Hello, I want to theorize on Ace’s unique magic. Translations done by @twstarchives
Deuce, Epel, and Rook all have hints to their Unique Magic in their max lvl lines. Epel saying he feels he could put anyone to sleep, which is his Unique Magic exactly. Rook says there is beauty in the world that can't be seen unless you have mastered a certain art. Deuce’s is a bit vague, but it kind of connects in my mind?
Max Lv Up Deuce “I’ve never had anyone join me for intensive training as persistently as you have. I feel like I’ve been steadily making progress ever since I met you.”
And his Unique Magic is steadily building up and absorbing surrounding magic to fire back with.
---
Max Lv Up Rook “There exists beauty that can’t be seen unless you’ve mastered an art. Très bien! I’ve been shown another new world thanks to you.”
Rook’s UM is “I See You” which allows him to pin point the location of anyone/anything he has marked with his magic.
---
Max Lv Up Epel “I feel a strong power rising in me, like an ice-cold poison. It feels like I could put anyone to sleep... maybe?”
Epel can create magic glass coffins that can act as both an offensive and defensive spell, whatever is captured in the coffin being put into a deep sleep.
---
So I want to take a look at Ace's max lvl lines and see if I can figure anything out.
Max Lv Up Ace “This feels incredible. Now that I’ve got this, it’ll probably be a lot easier for me to back up a certain someone who can’t use magic.”
I think Ace will be able to temporarily lend someone his magic. Because his line is the only of the entirety of the cast that mentions helping you and not you helping them. He’s also the only one to mention your lack of magic, that might just be him teasing you, but I think it could be the hint for his unique magic. And he says it'll be easier to back someone up, so his Unique Magic might be a support/defensive magic, to contrast Deuce's offensive magic.
The only things I could come up with are, as I said previously,
1. Him lending you his magic for a short while. Perhaps just his special wind magic, or the entirety of his magic. Whether it’s entirely transferring it to you for a short while, leaving him unable to use magic until it’s returned. Or it’s a duo thing. Just, surprise! You have magic now, too!
2. I love the time loop theory, but I don’t think it’s entirely plausible, so here’s the crack theory that his magic is rewinding time to back you up from whatever he’s rewinding time from. Either to the beginning of the game, or like, 10 seconds in the past.
3. His Unique Magic could be summoning a magic card soldier. It can act as both a (living) shield, and an offensive unit. It’s a separate entity that Ace can command, but once it sustains enough damage it disappears or something. (Akin to Weiss from RWBY and her summoning glyphs.)
To add onto this idea, maybe summoning the card soldier is similar to an overblot phantom. When he uses his UM it can release the built-up blot and get rid of it via the card soldier
-
I think #3 is most likely, since it matches with his interest in magic tricks. It includes the card, and can be used to trick the opposing force (separate entity that acts independently, but under the orders of Ace, like a phantom)
EDIT: My friend is super smart and said “...his unique magic being able to quite literally "back you up" and reverse time a little bit. Pretty cool idea, nice play on the time loop theory and nice play on words” THEY ARE A GENIUS AND THEY DON’T EVEN PLAY THE GAME HOW ARE THEY SO TALENTED????
That’s all I have for now, please let me know what you think! Thank you for reading this far :)

So a thing I’ve noticed about necron books…
I do not think it is controversial to say that Robert Rath and Nate Crowley really defined how a lot of us (especially me) view necrons in modern 40k lore. They did so much heavy lifting to take the faction that was literally just Terminator ripoff (aka Tyranids but worse) and make them into characters.
But they did it in such different and almost contradictory ways. And I think it boils down to this:
Rath's necrons are gods who were once mortal. Crowley's necrons are mortals forced to become gods.
(disclaimer: I don't think one author is "more correct" or whatever. Different characters experience the universe in different ways, embrace a little subjectivity does objective truth even exist?)
Let's start with Crowley. In both Severed and Twice Dead King, memories and bodies are defining features of their narratives. Oltyx can and does revisit his memories at will (not without consequence get your pins out and put em in). He is haunted by disphorakh, this feeling that he should have an organic body but does not and that this disconnect is actually killing him. The flayed ones' whole existence is steeped (literally) in flesh and blood and disphoria.
On the slightly less extreme end, in Severed Obyron remembers the flesh times vividly: the battles, the people, who and what he's lost. They are fighting the manifestation of what Obyron fears becoming: a mindless machine, “severed” from his past experiences. And the ultimate stakes in a Crowley book? Loss of memory. Loss of self. Obyron and Oltyx pay this price throughout their stories, and it eats away at them. Necrodermis makes their physical selves immortal, but their minds? Just as mortal as ever. If not even more so. The people they are were formed in flesh times, and all immortality does is wear away at them as they desperately try to cope.
Robert Rath's necrons? Not so much. Sure, Trazyn and Orikan angst about their loss of memory, but the memories of flesh for them are so distant and unreliable that they could not build their personalities around them even if they wanted to. Trazyn's link to the past is external: objects he has collected. Orikan... what memories he has of his past are fuzzy and in some cases straight up manipulated. That's distressing, but not enough to totally rock his sense of self. That’s a stark contrast to how Crowley’s necrons operate.
We all know the iconic Old Man Fight from Infinite and the Divine. Where Rath describes Trazyn and Orikan fighting and points out how stupid it would be back in the flesh times? Just two nerds hitting each other with canes. Well the flip side of that is that what is actually happening is NOT two nerds slapping each other but two immortals with incomprehensible power battling on a scale mortals cannot process.
Rath’s necrons operate on scales mortals barely understand. Oh, the Greek gods destroyed one city? Troy took em ten years? Trazyn and Orikan wiped out a planet's population by accident. And they are both so divorced from mortality that they don't care. Sheesh, Trazyn is so alienated from the idea of a body that in War in the Museum he informs a woman that he’s filled her up with her own dead sisters organs and I legit believe he thought this would make her feel better.
I adore both approaches! The differences in character and perspective, how they relate to the world and themselves. Yes, it creates contradictions in the lore (like why doesn’t Trazyn lose his shit knowing people like Zahndrekh or Oltyx just…remember necrontyr society perfectly clearly) but I aggressively do not care. I love the varying explorations or power, the nature of the self, the truth that none of these people have survived immortality “in tact.” Those are exactly the things that make necrons my favorite 40k faction. Hell, one of my favorite sci if aliens ever. Because both approaches are haunting and hilarious and poignant and so damn cool.
So…uh…thanks guys. Yeah.

"Rita."
"Yes, my princess?"
Himeno couldn't stop the butterflies in her stomach every time they called her that. She should've gotten used to it by now, but their affectionate words always made her heart flutter. Then again, she was the only person the Impartial Supreme Justice spoiled. Even if she was just a mere peasant to everyone else.
"Do you think we would've gotten along in another timeline? If we didn't become who we are today?"
She watched as they turned to the sky above them, a small smile on their face. "Who knows? But I'd like to believe we would. Maybe the roles would be different."
"Different how?"
"Say you were the Queen of Ishabana instead and its best doctor. I'd still be Chief Justice. We would be worlds apart if that was the case. But I'd like to think that somehow, we'd meet and fall in love like we have in this timeline."
"Even if I'm a selfish Queen?"
"Even then."
"Even if people call me a spoiled brat?"
"Even then." They turned to her. "What about you? If I was different in that timeline? If I followed my training and not who I am today?"
Himeno softly smiled. "I'd feel the same."
"Even if I'm someone who pushes others away?"
"Even then."
"Even if everyone hates me instead?"
"Even then."

Currently re-reading TKAHRK
and
"Pshaw. Batcave? Please. Bruce Wayne wishes his creppy little man cave was half as cool as this." Sam snorted
I'm so hoping Sam roasts the batcave as man cave again, but like, right in front of Brucie.
It would be so funny
like imagine Sam is at a gala for some reason (maybe a prank)
and then just roasts the bat cave
and bruce either has to along and roast himself or he defends himself and it's prime bullying material
no way to win for him.
Re-reading? :O I'm flattered you like it enough to read twice, anon!
Oh no, please don't give me the idea to write a gala scene! I'm going to get trapped in it if I do, it'll be a whole arc! But Sam would 1000% go to a gala for the express purpose of fucking with Bruce since the entire Phanteam knows he's Batman now. She'd just progressively dunk on Batman more and more to see how far she can push Brucie until he breaks.
Even better is if she starts throwing in tidbits no civilian should know. And Bruce starts sweating because how does this random heiress from a rinky dink Midwest town know about the dinosaur?!
And a treat for the ask because interaction fuels me
💚
"Well, I'm not sure if Jason told you this but I'm a bit of a comedi-hen myself," Dick puffed himself up, a grin on his face and Jason was leaning ever closer to melting through the floor. His personal hell was most definitely being caught in the middle of a pun battle between his brother and Danny.
"He may have mentioned that you have a spectre-cular sense of humor," Danny grinned back.
"I said his jokes could kill the dead," Jason piped up.
"That was just fowl, Jason," Dick gasped, clutching at his throat as if he had pearls to grab.

strength means fuck all against sukuna because he’s the strongest smartest most beautiful prince to ever walk this earth so maybe something else is needed to break this never ending cycle of special grade after special grade losing against him and yuuji is the one who possesses that something. be it the power of love or simply a shared soul in the past with no deeper meaning but there lays the potential to make sukuna reconsider his purpose. gojo can share his euphoria and make him feel less alone but he can’t exactly offer him something new. it’s kind of really fucking beautiful to me that the strongest sorcerers fail but a nobody who never gave up succeeds. (i mean it’s also because he’s yuuji. his starting point. his past. his other half. [izuku voice] it has to be you, brat…. but i digress!)
but also what fascinates me about sukuna vs yuta is that he gets to see how the queen of curses lives with him in a similar way he, the king of curses, lived with yuuji. except they coexisted in the opposite way yuta and rika do, because all they did was try to detach themselves from one another, fight for the upper hand, to take control of the body and ultimately parted in the most bitter way possible. meanwhile yuta started out the same, didn’t understand how to deal or communicate with her but ended up slowly adapting, understanding, accepting, welcoming, loving her until they lived in harmony. same cursed fate, opposite ways of navigating their relationship. so if you piece this mess of a rant all together what i’m trying to say i think is that if sukuna eventually considers company, getting to truly know others beyond thinking of them as random people, actually experiencing a life preferable to the loneliness and emptiness than come with his current existence then maybe he can reunite with yuuji and cooperate this time, seeing rika and understanding that coexisting can mean that there’s no backseat but they can evenly share this life. look i know sukuna is fun and authentic and i love how he stays true to himself through and through but i’m just wondering where do we go from here. idk idk if gege doesn’t contradict himself then sukuna will win again so sukuita couple therapy sounds less monotonous at the very least :’) give me you make me consider tenderness for the first time ever!!! give me it’s always been you!!!!
and if the other only way out is to die together then they can curse each other a little at the very end… as a treat. god just imagine yuuji saying it to sukuna and him smiling fondly, surprise taking over when he sees tears rolling down his own cheeks… the fact that anyone who isn’t friends with yuuji kind of groups them together like people automatically saw gojo being in cahoots with geto even when he wasn’t… you cannot have one without the other and. yeah. this is the post. i don’t know what possessed me at the end. enjoy. cry with me

Couple years ago I realized Galar gave us the perfect pokesonas for the kids so it was fun to imagine how they would work in game. The second pic is kinda old now so I updated the designs a bit in the first pic.

I’m starting to get suspicious of Silver being in our bedroom. So instead, here are some ideas and alternatives as to what he might have been doing in Ramshackle.
“Silver, what are you doing in my house, it’s 1AM?” A comprehensive list
• Silver was helping oversee the remodel of Ramshackle and was inspecting our room personally out of the kindness of his heart.
• Silver was helping oversee the remodel of Ramshackle and was inspecting our bed to see if it was comfy enough out of the kindness of his heart.
• Silver wanted to sleep and Ramshackle was the closest building with a bed. *
• Silver was looking for Lilia and Malleus after their talk in Ramshackle in Chapter 6 Episode 52.
• Being the kind young man he is, he decided to fluff our pillows for when we came back, knowing we’d be exhausted.
• He gifted us a cool new blanket for our bed
• Evil and malicious intent.
• He’s gonna pull a Marx/Magolor on us
* Silver claims he would never do this. Not only would he not break and enter, he would also not violate our privacy like that, says Silver.

TOM WILSON ✧ 231209 I think we set the tone from the first shift — Kuzy's line did a good job — and kind of rolled from there... For the most part, we felt pretty confident with our game all night.
