Hello! There may not be many updates for a while, and that’s because we’re recording some of the banks and working on the release-art. Please be patient!
Here’s all I can say for now.
We’ll be releasing two Japanese banks, one with a soft and power append.
We’ll be releasing an English voicebank
We may be opening auditions soon for Cocoaloid original voicebanks
Positions are available for otoers, artists, mac converters, and beta-testers. Right now, the two we need the most are mac converters (who have converted the files for UTAUsynth before) and beta-testers (one for UTAUsynth and the other for Windows)

Cocoaloid Originals
Hello!
I’d like to announce that auditions will be opening soon for Cocoaloid Original voicebanks. These will be voicebanks with our own character designs, vs our Vocaloid UTAU voicebanks.
Stay tuned, for it wont be long until the first character is released for you guys to audition for. It should be released within this or next week (the design, not the voicebank)
Now, I would like to update you guys on the current progress of our Vocaloid UTAU voicebanks.
The recording dates have indeed been suspended, however, most are expected to be fully recorded by the end of summer. Thank you for your patience, and for sticking with our project!
I have only one request: Help us spread the word!
We could really, and I mean REALLY use some Mac converters and beta-testers before the voicebanks are released! If you’re able to, please reblog the previous post explaining the positions we have open. We could really use your help!

The Cocoa Project (INFO)
Hello everyone!
I thought I’d remake this post explaining the positions available in The Cocoa Project, and to try and get more people interested. More below the cut, so it wont block up peoples’ feed.
Otoers
Although I can do most of it on my own, it’d be nice to have someone(s) to work with on the oto, so there’ll be less chances of bugs or errors.
Beta testers
These people will beta-test the banks for errors or bugs, and will message us if they find one and a video/screenshot of the error. I would like to have at least 3 beta-testers per voicebank
Artists
The artist would be responsible for doing the full-body release art for each voicebank. (Don’t worry, you wont be bombarded.) It’d be nice to have a single artist for each voicebank so the styles would be the same/similar, however we’re willing to accept multiple artists.
Voice providers
We’re always looking for voice providers who have enough time to join our project. Through Tumblr, however, please email us with a recent recording of you speaking and/or singing. Please use the same mic as you would when recording the samples, so we know what quality to expect.
That’s all the positions we’re looking for. Now, I will explain the voicebank release process that we will go through.

First, the samples would be recorded. If the voicebank will be multipitch, then the first pitch would be recorded, otoed, and tested before the next pitch would be recorded. Each pitch would be tested individually before being tested combined. The same applies to appends.
After the voicebank has been fully tested, we will release a demo-teaser of the voicebank anywhere from 2 weeks - 2 months prior to release.
On the release day, the full demo reel and voicebank will be released on soundcloud, youtube, tumblr, and our twitter account. It will also be available on our website.
If you’d like to join for only one time, that’s fine as well.

Hello everyone! Just to let you all know, we are indeed still alive.
Progress has been very busy these past few weeks, and I’ve just had enough time to post that there IS indeed voicebanks currently going through the recording process.
I will not release the voice providers until after the voicebanks have been released (with positive response, of course) and after I gain their permission to do so.
The website is almost done, with just a few more finishing touches for ease-of-access and use.
However, we could really use your guys’ help!
We’re still looking for beta-testers before the actual release of the voicebanks.

The first UTAU we’re starting off with is Ring Suzune. Reblog with a link to your singing audition with how you think she would sound, or send your audition to [email protected]

Please do not submit entries with excessive vulgar language. This only applies to swear words. It’s fine if a song only has a few swear words.
Judging will take a while, so we ask that you be patient with us. Please submit a high quality audition using the microphone you would use for recording the samples.
You may not submit any auditions featuring anyone other than your own voice. This includes duets. The only exception is that the other singer is only singing the harmonies, and that your vocals are the main vocals through the entire song.
If you do submit a song featuring vocals other than your own, you will be disqualified.
The submission must have at least one minute of content. Entries containing too little vocals may be asked to re-submit with a more lyric-rich sample.
We will let you know if you were or were not selected for the voicebank.
You can choose to have the voice provider private.

Seeming if you decided to come here and hoping that you’re not here just to diss this project and try to create a bad name for it, welcome! If you are, well, welcome anyways!
The website is under construction as we speak (in this case, read)
First off, I’d like to inform you, this project is by volunteer only. If you are a paid voice actor, and wish to participate in this project to be paid, that is not possible. Thank you.
Second of all, this is indeed a serious project, and not a troll. Probably the most suspicious thing I could say for this project, but either way, people are gonna doubt it...
Oh well. That’s fine! Click the “read more” tab thingy below to read about who we’re looking for~
1. Voice providers
As stated above and on our previous post, we are looking for voice providers. Specifically, voice providers who are willing to join a long-term serious project with a high quality microphone, and actually have enough time to join this project.
2. Artists
The artists will draw the box art/full body art for our own original voicebanks. This is specifically for original cocoaloids, vs. the Vocatauloids (providing vocals for abandoned VOCALOIDs for UTAU). I, Plaid, will come up with the designs, unless you’d like to submit a design of your own despite whichever position you’re in.
3. Beta Testers
You will be part of a small group of people allowed to beta-test any of our voicebanks pre-release. In this position, you would be responsible for finding any bugs or inconsistencies in the voicebanks. You can choose which voicebanks to test and which you do not wish to test.
That is all we’re looking for at the moment, if you have any other suggestions or roles you’d like, feel free to message us!
