Shadows of Doom
The shadows shifted and twisted in the dim light of the cavern, as if alive and writhing. The small group of adventurers pressed on, their weapons drawn and their eyes scanning the darkness. They had heard rumors of a powerful relic hidden deep in the Underdark, and they were determined to find it.
But they were not alone.
As they traversed the cavern, the party began to feel a sense of unease. The shadows seemed to be closing in, and the air grew colder. One of the members, a young rogue, stumbled and fell, his leg injured.
The others rushed to his aid, but as they knelt beside him, the darkness seemed to come alive. A massive creature unfurled from the shadows, its body resembling a dark leathery cloak. Its round, black eyespots glinted in the dim light, and its ivory claws glimmered.
The party froze in terror as the creature revealed its true nature - red eyes glowed above rows of sharp teeth, and a long pendulous tail whipped behind it. The creature let out a haunting moan, evoking sensations of doom and dread in the adventurers.
The cloaker, an opportunistic predator, had been following the party, waiting for an opportunity to strike. It quickly enveloped and devoured the injured rogue, consuming him as swiftly as possible. The others tried to fight back, but the cloaker was too powerful and agile.
With its swift, whiplike tail, the creature defended itself and created illusory duplicates to confuse and disorient the party. In the chaos, the remaining members were picked off one by one, until only the leader remained.
He stumbled back, his sword shaking in his hand. The cloaker loomed over him, ready to strike. But just as the creature was about to attack, a haunting moan echoed through the cavern.
The leader looked up to see another cloaker, and then another, unfurling from the shadows. The creatures had convened for defense, or to exchange information about new dangers and hunting grounds. Together, they overwhelmed the last remaining adventurer and consumed him.
The cavern fell silent, the only sound the subsonic moans of the cloakers as they retreated back into the shadows, waiting for their next unsuspecting prey.

My rogue redesigns will have Batman in straps and latex and Catwoman in tactical gear.
Not elaborating on the former but do you think heels and skintight bodysuit is good for burglary. Do you truly believe that. If I was robbing a museum I would not be in femme fatale latex contorting through lasers beams, I would be a freak in NVG crawling out of the vents and wailing on the guards.

On the right, the cloaker! It's an 8 foot (2.4 m) flying manta ray that wraps you up in its wings like a burrito! It can make illusions of itself, and its primary action that causes fear is called "Moan."
