sorry i just finished the chapters of the geras reveal and fight and i will never ever get over them. percy survived by thinking of annabeth and grover his two best friends (one being his girlfriend too) and jasons words to him (one of his friends that we know as readers that he'll never hear from again but he thinks jason is just fine and normal) and his thoughts about sallys parents and what couldve been her life if they had survived and that he just beat geras by being fine with becoming old even the bad parts of it and the way he reflected on the gods not becoming older and the way ganymede is written in general

Iris intrigues me so much as a goddess. Like yeah sure, she's prone to anger too, but that's standard godly behaviour. The different thing about her is that she seems to try pretty hard to be a good goddess, ig? She wants to have a good relationship with her daughter. She's being fairly civil and benevolent (per her daughter's request, but still). She doesn't care to seem all-knowing. There's no actual jealousy in her, and not many petty feelings. Her chapter sounds suspiciously like a "Here's a possible demigod ally, presented to you for absolutely no reason (wink wink)" sort of thing yk

Ahhhhhh we have the chapter titles for Chalice of the Gods! Rick made a TikTok showing the front cover, dedication, and TABLE OF CONTENTS. Forgive the blurry screenshot but it's readable if you zoom!
I'm particularly interested in "I Take a Himbo for Smoothies" and "The Chickens Draw First Blood., but none of them disappoint.

This book is meta at a few points and clearly self aware of both of its reading demographics (new kids and longtime fans)
I’m feeling a little called out lol

I got the Chalice of the Gods a few days ago and I loveeee it.
And um Uncle Rick? Why is this book sooo tall? It’s like 3.5 centimetres taller than the other books?….
