Aran Ryan fanbase headcanons 2 -RESULTS-

And finally we have the results!

I was surprised to see some shared headcanons from the past!!!

Let's begin!!!

Can Aran speak Irish (Gaelic)?

He is genuinely adored by some, who go out of their way to defend his actions and paint him as a better person than he his, but others like him as a villain and others still think of him as a joke and only like him because of that.

yes and they want to see what other ideas he comes up with, maybe he gets mail from them where they share their ideas

It's a mixed bag- You have those the genuinely support him, others who started supporting him as joke & now can't stop, those who support him as a joke only, & unfortunately some who only support him as a justification for being an asshat.

he has fans on either side some fans are douchebags and some are like us on tumblr calling him a silly goose

I can see some if his fans being douchebags by saying, you ruined boxing, cheater or you're fecking crazy,

They’re either bloodthirsty, Irish or just want to watch matches.

Most of them love his crazy behavior and generally think of him as some maniac that escaped Dublin prison and got in by his unorthodox fighting style (which didn’t happen at all, Aran did a bit of fighting before WVBA but he got in clean imo.) Aran tries to distance himself from his troublesome fans, simply because he dislikes rumors made by him. Some of his fans are genuinely supportive and like seeing him and his antics, and think he could genuinely become champion if he stopped cheating.

I’ve got a feeling he doesn’t have a lot of fans who would actually come up to him since they’ve seen what he’s like in the ring, so they usually just watch him from afar if they see him in public

I think there are both fans that adore his cheating, but the vast majority thinks he takes it too far in some ways (i.e attacking the ref and aggressive taunting during intermissions), even by WVBA standards bc lets be real, almost EVERYONE cheats.

Aran benefits Hondo by getting him to loosen up when he's not actively working and making sure he's not overexerting himself in his rigorous training.

Aran loves ferrets, and could break his entire bank just carrying for them. He spends four hours each day playing with them and making sure they get exercise. He once screamed at a woman who watched them while he was away in the USA who fed them nothing but pellets to one of them, they were fine after. (Aran owns four, two boys two girls. He keeps them in separate cages to prevent a surprise business popping up.) He would die for them.

So first off, I have no proofs but no doubts that Aran is a dog person. I love someone's headcanon of him having an Irish Wolfhound? I think? way too much. Why did Aran decide to join the WVBA?

How is Aran's relationship with his family?

pretty good! though his father’s no longer around so uh that’s something.

Very, very good. He loves just about everyone in his family with his entire heart (Except his mother's mother and older sister) and hates being away from them for too long. He's close with his parents, grandma, and younger siblings and would hate to be without them in his life.

He has a terrible relationship with his dad, an alcoholic and abuser. He was very tough and strict as well. Aran got his drinking, cheating and shoplifting from his dad, he started at 15. He was able to provide for the family and living. He's a but sour with his mom because she stayed with his father; but only for the money and being able to live in a house. If they divorced, she loses everything and won't be able to find a job. But she still loves her family. Aran loves his sister, Daisy, he would do anything for her not to be like himself or their dad. Would protect her. He couldn't bring Daisy along because she was in custody with the parents, and he couldn't win. The reason he snuck out with his old Irish friends and went to box in the WVBA was to get away from his parents. He really doesn't want to come back, and ESPECIALLY doesn't want to talk about them.

His sister and pa are close, but his mam is so distant that his sister filled in the maternal role for him.

Strained, but due to forces that were out of their control. He keeps close with them but things can be hard for them to get along.

aran's has a mom and dad, and a lot of siblings. theyre VERY close but also very lenient, hence why aran's so out of control. aran could cause the end of the world and his parents would still say ''thats our boy!''. they also rib eachother constantly (its how they show affection), and aran does this to everyone around him, stranger or not. not necessarily very close to all his siblings, but would still take a bullet for them. in short: mess with his family, and youre DEAD.

Aran's a huge mama's boy; he *loves* his ma. I mean, if you think about it she is a part of his fame, she's one of the few people he's got left of his family. He also got a sis... with which they still fight about absolutely silly and not-worth-fighting-over things.

He loves his family! Except his dad that walked out, but he had an uncle who filled the spot instead.

He has some old 4 Irish folks back in the day, In WVBA: Great Tiger, Bald bull, SMM, Mr Sandman (sometimes if Aran doesn't get on his nerves)

I definitely feel he can be friends with Soda Pop, and has a bit of a friendship with Bear Hugger. Don and him have a big of a friendship, but it’s been strained due to Aran fighting to keep his place in the World Circuit. Glass Joe talks to him sometimes, but has a small fear of him.

Bear Hugger, Soda Popinski, Dragon Chan, Heike Kagero, Disco Kid, Rick Bruiser (don’t ask), and Piston Hurricane

I'm not sure how his friends, but he's acquainted with Great Tiger, because they both hate Narcis Prince.

I think that he’s not close with a lot of people but maybe soda popinski and don? Aran and Dons relationship is definitely being frenimies with the whole finding out his hair is a toupee. And soda popinski and Aran just drink together all the time and just spill secrets to eachother

soda popinski, bc he can handle his... quirky personality. Plus, they go to clubs to dance together, along w/ disco kid. speaking of which, he surprisingly gets along pretty well with disco kid, they bond over their music tastes, even if theyre radically different. they also collab on music together sometimes, with aran writing the lyrics and disco doing the instrumentals. they have a lot of creative differences however, but despite that, they remain friends.

The only person I can think of that may have been more-or-less of a friend to Aran ever is Soda. They've been great drinking buddies since the dawn of time, and can be real with each other only when they're drunk as all hell. They don't want anything to do with each other when they're sober tho.

He, Glass Joe, and Don Flamenco are besties. They annoy the ever-living daylights out of each other, but they're hilarious when they hang out together.

Little Mac bc I read a fic where they became best buddies and it changed my brain chemistry, and Disco Kid bc I read a fic where the they were friends but it wasn't the main focus which also altered my brain chemistry

Narcis prince and Don are semi-rivals, their relationships with him at least starting out as hostile. Snes Aran and him also don't get along and neither do him and Von Kaiser for a long time.

joe LMAO, he just bullies him, maybe kaiser, both are chickenshits, he also teases don sometimes but he just thinks its funny, he doesnt hate him

Hondo, Tiger (They mostly just tolerate eachother), Don, Macho Man, Bald Bull on occasion, Von Kaiser & Disco Kid (Only because they're both terrified of Aran & worry for Joe's safety.)

Narcis Prince is the biggest member of the “BOO ARAN” club. He didn’t like him much when Aran first got in, but he genuinely thinks he’s insane now. Don Flamenco’s there too, but wishes they could go back to being friends. Piston Hondo, Von Kaiser, Super Macho Man, Sandman. The lad has made a lot of enemies.

Definitely Joe. They’d definitely throw mean comments at eachother or snobby remarks (mostly from joe) there would be a bunch of back and forth (aran usually the one screaming at him) I just think it’s a funny dynamic of them always having something to fight about

super macho man, aran loves messing w/ the guy while seeing him as an equal competitor. great tiger and piston hondo specifically are his prankster rivals and on friendlier terms w/ him that the rest of the WVBA. a combative personality WILL lend you some enemies, surprisingly.

Everyone in the world circuit. Being way younger and not being around as long as they have, he's definitely not as close with them as they are with each other. They're not purposely trying to exclude him by any means, they just have trouble relating to him most of the time.

Narcis prince because hating the British is something that runs deep in Aran's blood. also him and Hondo HAVE to have beef their alignments clash so hard

i'd imagine he'd have some beef with super macho man, considering they've mostly been together in the world circuit i like to think aran likes to get under macho's nerves. i'd even say its a similar case with narcis prince, but thats a bit more.. playful? ik smm takes it personally

Here's my headcanon for why Aran cheats- Aran immigrated to the US as a child & his father passed away shortly after his sister was born- He becomes the breadwinner when his mother gets sick & now in order to support his family & cover their medical bills, he cheats & places illegal bets on his own fights. He keeps this fact increadibly close to his chest & absolutely hates asking for help.

Now, I don't have any miscellaneous headcanons, I just wanted to say thanks to the Mod and anons for an awesome survey here, hope that's okay-

I've been thinking about him actively seeking therapy. Not for his insanity (God forbid we fix that part) but for things he keeps better under wraps (anxiety, depression, self-image, etc.

Second he gets home the pants come off, you can SEE every time he left the house the past week bc he didn't pick up them drawers after he dropped them. -You two would always play little games where you try to steal kisses from each other while no one is looking. Of course no one notices.

-You two do tend to rival each other a lot too. Since you’re both complete equals on all levels, it’s always uncertain on who will win when you two wrestle, or even when you do take the exams. It also gives you both motivation to work harder.

-With this combined power You and Kirishima possess, you sort of become the parents of class 1-A. Helping keep students motivated n stuff. Even Tenya Iida has trouble contesting your guys’ authority over the class.

-Ok I’m sorry if this isn’t you but if you like Mina then you’re likely to be her opposite. I’m talking quiet kid, more on the masculine side/Tomboy-ish, you’re probably like a fucking emo (Don’t worry tho I like Mina too 😌)

-Fr though you two are fashion icons, the most aesthetic couple either.

-Mina likes to drag you to all her little social events, and although they can be tiring, being with her helped you come out of your shell a lot.

-tbh because Mina is so friendly and lowkey touchy with everyone no one even thought y’all were a couple. Like you guys didn’t really act that different to before your were a couple because she would always flirt with you before hand too.

-Best thing is you guys don’t even tell people you’re a couple now. So they get such a shock when you two start joking about kissing and then actually kiss. You two did this to Denki one time and he just short circuited. Though you have a suspicion it was more because he was turned on than from being shocked.

Sorry I'm late getting to this ask! But I'm so ready to info dump!

Sorry if some of this is worded weird, I took it directly from my character notes which at the moment are doubling as my story developing notes.

Brief story description (so far):

A murder mystery story with the main characters, Rosemary Josephine Wynn, a skeptical detective and Cromwell, a trans spiritualist who is also a dumbass and excitable.

It's the 1920s, these two are working out of a small building that they rented out together, they have been friends since Rose first met Cromwell during an investigation. She loved ribbing him about ghosts not being real and enjoyed how flustered the man got. Though she also disagrees with the business he runs and once thought he was scamming people until she realized he actually believes the shit he sells.

Now, onto the characters!:

Rosemary- Rosemary is a black woman who dresses pretty similar to what women would in the 20s but would include more masculine outfits from time to time when she's conducting detective business. She found people took her more seriously that way but during the story maybe she stops wearing the masculine garb altogether when she realizes that she wants to be able to be herself and still be taken seriously. She also starts styling her hair in more ways, instead of trying as best she can to straighten it every morning or hide it under a hat. She also tends to have a more masculine bravado which she developed over the course of her career, influenced by her three brothers also. She has muscular arms and could beat you up in her favorite pair of heels if she wanted to. Her celtic zodiac animal is the Snake (something Cromwell references often). She's strong, strong-willed and strong-headed. Not at all spiritual, focuses on objective facts more often than not. Makes it a bit hard for her and Cromwell to get along at first. Rosemary is very in her own head and anxious but very silent about it, having experienced a lot of mental and physical abuse from her mother growing up. Her mother raised her as a work machine since she was young, never really stopping to teach her lessons about emotions and sometimes actively punishing her when she displayed them. She was less strict on her brothers, Rosemary thinks it's because she was her least favorite but her mom knew how hard it was for black women to get ahead in life so she made sure she focused on her studies and being good at multiple things (though it does not at all excuse her behavior). Therefore Rosemary ends up emotionally stunted later in life, not opening up often out of subconscious or conscious fear of repercussions. Throughout the story, Cromwell, being the outgoing nonjudgmental guy he is tries to help her open up and ends up being able to do that throughout the course of the story. This could possibly all crescendo into a point in the story where Rosemary shows her affection towards Cromwell through actions, not being great with emotional words or sometimes words in general. Maybe she puts herself in-between Cromwell and someone wishing to do him harm, being the stronger of the two and not wanting him to get hurt. This could possibly be at the expense of her own well-being. This could be a big turning point, Rosemary outwardly showing affection towards someone for the first time in possibly her whole life aside from her brothers. Rosemary suffers with PTSD, a result from her household abuse. She also has a hard time actually getting into relationships, watching her parents own degrade when she was younger. She's also terrified of being left by someone she lets herself get attached to, which is what happened with her dad. Since she has PTSD it often shapes the way she thinks or reacts, which will be incorporated into the story during her perspective chapters.

Cromwell-

Cromwell is actually his last name but he uses it instead of his dead name, one of his teacher's having called him by his last name once making him realize how much he loved not being referred to as his first or as Ms Cromwell. He's not out to anybody, just keeps connected to underground trans channels who also happen to frequent speakeasys around town. He's also Scottish, Cromwell being a Scottish name. He has red hair and freckles all over but his eyes are two different colors, it's almost not noticable. One's blue and one's green. He's a dumbass but I love him. Most people have a hard time understanding what he says because of his accent, a lot of people roll their eyes at him when they hear him speak. He doesn't speak much though because of the uncomfortableness he feels about his voice being too feminine for his liking. The only person he talks to with regularity is Rose but that's only because she basically forces him into arguments about ghosts. Don't worry though, they're all good natured on Rose's part, Cromwell's just dramatic. He also wears very worn clothing, a trench coat and white button up that were both too big for him. He also wore slacks with holes that were caused by moths and, so he claims to Rose's upset, spirits (He's mostly joking when he says it. Mostly).

Him believing in ghosts so much may also have to do with him wanting to be able to contact his sister who had passed away years ago but not even Rose knows about that until later on. His sister was really the only support he had in his family. Cromwell also taught himself how to sew, helped by his mother teaching him when he was younger, so he could create his own binders and give them to other trans men he knows. His celtic zodiac is the Fox, having been born March 31st 1899, making him 21. He's very spiritual and emotional, but very extroverted and wants to know others. He's also a tad flirtatious. He helps Rosemary get more in touch with her feelings or at least tries to. He started with giving her complements but that quickly turned out to not be at all effective, she tended to react to them with sarcasm or annoyance. Cromwell has ADHD. His symptoms also show through when the book shifts to his perspective.

Some thing I didn't mention, they are probably one of my favorite ship dynamics, the skeptic and believer, introvert and extrovert, opposites attract. I love that shit. Also slight rivals to friends to lovers babyy!

This also might be slightly based on Mulder and Scully but shut up xD

Trouble in the alien kingdom

Obligatory long post ahead warning: this post is quite long and I know it may be intimidating to some readers but please don’t let it put you off if you’d still like to rp with me :) Hello ladies, gents, and fellow rpers. After having a writing blast and seeing how I’ve got room for some more partners I’ve decided to come back in search of some partners who are interested in what I’m looking for.I’ve got a good ten or so odd years of rping experience under my belt but any potential partners do not necessarily have to have the same experience, they simply need to fit under these three things: -third person only with correct spelling, grammar and punctuation. - at least one small (no less than seven lines) paragraph per post as well as being willing to write more if the situation calls for it. Please do not contact me intending to give me only small paragraphs with each response as the above is simply the bare minimum I’ll accept if there’s not much going on in the rp that warrants a full paragraph. -no one liners, one worders, script talk, poorly written sentences or just laziness in general. This isn’t terribly much to ask for as picky as it sounds. An important thing I shall mention is that NSFW (i don’t fade to black nor do I care when the smut happens. Just please don’t leave me once the smut has happened like lots of people seem to unfortunately do) and dark themes are a thing that occur in all my rp’s so I require you to at least be eighteen before you reach out to me. I will not accept anyone younger than 18 since I myself am in my early twenties. Underaged characters are also a no go as well. Please know that I’m in the eastern Australian time zone but almost any time zone Is compatible for me as I am awake at very odd hours. Another important thing I shall add is that you must be able to post at least once or more a day and if I don’t get any response after two weeks then I shall simply move on (only exception is if you notify me beforehand as to why you may not be able to post for a while. I’m not that vicious). I only rp as male characters, as it’s simply my preference, I do MxM or FxM pairings. I will not double and I do not play multiple characters. I don’t do sub/dom dynamics when it comes to any aspect of the relationship. My characters are also non human (they’re aliens since this is a sci-fi rp after all) but what species your character is doesn’t matter to me at all as long as it’s not some god modded Mary Sue. Please remember that alien simply means a creature not from earth. Aliens can have fur, scales, feathers, etc, depending on where they come from. An alien with fur or scalies is not a furry or a scalie and please do not refer to them as such as it’s rude to label someone’s character as something they’re not. I will not write with someone who will insist that the theory of chimpanzees and humans unable to crossbreed should apply to hybrid characters regardless of whether they’re alien/alien or human/alien. This is fiction, not reality. Please also do not control my characters or dictate their actions. My characters are also premade and only have descriptions, I don’t do face claims or pics. I also do not care if you make a character up on the spot. Please remember that this is a sci-fi rp and that I will not accept requests to do fandoms or any genre that doesn’t fit within the category of sci-fi. i will not accept a character that has no place in a sci-fi rp either like a dragon,harpy,demon, elf or some other fantasy creature. The planet setting will basically be medieval styled but with sci-fi elements added to it, like metal castles, technology, aliens and alien creatures, contact with other planets, etc. Down below are some ideas I’ve listed. I’m open to discussing any idea you may have or potentially mix and matching the ones below. Disgraced: *when one entered the royal guard they took upon themselves an oath that bound them by blood and courage to the dedication of the protection of their king, queen and the kingdoms heirs. They were sworn to protect them from any harm whilst at the same time not allowed to use their position or power to hurt anyone else. When one breaks that oath, they are sent away in disgrace and branded as a traitor who must swear to never return. Life on the run changes people, sometimes for the better.....or for worse.* Space pirates and nobles: *space was a vast starry and endless sea that many voyaged across for the purpose of research, leisure or finding ones destiny. Like any real ocean, it was filled with dangers. The most feared of all was space pirates. Bands of blood thirsty cut throats and scandalous troublemakers whose sole pleasure in life was to steal, kill and take others prisoner against their will. Only pirates dare to do what other criminals would not. When a merchant ship is robbed by pirates what fate will befall the nobles onboard?* Healing wounds, growing love: *winter on the planet of malgor is one that is feared for its extreme weather. Snowstorms could appear out of nowhere and many a traveller had frozen to death whilst trying to make their way from one village to another. It was also a time where people were at their most vulnerable, relying on the winter harvest to feed every mouth that had been born and raised in the kingdom meant no mercy was spared for poor wayfaring strangers. When a kind soul finds a wounded outcast and decides to bring them home, they discover a threat that’s lurking just beyond the borders of their place of protection.* The knight and the heir: *royals could be spoilt. There was no denying that. A life of good food, wealth, the knowledge that they’d be pampered and weighed on hand and foot by servants was more than enough to turn even the most well mannered child into an insufferable brat. The knights tasked with the protection of the future royals knew this all too well. What happens when one particularly gruff, no nonsense knight refuses to bow to the whim of their future ruler and shows them what it means to be a true leader?* Exile: *The wind howled as thunder crashed and shrieked all around the abandoned cargo ship. Rain pelted the metal hull, turning the ground into a cold, treacherously slippery and muddy shallow river. The ship itself had crashed into the planet countless centuries ago and was slowly being reclaimed by the environment. Plants grew from cracks in the floor as moss and vines decorated the walls. A figure sat miserably hunched in what was once the cockpit of the ship, their only shelter from the raging elements outside but not from the storm that raged inside of them. The figure leapt to their feet as the sounds of footsteps in the mud drew closer and they held their breath. Who would dare to venture out here on such a miserable night?* Enslaved: *imagine living the life of one of the most successful people on the run that could exist. Galaxies trembled at your name. You and your crew swam in wealth and the going was good. Mutiny, sadly and sometimes not sadly, exists on its own accord. One man reflected on this as he was forced to his feet. A collar attached to a chain and electromagnetic handcuffs prevented his escape as he stood for all those who cared to glance as they walked by in the market to see. No one wants to have their only life’s purpose to be to serve another......only sometimes people don’t get that choice.* (Important point of notice: I’ll be playing the slave/servant. You’ll be the master/mistress.) Betrothed: *for as long as there has been civilisation and leaders, there has been arranged marriages. Arranged marriages, or betrothals as they were more often called, consisted of pairing two people together and making them get married in order to secure ties to another land or another planet. Political marriages benefited everyone but the married pair it always seemed. After all, you couldn’t possibly be happy being married to a complete and utter stranger? How does one who is betrothed build a life of love and prosperity when the one who bears the rings of their union is not the one who also bears their heart?* (Important point of notice: this can go two ways, either our characters are betrothed to each other or one character is betrothed. The idea has endless possibilities) Sooooo..... about those pairings. What is in Bold is what I’m going to play if we choose the scenario: 1: enemies to lovers or rivals. 2: knight x royal 3: **wounded soldier/pirate/commoner** x high ranking person/royal 4: **commoner/rogue/street rat** x prince/princess 5: **slave/servant** x master 6: married person X unmarried person 7: any opposites attract type pairing 8: inter species relationships 9:forbidden love. PLEASE DO NOT APPROACH ME IF: 1: YOU GHOST AT THE DROP OF A HAT. 2: YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO PUT EFFORT IN TO MEET MY REQUIREMENTS. oh this could be me getting into Controversial™ stuff so please bear with me akshkrhgkhr like every person definitely has their own opinion of these two’s dynamic

i obviously like the idea of them as a couple, and i’ve been really enjoying us exploring the fact that they rushed into this engagement and are still exploring getting to know one another but also navigating their first relationship. i think i could honestly go for more them exploring all various kinds of firsts with each other, and they’re fumbling through it but are still well-intentioned. of course not everything will be a romantic fairytale. they’ve both got their flaws, and this relationship is a learning experience for them.

i think berkut encouraging rinea to come out of her shell more could also lead to a good effect in rinea then eventually having the courage to help berkut unlearn the bad traits he learned from his mother : namely his distrust of others, his constant need to seem strong, etc.

overall, i like writing their relationship as generally positive but am definitely open to a lot of bumps and miscommunication and trials that they need to overcome.

however, i can’t ignore the big elephant in the room: how the fandom is divided on whether their relationship is toxic or not. i personally don’t see it as that way, though i do agree that berkut is in the wrong in-canon and that rinea did NOT need to apologize to him post-mortem.

( this following portion is less for you and more for anyone else rlly who stumbles upon this so feel free to ignore the below since i know ur invested in this ship >_0b i’ve just had a lot of ppl confront me on the topic — and wanted me to portray this ship as toxic on this blog — and figured this is a reasonable point to discuss my views on their canon interactions )

my reading of sov is that berkut’s mental health is declining over the course of it. he was raised to believe he’s strong and groomed to become the new emperor, but he is being defeated left and right by someone he believes to be a commoner ( his mother taught him class elitism ) and is being stripped of the ability to prove himself. he’s been shut down from military involvement, a rigelian value, and his identity crisis is High. it culminates in berkut realizing he was never going to inherit the throne at all and thus understanding his entire life was a lie, and he is struggling to process that. he is being led to do things he normally wouldn’t ( nuibaba’s mirror, praying to duma ) and he does noticeably try and listen to rinea even in spite of his mental state being at its absolute lowest.

in general, he listens to her ( he doesn’t force her to watch the battle in act i, allowing her to leave with no protest after she explains herself ) and stays relatively open until she says something he misinterprets horribly in his overly paranoid state and he makes a snap judgment while he’s not in a right state of mind.

he trusts their relationship before that conversation, and this can be shown in how passionate he is when talking about their future as well as his soiree alt not expressing jealousy and allowing her to have the freedom to dance with other people besides himself, fully trusting her to still love him. i genuinely don’t think there’s sufficient grounds to call him abusive ( an isolated incident that he can regret is imo not enough ) or their relationship toxic, and i know people will disagree with me on this point.

FRIENDSHIP. Oni is certainly a ride or die kind of person, and that works out well that they’re in the same profession. He’s not really aware of Jed’s work outside of knowing him as the ghostface but he may just be ballsy enough to try and follow him around and stalk the stalker to admire his work and learn a thing or two. Of course that sure would be a shame if he got caught by his idol now wouldn’t it :^)c if he’s caught he’s gonna just cards on the table that shit and tell him he wants to learn more from Jed. He doesn’t expect to be his other ghostface solely because he doesn’t think he’s worthy of such a title. But with a little coaxing and training, who knows? :) maybe they can be the best of friends, coworkers by day and killers by night >:3c

ROMANCE. oughgh ok so Oni has Big Hearts @ Jed, Scream is his favorite series and the Ghostface is his all time favorite slasher. So to see someone continuing that legacy with such creativity and brutality committing to the shtick makes Oni admire him even more. This pretty much lead him to develop a huge crush on the Ghostface, not knowing who they were wasn’t a problem for him, he doesn’t need to know everything he just wants to watch and learn. He is completely enamored and Jed seems like he’s the very person who could give Oni what he needs to be accepted by the entity. Of course, a nice ol Power Couple Killers would be quite fun, “a nice twist to the original formula” as Oni might put it. Friends to lovers is always a nice trope as well, Oni is hopelessly obvious and hopelessly devoted to killers he admires. As always tho I am also always open for toxic ships as well B) I like being able to write heavier subjects so some unhealthy “can’t stand eachother but won’t walk away” could be fun to toy with as well if you’d be comfortable with it of course!

ANTAGONISTIC. maybe being in the same town and murdering people is a bit of an awkward situation! maybe it comes across as though Oni is trying to steal the limelight or be a copycat hackjob killer rather than a tribute to Jed? I’m not sure if that would be ic for him since he isn’t mine so I don’t wanna make any calls on that. But I do think it’d be funny and kinda fucked up if Oni was the annoying fanboy of Jed, who just keeps running into him and keeps trying to make him go away. Oni, of course, realizes he doesn’t like him but pretends he doesn’t notice and tries to gain his favor anyways. As a killer / survivor verse this may be fun simply because even if he’s throwing Oni on a hook, he’ll be swooning over him the whole time. And if you wanted a more antagonistic type of ship they could always be two competing serial killers that end up developing a lot of romantic and sexual tension.

Review: Tweet Cute was nothing like I expected it to be, but it was still so good. A quick, adorable read, that was fun throughout. Pepper and Jack are the perfect match, and their chemistry that was built on opposites attract and works perfectly. I was rooting for them from the beginning. I really enjoyed how it was written. I thought it flowed really well. The characters were great. I loved the interactions they had, and how the backstories tied themselves together in the end. I couldn’t help but feel for Pepper for most of the book. Her relationship with her parents, as well as how she kept quiet about a lot of things resonated with me. The only reason this isn’t a 5 star for me is because of the plot. It was paced to my liking, it didn’t feel rushed or stalling, but I felt like it was going back and forth a lot. At moments this was a bit frustrating to me. But overall, this was an entertaining read, with great characters and an intriguing story. It’s a great addition to the YA/Contemporary genre. And I look forward to reading more from Emma Lord in the future.
