Vacation - Jaebum (93/100)

Prompt: Vacation Member: Jaebum x Reader AU: Photographer!AU
Word Count: 682
You ran down the path ahead of Jaebum, laughing lightly. You looked back but, seeing that he was still holding up his camera, you playfully evaded him as you ran behind a lamp post that was next to the boardwalk.
“You know I can see you, right?” Jaebum said, chuckling lightly.
“No, you can’t,” you shouted, defiantly as you peeked around the side. Jaebum brought up his camera so you quickly used your sweater to cover up your face.
“Let me just take one picture! The sun’s not going to be this perfect again!” Jaebum whined, something that was unusual for your usual stoic boyfriend. You laughed at his antics and shook your head, covering your face and turning away from him.
“It’s called a hiatus for a reason, Jaebum,” you said, trying to run around behind him and his camera. “Nobody’s supposed to know what I’m doing,” you added, sticking your tongue out at him.
Jaebum sighed and let the camera hang around his neck as he walked over to the railing that separated the walking path from the ocean. You skipped over and wrapped your arm through his own, leaning against his shoulder.
“It is very beautiful though,” you mumbled, looking out onto the sun setting over the ocean.
You and Jaebum had been dating publicly for two years and you had finally managed to convince him to come on vacation with you. Since he was a photographer, it wasn’t hard for him to rearrange his schedule and get a week or so off. But because you were an idol, it was a bit more difficult to disappear. You explained the situation to your manager and, thankfully, she had fixed your schedule allowing you to go on a month-long hiatus.
So, here you were – living on the beach with your boyfriend for two weeks.
“I like this place,” Jaebum stated. “We should think about buying a vacation home out here,” he added, glancing around the boardwalk which was practically empty except for a few scattered tourists gazing out onto the ocean.
“Oh, no we’re talking about buying real estate?” you asked, chuckling lightly as you kissed his jawline. As the sun dipped behind the horizon, you pulled him along the boardwalk.
“It would be a good place to take nature photos,” Jaebum pitched, giving you a small smirk. You looked up at him and rolled your eyes playfully. “What? I’ve been meaning to broaden my portfolio,” he said, nudging you lightly.
You smiled down at the ground and then looked back up at him.
“You know, if you’re going to ask me to buy a vacation house with you here, I think there’s another question you should probably ask me first,” you said, winking at him playfully.
Suddenly, Jaebum pulled you over to the railing and stopped walking. You had just been joking but he was now facing you with a serious look.
“You’re right,” he said, his voice shaking ever so slightly. You furrowed your eyebrows at him and tried to make sense of what he was saying.
“Jaebum, what are you…” you began, but when he reached into his pocket and bent down, you suddenly realized what he was doing. You felt your heart race in your chest as you brought a hand up to your mouth and whispered ‘oh my god’.
“Y/N L/N,” Jaebum said, one knee on the ground as he gazed up at you. “Will you spend the rest of your life with me?” he asked, opening up the box to unveil a small diamond encrusted ring. You let out a small gasp and broke into a grin as you held back tears.
“Yes, yes, of course I will,” you said as you took his hand in your own and pulled him up so that you could press your lips passionately onto his. He wrapped his arms around you and kissed you back with an equal amount of passion. When you broke away, you looked up at him with a grin.
“Were you waiting all night to do that?” you asked, giving him a knowing look.
“Oh you have no idea.”

Safe - Mark (99/100)
You can find my post explaining the 100 Day Drabble Challenge here
To view the masterlist of drabbles for the challenge, click here
Prompt: Safe Member: Mark x Reader AU: Superhero!AU
Word Count: 1,434
Low-key imagined Mark as Dick Grayson the entire time I was writing this cause Dick is so great and so is Mark??
Being a superhero wasn’t easy.
Not when you had homework and chores and studies to also think about. But, somehow, Mark made do. He reckoned that it was definitely worth saving a lot of people at night, even if that meant being a little bit exhausted in the morning.
Tonight, was pretty much the same as every other night. He had already stopped a small drug trade that had happened in the far east side of town and now he was patrolling the area. Being able to fly and having super strength made it quite easy to take down regular, every day trouble makers. He was only hoping that he wouldn’t run into any other villains with superpowers.
Or maybe he ought to. That way he could take them down.
He was almost lost in his thoughts when he heard a shout from far off and the sound of men chuckling. In a flash, Mark flew across the buildings to peer down from above. In one of the alleyways, he saw three men cornering someone. One of them had a knife and, although it was dark and the shadows were deep, Mark thought he was holding it up to the person’s throat.
When he floated down to the ground, he was about to announce his presence when he suddenly saw the person’s face in the lamp light.
It was you.
You. Y/N L/N.
Mark had met you when you were both ten and you had just moved to the city. Your parents weren’t around much so you would often times run around the local park which was where you began your friendship with Mark. You spent years meeting up at the park, talking about your respective schools, lives, and problems. The two of you considered each other friends, but unbeknownst to you, Mark thought of you as something much more.
“Who the hell are you?” a voice called out, but Mark barely heard it. His eyes were locked onto yours and seeing the fear in them made him inexplicably angry. Mark shook away his thoughts, realizing that the men were now turning towards him.
“I’m the guy who’s gonna kick your ass,” Mark said, angrily. He wasn’t usually like this. When he was at school, he was always laid back and he thought he was pretty chill. But whenever he put on the mask and the superhero outfit, it was as though he was becoming a different person.
“Yea, we’ll see about that,” one of the thugs said. “Pretty boy in tights? Let me kick your ass,” the guy finished, rushing towards Mark with his fist pulled back. Mark easily evaded the punch and then pulled the thug’s arm, throwing him against the wall. With a roar, one of the other men pulled out a knife and attempted to stab Mark, but Mark evaded once more, flying over the man and landing his feet into the chest of the third. Unfortunately, the first man was now getting back up and grabbed a metal bar that was lying on the ground.
“Behind you!” you shouted, pointing to the masked man that was currently saving your life. The man quickly spun around and ducked before, using what looked like super human strength to slam the man against the second. Once all three men were lying unconscious, you heard the masked man sigh.
You were leaning against the wall and breathing heavily, not believing what just occurred. You tried to formulate a sentence but just stuttered as you stared down at the three bodies on the ground and the masked man in front of you.
You had seen him before multiple times on the news. There were always reports about how he stopped robberies, caught thieves, and was an overall superhero, but you had never thought that you would ever get to meet him.
Especially not under these circumstances.
Mark was currently having the same predicament. He didn’t know whether he should make a quick escape or not. He wanted to ask if you were okay and yell at you for being out so late, but he didn’t want to reveal his identity. He wanted you to like him for who he was, not a mask he wore.
“Uh…good evening,” Mark said. He was obviously putting on a fake voice, making it sound deeper than it probably was and you would have raised your eyes knowingly if you weren’t so emotionally exhausted.
“I…thank you…” you stuttered, nodding at him and then looking back at the men. “Are…are they…dead?” you asked, slowly. The masked men bent down to check the men and then shook his head.
“No, just unconscious,” he said, forgetting to use his fake voice. You were about to move forward when your legs betrayed you. You hadn’t realized just how much shock the situation had but you in and your legs almost melted, causing you to fall forward.
“Woah,” the masked man exclaimed, grabbing you in his arms before you hit the ground. “Oh my god, are you okay?” he asked, his voice frantic with concern. You nodded slowly and were about to respond when you froze.
“Whoa, wait, what?” you said, straightening yourself out. “I know you,” you stated, pointing at him.
“Uh…you must be confused,” the man said in a whisper to attempt to hide his voice, but you weren’t going to let him off that easily.
“No, stop that, speak in your normal voice cause I definitely know you,” you said, poking his chest with your finger as you sized him up, trying to place his voice.
“No you don’t,” he said, as quickly as he could. It was when he said this that it finally clicked. Your eyes grew tenfold and your jaw dropped.
“OH MY GOD. MARK?” you shouted, loudly. Mark immediately looked around and hushed you, bringing his finger to your lips. You felt your heartbeat race as you realized that your best friend and long time crush was in fact, a superhero.
“Shhhh, nobody’s supposed to know,” he said, frantically. You reached up to him and immediately felt the texture of the mask, feeling his neck for the line where the face mask split from the rest of the suit. Mark groaned and swatted your hand away, reaching up and pulling off the face mask.
His hair was slightly damp with sweat from running and fighting all night and you felt your heart skip a beat. His lips were a slight shade darker and his eyes were looking at you with nervousness. You took a step back into the wall and took him all in. The suit was skin tight and defined every muscle that he had, making you feel red in the cheeks just thinking about it.
“Oh my god, this is actually real. You’re actually a superhero,” you stated, breathlessly as you stared at him in shock. It was now the second time that night that you were frozen in place.
“Yes, but you have to promise you – ”
“Wait, you can fly!” you exclaimed, cutting Mark off with a grin on your face. “You can actually fly! Can you take me? Can you fly with me?” you asked, eagerly. Mark looked at you with a confused expression.
“Yea I guess but Y/N, you have to realize that this is extremely dangerous. If anyone – ”
“Woah, wait. This is why you’ve been sleeping during classes!” you stated, snapping your fingers as it all began to piece together in your mind. The more realizations you came to, the more excited you became.
“Y/N, I can’t – ”
“I can’t believe you didn’t tell me about this. I’m honestly super offended, Mark. I mean if I had superpowers I would totally tell you about them!” you ranted, shaking your head and crossing your arms. Mark gave you an exhausted look and then sighed.
“Can I please speak?” he asked, tiredly. You paused for a moment before motioning for him to proceed. “Okay, listen. I’m sorry that I didn’t tell you about any of this but it was…complicated. I want to explain it to you so just…just go home while I take these goons to the county jail and then I’ll meet you later tonight, okay?” he explained. You pondered his offer and then relented.
“Alright. Since you saved my life, I’ll grant you clemency…but only this time,” you said, smiling lightly. There was a small moment of silence before you threw your arms around him and squeezed him, your cheeks turning pink in the process.
“Thank you,” you said before turning and grabbing your bag as you headed home.

Dress - BamBam (90/100)

Prompt: Dress Member: BamBam x Reader AU: Fashion Designer!AU
Word Count: 509
“Can I please take this thing off?” “No, not yet! We’re almost there!” “Alright, alright just don’t let me fall okay?”
You felt BamBam pull on your arm as the blindfold covered your eyes, leaving you completely in the dark. He had told you that he had a surprise for you and, as your fashion designer, you could only imagine that it was a new clothing line. Usually he would pull you into the shop to see them, but he had never done it in this dramatic of a fashion before.
“Okay, we’re here,” your boyfriend said, a hint of nervousness in your voice. You chuckled softly and told him to take of the blindfold already. You felt BamBam’s soft hands reach around your neck and untie the fabric until it fell off around you.
You slowly opened your eyes and, when you did, your mouth fell open in a small ‘o’ and a gasp left your mouth. In front of you were three different wedding dresses, all snowy white and in different styles. You immediately stepped forward and reached out to feel the fabric, sighing in awe as you ran your fingers over the soft fabric.
“Well?” BamBam called out from behind you, his voice soft. “What do you think?” he asked, anxiously. You turned towards him and grinned, clasping your hands together and nodding enthusiastically.
“Bammy they’re so stunning! I love them all so much,” you stated, genuinely. You turned back around to the dresses and inspected them once more before speaking up again. “Are they for the next fashion week? I know there’s a smaller one in Tokyo coming up, but honestly, I think you should keep these for London or Milan they’re so stunning and – ”
“Y/N, they’re not…for fashion week,” BamBam said, cutting you off hastily. You turned towards him and furrowed your brow in confusion.
“What do you mean? Are they for a line? I thought you said you wanted to focus on the shows right now,” you said, looking at him closely. His arms were crossed across his chest and his usual confidence was gone. He was fidgeting nervously with his fingers and tapping his foot while his eyes were fleeting around the room.
“They…they’re for you,” he stuttered, softly. You looked at him in confusion before his words began to sink in. You felt your heart begin to race as you understood what he was asking you.
“Bammy…” you began, letting out a heavy breath, still not believing what was happening. BamBam slowly reached inside his coat pocket and brought out a small square box.
He kneeled down in front of you on one knee and cleared his throat as he popped the box open. Inside was a ring decorated with small white diamonds surrounding one larger diamond in the shape of an oval. Then, with red cheeks and a quivering voice, he asked you the question you had been waiting years to hear.
“Y/N…will you do me the honor of making me the happiest man alive? Will you marry me?”

Medicine - Mark (92/100)
You can find my post explaining the 100 Day Drabble Challenge here
To view the masterlist of drabbles for the challenge, click here
Prompt: Medicine Member: Mark x Reader AU: Vet!AU
Word Count: 864
You sat in the waiting room impatiently, tapping your foot to the beat of the song that was playing overhead. Biscuit looked up at you with a sad look on his face and then laid down by your feet. You bent over to pat his belly and cooed at him that everything was going to be okay.
“Y/N?” a voice called out. You and your puppy looked up at the lady standing in front of you and you nodded to her as you stood up. You grabbed Biscuit’s leash and followed the lady to one of the small rooms along the hallway.
“You can wait right inside, the doctor will be along shortly,” she chirped happily, giving Biscuit a pat on the head before leaving the room. You sighed as you sat down on one of the chairs, staring down at Biscuit who was curled up at your feet.
You had noticed his strange behavior for a few days now. At first you thought he had simply eaten something that upset his stomach, but when he started to become less active and cry more, you decided to take him to the vet. You only hoped that he was okay. The poor golden retriever was barely over a year old and was still a relatively small dog.
You were so lost in thought that you didn’t hear the veterinarian walk in until he said your name.
“Y/N? Y/N L/N?” he called out, making you lift your head to stare at the man in front of you. You barely had to take a second glance to notice how attractive the young man was as you stood up. He had soft brown hair that framed his face well and dark brown eyes that seemed warm. He was wearing a white lab coat but you could tell that he had a slender build.
“Yes, sorry, that’s me,” you said with a soft voice.
“Mark Tuan, nice to meet you,” the vet said, holding out his hand. You took it in your own and gave him a small smile. Then, Mark turned to your dog and bent down. “And this must be Biscuit,” he said, giving the small puppy a pat on the head. “Not feeling so good today?” he asked, his voice slightly higher than when he was talking to you. This brought a smile to your face, but the smile diminished when you thought about your dog.
“He hasn’t been eating a lot lately and his energy’s been really down. Usually he loves to run around and play but now…I don’t know what’s wrong,” you explained, looking down at Biscuit who has gently licking Mark’s hand. Usually he would be spazzing out and running laps around the small room but today he lokoed exhausted and eventually put his head back down on the ground.
“Alright, let’s check it out,” Mark said, picking up the small dog with ease and putting him on the table in the center of the room. This made Biscuit perk up a little as he was placed on higher ground and was slightly confused.
You watched as Mark inspected every part of Biscuit and took notes every now and then. He would ask you sporadic questions about Biscuit’s health and regimen to which you answered quickly, eager to hear the diagnosis.
Eventually, Mark put away his instruments and gave Biscuit a small pat on the head before turning to you and meeting your eyes. You felt your heart beat quicken but you pushed those thoughts aside to focus on your dog.
“Well, the good news is that it just looks like a flu. If we put him on some medicine now, he should be running around good as new in a week or so,” Mark said. You tilted your head slightly and gave him a curious look.
“And the bad news?” you asked, nervously. Mark gave you a small smile and nodded.
“The pills don’t taste very good for the dogs,” he said, lightening the mood. You let out a sigh of relief and then smiled.
“Well, a little peanut butter and he’ll eat anything,” you said, waving away the concern as you pat the top of Biscuit’s head and kissed him gently.
“Let me write you a prescription and then I’ll walk you out,” Mark said, smiling lightly to show cute, pointy teeth. You agreed and waited for him to finish writing before putting Biscuit back on the floor and leading him out of the room.
“Here,” Mark said, handing you the piece of paper. “It’s got the prescription order on it and also my number. You can come back in a week or so and we’ll check up on him again. Don’t hesitate to call me if you need anything, okay?” he said, meeting your eyes once again with genuineness. You let your mind wander for a moment before hastily corralling your thoughts back in.
“Oh, yea, yes of course,” you said, hurriedly. “I’ll see you next week. Thank you, doctor,” you said, gratefully.
“Please, call me Mark,” he said with a small smile as you nodded and headed out of the building, eagerly anticipating your meeting with him next week.

Changed - Jinyoung (88/100)
You can find my post explaining the 100 Day Drabble Challenge here
To view the masterlist of drabbles for the challenge, click here
Prompt: Changed Member: Jinyoung x Reader AU: Star Wars!AU
Word Count: 1,639
Arguably one of my favorite fics for this drabble challenge…definitely my favorite Jinyoung one~
“Jinyoung!” you repeated, tugging on your friend’s sleeve for what seemed like the hundredth time that morning.
“Y/N, stop it!” Jinyoung whined, pushing you off of him as you giggled and stuck out your tongue.
“I’m just playing around, Jinyoung! Come on, you can’t do homework all day. You should take a break and explore with me!” you expressed, your eyes shining as you grinned at your friend. Jinyoung huffed and turned back to his book, shaking his head.
“We need to focus on our Jedi studies before anything else,” he said, repeating the words your Master had told you earlier that morning. You rolled your eyes and flopped to the floor.
“Come on, please play with me?” you pleaded, putting your hands together in a praying motion and giving him the biggest puppy eyes you could. Jinyoung didn’t look at you, opting instead to berate you.
“If we don’t become one with the force, we’ll never become Jedi,” Jinyoung stated calmly, to which you dramatically sighed.
“Jinyoung, we’re only eight years old. I don’t think we’ll be full Jedi for a while,” you stated, sassiness dripping from your words. You then returned to your pleading, asking him to join you on an adventure and knowing that if you begged long enough, he would give in.
Sure enough, after a while of your annoyance, Jinyoung glanced over the top of his book to meet your eyes and then he sighed, setting it down.
“Alright, fine. We can go somewhere but not anywhere off limits,” he stated firmly, pointing his finger at your chest. “And not for long, we have to be back before Master Jing calls us to dinner,” he added. You hastily nodded and then broke into a grin, grabbing his hand that was still reached out and dragging him along on one of your adventures.
“Jinyoung,” you called out, following him out of the temple as he hurriedly walked through the halls. “Why are you mad?” you asked, genuinely concerned for your friend. He spun around to face you, making you stop in your tracks
“Are you serious?” Jinyoung asked rhetorically, furrowing his brow. “These lessons are a joke, we’re just reading the same things we’ve been reading for years now,” he stated, turning back and walking down the steps with you hot on his trail.
“But we’re doing a lot more meditation and force training than before! And we’re learning to use our lightsabers properly now too,” you pitched, trying to calm him down.
Eventually the two of you came to an open area and you pulled on Jinyoung’s arm to get him to stop.
“Jinyoung, please listen to me. You’re one of the best padawans in the temple right now. That’s probably why you feel so underwhelmed by everything we’re learning,” you explained earnestly.
He was usually a very straight-forward and formal person, and that hadn’t changed much since he was younger. But you noticed that he didn’t smile as much anymore and that he was beginning to look tired all the time. You assumed it was because he spent most of his time studying and training, but now it was beginning to worry you.
Jinyoung took a deep breath and looked at you.
“I’m sorry, Y/N,” he finally stated. “I don’t want you to think that you’re any less of a Jedi than I am, okay? I’m just being…” there was a short pause where you looked at him curiously while he looked off into the distance deep in thought.
“Being what?” you asked, gently, taking his hand into your own. Jinyoung snapped out of his trance and looked down at your hand and then back up at you, giving you a small smile – something you hadn’t seen in months.
“I don’t know,” he said, finally. “Dramatic, I suppose. Or too anxious. Look, it doesn’t matter, let’s just go do something to get our mind off things,” he said, turning away and beginning to walk back to the temple, motioning you to follow.
“Want to spar with me?” you asked, smiling widely at him as you held onto his arm. Jinyoung gave you another smile (it was the last time you would ever see him smile like that) and told you to lead the way.
“Jinyoung?” you called out. The room was dark but you knew that he was hiding somewhere.
“Leave me alone,” a cold voice echoed out. You felt shivers down your spine and took a deep breath before slowly walking in his direction.
“Jinyoung, please. Don’t shut me out. Whatever’s bothering you…” you said slowly, walking around the room until you found him crouched down between the wall and the desk. “…you have to talk to me about it,” you finished, stopping in front of him.
Jinyoung gave a low chuckle that sounded out of place as he slowly looked up at you. He was clearly sleep-deprived – his eyes hard dark circles around them and his face looked sunken. The innocent, carefree child you once knew and loved was no longer visible.
“Why would I talk to you about anything? You wouldn’t understand,” he stated, bluntly. “You’re just like them…walking around with your head held high, lying to yourself that the Jedi are a force for good when all the do is reinforce the systematic problems again, and again, and again.” You felt his words like a dagger in your chest as you took a step back.
“Jinyoung, no. That’s not true. The Jedi way is meant to keep peace and balance in the – ”
“PEACE? YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT PEACE?” Jinyoung shouted, leaping up from his spot on the ground, causing you to take a few steps backwards in surprise. “If the Jedi are supposed to be the ‘good’ guys then why do they lose so much? Why have so many of us died as children because of the Jedi Order? Because they wouldn’t break their ‘moral code’ to kill those who took it upon themselves to kill us?” Jinyoung angrily lashed, throwing his arms around.
“Jinyoung, stop, it’s not the – ”
“THAT IS THE TRUTH!” Jinyoung screamed, causing the objects in the room to crash into the walls. The lights flickered and you found yourself holding onto the wall as your heart pounded hard in your chest.
There was a moment of silence before Jinyoung turned sharply towards you and began to walk in your direction, never breaking eye contact. Almost immediately, you felt trapped, as if Jinyoung was a wild animal that finally had you cornered.
“Jinyoung, I know you, this isn’t what you – ”
“Tell me, Y/N…” Jinyoung said, moving in closer to you, within arm’s length. “…if the Jedi are so pure and wholesome…” he was now face to face with you, his eyes searing into your own as if daring you to look away. “…then why did they take us away from our families?” he asked, his brow slightly furrowing as he moved his face even close to yours.
You could feel his breath on your face and you wanted nothing more than to hold him in your arms, protect him from his own mind, and never let him go.
But you couldn’t move. No matter how hard you tried, you couldn’t will yourself to move any muscle in your body. You frantically looked down at your arms and legs, but were still unable to move at all.
“Jinyoung, what are you doing to – ” you stopped yourself this time as you croaked, your voice betraying you as fear poured out of your heart.
“If they’re so good, why did the take away our ability to be human…” Jinyoung continued, his voice now a deadly whisper. Jinyoung leaned closer until his forehead was touching yours. You looked at him but his eyes were now closed. It was only then that you realized there were tears streaming down his face. “…why did they take away our ability to love?” he stated, his voice barely audible as he breathed heavily.
You closed your own eyes and once again tried everything you could to move, but Jinyoung was far more powerful than you and while that once may have been something to laugh at during training, you were now acutely aware of his every movement.
You watched as another tear fell down Jinyoung’s cheek. You could feel his hand tightly gripping your wrist, and you could feel his lips ghosting over yours. You used every ounce of your strength to try to break free from the invisible hold that he had you in, but it was no use.
He was simply stronger.
After what seemed like eternity, but must have only been seconds, Jinyoung lifted his had from your wrist and took a few steps back. You were still unable to move, but you watched him with sadness as tears began to fall from your own eyes.
“Jinyoung, don’t do this, please. I can help you, we can work together,” you pleaded. Your voice shook and cracked but you didn’t care. You just wanted Jinyoung back. Your Jinyoung.
But Jinyoung simply turned to you and gave you a look of what could only be classified as pity.
“You just don’t understand, Y/N. The Jedi are weak. They’re never going to win. Maybe one day you’ll be able to see the truth. I hope you do…” Jinyoung said, shaking his head. “…for your sake.”
You watched as he turned towards the door. You screamed his name and begged for him to come back to you, but he simply ignored your pleas. Once the door slammed behind him, you fell to the ground, his hold over you breaking. You tried to stand up but immediately fell back down, your sobs echoing in the room as you curled up into the space between the wall and the desk.

Prompt: Liar Member: BamBam x Reader AU: Fantasy!AU
Word Count: 969
“I didn’t…not go into the Undying Forest on a blood mood at midnight…” BamBam said, hesitantly. You stared at him with confusion in your eyes as you rubbed your temples.
“Seriously? Bammy, there was one rule! ONE RULE!” you exclaimed, poking your finger into his chest as you groaned in frustration.
“Y/N, you know I love you, but I think we have bigger problems other than me not being able to follow the rules,” BamBam said, waving his arms around. You crossed your arms over your chest and then motioned for him to speak.
“What? What happened in the forest that was so horrible?” you asked, a bit sarcastically.
“I…” BamBam began but then closed his mouth. Your annoyance began to wash away as a feeling of curiousity filled it.
“Hey,” you said, walking over to him and taking his hand. “Are you okay to talk about what happened?” you asked, eyeing your boyfriend with concern. The wizard gulped and then nodded. You still couldn’t tell if he was being dramatic or serious.
“Okay, so first I was on the path and everything was fine. Then, I was kind of being an idiot and I found this other path on the side of the road which was overgrown and, in hindsight it was probably a really bad idea to go down it, but I’m not as bright as you are so I went down it anyways.
“Long story short, I ended up accidentally running into the middle of a meadow with a bunch of witches. They were trying to do a sacrifice or something and I messed it up. I tried to lie my way out of it and that didn’t work so I tried to magic my way out of it but that also didn’t work. Eventually one of them cast a spell on me and said some weird words and now I’m cursed because I can’t tell lies.”
BamBam said his story in one long breath and when he had finished he took a small gasp of air before looking at you nervously. You let his works sink in and you were about to speak but you couldn’t help yourself and ended up bursting into laughter.
“Oh my god, Bammy,” you cried, clutching your sides as you laughed harder than you had in a long time. BamBam looked down at you with annoyance and crossed his arms in embaressment.
“Stop laughing, it’s not funny!” he exclaimed. Then he piped up, saying, “Well, okay, it’s a little funny when you think about my tendencies and the concequences but that is NOT THE POINT!” he shouted, his cheeks turning red as he spurted out the truth.
You wiped away a tear that was coming from your eye and sighed, suppressing giggles as you took his hand gently.
“Aw, okay Bammy, I’m sorry I shouldn’t have laughed at you,” you said, pecking him on the cheek. He pouted and looked away with a ‘humph’ so you led him into your common area where there were spell books scattered around everywhere.
“Do you want me to help you break the curse?” you asked, lifting an eyebrow at him as you gestured to the many ancient texts around you. BamBam looked at then and then nodded.
“Yes please, there’s absolutely no way I’ll be able to break the spell on my own,” he said, scowling at his inability to keep the truth out. You giggled slightly and then cracked a book open.
“You know, there’s a difference between lying and telling part of the truth,” you said, scanning the pages of the book you were looking at.
“Yea I know but it’s this stupid curse! It makes me tell the whole truth. Whenever anyone asks me something, I barely have a second to think before the truth comes spurting out,” he whined, picking up a book off of the couch and skimming through it.
There was a brief moment of silence where the two of you were lost in the books in front of you, but then you glanced up at him with a devious smirk on your lips.
“So Bammy,” you began, slowly. The boy looked up at you at the sound of his name, but upon seeing your smirk he narrowed his eyes.
“Why are you smirking like that? Stop smirking like that,” he said, whining. You grinned and peered over the top of your book, eyeing him closely.
“Well, since you can’t lie to me, tell me honestly…” you said, thinking of all the things you could ask him right now. “…do these robes make me look fat?” You opted for a casual first question.
“No, actually they make your legs look really long and I like the way it fits on your hips,” BamBam said quickly before smacking himself on the face and groaning. “Okay, I’m just gonna leave before you – ”
“What do you want for your birthday?”
“A new portable cauldron and an extra set of Kryan extract with some honeyplump berry pie,” he said. You realized that every time he answered one of your questions, his eyes would almost fog over, as if he was being compelled to tell the truth from some other force.
“Y/N, stop, you’re going to make me say something bad,” BamBam whined, not wanting to continue to be subjected to your torture. You let out a small chuckle, and then nodded.
“Okay, can I ask you one more?” you asked, innocently holding up one finger. BamBam eyed you curiously but nodded.
“Do you love me?” you asked, bluntly.
“Yes,” BamBam replied. There wasn’t even a moment of hesitation. You let a grin spread across your lips.
“Good,” you chirped as you pecked him on the cheek and then went back to your books. “Now lets break this curse of yours.”

Prompt: Runaway Member: Jackson x Reader AU: Private Investigator!AU
Word Count: 1,302
Requested by: @leftmyheartinyokohama
Jackson sighed as he brought the binoculars down from his eyes and leaned back against the wall. He had been standing by the building for what seemed like the entire day and he wasn’t any close to finding the target he was looking for. He reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out the picture of the young girl, remembering what your mother had told him.
“Please, help me find Y/N,” your mother begged. “She ran away about three years ago and I haven’t heard from her since. We fought a lot and…well I knew she would leave at some point. But I want to see her again and I want to apologize. Will you please find her? For me?”
The case had seemed easy enough and within a week, Jackson was able to discover that you had moved to Japan shortly after you left your home. You hadn’t changed your name at all so Jackson had thought you would be quite easy to find.
Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.
It was almost a month since he got the case and he had been able to track down your relative location, but he couldn’t seem to find you. However, for the past few days, he had been staking out a café where he had deduced you would be working at. It was only then that he finally realized why he couldn’t recognize you straight away.
You looked like a completely different person.
Sure, your hair was shorter and you were wearing different clothing, but that wasn’t the main change. You had lost a significant amount of weight and, more importantly, you were smiling. Jackson couldn’t seem to recall a picture of you at all in your house in which you were smiling as broadly as you were in the moment he saw you enter the café to begin work.
Walking into the café, he snuck a glance at you before sitting down in one of the booths and picking up a menu. When you finally noticed there was someone new in the café, you walked over and smiled, setting down a glass of water and a straw.
“Good morning, my name is Y/N and I’ll be your server today,” you chirped happily in fluent Japanese. “Would you like any coffee or tea?” you asked. Jackson nodded and then spoke in English.
“Coffee please. Black,” he stated, staring at you intently as if trying to capture every detail of your face. You felt the heat rise to your face as the attractive customer made fierce eye contact, but you nodded and said, ‘right away’ before hopping off to make him coffee.
“Careful, it’s hot,” you said, placing the small cup in front of him, along with a small case of cream and sugar. You were about to bow and take your leave when the man spoke up.
“Do you have a moment to sit?” he asked, his chocolate brown eyes showing nothing but sincerity and kindness. You glanced around at the otherwise empty café and nodded slowly, sliding into the booth across from him.
“Is there something wrong, sir?” you asked, addressing him formally as you would with any customer. The man chuckled, a sound that made your heart skip a beat and you fidgeted slightly in your chair.
“There’s nothing wrong,” he stated, looking at you genuinely. “But I have to ask you this: are you miss Y/N, L/N?” he asked. You furrowed your eyebrows at him and looked at him suspiciously, wondering how he could have known your last name.
“Um…yes…” you said, slowly. “How exactly do you know my name?” you asked, curious. The man before you pulled out a folder from his briefcase and handed it to you. You took it slowly and then opened it, your eyes widening as you flipped through the pages and pages of information, pictures, and locations all relative to you within the past three years.
“My name is Jackson Wang. I’m a private investigator and I was hired by your mother to find you,” Jackson stated softly, looking at you intently. You swallowed hard, wondering why your mother would send a PI to find you when all she ever did was tell you how wrong you were. She never supported you and you had always assumed she never loved you either.
“How…how did you find me?” you asked, weakly.
“It’s my job to track people down. That’s what I do,” Jackson gave you a small smile and you immediately looked back down at the folder.
“I…I don’t understand. Why…why does she want to get in touch with me?” you stuttered, your eyes glued to the papers in front of you as you struggled to piece together what was happening.
“Y/N…” Jackson said, reaching out to gently touch your hand. You brought your eyes up to him and suddenly realized that your vision was blurry and that there were tears on your cheeks.
“Listen,” he began. “I don’t know what kind of relationship you had with your mother or what happened before you left home. That’s not my job. My job was to find you, and now I have. It’s up to you whether or not you want to get back in touch with your family, but I will tell you this. Regardless of what happened in the past, your mother loves you. She was scared for you and she wants to try to reconnect with you.” You stared down at your hands for a moment and indulged in the silence before speaking up.
“This…this is a lot…” you stuttered, trying to put your thoughts into words.
“Hey,” Jackson said, gently, making you once again look up at him. “You don’t have to decide anything right now. Take your time. I’ll still be here for a few more days,” he stated, pulling out his wallet and handing you cash.
“Wait, take the folder too,” you said, scrambling to put it all back together. Jackson simply shook his head and shot you a smile.
“Keep it. Thanks for the coffee. I’ll be back again soon, okay?” he said, waving as he left the café. You looked down at the papers and took a deep breath. You had a lot to think about.
Jackson visited you the next day, and the day after as well. You had expected him to be cold and turn you into your mother the moment he found you, but he was surprisingly charming. He could make you smile easily and he was quite hilarious when he wanted to be.
Over the course of the next few weeks, you got to know him better and he got to know you as well. He learned more about what your home life was like and you told him all the stories about growing up with your siblings. He told you about himself as well and his job.
Finally, one night at the end of your shift, Jackson asked you if you had decided what to do.
“I think…I’m going to call her,” you said, biting your lip. “Maybe not now…maybe not this week, but I will call her,” you stated. Jackson nodded and you gave him a smile. “Don’t worry, you can tell her you found me,” you added.
“I will. But don’t worry, I’ll let her know that you want to be the one to instigate the conversation as well,” he added, chuckling.
“Am I…going to see you again?” you asked. You had gotten to know him quite well in the past few weeks and you had to admit that you were beginning to have greater feelings for him. Jackson turned to face you and gave you a smile before leaning to kiss you on the cheek.
“Don’t worry,” he said with a wink. “I’ll be back sooner than you think.”

Circus - Yugyeom (98/100)
You can find my post explaining the 100 Day Drabble Challenge here

Prompt: Circus Member: Yugyeom x Reader AU: Circus!AU
Word Count: 1,997,
You hummed lightly as you hung up your clothes on the clothesline, taking care to straighten out your costume so as to not have any wrinkles in it the next day. You were so engrossed in the activity that you barely heard someone come up behind you.
“Y/N, there you are.” You turned around and gave a small smile to your boss.
“Hey Jaebum. Did you need something?” you asked the ringleader, glancing back at him before turning back to your clothes and continuing to hang them.
“Just wanted to give you this,” he said, handing you an envelope which you immediately recognized as your weekly pay. You gave him another smile and nodded.
“Thanks, boss,” you said, jovially. Jaebum tipped his hat to you and then began to walk away but stopped and then turned back to say, “Oh, and if you want some more target practice, the newbie is officially part of the crew so knock yourself out.”
You let out a small chuckled and hushed him, smiling widely. Once you finished with your chores, you walked back over to the main tent to see how everyone else was using their day off. Entering the common area, you saw Jinyoung and Jackson sitting next to each other eating a late lunch.
“Hey guys,” you said, walking over and leaning down to give them both side hugs.
“Hey, Y/N. How’s it going?” Jinyoung asked. You leaned against the table and shrugged. Jinyoung was Jaebum’s right hand man and although he didn’t have a specific act in the circus, he was the genius behind the scenes.
“You know…it goes,” you said, stealing a bit of bread from Jackson’s plate as he smacked your hand playfully.
“Go play with your knives, we’re busy,” Jackson said, sticking his tongue out at you. You raised your eyebrows and looked at Jinyoung with curiousity.
“Oh? Something new? Jackson, are you changing the strongman act?” you asked, taking a seat next to Jinyoung. Jinyoung shook his head.
“No, we have a few newbies. We’re thinking about adding a new act completely,” Jinyoung explained. You hummed in agreement and glanced around.
“So where are they?” you asked. “I wanna meet them,” you stated, excitedly. Jackson chuckled at nodded towards the exit.
“I think Jaebum has them cleaning out the animal cages,” he snickered. You bit back a smile and then stood up.
“Alright, let me go help them,” you said, snagging one more piece of bread. “God knows they won’t have any sympathy from either of you,” you added as Jackson laughed and shook his head while Jinyoung simply smiled lightly and shrugged.
You exited the common area and walked across the fairgrounds, nodding at the groundskeepers, your fellow circus folk, and the other people that scattered the circus area. You had been with the circus for just about five years and you were always seeing people come and go.
You had been a young pick-pocketer on the street and it was actually Jackson that caught you and brought you to the circus. At first you had refused, but after a while, you realized that the circus was like a small tight-knit community. Everyone was different, but everyone loved and respected each other.
At first you were stuck on cleaning duty, making sure the grounds were spotless, cleaning the dishes, washing the clothes, and other mundane activities. But you wanted to play a bigger role in the circus, and so you began to shadow many of the acts.
The lion taming was a bit too much for you. Trapezing was also way far out of your league and there was no way that you would be able to showcase any other personal talent.
It wasn’t until you met the old knife thrower that you found something you enjoyed doing and could potentially be good at. Her name was Dolores and she was just about the most strict, rude, and potentially life-threatening person you had ever met. But she was also one of the best knife throwers around.
After a few years of watching her and practicing, you had honed your skills to the point where you too, were a fairly accurate knife thrower. Of course, you were nowhere near as good as Dolores, but that type of skill would only be gained with age.
And so, seeing your skills and wanting to retire to a beach house far away, Dolores took her leave, naming you the knife thrower to be in charge of the act.
Now, as you walked over to the animal cages, you reminisced about the times when you were still new to the circus. You pulled away the door and walked inside, looking around at the monkeys and horses.
“Yugyeom, get up and help me! Look, even BamBam is helping!” you heard a voice call out. You walked over toward the voices and saw three boys about your age. One was sweeping the floor while another was pouring more hay into the horse’s stables. The third boy was leaning against the wall, watching the other two with a small innocent smile on his face.
“Sorry Youngjae, cleaning is your job,” the boy who you now knew as Yugyeom said laughed, teasing the boy that was pouring the hay who was supposedly Youngjae
“You suck,” the last boy, who you assumed was BamBam, said with bitterness. You walked up and the three of them turned their attention to you.
“Hey there,” you said, sticking out your hand to Youngjae who was the closest to you. “I’m Y/n,” you added, leaning up against the tiger cage casually.
“I’m Youngjae,” the boy said, shaking your hand. “That’s BamBam and that’s Yugyeom,” he added, pointing to the other two. BamBam nodded and you and Yugyeom gave a small wave.
“Are you new too?” BamBam asked, forgetting his work to speak with you instead. You laughed lightly as the tiger, Sheila, sauntered over to you.
“Not really,” you said, sticking your hand into the cage and letting her sniff it. You glanced at the boys and bit back a laugh as you looked at their horror ridden faces. Sheila, however, simply licked your hand and nuzzled up against the side of the cage.
“Okay, that’s terrifying,” Youngjae said, taking a step back and going back to shoveling hay into the horse’s cage. You let out a small laugh and shook your head.
“She’s harmless, don’t worry,” you said, petting her head and pulling your hand away to walk over to the other two. “So are you guys off the street? Or from another circus?” you asked, curiously.
“Youngjae and I got picked up by Jaebum,” BamBam said. “Yugyeom…not so much,” he added, pointing to the other boy.
You turned your attention to Yugyeom and realized that he was much taller than you had originally thought. He had dark hair that fell into his dark eyes and high cheekbones – all of which made him seem more mysterious.
“He’s exaggerating,” Yugyeom said with a small smile. “But yea, I came from another circus. I was working in a different city but the circus got disbanded. Apparently, our boss knew yours so I got recruited,” he explained. His voice was a bit higher than you had expected but it was pleasing to hear – almost like bells.
“Really? What was your act?” you asked, inquisitively. Yugyeom gave a nervous smile and rubbed the back of his neck.
“I was just a fire-breather,” he said. BamBam scoffed as he brushed away the hay from the ground and rolled his eyes.
“Yea…just a fire breather. No big deal,” BamBam said sarcastically. “Meanwhile, we’re over hear doing the grunt work,” he added, sadly.
“Don’t worry, everyone starts with the grunt work. You’ll move up…eventually…” you said, giving him a small encouraging smile.
“What about you? What do you do here?” Yugyeom asked, crossing his arms.
“Knife thrower,” you said with a nod of your head. “So if you guys get tired of working with the animals, I may need someone to target practice at,” you mentioned.
“At?” Youngjae exclaimed, his eyes going a bit wide. You immediately shook your hands in denial.
“No, no! I meant…with!” you hurriedly said, trying to alleviate his fears. Unfortunately, he was right. “Anyways, I just wanted to introduce myself. I should get back to the main tent, but I’ll see you guys later okay?” you said, motioning to Youngjae and BamBam. “See you at practice,” you added to Yugyeom before taking your leave.
“So, this is the fire bender?” Jackson asked, sitting next to you on the bench as you watched Yugyeom practice in front of you.
“You mean fire breather?” you asked, chuckling slightly.
The big top was loud, preparing for the next big show. You had gotten up early to practice your knife throwing and now you were taking a break and watching the others. The bearded lady seemed to be working on her performance while the ventriloquist was working on his. The contortionist was off to the side while the trapeze artists where flying through the air, trying out new tricks while occasionally falling onto the nets below.
Yugyeom was off to the side, twirling two sticks in his hands and doing an intricate dance, but he had not yet lit his sticks. You watched him closely. You had never had a fire dancer or eater or breather at your circus and you were very interested in what Yugyeom had in store. He was quite young but, as you knew, age didn’t really matter when it came to skill.
“You’re drooling a little,” Jackson said, touching the side of your mouth that was slightly open but you immediately flinched and swatted his hands away. Jackson chuckled and you rolled your eyes.
“Shouldn’t you be over there lifting something?” you asked, jokingly. Jackson laughed again and then nodded.
“Yea, you’re probably right,” he said hastily as he nodded over to the entrance and then scuttled away. You followed his gaze to see Jaebum walking into the tent and you quickly scampered back to the target area as well.
Every now and then, you would look back at Yugyeom in anticipation for him lighting his sticks, but he never did. Eventually, he took a break and sat down on the ground, drinking water. You took your opportunity and set down your knives, walking over to him.
“Hey there,” you said, standing in front of him and waving lightly.
“Oh, hey Y/N,” he said, happily, patting the ground next to him. You took his invitation and sat down, drinking deeply from your water bottle. “It’s kind of amazing, isn’t it?” he said, looking around at all the acts. “I can’t believe you guys have a tiger. And a lion!” he exclaimed. You looked over to Mark who was petting Sheila and kissing her head and you chuckled.
“Yea, we’re kind of the best circus ever,” you said, genuinely. Yugyeom nodded. “But to be honest, I’m excited to see your fire dancing. I’ve never seen anyone work with fire before,” you said, motioning to his sticks.
“It’s not really that exciting, just really…hot,” he said, casually.
“Really?” you asked. You raised an eyebrow at him and when he looked at you he immediately turned pink and shook his head.
“Wait, no, not like that. I mean it’s actually>/i> hot. Like sometimes I’ll accidentally burn myself or something,” he quickly said, mumbling lightly. You gave a light laugh and nudged him gently with your shoulder.
“Well, either way, I’m excited to see it,” you said. “Any way I could get a sneak peek?” you asked, smirking lightly. Yugyeom locked eyes with you once more and then slowly nodded.
“Yea…I think so,” he stuttered, slightly surprised. You stood up and brushed yourself off and grinned down at him.
“Great! Meet me here tonight at midnight. I want to see what you can do,” you said, smirking once more and then walking back to the practice range feeling victorious.

Anger - Youngjae (89/100)

Prompt: Anger Member: Youngjae x Reader AU: N/A
Word Count: 687
“Hey Youngjae! How’s it going with the song, have you finished it yet?” you asked, casually walking into the studio and dropping off a take out box for your friend.
Youngjae didn’t look up at you, instead intensely focused on the computer in front of him. You reached over and nudged his arm which caused him to jump slightly and look around in confusion. When he saw that it was only you he nodded and took out his headphones.
“Oh, sorry Y/N, I was just working on this song. It’s taking a lot longer than I thought,” he said. His voice sounded tired, but there was something else there that you couldn’t quite place. You frowned and leaned against the counter.
“Is something wrong?” you asked, looking at him inquisitively, taking in his dark eyes, smooth face, and soft lips. Youngjae looked up at you in almost an annoyed manner and nodded.
“Yea, I just said it, didn’t I? The song is taking me forever to finish,” he mumbled.
You were a bit taken a back – Youngjae was usually never like this unless he was being sarcastic. He was usually upbeat and happy. Whenever he got into a foul mood it was usually a lot of whining and the occasional sassy remark. Now he genuinely seemed frustrated and, honestly, a little angry.
“Yea…I guess you did. Sorry,” you said, a bit confused by his tone. There was a moment of silence before you spoke up again. “Is there anything else I can do for you?”
“No, you can’t so please leave. You’re distracting me,” Youngjae said, not looking up at you as he continued to type on the computer. You felt a pang in your heart and now you were beginning to feel even more hurt by his words.
“Okay, I’m sorry. Look I just came to drop this off because you mentioned it would be a late night. Just take it and forget I even came by, okay?” you said, hastily as you pushed the takeout box over to him. You felt a lump in your throat begin to form so you stood up, beginning to leave the room.
“Wait, Y/N,” Youngjae called out, making you turn around and face him, your arms crossed.
“What? You said I’m distracting you so I’m leaving,” you said, your tone laced with slight bitterness. Youngjae tilted his head back and groaned, rubbing his eyes.
“I’m not mad at you, Y/N, I’m mad at this stupid song that’s not coming together no matter how hard I try!” Youngjae exclaimed loudly. You looked away from him and shook your head.
“Youngjae, I know you. This isn’t how you deal with stress, there’s something else going on,” you stated, pointing your finger at him as you willed the lump in your throat to go down.
“There’s nothing else!” Youngjae exclaimed once more, even louder. You still refused to believe him, taking a step closer and pleading with your eyes for him to tell you.
“Yes, there is so just tell me!” you shouted back as all of your emotions burst out like a waterfall.
“IT’S BECAUSE THE SONG IS ABOUT YOU!” Youngjae yelled. This made you freeze in your tracks as you processed what he had just said.
“I…what?” you whispered, trying to understand why Youngjae would write a song about you. Youngjae fell back into his chair and turned his face away from you.
“JYP wanted me to write…a love ballad…and I needed inspiration from someone I have real feelings for so I chose you,” Youngjae explained, slowly. “That’s why I was so frustrated. Because even if I could tell you my feelings through the song, I can’t bring myself to tell you in real life,” he finished, refusing to look in your direction. You began to realize that Youngjae was confessing to you and this made your heart race in an entirely new way.
“You…you’re writing a love song about me?” you asked, a small smile coming to your lips. Youngjae nodded, but still didn’t turn to look at you.
“Well…if you need more inspiration…will you sing it for me?”
