who witnessed Lion from her own eyes. Not to mention Cheese Sticks flinched the moment he saw a pink Lion in full view.
“Steven, what happened? Garnet called me and told me you needed support, so after finishing my college assignment, I had to get Lion to come over to Herkleton.” Connie replied with Lion by her side.
Steven had no words to describe the surprise that happened. Just when he’s preparing to fuse with Craig, he witnesses J.P. and the others walking up to him while showing him his phone. “She texted that she’s coming over.” J.P. replied.
“I’m just as speechless as you are.” Omar added.
“Another surprise, is this gonna be a thing with you from now on?” Kelsey wondered.
“At least it wasn’t severe.” Steven said, taking his coat and phone from J.P. “Connie, this may sound crazy, but you interrupted a battle that’s meant to be…”
When Connie turned around, she saw the Elders of the Creek getting back up while taking a back from Lion. “You mean…those guys?” She pointed. “They're not really enemies.”
“Meant to be for a deal that wasn’t that big.”
When Craig went back up on his feet, his pink eyes went away. He didn’t have the chance to see what was in front of him but he noticed Connie looking at him for the first time. Steven allowed Connie to walk up to him, meeting him who’s the source of her boyfriend's staying. “You must be Craig.”
“Yeah, didn’t expect to meet like this, not to mention me and Steven were about to…fuse.”
“Hello!? We’re in the middle of a battle!” Mark yelled only for Lion to roar at him and the Elders as they jumped back.
“Fuse?” Connie turned to Steven. “You were planning to fuse with him?”
“Yes but it was mostly for fun…if I had another way of resolving his pink eyes problem.” Steven being honest.
“Why couldn’t you tell him ahead of time?”
“I don’t know, I have little to fix the problem.”
“It is true.” Craig added. “What about the battle against the Elders of the Creek?”
When everyone turned to the Elders of the Creek, they refused to step foot in the battlefield in fear from Lion himself. “Elder Mark, I’m sorry this happened, but I wasn’t a kid fighting Bluebird, I’m seventeen years old right now.”
“What about the fusion you were planning all the while-” Barry asked only for Steven to cut him off.
“I didn’t plan for Connie and Lion to appear out here. When it comes to the fusion-”
“Stop.” Elder Mark interrupted. “Just stop! I may have never talked about the rules, but you seriously were way too unfair.”
“I was still taking it easy on you.”
“Trust me, you don’t want to make him mad.” Craig added.
“That wasn’t the point!” Mark retorted. “I didn’t want to see you and Craig fuse. The thought of that still makes me sick.”
Steven sighed, while trying to be nice towards the Elders. “Did you want me to fuse with you?”
“No!” Mark answered only for Steven and the others to give him glaring looks. “...Yes.”
“That would take days, possibly weeks of work and…connection.”
“Trust me, you and your friends are way out of his league.” Connie filled in.
Elder Mark sighed, admitting he can’t deny the facts against him. “Fine, your team wins, by way of forfeit. Good luck with your time here while it lasts. Let’s go back guys.” Mark left the battlefield to head back to Elder Rock. Before his friends followed him, they had one thing to say to Steven.
“We really didn’t expect much if we did win.” Barry replied.
“Besides, we wouldn’t stand against Bluebird knowing…” David added, trying to find the answer.
“Mark is way over his head?” Steven guessed.
“Yes.”
“Yep, he’s Ronaldo, but fully aware he’s a jerk.”
“You two really need to find better friends.” Connie commented.
“We’re still thinking about it, we’re really not enjoying being around Mark.” Barry finished as he and David followed Mark.
Steven took a deep breath after his girlfriend and pet came in the worst timing. “I have so much to fill you in on.”
“Don’t you think we should go somewhere less problematic?” Craig offered. “We can’t even catch a break with people here demanding something from you or panicking.”
“There has been a lot from that lately.” Kelsey added.
“And now we have to deal with a pink lion following us. We're drawing too much attention here. No offense.” Omar looked at Lion who groaned.
“This is just as important to me as much to all of you.” Connie replied. “Besides, it's been awhile since I last talked to Steven. Can we at least get to know each other?”
“Yeah, I would’ve wanted her to be here if I called her.” Steven replied while turning to Kelsey. “Not to mention, she’s a sword fighter.”
Kelsey’s eyes shot open as she took out her sword. “I volunteer to have Connie stay!”
“You'll get some sword lessons if we have time.”
“I’m starting to like these kids, especially that girl.” Connie pointed at Sparkle Cadet.
“Then I’m willing to spread more positivity.” Sparkle Cadet smiled. “I really like your lion.”
“If we’re gonna try to spread more positively, the most appropriate way is to check up on my sister who my brother’s unable to take care of.” Craig taking out his map.
“Let’s prevent negativity by heading there right away.” Steven replied.
“Agreed.” Craig took his group to their destination where his sister is at. Just when Lion left the battlefield, he turned around to see if anyone’s spying on him. Wildernessa and Cheese Sticks hid themselves, preventing any contact from Lion, but they couldn’t resist. They wanted to jump out but Lion barely knew the kids in the creek and could view anyone as an enemy. Luckily, Lion followed the group, not alerting them at all.
“Oh good.” Wildernessa sighed in relief. “Don’t worry, we’re gonna follow them. I wouldn’t miss the opportunity and I wouldn’t have you miss yours.” She and Cheese Sticks followed them while taking a different route in the creek, ready to meet the animal that helped Steven from his past. “It’s our first and probably only time we’re ever gonna see him in our lives.”

Canadian Freedom Or Hibernation Heartsick Chapter 4
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The following morning, Lucy, Clifford, and Kale picked up Panda after they picked up Kazumi and Tom. Amanda texted them that she has a surprise for what she’s bringing along for their trip to Canada. “I still can’t believe you haven’t been to her house yet.” Kale said, sitting on the front seat.
“Or met her parents yet.” Kazumi added.
“Well she never told me where she lived in San Francisco.” Panda replied, sitting in the back. “Her profile here felt like me and my brothers were, except she appeared less in San Francisco, only hanging out with me while mostly at my place.”
“She never told you where she lives?” Tom replied. “I did kidnap you, but I still showed you where I lived…up until I moved into Griff and Isaac’s place.”
“People don’t always stay in San Francisco, which is why she texted me her home address.” Lucy took out her phone. “When she moved along with her family, she moved to Sausalito.”
“Her friends told me about Amanda being at Sausalito after Christmas. It’s just me and my brothers who never had an interest in going there.”
“You’re in for a surprise.” Kale looked back. “Lucy and I went there and it’s amazing. You get a great view of San Francisco in the distance across the sea.”
“And the houses there are great.” Lucy added.
“I enjoyed the olives there. They were much fresher.” Clifford commented.
“Huh, it’s weird she never asked me to hang at her place when her parents aren’t there.” Panda said to himself.
“It’s probably because her parents love their new home deeply.” Kuzumi smiled. “Can’t wait to see what it looks like.”
Lucy drove through the buildings of Sausalito while paying attention to Amanda’s home address. She parked by the end of the road while the dock houses are located. Upon coming out, Panda followed Lucy, Clifford, and Kale from behind. He looked at the dock houses floating on the water, while Tom enjoyed the sight of the ocean. Mornings make Sausalito beautiful, especially when boats appear in the sea for more sightseeing. It wasn’t long until they arrived at Amanda's house, it was painted in pink, but wasn’t big like Chloe’s house. They slowly stepped on the front porch where the water lapped underneath.
When Panda looked at the house itself, he took a deep breath, knowing the moment inevitably had to arrive. “Well, there’s no going back now.” He pressed the doorbell, waiting along with his friends by his side. Soon, it was answered with Amanda’s dad revealing to Panda for the first time. He didn’t hesitate the moment he saw Amanda’s boyfriend after the pictures she took with him.
“Panda.” He responded. “It’s a pleasure to finally meet you.”
“Yeah, long overdue, but hello.” Panda lifted his hand up while Amanda’s father gave him a hand shake. He invited them inside as he closed the door behind Tom, while taking them to the living room.
“I’ve heard you are going to Canada…and my daughter wants to go.”
“It was technically Grizz’s idea when it came to our holiday last night.”
“We’re still making preparations.” Lucy added.
“I know how that felt when we made the choice to move here.” Amanda’s father commented. “Even if you are only taking a vacation up north, we had so many preparations on which place we should move to.”
“Must’ve been a rough time before moving here.” Clifford replied.
“There’s so many choices, but in the end, you can only pick one.”
Then Amanda’s mother entered the living room, taking notice of Panda himself. “Oh you’re finally here.” She smiled.
“Hi Amanda’s mom.”
“Amanda’s upstairs in case you’re wondering. She just finished breakfast.”
“Are you gonna be alright with Amanda leaving if we do go?”
“No, not at all. Amanda went on vacation on her own without us. She had a lot of fun activities.”
“What was her favorite place she wanted to go?” Kuzumi wondered.
“China.”
This caused the ramen chief to smile. “Oh, is it because there’s pandas over there?” She gently hit her elbow on Panda.
“We all know where pandas come from.” Panda smiled. “But to be realistic, she wouldn’t have met me since I’ve lived in San Francisco my whole life.”
“I’m sure she wouldn’t even get a boyfriend who’s willing to cross overseas just to be with her.” Amanda’s mom replied.
Panda knew it wasn’t a coincidence for Amanda to just accept to be his girlfriend, knowing that his brothers helped him out before heading to camp. “Should we meet your daughter now?” Kale asked.
“Of course, she’s outside, on the balcony from her room.” Amanda’s dad pointed upstairs.
“She has an outdoor balcony?” Tom replied.
“Dock houses here have balconies, just to have a clear view of the ocean. You couldn’t imagine how lucky we are just to have this place.”
“You all can meet her upstairs. She has a surprise for you.” Amanda’s mom said.
“Yeah, she texted me about it.” Lucy showed her phone to Amanda’s parents. “We should be on our way.”
Panda’s group wasted little time as they headed upstairs. Panda saw Amanda’s door open, all the while seeing her room for the first time. Tons of panda accessories all around the room didn’t even phase Panda. He knew she adores pandas the many times she hung out with him, even when their profile slowly became accepted thanks to society changing.
“Wow, talk about panda mania.” Kale wrapped his arm around Panda. “Imagine her being dressed up as a panda in Canada.”
“Everyone up north will definitely get the picture on who you and Amanda truly are.” Lucy added, while rubbing Panda’s head.
“That is if pandas actually live in Canada rather than China.”
“People in Canada still like Pandas, just like your girlfriend.” Kale replied.
Tom and Kuzumi’s attention were turned to the outside balcony where Amanda and Samantha are out; however, it wasn’t Amanda nor her friend themselves. “Uhh, Panda…” Tom getting his friend’s attention. “Look.”
Panda, Lucy, and Kale turned to the balcony which took them by notice. Clifford went past everyone to see the balcony himself, as he and the others saw two young kids playing with Amanda and Samantha. “Two kids.” He responded.
When they made their way out on the balcony, Amanda took notice as she stood up. “Panda.” She smiled while giving him a hug. Panda’s attention was still glued on the two kids, one of which looked at Clifford the moment he stepped outside. One is a boy and the other is a girl who both have the same hair color as Amanda.
“Amanda, who are these kids?” He replied as Amanda broke the hug.
“These kids are my younger brother and sister.” She answered as she pointed at them one by one. “My brother Chanda, my sister Tatiana.”
When Panda looked down at Amanda’s siblings, he always thought that Amanda was a single daughter in her family. “Was this the surprise you meant?”
“Yes. If we go to Canada, I want to bring my brother and sister along.”
“We heard so many cute things about you.” Tatiana smiled.
“That Christmas Eve when you and your brothers turned into cubs.” Chanda added. “I want to hang out with you.”
“Christmas miracles don’t always happen to everyone you know.” Amanda looked down on his brother.
“Besides, you haven’t even heard most of what happened on that day.” Samantha recalled. “You would probably want to hang out with Ice Bear for what he's been through.”
“I’m still having a hard time, a wish caused them to turn into cubs.” Kale commented.
“I’ve watched Grizz’s latest Crowbar Jones movie.” Lucy replied. “It didn’t fool me that Grizz was a cub in that.”
“Anyway…” Panda getting back on topic. “...so many cute things about me huh? Are you panda fans like…”
“They are.” Amanda giggled.
“Well…” Panda blushed.
“I’m sure they saw all the photos of you and your girlfriend.” Kuzumi replied. “Especially the ones from Valentine's Day.”
“You look so cute with the kiss marks on your face.” Tatiana said.
“Seriously, am I the only one who didn’t enjoy that?” Clifford replied.
“I mostly felt jealous the moment I saw it to be honest.” Tom added.
“I’m really looking forward to our trip to Canada.” Chanda replied. “I can’t wait for the adventure we’re gonna have there.”
Panda would want to be respectful towards Amanda’s siblings, but if there’s one thing he didn’t think about is what his adventure would be like with or without his girlfriend. “I would be happy to have you being part of the adventure but…aren’t you two a little concerned about the unexpected?”
“Relax Panda, nothing horrible is gonna happen.” Kale replied.
“Yeah, we’ve watched so many movies with tons of unexpected moments.” Tatiana commented.
“Do they have anything to do with Canada?”
“No.”
“Like, we can do anything fun there, it’s just the unexpected I’m referring to is Canada itself. Even if we’re gonna be away from anything bad happening to us, I just hope it’s something extraordinary.”
“It will be.” Samantha chimed in. “Not only am I coming too, but extraordinary is the point when it comes our way.”
“Yeah!” Chanda cheered. “I just know it!”
“Can we at least slow down on the fact we need to plan out the activities there?” Tom asked. “We are planning to bring tons of people but…the things we’re doing there is what we should be thinking about.”
“I’m gonna work on that with Grizz and Ice Bear later.” Panda replied as he turned back to Chanda and Tatiana. “As for you two, I have no problem giving Amanda’s brother and sister some anime fun.”
“Well this is gonna be weird knowing I’m not gonna be Panda’s only friend.” Clifford said which caused Tatiana to pull him, giving him a hug with Chanda also joining in.
“You're Amanda's brother and sister's new friend!” Tatiana replied.
“I’m gonna ask Ranger Tabes if she’s willing to add more kids in the Poppy Rangers.” Lucy leaned next to her boyfriend.
“Good luck seeing your brother having his own adventure then.” Kale giggled.
Kuzumi had a thought of her own when it came to Canada itself. “I mostly want to see how you and your brothers are doing since it has been a long time since we’ve met.”
“Yeah, you never told me how you and the others left her back from Japan.”
“We had to go somewhere, Japan just isn’t our place for a home.” Panda answered.
“It’s true.” Kuzumi filling in. “Karla and I wanted to be supportive since we agreed to spend more time with you. I also wanted to spread my ramen talents in different places in the world.”
“Don’t worry, we could stay in Canada longer. Like Tom said, we can plan out activities, you, Karla, me, and my brothers can do something when we get the chance.”
“I’ll look forward to that, especially Gayla who’s gonna take care of the passports today.”
“You will like her.”
When everyone made their settlements, they all took a group picture back in the living room with Amanda’s parents. From snaps from Panda and Amanda’s phones, they upload them on the internet which gained attention right away from their followers. It may be the beginning of preparations, but a slow process to keep everything on track. What matters to Panda is what he’s gonna have in store with Amanda, including her brother and sister.

Canadian Freedom Or Hibernation Heartsick Chapters 1-3
Tumblr media
Chapter 1 Grizz’s Solidarity Forthcoming
Panda and Ice Bear took Grizz to one spot of the San Francisco forest after he put on his blindfold from home. They’ve been hiding the surprise from his brother for days, preventing him from anywhere in the forest especially San Francisco ever since they released all the bears from Agent Trout. A lot has changed since bears were fully accepted in society and it wasn’t easy for them to set up the surprise for their brother.
“Are we almost there?” Grizz asked.
“Yes, just keep walking.” Panda smiled.
“Still can’t believe I haven’t spent days in the forest.”
“Trust us, it’ll be worth it.”
“Ice Bear doesn’t mess with surprises.” Ice Bear commented.
They made their way to their destination where a fire took place. In no time, Panda and Ice Bear stopped Grizz in place as Ice Bear untied the blindfold.
“SURPRISE!!!” Chloe, her parents, Darrell, his wife Sofia, Lucy, her brother and boyfriend Clifford and Kale, Ranger Tabes, The Poppy Rangers, Griff, Tom, Isaac, Amanda, Samantha, Kazumi, and Karla shouted, catching Grizz by surprise.
“Wow!” Grizz reacted.
“Happy Bear Solidarity Day!” Panda cheered as the bears, small and big, jumped out of the brushes. They walked up to Grizz and they roared softly, not loud to disturb him.
“Happy Bear Solidarity Day?”
“It’s a holiday Panda and Ice Bear made back in San Francisco a week ago.” Chloe smiled.
“They’re celebrating the holiday over there, but it’s way better doing it here.” Ranger Tabes added.
Grizz teared up from the sight itself. His friends, brothers, and bears are celebrating a holiday they earned. “This is awesome!”
“You bet!” Griff and Kale replied.
Grizz and his brothers sat down next to the fireplace while the other bears sat next to the other humans. “I never thought we would get our very own holiday!”
“Believe me, it wasn’t easy to make it a holiday.” Panda giggled.
“It’s a long story.” Lucy replied.
“I’m still surprised you managed to get a holiday thanks to a heroic rescue.” Karla commented. “I wasn’t there when you three came back.”
“Surprised you didn’t see it on TV.” Darrell turned to her. “Everyone saw it.”
“I was out of the city.”
“Ohh, that’s right.” Grizz remembered. “You took a trip to Los Angeles for a week.”
“It was the closest place I could take a vacation.”
This gave Grizz a thought when it came to him and his brothers escaping even if it was anything but a vacation. “If you had to escape a corrupt government agent, you would probably have to go far away from California.” Sofia added.
“The bears did tell me their story and about Agent Trout, it’s just it was my first vacation in almost a decade.”
“Not that we blame you, it’s Trout we’ve been worrying about.” Panda replied.
The bear cubs hid behind Amanda’s leg in fear, still remembering how intimidating Agent Trout was. The panda girl picked one of them up, hugging to give it comfort from fear. “We all have a lot to think about but all that matters is that he's arrested and he’s not gonna be released from jail anytime soon.” She nuzzled on the cub.
“I still can’t believe you almost went to Canada.” Clifford replied. “Even if it wasn’t by choice.”
Grizz did tell them why they couldn’t go to Canada, but he didn’t plan out what their new life would’ve been. He wasn’t sure if they were safe, but in the current duration, he and his brothers were far from harm. “I only glorified the idea of going to Canada with my brothers. But we never stepped foot in the land because we did not have passports.”
“Ice Bear never experienced Royal Canadian Mounted Police.” Ice Bear commented.
“Not to mention there’s more bears there from what I saw online.” Chloe replied.
This gave Karla a thought, knowing how Canada has a variety of bears in the high north. She sat by the bears, taking them by notice. “Do you want to go to Canada?” She asked. “Even after everything that happened?”
Grizz and his brothers looked at the bears all wanting to know their answer. “If we had passports…” Soon everyone paid attention to Grizz. “...we still don’t know what life is like there.”
“Life in Canada looks good from the outside.” Diaz replied. “On the inside…”
“It’s a wonderful world to explore.” Murphy added.
The Poppy Rangers loved the idea of going to Canada, but Ranger Tabes still feels unsure. “It is but do you know what adventure it would be like?” She pointed at the bears.
“That’s a great question.” Kale commented.
“You went through a lot.” Tom added. “Everywhere you go, something happens.”
“There’s no avoiding it.” Samantha added.
The bears remembered their journeys, endless and endless journeys even from their house alone. But in a new environment like Canada, they don’t even know what the unexpected would be like.
“I guess we could try giving it a shot but we still need time.” Grizz answered.
“Adventure or experience, we need to plan out before…obviously.” Panda still remembers the whole passport problem.
“Ice Bear qualifies blueprint odyssey.” Ice Bear spoked.
“That’s fine.” Lucy smiled. “Just remind us when you're ready.”
“We'll come if you do, even if it requires passports.” Griff replied.
“Isaac all the way.” Isaac added.
The bears and friends returned to their holiday as they ate marshmallows, heating them over the fireplace. Soon the other bears allowed The Poppy Rangers, Chloe, and Clifford to ride on their backs along with cubs in the front and back. Bear Solidarity Day put the bros back in the mood, hanging out with their friends and how the changed society improved their lives. When it comes to their plans, they get back to that when they head back to their home.
Chapter 2 Mom App In Motion
When everyone left the forest, the bears returned back to their home. When Charlie came over, Grizz, Panda, and Ice Bear sat together on their sofa, thinking about their plan after telling Charlie their time with their friends.
“Canada?” Charlie blinked. “You three want to go there?”
“Yes, but we still need to plan this out.” Panda answered. “Passports are the first goal.”
“And taking people along.” Grizz remembered. “We really need to work out some of their schedules.”
Ice Bear knew he would take Chloe along, but there’s one person he wanted to bring, knowing it’ll take weeks until he reunites with her. He made a promise to himself to show her to his brothers but he didn’t know when the time was right.
“Ice Bear?” Grizz taped on Ice Bear’s shoulder. “Thinking of someone to bring along?”
Ice Bear nodded. “Ice Bear will show you tonight.”
Charlie crossed his arms, while looking at the ground. He wanted to come along, but at the same time, he still hasn’t got over his fear of being around humans. “Aren’t you gonna miss me if you do go?”
“Charlie, even if you do come along, you haven’t met all of our friends.” Grizz spoked.
“I was with a few of them when you came back.”
“Yeah up until you headed back to the forest.” Panda recalled.
“I didn’t have anything to do, even when you’re accepted in society, I just wanted to keep my distance from humans. I can’t let go of my fear.”
The bears wanted to help Charlie, but they’re aware how sensitive he is. Aside from Ranger Tabes, they still feel unsure about helping him meet their friends one by one. “We will miss you.” Grizz replied.
“Sorry bears, if only I can figure out a way to work out my problem.”
“It’s not like you couldn’t control your fear.” Panda replied. “I had fears I couldn’t let go.” As they got back to their Canada plan, there was only one way to resolve their passport problem. “Do you think we need someone to help us?”
“What do you mean?” Grizz asked.
“Like having someone to help out with the passports? Not to mention getting us in Canada? Our friends may be willing to come but if they can’t get their own passports on their own, we won’t be able to have our Canada adventure.”
“Ice Bear can’t get through the massive barrier.” Ice Bear commented.
Grizz couldn’t disagree. After the journey he and his brothers went through after being forced to leave San Francisco, they didn’t want the same set back to ruin everything all over again. Then an idea came to Grizz. “Panda, do you still have that Mom App?”
Panda blinked from the idea, he took out his phone while looking at the apps until the one his brother just mentioned. “Yes.” He responded. “I forgot to delete it.”
Grizz took the phone from Panda while pressing the Mom App. “We picked three moms while having one mom…get punished since we couldn’t cancel her.”
“You couldn’t cancel her?” Charlie asked.
“We called her mother, but it had nothing to do with cancel culture.” Panda answered.
When Grizz looked through the section of moms up until the one he picked last time. “This could work.” Grizz showing his brothers a picture of Gayle. “She could take care of not only our passports, but some of our friends too.”
“Wait, should we think about this? You know she embarrassed us and she’ll have to come with us.”
“It’ll be the only way to get to Canada. We can at least reason with her, she can be more than a mom.”
Panda and Ice Bear wanted to believe him, but they wished there’s another way. If they had the choice of picking a different mom, they would get themselves into the same predicament as before. But they agree that out of the three moms they picked, Gayle was the best.
“Okay, but there’s no going back.” Panda sighed.
“Ice Bear prays he doesn’t take violin lessons.” Ice Bear said, taking the risk.
“Charlie, you need to leave right now, the moment we press the button, she’ll be right at the front door.” Grizz pointed at the door.
“Okay.” Charlie makes his way to the back door of the house. “Good luck with your trip to Canada.”
“We'll find something to give you when we get back.”
Charlie felt a little better from their gesture before he headed out, finding a different route to prevent getting attention. Grizz pressed the button on the phone and in no time, Gayle knocked on their door. Like before, they walked up to the door as Grizz opened it, revealing Gayle.
“Oh it's you boys again.” She cheered. “Let’s throw a party to celebrate-”
“No! No! No! No!” Both Grizz and Panda shouted.
Ice Bear pulled Gayle inside while closing the door, placing her on the sofa. “Whoa! Then we can play party video games!”
“Maybe later, but please don’t do anything!” Grizz walked in front of Gayle.
“We support your supportiveness, but do it when we need it.” Panda added. “Even though…that’s not why we wanted you.”
Gayle felt confused after listening to the honesty from the bears. “Then what do you really want from me?”
Grizz sighed while telling the truth. “We want you to help us and our friends…to get passports to Canada.”
Gayle remained silent from the answer she received. She wasn’t happy, but she wasn’t mad either. All she wanted to do is support her boys with her part of the family, while in actuality, she’s only part of an app for services. “Do you love your mom?”
The bears looked at each other, not wanting to hurt her feelings. “Yes.”
“We’re doing activities in Canada. If you help us, we'll do anything to prove to you we love you.” Panda replied.
“Ice Bear won’t keep moms in the dark.” Ice Bear said.
“Well it’s not that I don’t like Canada, it’s just doing passports is the last thing I would want to do.” Gayle speaking honestly. “What kind of trip would it be like in Canada?”
“It’ll…be an adventure!” Grizz coming up for the solution. “We’re maybe separated in groups, but you will have a great adventure.”
“You can hang out with our friends. They’re really fun to be around.” Panda said.
Gayle found the idea appealing, especially with the surprises coming her way. Even a mother who takes their pride seriously, it still wouldn’t hurt to make friends if she helps coming along. She got up from the sofa, walked towards the bears while giving them a big hug.
“I love seeing my boys have their adventures!” She cheered. “Even if I’m not gonna be around for all of you three, you can still tell me everything that happened.”
“So you’re gonna help us with the passports?” Grizz wondered.
“You bet I am!”
“Great, we’re sending you to Ranger Tabes and The Poppy Rangers to help them out, after we play party video games!”
“Oh!”
As Grizz turned on his video game system, he gave Gayle her controller and so did Panda. Just when he’s about to give Ice Bear his controller, he made his way to the kitchen. “Ice Bear, it won’t be family without you.”
Ice Bear turned around before heading into the kitchen. “Ice Bear needs an important item before Ice Bear forgets.”
“Oh that’s right, we don’t want to leave a single friend out from the adventure.”
“We’re waiting for y'all.” Panda added.
Ice Bear entered the kitchen while opening the refrigerator. He’s thankful Grizz and Panda didn’t find out soon but his time ran out when the unexpected happened. He took out the necklace, from someone who they forgot to bring, and Ice Bear kept it to himself since. He however doesn’t know if Grizz and Panda will catch on if they meet the person, especially Chloe, who he wanted to tell her about it. He’s lucky enough to get the person’s phone number the last time he crossed paths, but he’s unsure if the person’s willing to accept the trip to Canada.
Chapter 3 Icy B’s Undercover Ally
Later in the night, Ice Bear took Grizz, Panda, Isaac and Chloe to the destination he usually goes during nighttime. Unlike him and Isaac, Grizz, Panda, and Chloe were too tired, planning to go to sleep. They never bothered Ice Bear’s daily nights out, but they were never those types. When they tried to follow him, they couldn’t keep up with Ice Bear riding on Roomba.
“Icy B.” Grizz yarned. “I appreciate you getting your closest friend to come along, but is it really necessary to do it this late?”
Ice Bear turned around while maintaining his balance on Roomba. “Yes.” He responded.
“I have to go to bed, Ice Bear.” Chloe trying to keep her eyes open. “I also need to work out my problem of heading to Canada too.”
“We still have time, but can we not do this at night? Panda added.
Ice Bear and his group entered the hidden ally only he went to from time to time. He got off Roomba as he knocked on the door but no one responded like last time. He expected the bouncer to answer but after ten seconds, it felt like he wasn’t by the door.
“Hm!” Ice Bear reacted.
“Isaac senses no one’s taking the job as bouncer.” Isaac commented.
Ice Bear looked at the door while eavesdropping on it. He didn’t hear everything from the other side, as if no one’s inside. Then he decided to push the door as it opened, learning it was unlocked the whole time. They all entered inside with all the lights off. Ice Bear clapped twice to have Roomba turn on its flashlight capability.
“I don’t think anyone’s here.” Chloe looked around.
“Are those computers?” Panda pointed.
“And a coffee bar?” Grizz added.
Ice Bear went to the electric switches, turned off when the employees usually keep them on. He turned them on as the red leon lights of the word Coffee lit up. The green lights turned on around the bar, while the computers slowly turned on, taking everyone by surprise.
“So what is the person you wanted us to meet?” Grizz asked.
“Yana.” He responded.
“Who’s Yana?” Panda asked.
Ice Bear then opened the necklace, showing his bros and friends the picture of her and their parents. He pointed at her underneath, her father as they looked at her closely. “How old is that picture?” Chloe asked.
“Twenty years old.” Ice Bear answered.
“Really? How do you know what she looks like now?”
Then they heard the door being pushed open, taking their attention and so did Ice Bear as he closed the necklace. When she saw Ice Bear in person, she wasn’t fazed at all, especially his group with two bears. “Ice Bear never forgets human faces.”
Isaac took notice from the lady with purple highlights in her black hair with a tattoo on her arm. When she walked up to the group, she looked down at Chloe, taking her by surprise. “You must be Yana right?” She backed away a little.
“You catch on quick from him, huh?” Yana smirked.
Ice Bear then walked up to her while handing her the necklace. “Ice Bear kept personal belongings.”
“You had my necklace this whole time?” She took her necklace from him. “I thought I lost it.” She opened it, and witnessed her photo of two parents.
“Wow, an undercover dude.” Grizz commented. “That’s an interesting friend you have, Icy B.”
Ice Bear didn’t want to retort to his brother, but he knew he won’t get the real truth from what his night outs are like. “Ice Bear, brothers, and friends are going to Canada. Ice Bear wants to know if you want to come.” He offered.
“Canada?” Yana responded. “Seems an odd place to go after the many places we went.”
“You went to different places?” Chloe took notice.
“Yes. Places all over the globe, Tokyo, just to name one of them.”
“Tokyo!?” Panda reacted. “Why didn’t you tell us Ice Bear!?”
“Okay, let’s not get over our heads.” Grizz pulling Panda away. “But still, you didn’t tell us about this?”
“Ice Bear wants to be a solo adventurer.” Ice Bear responded.
“Isaac was overthrown by a world traveling bear.” Issac replied.
Yana laughed from Ice Bear’s bros. “I have to say your bros are kind of funny. Not to mention your friend there seems to qualify for missions.” She stared at Isaac. “As for your offer, I’ll take it. Besides from how our troubles got last time, it’s better to go somewhere that isn’t a deathtrap.”
This caused Ice Bear to place his paws on his face, causing his brothers to take notice. “On second thought, it’s better if you never told us what you’ve been doing over night.” Panda awkwardly grinned.
“Why is this coffee place closed with the door unlocked?” Grizz asked.
“I had to quit my job and the people who used to work here abandoned this place due to…Barry finding out where I work.” Yana sighed. “Granted I wish he and his goons would leave me alone, but I knew it would just get uglier.”
“Just hearing the name Barry is someone I really don’t want to meet, just like how I met Agent Trout.” Chloe commented which caused Yana to lean down.
“I’ve heard of him and I saw Ice Bear on TV when I was at a bar. Haven’t heard of him since you came back.” She looked up at Ice Bear while back at Chloe. “If you saw me and him together, we would make an unstoppable team.”
Chloe looked back to Ice Bear, from time to time, they’ve done so much together but when it comes to missions, she looked at Roomba. She wished she experienced what Ice Bear accomplished, but living on the verge of danger is the last thing she wanted. But her attention was turned to Yana’s necklace, remembering her parents. “Do you remember the last time you met your parents?”
“Not much, life was different when I was with them and it changed when I came here.”
“It’s sad that your mom and dad aren’t gonna be in Canada.” Grizz spoked. “I believe it would make your time there.”
“It’s not like I was expecting more. If there's a will there’s a way of getting away from Barry.”
When Ice Bear looked at Roomba, he planned on bringing it along, but was having second thoughts. If Barry is still in San Francisco, he could find his home and rob it. But if he does bring it, he could encounter him with him being a step ahead of him. However with Yana by his side, she’s right about him and her being an unstoppable team. And with Isaac by his side, he has no problem telling him everything.
“Ice Bear makes sure our trip is harm free.” He responded.
“I’ll pack up and I’ll come when you’re ready.” Yana smiled. Just when she’s about to head out, she turned around. “By the way, I found your little kid my favorite.” As she headed out, it caused Chloe to smile a bit.
“Looks like I’m gonna be making a friend in Canada.” Chloe replied. “If I can still resolve to go to Canada.”
“We’re still working it out.” Grizz looked at Chloe. “Do you need to convince your college principals your trip to Canada is important?”
“They wanted me to do research in Canada, but I turned it down. Too much work for me to handle nor have fun.”
“You could write a story about your experiences in Canada.”
“Yeah, it’s still an adventure and it’s also your adventure.” Panda added.
“Ice Bear’s happy to read Chloe’s Canada adventure.” Ice Bear replied.
“Okay, I’ll tell them that.” Chloe smiled. “That’s something I would have fun to do.”
“I do want you to meet someone tomorrow. Ranger Tabes, Griff, and Karla are gonna come also. If he wants to come, that is.” Grizz placed his paws on his body. “I still can’t believe you haven’t heard of him yet.”
“Isaac is aware of celebrity animals, but never knew them personally.” Isaac commented.
“I can tell he won’t like Ranger Tabes at all.”
“I’m still looking forward to meeting him. Especially since I might make a friend with someone we just met.” Chloe said.
“Trust us, he’s not gonna be like Yana.” Panda replied. “Anyway, we should head home. Me, Lucy, Clifford, Kale, Kazumi, and Tom are gonna go to Amanda’s house first thing in the morning.”
The Bears and two humans left the coffee building as Ice Bear took Chloe home, the same way he did after the camping day he had not too long ago. The moment he arrives in Canada with Yana by his side, he’ll be prepared if any foe similar to Barry or Trout gets in his way.

Steven Universe Of The Creek Chapter 19 Perilous Sewage To Lazurite Sewage
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Steven placed both of his hands on Craig’s head, looking straight into his eyes. He spent the last two minutes trying to see his eyes turn pink again, after the incident from the Tea Timers’ Club. Luckily, Craig’s eyes did turn pink, catching Steven by surprise along with the others.
“They’ve turned pink again.” Kelsey reacted.
“Okay, just don’t move.” Steven responded. In Craig’s vision, he saw Steven as a monster again. However it felt like he was talking to him, despite what the Crystal Gems did back then. “It had to be my saliva going through his ear.”
“It all makes sense now.” Craig replied.
“Did you give him that when you were at his grandparents house?” Omar asked.
“Yes but I wasn’t in a good mood when he showed me his gem two nights ago.”
As Steven let go of Craig, his pink eyes went away, returning back to normal. “I didn’t think my saliva could affect someone like that. It’s gonna be permanent since it happened to Connie when I helped her with her eyes.” This caused Steven to cross his arms. “There isn’t much more I can do to help.”
Just before Steven looked into his eyes, Craig put on his water shoes with him officially picking the location for Steven. “The good thing is, it’s only happening in my mind and not out in the open.” Craig replied. “But you're right, we have to do something to get rid of it.”
“As if calling Garnet wasn’t enough.”
“I was thinking of how cool it is to have pink eyes but…you won’t see things the same way after drinking pink lemonade.” J.P. commented.
“If you actually drink the straw that I used so…it’s not the lemonade itself.”
“We can figure this out later before it’s too late.” Craig turned around to show Steven the next destination of their activity. “Welcome…to the sewers.” He pointed at the sewers. “This is where the Sewer Queen’s at.”
This caused Steven to smile a bit. “I actually saw her when she and other kids headed to the creek when Bernard gave me a tour in the neighborhood.”
“Not to mention she was with us when…the whole battle you had happened.” Kelsey added.
“I didn’t forget but…it’s still awkward there’s a sewer queen…in the sewers.” Steven looked at the sewer itself.
“It’s just a visit, we won’t do anything inside.” Craig jumped in the river. As his friends also jumped in, Steven slowly stepped into the water. As they walked up to the sewer itself, the pink and blue noodle guards came out like they always do, but with the events that occurred last night, it affected everyone in the sewers more than what Craig, Steven and his friends thinked.
“The sewers are on lockdown at the moment.” The pink noodle guard explained.
“On lockdown?” Craig wondered.
“Shouldn’t there be caution tape if it’s on lockdown?” Omar added.
“It has nothing to do with the water.” The blue noodle guard then walked up to Omar straight in the eye. “It’s what Bluebird can do with the water.”
This caused Steven to catch on, knowing that Aquamarine is dangerous in her fusion with Ruby. “Is it okay if we can go inside? We could work this out.” Steven offered.
“The Sewer Queen did want to meet you after last night’s events.” The pink noodle guard replied. “Luckily enough, the sewer kids don’t view you as the enemy.”
“That’s a relief.”
“But for Bluebird…it may make them scared.” The noodle guards invite them inside the sewer.
When they entered the main area while the throne of the Sewer Queen took place, the sewer kids all over the place were panicking. Craig and Steven saw drawings of Bluebird hanging on the wall, with the kids trying to understand what she can do with her powers, despite not witnessing what The Sewer Queen saw.
The Sewer Queen didn’t sit on her throne due to the sewer kids screaming without fun in their systems. “Craig.” She smiled while noticing Steven. “I’m thankful you’re here. Everyone here has been freaking out after I told them about Bluebird.”
“Yeah, I knew something like this would happen.” Craig said. “I just didn’t think a lockdown would take place.”
“I had no other way to calm everyone down. They refused to leave with a couple going through the pipes for more protection.”
“It seems it may cause a possible war in the eyes of the sewer kids.” Kelsey commented.
“I’ve been telling them there’s no war, but I don’t even know if I’m right.” Scuba chiming in with Frisboy by his side.
“They’re afraid that one flying water…thing could overcome us all.” Frisboy added. “By using water against us.”
“I like the water the way it is here. She would turn the water into something scary!”
Steven tried to respect the sewer kids in their way of having fun, but with his experiences of fighting Bluebird from last night isn’t anything of what they think. However, it did give him an idea to calm them down, even if it’s by telling the truth about Bluebird.
“Sewer Queen.” Steven walked up to the queen and sewer kids. “Allow me to handle the situation. It won’t be much, but it will stop the lockdown.”
The Sewer Queen gave him a chance with a small suggestion. She whispered into Steven’s ear, with him accepting her suggestion as it will show the sewer kids how safe they are. Steven climbed the throne while jumping over the fence where the entrance with two pipes on both sides are at. While looking down on the sewer kids, The Sewer Queen whistled with her hand through her mouth, catching the attention of the sewer kids.
“Everyone, calm down.” She spoked. “I know my story caused a distress signal, but I didn't mean it in that way.” She then pointed at Steven as it caught the attention from the sewer kids. “I want you all to welcome Steven Universe, the warrior who fought Bluebird.”
The Sewer Kids felt relief as they paid attention to Steven. “Thank you Sewer Queen.” Steven smiled. “Now to make this clear about Bluebird, she doesn’t control the water. Including…the sewer water.” He looked at the sewer pipes. “And trust me, I doubt she would ever come here to harm all of you.”
The Sewer Kids slowly smiled after the word came out. He then lifted his shirt up to reveal his gem to everyone. “I don’t control the water, but my powers are still worth protecting the people when needed.” He activated his powers to form a bubble with him inside. “Including me.”
“Wow.” Scuba responded.
“Not what I expected, but protection is important.” The Sewer Queen added.
Steven let go of his powers to get back on topic. “I’m a Crystal Gem along with my friends and family who are Crystal Gems.” Steven went through his pocket to take out his phone. When he reached the photo he’s looking for, he looked at Craig. “Craig! Heads up!” He threw his phone as Craig grabbed it in time.
“Got it!” He raised Steven’s phone up.
“Perfect!” J.P. smiled.
“Show it to the Sewer Kids.” Steven called.
Craig went to the sewers by each pipe and showed them the picture of the Crystal Gem who’s blue. “Her name is Lapis Lazuli.” Steven called. “She actually controls the water, more powerful than you think, but she isn’t like Bluebird.” When Craig showed the picture to more of the sewer kids, Steven continued his speech. “She was mean years ago, but let’s just say she wouldn’t use her powers in a way Bluebird would do.” He then took notice of one of the sewer kids raising their hand. “Yes?”
“If she enjoyed herself in the sewers, do you think she would spend her time with us?” A young girl asked.
Steven wanted to tell the truth but he doesn’t want to hurt the Sewer Kids feelings. “Yes…but she would like it better if we’re all at a river in the creek, or a waterfall of some sort.”
“She likes the outdoors more than the indoors.” Craig filling in.
“Okay.” The Sewer Queen walked up to Craig, looking at the photo itself. “If she ever comes here, we could play a water gun war with her.”
“Trust me.” Steven making an awkward smile. “If she was on her own and playing hard ball, she would come out victorious in less than ten seconds.”
“I would definitely forfeit the moment I saw her powers.” Frisboy commented.
“Nobody can blame you.” Omar replied.
As the Sewer Kids panic mode went down, it pleased the Sewer Queen. She climbed up her throne, sitting down to give the kids her announcement. “Now since that everything is in order thanks to the Bluebird warrior Steven.”
“I would prefer Crystal Gem, but warrior still makes sense.” Steven scratched on the back of his head.
“And so, the lockdown has been lifted!”
The Sewer Kids cheered as The Sewer Queen lifted her pool skimmer net in the air. Just when Craig and his friends cheered, Craig’s eyes turned pink again only this time, she saw the Sewer Queen as Lapis Lazuli, even with the wings. He also witnessed the net being the mirror with Lapis’s gem on the back. Unlike the last time, this wasn’t severe, in fact, he was surprised to witness the Sewer Kids as other Lapises with different hairstyles.
The Sewer Queen got off her throne while walking up to Craig. “I wanted to thank your friend Steven for helping out with my problem.” When she got close to him, Craig looked up in the air, as Lapis looked down in his vision. “Umm…Craig, I’m in front of you?” He did look down but only her net, as he saw his reflection from the mirror.
Steven immediately took notice as he went over the fence and landed on the ground. “I’m so sorry, it mostly happens when I’m around him.” Steven walked next to The Sewer Queen.
“Did you give him eye drops…” She looked at Craig’s eyes. “That made him go blind?”
“Yes.” Kelsey smiled.
“Trust me, if there’s one thing Steven’s bad at is making eye drops of his own.” J.P. wrapping her arm around Craig.
“...Yeah, I didn’t have the best talent of helping people’s eyes.” Steven responded. “But to be fair, it worked only once...on my girlfriend.”
“Okay.” The Sewer Queen smiled. “I just hope it’ll go away.”
“We all can hope.”
Craig and his friends left the sewers as it returned to its normal state. The Sewer Queen offered to give Steven a reward, but she decided to make one before he leaves. As they got out of the sewers, Craig’s pink eyes went away. “What did you see?” Omar asked.
“I saw The Sewer Queen as Lapis Lazuli and she was holding a mirror.” Craig answered.
“Ahh the time I freed her from that.” Steven remembered. “Was there anything else?”
“The Sewer Kids were also like The Sewer Queen, but nothing seriously bad. I don’t even think I can take a break without my eyes turning pink.”
“Hey, look on the bright side.” Steven placed his hand on Craig’s shoulder. “I’m not leaving until you’re back to normal otherwise, you would have those pink eyes forever.”
“Finding the way to get rid of it is what I’m worrying about.”
Then bubbles appeared out of nowhere, catching everyone’s attention. She appeared on the left by the river, as she lifted her pink bubble wand. “I am the champion of feeling and positivity. Foe of bad vibes throughout the galaxy. I am Sparkle Cadet!” She poses with more bubbles coming out of her wand. “And nobody can dull my sparkle.”
When Steven and Craig looked at Sparkle Cadet, they both smiled from her performance. Which gave them the same and right idea. “You thinking what I’m thinking?” Craig turned to Steven.
“Yes.” He responded. “She’s gonna have another hero by her side, saving the galaxy.”

The drone landed on the driveway in front of the garage. Xavier came out to pick up his drone while coming back to his house. He spent most of the day inside his bedroom, controlling his drone thanks to his remote control, which still maintained a wireless signal even over long distances and behind closed doors. He headed back inside his bedroom where Aquamarine and Ruby had been staying inside since meeting Xavier last night.
“It’s about time you finally got some evidence.” Aquamarine sitting on the bean bag.
“We’ve been waiting all morning.” Ruby added.
“Oh don’t you worry, you should’ve seen what I captured.” Xavier placed his drone by his computers while taking the memory card out of it. Aquamarine flew out of her bean bag with Ruby heading next to Xavier.
“Xavier…” Aquamarine trying to remember the former king’s name. “We heard everything about you last night, but you have no idea who you're dealing with.”
“We can handle that Craig brat, but Steven is a whole level of unstoppable.” Ruby added.
“I recorded him last night for a reason.” Xavier said, setting up his video player on his computer. “Yesterday, I witnessed a damaged indoor apartment in the neighborhood to which I have proof.” He pulls out the photo, showing the two gems inside of an apartment destroyed, despite the building staying intact.
“This has Steven all over it.” Ruby crossed her arms. “And that Craig kid has something to do with it.”
“From the way he’s hanging out with Steven, he could be a trap.” Aquamarine added.
“Ohh trust me, from what I saw, he’ll be more of a trap.” When Xavier played the video of Steven and Craig racing against the 10 Speeds, Aquamarine and Ruby witnessed Craig’s pink eyes in a brief second.
“Oh my stars.”
“He looks creepy with those pink eyes.” Ruby cringed. “Steven seriously did something sick to him.”
“The moment I saw that, I’m eager to know more about this Steven dude.” Xavier smirked. “Especially when he turned into a kid while carrying Craig.” He then played another video showing Steven lifting Craig up in the air while landing on his shoulders. The drone was farther away from Horse Girl Meadow with the location being an open field. He was lucky enough that no one spotted him, but it was still a risky tactic.
“He has shapeshifting powers, one of his Crystal Gems friends do it all the time.” Aquamarine flying close to the screen. “When he was small, Steven saved the galaxy two years before he left his home.”
Xavier looked closely to Steven with Craig on his back while on the edge of the cliff. He believed what Aquamarine said, he didn’t want to drop his chance if Steven could follow up on his plan if he met him face to face. “I’ve got to find where he lives if he has all of these powers.”
“Good luck because even if you found out, he actually lives far away from here.” Ruby added. “He lives in Beach City where the Crystal Gems are still at.”
“The only way to get there in the fastest way is to use his Lion when he goes through a portal.” Aquamarine replied. “And it’s not the lions from the zoo, it’s a pink lion.”
“No need to explain, we’re not gonna get to Steven just yet.” Xavier then pulled out the video of Steven preparing to punch Eliza with Craig and his friends stopping him. “The only way we’re gonna get the information of the destination he left is to form a strategy. I’m sure Craig did tell him who I am.”
“But he never saw your face right?”
“You have that outfit right?” Ruby pointed at his mask and red poncho displayed by the door.
“He can still be suspicious, and don’t forget about Craig.” Xavier and the gems saw Steven hugging Craig with a tear coming down his face. “If he went though the impossible by saving lives all over the galaxy, his family has to be more valuable to him than anything else.”
“Even if we can’t stand him, we can’t deny his family won’t approve of a stranger like you if they find out immediately.”
“And if you say you couldn’t stand the creek after you lost half of it, you wouldn’t even qualify as a student in Little Homeworld.” Aquamarine replied. “This is gonna be impossible for us.”
Just when Xavier, Aquamarine, and Ruby try to think of a plan, his brother and sister just come inside from the front door of the house. “Xavi!” She called. “We’re back!”
“Oh great, you two, hide in the closet!” He pointed at his closet while turning off his computers. The two gems took Xavier’s order as they rushed to his closet. Xavier slid his closet door just the moment his brother and sister came in. “Hey Kenneth and Cheyenne.” He turned to them.
“What have you been doing? Playing more video games?” Kenneth wondered.
“Yes, It’s the only thing I've done ever since I lost my reign as king.”
This caused Kenneth to sigh. “Xavier, can you please drop that already?”
“Look I was upset I had to drop my reign as ruler when I got older but seriously, you don’t expect older people to be a ruler at the creek.” Cheyenne added. “Which is why I’ve spent time hanging out with my friends at school.”
“I don’t have any friends.” Xavier sitting on his bean bag. “I used to have one, but now she’s not ever since Capture The Flag was over.”
Kenneth didn’t forget the last time his brother’s only friend came over last week for pizza night. She didn’t even talk to him and only appeared just for the pizza. During that time, his brother wanted her to make the move rather than him, but it proved to him he hasn’t let go of Capture The Flag despite losing fair and square.
“If you can’t get your friend back, just find a different friend. It’s not that hard.” Kenneth offered.
“Oh like what, the kids at the creek who refuse to be my friend after I almost bossed them around?” Xavier said sarcastically.
“Look I haven’t been to the creek in a long time, if it has something to do with your power, that’s on you.” Cheyenne added. “You should at least be thankful I handed you the throne in the first place.”
“And another thing, if the creek is getting better, try some nuance to be a better person to get new friends.” Kenneth replied. “Now please, tonight we’re gonna see a music concert so afterwards, take my advice soon and try.”
Xavier lowered his head after thinking about his brother’s advice, but it only showed how unwilling he is. “Just as I thought.” Cheyenne rolled her eyes. “Let’s just go Kenneth.”
“There’s got to be something to work out.”
“Let him play more of his video games if that’s all he needs.”
Kenneth followed his sister after she left his brother’s bedroom. He wanted to help his brother, but his refusal made him disappointed, as if taking him to the concert tonight wouldn’t make a difference. The moment he closed the door, he got back up while opening his closest door, releasing Aquamarine and Ruby out in the open.
“It looks like your family is anything but loving.” Ruby replied.
“Expect my brother Kenneth.” Xavier turned his computers back on. “He tells me what’s right and wrong, I always end up doing the right thing just to make him proud. And now,” He sat down on his bean bag again. “I have to make a new friend at the creek, which is the last thing I’m willing to do.”
“Ughh!!” Ruby retorted. “Your brother’s just like Steven if I actually saw what he looks like.”
“Ruby!” He shouted back only to cover his mouth, making sure his siblings didn’t hear him. “I still love my brother and sister to no end.”
“You should know we’re disgusted with love, that’s who Steven is.” Aquamarine flew next to Xavier.
“Do either of you have brothers or sisters?”
“No.” Both Aquamarine and Ruby replied.
“Mothers or fathers?”
“No.”
Xavier became speechless learning that gems didn’t have families of their own. It only made him question the origins of Steven from the moment he almost punched Eliza. “What kind of blood does Steven have if he’s part gem?”
“He still eats, showers, and acts like a human, the only difference you need to learn is that his gem is what forms his powers.” Aquamarine informed. “If you push his limit of being in rage, you would’ve ended up in the hospital forever, unlike that pink lady who was luckily spared.”
“I’m not stupid okay!” He reacted. “I’m trying to rethink our plan, it’s just most of Craig’s friends saw you two and they’re spreading the information all over the creek.”
Little did they know, someone opened the bedroom door after she arrived the moment Xavier’s siblings invited her in. She couldn’t believe she saw a gem flying in the air, all the while a red gem sits next to her former friend. “Uhhh…hello?” She spoked causing Xavier’s eyes to shoot wide open, as well as Aquamarine and Ruby.
“Maya?” Xavier turned around.
“Oh no…” Ruby panicked, while revealing her one gem eye to Maya.
Maya entered the bedroom, looking face to face to two gems. She also noticed Steven hugging Craig from one of Xavier’s computers. She then looked at her former friend with a serious look. “What’s going on right now?”
Xavier sighed while not fooling Maya like he does with Craig and his friends. “I’m planning to take over the creek with the help…” He pointed at Aquamarine. “Of Aquamarine.” And then pointed to Ruby. “And Ruby…who are gems.”
“What about that guy who’s hugging Craig.” She pointed at his computer.
“Steven, who I’ve been spying on thanks to my drone.”
Maya placed her hand on her face. After all the crisis her former friend caused while being ruler, she wished he just moved forward in life. “I’ve only come here so we can at least restart our friendship by burying the hatchet of Capture The Flag but…” She sighed. “...why do I even try?”
“For your information, we’re just like Xavier, what did you expect?” Aquamarine flows close to Maya.
“Well you should expect that I’m not joining your crusade like last time.” Maya pushed Aquamarine to look straight to Xavier. “This is why I’d rather jog with the other kids from the other side of the creek rather than be with you.”
“It’s not like I need your defense from before, that’s why these two are my new defense system.” Xavier smirked. “Just wait until they fuse together into Bluebird, they’re unstoppable while they fight as one.”
“I don’t even know what you’re talking about. You’re seriously lost.”
“Looks like somebody didn’t get the memo.” Ruby retorted.
“I have my own plans, I could care less of this Steven person. Besides from the way he’s hanging out with Craig, I rather give Craig his space.”
“You know, if you really wanted to give Craig his space with Steven, you'd be missing out on the revolution that should’ve happened if we won against them.”
Maya placed her hand on her hip, looking away from Xavier. “Your revolution sucks away. Even if you gave me an open invitation with your reign being more powerful, I would rather get to know Steven since he’s more promising than you.”
“Yeah, I know that.”
“Yeah duh, you will never have him as a friend once he sees the real you.” Maya turned around as she left Xavier’s bedroom, heading out of the house in a flash to get ready with her jog.
“What a betrayer.” Aquamarine retorted.
“I’m not wrong that you two have a more powerful defense system than her.” Xavier replied.
“But don’t call us a defense system.”
“At least come up with a team name to make it feel like we’re more of a threat.” Ruby said.
“I’ll think of that later, for now, I have to think of a better plan in order to get Steven’s personal information.” Xavier took the time to think about his new form strategy before taking action. When he turned around to see Steven hugging Craig again, he looked at him closely from the way he’s tearing out. It didn’t fool him for how real it is and knows he’ll never be able to have that fondness at all. But then, an idea came to his head, with a devious smile on his face. He went straight to his computer to take a screenshot of Steven hugging Craig, editing the picture while it prints from the printing machine in the hallway in the house.
He gets out of his room to get the picture while entering the kitchen. Kenneth and Cheyenne while sitting by the kitchen table while they took notice of their brother. “What is it Xavier?” Kenneth spoked. “Does it have anything to do other than getting friends?”
“For me, no but trust me, I found someone you might be able to make another friend out of.” Xavier presented the picture to his brother, which surprised him.
“Oh.” Kenneth commented. “He looks promising since that’s the same kid I met before.”
“He must have saved him from danger.” Cheyenne added. “I guess it’s a good idea to bring you more drones.”
“I’m not gonna be a journalist but I’m still a realist.” Xavier smiled.
As Kenneth kept the picture, Xavier headed back to his room with Aquamarine and Ruby waiting. “Did he accept it?” Ruby asked.
“Big time. Steven’s gonna have a new friend, for our strategy to get to Beach City.” Xavier grinned and so did the two gems. They know in advance Steven won’t judge Kenneth from his healthier behavior, but most importantly, Kenneth’s willingness of making a new friend close to his age. And they will make sure their plan won’t be exposed in front of Steven until the time has come.

Steven Universe Of The Creek Chapter 17 Shades Of Diamond Depicted Deeds
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Steven turned back into his normal self and he and his friends left Horse Girl Meadow. Craig looked at his map to find a place where he and his new friend could go to. “You know, the more I follow you guys, the bigger the creek really feels.” Steven smiled. “Maybe it’s because of the trees themselves since I don’t have a lot of trees back at Beach City.”
“If there weren’t any trees here, I would see what you mean.” Craig replied. “But without them, the creek wouldn’t be a creek.”
“It would be a wasteland.” Kelsey added.
“Or a flooded nightmare.” J.P. commented.
“For me personally, it would’ve made this place a park more than anything.” Omar said.
“I agree.” Steven looking at the trees. “If I had this life, I would’ve found trees satisfying.”
Craig then remembered one place that Steven would enjoy however it’s one of the last places he wants to go due to the person he trusted the least. The sad thing is, they’re close to the location that’s next to Horse Girl Meadow. As Steven turned to his left, he noticed a huge tree close in the distance.
“Hey, what’s over there?” Steven made his way.
“Darn it!” Craig stopped. “I hoped he wouldn’t see it.”
Steven went out of the trees to witness the big tree in person. The tree had lights coming in and out from the long thin leaves, without an open view on the inside. He couldn’t describe how beautiful it is, as if he wonders who spends their time here. Craig and the others walked up with Steven, witnessing the tree, but they’re familiar with the people who'll be inside.
“Craig, I can’t believe this creek has a big tree.” Steven said. “It’s impressive you have something like this during your free time.”
“Well…this tree would’ve been everything to me…if it wasn’t owned by rich people and a leader who wears a tiara…” Craig replied.
“Rich people?”
“Has the tiara caught your mind on what we're dealing with?” Kelsey added.
“We did have a moment in there but…only one moment with…them causing people at the creek to fight each other over cardboard cake.” J.P. added.
Steven wanted to believe his friends, but he can’t get over how beautiful the tree is. If the creek only has one tree like this, it would have more value then he expected. Then, a rich girl came out from the entrance of the tree. But the moment Steven laid his eyes on her, he was shocked to witness her pink hair, similar to Rose Quartz and Pink Diamond.
“George, Jane, we better get ready for my daily walk while going to the Candy Bar for…” She stopped herself when her eyes stared at Steven. She heard the news about him from others this morning, unlike some kids, she believes what happened last night including the gem underneath his shirt. “Oh…what do we have here?” She smiled.
“Eliza, should we get going?” George coming out.
“Yeah, why are we-” Jane stopped herself after also coming out, witnessing Steven himself.
“Is that…him?”
“Yes, it seems Steven Universe has arrived at our tree.” She walks up to Steven, introducing herself. “My name is Eliza.”
“I’m George.”
“I’m Jane.”
“We’re the Tea Timers.” They all replied, greeting The Crystal Gem. Steven on the other hand couldn’t get over Eliza’s look, as if she’s a younger daughter of Pink Diamond if she was a diamond. But the image itself made him more distressed.
“Umm…Hi Tea Timers.” He waved. “So you own…this tree?”
“A true one of a kind may you add.” Eliza smiled. “Especially a wealthy person with a fancy pink gem.” She grabbed the end of his shirt, lifting it up slightly to see the gem in person, admiring the beauty of it, despite Steven looking away, being uncomfortable without his permission.
“I don’t like the look of this.” Omar whispered to Craig. “Is he gonna glow up like last night?”
“I’m hoping he doesn’t, but at the same time, this is Eliza we’re talking about.” Craig responded.
Meanwhile, the drone returned, flying above the sky, recording Steven’s Gem after zooming in on it. “That gem of yours is gorgeous. Pink is my favorite color.” Eliza looked up at Steven.
“You don’t say.” Steven replied while grinding his teeth.
“I was thinking. How about you come inside our tree…for you to see the tree from the inside.”
“Well…” He scratched on the back of his head. “I found the tree mesmerizing. It’s worth checking inside.”
“Good.” She smiled as she turned to George. “George, open the entrance for Steven to come in.”
“Yes Eliza.” George responded as he moved the long thin leaves. Eliza takes Steven’s hand as she takes him inside the tree. George and Jane went inside, closing the entrance leaving Craig and his gang alone.
“She’s too attached to his gem.” Craig said. “I have to get inside.”
“Craig, they’re not gonna invite you in.” Kelsey replied.
“I don’t think Steven’s gonna take it well for how terrible Eliza is.” This caused Craig’s eyes to shoot wide open, remembering what Steven is capable of, from last night. He rushed to the entrance only for George to stop him.
“You’re not allowed inside Craig.”
“But this is an emergency!”
“How is it an emergency?”
“Because Steven’s gem is supposed to stay in him, you don’t understand it’s not stuck in there…in a jewelry way.”
George wanted to believe him but after hearing the news, he unlike Eliza, doesn't believe it. “Eliza told me upon meeting her, she’ll be at her best tone towards Steven. We won’t cause any trouble.”
“And you expect me to believe that?”
“He’s serious, we really really need to be inside for him.” Omar added.
George moaned in annoyance but he saw Craig and his friends with Steven, unlike Eliza. “Okay but Eliza won’t be happy about this.”
“Her bias is what I’m afraid of.” Craig replied as George invited him and his friends inside. The drone from the sky lowered close to the tree. It landed on the ground from the other side, there was a small opening from the inside as the lens captured everyone inside, camouflaging with the wings turned off.
Steven looked everywhere at the inside of the tree. He became impressed with how open it was, not to mention the lights glowing from above made it better. “Welcome to the Tea Timers’ Club.” Eliza smiled. “We host a lot of tea parties here.”
“Do you invite guests here?” Steven asked.
“Sometimes, we throw a dance for everyone to come.”
“It was a splendid dance.” Jane added.
“Well that seems…an appropriate way to celebrate here.” Steven replied.
“Of course it is, what else is better than a dance?” Eliza said.
Steven wished he could be honest, but from the way she’s talking to him, he’s not buying it one bit. “An in…tree garden? Like with open sunlight to give plants sunlight?”
“What? You don’t like it this way?” She retorted. “I adore plants when my parents take me to a garden show filled with flowers.”
“I’m just saying, I don’t…dislike it, I like it, I just think it could’ve been better.”
Eliza didn’t like his disapproval, not to mention she witnessed Craig and his friends inside who George allowed them inside. “It seems your friends showed you the less popular of the creek.”
When Steven took notice of Craig and his friends, he couldn’t believe Eliza said that to them.
“Hey, they took me to two places and I enjoyed them.”
“Trust me Steven, if you want to know more of the popular places in the creek, we'll give you a tour.” Eliza leaned close to him. “Trust me, we know alot about the creek.”
“Liar!” Craig reacted in anger. “You spend most of your time here rather than outside.”
“We still go to the Trading Tree, stupid.” Eliza retorted back.
“Steven, don’t trust her.”
“I wasn’t going to.” Steven replied.
“Craig!” Eliza shouted. “My interest has been through the heavens about this guy!” She marched her way towards him. “I’m not missing my opportunity.”
“No offense, but do you think he wants to have a tea party with you?”
“Of course he would, I wasn’t gonna do anything devious like the other times I’ve done to other kids.” This caused Steven to open his eyes after hearing Eliza. “In fact, the only thing I really want him to do is be a fashion model for people to see his gem.”
“Almost everyone at the creek is gonna see his gem, it’s valuable, but it’s not what you think it is.”
This caused Eliza to grab Craig’s shirt, causing Steven to shake slightly. “I know what value is when it comes to fancy jewelry. And if it’s true he won’t stay here, NO one’s coming in my way! I’ll get what I want by any means necessary! George, kick them out!” She ordered her servant.
Steven shook in anger with both of his fist clenching. He remembered how Pink Diamond acted and the way Eliza is acting towards his friend, he wished he never experienced it in person. Soon, his body glowed in pink again, catching everyone’s attention except Craig and Eliza.
“Hello! I said to kick them o-” She got cut off the moment Steven grabbed her arm, catching her and Craig’s attention immediately. The moment she saw Steven in his mental state, she felt scared from Steven’s anger with the sound from his gem.
Steven couldn’t control himself as his powers got the better of him, he lifted her up from the ground with her dress after she let go of Craig. “I DON’T WANT TO BE YOUR FASHION MODEL WHEN ALL YOU TO REMIND ME IS ROSE QUARTZ!!!” He shouted, causing the long leaves to blow with the sun shining through in a second.
“Who’s Rose Quartz!?” Eliza reacted in fear.
“Steven put her down!” Kelsey called.
Steven didn’t listen as he prepared to lift his fist up, activating a pink bubble but Craig, head behind him, grabbed his fist after jumping from the ground. “Steven, you need to stop!” He prevented him from punching Eliza but then his eyes turned pink again with his surroundings pitch pink. However, he saw Steven in his monster form and Eliza as Rose Quartz.
“Craig, your eyes turned pink.” J.P. took notice.
“Yeah his eyes turned pink.” George added.
“He’s probably intertwined with Steven’s Gem!” Kelsey added.
“Come on, let’s help him!” Omar called as he, Kelsey, and J.P. went towards Craig, pulling his legs as Steven got stronger and stronger.
“Please, let me go, I won’t have you as my fashion model!!” Eliza cried.
Just when Steven used his strength, he turned to Craig who caught him off guard. In Craig’s vision, the monster in Steven's rage went away in a second, he didn’t roar, instead he felt shocked and concerned to witness four kids on his body, similar to what his friends and family did to turn him back to normal. The only difference is, in Steven’s vision, he witnesses Craig’s pink eyes.
He let go of everyone, but due to his gem powers, it caused Craig’s friends to fall down while Craig landed up against the tree. The velocity was too much, he was that close to have the back of his head bruised with only his bag breaking the impact.
Steven’s glow went away as he dropped Eliza to the ground. Eliza breathed heavily, thankful she didn’t get punched from Steven’s powers. “Eliza!” George came to her aid and so did Jane.
When Steven witnesses Craig up against the tree, he places both of his hands on his mouth “Craig!” He rushed towards him, leaned down while witnessing Craig opening his eyes. He became shocked to see his pink eyes in close view. In Craig’s vision, he saw Steven’s monster form up close to him, sad that he almost hurt him the moment he let go of his anger. And then when he closed his eyes, he saw Steven in his normal form, no longer a monster with no pitch pinkness around.
“Steven…” He spoked.
“I didn’t hit her but…I saw your eyes turn pink.” He responded. “I don’t know how it’s possible.”
“I’ve been having that since coming to the creek today.”
“Oh no.” He gave Craig a hug, lifting himself from the ground from his normal strength. “How am I gonna fix this?” A tear came down on his face, afraid of what effects it could have on Craig.
Craig’s friends walked up to Steven who’s hugging Craig tightly, giving him comfort as much as he can. Eliza slowly walked up to Steven from behind with Craig taking notice. As much as she’s lucky the Tea Timers’ Club didn’t get destroyed, she would’ve ended up in the hospital for the first time in her life.
“I…don’t know what to say.” George said, shaking in fear.
“Most of the lights are loose from the branches.” Jane looked up at the lights. “I don’t want to know what would’ve happened if he glowed more.”
“I…don’t think…I want to go to the Candy Bar, I really need a therapist.” Eliza shaked hyperventilating more than George.
“Steven, should you talk to Eliza because…it’s really important to let her understand…even if I don’t always believe in her.” Craig replied as Steven turned around. Even after letting her go, he still can’t get over her look and attitude. But he refuses to keep her in the dark just like he did with his friends and family.
After letting go of Craig, he signed, and walked up to Eliza who’s scared to come near him. “Look, I didn’t mean to hurt you but…” He couldn’t say it to offend her but she still doesn’t under Rose.”
“But what!?” She reacted.
“You remind me of my mom!” He shouted to get the truth out. “With your hair, your dress, everything pink, to me, you’re Rose Quartz, who’s one half of Pink Diamond!”
After he lowered his head, Eliza, along with the Tea Timers, still didn’t catch on to what he meant. “Craig, can you elaborate on what he means?” She turned to Craig.
“Steven, just show him the photos or we're gonna be here forever.” Craig looked up, placing his hand on his head.
Steven took out his phone and clicked the image of his mother. She showed it to Eliza who looked at the image closely. She doesn’t look like her face but her hair, made her realize the truth a bit. “I would show you who Pink Diamond is, but I don’t have a photo of her.”
“Your mother really is…something else if she isn’t that sweet.” George commented.
“Trust me the only thing I can say to you is as a Crystal Gem, it's not fantasy from your imagination.”
Eliza processed from what Steven expressed, but the moment she also saw Craig’s pink eyes and the glowing incident that occurred, it’s better for her to not find out. “On second thought, why don’t you all just leave?” She pointed at the exit. “If your mother was that horrible to you, I don’t want to be part of it. I only thought about your gem more than yourself.”
“Considering your…thirst for greed and attention, you would probably have a miserable time running a colony, unlike Pink Diamond.”
“I just wanted to do a fashion show okay, I don’t even think I’ll ever find someone else who has a gem in their belly button.”
“If you really think my gem is profitable, imagine what everyone would feel when they see the power in it.” Steven leaned closed to Eliza to make sure she paid attention to him. “They would be hungry for power, making the creek a battlefield.”
“It is true.” Craig added.
“Yeah, we’ve been through too much of what people did in the Creek.” George replied.
“I totally agree, we don’t want another Capture The Flag battle…or a pirate invasion.” Eliza signed. “I’m gonna head home right now to stay in my bedroom for sanctuary.”
“I’m sorry for…” Steven tried to finish only for Craig to grab his hand.
“Let’s just get out of here.”
As Steven lowered his head in disappointment, he and his friends headed out of the Tea Timers’ Club, heading to the next place Craig’s picking from his map. The Tea Timers would never be able to forget this day for the rest of their lives.
“If Steven did something to Craig’s eyes, I’m afraid Craig might become a pink freak without a gem.” Eliza commented.
“Be thankful we don’t find out, otherwise pink won’t be your favorite color anymore.” Jane replied.
“Hey, you see a person with a purple gem glowing purple and see how you feel!” Eliza retorted.
“We really need to never underestimate a person like Steven to prevent our club from getting destroyed.” George signed. “The important thing is, we at least know who he’s capable of.”
“Fair enough.” Eliza signed as she and the Tea Timers left the club, heading home after postponing their plans for the day. Meanwhile, the drone captured everything as it flew out from the spot and back to the sky. It didn’t follow Craig’s group since their visit to Ramp City. It flew back to the neighborhood as it recorded all the evidence it needed. Except the person behind the drone is far from done with Craig and his new friend.

Steven Universe Of The Creek Chapter 16 The Wild Star Child Grazer
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
J.P. took the group to the open field of the creek, which took Steven by surprise. “There’s an open field here?” He looked in his surroundings.
“Yes.” Kelsey replied.
“I assume you’ve gone past multiple fields during your travels, right?” Omar commented.
“Well in the car on highways, but I’ve only gone to one field on foot.” Steven responded. “I still find this place small, but still relaxing.”
“This field is called Horse Girl Meadow, but there’s no actual horses.” J.P. said. “There’s a girl who wanted me to be part of her herd, but I wanted to be a truck rather than a horse.”
After listening to J.P. Steven witnessed four girls running in the distance. With the meadow itself completely empty aside from the four, he may find a way to do something with not only the location itself but also with Craig. “Are those?” He pointed to which J.P. catched on.
“They’re the Horse Girls.”
“I want you to know…I’m not much of a horse person.” Craig filled in.
“Thanks for letting me know, because I might be able to find a horse for you to ride on.” Steven looked back at Craig, which took the child by notice. They made their way to the Horse Girls who’ll just stop in the center of the field. It didn’t take long until they saw them after they jumped over the barricades like they do everyday.
“That girl with the white hair and cat headband is Maney.” J.P. said. “She’s the girl I was referring to.”
As Steven made his way to the herd, the leader of the herd took notice with J.P. and the others by his side. Unlike her encounters with the other kids, she’s witnessing a grown teen in her eyes. “What the hey?” She reacted.
“What is it, Mackenzie?” Marie wondered to which she immediately paid attention to the teen.
“Is that…a teen?” Melissa added.
“Seems they didn’t get the news about you last night.” J.P. commented.
“Perfect.” Steven smiled.
Soon, Maney turned around to witness J.P. again, to which she blushed. “J.P.” She responded with the group walking up to the Horse Girls.
“I have a special friend for you all to meet.” J.P. presented The Crystal Gem. “Steven Universe.”
When Mackenzie and her herd looked up to him, she wouldn’t expect a teen spending his time at this area of the creek. “How did you manage to have a teen as your best friend?” She looked directly at Steven.
“Last night had a lot of danger.” Craig answered.
“Literally.” Omar added.
“Hmm. If it’s dangerous when horses won’t make it out from a thunderstorm, you must be brave to save one horse.” Mackenzie replied.
“Yeah, last night was really scary.” Melissa commented.
“If a small horse was stuck to something during a storm, he or she would catch a cold, or have nightmares forever.” Marie added.
Both Steven and Craig looked at each other, but knew the Horse Girls got the wrong idea. “Well, small horses can still be brave, even during thunderstorms.” Craig awkwardly grinned.
“Not to mention there are more ways for a horse to be out in a storm.” Steven smiled. “Mainly stopping a terrible animal who could take over the meadow.”
“Oh so there's…a mean horse?” Maney wondered.
“A brown and mostly blue mean horse.”
The Horse Girls felt puzzled, even if their leader still had questions despite not as much as others who received the news involving Steven. “What kind of horse are you?”
“Let’s just say, a special breed of horse.” He lifted his shirt up to reveal his gem in front of the Horse Girls, taking them all by surprise.
“Oh my goodness!” Maney looking straight at the gem.
“That looks beautiful!” Marie added.
“Where and how am I gonna draw that on a horse.” Melissa’s eyes sparkled.
“That can’t be rare for a horse to have.” Mackenzie looked straight at it.
“Believe me, if it wasn’t rare, it would’ve hurt if it’s stuck in there.” J.P. added.
“If you wanna know how rare I am, one of the horses in the herd I’m in has a gem similar to this, and she’s purple.” Steven replied.
“Purple?” Maney reacted. “That’s incredible if your herd has different colors.”
“It is. Her name is Amethyst. Ruby and Sapphire ride on her when they go to the mountains.”
“Amethyst the purple horse?” Mackenzie said while still staring at Steven’s gem. “What other horses do you have in your herd?”
“Pearl who is…mostly the same color as a white horse. Garnet who’s a Red and Pink color, Lapis who’s a blue horse, and Peridot who’s a green horse.”
“Wooow.” The Horse Girls responded.
Despite Craig knowing who the Crystal Gems are, he wanted Steven to have his chances in the Horse Girl Meadow. Even if it was J.P.’s idea to come here, from the way he’s handling it, it’s way better for his health than the events from yesterday.
“Would you be willing to join our herd?” Marie offered.
“Only for a while, since you just got here?” Melissa added.
“Horse Girls.” Mackenzie turned her attention to her herd. “As much as I lay off the rules, having a grown teen ride with us isn’t natural.”
“Yeah, I have to agree.” Maney replied. “J.P., don’t you think this is unusual?”
J.P. agreed with her, but at the same time, he knew they were on a wild ride from Steven’s Gem powers. “Yes, but have you ever played an online game where you can shorten your horse?”
The Horse Girls looked at each other while turning to J.P. again. “Yes, I’ve always wanted to shorten my horses.”
This gave Steven an idea, thanks to where J.P. is going with this. “I may have never played an online horse game, but shortening, that’s my secret of being a horse.” He glowed, taking everyone’s attention around him. His body got shortened with Craig and the others somehow taller than him, aside from Kelsey and Mackenzie’s height. As the glow faded, Steven opened his eyes with a smile on his face. “Steven Universe is here to be part of the herd.” He spoke with his young voice.
“Holy ranch!” Melissa reacted.
“He just became a kid in a matter of seconds.” Mackenzie added.
“This has just gotten better.” J.P. wrapped his arm around Steven, while witnessing his pink coat and pants unable to fit him due to his small size. “Do you want your coat and pants to be placed on the side while you ride with the Horse Girls?”
“Sure.” Steven got out of his pink coat and pants while J.P. placed it by the tall grass. Craig along with his friend’s jaws dropped from behind. They knew Steven told him about his powers but they couldn’t imagine what it would look like in front of their eyes. When Steven turned around, he couldn’t hold his laughter from his friends' reactions. “I guess you can see what I look like at fourteen years old.”
“Fourteen years old!?” Maney reacted while blinking.
“You can’t expect me to believe that!” Mackenzie said shockingly.
“Really, that was the last thing I would expect.” Marie added. “I thought you were like ten or eleven.”
Steven turned back to the Horse Girls, still smiling. “Believe me, Connie couldn’t believe it when she was twelve. What are we waiting for? Let’s go!” Steven went past the Horse Girls as he ran while lifting his arms up in front of him.
“Should we follow him?” Maney asked with J.P. by her side.
“Sure, it’s no longer unnatural.” Mackenzie smiled. “Let’s go girls.”
The Horse Girls and J.P. followed Steven in the Horse Girl Meadow. Craig and the others on the other hand are still stunted in place. “I can’t believe…he wasn’t joking when he had the ability to be younger.” Craig replied.
“If only we had that ability when we all enter our teenage years.” Kelsey smiled.
“Okay don’t go nuts on that, because I wouldn’t even spend my life as a kid forever.” Omar said.
Craig continued to watch Steven running with the Horse Girls and J.P. but as a truck. He hopped over the sticks right before the Horse Girls, he made a horse sound while J.P. made a truck noise, soon they both raced each other around the Horse Girls.
“We’re protecting you all from any danger of menacing animals!” Steven cheered.
“Like the brown and mostly blue mean horse.” J.P. added. “I’ll take her back to horse military school!”
The Horse Girls lifted their heads up in the air, making a squeal noise when Horses were excited. “I have to admit though, he’s way more happy when he’s a kid…despite still being fourteen.” Craig smiled.
“He’s probably enjoying this place because it’s an open field.” Omar added. “You can’t get enough when horses come out in open fields.” Craig and Kelsey both looked at Omar, not forgetting about what Steven stated upon arriving. “Okay, especially Steven himself.”
“Well you're not wrong about horses in open fields, I’m mostly impressed that he’s more happy than he was back at Ramp City.” Kelsey replied. “Hey Craig, why don’t you have Steven carry you?”
“I would but I don’t like being on horses. We only did that for J.P. when Maney wanted to hang out with him.” Craig turned to Kelsey.
“But Craig, that was a long time ago. I’m sure Steven would like to carry you.”
“This is much for J.P. since he chose to come here, I want to give him his time with Steven while you two can have…your…” Craig took notice of Kelsey moving to the left side and Omar moving to the right side. “What?”
“Welcome to the herd.”
Out of nowhere, Steven went under Craig’s body, lifting him up from the ground while landing on Steven’s back. Steven grabbed his legs just in time while Craig held on to him. “Steven!?” Craig reacted.
“Come on, I can still carry you. Be a cowboy like Ruby is!” Steven turned around to head back to the Horse Girls and J.P., he went past them and they followed him immediately with Craig trying to handle being on Steven.
“Whoa! I would be a cowboy if I was ready for this.”
“Expect the unexpected, that’s who Steven is.” J.P. called while running by Steven.
As the Horse Girls are next to Steven and Craig, Craig tries to focus on the moment while Steven’s still caring for him. Even from the weight of Craig, Steven had no problem while still running. He may be in his young self body but he still has strength from his grown teen self. He makes his way to the hill of Horse Girl Meadow, reaching up the hill while stopping on top of it.
The Horse Girls stop next to them with J.P. stopping next to the right. As Craig kept his balance, he looked at the field while Steven had a better view of Horse Girl Meadow. “This is the best spot when the whole herd is together.” Mackenzie said.
“Especially for new horses.” Maney smiled.
“I can tell.” Steven taking the view. “I had a bigger hill that showed the whole area, not just the beach where I lived.”
“If only the meadow was much bigger.” Marie commented.
“We could see what you mean from your childhood.” J.P. added.
Craig looked at Steven from the left who he took notice of. “I’m not gonna lie, you do really feel like someone who goes to the creek like we do.” He responded.
“Thanks.” Steven smiled. “Granted I want more people here to see my true self, but I can change back when a location makes me appreciative like this place.”
“That’s fine, it’s good that this doesn’t hurt unlike the other way around.”
“What’s wrong with the other way around?” Mackenzie wondered.
“Let’s just say…a glitch will happen where a bigger horse turns into a baby horse.” Steven filling in.
“It could happen.” J.P. replied.
“I really don’t want to see that.” Melissa added.
As they all looked in the distance, Craig thought about what he and Steven can go to next once they’re done here. Many options he can choose, but he’s hoping Steven would enjoy it as much as he did with Horse Girl Meadow and Ramp City, all the while also having more moments with him.

Steven Universe Of The Creek Chapter 15 Steven And The 10 Speeds
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Steven and the group arrived at Ramp City where they witness Cannonball riding his bike on one of the ramps. Upon witnessing Cannonball’s skills, Steven remembered his time riding his bike when he met Connie for the first time. But he was riding on sand on the beach and not in the forest, or creek in this case.
“When you said something about gem powers, what kind of powers do you mean?” Omar wondered.
“I can turn into a fourteen year old…mainly the same size as you all.” Steven answered.
“Did you have that power the other way around?”
“Yes, but it hurts. I’ve turned into a baby after holding it for too long.”
“It really shows that growing tall needs more time.” J.P. commented.
When Steven looked at Cannonball again, his bike was smaller than his old bike. Even if he didn’t bring along his bike after leaving Beach City, he may be able to borrow his or his friends' bikes for permission. After Cannonball went past the finish line, he stopped right away with his group, 10 Speeds walking up to him with their leader.
“Awesome.” Handlebarb smiled while looking at the timer on her phone. “You’re almost close to breaking your record from last time.”
“Just a couple seconds behind.” Warpspeed added.
Cannonball smiled as he got off his bike. He didn’t need to try hard like last time but he couldn’t keep his mind off of what happened last night. “Hey!” Omar called to the attention of 10 Speeds.
“Oh.” Cannonball took notice of Steven. He made his way out of the ramp track once Craig’s group walked up to them. “You’re that guy from last night.”
“Was he that guy you mentioned earlier?” Todd replied.
“He doesn’t look like anything I’ve had in mind.” Warpspeed commented.
When Handlebarb put away her phone, she went with the group to witness the person who was in the storm from last night, and that creature who fought him. “I can’t say he’s that bad, but the whole shield thing appearing from thin air…I’m not buying it.” She spoked.
“You know, just because you didn’t see what happened last night doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.” Steven took it well.
“That's true.” Cannonball agreed.
“This is Steven.” Craig introduced his new friend to 10 Speeds. “He wants to get to know the creek and he’s gonna stay for a while. He wants to check out Ramp City.”
“Huh, a newcomer and a tourist?” Handlebarb smiled. “While I’m not buying about his…shield, but for a tourist, we should give him a first try.”
“Extreme stunts?” Steven wondered.
“And dangerous ones as well.” Kelsey added.
“We do a lot of stunts at Ramp City.” Warpspeed filled in, as he pointed at the course. “There’s a lot of ramps to perform stunts, each bigger than the last.”
As Steven and the group looked at the course itself, Steven found it impressive. “You all do a lot of stunts. I’ve seen bike olympics during my travels.”
“But do they do stunts if they have ramps?” Handlebarb added.
“No.” Her and 10 Speeds said.
“Then again, the Olympics forbid extreme stunts…and ramps.” Steven awkwardly giggled.
“Where’s your bike?” Handlebarb asked.
“Sorry but I don’t have a bike.”
“Not to mention that he’s too big enough to ride any of your bikes.” Omar added.
This gave Cannonball an idea for what he can do for Steven. However he had to remind Steven that there’s a set back. “You all wait here, I’ll be right back.” He went back to his bike to head back to his house to get something for Steven.
While the two groups wait for Cannonball, Handlebarb keeps her attention on Steven himself. She looked straight at Steven’s shirt after what Cannonball mentioned about his gem. “Can you show me your gem?”
“Yeah, we wanna see it.” Warpspeed added.
“Okay.” Steven replied. “Then again people are gonna ask me for that.”
“We just started to get used to it.” J.P. said.
Steven lifted his shirt up slightly to show 10 Speeds his gem. They looked closely at it but it still doesn’t convinced Handlebarb. “I found it hard to believe this…gem would be magical.”
“It feels like it’s shoved in there because you have a big belly button.” Todd commented.
“There are so many things you don’t know about me.” Steven recalled. “Granted I don’t blame you for not believing it, but there is always more than what meets the eye.”
“Trust me, it will change your mind forever.” Craig added. “It changed my mind.”
“Yeah.” Steven giggled while letting go of his shirt. “I’ve changed a lot of minds, but it had nothing to do with my gem.”
“We'll see about that.” Handlebarb replied. “When Cannonball comes back, you’re gonna race with us.” She lifted her hand up for a handshake to which Steven reciprocated.
For the next five minutes, they waited for Cannonball to come back. Craig didn’t expect Steven to be in a race with the 10 Speeds. Granted it’s not for competition, but he’s aware that the leader wants more proof of Steven’s gem.
Soon, Warpspeed noticed Cannonball biking through the trees but slowly with another bike that’s attached to his. “He’s almost back.” He pointed to everyone’s attention.
When Steven looked at what Cannonball had from behind, it was a bike, but a tandem bike for two people to ride on. As he arrived back at Ramp City, he presented everyone with his bike he borrowed back at home.
“This is my tandem bike that my dad and I ride on from time to time.” He replied. “However I couldn’t find a normal bike for one person.”
“Cannonball, even if tandem bikes can do more speed, It isn’t possible to perform stunts.” Handlebarb replied.
“Especially lifting a bike that size.” Omar pointed.
“I can still make it work.” Steven walked up to the bike while turning to Craig. “Craig, can you take the second seat?”
“You want me to ride with you?” Craig also walked up to the bike.
“It’ll be our first activity together.” When he looked at the 10 Speeds again, he whispered into Craig’s ear. “Let’s show them what speed really is.”
“Ohh…” Craig catched on. “Okay.”
In the starting line, Steven and Craig in their tandem bike are next to 10 Speeds with their bikes. J.P., Kelsey, and Omar waited next to the finish line to witness the bikers passing them by.
“I don’t know how you’re gonna do it, but don’t get your hopes up on reaching first place.” Handlebarb replied.
“We can still beat you even if you work together.” Warpspeed added.
“I would probably reach last place, cause I know I’m not faster than all of you.” Todd added.
“Don’t worry at the very least, you at least tried.” Cannonball added.
Steven didn’t take those as compliments. With him handling the handlebars from the front, he can’t wait to blow them away once the race begins. However Craig placed his hand on his head with the effects from before returning.
“Craig?” Cannonball looking straight at him. “Are you feeling alright?”
“A little but I can still do this.” He responded.
Meanwhile, a drone appeared from the sky with a camera attached from the bottom. It was further away from Ramp City to prevent any attention while the camera lens zoomed in on Steven and the others.
“Ready.” Handlebarb preparing to pedal. “Set.” Right at the moment, Steven’s gem glows, preparing to use his gem powers. However Craig’s eyes turned pink when he opened them again, witness pinkess again. “GO!”
Steven turned himself pink as he pedaled. With his super speed, he pedaled past 10 Speeds right after leaving the starting line. Craig somehow manages to be part of Steven’s powers but mainly his eyes that change his perspective.
“Craig, we're gonna be jumping out of a ramp, be prepared to do a stunt.” Steven and Craig jumped off the first ramp of the track as Steven spread his legs apart right before he landed on the track. Craig couldn’t react in time with his eyes being part of the problem. With them reaching another ramp, they jumped off while Steven lifted his hands up. However he didn’t turn to see Craig from behind, who’s still holding onto his handlebar at all times.
They landed on the ground as they reached the last ramp before the finish line. Craig moved his head to see what's in front of him. But with the pinkness, he kept holding onto his handlebar to keep himself from falling off. Even while using his pedals from behind, Steven’s power is what’s controlling his speed despite not being a gem himself.
When they jumped on the final ramp, Craig accidently lifted his body up in the air while Steven did the same. He didn’t jump however, as if his body was made out of air like blowing a balloon. “Whoa!” He reacted while witnessing his perspective upside down in pink. The drone captures the two lifting themselves higher in the air.
They finally landed on the ground after they sat down from their stunt. They went past the finish line while their friends were stunned in disbelief. “Holy cow.” J.P.’s jaw hung open.
From the starting line, Cannonball, Handlebarb, and Warpspeed didn’t move an inch after what they witnessed. They even saw Steven and Craig up in the air with Steven’s gem powers come into play. “Now do you believe it?” Cannonball spoked.
“Yeah, definitely believe it.” Handlebarb responded.
“He definitely beat my record.” Warpspeed added.
As Steven got off his bike, Craig’s vision went back to normal the moment he stopped. “It really felt like we were speeding like Slide The Ferret but at pink speed.”
“That’s because it was my gem powers.” Steven smiled. “It really comes into use whenever I’m late to something.”
As Craig got off of the bike, his friends walked up to them. “That was awesome!” Kelsey cheered. “You two were up in the sky!”
“To tell you the truth, if you were in extreme bike sports, people would have to rely on replaying what you did eighty five percent of the time.” Omar commented.
“You're right. If there’s one thing I have than bike stunters is more speed…but I would be disqualified if they find out about my powers.”
As the group laughed at each other from Steven and Craig’s bike performance, the drone flew away, capturing everything that happened but it was far from done. “So can I pick the place we should go next?” J.P. wondered. “It’ll be really fun.”
“No problem but we should probably let 10 Speeds know about my speed power.”
“Yeah, they’re definitely not gonna sleep knowing that their records have been broken forever.” Omar commented.
But before they headed to the starting line, Todd passed the finish line. “I made it in second place!” He cheered. “I’m no longer in last place!”
As he went past the group, it took them by surprise. “You definitely made one biker happy when it came to hope.” Craig smiled.
“Guarantee this is the first time one of them will experience last place.” Steven finished. “But then again, first time for everyone and everything.”

The Disney Channel Magical Holiday Express
Tumblr media
Christmas in Disney World never fails to disappoint each year. Employees redecorated every single building in the park to put families in the holiday mood. Not to mention the Disney princesses and stars from the films appear to spread cheer for the holidays. Especially from Star Wars and Marvel. However, whenever fans of Disney enjoy the spreading of cheers from Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, and Marvel characters and attractions, they couldn't get over the fact that Disney Channel Cartoon stars never get their attractions during the holidays. They may spend time at the parks in Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, and Animal Kingdom, but little compared to other famous franchises. They never got their attraction greenlit due to bigger plans from the company making more attractions in four parks. But it all changed when right after last year's Christmas, the Disney Channel Cartoon stars finally made an agreement to the Walt Disney Company to open their own Christmas Attraction, but a mobile one at that.
In Jacksonville at the Amtrak Station, people are taking the night trip to Orlando where Disney World is at. But when it comes to the Disney World Vacation Package, people usually take flights to Florida. If travelers are close to Orlando, they get an exclusive deal to take the train with the attraction they've been hearing about since mid Spring. After the train to Miami left, it was only a matter of time for the train to arrive for Orlando. Friends and families are eager to spend their three hours in the mobile attraction that Disney created.
"Hey!" A young girl pointed. "It's finally coming!"
Everyone turned their attention to the train that's a quarter of a mile from arriving at the station. But unlike the train people took from time to time, the train is a lot more different, not because of it being decorated in Christmas lights. It's painted with Disney Channel colors they show on TV during the holiday season, the passenger trains show characters of the cartoons on display with Christmas outfits but what will entertain people the most is what's taking place from the inside.
When the train stopped at the station, the doors opened revealed Mabel from Gravity Falls with her reindeer antlers on her head and Molly from The Ghost And Molly McGee wearing a Santa outfit. "Ladies and gentlemen!" Mabel cheered after walking out with Molly from behind. "Welcome to The Disney Channel Magical Holiday Express!"
As Molly leaned close to the kids, she presented the Holiday Express itself. "The most Fa-La-La entertainment express for your trip to Orlando!" She squealed.
"It will be the best three hours of your holiday experience." Mabel and Molly invited all the passengers inside the train. The kids loved the short but charming introduction from two stars, one of which ended their show almost eight years ago along with another who's two years old.
There were three classes for passengers to sit for their trip to Orlando which each class decorated with tons of Christmas decorations. But the separate classes behind the engine car is where the stars are relaxing and preparing for their performances. In the first class of the express, Kristine from Hailey's On It in her fancy Mrs. Claus' outfit is making her railway announcement with all the passengers putting their luggage away.
"K-Squad, this is Kristine, the Mrs. Claus Queen telling you that we're starting the train to Orlando where Disney World is at!" She smiled with her voice being heard from the speakers. "The Holiday Express will be more than the Polar Express, except for the train going on thin ice that is." The passengers laugh from the compliment. "Anyway, enjoy our railway trip." She put her microphone away as she headed back to the classes from the front.
In no time at all, the smoke from the engine came out as the train moved on the railway from the Station. The kids and teens couldn't believe they met three stars they barely see at attractions, aside from conventions. It was almost like what they read wasn't a lie or changed at the last minute. And things are getting better from here on out.
Cricket and Tilly from Big City Greens came out with Cricket holding mugs filled with coffee, while Tilly is holding a tray of butter biscuits. "Anybody in the mood for a warming Christmas beverage?" Cricket smiled.
"Along with special Christmas biscuits made by grandma!" Tilly added as the passengers paid and received the mugs and biscuits. The kids were thrilled to see the current Disney Channel Cartoon stars appear from their very eyes. When Tilly handed a biscuit to the girl in the purple jacket, she gave her a hug without hesitation. "Oh, such a sweet gesture."
"Knew this is what we wanted." Cricket commented after getting a fist bump from a teen. While they head to the second class of the express, kids and teens get a chance to watch episodes from their favorite Disney Channel Cartoons old and present from the installed TVs hanging from above. For the next twenty minutes, they can use the TVs to watch twenty two minute or two eleven minute episodes until Holiday Express continues its brand new gig.
After Cricket and Tilly finished up with the third class, they headed back to the separate classes. They took a break after doing their job and for twenty minutes, it's time to spice things up. "Okay, it's your turn now." Tilly whispered.
"Go out there and hit a home run, Christmas style!" Cricket added.
While fans were enjoying watching their favorite episodes, the screen changed into the high quality cam from the first class. It catched them off guard but not too long, the main star from Hailey's On It and Marcy from Amphibia appeared from the door. With headset microphones for the classes from the back to hear.
"Marcy," Hailey called, straightening her Santa hat. "Where are your other friends? You said they would come along on this express."
"I did, but they got side tracked from their holiday shopping rush this afternoon, so that's why they missed the train." Marcy showed Hailey her phone.
"But we're supposed to make these passengers occupied. What about Luz?"
Then Amity appeared from the door in her Mrs. Claus outfit. "Sorry! She missed the train because she forgot to bring her gift." She stepped in.
"Seriously!?"
"These passengers need to arrive at Disney World, but without our friends, what can we do?" Marcy asked, to which Dipper from Gravity Falls came out in a conductor outfit.
"Everyone, calm down!" He called to the three's attention. "I'm fully aware that we don't have our biggest Disney Channel stars, but we can still occupy the passengers. We have enough stars in the front for entertainment."
"But Dipper, giving entertainment from our biggest stars is what people wanted. I'm not enough without my best friends."
"Yeah and Luz always lightens up the mood, especially during Christmas." Amity added.
"Hey, that doesn't mean we have newer stars who became fan favorites this year. Including you Hailey." While Hailey blushed, Dipper turned his attention to the passengers. "Everyone, please welcome, Casey!" As he headed back to the front, Casey from Moon Girl And Devil Dinosaur appeared in her stylized yellow Santa outfit.
"Hey everybody!" She cheered while taking a selfie with the passengers. "Usually our conductor makes the introductions, but he gave me the liberty for that along with an exciting entrance. We don't have a grand stage to fit in the Holiday Express but we can still add excitement right?" The kids in all classes cheered yes, much to Casey's surprise. "Well, I'm thankful that my headset didn't explode."
"My ears still hurt though." Hailey retorted while taking off her headset.
"You get used to it after a while." Marcy added.
"Anyway, I want you all to welcome...Moon Girl!"
After giving the introduction, the door from the third class that shows the railtrack, opened, taking the passengers off guard. Moon Girl was skating on the rails of the track with only one boot from her superhero outfit. She jumped through the back, while shutting the door with her leg.
The passengers make an applause from the out of nowhere entrance from Moon Girl, as if they expected it to happen in first class. "Merry Christmas everyone!" She cheered.
"Here's my favorite superhero!" Casey appeared in the third class.
"Well, I made it before the holiday rush, trust me, Christmas isn't always about happiness when it comes to last minute shopping." Moon Girl greeted her best friend.
"We've all been there."
The passengers laughed, while the two continued the show. "So, since we have..." She looked through her goggles. "More than two and a half hours until we arrive at Disney World. The only thing we need to keep an eye on is upcoming Christmas crashers."
"Christmas crashers?" A black boy responded to which Moon Girl turned to.
"Yes. Like birthday crashers, but for Christmas instead.".
"While I've taken care of my enemies, but when it comes to other shows, they found out we've been working on this Holiday Express just before we started building it."
"You mean these?" Casey showed Moon Girl her phone.
"Yes, Chip Whistler hijacked this whole express to turn it into their own Wholesome Foods express." With kids gasping from the news itself, Moon Girl looked through the windows from both sides. "The good news is however, they're nowhere in sight, but they told The Green Family they're on their way when they informed us yesterday. Plus I'm in charge of being the lookout outside of the train." She headed back to the door she came in. "Sorry for not entertaining you all, but this is a serious mission to save your Christmas vacation at Disney World."
The moment she prepared to open the door, the kids cheered Moon Girl from all classes in the Holiday Express. To which she smiled as she headed out. She went on top of the train to look out for Chip Whistler. On the TVs, it shows Moon Girl sitting down while giving them the thumbs up. Soon the TV screens turned back to where the passengers left off.
As the Holiday Express was just forty five miles from its destination, the passengers, mainly the kids, were calm after what Moon Girl told them earlier while still enjoying the Holiday Express. Soon enough, four stars appeared in the first class from Amphibia, Sprig, his sister Polly and Anne's parents, Mrs. and Mr. Boonchuy in their Christmas outfits. But they only head their way to the second class to give it some more attention. Upon entering the second class, they only have one microphone in Sprig's possession, but they're gonna turn this Holiday Express into something more.
"Hey everybody. Sprig, Polly, and Anne's parents are here to keep you occupied." Sprig replied. "Now I know what you're thinking, sorry but I didn't get a word from Anne yet." He showed everyone his phone.
Polly grabbed the microphone from her brother to fill in. "The holiday shopping rush really got her and Sasha in the way." She added. "There's more reasons why we Planters don't celebrate Christmas in our world but, let's just say we're anything but Christmas crashers."
Polly gave the microphone to Mrs. Boonchuy while looking at the passengers. "I've gone through so many Holiday shopping rushes when Anne was little, but the day at the Christmas-Palooza parade, she and her friends built the Thai Go float which is..." She stopped herself with a tear coming down from her eye. "My dream is to go out at the parade with the float."
Everyone was touched by Mrs. Boonchuy's words to even imagine the dedication Anne did for her own mother. "But the less said about what happened at the parade, the better." Mr. Boonchuy leaned towards the microphone.
"And on Christmas morning, she gave me this." Mrs. Boonchuy showed everyone the Blue Butterfly. "It's been decades since I've enjoyed Christmas before Anne was born. This gift is what really takes me back from that Christmas."
With the passengers clapping from Mrs. Boonchuy speech, she gave the microphone back to Sprig. "When it comes to me, Polly, and Hop Pop's first Christmas, we had to learn the chaos way of being one of the most stressful holidays but we're still anything but Christmas crashers." He walked up towards the people from the back of the cabin, while showing people a picture from his phone. "This is me and Anne with her holding my gift to her. It wasn't the best gift in the world, but she accepted it."
"Which is what I've learned," Polly walked up to Sprig. "That being with people close enough can still show appreciation."
"Speaking of appreciation," Sprig pointed at Mr. Boonchuy, who was holding a gift box. "Here's our token of appreciation." While Mr. Boonchuy takes out the gifts to the passengers, it was the same gift Anne gave to her mother, but slightly smaller with the same value. "We made many Blue Butterflies for you all to remember this express but even if some of you would take the train to Disney World again, these are not available in stores, only on the Holiday Express."
As Mr. Boonchuy gave the passengers Blue Butterflies one by one, she gave some to Sprig, Polly, and Mrs. Boonchuy to hand them out in the first class. With everyone appreciating the gesture, they were amazed that the model is just the same as Mrs. Boonchuy. When Mr. Boonchuy entered through the third class, Marco from Star Vs. The Forces Of Evil came in the first class and stopped Sprig, Polly, Mrs. Boonchuy from exiting the first class.
"Guys, Moon Girl texted me that Chip Whistler is close to the Express along with Wholesome Squad!" He called.
"What!" Polly reacted.
"Moon Girl better be prepared because-" Sprig gets cut off when a bump is heard from the top of the train.
With the TV screens turning to the POV of Moon Girl's phone, Chip Whistler's bodyguards were ganging up on Moon Girl but luckily, she transformed her hand into a boxing glove to punch one of them, but just when she reaches the third class cabin to enter, more bodyguards appear from the sky while landing right in front of her.
"Woah!" Mr. Boonchuy reacted after hearing the bumps from above. The kids reacted while the door from the back kicked right open, revealing Chip Whistler.
"Here's a Merry Christmas to you all you filthy animals." He grinned while Mr. Boonchuy backed away from him. "I eventually knew when and where this kiddy train was heading but even without the information, I would be one of the only people in this world to find this train."
When Mrs. Boonchuy and the others head inside the third class, they saw Chip taking one Blue Butterfly from a little girl while looking at it closely. "Give that butterfly back to her!" Mrs. Boonchuy called out.
"Why? People would prefer Wholesome Foods' Christmas specialty rather than tourist attractions like you." He then breaks the Blue Butterfly, causing the girl to cry.
"Oh you better not ruin our Holiday Express!" Polly reacted.
"Even if it's by stopping this train, I would still tongue you out!" Sprig unleashed his tongue but Chip dodged it, while grabbing it wearing rubber gloves. He pulled Sprig off the ground while grabbing him by his clothes. He then snapped his fingers as bodyguards appeared from the back door as he handed Sprig to the bodyguards.
"Take out another disgusting tongue and you're being thrown out." Chip said curtly, making a thinly veiled threat.
Not much later, Cricket and Tilly made their way to the third class cabin to aid the Planters and Boonchuys. "Chip, if you ruin our Holiday Express, you're gonna get a coal shaped tooth for Christmas."
"Yeah, like that's ever gonna stop me from taking over this express." He walked up to Cricket, with the Wholesome Squad still holding onto Sprig who was resisting. "You may make a fool out of me from time to time, but you're nothing like a hero. I have full power on this express and no one's gonna stop me."
Just when Chip and the Wholesome Squad headed to the first class to take over the train taking the passengers, the tv screens showed the light lasers of light blue and dark pink from the distance. But it wasn't enough. From the left a portal opened up from the outside of the express door which Dipper immediately opened. Then from above the express while Moon Girl was on the verge of defeat, she and the Wholesome Squad saw something above in the sky. Even during the night, it became visible in a matter of seconds with the dark magic appearing.
"Merry Christmas, suckers!" Luz in her Titan Witch form landed next to Moon Girl, taking the Wholesome Squad by surprise.
"Luz!" A young girl cheered from the second class.
Luz used her titan powers thanks to Stringbean to push the squad off of the express. "NOO!" Chip looking at his bodyguards falling from the express out the window. Then Star Butterfly jumped out of the portal thanks to the dimension scissors. As if it wasn't enough, the light lasers came in from the third class, revealing Anne and Sasha with their calamity powers.
Everyone cheered to see one of the best Disney Channel stars as they surrounded Chip and his goons. "You may have power, but you don't know what power is from destined heroes from Amphibia." Anne walked up to Chip.
"You may have failed to win against your enemies, but you don't stand a chance against us." Sasha added.
"Don't push it, I know who you are!" Chip retorted.
"And I know where all of this is going." Cricket smirked.
As Anne and Sasha pushed Chip and the squad, Star and Marco showed them the dimension portal. "For the record, fights on the express will kick you out to the dimension." Star crossed her arms.
"Especially hijacking trains." Marco added.
"Thanks for the tip, ship show wreckers." Chip rolled his eyes as he and his goons jumped through the portal. Dipper closed the door with the portal disappearing into nothingness, while he and Mabel turned their attention to the passengers.
"I give you." Dipper presents the heroes of the express.
"The Christmas Saviors Of Holiday Express!" Mabel shouted in excitement.
Anne and Sasha turned back into their normal selves, whilst in Santa outfits as well. Moon Girl and Luz, who also turned back into her normal self, entered inside from the third class cabin. Everyone cheered for saving the Holiday Express and the entrance they made.
"We're back from our holiday shopping rush." Sasha replied.
"When we heard that Chip Whistler was taking over this express, we had to rush by...well you know." Anne giggled and so did the passengers.
"They called us and we need to send our most twisted villains away with these." Star showing off her dimensional scissors.
"If only we had those in our show." Tilly said, being mesmerized.
Luz and Moon Girl made their way to the first class as Luz witnessed Amity. "I have my gift." She smiled.
"I don't need to guess who it is for." Amity giggled.
As Luz made her way to her girlfriend, Anne's mother and others also appeared in the first class cabin. Sprig stuck his tongue up in the ceiling, launching himself from the ground, landing in front of Anne. "Merry Christmas Boonchuy Claus!" He grinned.
"And who are you? The first ever frog elf?" Anne smiled.
"I beg to differ." Polly retorted.
"Anne, tell everyone what you and the others are gonna do, since you arrived." Mr Boonchuy replied.
"Yeah. Since we are here, I was thinking that we should sit next to the passengers and watch our favorite Christmas episodes." Anne suggested as the passengers cheered.
"I think we'll take that as a yes." Marco putting his finger in his earplug.
"Big time." Cricket added.
"Well you heard her, let the real Holiday Express begin!" Molly cheered from the front.
For the rest of the trip, stars of Disney Channel watch their Christmas episodes with the passengers they're sitting next to. The passengers didn't think it could get any better but the express itself outdid it again. They wanted this to happen for such a long time and it's only a matter of time to make updates when it comes to feedback.
The Holiday Express arrived at Disney World. The train stopped at the Orlando Amtrak Station where Dipper appeared in the first class, making one last announcement. "Passengers, we have arrived at our destination." He responded. "Thanks for taking The Disney Channel Magical Holiday Express."
The door opened as everyone got out. On their way out, The Disney Channel stars gave out high fives and hugs. With the three classes empty, the express left the train station. The Disney Channel stars go to their exclusive classes to take their break after their performances. "That was...something else." Hailey commented.
"We know how you felt after watching your Christmas episode." Sasha replied.
"I'm surprised that we were allowed to do the hijacking." Marco added. "I thought it was out of the question."
"Maybe some of the people at the company felt bad for us." Casey added.
"That's mostly putting it lightly, judging from what we've been through." Luz taking a drink from her hot cocoa.
"We're not even allowed to kiss in the express." Amity added.
"I would blame it on the company, but I wouldn't take the risk of cancellation." Star added.
"Ok, as much as we went through a lot, this is still our first time doing such an attraction." Dipper replied.
"I wasn't nervous." Cricket biting a biscuit.
"Neither was I," Tilly added.
"Yeah, I wanted to do more especially when we had three hours." Mabel smiled.
"Well the thing is, Disney wants the passengers to relax on their way to Disney World." Mrs. Boonchuy replied. "We can only perform for a small amount of time."
"You're right, but still it was fun for social interaction." Kristine said.
Everyone in the class agreed with each other from Kristine's compliment, but Anne has a confession on what she felt about the whole thing. "Even if I spend less time on this express, it still feels special."
"You can never deny that." Polly commented.
"And from what I've learned by going to Disney World before Amphibia came out, each attraction takes years to put together, and is more expensive than other kinds of attractions."
"And we're paid just enough, but not on the same levels of animated movies." Marcy commented.
"My point is if we're gonna make this work, we should change it up from time to time."
"Like me being the conductor?" Mabel wondered.
"Yes, and we can get more of our friends from our shows to show everyone we're capable of our Holiday Express."
"Including villains?" Moon Girl guessed while smiling.
"If they can allow more powerful villains than Chip Whistler." Cricket replied.
"I couldn't agree more." Molly Mcgee stood up. "When we get back to Jacksonville tomorrow, I should do a speech similar to your mother's as long as-"
"Yes you can have Oliver, but we're still unsure with the whole kissing thing." Anne replied.
"I was actually talking about my family. While having Scratch saving the express."
"That also works."
"Anyway we should relax while watching a Christmas movie." Amity said. "We'll do the plans in the morning."
"Be thankful the company allowed us to do more impromptu actor changes." Star commented. "Disney World doesn't allow that."
"Especially at DisneyLand." Hailey added.
As they turned on their TVs in their class cabins, they watched a Christmas film while the train took them back to their apartments. It was a crazy night, but a successful night to make their goal come true. They await for what the feedback is, but they're aware they didn't make a mistake. It may be the beginning of their attraction, but it'll grow to the point they might run the express outside of Christmas. The Disney Channel stars achieved their goal and now they're doing whatever it takes to give new passengers Magical Holiday Express in the future.

Loud House Moon Goats Christmas Vacation
Tumblr media
After nearly a full month of performing, the Moon Goats are ready to enjoy their Christmas Vacation. Gig after gig, they outdid themselves with awesome Christmas songs they'd written the previous month. It was the time of giving people a new experience in the season of giving, not to mention a rockin 'holiday experience.
At seven am on Christmas Eve, Luna and her band, the Moon Goats arrived at the Royal Woods Mall. They promised Luan, her friends Ruby and Shannon from the Theatre Club, and Leni to help out on Christmas errands at the last minute. Leni took Lily with her to babysit on Christmas Eve with the whole Loud Family making the decision to celebrate Christmas in their own separate ways.
"So your dad was crying all night because this is your first time spending Christmas without your family?" Mazzy asked.
"Yes, you have no idea how many years he wants us to celebrate the holiday." Luna answered.
"But you do realize we haven't come up with an idea of what we can do during Christmas, right?" Sully added.
"Hey, it's not our fault our dad told us to reschedule until our mom gave us the opportunity a couple days ago." Luan said.
"I had to give up on the best Christmas outfit, because our Dad constantly wants me to drop it all because it was getting old." Leni groaned. "I just wanted to be in the Christmas spirit."
"Jeez, talking about sticking to the family tradition forever." Ruby added.
"We don't hate it, we just wanted to do something different for a change." Luna replied. "Though still, I really wanted to do something great with Sam since we couldn't go ice skating with all the skates sold out."
As the group headed their way to the food court, Luna saw Sam sitting alone, waiting. The sad part is despite the gigs she did with the band, she just told her family last night about her skipping family tradition which she's lucky they accepted, as long as she's being honest.
"Hey Sam." Luna walked up to her girlfriend.
"Hi Luna." She responded as Luna sat down. "So...any plans for us?"
"Sorry, but still nothing. To tell you the truth, it has been a busy month outside of our gigs."
"We really wanted to make this special for all of us but then again...this is our first Christmas together." Mazzy added.
"Well you can't expect to have a proper first Christmas for a band like us." Sam replied.
"So are we just gonna spend time in the mall?" Shannon wondered.
"No." Luna replied. "I gotta help Luan and Leni with their Christmas errands soon. And then maybe we can have lunch here."
"I had to work overtime at the Theatre club, so I didn't have time to buy Benny a Christmas present." Luan filling in.
"Were you planning to spend time with him?" Ruby added.
"I would if we had tickets to see a Broadway play of A Christmas Carol, but we don't."
"I gave Gavin his Christmas gift, but he headed down south to celebrate Christmas with his family so, babysitting Lily is all I got." Leni lifted Lily up.
"Lily wants a great Christmas!" Lily shouted.
Soon, Nina and Joey arrived at the food court, seeing the Moon Goats from a distance. "Hey Moon Goats!" She called their attention.
"Nina! Joey!" Sully smiled.
"It's great to see you two." Mazzy added.
"Well after she helped me with the tuba audition from the Christmas parade last week, I decided to help her pay for the Christmas Snickerdoodles." Joey replied.
"I'm in a snickerdoodle mood this year." Nina replied.
"That's nice." Sam smiled. "But we're trying to find our mood, since we have no plans for Christmas."
"We're not doing our family traditions this year unlike the last few years." Luna filling in. "Do you have any ideas?"
"We can do some Christmas carols." Nina offered.
"That'll take time." Joey said.
"Yeah, we all have been doing so many gigs, we didn't have time to listen to Christmas Carols." Sully replied.
"Don't you guys know you can do other activities during Christmas?" Shannon filling in. "Like sure, the Theatre Club does singing as well, but maybe there are other activities."
"She's right." Luan filling in. "How about when we do our errands, we find someone who could give us some inspiration."
"Yeah, you're right." Luna standing up. "But on Christmas Eve, it has to be a fast one."
Luna, Luan, and Leni left the food court, while the group stayed behind. They headed to the costume store to find Leni not only a costume for herself, but also Lily in her size. After picking a sparkling red and white Santa outfit and an elf costume for Lily, they paid for the two outfits as they headed out of the store.
"Why wouldn't you wanna see Sam in a Santa outfit?" Leni wondered.
"Because she told me I would look better in one." Luna answered. "The last time I wore a Santa outfit was when I was eight."
"Yeah, we remember that when you sang so many Christmas songs." Luan smiled. "Do you have Sam's Christmas gift?"
"Yes but it's in our bedroom. I didn't bring it with me because I was saving it for tomorrow. I know how thrilled she would've been if she found out what it is."
"Did she tell you what she likes?" Leni added.
"No, I picked up on hints during our time together, it's a surprise."
"Ohhh..." Luan, Leni, and Lily responded.
"You two would do the same, don't overdo it."
"Hey, there's nothing wrong with savoring the moment when it happens." Leni smiled.
"Yeah." Lily added.
"Though still, we really need to find someone to get an idea on what we're gonna do today." Luna looking around. She then noticed Lori's friend Carol hanging out with Becky after coming out from the camping store. She made her way to the two while her sisters followed suit. "Carol!"
Carol and Becky turned their attention to Luna but little did the rockstar know, they were planning to leave. "Luna?" Carol replied.
"I know this isn't really the time, but I want to spend Christmas with not only my band, but also Sam. Do you have any ideas?"
"Luna, we're actually on a strict schedule right now." Becky replied. "Nothing personal, but tonight is really gonna be special."
"What, does it have something to do with your families?"
Carol and Becky looked at each other and went back to Luna again. "No." Carol responded. "We're gonna be watching the stars tonight."
Upon hearing their plans, Luna just found the inspiration she needs. "Wait, there's gonna be stars tonight? Like real stars?"
"Yes, we're gonna go to the forest while the stars appear above the frozen lake."
"For the last few days, we've decorated the trees at the location and all that's left is for winter camping supplies." Becky said, showing the supply bag.
"Wait, what do you mean by winter camping?" Luan wondered.
"The stars only appear at midnight." Carol answered. "Once we get to our destination, we're gonna set up our camping tents and sleep out there after watching the stars."
"That's...really awesome!" Luna cheered.
"Shooting stars during Christmas!?" Leni squealed. "How I didn't think of that before!?"
"It's called the Geminid Meteor Shower." Carol answered. "Usually it only appears a few days ago, but after the forecast news earlier this month, midnight could be bigger than that."
Luna couldn't pick a better opportunity for the best Christmas on her own. Even if she didn't experience the Geminid Meteor Shower in her life, she wonders how Sam would react upon the stars from the sky.
"Luna, you need to understand this isn't gonna be easy, not even a bit."
"You see, the weather is getting colder and it's gonna be a long night." Becky added.
"Yeah...I didn't forget the time we got stuck in Burpin' Burger to find the winning wrapper for Lana. The snow was that cold."
"We would've been burping icicles if things got worse." Luan added.
"Well you better get the equipment if you really want to see the stars." Carol replied. "Here's where you need to be." She showed Luna her phone on the destination where she and Becky are heading. Luna immediately took a picture from her phone as she's ready to tell Sam and the others their Christmas plans.
"Is Lori and Bobby gonna be there?" Leni wondered.
"No. I did offer, but they already had plans but luckily, Lori told me she found a way to get two other people to come along."
"They're probably already there right now, they really love the location." Becky added.
"Well, Lori is literally missing out on the best midnight in years." Luna grinned. "I'll do whatever it takes to get there."
"It's not that far away, it's just two miles from the road." Carol added. "I will say, I'm looking forward to seeing Sam. I've heard good things about her." This caused Luna to blush which Carol giggled. "Always the shy girlfriend who smiles especially during Christmas."
"She can't help herself." Leni replied while Lily giggled.
Carol and Becky walked past Luna and her sisters to head out of the mall. Luna took a deep breath, while focusing on her goal. "Okay, I'm gonna go to our band to tell them we're going winter camping tonight to see the stars at midnight!"
"You sure this is gonna work out?" Luan wondered.
"I'm sure, it's a once in a lifetime chance for me and the band. I promise I'll get back to you with the errands." Luna headed straight back to the food court while Leni, Lily and Luan looked at each other.
"I'm sure the stars are gonna be pretty like the New Year's fireworks." Leni commented.
"If Luna's taking her band, I'm taking Ruby, Shannon, and my boyfriend Benny along." Luan smiled. "Though it is sad Gavin isn't here to watch the stars with you."
"Nah, I can send him selfies with the stars behind me. He'll be impressed."
"But I am worried about Sam, I'm sure she'll enjoy the stars if what Carol said is true."
"If she is, should we give Luna a surprise from her girlfriend?"
Leni lidded her eyes while looking at Lily. If everything turns out great in the end, she'll make Luna and Sam's midnight the best Christmas ever. She heads back to the costume store to buy Luna and Sam outfits.
After Luna's band agreed to the plan, they began their shopping rush in the mall for the accessories, especially finishing Luan's errands. Upon leaving, the Moon Goats texted their closest friends to tag along on their journey. With one stop at Luna's place to pick up Sam's Christmas present, they made their way to the forest where Carol and Becky were heading. Chuck took the Moon Goats on the road through the forest. After the snowstorm, every tree in the forest is covered in snow to the point where Carol, Becky and others had to clear a pathway to head to the frozen lake, especially when the snow from the trees constantly fell on the ground.
Chunk parked his van on the edge of the road with the Moon Goats heading out, while taking out their accessories. "We're here." Chunk getting out from the driver's seat. "You sure this is gonna be worth it? It's still close to noon."
"We can do something by the frozen lake." Mazzy smiled.
"Then again, winter camping is like summer camping, but colder." Sully commented.
"It's still worth seeing the stars at midnight." Nina replied.
"It's gonna be awesome mate." Tabby hugging Nina.
Then Leni along with Lily, Luan, Ruby, Shannon, and the Moon Goat's friends parked Vanzilla behind the Moon Goat's van. When they got out, Leni and Luan headed straight to Luna who took out her camping gear.
"We're here!" Leni smiled.
"So this is where we're going?" Luan looked at the cleared pathway.
"It seems like it." Luna replied.
"I have to say, I'm mostly wondering what we're gonna do before midnight." Shannon walked up behind Luan.
"We could go skating, but we don't have ice skates." Sam answered. "Then again, camping in the winter is what's on my mind."
"The only thing we can do is make the best out of it." Benny commented.
"You're right." Joey added.
As Luna and the group head through the open pathway, a broadcast TV truck also parked at the edge of the road, revealing Katherine Mulligan, her niece Adeline in her baby leash and her TV crew. "This could be it." She got out of the truck. "On Christmas morning, it will be the best Christmas report any broadcast has ever seen."
As the TV crew took out the camping and broadcast equipment, they headed in the pathway to reach the frozen lake. The two miles Luna and the group took wasn't as stressful as they thought. Even if they had to carry heavy camping equipment, they made sure to put their full focus on setting up their camping spots. Nina, Tabby, Ruby, and Shannon were way in the back carrying food and drinks.
"Have you ever imagined what it would be like to see the Geminid Meteor Shower, but bigger?" Shannon asked.
"It'll possibly be a once in a lifetime event, if it's true." Ruby commented.
"Hey, once in a lifetime opportunities should always be taken." Nina smiled. "Who knows, we would probably be the only people to see that during midnight."
"Those people who rejected the idea don't know what they're missing." Tabby added. "You have no idea how thrilled I am right now!"
"So am I, and I'm wondering how Luna is gonna handle this with Sam."
In the front of the group, Luna, Sam, Luan, Benny, and Leni are leading the group with much of the camping supplies. With the rest of Luna's friends from behind, Luna knew she would make it as far upon arriving. But with so much time until midnight, she not only needs to keep herself occupied, but also Sam and the others.
"Sam." Luna spoke to her girlfriend's attention.
"Yes?" Sam responded.
"When we set up our tents, what do you think we should do during our spare time?"
"Well when you showed me the map, all there was a frozen lake. There was nothing close to it aside from the tents."
"Maybe we can ask Carol or Becky when we're there." Luan replied.
"They probably went somewhere other than staying by their tents." Benny added.
"The only thing we could do since we can't go skating is hiking, but during the winter with snow?" Leni blinked. "No fashion show would approve of that."
"I still want to make a snowman!" Lily said.
"Don't worry, I promised we would do it today."
"If we find a way to do something exciting, even at the last minute, we can do it together." Luna slightly smiled.
"Okay, no matter what it is, at least we're spending Christmas together." Sam smiled back.
"Yeah, I know."
In a matter of time, they arrive by the frozen lake with the tents set up with tons of open spots. During the summer, nobody swam in the lake with other lakes slightly farther away being bigger but during the winter, the ice is stronger in smaller lakes than the bigger lakes. As the whole group walked past the tents, they saw Carol and Becky right in front of their tent.
"Luna." Carol took notice of her group's arrival.
"We're here." Luna replied.
"Where can we set up our tents?" Mazzy asked.
"Over there." Becky pointed.
"Thanks." Sully walking past.
It took them time to set their tents up along with the supplies and Christmas gifts, but with the help from Carol and Becky, they followed on really easily. With all the tents, each being shared by two people, the rest of Luna's group relaxed while having some drinks.
"So you two sleep with your winter clothes on?" Joey asked to which Carol nodded.
"Sleeping in a winter tent that isn't necessary when a regular tent is more convenient." Becky replied. "But during a snowstorm, there's a reason why winter campsites don't exist."
"Technically we're making one, but we're not running a camping business." Carol added.
"Well, at least we have the right tools to go through the night." Sam spoked.
"Though we're wondering," Luna replied. "Do you two plan to do anything until the Geminid Meteor Shower comes at midnight?"
"Nothing at all." Becky answered.
"We've been focusing on this whole winter camp along with the whole tree decorating, we just want to make sure we don't miss the stars." Carol replied.
Luna felt speechless of the lack of activities Carol and Becky do aside from winter camping. Of course her hearing about how hard setting up camp felt exaggerated. "It's not even one o'clock and we have eleven hours from now until then."
"We weren't sure okay, just because this is all your first time doesn't mean we've done this before."
"Only a few families saw the Geminid Meteor Shower in Royal Woods." Becky said. "Anyone who denies it just prefers normal camping, that's for any season except winter."
"Well, it seems you can do more in normal camping but still, we can at least do something to use up all that spare time." Sam replied. "There should be something we can do that's close to us."
When Carol looked at the map from her phone, Luna and everyone by the frozen lake saw Katherine Mulligan and her TV crew making their way. "Katherine Mulligan?" Luna blinked.
"The Moon Goats." Katherine smiled. "Didn't expect we would meet again after you performed on Kat Chat." As the TV crew moved past them to set up their winter tents, Luan and Leni, who picked up Lily, walked up next to Luna and Sam.
"Looks like the tv broadcast might be capturing the moment." Luan said.
"Correct. And in the morning, we're going back to the TV station and giving families a great Royal Woods Morning News."
"Wow, talk about doing a service for missing Christmas just for an amazing Geminid Meteor Shower experience." Leni commented.
"They already show it on TV, just not the bigger one." Joey replied.
"Anyway, I'm planning on going sightseeing with my niece soon. It may not be enough in my mind, but my crew are still setting up the TV equipment, especially our broadcast camera." Katherine said.
"I don't blame you, we've all early here." Becky commented. "Then again, we made the choice to be here rather with our families so...this is our price we have to deal with."
"Wait!" Carol called as she headed back to the group. "There's a building close by but it's on top of a hill."
"On top of a hill?" Luna responded.
"I don't know what it is but considering we have a lot of time, we can check it out."
"Perfect! I can give Adeline great sightseeing along with capturing it on video." Katherine said happily, picking up her niece.
"Well at least it's still something." Sam turned to Luna.
"I'm mostly wondering what we can do on the hill, especially the building." Luna wondered.
"Then let's go already." Sully said, standing up from the ground. While the rest of the group relax by the frozen Lake, Luna, the Moon Goats, her sisters, Carol, Becky, Benny, Katherine along with her niece and a cameraman made their way to the nearby hill. After going through the forest from the other side from where they came from, they got out where they saw the hill by the open field. It wasn't as big as they thought so they couldn't see it by the frozen lake.
Upon heading up the hill, they noticed snow steps from two people who went up there. Luna remembered the size of the snow steps, she still remembers the time she had a snow day without school, spending time with her siblings, and remembering the sizes of their footsteps. She may not be an expert like Lisa but she still knows her siblings in some aspects when it comes to size.
"We're almost there." Chunk panted.
With Luna and her siblings reaching to the top, the building is a medium size cabin with a garage on the right. It wasn't the best cabin in the world, but the most cozy at this time of year.
"It's just a cabin?" Becky took notice after reaching the top.
"Well that's a bummer." Luan commented. "But I wonder who's inside."
"Let's not bother them." Sam replied. "If they're staying for the Geminid Meteor Shower, they really rented the money here and not wasted a cent of it."
"I would do the same to be honest." Carol said.
When Luna followed the snow steps from the left side of the cabin, she saw two kids on the edge of the hill, but one of them she recognized very well. "Bro?"
The kid turned around after hearing the B word from someone who calls him that everytime. "Luna?"
"Lincoln!" Luna smiled as she ran up to him. "I didn't expect to spend my Christmas to see you." She then saw Girl Jordan and was surprised to see her. "And your happy Christmas angel." She lidded her eyes, causing her brother to blush.
"Hey, I also didn't expect to meet you out here to see the stars." Lincoln reacted.
"Lincoln, everyone called me and my friends Christmas angels." Girl Jordan said, walking up next to him.
"I even heard when you and her were video chatting, she called you the Gildor Elf." Leni smiled as Lily giggled.
"Guys stop!" Lincoln continued to blush harder.
"Aww! You didn't tell me?" Luan looking at Leni. "I could've come up with a great pun."
"Okay, everyone give him a break." Carol chiming in. "Lincoln and Girl Jordan were the ones Lori talked about and they agreed."
"We were planning on just spending Christmas apart since we did a lot this month, but Girl Jordan wanted to see the stars with me tonight, so here I am." Lincoln presented himself.
"Geez, everyone has last minute decisions." Benny commented.
"It's still our first time watching the Geminid Meteor Shower together with it being bigger than normal. I can't imagine how breathtaking it will be." Girl Jordan replied.
As Katherine and her cameraman reached the top of the hill, her niece cheered from the view on all sides. "This is perfect!" She smiled. "Get the camera ready!"
Luna, Carol, and Lincoln walked up from the edge of the hill while looking at the view in the distance. Nina went past the group to see Luna next to her brother while Girl Jordan took notice. "Is that a new member of your band?" Girl Jordan asked.
"Well, temporary member." Sam answered.
"She looks really cool."
"Thanks, I don't usually get those compliments from fans." Nina smiled.
"Hey, even non-fans can give out honest gestures." Sully added.
"Though I'm wondering what's with the cabin here."
When the group turned to the cottage itself, they agreed with what Sam said but when Sam got close to the window, she noticed it's empty in the living room. "I don't think anyone's here."
"Really?" Girl Jordan seeing through the window. "Yeah, there's no one inside?"
"But it doesn't look dusty at all." Nina also joined in.
Mazzy reached to the front door to open it, but found it to be locked. "We still need a key though."
"What about the garage?" Joey pointed. "Because I don't think it's very heavy, we might push the garage door up."
"Yeah, let's give it a try." Tabby cheered as the group headed to the garage.
Back from the edge of the hill, Luna told Lincoln everything on why she and her band are here. Of course Lincoln would've been in the same position as her sister but his relationship with Girl Jordan isn't the same as Sam's.
"Luna, when you say this is your first time spending Christmas with Sam, did you expect more from it?" Lincoln asked.
"Everyone wants their first Christmas with someone more than better." Luna replied. "If ice skating was my option, I would still want more from it."
"Even me and Becky, which is why we decorated the trees by the frozen lake." Carol added.
"Well, I can't say I would've felt the same way. Girl Jordan wanted to do more before we came here." Lincoln looked in the distance.
"Hey, the only thing I remember from last year is you and her having turtle doves. Don't act like she missed Christmas when she was born."
Lincoln turned to his sister after hearing the complement. "It did feel like that."
"Hey, I didn't get a chance to sit on Santa's lap until I was seven." Carol retorted. "When do you get a chance to sit on his lap?"
"Four years old?"
"Exactly!"
"What? I wasn't rubbing it in your face."
This causes Carol to lean down face to face with Lincoln. "Kids do that when they get their chance. They're not like my friends."
"Was it a bad experience?"
"We all grew up thinking that Santa was real." Carol leaned back while noticing that everyone except Katherine and her cameraman were gone. "Where is everybody?"
The three headed to the front of the cabin and saw Nina, Girl Jordan, Tabby, Sully, and Mazzy push the garage opener up. "We got it!" Nina smiled while they witnessed the inside.
"There's tons of sleighs in here." Tabby looking at the stack of sleighs.
"We can definitely slide down the hill with these." Girl Jordan smiled.
When Luna, Carol, and Lincoln headed to the front of the garage, Nina and the others took one medium size sleigh and walked past them. "There's sleighs inside?" Luna reacted.
"Yeah, we can ride down the hill to pass the time." Sam replied.
"That's actually really great." Lincoln jumped in thrilled. "I'll help you carry the sleigh Girl Jordan." He heads to ad Girl Jordan as most of the sleighs, small and medium, are out of the garage.
"You're thinking about sliding down with Sam?" Carol asked while they saw Sam taking another medium size sleigh out. "It's not skiing, but it's still riding down the hill."
"I do, it's just..." Luna stepped into the garage. "It's not the Christmas moment I wanted with her. Midnight is the moment, but sleighing isn't really what I had in mind to pass the time."
"It's not like it's wasting your time." Carol walked next to her. "I make the best out of using my time on anything that comes my way."
"That's easy for you to say, all I have is my gift to her."
Carol turned around to see Sam nowhere in her sight, outside of the garage. "What did you bring her?" She turned back to Luna.
"A light blue and yellow rockstar guitar pendant." Luna answered. "I couldn't find anything better like a new guitar or something else, so I went to the jewelry store where I found the pendant."
"That's...really unlikely of you to do that."
"I didn't get the choice to go out of Royal Woods. The women who worked there stated that the pendent's rare and I was lucky that they had her name on top of the guitar." When she took a deep breath, Nina overheard everything while hiding by the garage door.
Just when Luna headed out, Nina got out of the way while heading inside. She wanted to make things better between her and Sam, but it requires a lot more for them to spend quality time. But when she turned around, she saw two pairs of ice skates that are the right sizes for Luna and Sam. "This is perfect for her and Sam."
She headed to Katherine who her cameraman finished setting up and preparing to record. When she slightly pulled on her winter jacket, Katherine took notice as Nina whispered into her eye. Katherine liked the idea so much, she was willing to have it included on television. "I like the way you think, kid." She smiled.
Nina headed back to the group who all set up their sleighs. She shared a sleigh with Tabby from the front and Becky from the back. Leni, Luan, and Benny all shared one with Lily in front. Carol shared hers with Lincoln and Girl Jordan with her right in front of them, Chuck had his own sleigh for himself, Sully and Mazzy all shared one as Luna and Sam sat on their own sleigh.
"Are we all ready?" Carol asked, holding onto Lincoln.
"I'm ready when you are." Mazzy responded.
"We can do this as many times as we want, we have a lot of time." Becky added.
"This is gonna be exciting." Sam responded. "I did this with my brother last year, but not on this high of a hill."
When Luna looked straight down, it was a bigger hill then expected. If people walked up here, they're would be no way of them sliding down. "Yeah, he'll probably be exhausted by going up the hill several times."
"Would you?" Sam turned to Luna.
"Probably, if the hill wasn't so big."
"You'll be like my brother, even though you're in shape."
With everyone in their sleighs, they pushed them down the hill with Leni and Carol's coming down first. Becky and Sully came second while Luna and Chuck's came down last. "See you at the bottom, mates!" He called while sliding down.
The speed of Luna and Sam's sleigh due to the height of the hill was beyond what they expected. The two tried to hold on with the speed of their sleigh being much faster. They went past Becky which took her and the others by surprise.
"Whoa!" Becky reacted.
"They're going down fast!" Tabby shouted.
Soon Luna and Sam went past Benny and the Loud sisters. "Luuuunaaa!" Lily pointed and just in the nick of time, she received a high five from Luna.
"Wow, they're going really fast." Benny reacted.
"They're coming up by Carol." Leni replied.
When Carol, Lincoln, and Girl Jordan are focused on the end of the hill, they didn't pay attention to Luna and Sam who went flying past them. Just when they saw them, they reached the end of the hill with their sleighs slowing down. Luna and Sam turned their sleighs to the right to stop as the others stopped their sleighs.
"You beat us!" Lincoln getting out of the sleigh.
"We thought we would've been the first to stop." Girl Jordan added.
"I guess we were lighter than all of you." Sam giggled. "It's disappointing, but it's still not a race."
"And it was still fun!" Luna said. "If Lana was here sliding with Bobbie Fletcher, I would love to see the look on her face."
"Hmm, confident are you?" Carol smiled while raising an eyebrow. "If you participate in the skiing event at the olympics, let's see who's the more confident one."
With the other people stopping, they were amazed to see Luna and Sam sliding past them. "That was amazing!" Luan getting out of her sleigh.
"I want to do it again!" Tabby reacted.
"Should we get the others to slide down?" Leni offered.
"Sure if you go get them." Chuck picking his sleigh up.
The group continued to go back up the hill and slide down. Leni went back to the frozen lake and brought more people to join in. For the next hour, they continued to slide down the hill while Katherine recorded them. Not long until she and her niece took a turn, sliding down with Adeline cheering in excitement. Luna and Sam were having a blast sliding down multiple times. When everyone took their final slide down the hill, they reached back up to return the sleighs in the garage while heading back to the frozen lake. However when Nina became the last person to put her sleigh back, she took the two pairs of ice skates and followed the group.
When they made their way back to the frozen lake, they decide to take a break with the amount of time they still have. Nina sneakily went into her tent to keep the pair of ice skates a secret from Luna and Sam. But after she got out, Luan, Leni, Lincoln, and Lily spotted her.
"Were you carrying something?" Lincoln replied.
"Yes, but it's a surprise." Nina answered.
"Oh, that's totes a coincidence, because we already have a surprise for our sister Lu-" Luan covered Leni's mouth.
"Leni, don't blurt it out loud." Luan said.
"You also have a surprise?" Nina blinked.
"Yes?"
"What's this all about?" Lincoln replied.
With Lincoln being the only one not keeping secrets, the rock girl and sisters had to confess to each other. "We brought Christmas outfits for Luna and Sam." Leni answered.
"And I was carrying two pairs of ice skates from that hill we just went on." Nina answered. "It's mainly for Luna and Sam."
"As in, the two skating together on the frozen lake?" Lincoln asked as Nina nodded. Lincoln wanted to help out his rock and roll sister, but for how his sisters and Nina were setting everything up in secret, he wondered how Luna would react upon the moment's arrival.
"We've brought dresses for Luna being dressed up as Mrs. Claus while...it's a surprise for what Sam's gonna wear." Leni confessed.
"The Geminid Meteor Shower didn't feel like enough for her, so we wanted to make it better. It's almost a Christmas miracle she hasn't found out yet." Luan commented. "Then again, we didn't even prepare for the two at the last minute."
"Seems you didn't think of the idea of them skating together." Lincoln said, catching on to what was going on.
"If we did, we would've planned everything out. But I couldn't afford two pairs of ice skates." Leni said.
"If I took that opportunity alone, it would take me weeks, maybe even months to make it work between her and Sam." Nina commented.
When Lincoln looks at Luna who's hanging out with her band, including Sam, there's still lots of time before midnight arrives. Even with the trees decorated, he may find a way to make Luna's Christmas with Sam better.
"Be right back." Lincoln saw Girl Jordan hanging out Carol and Becky who were testing the Christmas lights. When he got her attention from behind, he whispered into her ear while keeping an eye on Luna and Sam not spotting him. Girl Jordan found the idea perfect as she joined in on Lincoln's plan. When they come back to the sisters and Nina, there's only one way to make Luna's Christmas better. "Let's do some more errands."
"Perfect." Nina agreed.
"Let's get this show on the road." Luan smiled.
"I can drive...but I'm low on payments." Leni added while Lily giggled.
Lincoln, his sisters, Girl Jordan and Nina, made their way to the exit from where they came from, only for Luna to take notice. "Hey!" Luna called as she walked up to them. "Where are you all going?"
"More sightseeing, since we still have lots of time before the meteor shower."
"We'll be back before night time." Luan said.
"We're mostly impatient, staying here isn't gonna occupy us for that long." Nina replied.
"I don't blame you, but I'm not risking the chances of missing the meteor shower at midnight." Luna looked up at the sky. "Hope you all get back."
"We will." Leni spoked.
The group headed back to Vanzilla to drive to stores outside of the forest. It took them to four separate stores to search for the stuff they're looking for. It took them all afternoon, but they managed to get everything that they needed. During their trip, Girl Jordan came up with an idea that'll make Sam more pleased when it eventually happens, just like what Lincoln did for her last year.
Nina managed to rent more pairs of ice skates for the people by the frozen lake for one night, but at the same time, she'll do more with them knowing that Katherine Mulligan wants her Christmas report to be memorable. Of course, she doesn't want everyone to stay off of the frozen lake, leaving Luna and Sam all alone before the meteor shower arrives.
By the time they headed back, it was starting to get dark out with the sun setting below the horizon. Even with only six hours left until the moment itself arrives, they still have enough time to set up the moment between Luna and Sam. Luan texted her boyfriend, Ruby, and Shannon on their plan for Luna, to which they accepted. Upon arriving back by the frozen lake, most of the trees around are lit up with each tree having one set of colors while some have multiple colors. It wasn't the best Carol and Becky set up, but for their first time, they at least contributed.
Luna and Sam both came out of their tents while taking notice of her brother, sisters and Nina coming back. They both walked up to them after five hours being away as Luna's becoming inpatient despite keeping on track of time. "You're finally back." Luna replied.
"I told you we'd be back by nightfall." Luan replied.
"Is there anything else you're gonna do until midnight?" Girl Jordan asked.
"Not much, we did spend time with the band performing songs...despite no instruments." Sam said.
When the group turned to the frozen lake, Luan and Nina turned to Benny who popped his head out of the tent. "That's good, hey Sam, is it okay if you can do an activity with Luan's friends?" Nina pointed at the tent just as Benny got back in.
"Sure, it'll keep me occupied for a little while." Sam made her way to the tent.
"Speaking of activities, me and the Moon Goats are all out of options. Then again the whole meteor shower is really testing my patience."
"Then how about we do something together in our tent?" Leni offered and Lily cheered.
"Even sisters need to keep themselves occupied." Luan smiled.
"Okay." Luna smiled as she and her sisters headed into their tent.
"Okay, you two tell everyone about our plan, but remind them to not tell Luna and Sam." Nina spoke to the preteens.
"We got everything under control." Lincoln smiled.
"Especially the unexpected moments." Girl Jordan lidded her eyes.
Lincoln and Girl Jordan reached everyone by the frozen lake, while Nina hid the surprises behind one of the tents when the moment arrived. For the next five hours, it's getting close to midnight, just thirty minutes away. It was a quiet time while Luna and Sam remained inside their tents. Carol and Becky looked up at the sky with tons of stars.
"The meteor shower should be coming in half an hour." Becky commented.
"The meteors from last week were smaller, but bigger?" Carol wondered. "Science and the solar system can be unpredictable."
"At least it's not an asteroid crashing into earth at unpredictable speed levels."
Katherine and her crew are at their tv set up, while Katherine is keeping her niece occupied. Everyone who's outside of their tents are waiting for the meteors to come past them, all except Luna, Sam, her sisters and Luan's boyfriend and friends.
"Wow, this Christmas outfit is perfect for me." Luna looking at her reflection from Leni's mirror.
"Does it take you back to your childhood?" Leni smiled.
"Yeah, minus the sparkles. And the ice stakes." Luna looked down at her boots.
"Don't worry, I've heard that the ice in the lake is really strong, thanks to the snowstorm." Luan added.
"You mean you want me to ice skate on the frozen lake?"
"It's not hard to get used to."
"What about Sam, is she also gonna ice skate?"
"Yep." Leni replied. "I bet she'll be surprised when she sees you in that outfit."
Luna can tell where this is going, but not catching on completely on her sister's plan. Especially since her girlfriend Sam is in the other tent hanging out with Luan's classmates. In the other tent, Ruby and Shannon took their time to put Sam in her outfit, but compared to Luna's, it was a bit harder to do.
"Is this really necessary? It's really cold outside." Sam said while shaking.
"It's only for tonight." Benny replied.
"Besides, doesn't it look great?" Ruby commented.
"I'm not gonna lie, it makes me stand out as a beautiful girl during the Christmas season." Sam looked at her outfit.
"If only we could rent them for Theatre Club plays." Shannon said, being mesmerized at the outfit.
"I'm still on the fence with the whole ice skating thing. I did take lessons, especially pairing with a partner, but on the frozen lake, aren't other people gonna ice skate?"
"In a little bit." Ruby answered. "Trust us, you won't regret this."
"It's just, I thought this would've been an appropriate time to do it earlier than thirty minutes before the shower starts."
"It's not like you're gonna miss it when you're outside like everyone else."
"I can guarantee that you won't fall when the meteors shoot past." Benny said. "If you're good at ice skating, you should be able to keep your balance with your partner."
Sam soon picked up the pieces with one more question in mind. "Who is my partner, by the way?"
"Take a wild guess." Both Ruby and Shannon smiled while Sam lidded her eyes. By the look on their faces, she won't jinx the moment of the partner she's skating with.
Back outside, Lincoln and Girl Jordan stand together in front of Luna's tent while Nina and Joey stand together in front of Sam's tent. fifteen minutes have passed with only fifteen minutes until midnight. With the people in Royal Woods sleeping until Christmas morning, people by the frozen lake aren't wasting their opportunity. A difficult night for first timers, but worth the wait. The Moon Goats along with their friends are sitting as a group, staying on time but also witnessing an ice skating show like from TV but by teenagers.
Luan popped her head out of her tent while Benny popped his head out of his. They gave each other a thumbs up while turning to Lincoln and Nina, giving them the thumbs up indicating that Luna and Sam are ready. Upon the signal, Lincoln and Girl Jordan lifted up a red curtain with pulls on each end to prevent Luna having eye contact with Sam. As for Nina and Joey, they have a white curtain to do the same with Sam.
Carol and Becky took notice of Luna coming out, they've heard about what Lincoln told them earlier and they're gonna join in on the view. "Would you be willing to give two of them an announcement? Like from an ice skating show?" Becky asked.
"Keeping them anonymous makes the show better, this isn't professional ice skating." Carol replied.
Luan and Leni helped Luna stepping on the frozen lake due to her ice skates. With Sam getting the assistance from Ruby and Shannon, the two groups reached the center of the lake and crossed paths. They remain still with Leni and Luan letting go of Luna. "You're ready for this?" Luan backed away.
"I think I can handle this from here." Luna grinned. "I'll love the look on Sam's face when she sees me in this." Sam quietly giggled with Ruby, after hearing what Luna just said. In the right moment, Lincoln and Girl Jordan moved out of the way with their curtain while Nina and Joey did the same. "Merry Christmas Sa-"
Upon seeing Sam in full view, she cut herself off, with her heart pounding. Sam wore an ice crystal sequin patterned outfit, being much more shiny compared to Luna's. Even without any make up, she still stands out more beautiful than Luna, who's the only person wearing a Santa hat. "Ha, Merry Christmas Luna." She giggled.
"That...outfit...is gorgeous!" Luna reacted. "I never thought I would ever say that!"
"And your outfit is adorable."
Luna was shaking, while Leni and Luan kept an eye on her in case she fell over. "Just stay in the moment." Luan leaned towards her sister.
"And backing out is the last thing people do during Christmas." Leni added.
"I'm aware." Luna responded.
"We should let them take it from here." Shannon replied.
"Okay." Ruby smiled. "The lake's all yours."
With the girls getting off the frozen lake, Luna and Sam stared at each other. With the sky filled with stars, Sam took Luna's hand as she moved herself, skating with Luna behind her. Luna saw the way Sam skated from the movements of her legs. She kept her balance as Sam turned to her right.
"It's not skiing, but it's still something." Luna is still distracted from Sam's dress.
"Don't worry, this is just for fun, I'm not expecting you to be an expert." Sam replied. "If we were skiing on a hill, I wouldn't want to see you do a flip of some sort, because you would end up crashing down."
"I've been thinking the same thing."
"Then again, I would've crashed if I was trying to save you."
"Still would do the same thing."
The two giggled while they continued to skate on the ice. With the tree lights glowing around the frozen lake, it felt like skating through a garden at a holiday light show. Even in staying in one place, Sam couldn't believe how hard Carol and Becky worked by decorating the trees. Luna may seem better when it comes to decorations, but she can't deny the place itself is beautiful.
"I want to know." Sam spoked. "I know we're gonna do well in the new year but...what do you bring me for Christmas?"
Luna didn't forget to bring Sam's gift, but on the other hand, she was planning to give it to her on Christmas morning after making the choice to sleep inside her tent. "Do you want me to give it to you now, instead of in the morning?"
"It's almost Christmas, besides, I'm willing to give you mine."
From the gesture of her girlfriend's holiday spirit, Luna made up her mind as she let go of Sam. She made her way to the Moon Goats with Sam stopping herself. "Go get my gift to Sam and hers to me, we're gonna open them tonight."
"No problem." Sully replied, heading into their tents.
"I'm gonna love to see this." Chunk crossing his arms.
"So do we all." Mazzy added as she gets Sam's gift. In no time, Sully and Mazzy got out Luna and Sam's gifts to each other. Upon giving them to Luna, Luna skated back to Sam and handed her gift to her. Katherine and her crew are recording every second of Luna and Sam's skating on the frozen lake and now, they're having the moment together. "This is gonna break ratings for teenage Christmas spirit!" Katherine cheered. "Zoom in on them!" The cameraman followed Katherine's order as the camera zoomed in on Luna and Sam.
"I want to open mine before you open yours." Luna replied.
"Okay." Sam smiled.
While standing still, Luna opened up her gift. Upon ripping the wrapping paper, they're Mick Swagger style headphones with Mick Swagger's face sticking out. "Mick Swagger headphones?" Luna smiled.
"I knew they were rare to find, so me and my mom searched outside of Royal Roods to find them. You can't imagine how hard it was to find them."
The appreciation of searching for a rare gift made Luna impressed, but at the same time, she couldn't do the same by going out of Royal Woods. "Speaking of Royal Woods, my gift isn't from out of town. But I did what I could to find something you'll enjoy."
"It's fine." As Sam looked at her gift, it's smaller compared to Luna's. She did receive smaller gifts in her life especially from her birthdays, but never expected one from Luna. Luna paid attention to Sam as she ripped the wrapping paper from her fingers. With the wrapping paper off, it's revealed to be a small box exclusive to necklaces which took her off guard. She took the top of the box off and saw the guitar pendant.
"Is that...a rockstar pendant...with my favorite colors?" She stuns in disbelief.
"It was mostly a last minute choice, I couldn't think of anything else." Luna slightly smiled. "I was thinking of picking out jewelry and I came across that."
Sam took the pendant out of the box and found it mesmerizing. Thanks to the Christmas lights all around, the reflections on the pendant were beyond beautiful. The guitar, while not the real thing, is fully detailed, as if there wasn't a single spot that was off. When she put the chain on her neck, it was better than how Luna imagined it in her mind.
"So...do you find it good?" Luna asked.
"It's more than good. It's perfect." Sam turned to Luna. "I'm not really into jewelry, but this really fits me."
Meanwhile, Nina checked on her watch that it was close to midnight, it was time for her to head behind the tents. With her running past Lincoln and Girl Jordan, it was also they're clue to do their own thing to make Luna's moment with Sam better.
"I'm glad that you like it." Luna smiled.
"I'll try to find one similar to this, but with your colors."
"I can help you with that, we don't have to wait until my birthday, that's still eight months away."
"Hey, it could be our new year's resolution together."
"Yeah."
Little did they know when they looked above themselves, a mistletoe was hanging above them. Lincoln and Girl Jordan together were holding onto a very long stick that the mistletoe is attached to the end. When they both looked at each other, Luna blushed hard. She kissed Sam a few times, but only on the cheek.
Sam also blushed, but not as hard as her girlfriend. At the same time, she's been thinking about receiving Luna a favor for the good things she did for her, especially today on Christmas Eve. She placed both of her hands on Luna's shoulders which caught her attention, but she didn't lid her eyes. She only looked straight into Luna's eyes so she could pay attention to her. Luna slowly closed her eyes, staying in the moment without anyone in the way.
"Merry Christmas...Luna." Sam closed her eyes and pressed her lips against Luna. She wrapped her arms around her while lifting her leg up. Luna grabbed Sam's body, preventing her from falling but her body is in another level of emotions. She shaked with her heart pounding, but Sam placed her hand on her back to calm her down.
Nina then rushed out from the back of the tents after setting off the surprise. Fireworks flew above the frozen lake, to the sky and exploded. It was also around the time where midnight of Christmas had arrived with shooting stars of The Geminid Meteor Shower. With them being bigger than before, they're in colors of blue, yellow, and purple. Both Luna and Sam opened their eyes while containing their kiss, with the decorated lights, fireworks, and the shooting stars on Christmas, they looked at each other again, and closed their eyes as they savored their best Christmas moment of their lives.
Everyone adored the moment, Tabby whistled from the moment she's witnessing Carol was more impressed with Luna while Katherine found the jackpot of all jackpots for her Christmas report. "You're aware that lesbian kissing isn't allowed on news broadcasts, right?" Her cameraman replied.
"Don't bring in oversensitive censorship!" Katherine leans towards the cameraman. "The LGBTQ community deserve a wonderful Christmas moment from their eyes!"2
After a solid minute, Luna and Sam broke the kiss as the fireworks stopped. They were more satisfied than they thought as Luna breathed after holding her breath. Upon letting the air out, she and Sam made their way off of the frozen lake. "Best Christmas ever!"
"That was amazing!" Mazzy cheered.
"Best romantic Christmas moment ever." Ruby added.
"I'll never stop putting mistletoes above couples during the holidays." Girl Jordan lidded her eyes.
"You really pulled a deja vu from last year little bro." Luna rubbed on Lincoln's hair.
"Wasn't planning on it, but I wasn't just gonna stand here and just watch the stars." Lincoln giggled. "Man with a plan love's out of nowhere goals."
"And besides, this Christmas is all about you and Sam." Luan commented.
"True, but Christmas is all about all of us." Sam replied. "I wanted to thank all of you for this."
"Really appreciated." Luna added.
Carol walked up by Luna, clapping from her and Sam's moment. "If this was part of a movie, you two would win an award for best kiss." She smiled.
"Couldn't agree more." Becky added.
"Anyway..." Nina went past the Moon Goats as she showed everyone her rented box of ice skates with Joey helping her out. "Who's ready to ice skate?"
Everyone cheered as they got a pair out from the box. In no time, everyone got on the frozen lake as they all skated. It felt like ice skating from the big city despite having no buildings, but the holiday feeling is still there, untouched and unchanged. The people who didn't ice skate are Luna, Sam, and Nina, sitting together, watching the people skate while The Geminid Meteor Shower is still shooting meteors from above.
"Aren't you gonna join in?" Sam asked.
"In a little bit." Nina answered.
"Is it because you planned most of this?" Luna guessed and Nina nodded. "You and the others weren't sightseeing, were you?"
"You're already catching on?"
"The moment came and went uninterrupted, this isn't seventh grade knowledge."
"I kind of knew it was a set up, but I wasn't gonna spoil anyone's Christmas errands." Sam giggled.
"Then I'm ahead of seventh grade education." Nina said.
"You bet." Luna taking off her Santa hat. "Nina, for you being an honorary member of our band, you proved to me that you really enjoyed us when we were just enjoying ourselves."
"Well I know bands do more than just gigs."
"Isn't it really a surprise, you've been with us for awhile, you already knew that." Sam replied.
"It's still the truth of them all. It was more than an honor to join your band. And as a person who adores Christmas, an honorary member shares holiday cheer to their closest members."
This causes Luna to roll her eyes, while smiling after months of getting to know Nina. "You're my friend rock star rookie." She wrapped her arm around her shoulder. "I think your new year's resolution is to write one song that can blow me away. No matter how long it takes."
"You're really giving me that honor?"
"Who knows."
"Possibly." Sam commented. "If it's a hit, you could write more songs."
"I will listen to them until the day I die."
"Okay!" Nina cheered. "I also have something for you two." She stood up while opening her backpack. She took out two bags of Christmas Snickerdoodles and gave them to Luna and Sam. "I don't have a lot for everyone, but I wasn't gonna forget about you two."
"Christmas Snickerdoodles?" Sam receives the snack.
"I would've passed them out, no matter what Christmas dessert it is." Luna taking one snickerdoodle out, taking a bite from it. "Thanks Nina."
"You're welcome." Nina smiled. "By the way, I need to return those ice skates back to that cabin."
"We'll do it in the morning. Enjoy ice skating."
Nina put on her ice skates as she joined the others on the frozen lake. "Should we join?" Sam offered.
"In five more minutes. I'm still satisfied from...you know."
"I'm also satisfied, but Christmas has arrived." She stood up while putting her beg in her tent. "And I'm not tired of ice skating again with my girlfriend."
Luna blushed again, while standing up. "Okay then." She took Sam's hand as they both got on the frozen lake. Nearly everyone had the best experience from The Geminid Meteor Shower after waiting half a day to witness it. Less and less stars appear but no one misses the moment they can all remember. Especially when more people see it on TV.
"I love Christmas." Katherine smiled as she joined in on the ice skating with her niece. "I'm just waiting to see the news reporters all around the world jealous of my ice skating skills."

Steven Universe Of The Creek Chapter 14 Eyes Of Redden Astigmatism
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Steven and Craig went to the stump where Kelsey, J.P. and Omar were waiting. They agreed to speak inside the stump itself to catch up on who Steven really is. Even while feeling uncomfortable with his size being bigger than the kids he’s with underground, it wasn’t hard to get used to it thanks to the beanbag Craig offered him to sit in.
“Last night was the most surreal night I’ve ever witnessed.” Kelsey said.
“And the whole Ruby and Aquamarine thing felt more like a fever dream.” J.P. added.
“But to tell you the truth, when you told us about your call with Garnet, I can’t really believe in fever dreams anymore.” Omar added.
“Though since my friends aren’t human, they probably don’t know what fever dreams are.” Steven said, scratching on the back of his head.
“I think what really makes me surprised is the fact that gem in your belly button,” Omar pointed underneath Steven’s shirt. “has a history.”
“He told me about the gem war with Pink Diamond and Rose Quartz.” Craig added. “Or The Rebellion that happens every five thousand and three hundred years from where he goes to.” His friends became more confused and even dumbfounded with the idea. “I know, it hurts my head too.”
“I’m more shocked that this whole Rebellion thing took place where the Iceman was more brought up in school.” Kelsey commented.
“The thing is, there’s no such thing as gem culture, even if we make it out to be.” Steven confessed. “I’ve spent my life without going to school, which would’ve made me be like you kids. But at the same time, I would’ve been in high school instead of elementary school.”
“My brother would've given you a tour at his school…if he wasn't hiding from you right now.” Craig lowered his head.
“Did it have to do with that big boom from yesterday?” J.P. wondered. “I swear, it wasn’t like how I pictured it when hearing it.”
This caused Steven to sign while looking above from the stump’s exit. “If you picture it, was it pink?”
“No.”
“Was last night more than enough to prove it wasn’t anything but pink?”
“Pink just isn’t my color.”
“Even when he was glowing?” Craig pointed at Steven.
“I’m just saying, I would love to glow, just not the color pink. But I did understand the whole Ruby and-”
“Look, I’m not saying you’re wrong, it's just there’s so much going on, I can’t process all the information.” Steven replied, taking a deep breath. “Ruby and Aquamarine could still be around but if I wasn’t here today, they would still track me down.”
“Hey, I’m aware how hazardous they are, especially when they fused together, like you told us.”
“So what makes you think staying with us is a good idea?” Kelsey wondered.
“Because I know they won’t hurt you or any kid in this creek. The adults will find out and it will cause them to be banned from town.” Steven replied. “But that’s just me looking at the positives.”
“We can still help you.” Omar offered. “I wanted to do what Craig did when he saved you.”
“Trust me, I appreciate your loyalty, but you saw how powerful they are.”
“I know, I’m not blind. But even if they somehow get banned from town, they would still catch you if they’re the last enemies you have.”
Steven couldn’t disagree if he left Herkleton right now. No matter where he goes, he won’t be able to be free from any danger from the gems he can’t change. “You know with so many kids here, I don’t know if they see the difference between a human or a gem.”
“Well, we and some of the people with us knew the difference, even if we didn’t get all the answers.” Kelsey replied.
“True but if the people are spreading the information from last night, they won’t get the full idea.”
Craig can tell Steven had been overthinking the situation, but at the same time, he still didn’t start off with which place he wanted to go to in the creek. “How about we start doing activities in the creek?”
“Yeah, we shouldn’t stay here all day.” Steven stood up from the beanbag. “When we get out of the stump, you can give me the map.”
“No problem.” With everyone standing up, Craig pulled the rope that’s tied to his chair as he lifted himself off the ground. Upon getting out of the stump, he helped the others to get out with Kelsey and J.P. being the final ones. He gave Steven the map of the creek, which gave him options on where he wants to go.
“Let’s go to Ramp City.” Steven offered.
“That’s where Cannonball’s at, who was with us last night.” Omar replied. “With your size, you won’t be able to ride a bike though.”
“Yeah but, since he saw what happened, I’m sure he’ll be alright by seeing my gem powers.”
“I don’t have a problem with that.” J.P. said. “Can I pick the next location after that?”
“Okay. Let’s get moving.”
The group headed to their first destination, leaving the stump to begin their new friend’s journey. Meanwhile, Wildernessa and Cheese Sticks took notice of Steven and the others from behind. Wildernessa remembered the gem on Steven’s belly button from last night. She wanted to get to know it as much as Craig, but she knew Craig is dealing with a lot right now.
“That…flying creature from last night really has something against that Steven guy.” Wildernessa spoke quietly. “We need to make sure Steven doesn’t get attacked.” Cheese Sticks growled, agreeing with his owner.
While they slowly followed them, Steven caught on to where he and the group were in the creek. He paid attention to the directions from the map, but as soon he and the others followed that direction, Craig slowed down. The headache he had from yesterday returned, but it had a big effect on his eyes. He stopped himself while the group continued without him, his vision getting worse.
He got on his knees, rubbing his eyes to make it stop, but to no avail. “What’s wrong with my eyes?” When he opened his eyes, he saw pitch pinkness everywhere. The headache slowly went away, but his vision caught him off guard. Outside of his vision, his eyes turned pink just like Steven’s powers, as if his saliva did more than expected.
“I see, so much pink, it’s not even annoying.” He said to himself. He looked at his hands that were the same glow Steven had. When he clapped, sparks came out, but only in his vision. He clapped three times with sparks getting bigger from each clap. He got up from his knees to witness his friends from a distance, a bright shade of pink, then gradually changed back to normal colors. When he turned around, he saw Cheese Sticks right in front of him with Wildernessa right next to him. With so much pink closer to him, he fell back onto the ground.
“Craig!” Wildernessa took notice of his friend’s eyes.
“Vanessa!” Craig getting back up. “I just saw you and Cheese…Sticks?” After rubbing his eyes again, he opened them to see all colors again. “In pink?”
“You saw me and Cheese Sticks in the color pink? I saw pink in your eyes.”
“You did?”
“Yes, my eyes don’t lie.”
Craig looked at his hands in normal color. “I saw everything pink like, pure pinkness everywhere.”
When Wildernessa noticed Steven coming back, she backed away with Cheese Sticks from him in self defense from his gem powers. “Craig, why did you stop? I was worried for a second.”
“Sorry, it’s just I ha-”
“He tripped!” Wildernessa chimed in. “He just tripped, but he was clumsy today.”
When Steven took notice of Wildernessa, he remembered she’s one of the people who witnessed the mayhem from last night. And then he turned to Cheese Sticks. “I saw him when Bernard gave me a tour in the neighborhood.” When he looked closely at Cheese Sticks, his size was almost the same as Lion’s.
“You do realize he was with me last night right?”
“There was too much to handle.” Craig replied. “But I’ve did sa-” Wildernessa covered his mouth while Steven placed his hand on Cheese Stick's face.
“I’ve seen bigger dogs, but not like this.”
“Do you have a pet?”
“Yes, his name is Lion who’s pink.”
This made Wildernessa awkwardly grin. “Pink…you don’t say?”
Craig moved Wildernessa’s hand out of his way while walking up to Steven. “Steven, I know you're giving everything a chance, but shouldn’t we go to Ramp City now?”
“Just give me a minute.”
Craig wanted to tell Steven what he just had experienced, but with the way Wildernessa prevented him from telling the truth. He would’ve confronted Wildernessa, but she wasn’t messing with him, meaning she’s catching on to who Steven is. As Wildernessa looked at Steven, Steven turned his attention to her.
“I’ve noticed you were riding him just like Connie does.”
“Who’s Connie?” Wildernessa asked.
“She’s my girlfriend, when we were young, we rode Lion together, but we went through portals when we needed it.”
Craig and Wildernessa looked at each other from hearing Steven’s story. Craig may enjoy portals, but Wildernessa managed to know Steven a little, even if it had nothing to do with his gem. “Is Lion as gem?”
“Yes. He’s with the Crystal Gems, but I haven’t heard about him since.”
“I wouldn’t leave Cheese Sticks all alone. But if the Crystal Gems are taking good care of him, it shows he’s not alone.”
Despite the gesture, Steven let go of Cheese Sticks. “Lion’s not that type of pet, you know, not eating, sleepless, doing missions.”
“He has a huge history.” Craig turned to Wildernessa.
“Anyway, we should go.” Just when Steven’s about to go, he immediately notices that Craig and Wildernessa looked similar to him and Connie. “The more I think about it, you kind of remind me of what me and Connie did before she became my girlfriend.”
Both Craig and Wildernessa blushed which caused Craig to grab Steven’s arm. “Okay, let’s head to Ramp City now!”
“Craig.” Steven let go of him. “I’m not saying you two should be boyfriend and girlfriend, I’m just saying you two remind me of my past.”
“I have a past with Cheese Sticks and animals.” Wildernessa responded. “Do you take care of animals?”
“Not really but for gems, kind of.”
This caused Wildernessa to come up with an idea. “Maybe later can you go on my mission with Cheese Sticks? There could be an animal trapped.”
“I don’t know about today, but if there is an animal trapped, I’ll remember that before I’ll consider leaving the creek.”
“There’s always tomorrow. I can still do the mission with just me and Cheese Sticks.” She then lifted her hand up in front of Steven. “I’m Wildernessa.”
Steven accepted the handshake while smiling. “Happy to meet you. I have to say, I like your pet, Cheese Sticks.”
“Thanks, he’s not a lion, but still a good pet.”
“Trust me,” Steven breaks the handshake. “If you meet Lion, he’s more than just a lion. Let’s go Craig.”
“Bye Vanessa.” Craig waved as he and Steven made their way to Ramp City. Wildernessa had her chance to meet Steven even if she didn’t get the chance to see his gem again. But if he’s willing to help her out with her mission, she might tell him something about what he can do with his gem. Of course she hasn’t forgotten that Craig’s eyes were pink and she made sure Steven doesn’t have too much to handle.
“I don’t think a doctor can handle someone like Craig with pink eyes.” She got on top of Cheese Sticks. “I just hope he’s alright.” She headed in the opposite direction to search for animals for the safety of their nature, and so of her nature.

Steven Universe Of The Creek Chapter 13 The New Day Of Fruition
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The sun rose above the creek after the rainstorm from last night. It stopped raining at about three thirty in the morning, while the clouds drifted away in short order. Despite the outdoors being wet with the dirt in the creek having turned to mud, kids are still gonna come over to hang out.
Craig woke up and immediately got himself out of bed. Even if he had more sleep than last time, he still needs to clean Steven’s clothes, even if he’s willing to come out right away. After he got out of his bedroom, he headed to the bathroom where Steven took off his clothes to put it in the dirty laundry basket. He heads downstairs to the washing machine in the kitchen where he put all of Steven’s clothes in. After putting the detergent soap in, he closed the lid and turned on the machine.
In the living room, Steven slowly opened his eyes while yawning. Even resting under a roof, his body is still shaking from the events that happened last night. He was too concerned about thinking about his current problem rather than encountering two gems, who are probably still around in the neighborhood.
After Craig poured his cereal in his bowl, he entered the living room just to notice Steven waking up from the couch. “Steven?” He spoke to which Steven turned around.
“Good morning.” He shyly smiled. “It stopped raining, are you thinking about going to the creek?”
“Well…” Craig headed back in the kitchen to the refrigerator while opening it. “Is there anything else you wanna do?”
“No, not even a bit.” As Steven heads straight to the kitchen table, Craig just poured milk into his cereal while sitting with Steven face to face. “I see you just started the washing machine huh?”
“Usually my parents do the laundry and they taught me how but…” He took a bite from his cereal.
“You don’t want to do it?” Steven guessed as Craig nodded. “I’ve been through that.”
“Maybe cleaning the laundry just to clean the clothes even if it’s important…wasn’t as important as you.” Craig continued to eat his breakfast while taking in the peace around him after the storm from last night, despite the noise from the washing machine.
“You know…you saying that I’m more important than laundry was the last thing I would expect to hear from a kid but…nothing’s too crazy anymore.” Steven commented.
“Well if you wanna go to the creek, I don’t even know where to start to be honest.” Craig replied. “I know I didn’t mind that when we met for the first time, but I wasn’t thinking about you. Just your gem.”
Steven didn’t forget that Craig’s friends saw his gem last night and if he wanted to set things quickly, he needed to find Craig’s friends even if he never got to know them unlike Craig. “When we go to the creek, do you want to know a little more about me and my life?”
“That’s fine, there’s a lot going on after seeing you glow pink. Especially those…gems.”
“Aquamarine and Ruby? Trust me, even if they’re my problems, they don’t compare to anything else I’ve gone through.”
After Craig finished eating his cereal, the washing machine took its time to clean everything through Steven’s clothes. Steven put on his clothes despite how they were a bit too warm. While Craig was washing his dish, he got out of his pajamas and changed into his regular clothes. He and Steven headed out and walked into the creek itself.
The leaves from the trees dripped down water after the storm from last night. Steven and Craig needed the fresh air in order to get along better. Even if they have to deal with the creek still being wet, the sun will manage to dry things as quickly as possible.
“So Aquamarine and Ruby who attacked you, are they your enemies?”
“They’re the only enemies I have at the moment. But compared to other enemies I’ve had in the past, they're more annoying than dangerous.”
“Yeah, they were smaller than me, but way more powerful.” Craig responded, keeping his hands in his pockets. “But when I saw them, they were a different gem.”
“True, but in reality, they’re the same person. It’s called fusion.”
“Fusion?”
“Long story, but one of my mothers is actually a fusion…who I just talked to last night who told me to work things out with you.”
“Do you mean…Pearl? Amethyst? Garnet?”
“The latter.” Steven answered. “This may be hard to believe, but there are more Rubies aside from this one. And the Ruby who’s on my side is fused with Sapphire, they’re Garnet.” He stopped himself while showing Craig a picture from his phone. The picture itself showed Ruby and Sapphire at the wedding at the beach, then he scrolled to another picture of him hugging Garnet after she fused back.
“Ohh…I completely forgot that you told me about the wedding, and the fusion two nights ago.”
“I didn’t feel the need to tell you, since it was the day before yesterday.” When he put his phone away, they resumed their walk. “But then again yesterday was the day we didn’t expect to turn out terribly.”
“You know Steven, things don’t turn out the way I wanted at the creek, but compared to yours, it’s much smaller in scale.”
“Did you remember what I said about the Gem war?”
“Yeah. And about you…turning into a baby…I never saw a TV show that did that.”
This causes Steven to sigh, knowing he has so much work to do. “When I showed you a picture of Yellow, Blue, and White Diamond, there’s another Diamond…who’s my real mother.”
Craig stopped himself, thinking that a Diamond far bigger would be Steven’s mother of all things. When Steven took notice, he wasn’t surprised, but knew Craig would catch on, even by a little. “How??”
“She turned into Rose Quartz, who was the mother I remembered the most in my childhood, only to learn, just like Ruby, there are more Rose Quartzs. She’s Pink Diamond.”
“Pink Diamond…that explains why you were glowing pink last night…and about you turning into a monster.”
Craig had more questions than necessary, but he didn’t know where to start. Rose Quartz, Multiple Rose Quartzs, and Pink Diamond turning into Rose Quartz, he can’t even think of one thing without getting confused or overwhelmed.
“Craig, you don’t wanna know everything about Pink Diamond, but it’s hard for me to be mad when I lose it.”
“But how is Pink Diamond the reason you glow pink?”
“Because I can’t control myself forever. You can’t be the nicest and self-controlled person when you're a gem at the same time.”
“So, Pink Diamond was the biggest enemy in all this?”
Steven lowered his head while answering his question. “Yes.”
“Then it’s best if we leave it at that.”
“Pearl would tell you everything if she was here right now.”
When Craig thought about Steven’s guardians and his downplay stories from his family reunion, it became clearer as day that whatever he’s downplaying is always the other way around. But when it comes to Pearl, Amethyst, and Garnet who’s a fusion, he never understood how important his life was with the three.
“Steven.” Craig came up with a new question. “When you put saliva in my ear, all I saw was pitch pinkness in my eyes. Not only did I feel sparkles, but the old emotions I had between you were gone. Do you do this with people?”
“Yes.” Steven answered. “You see, my saliva heals corrupted Gems when they are damaged. I helped with Connie’s eye vision when he took a sip of my juice box years ago.”
This causes Craig to come up with another question. “Do they get powers like you do?”
Steven shook his head in response. “Would you expect other people to explode like yesterday at my apartment? I don’t know if that’s true, but it’s probably best that it didn’t.”
“I don’t even know what it would feel like if it's true.”
Steven could imagine what a human would do if they had powers like this, but on the other hand, Gems require gems for powers regardless of them being different from one another. “The chances of you having powers are one in a million. And even if you’re a gem like me, you have to cooperate because it’s still dangerous.”
“I know, Aquamarine and Ruby felt powerful together just by seeing their powers.”
“That’s mainly because of the fact that they’re in a fusion. And there are many more fusions that are bigger and stronger than them.”
Craig wondered what fusion would feel like inside of the mind with others, but cooperating with another person would be harder than he thought. “It seems that this type of specialty is a huge custom to Gems.”
“Well, I can fuse with my dad and Connie, but it’ll only work if one of the two are a gem. I’m not gonna explain a lot about it because it’s too complicated for you at your age.”
In a moment of realization, Craig wouldn’t experience fusion if he found a gem similar to Steven. Not to mention he still has a lot of understanding of Steven’s life as a gem. Then again, he needed to set things straight by having his friends be part of it.
“I think we should have my friends be part of this. Let’s save some of the details when we go to the stump which is where my friends are waiting.”
“You're right. Besides, the amount of kids that I saw last night, you have almost the same amount of friends that I have back at Beach City.”
“You really want to meet them?”
“That and more by chance, because I doubt I’m leaving anytime soon.”
Craig smiled from Steven’s eagerness to give the creek a chance by starting somewhere and he’s more than thankful to start off with his friends. “Okay let’s get Kelsey and J.P. to catch up with us.”
“That’s the spirit.” They return to their walk while heading to where Craig spends most of his time with his friends. The following step of getting to know each other to resolve their newborn friendship.
