One of my favorite actresses is ANGIE DICKINSON whom I discovered and fell in love as a pre-teen watching countless episodes of Police Woman on TV as she played detective Suzanne 'Pepper'' Anderson with grit and sexiness.

Angie Dickinson is more than legs (she insured her for 1 million dollars), Frank Sinatra's on-off lover and Burt Bacharach's wife. whom she married.

She is a gorgeous, sexy and most important talented actresses whose career saw her perform in all movie genres as well as countless TV movies.

A career she put on pause to take care of her daughter who suffered intense mental issues and whom subsequently committed suicide.

Angie Dickinson is still with us aged 93 and we're all the better for it. This 10 Part Blog pays homage to her beauty and career with a selection of 10 of her movies shot between 1959 and 1969 with posters from all around the world.

We start with the movie that propelled her at the top of Hollywood's echelon in 1959, i.e. the classic western Rio Bravo whom she co-starred next to John Wayne and Dean Martin.
