Jia was and shall always be perfection. And that's probably the most Marcus would describe her as, especially at first. Johnny legit thought his mum's name was Love for a bit growing up because that's what his dad called her constantly. However, as he got more comfortable with them, he probably started telling them more about her and it would be summed up kinda like this.

Marcus's Description:

"Jia was amazing. The love of my life. I don't know how I lived before meeting her. She was just... my entire world. Johnny's my universe. She's my world. Fearless, almost to a fault, and even more stubborn than I am. She loved music and animals and would always be soft around the latter and kids. She loved them. I think she wanted more but having Johnny was hard enough. She was kind though, and the smartest woman I ever met. Probably the smartest person too. Like scarily so. Ji was also the biggest spit-fire of the century as well. The first time I met her, she broke my bio brother's nose for being an asshole. He deserved it. Generosity was a big thing for her too, giving back and all that. She was good, kind, loving, very devoted to things she cared about. And she was also strong, determined, ambitious, stubborn, and a bit hot-headed. She could be scary, when things went sideways and always fought for what she believed in, no matter who stood against her. But she was also the kindest soul I think I have ever met, besides our child of course. But then again, he takes after her. I loved Jia, very much, with every breath I take. I still love her even now. She was perfect."

"I don't remember that much of mum. She died when I was six. So a lot of memories I have of her are cloudy but I do know I love her. A lot. And she loved me more than anything too. She was patient, teaching me to play the piano before I could even walk and never yelling even when I was being crazy as a baby. She was kind. I remember her telling me how to treat others and all about manners, showing me to bring stuff with me incase others needed it like a snack or water or a bandaid. Small things like that. In my memory, she's sort of angelic. I remember she would sing a lot. Or at least hum. And the whole flat would be full of music. Constantly. She would do funny voices when telling me stories too and when she was teasing dad with me. Mum was funny. We laughed a lot. Dad says I'm a lot like her now, so I guess there's that too. She was a good mum, the best one, and I miss her a lot."

When asked, both Taylor boys will talk at length about Jia and what she was like. Stan and Barry know her from these stories and memories, both the sweet and gentle ones of Johnny's youth and couple-y moments with Marcus, and the much more terrifying moments of spit-fire Jia whenever someone was being a bigot or an ass. They both are a bit scared of her because of this, because they've heard what it's like to get on her bad side but also really admire her. She was a wonderful human being who loved helping others and made that a priority in her life.

you can literally just go wherever bro. i moved 11 hours from my hometown to the mountains to feel more at home. i lived in the great plains and now i can just go out for a hike in the rockies and howl at the sky.

fionna's world being represented by a dandelion makes so much sense ... they're weeds. yet people make wishes through them, changing their whole meaning from something meant to be destroyed to something hopeful.

dandelions are also resilient and it makes sense that something associated with them would. you know. perservere despite the destruction caused by the scarab.

but ultimately i think what REALLY made me tear up over this is that dandelions are really boring plants. when you're a kid you blow on them and make your wish but they're not eyecatching or anything but still, fionna's final wish was for her old world to still exist as it was when she left it (> plain and simple. boring even).

like the moment she realized she would lose her friends, and that her friends might forget each other if the world got its magic back, she immediately decided she didn't want it and I think that ties back to the dandelion metaphor so well... like, do you really need magic to be real to find it everywhere? or can you turn something boring into something magical?

OK so heres some of my favorite things that were talked about during the enter the florpus commentary thing yesterday:

one of jhonen's favorite things in the whole movie is the writing in zim's kitchen that says "do anything is real?"

they clarified specifically that gir was not lying and he did in fact eat a baby at the crazy taco

gir smells REALLY bad. theres like rotting organic matter in his body at all times. he stinks

zim's human suit is made out of actual human skin

zim is acting drunk on nacho cheese during that scene in his house because richard horvitz recorded it while drunk

they planned to have this whole thing with tak's ship only agreeing to go to moo-ping 10 because it knows tak is there. they wouldve shown her in silhouette during that brief explosion and she wouldve stowed away on the ship without anyone knowing and then wouldve shown up towards the end of the movie, but they decided to cut it out

zim did not need to frame membrane for a crime in order to get him into space prison and likely just tossed the guards like 5 bucks for it. its a shady place. they did specify though that if he did frame him for something, it would have been jaywalking

they pointed out during that scene where zim is celebrating peace day on dib's lawn that zim's reaction to seeing dib was very much genuine and that's just how his brain works. he is genuinely surprised to see him pop out of his own house. (they also described his reaction as like "being surprised to see your best friend")

the ham joke was ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL to the film and at some point jhonen remembered it and was like GUYS. WE ALMOST FORGOT THE HAM

there was supposed to be this joke where it cuts to and from gaz and dib in tak's ship and they would've had to stop at like a warp station or something and theyd be waiting in a long queue of spaceships and the radio is broken in the ship so theyre stuck listening to that one song. then itd cut to them like totally braindead drooling from listening to it for so long. and then a little later itd cut back a FINAL time and theyd know all of the words and both be singing along to it. but this was also cut out so only the last bit remained

when asked "who would win: minimoose or mrs. bitters?" the answer was along the lines of "neither, i think all of us lose in that scenario"

the tallest are just two dudes who happen to be the same height and therefore have to share the same job. they are not brothers and they are also not gay lovers ("as much as you want them to be, they are not. there is no love in this universe")

skooge is in fact alive and lives in zim's basement. they wanted to keep the number of "hey remember this thing from the tv show!" moments to a minimum so he was not mentioned in the movie. but he is there

Hey, I had a thought for the fantasy au! So on one of the previous versions of the WH website, there was a rhyme for the show that went:

A house is a place with four walls and a floor,

with a ceiling above and a lovely front door.

There's a bed to cradle you safely at night,

Which I thought might make a good incantation for when Wally properly summons Home (I can't remember if that's ever required for Warlocks but hey, it's still a fun poem regardless).
