When watching Saiki K is so important to keep in mind that Saiki does not talk, we're only hearing his thoughts as the viewers. Not just because it's an awesome character trait but because, like, the other characters don't have the context we do. What we're seeing is Saiki showing his friend a hamster and saying "can you take care of this?" But all they're seeing is Saiki holding out a hamster and looking at them like 😐

ANYWAYS process for this piece . also before I started recording anything i did most of the lineart between assignments on my work computer so i put some screenshots of that below the cut.

lately ive been drawing whatever bg perspective/lines makes sense for a pose and then positioning the angle/composition/"camera" after.

original sketch i started with + bg I extrapolated around it. i did this for a bunch of my life is strange 2 fanart also.

final framing. kinda makes me feel like a photographer. or 3d modeller. I guess its makes dutch angles especially easier. theyre kind of difficult for me to do without drawing the normal un-dutched perspective first so i rarely plan out a dutch angle from the beginning. downside is that i ed up cropping out a lot of the drawing but.. thats why ive been doing it after the lines phase as opposed to after colors LOL.

I just looked at the price on the back of a book I’ve had for a bit over a decade and it was four. fucking. dollars. Just four with no taxes. No extra 97cents or something before taxes. Just a round number that you would add taxes to.

I googled the price of a new edition and it was almost thirteen! Not an even thirteen, it was like 12.96 or something. Close enough that it’s basically thirteen but if you’re adding multiple items together to try and get the price on a purchase with more items it would add more confusion.

I am just taken off guard rn and having realizations #I’m going to add to this post again. when I say wildly varied vintage prices I mean WILDLY varied #one dude was trying to sell it on Amazon for 55$ but on eBay it was 4 to 5$ #I bought the next three books in the series from that same print. signed. for 13$ together #I had older editions of those and wanted a full series of just the ones that were being re-released during my reading time

Wrestled with the desire to write a personal, meaningful novel while having no idea what project could fill that need

#adventures in writing #the old book was a lovely old volume of james whitcomb riley's poetry #i loved 'when the frost is on the punkin' in middle school and paging through the book i thought it was perfect for august #i have no idea when the library obtained it #but the copyright page said nothing but 'copyright 1892 by james w riley' #the self-checkout didn't recognize it #and the librarian explained that books will fall out of the system if they're un-checked-out for long enough #which filled me with a secret delight #i was rescuing the poor lonely unloved old book #giving a senior citizen a new chance at life #reading it in the sunset makes me wonder if i could ask the library to sell it to me #they clearly don't need it #and it's such a lovely volume #there's something about reading such an old edition of the book that puts the poems in their proper environment #you can feel the world he was writing about because you're holding a piece of it in your hands #and i just like his poetry #it's sensible poetry if there can be such a thing #not making grand metaphors about nature and the deeper human condition #but just 'there was sunlight on the crick. and a tree. and some butterflies. it was nice.' #plus the country perspective and working-class characters #it's down to earth and homespun and simple and grounded and in love with all the common things of life #and so much of the landscape is so familiar so there's the extra sense of connection #sure some of it gets a bit trite but it's so unpretentious that you can't mind the occasional misstep #and occasionally there's one where the impeccable sense of rhythm he showed in the first poem i loved sneaks up on me and sweeps me away #anyway it was nice it was a good day god is good

Lately I've been asking myself this question more and more, but

What happens when sinners are killed?

And like, not by angelic weapons. Just some random knife. Or Glock.

Because being killed with angels weapon is pretty straightforward - you cease to exist.

(There's something about your "remaining dark energy" being able to give inanimate objects some kind of sentience, but I'm not going to focus on it rn.)

Hellborn outside of royalty seem also to fall under this, but they can be killed with any weapon. Angelic weapons are probably just more painful.

But what happens when you kill those who already died?

Cause they can feel pain, weapons inflict damage on them and for Cannibal Colony to exist there must be some corpses to cannibalize (I won't believe that they eat only hellborn). But at the same time "only angel weapons are able to kill them permanently".

What does this mean? Does it mean that you just kind of respawn in set spawnpoints after you're killed, something like in gta? Does your power levels rise with each day not being killed? Is that's how sinners become Overlords? By having the highest Not Dying streak? Can you check how many times someone died? Do you get kind of restarted with all your memory whiped and new identity? Do you just get logged off to a "different server", so to speak? Could this be a moment when you can be redeemed? Whoever is responsible for choosing where to send you having to check each time your Good to Bad Deeds Ratio to be sure to send you to a correct place?

Aw, it's sad to see how much better I've gotten over the months but I can't exactly be the kind of person I need to be to make an art career work. I could TRY a shop/print shop, but I have no long-term ideas to keep a shop running.

Throwing this out there...

I have way too many ideas, some that I will never have an outlet for. I noticed this awhile back that I was given too much imagination and creativity without a good enough outlet or drive to get it all out.

I'm just saying it would be great to sell some of those ideas, to people or corporations or whatever else. I have ideas of all kinds: products, storylines, music lyrics, movies, shows, the works. I'd love to just find someone willing to take this overabundance of ideas so that I could get them out there and to make a profit off them seeing as I was recently laid off and all I want is to provide for my family, you know?

That said, I'm willing to negotiate prices and details if anyone was interested, not that I expect anyone to take me up on that. Additionally I also edit on photoshop and am willing to work out prices for say book jacket covers for self publishing authors or whatnot, and I am also available to do beta reading/proof reading on things from stories and fanfics to scripts and essays and the like.

If interested message me and we can start to work out the fine print and such, and go from there.
