Just released chapter 2 part 1 of my first fic! Any feedback is very much appreciated :]

After what happened to Max, Lucas doesn't know what to do with himself, how to deal with his emotions, what his emotions even are. Experiencing grief at this level is something new to him, and right now he needs Max more than ever. What happens in the hospital and Lucas' mental health following Max's almost-death (because we weren't shown much of it); and exploring his relationships with others, and to a lesser extent others' relationships with each other after the events at Hawkins.

Hey everyone! I’ve decided to take a shot at writing fanfics, and this is my first one! It’s lumax based (although heavily centred around Lucas), so if you’re looking for some Lucas/Max content you’ve found the right place - it is quite sad though, i’ll just put that out there. Any feed back is appreciated! :)

My theory behind what is going on in Mike's brain at THIS moment (what is the motive, why did he make it so awkward? etc).

This is a parallel to the rain fight - "We could just play D and D and Nintendo for the rest of our lives"- "I mean what did you think really, that we were never gonna get girlfriends? That we're just gonna sit in my basement all day and play games for the rest of our lives?". I think at this moment when he's like "Uh...", mike remembers this. He remembers the fight and what he said. Immediately making him uncomfortable as he's subconsciously associating this moment with the other. He then feels guilt, a feeling he is uncomfortable with. It's like all the emotions he was experiencing in the rain fight have come back to him again, and he hates it. Because there was another feeling he was experiencing during that fight that confused him and made him angry. Its the same feeling that caused him to blurt out the "It's not my fault you don't like girls" line, and the "We're friends. We're friends." line. We know what it is, but he's not fully aware of it, but he knows that he hates it and immediately replaces it with rage.

We can see hints of this anger and frustration in "What are you, like 12 years old still, dude?", but he's repressing it, instead making him seem just blunt and uninterested in "Yeah. Totally.". Repression seems to be a common theme here. He changes the vibe because he doesn't want to be on that topic anymore so he doesn't have to feel those feelings. He wants to ignore it, repress it, talk about something else. But he also doesn't want to get outwardly mad at will like he always does. So instead it's just discomfort.

Again, this is all just my theory, could be a stretch and a half but I wanted to take a crack at figuring out what is going on in that man's head so, yeah! :)

Apocalypse au

Where are my gaang in a modern zombie apocalypse aus please? Lets pretend they’re a little older because apocalypses are scary and this might get a lil dark (Suki, Sokka and Zuko are 19-22; Aang is 16, Katara is 18, Toph is 16)

- Ozai is the president of the US and decided that non-benders are useless and should be exterminated (well, sozin came up with that original philosophy, but they had been working on a virus that would only affect non-benders for yearss and it was finally ready during ozai’s rule)

- Azulon realized one thing getting in the way was the airbenders; if they made the virus airborne then they might figure out a way of cleansing the air and capturing the virus before it could spread (i’m not good at biology, so if this is wrong just let me know). So, as you can guess, all the airbenders were killed. Except Aang of course.

- The virus attacks the brain and causes zombie-like symptoms. If you’ve watched the maze runner or played the last of us, think that type of infected. Non-benders can get the virus by being bitten or by breathing in spores, benders are immune. It takes 2-5 days after catching the virus to completely turn.

- Their first target was an earth kingdom village, Kyoshi Island. Iroh went undercover and released the virus (not quite sure how, maybe injected it into someone’s food, released into the air, whatever you want). This is about 10 years before Aang wakes up. A few fire nation soldiers are sent on the day of the outbreak to help get benders off the island, Iroh’s son is one of them and gets eaten by infected.

- Suki is 9/10 when the initial outbreak happens. About 30 people had turned and were killing people on the streets and in their homes, suki’s dad said he needed to warn the main kingdom and her mum agreed. Suki and her mum were looking for masks when they heard infected burst in from downstairs; her mum handed her the only gas mask they had, her fan and a gun; she told suki to run to the other side of the island where she’ll find a hidden building and to tell the people there who she was - the daughter of the founder of the Kyoshi warriors. 

- And there’s your tragic suki backstory hahahaha sorry 

- Anyway i’ve realized this is actually getting long even though I tried to condense it and this is just the backstory part ffs, should I write a fanfic about this? Or has someone already done it and i’m just stupid whoops. Or should I make a bunch of posts like this which are basically just main plot points?

I love how all of the ships with jin are just amazing. Jin x Yuna? Badass partners who understand and can help one another. Jin x Taka? Brave warrior and his brave blacksmith boyfriend. Jin x Ryuzo? Au where instead of being taken to the spirit world sokka got tansported to modern day britain and then when he returns he has all these new phrases and everyones like wtf at first then they get used to it but once zuko arrives hes just utterly confused

I like to think that in "The Beach" Azula went back later that night to actually think about her life rather than world domination for once and Ty Lee finds her and sits down next to her. Azula actually opens up a bit more and then they just sit there in a nice silence for a bit until Ty Lee says "i don't actually like them you know, the boys" and Azula smiles and blurts out "You dont?!" and then catches herself and is like pfft of course you dont who would like those peasants anyway whilst turning away and blushing. Yes i am a tyzula stan yes i am convinced there was a reason azula had short nails for a period and no i do not take constructive criticism <3

Zukka au where the two bois are out shopping for a new sword for sokka and whilst trying one out sokka flings it into cabbage man’s cabbage cart by accident and cabbage man just goes crazy and reveals that he’s a firebender by throwing flaming cabbages at them and Zuko has to protect his boyfriend from flaming cabbages yeah I think that would be a good episode
