Anony, you are so right.

My only hope for us is that as time goes on, pain management gets better for us, honestly.

I may not be hopeful for a cure, but I *am* hopeful that we will be managed better and not in this much pain all the time.

Hell knows we don't deserve this pain; especially not forever.

May you find a doctor who treats you seriously, treatments that work, and new research for your woes, nony.

I've recently learned a new magic phrase that has a pretty high success rate for getting doctors to 1) listen to what I'm saying 2) give me the accommodation I'm asking for and/or 3) get them to back off when I've said no and they keep insisting on tests/procedures/etc.

"It's a trauma issue."

I can't guarantee it's flawless. But every doctor I've said that to has immediately backed down without even asking what the trauma is (and frankly, they shouldn't be asking. It's none of their business). It has been most effective with doctors regarding anything near or around the genitals.

Anyway, might come in handy for some. Hope it helps.

To be honest, most of us probably *do* have medical trauma, we just try not to think about it - so I'm not sure this would even be a lie.
