Took out the big camera for some cherry blossom pictures (or maybe plums) and on the way back I spotted these patterns on an old log on the path home. I thought they looked cool. :)
My reflexes are slow and wildlife is fast! Missed the shot on this pika. I love pikas, but haven't found them much and the few times I have, they just haven't been cooperative. No nice still posing for me, I did have better luck with the marmots that day, at least. :)
I always thought pikas were of the rodent family, they are so small and round. Turns out they of they are of lagomorphs family which includes rabbits and hares. It just makes them all the cuter.

Well, what do you know, I actually did pick up the camera! :)
Took a few pictures of the nearby cherry blossoms, although my phone says they're plum blossoms. Either way, they are very pretty.
The annoying thing is, I had some trouble with my new bifocal glasses, hard to read the settings through the viewfinder. I'm going to have to find a way around that, getting old is not fun :(
Had a short walk around and spotted signs of springtime. Some pretty grape hyacinths or muscari flowers.
The cherry blossoms are out too, will have to try and grab my camera for them, but it is also raining so....will wait for dry weather, hopefully they'll wait for me :)
I thought this might have been summer, but turns out it was a gorgeous autumn afternoon. A beautiful, sunny day for a walk at Cypress Mountain. The Yew Lake Trail is nice and easy with great views.
Spotted this Parisian cat on one of our walks in Paris. I guess he belonged to the flower shop? Don't remember, but he doesn't seem very interested in us tourists :)
An autumn walk by the river. Tried a slightly different spot, we usually walk the boardwalk in New Westminster along the Fraser, this time we walked across from it, on the other side of the river, just for something a little different :)
Last weekend the weather gave us a beautiful day so we decided to dust off and charge the GoPro and take it out for a quick spin. I haven’t really used it much so still a super beginner. Will try to take it out more often, especially in the summer.
I like Barnett Marine Park because it has mountains and sea all in one 😊
We had snow! A lot of snow! At least for Vancouver :)
Glad I didn't have to actually drive or take public transport, I could just enjoy the snow and not worry about its effects. Not a lot of people out, just the usual handful of dog walkers.
Vancouver is lucky to have these pockets of green space, you'd think I was hiking in the back country and not just a few steps away from major roads :)
No reason, just wanted to post this cute squirrel.
Decided to use black in white since he was a grey squirrel on a grey path, might as well make him more "dramatic". Not that he needs much, they're so cute all on their own, just look at those little paws and fluffy tail!
Managed a quick walk downtown to view some Christmas lights and decorations.
The big ball was back as usual and this time I walked around the Art Gallery to Robson Square where they had some lovely string lights. A puddle made for some nice reflections :)
