Daily Scripture Text: "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." - 2 Timothy 1:7 (King James Version)

Commentary: 2 Timothy 1:7 reassures believers that fear is not from God. Instead, God offers us a spirit characterized by power, love, and a sound mind. This verse reminds us that as children of God, we are empowered by His Spirit to live courageously, lovingly, and with clarity of thought. When faced with fear or uncertainty, we can draw upon God's strength and love to overcome and navigate through life's challenges with wisdom and peace. This scripture encourages us to reject fear and embrace the abundant life God has called us to live.

Celebrating these Jewish values that surround the campers at @islandquestdaycamp, where @ujafedny just dedicated a new Health Center for campers with differentiated needs to rest and be cared for with dignity. I've long felt that so much can be taught in an informal Jewish educational environment, especially if our goals are identity, pride, and belonging. Content-mastery, only truly achievable via long-term formal education, is of high importance, but will be pursued by a smaller, self-selecting part of the Jewish community. Stephen King just knows our psyche so well with IT being our subconscious fears. So why bother even to get rid of them when you can manage them or work around them. Well for one, your fears attract you fears for you to overcome and life with fear is a censored life.
