Regarding AI art, I recently found Steven Zapata’s video essay with counters to the most common pro-AI art arguments (eg, that AI is just a new tool, that artists do the same with references etc)
It’s quite old now and many artists likely have seen it already, but in chance anyone hasn’t, I highly recommend listening to it.

Ok um i just wanted to say i completely worship your art and whenever i open your blog and see your drawings i realize mines are just a kind of trash compared to yours. Im kinda your fan and you are a legendary artist in my mind, you're making us so happy with your art.Have a nice day :)
okay no! lets take this negative thoughts out of your mind and put them far away. and let me replace it with, your art is good.
we maybe just have different amount of experience. we definitely have different arts styles. there are maybe minor mistakes. but in al honestly there is no end to improvement. this counts for everyone. (-points at me with different arrows about things i really should practice more and not just wing kind off...)
its good to be critical of your own creation, but here we are proud of us for creating. and what we achieved.
you can't improve when you keep on being unkind to yourself.
you will one day talk yourself out of drawing and stop it entirely. and that won't do.
i don't wan to see any "my art is trash" or any other negative thought on my blog or in the asks. i am not allowed to say it so neither are you! nobody of you out here is after reading this allowed to think negative about what they created.
of course all of us have down time. sometimes things just don't turn out as good as we thought or didn't turn out at all. sometimes there is some slight art envy. sometimes we are indecisive about how we want to express our creativity. but... and thats something i learned after years... if we don't value our own art others wont either. and the more we create and focus on what we did good or liked to do in previous artworks we made. the more comfortable we get with our own art and one day it makes click! and we are happy with our art.
thank you for the compliment!
-but please don't put me on a podest its a bit akward-
i mean... we are all just here drawing our favourites charakters hanging out anyway....

I’m ever thankful for the love this piece has received over the years! I recently made an inprnt account, so although this is an oldie I’ve added it there as it’s my most popular piece. Prints available here <3

Prints of this are now available on Inprnt!
Who else processes bad experiences by turning them into fairytales a few years down the line? I was unwell a couple of years ago with symptoms that made me feel like feathers were bursting out of my skin, and the more I plucked out the more grew back. So I got better and wrote a wee story about it full of folklore elements and made-up mythology, which is what this painting is of. Had a lot of fun making it and layering in all the symbolism from the story.
