because lys is enabling me, toshinori was recruited onto his college football team his second year of school over in the states. he knew practically nothing about the sport and showed no interest when he was initially scouted by the team's coach. it took several attempts to convince him to come to a practice, to just "give it a shot" as the man told him, but he eventually did. and it was during that introduction that he was reminded of how much he truly ENJOYED the thrill of sports. he played for his remaining three years in school — moving throughout just about every offensive lineman position before settling on tight end for most of his first and second year playing, and running back his third and final year. he held the jersey number 42 throughout all three years. while he enjoyed playing, it was still a very secondary thing for toshinori — his hero work always came first, which oftentimes had him showing up late or not at all to practices and even games. but he always managed to slimly avoid being disciplined or cut simply because he proved himself to be one of the biggest assets to the team.

Just started TLJ for fun because it was a Long Day and I wanted some form of distraction that didn't involve the current Ghost Crew kinda high stakes episode I was halfway through and I must say..... this is so strange to me
