Give me a scene where Persephone begrudgingly teaches Nico some plant magic, a scene where he's absolute ass at it, a scene where Persephone scoffs and wonders why she bothers, a scene where Nico doesn't give up, even though a part of him sneers at the attempt.

Give me a scene where Hades picks Nico up to run an errand and wonders why his son stares at the dirt, a scene where Persephone curiously watches the demigod try over and over again, a scene where it works: a little daisy.

Give me a scene where Nico is crying as more daisies pop up around him because he's so used to death around him, he really thought he was never going to be capable of giving life.

Give me a scene where Persephone softly chides him for thinking like that because in reality he already had given life before, so many times — to that boy who wouldn't have plunged himself into the Styx if it weren't for Nico, to that girl who would have known nothing beyond the fields she roamed, to demigods from both camps alike. Throughout his time in the mortal world, all Nico has done is given life.

Give me a scene where Nico gifts bouquets to Hazel, Reyna, and Hestia, a scene where Nico runs a little flower shop with Meg and Apollo is their most generous patron, a scene where Nico braids flowers into Annabeth's corsage before her wedding with Percy.

Give me a scene that parallels the grass that wilted by Nico's feet when he's grieving for Jason, a scene where beautiful, resplendent honeysuckles, chrysanthemums, sunflowers, and gardenias bloom at the steps of Elysium when Nico reunites with Bianca, with his mother, with Jason, with everyone he missed in the mortal world.

Give me a scene where Persephone muses that even in death, Nico brought life, something that shouldn't have been possible. Then again, she thinks, anything was possible for the son of Hades whose love was so strong it brought the dead back to life.

There are so many unanswered questions that will linger in my mind forever...

Like Marco's foreshadowed corruption arc involving Toffee and Monster Arm but they dropped it for some reason.

That room in Saint Olga's is never brought up again even though they lingered on it like it was foreshadowing the climax of the series. In this room there are statues of heads that look like Toffee... and the Moon, Sun and Star Symbolism on the floor represents Star and Marco being bound by the blood moon. That specific moon imagery is always used for the blood moon - even when we see the actual blood moon it's always shown as a crescent moon. The Sun symbol represents Marco, since in the early stages of the shows production his original name was "Sol", which is the spanish word for Sun.

This bond between Marco and Star is framed like a prophecy - their bond was going to play a roll in some kind of battle but this room is like... never brought up again lol. I guess they changed their mind as time went on and wanted to use the blood moon "curse" as a way to show that Star's and Marco's feelings for each other were always genuine and they were never influenced by the blood moon "curse" to begin with.

Also the implication that the blood moon "curse" was never a curse to begin with since:

1. It never negatively affects Star and Marco like an actual curse would. It was never a problem for them and they were using the blood moons bond as a scapegoat for their own actions. That's why Star tears up and asks Marco "what if it was never the blood moon?" right before their bond is severed permanently and their first memory of falling in love was taken from them forever [the memory was the dance at the blood moon ball.]. That's why their feelings for each other never completely disappear after this episode.

2. The blood moon only shows itself to Marco when Star is in danger and doesn't actually interrupt his date with Jackie.

3. So... people are taking the word "curse" at face value without taking into account who's saying it. From a demon's perspective they are going to view a celestial body choosing two souls to bind together for all eternity as a curse. We haven't really got alot of lore in the show about demon society, but from the pieces we have we can assume that it's largely negative. They pretty much follow what you see from other shows involving demons except that they place value on romantic love. That's why they have the blood moon ball tradition to begin with. But even then, they are going to be mostly negative about it and refer to the bond as a curse... also the blood moon ball is implied to be alot more violent than it is in the episode.

But yeah like... demons are going to view something like the blood moon bond as a curse because they perceive the world around them through a more negative lense than other races in the show do. Also the room in St. Olga's implies that the blood moon bond is much more important than whatever connotations demons place upon it. The blood moon chooses who to bond together based on some unknown metrics and it isn't limited to demons. And since the room in St. Olga's appears outside of the demon's dimension the blood moon bond is an extremely important celestial event - again it goes beyond whatever connotations demons have about it. Even though the blood moon event takes place on Earth it is something so important other dimensions take note of it. So to call the blood moon bond a "curse" because demons call it that seems pretty weird to me.

i cant see my friends

ruins the sense of community

can't tell at a glance who's online right now and what they're interested in

literally cannot tell without scrolling back up who put a post on my dash if it has a single addition attached to it. or like. 2 paragraphs in the op.

i cant click my own icon at the top of the dash to quickly view my own blog

can't tell who someone used to be if they change their username

squashes the margins between the menu and posts, making the whole dash feel more cramped

ruins the quick visual cue of how long each post is and where it ends when you're trying to scroll past ones youve seen before

people put a lot of creativity and individuality into icons, and now i never see them

makes people who primarily reblog instead of make their own posts all but completely disappear
