i can only see this man in a romance of the slowest burn. not only is he rather intimidating, aloof, & busy but i also think he hasn’t considered a relationship before, he’s never felt for any body in that way & never had time or the desire to, until his feelings start to develop for you but even then, the action he takes towards those feelings are.. almost non existent for a while

but it’s not his fault - he doesn’t know how to express what you bring out in him. he’s only known war & shinra. he hasn’t known a world where love dared to show itself so when he starts to realize what he feels is more than just the attachment of friendship he’s cultivated with few others, he takes his time carefully mulling over it & considering all the possibilities before he realizes he is in fact in love with you

oh but for those that know him well, like angeal & genesis, ooooo they can totally see their boy has a crush probably even before he knows🤭

it may start out as something small like always finding his way to your side when you’re around, trying to have more conversations with you, showing you his dry humor & smiling back at you when you gift him a giggle in return, reaching his hand out to the small of your back when you walk side by side even if his touch never connects even though he does desperately want to touch you (he’s touched starved as fuck i just know it)

he’s an absolute gentleman despite the fact he doesn’t actually know how to properly court you lmao but he will always make sure you’re heard & safe & that if you need anything, you know you can ask him

lol turns out I had a lot more thought out. Fair warning, none of this is concrete, this was thought up a while ago and uhhhhh… writing is not my strong suit lol

In this au I had debated whether to make copper a little bit younger, I already hc him as the youngest of the snack pack so idk if its needed lol.

While in the beginning of making his bunker, branch (who’s maybe 7??) would travel farther out into the forest and gather supplies to build when he stumbles on what looks like an egg? Just in time too, ‘cause Coops pops out like in twt, does his little groove, & then proceeds to flop over to nap (being baby is tiring work).

Branch is just ??? cause like what?? Baby? Way out here in the woods?? Why does the baby have 4 legs??? Why is said baby all alone? And that last part makes b pause for a sec bc where’s his family? Did he lose them? Or is it even worse…was he left behind? (He might be projecting a lil).

Cooper and Branch proceed to live where other kids w/o families go. Caretakers try to care for cooper & he is not having it. After all, branch is the first person he’d ever seen, was the first person who’d carried him. He’s imprinted on branch and whole heartedly believes and he is his family. So if C needs to be taken care of B has to be there. It goes on long enough that the caretaker decides it'll just easier if branch helped take care of him; and who knows maybe he'll regain his color being around such a happy little goober.

At first, branch doesn’t realize how much he means to C and assumes his attachment will fade. After all why wouldn’t it when he’s being doted on by warm and cheerful trolls. But nope! Whenever the caretakers aren't taking cooper around the village, Cooper is always following Branch. Around the pod, and through the woods. Branch looks out for him, talks to him, teaches him what he can, and even plays games! I think the fact that branch has been a part of Coopers whole life gives him a sense of obligation perhaps like a big brother?. It's easy to be open to him.

All attempts to foster Cooper are unsuccessful. It's not that Cooper doesn't match the family, it's that he just doesn't want to live with them. Imagine a foster family having the time of their lives singing & playing around & when the time comes Cooper's like 'I had a lot of fun today! Time to go! what?? Stay here? be a part of your family? ...Nope :D

When the time comes that the bunker can feasibly house him, (preteen?) Branch packs up what little he owns, and prepares to leave that night. It's not like the anyone at the orphanage would chase after him. Well, except for one trolling.

It's been years, long enough that their bond is strong, they're brothers in all but name. At least unnamed on branch's side, he kind of refuses to acknowledge it.

Anyway- Branch waits until everyone falls asleep and sneaks out. He doesn't even make it out of the room lol. One foot out the door and a sleepy voice is asking him where he's going. Branch just says he's going to the bunker, that he'll see him soon, it won't be forever you see what im trying to parallel? and it's true. It's not like he's leaving to who knows where. Cooper just nods & yawns out a "bye, see you later". Love me a parallel

Branch lasts an hour or two in the bunker. He's on edge the whole time, racked w/ guilt. Has a little mental spiral until there is just one loud thought of 'what am i doing? there's someone waiting for me' and runs back.

In the joined room, Cooper fell asleep on branch's bed waiting for him. So making sure not to wake him, Branch rests coopers head on his lap. Leaning against the headboard Branch just stares at his vest left at the end of the bed & has a moment of clarity. Like oh, that's why i felt terrible, i left my little brother behind. (Keep in mind that no, he didn’t really do that, but he’s a kid and that whole ‘see you later’ really shook him so he’s making some jumps in logic)(there some projecting happening as well)

So yeah, gained a brother!! yay!!! Cooper beat you to that revelation yeeaarrrss ago lol.

One thing I like about branch being a big bro is this idea that the more he learns about what it means to be one, the less he can understand his brothers. And are they his brothers?? Over the years it’s not looking like it.

Law rolls his eyes and leans down to press an annoyed, chaste kiss to the top of you head. "No, stupid," he murmurs before pulling away, giving you a pointed stare as he continues,

"It's vaccination day."

Your eyes immediately light up and you cackle slightly, throwing Law a wide grin before nodding a few times before going back to your crossword.

"Oh yeah, that's not a problem. I'm sure he'll be happy to have the company," you reply, throwing your Captain one last grin as he leans down to steal another quick kiss, lips just brushing before he pulls away and stalks off, his head held a little higher.

Warm cuddles and gentle kisses had lulled Shachi into a false sense of security, his arms wrapped lazily around your waist. One of your hands dances over his naked back, your face pressed into the space of his neck as your lips peppered soft kisses to his skin.

"Not that I don't love this," Shachi started, his voice low and curious as he asked, "But usually during the week you stay with the boss."

You froze in his grasp and decided to give a slight shrug, your own voice low and tired as you murmured,

"Can't I cuddle with my other man, too?"

Shachi cooed softly at your response, hugging you tight for a moment before curling around you a little more.

"Of course you can. Sorry, babe."

You gave a cheeky giggle and nipped at his throat before wrapping yourself around him tightly, pulling a slightly choked sound from him.

"Ah - babe, that's a little-"

Shachi froze as a sudden flash of blue hue sparked around you two, his entire frame freezing in your grasp as he rasped out,

"It's fuckin' needle day, isn't it?!"

You held tighter as Law suddenly appeared, a heavy hand gripping Shachis upper arm as his other hand stabbed a needle into his flesh, ignore the high-pitched shriek that his best friend gave as the vaccine pooled into him.

Law was gone as quickly as he came, the blue haze lifting as the Captain disappeared with his Room. You were almost 100% sure you were deaf in your left ear, Shachi's shriek still ringing in your head as he pathetically half-sobbed into your hair.

"You traitor!" He whined with a sad moan, his one arm feeling numb and warm as the vaccine traveled through his system.

"Unfortunately, it's gotta happen! Last thing we want is to lose you because of some silly virus."

Shachi sniffled and whined, still holding onto you like a child would a stuffed animal. You pinched his side lovingly as you pulled back to look up at him.

"Right?"

He sniffled again and gave a slow snod, frowning down at you.

"You're so cruel, babe," he moaned out after a moment, bending his head down to kiss you. You laughed and kissed him back, your hand dancing over his back in a soothing manner once more.

"Ah, but you still love me," you replied gently against his lips, entirely glad he wasn't actually upset with you.

"It's okay, Penguin gets his tomorrow since he's on watch tonight. We both know how fun that's gunna be,"

Shachi snickered at your words, a wicked grin on his lips as he replied,

"He's not as easy to grab, ya know. You can't just cuddle up to him and go, 'oh, can't I just spend time with my other other man?' That's not gunna work on him."

You were both laughing at that, his mimicry of you pulling tears to your eyes from laughing so hard. "I do not sound like that! And I know, I have a different plan for him."

He rose an eyebrow at you, waiting for you to continue. When you didn't, he bent down and nipped at your bottom lip.

"Well?"

You laughed and settled back into his arms, pressing a few kisses to his chest before replying,

"Oh, I'm not stupid enough to tell you."

Let’s start off with my gal! cuki chokochi, she’s in the hero course at UA by the name “Precious pockets” and her quirk is, u guessed it, portal pockets! she can store basically anything inside ANY pocket/bag and be the only one to access it! She even knows how to sew to add more pockets, It can’t be organized for shit so she takes a while to find stuff but she is incredibly versatile on the field! she def keeps you on ur toes! But don’t fret normally she’s sweet as she is fluffy, And fun story actually, the reason why her design is kinda misleading is cuz the first quirk concept I had for her was a beast transformation quirk, but the idea was already taken by a canon character and thus had to be changed xD Izzy actually helped spark the pockets idea, I just liked the design too much to fully redo it. Her horns are unevenly grown and she’s a little insecure about her furry features but her friends reassure her she’s lovely way she is, she likes fairy kei/decora fashion but can’t wear too many layers due to her fur, and her favorite things are waffles and stars. she’s also dating iida, she helps him learn to relax.

Next up is my bestie @needs-to-stop-looking-at-valves ‘s girl! Kokomo kiri. she’s in the support course and has a real knack for creating countless new support items/costumes. Her signature is brass knuckles lol and her quirk is nightmare noms, She can make nightmares reality just by eating them from her victims minds when asleep, thanks to her eyes she can visually see their dreams. They can even look different based on the contents of said dream. Once eaten, she can conjure up very convincing illusions and use all your senses against you, She’s a master at mimicry and can even make someone fall asleep just by making eye contact, it’s why I designed her eyes to be hypnotic swirls! basically nightmares are her fuel, but if she gets too backed up she vomits a black sludge that if touched can make one more prone to fear. It’s actually why her hands are permanently stained. She also suffers from insomnia, she’s an acquired taste for sure and she speaks very weirdly but she just loves in her own special way! Albeit she’s very crude and impulsive. And very blunt. with a super dark sense of humor too. But I promise she’s nice! She wears a beanie to hide her messy bed head and Her favorite things are banana bread and bats, she’s dating sato. And yes. He makes her banana bread whenever she wants.

And lastly but not LEAST we have our absolute LAD tomonari jishaku! Him and cuki are in the hero course together! He goes by the name “checkmate”. Cuki gives him confidence whilst kiri keeps him humble. By bullying him. but she loves the nerd, she really does. His quirk is magnet, he has metal protrusions on his chest and arms, with the left hand he pushes and with the right he pulls, he’s super skilled and trains hella hard but if he over uses it’s a lotta stress on his poor nerves. despite his very anxious and quite frankly pushover demeanor, when the time calls for it, he for sure can kick your ass. He just needs a little encouragement?? Don’t we all? He’s a huge video game nerd and he actually tends to avoid cursing, and conflict. his favorite things are pineapple pizza, pink lemonade and photography. He has pictures hung up everywhere and He’s dating tetsutetsu. They’re very homo gym bros

And all together this trio is called the creation crew, like how the big three call themselves. Well. The big three! These guys all create things in their own ways, pretty fitting team name if you ask me, And if you really read this far? I SUPER appreciate it! ✨

He had a soft smile on his face that didn't give away the excitement he felt as he ducked under the doorway. He'd talked to the people up front, and now it was time to wait. He chose to come in a good chunk of time before his show in case Campbell needed time to set up or got way too excited. Plus it would give time for the announcement.

Campbell could mostly be found in the hospital's radio station if it wasn't past curfew or if it wasn't his free day. Studying up the music collection and compiling a playlist, while going over notes about the sort of music the patients like so he could make dedications on special days or when one of them was having a bad day. Learning to adapt to the music was another thing he didn't originally think about when he started this venture, but enjoyed it. With his friends close by to give him notes and advice.

When he was told someone was there to visit him, he was excited when he heard it was Ash. Smiling at Rosalie and playfully slapping Fergus's arm in excitement, "He's here! You guys are gonna love him! I'll be right back!" He exclaimed before running to meet Ash, sliding to a halt and almost tripping before collecting himself. Excited and full of energy this day, he tackled Ash into a hug before letting go, "Welcome to the Looney Bin! Everyone's heard everything about you, granted it's not too much, but it's still plenty and they're eager to know if you're really real or just a figment of my imagination!"
