They were following fast on the trail of a group of Yiga, almost where they could touch them Abel was sure. If they could capture just one, then he felt sure they could finally get some straight answers about where to find Abel’s son, along with the others. They moved down on a slope lined with colored rocks and a dip in the middle of the path from the many feet that had trodden it in times past. The Yiga scum slipped in a small opening of great wooden doors that had seen much better days, but peeling paint and chipped carvings aside, the doors were magnificent in scale and in lovingly rendered carvings of something Abel didn’t pay attention to as the Fierce Deity nearly threw the doors off their hinges in his haste to enter the space. They finally cornered the Yiga against a wall only to hear dreaded giggles of the sort that were part of Abel’s nightmares. He could have sworn he saw one of the blasted traitors wink at him through the mask before the air was filled with dark, sickly sweet smoke and mocking laughter. He felt air move on his back and Abel whirled around squinting through the thick smoke and try and get a hit on one of them.

Went to the yoko exhibition and managed to be so normal for the entire thing and then we went to the main museum gift shop and there was a postcard of that photo Linda took of Paul’s feet picking up the glass, so I go “look there’s Paul’s toes” and my mam was like …..”how do you know that?”

It's the last one, folks. For to build a home, anyway. Everything I could share from here on out is spoilery as hell, and I'm hoping that, by this time next week, the last chapter will already be out in the world.

Todos los Caballos del Rey. TK had turned to him, head to one side, bright eyes quizzical. "'All the king's horses?'" As the story goes, Carlos’ bisabuelo had always wanted to be a cowboy. He'd come to Texas at seventeen with twenty-four dollars and a dream, and managed to wrangle his way into a hundred acres of Hill Country land, determined to carve out the best dude ranch those parts had ever seen, something he could pass on to his sons someday. He'd had three daughters. And though he was a natural-born vaquero, he made a terrible businessman, and had been on brink of ruin when the trio of hijas he'd raised on horseback — Luciana, Fernanda, and Beatriz, the last barely out of her teens — had insisted on taking the reins. By the time the first Reyes boy in two generations was born, baby Gabriel, the ranch was three times the size and thriving. Carlos had grinned, taking his hand off the gearshift so he could take TK's with it, to kiss the only part of him he could. "That's the joke. Because it took all the king's women to put this place back together again."

Okay I was NOT expecting dragon poop to be the trap but on the other hand it is SO IN CHARACTER for Bel - and also Liam being a dragon!! I mean honestly I assumed he'd be some kind of demon/dark magic based creature cos of the whole 'I'm a monster/he's a monster' thing but I love dragons!! And of course what they've been saying about him is because of the Archetype Story, the basis for the System...and now the two of them are going to take down the System however they can!!! But oh, there are so many questions left!! Who is behind The System? Why the insistence on Following/Accepting Fate when clearly Bel's been able to complete and save worlds by doing her own thing? Are Adonis's actions down to the fact that he is unwiling to admit this because he's the Hero and Heroes always end up with Heroines and at this point it's all gone too far to take back, or is he just plain delusional? What was the deal Liam made that allowed him to follow her and who did he make it with - was it the person he talked with way back, and is this person connected to the System or not? I very much look forward to the last parts (though I'll be sad as well because I've followed this story from the start and I've loved it and I'll miss so much!!!!) and I'm interested to see the Mermaid world!!

I'm glad you liked the new part! Bel often has unconventional ways of dealing with heroes, but this one might have traumatized Liam a bit. I'm also a huge fan of dragons! Those are all great questions, that hopefully will be answered in the end, the last part is going to be packed, but I do have a plan... and now we just have to hope everything goes according to it!

Second to last part dropping today, and then the last part is the final face off with the system, with answers!
