Seb helmets: the long awaited sequel
Mugello 2020:
Tumblr media
Not on Seb's website, but still on ferraris instagram, Seb had this helmet to celebrate Ferraris 1000th gp. (in the same week, he announced his move to aston martin)
Turkish GP 2021
Tumblr media
a beautiful sea creature design to remind us to save our oceans. i personally really love the turtles
Singapore GP 2022
Tumblr media
gorgeous neon rainbow on super light absorbent black design. now it can be said with finality (as of yet): jens munser and sebastian vettel never missed when it was about helmets in singapore. i have a keychain of this helmet so I'm especially fond of it.
British GP 2022
Tumblr media
ngl i cried a bit just from pulling those pictures up again. he is so loved. i love how even though we know barely anything about sebs family, this helmet shows so much personality from his kids and hanna. this is the most gorgeous helmet of them all. however, shoutout to the subtle nigel mansell design hed have driven with if his family hadn't made a secret birthday helmet for him.
Abu Dhabi 2022
Tumblr media
I'm so so proud to be a fan of a driver who loves his fans. The few times I've met Seb, he's always taken his time - often more than allotted - to greet as many people as he could, pose for pictures sign things etc. He feels very genuine in showing his appreciation for his fans and so I think this helmet is a beautiful monument to the love people have for him. He is deeply beloved and in turn, he loves his fans and has shown this from his retirement message that was so much more personal than a press release, over the time between the announcement to his last race and beyond. This helmet is a testament to the way we love Seb and the way he loves us back.
USGP 2022
Tumblr media
Peace and Love baby! this gorgeous woodstock inspired piece is incredibly gaudy and glittery and very unapologetically so. i love it deeply but opinions were very split on it
Japan 2022
Tumblr media
a very cleverly done thank you to helmet provider arai. who doesn't love opening packages? especially one as beautiful as this one! it's a bit sad to not have the little ninja mascot on the helmet for sebs last f1 race in japan, however, with his 2022 helmet designs being so beautiful and elevated, he outgrew it a bit. important side note about japan 2022 here is sebs battle to the line with fernando alonso.
Hungary 2021
Tumblr media
Let us remember this GP for the joy it brought and not the desperation that followed. Seb came, saw and served cunt in his rainbow sneakers, rainbow shirt, rainbow mask and rainbow helmet. He drove to the podium and nothing bad or terrible happened after.
Brazil 2022
Tumblr media
the intertwined bars of the german and then, further up, the climate change flag (and the brazilian one on top) are reminiscent of the 2018 german gp helmet!
Austria 2022
Tumblr media
The iconic bee helmet! I actually have a few pics of this one from the Austrian GP that i took myself. Even though that GP specifically sucked so hard it made Seb sway towards retiring, the helmet is beautiful and iconic.
Honourable Mentions:
- Miami 2022: the snorkel helmet! first GP underwater, also premiering sebs GIGANTICALLY OVERSIZED climate change t shirt also found in his shoo
- Canada 2022: Canadas Climate Crimes/ stop mining tar sands. this one made a politician on twitter sooooo angry. it lost her rant a bit of credibility that she directly profited from the tar sand mining.
- LGBTQ+ CLEAN OUR OCEANS (Abu Dhabi 2021): the world's to do list. i mostly have to laugh at the unlucky placement of the lgbtq+ and the clean our oceans phrase. why are the cishets exempt from cleaning our oceans? questionable.
- Race4Women: Saudi Arabia 2021. a return of the beautiful day-glow paint.
almost all of sebs helmets are either on the sebsite or deep in jens munsers archives (difficult but not impossible to find)

Last season, I started going through the official f1 documents after every race out of curiosity. The race scrutineering documents are always my favorite to look at. I guess it wasn’t common knowledge to many fans that they do these types of random and varied tests on the cars every single race? I know the results were unpleasant for some but I feel like it was blown a little out of proportion for something that is pretty standard practice.
This post shows parts of the USGP race scrutineering document for anyone who doesn’t feel like downloading it directly from the fia site: https://www.tumblr.com/f1-obsessed333/731963365076910080/great-and-informative-thread
Yeah the scrutineering documents are interesting and they are kind of partly why I encourage new fans who are interested in learning more about F1 to look at the scrutineering docs or the stewards documents
Tbh iirc there was a similar sort of outcry when Vettel was DSQ’d in Hungary in 2021 for a incomplete fuel sample, there’s just certain drivers who cause a bit of an outcry when something happens
Also yeah go check out the post by @f1-obsessed333 if you are interested

The United States Grand Prix was the MOST-ATTENDED race of the season as 440000 descended on Austin
The United States Grand Prix was the MOST-ATTENDED race of the season as 440,000 descended on Austin... and 9.2m TV audience is 7% up on 2021 as F1 fever continues to grow in the US Despite the driver's title wrapping up the race prior, COTA saw record turnout It surpassed the Australian Grand Prix mark of 420,000 from earlier this season News this weekend said Logan Sargeant could be the first American in F1 since 2015, with the Florida native set for a Williams drive if he has the license points Click here for all your latest international Sports news from DailyMail.com  By Jake Fenner For Dailymail.Com Published: 10:17 EDT, 25 October 2022 | Updated: 10:18 EDT, 25 October 2022 Over 440 thousand fans made the trip to the Circuit of the Americas on the outskirts of Austin, Texas for the weekend of the United States Grand Prix. That number makes it the most attended race of this season's Formula One calendar, with this week's Mexican Grand Prix the only race to historically have a chance of surpassing it. That number surpassed the Australian Grand Prix, which broke its own attendance record while the races have taken place in Melbourne - with 420,000 attending at the Albert Park Circuit. COTA's attendance was a look into what could be an even further growing boom for the sport in the United States. With two races stateside this year, and a third added to the calendar next year, there are more opportunities than ever for American F1 fans to go to races. Additionally, the weekend brought the first FP1 session of the year for American F2 driver Logan Sargeant with Williams. As DailyMail.com reported, Williams boss Jost Capito later confirmed that Sargeant would race for the Oxfordshire based team, if he earned enough Super License points. He would be the first American to race in F1 since Alexander Rossi in 2015 and could be the first American to race a full calendar since Scott Speed in 2006. Over 440,000 people attended the race weekend at the Circuit of the Americas for the USGP With the drivers championship already in Max Verstappen's hands, Red Bull wrapped up the 2022 constructors championship at COTA thanks to a win by the Dutchman While impressive, the 440,000 is quite a ways away from the all-time record for a grand prix weekend. That was set during the last Australian Grand Prix to be held in Adelaide in 1995, with over 520,000 watching Damon Hill tear up the Adelaide Street Circuit for one last time. Television viewership was also up for those who couldn't make the race - with an American TV audience of over 9.2 million. That marks a seven percent increase from the previous year's race. It's important to note that last year's attendance at COTA of 400,000 came in the midst of a then-undecided title fight between Mercedes and Red Bull. This year, the drivers championship was already won by Max Verstappen and the constructors championship was all but confirmed as well. Yet, there were still about 40,000 more who attended this year. The 2000 United States Grand Prix still holds the record for the highest attended race day in Formula One history, with over 250,000 showing up for Sunday in Indianapolis to watch Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello finish P1 and P2 for Ferrari. Verstappen overtook Lewis Hamilton on lap 50 to take the lead and eventually win the race Advertisement Share or comment on this article: The United States Grand Prix was the MOST-ATTENDED race of the season as 440,000 descended on Austin via Formula One | Mail Online https://www.dailymail.co.uk?ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490&ito=1490

Danny Ric was feeling the Texas spirit last weekend! He arrived on media day in full cowboy get up, including a bucking bronco western shirt, bolo tie, cowboy hat, and his facial hair shaved into a horseshoe mustache.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He then continued the theme on Sunday during the drivers parade, where he swapped his usual team shirt for a personalized Texas Longhorn jersey. And we can’t forget the most important piece of his ensembles, was the Texas Accent he tried on for a few interviews! After a rough start to the season, its great to see Danny back to his usual playful self post-Monza win, hopefully his spirits will continue to rise after a good result in Austin!

Soooooooo in personal news, I got dinner at the same place as Daniel and got a pic with him and he was super cool. But I feel like the best thing I observed was when he laughed when a Mercedes ad came on during the Bills game.
