Kasbah by 19-69

What I love about 19-69 is that they capture different countercultural eras as fragrances, with a sort of uniqueness and edginess to each one.

Launched in 2017, Kasbah is a dark, woody, and spicy fragrance. To me, its notes of white honey, lime, patchouli, and guaiac wood are the most prominent. I love wearing this on its own, as a honey enjoyer, but I also would recommend layering this with Hypnotic Poison for a more feminine feel. With Hypnotic Poison, I find that the vanillic accord in Kasbah is brought out with some added sweetness from HP. For a more masculine combo, I might suggest layering it with Jazz Club by Replica, which brings out the more boozy, amber, and aromatic accords.

Sadly, 19-69 is no longer sold in stores where I live, but in the future, I would love to try Villa Nellcôte, Chinese Tobacco, La Habana, L'air Barbès, and Miami Blue.
