yeah manwhore gojo is great but what about touch starved gojo who fantasises holding your hand. spends his nights dreaming about the way you would feel cuddled in his arms. his entire face red and blushing at the mere thought of your lips chastely pressing against his. he can't stay thinking about that too long though because it'll result in him giggling and kicking his feet all night and getting no sleep.

gojo who sits downs next to you and almost combusts feeling your soft thigh lightly pressing against his. he just yearns to be close to you in any way possible. his leg wrapped around yours whilst you're sitting opposite each other, his pinkie always reaching for you. he's always blushy and giggly around you and it's the most adorable thing ever. this man loves you so much and he's not afraid to show it at all. he wears the simp title like a badge of honour.

Nam Chunja was found dead on the edge of Goero forest on 5 February, 2024.

Now Jiyul’s out near that marker in the woods wielding a stick. Not like a weapon, though that likely would have been a smarter choice. He’s busy prodding at a mound of dirt that might be an anthill. “I mean, the police force is pretty shit. Are they actually going to find anything out here?” He says to Lijae on his left, because that makes him feel like poking around a corded off section of the woods is justified. It isn’t, but he is a little right. What are the police going to do? “Bet you anything they’re like, mmm…heart attack. Scared to death by a magpie.” Jiyul cracks out a laugh as he jams that stick into the mound to see if ants come pouring out. They don’t. 

Sometimes Lijae can get a feel for these things, and most of the time Jiyul’s willing to believe her. He gets it, being on the end of disbelief. Those looks people point at you. Back then, in that tiny office after he gave his statement, like a mix of insanity and wondering if he was just saying something for the attention of it. He’s unwilling to fold up what happened in the woods, to swallow it back down in the same way that he’s now unwilling to tell Lijae she’s having a hypnopompic hallucination. It’s just rude. “Or what, should we take bets on the animal of choice?” A nudge of his elbow into Lijae’s side. But that’s an understatement. It’s more a sharp dig into the ribs. Jiyul’s always too forceful with these things, like he wants to leave behind a trail of I’ve been here over every body he comes across.

There probably should be someone around, but it’s creeping in towards night and this isn’t the kind of town with a police presence posted on an empty patch of forest. Even if someone did die on it. “You think it’s like Jeongbin?” It’s not like Jeongbin, but Jiyul has a compulsion to make near anything about Jeongbin. It’s off-putting. It’s been too long since he died for most people to entertain him about it anymore. He knows Lijae doesn’t really like talking about him. Jiyul brings it up anyway, punched through his lungs and almost unbidden. But not quite. 

The thing is, Lijae has to believe Jiyul about the forest because Jiyul believes everything she says right back. That’s how these things work. That’s how the concept of truth is created. “See anything weird?” The bland innocuity of this particular patch of forest is edging on funny, given the suspicion around it. “Use your x-ray vision,” he nudges his thumb between her eyes and smiles, too many teeth for the setting.

Really just an incredible story. Shows exactly why Squall is the best, deadliest and most revered SeeD. Not just in physical power but because he can strategize with intense accuracy. And Rinoa’s coming into her sorcery, the Timber Owl’s growing up and growing a pair, the final battle, the steamy love scenes and SeeDs kicking major major ass... it’s got everything. Fuck I’m a happy fangirl.

So! This piece was fun! The sketch was giving me fits. I couldn’t get the perspective right until I started in with a glow brush to show my teenage artist daughter different light source examples, and wa-LA... I put a glowy line on the back of Squall’s big ass head of hair and perspective just pushed into place. Yay.
