Tatsuomi doesn't know the details to it either, as Naotora hasn't shared any, but he does mention the few bits he does know - namely that it was at the hands of the no.2 of the Obsidian Eight, and that Naotora may not be able to fight again, as per the blue soul's own words.

He was starting to feel tired.

Their own home was in ruins. The view from the house-- the castle-- everything was gone. He was lucky enough this time to get out mostly unscathed from their latest battle but the others....Kuroko and their people, not so much. He knew that the other bands were experiencing the same thing. They were all being targeted.

Still....

It hadn't prepared him for what Tatsuomi told him. Out of commission? Might not be able to fight again? Ever? Never ever? He needed more information than that. Did he have to fight Obsidian Eight member alone, again? Was he left alone now? How was his home and his people? How was he?

Clenching his fist, he sucked in a breath and thanked his lord for the information, before walking off. He needed air. He needed a moment to himself. It was so hard not to just leave and find the Takeda so he could see Naotora for himself. But Naoe was needed here. Tatsuomi relied on him. He was their strongest fighter. If he left and something happened....

He'd never forgive himself.

Finding a spot to sit, he pulled his legs to his chest. He would find a way to send him a message. If Tatsuomi was able to talk to Naotora, then he could too, right?

Percy Jackson, who had a childhood, who had a mom, who seems all the better for it. Jason can finish his quests and missions and get a pat on the back and congratulations for bringing honor to the Legion and nothing else because that’s what’s expected of him, while Percy gets hugs and cookies and tears of relief and so much love because people had been hoping he’d succeed, not because it meant victory, but because it meant he'd live.

A blue hoodie, worn almost threadbare. The scent of its original owner, long since leached from the fabric. But if she closes her eyes, she can almost see the blue eyes of her first and only love. 

A pair of glasses. Frames cracked and crooked. A reminder of a brother she never got to truly know. 

A baseball cap. It’s magic long faded, branded with a forgotten logo. Memories of a blonde girl laughing hidden deep within. 

A letter. Ink fading, paper yellow. The last words of a dying friend. Words that wish her well, words that wished her well in a world they had fought side by side to save. 

Thalia doesn’t keep a lot of things, but even after all this time, Luke, Jason, Annabeth, and Percy will stay with her forever. The memories of her first family to remind her why life is so beautiful.

Book 2 au: sparring sessions and short hair katara

They like to have sparring sessions in order to keep their bending skills sharp. They allow themselves to go all out and not hold back at all cause they know if anyone got hurt, Katara could just heal them
