Sometimes terms mean certain things and belong to certain groups of people and are not meant to apply to people outside that group. And that is on purpose and valid. You can make your own terms to describe your own experiences, you don't get to take terms from other people, especially people more vulnerable/less privileged than you. If multiple people tell you that the term is not for you, respect that.

When terms get used for many different situations they get diluted and trivialized. Remember "trigger"? It was a specific medical term and is now used to mean "something that pissed or upset someone". Brain fog is now turning into abled people just being a little sleepy or out of it, not literally a clinical term for brains not functioning correctly due to various illnesses. I tell someone I have brain fog and they say lol me too XD no you fucking don't. "Spirit animal" was taken from indigenous peoples so white people could make funny haha relatable t-shirts. Two spirit almost got taken by queer white people as well (although I think most people have backed off on that hopefully).

Not everything needs to apply to as many people as possible. You don't need to and can't relate to everyone. We can still support each other while respecting differences.

Hello!! I'm a huge fan of your art and I thought I would ask about your colorwork, because it's genuinely super impressive to me how all your pieces have amazing palettes and they add so so so much to the general atmosphere. Do you have any process to pick colors for pieces? Like using picture references, gradient maps, etc or do you genuinely just eyeball them? I'm super curious :]

Thanks! I very much use references, though I don't use the color picker on them, gotta train the eye. I have an ever-expanding reference folder of photos and paintings with colors that I like so that when I start a new painting and I have an idea of the color scheme I want in mind, I'll already have some reference on hand. Good reference really makes a world of difference!

I also like to bias colors a little bit away from their standard versions:

The more blue green and the more yellow green are both more interesting to me than the "just green" green. Nothing wrong with that average green though, sometimes that's exactly what you need. It's always situational.

Lastly, a fantastic color tip for digital art specifically that I got from Mike Hernandez: Use the RGB sliders instead of the HSB color selection!

By default, Photoshop gives you the HSB (Hue, Saturation, Brightness) color picking setup which looks like this:

It's perfectly functional and has its uses, but it doesn't really feel like mixing color. On the other hand, if you use the RGB sliders:

Now you can add a little more blue if you think that's what the color needs, or you can take away red, add some green, etc. It gets you actually mixing color and thinking more about how the colors relate to each other. It can take some getting used to if you've only used the HSB setup before, but it's worth it!

I wasn’t aware I wasn’t doing positive colour theory on them already!!!!

I’ve spoken at length about the colours buck is wearing are positive for him - from the use of the light blue and it’s relation to his search for happiness, to the use of a shirt similar to the one from the start of season 6 - when he chose to be happy with himself before jumping into a new relationship again.

As for Tommy - we’ve had like 3 costumes this far and they’re all versions of Eddie’s costumes - and playing into the fact that he is visually being shown to be similar to Eddie - in the same vein as the script is doing verbally!

Not sure how that’s me being negative towards them from a colour theory or costume perspective!

I can only talk about what the costume department choose to put them in - and if Tommy sticks around then I will keep talking about his costumes and the colours and how that related to the scenes they are worn in - good and bad - as I do for all the characters.

It’s my blog and my meta posts so it’s mine to do with as I please - I give you my opinions on the costumes and colour theory - I’ve never claimed them to be the definitive ones or even the correct ones - they are MY interpretation based on what I’m seeing - many of my opinions have been proven to be correct. But I am also wrong from time to time - I’m not perfect and I’m not working on the show. Other people may see something different and that is their prerogative - and they can talk about it on their own blogs as is their right. And you have the power to chose not to read what I wrote if you don’t like it - I do it for me not for others - if people enjoy it then that’s wonderful, but I’m fed up of people thinking they can demand something from me or that I will pander to their wants and needs - I’m not going to on my own blog because it is mine - don’t like something - block and move on - it really is freeing I can assure you!!

Hi hello! This is gonna be part of a request I’m doing that has been sitting in my inbox. One of them that I’ve been spending a lot of my time on. Though the headcannons list will have more characters included.

Thankfully , I have been getting more things under control with deadlines. So I’ll be starting to post things I have planned and fixing up a couple other parts of my account. Wish me luck yall that nothing else annoying comes up. On to the work in progress!!  ➜

⇢ ˗ˏˋ ᴄᴀʟᴇʙ ᴡɪᴅᴏɢᴀꜱᴛ ࿐ྂ ･ That night originally was so peaceful , staring out at the moon lit sky with some of your other friends. Though as you conversed , you never expected to have everything get turned upside down. It  was all so fast , not being able to call for the others happily asleep tore you apart. ･ Trying to fight off your captors was a struggle , you thinking the four of you could easily get away. But no , you overstepped and it ended in the bunch of you getting taken away. Not without some battering in the process. ･ You didnt know where you were , trying so hard to break free from the manacles that trapped you. Never stopping to find a way out. Your fighting senses were not very much welcomed by your captors. They picked right through you and your friends. ･ Sadly you got dealt the short end of the stick with Yasha. Spending a majority of your time being captured , getting your absolute shit rocked. All of it was a blur , only remembering the beating that came to you. ･ The coldness of the stone under you welcomed you into sleep. Staying unconscious with Yasha as well due to the Shepherds. If you WERE conscious , you would have known of the entrance of your friend plus a couple newbies coming in to save you and the others. ･ After they dealt with everything , and were able to open up Jester and Fjords cell they found you and Yasha’s. The others decided to have a search around the Iron Shepherd’s base , Caleb decided to sit that out. Instead staying behind with the “out like a light” you and Yasha. ･ Seeing you , so hurt and bruised sent something through him. With how much he’s known you (I imagine the same as much as he’s known Nott) , it sent a feeling of urgency through him. It wasn't like he was scared shitless before , but that made him feel that pit plummet, ･Laying there as the others went to go search around , he couldn't stop looking over at you. Those embers grew more and more , becoming a fire in his chest. What was this? , he hadn't really felt it in a while. What was this urgency? You were another one of his companions , why was he feeling all warm on the inside? ･Just like with Astrid and Eadwolf before , that fire enclosed in his torso blazed to high heaven. This stood out to him , and the repeating's of “no no no no…” trailed along in his avoidant mind. He could bare to rid you with the burden of him being in-love with you. A lot had happen in only a couple days , which led him to lie to himself. ･He halted his flooding in paranoia to a stop. Taking a breath in , he can think about this later and let it tare him apart. Now he just has to wait for the others to come back. He went on to clear his mind , rattling on now to the unconscious Yasha next to him. It could all be solved with time.

Last Song: I Am The Audience - XTC It's been paused for maybe an hour because it's hard to read things with noise in my ears. Yes, I am reading the fanfics NOW.

Last Movie: Bumblebee (2018) actually. Because of that one gif of the Decepticons (sadly not enough Decepticon screentime tho). And with a main/human character I actually LIKED.

Sweet/Spicy/Savory: Probably savoury. I do like sugar but there's something about salty biscuits that just make me devour a whole packet of something. I don't know where Taco Bell is on the spice scale, but a simple burrito from there was too much Also, this only qualifies for snacks. Dinners have to be plain or smothered in vegetables. What the heck category are vegetables???

Currently working on: Gravity and Hello in the long term, and short term, I'm colouring some standalone-pages for additional Among Us & Transformers crossover.

😅 What's a story or scene you've created that you're a smidge embarrassed exists?

I really want to go back and rewrite large chunks of chapter 8 of love-punch. It was the first "smut" scene I ever published and there are aspects of it that could use from real TLC from me, a year later.

❌ What's a trope you will never write?

That list is so long as I am full to the brim with negativity towards many fandom beloved tropes but...off the top of my head coffee shop and high school AUs are something you will never see me touch. I just recently got into writing more AU works, but mundane AUs are something that I never read for unless it's by a writer who I trust to such a wild degree that I would willingly open a high school AU.

🤯 What's a genre you struggle with as a writer (ex. romance, action, etc.)?

I actually used to really struggle with writing action. Love-Punch was the first work that I ever wrote a start to finish action scene with, and I discovered that not only did I enjoy writing them, but I felt very competent in doing so. Currently, I've never been able to write anything lower than an M because I really like eroticism and struggle to write stories without making them sexual.
