What does Basilius think of each of his siblings?
let's see as for now, cause remember things change with the years 👀😈
Drystan: Him and Dryston share a complex relationship that involves both sibling rivalry and brotherly affection. As the second-born, Drystan is always close at Basilius's heels, vying for attention and recognition. While Bas sometimes feels a sense of competition with his younger brother, he also admires his determination and tenacity. Despite the rivalry, there is an unbreakable bond between them, and Bas feels a sense of responsibility towards Drystan as the future king and older brother.
The Twins: With a significant age gap, Basilius views the twins with a mix of protectiveness and gentle amusement. He often sees them as young, innocent souls, and he takes on a mentorship role in their lives. He cherishes their childlike wonder and pure hearts, and he enjoys spending time with them, engaging in playful activities and storytelling. He hopes to guide the twins on their journey to becoming noble individuals and often finds himself acting as a shield between them and the pressures of royal life.
He'll try to be a good older brother

There is something I don’t understand and I need you guys to tell me what you think about it
SPOILERS AHEAD OF A PLAGUE TALE : REQUIEM
Is Basilius the first carrier or the Macula, or did other carriers and protectors exist before him and Aelia? I really don’t know if I didn’t catch the information while playing the game, and I’m currently searching the answer to this question, but it isn’t quite clear. In Innocence, it is likely said that no one knows when the Macula first declared itself, and that there was a carrier during Justinian plague who was worshiped like a god. Therefore, in Requiem, it is said by some characters that this carrier (so Basilius) was the first one ? I don’t understand
I kind of need to know the truth about this because as I’m preparing a fan comics about Basilius and Aelia’s story, this is really important to me to don’t use false informations about the lore of the games. And to be honest, if this lack of clarity is something inherent in the games (either done on purpose or just a plothole), I don’t even know which one is the most ... consistent? Is it the right word in English? (like in french I would have said “cohérent”, if it helps)
While Basilius being the first carrier of the Macula, it gives credit to the power he let go by reaching the last threshold, and how the members of the order are unsure of the exact origin of the Macula. But, if Basilius really is the first one, how come the members of the order had so much knowledge of the desease? Basilius died young, like propably at the same age as Hugo, or just a little bit older, so how would it be possible to be sure of the patern of the Carrier and the Protector, knowing that the Macula travels in some families’ bloodlines, and olso which ones, and the fact that a Carrier can use their condition for good and avoid being submerged by negative emotions?  I know like all of this could have been foreshadowed in prophecies or other things, but the order is an organisation of alchemists, they’re scientists, so even if they base themselves on ancient writtings and everything, they have to verify those informations, right?
I don’t know
Let me know what all of you folks think about it, it would really help me

Society needs to stop blaming men for failure in marriage and admit that WOMEN have deemed it in appropriate for today’s times - even though they’re constantly complaining their not happy because they don’t have it. On recent trips, all I’ve been getting is a negative, RACIAL slant, to this argument and I’ve had ENOUGH of it!

Today we're celebrating a different Valentine - Basil Valentine, or Basilius Valentinus, alleged 15th-century alchemist whose chemical alphabet is included in Ms. Codex 1662. We love Basil V. and we love his alphabet. Happy Valentine's Day!

Musaeum Hermeticum Reformatum et Amplificatum
Shown above is Clavis XI from Basil Valentine's Musaeum Hermeticum (1678). It is the eleventh key of Twelve Keys of Basil Valentine.
Recently, the Rare Book Curator here told me that Isaac Newton wrote some notes about this image. Here is what Newton wrote:
The right hand lyon farts on a company of young lyons behind it & bites the snout of ye left hand Lyon & tears him with her paw. This Lyon by her farting (wch signifies her aerial form) & young ones, & being on ye side of ye hearts next the moon & he biting & tearing the other lyon signifies ye female. Behind ye woman on ye left hand Lyon
Very interesting! If you click the link (above) that takes you to our digital collections site, you can zoom in very closely and *see* how the fart is illustrated!
Below is a link to take you to the transcription and photos of Newton's notes.

Balas in Malay got the meaning of reciprocate but the word also got the meaning of revenge sometimes.
So I guess it fits Baofu?
Tumblr media
Balas was never his original name, his real name is Basilius Hill.As a rare zebra that work as a public prosecutor,he was good at it.Hard-working, efficient, full with sense of justice, these word was the best word you could ever thought about describing him.
But,it all changed when Basilius and his girlfriend which is also a prosecutor had went to investigate a griffon criminal gang that named Sky Path Gang (Yup,I just directly translate it)
And they ended up being attacked by them.Fortunatly,Basilius had awakened his persona during the attack but his girlfriend didn't.Which results her unfortunate death.
After that, his cutie mark had changed. There's red claw mark above the original cutie mark that symbols his determination to find Clouded Leopard and avenge on him by killing him.
So,Basilius had changed his name to Balas, signing that the best prosecutor at the city had died in the attack. He had becomed a rumourmonger that collects rumor and upload it to his own website, which is also named "Balas"
He hoping that in the future,he could give Clouded Leopard the claw mark just like his cutie mark had shown.
Ps:When the first time that I saw his name "Baofu",I thought it was 包袱(burden) but never 报复(revenge) since they share near pronunciation.
